Tickets on sale Mar 24th

The I Love the 90’s Tour is back! Universal Attractions Agency announces 20 new dates and more coming, bringing The I Love the 90’s Tour back to select stages beginning this May. Come take a trip back to the 90’s with the ultimate arena-sized dance party known as the I Love the 90’s Tour, featuring your favorite hits of the day with a rolling lineup from artists like Vanilla Ice, Tone Loc, Treach of Naughty By Nature, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, Kid ‘n Play, Montell Jordan, Coolio, All-4-One, Rob Base, Color Me Badd, C+C Music Factory feat Freedom Williams, Tag Team, 2 Live Crew, The Funky Bunch and DJ Kool. Presale starts for most shows on March 23rd and tickets go on-sale to the general public on March 24th at ilovethe90stour.com .

After two years of staying at home, it’s time to get out and have some fun! And fans across the country agree: no show does it quite like The I Love the 90’s Tour. It’s a chance to kick off your pajamas, get off that Zoom call, and go straight back to the golden days of crop tops, chokers, flannels, and fanny packs. The I Love the 90’s Tour will bring us back to the time before Smartphones, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, before the 24-hour news cycle, and before we all became stressed-out grown-ups. Leave today’s worries behind for a moment and reconnect with the era we will never forget.

“Ice is back, and so is The I Love the 90’s Tour… FINALLY” confirms the tour’s headliner, Vanilla Ice. “We’ve been waiting what seems like forever for the chance to hit your town LIVE and IN PERSON, and I know you have too – so you better get in where you fit in and get back to the 90’s where the party never stops!”

This is the latest edition of the blockbuster throwback tour which launched in 2016. You’ve seen them take over the Today Show two years in a row, join Pitbull’s New Year’s Eve on Fox, and blow the roof off Good Morning America . With over 300 tour dates since its launch, it continues to be a fan favorite time and time again, landing it on Pollstar’s Top-Grossing Tours list ahead of some of today’s biggest acts the year it debuted.

“People need a good old party like they did in high school,” says Jeff Epstein, co-owner of UAA and the co-creator of the tour along with his partner Jeff Allen. “We feel the excitement too – everyone has been cooped up for too long and people just want to let loose. There’s no better way than to see all your favorite artists perform live and in person with your friends. Whether you grew up then or not, everyone loves the 90’s.”

We may not know what the future holds, and we may not know if things will ever go back to what we called “normal,” but that won’t stop us from being us. The 90’s still are the greatest decade of music and pop culture, and you don’t need a time machine to go back!

I Love the ’90s Tour Returning This Summer With Headliner Vanilla Ice

By Andy Greene

Andy Greene

In yet another sign the pandemic is rapidly coming to an end, the I Love the ’90s Tour is returning to the U.S. in August with Vanilla Ice once again serving as the headliner. He’ll be joined by a rotating crew of Nineties stars that includes Rob Base, Kid ‘n Play, Naughty by Nature, Coolio, Young MC, All-4-One, C+C Music Factory feat. Freedom Williams, Tone Loc, Sir Mix-A-lot, and Tag Team.

“Ice is back, and so is the I Love the ’90s Tour,” Vanilla Ice says in a statement. “We’re gonna be hitting your town live and in person this summer, so you better get in where you fit in and get back to the ’90s where the party never stopped!”

If they stick to the formula from the past, expect most of the acts to play three- or four-song sets building up to headliner Vanilla Ice. He closes out the night with nostalgic hits like “Ninja Rap,” “Play That Funky Music,” and, of course, “Ice Ice Baby.”

Four years ago, Rolling Stone ’s Rob Sheffield traveled to an I Love the ’90s gig in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and caught up with Ice himself. “People forgot how much fun we had in the Nineties,” he said. “We were the last generation that got out of the house. These kids today won’t leave the house — they’re on their computers. We didn’t have smartphones and selfies and all this. So we had to go out. We listened to music in our cars, not our phones — I took the backseat out of my ride and put in subwoofers. We got our movies from Blockbuster, man. ‘Be Kind, Rewind’ — they’ll never experience that!”

Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath had a similar thought about the decade. “The Nineties is when all the genres collided,” he said. “Lollapalooza started — that’s when you have Ice-T playing with Nine Inch Nails playing with Henry Rollins playing with the Boredoms. The walls came down. Alternative music landed by way of osmosis in pop music. You would hear Kiss-FM or Z-100: ‘Coming right up, Mariah Carey, Blink-182, Eminem, Sugar Ray,’ and you’re like, ‘What the fuck is happening?’ The genres got blown apart — that’s why we’re looking back.”

Robert Matthew Van Winkle a.k.a Vanilla Ice is recognized as the prime mover in diversifying hip hop by introducing it to a mainstream white audience. In 1990, Vanilla Ice released his re-worked debut album "To the Extreme" which became the fastest-selling hip hop album of all time and contained Ice's best-known hits: "Ice Ice Baby" and a cover of "Play That Funky Music". "Ice Ice Baby" was the first hip-hop single to top the Billboard charts.

"Ice Ice Baby" was such a huge explosive hit that brought Van Winkle fame and success at supersonic speeds all over the world. He branched out into the film industry, making an appearance in the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and also cast the lead role in the movie Cool as Ice in April 1991.

“Ice Ice Baby" may have had a resurgence of interest in social media platforms like Tiktok, but nothing beats hip-hoppin' and groovin' to the fun-filled sounds of the 90s. “Ice is back, and so is the I Love the ’90s Tour,” Vanilla Ice says in a statement. “We’re gonna be hitting your town live and in person this summer, so you better get in where you fit in and get back to the ’90s where the party never stopped!”

The iconic Robert Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice exploded on the Rap/Pop music scene in 1990/91 selling 10 million albums in four months and hitting No. 1 on the Billboard charts with the single “Ice Ice Baby” and number one album positions. His worldwide album sales are over 25 million and individual songs total over 160 million and are still selling. Vanilla Ice won two MTV Awards, a People’s Choice Award and was nominated for a Grammy. Vanilla Ice has starred or appeared in the movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Cool As Ice, The Helix Loaded, The New Guy, The Bros, Big Money Hustlas, That’s My Boy and Ridiculous Six and Sandy with Adam Sandler.

TONE LOC soared from obscurity into pop stardom in 1989 when his hoarse voice and unmistakable delivery made the song “Wild Thing” (using a sample from Van Halen’s “Jamie’s Cryin'”) a massive hit winning Grammy’s and countless other awards. The song “Wild Thing” was co-written by Marvin Young, better known as Young MC, as was the second single smash, “Funky Cold Medina.” The album “Loc-ed After Dark” became the second rap release ever to top the pop charts and one of the most popular of all time. Tone’s popularity also grew with such notable film roles in “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” “Heat,” “The Adventures of Ford Fairlane,” Poetic Justice,” “Posse,” “Surf Ninja’s,” “Freedom Strike,” “1998,” “Titan A.E. 2000,” “Code Hunter,” “They Crawl,” “Fakin Da Funk,” “Spy Hard,” “Blank Check,” “Car 54- Where Are You?” and many others.

Harlem, New York’s Rob Base first began performing with various groups; Sure Shot Seven, Cosmic 3 MC’s, Freedom Force and Disco Enforcers. He and partner DJ EZ Rock, (whom he has known since the 4th grade) would eventually separate from the groups to form Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock. Their first single “DJ Interview” came out in 1986, their second single “Make It Hot” in 1987. In 1988, Profile records released Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock’s debut album “It Takes Two”. The album produced three Top 10 hits; “It Takes Two”, “Joy and Pain” and “Get On The Dance Floor”, which reached No 1. Its title track became a massive single, and both the single and the album were certified platinum by the RIAA.

Oklahoma City, Okla.’s Color Me Badd is best known for the hit singles “I Wanna Sex You Up”, “I Adore Mi Amor” and “All 4 Love”. They have sold over 12 million records, nine Top 40 hits, received two Grammy nominations and won two Soul Train Awards.

Rapper Marvin Young made his debut as Young MC on the single “I Let ‘Em Know.” In 1989, Young collaborated with Tone-Loc on “Wild Thing,” the first Top 10 pop hit for a black rapper, and the follow-up smash “Funky Cold Medina.” Young stepped out on his own later in the year with the Top Ten smash “Bust a Move,” a good-natured examination of romantic successes and failures spiced by his sense of humor and quick-tongued rapping. The song won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance, and its strong pop appeal helped the accompanying album, “Stone Cold Rhymin’”, go platinum. The follow-up, “Principal’s Office,” was a humorous, everyday high-school tale resembling a Chuck Berry plot, and also climbed into the Top 40.

I Love the 90’s Tour 2022

Featuring Vanilla Ice, Tone Loc, Tag Team, Young MC, All-4-One

Allentown, PA

Novemeber 18, 2022

The 90’s… What a decade. The eighties were pretty iconic. I digress, The PPL Center was packed with 90’s fans but when Tone Loc went through the decades and started asking for the crowd to reveal the year they were born, it turns out the seventies and eighties won, my section, we were high-fiving each other. The 70’s and 80’s won, we (80’s kid here) also stayed till the very, very end of the show. Shout out to my 70’s and 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s section.  Some people arrived dressed for the part, the leg warmers belonged to the 80’s though.

Some of the songs from the nineties included: Lauren Hill “Doo Wop (That Thing)”, “Waterfalls” TLC, “Wonderwall” Oasis, “Fantasy Remix featuring Ol’ Dirty Bastard” Mariah Carey, “Rosa Parks” Outkast, Sir Mix-A-Lot “Baby Got Back”. I could go on and on, and on.

The legendary Tag Team was introduced and they came out and immediately the crowd was hyped up. Tag Team is a legendary hip hop/pop rap duo from Atlanta, Georgia. Cecil Glenn (DC the Brain Supreme) and Steve Gibson STEVE ROLLN, it has to be like that cause when you say, Steve Rolln, you have to yell it out, STEVE ROLLN! I can imagine if you’re an O.G. 90’s kid, you know what they performed, “Whoomp! (There It Is)”, it was a sing along moment and took a lot of people back to “back in the day”.

Tag Team played DJs for a while and wanted to have the crowd sing so they picked some songs to keep the energy going. They picked the Iconic DMX’ “Party Up (Up In Here)” and nobody needed a microphone because all of Allentown, and some of Easton could probably hear the crowd. Tag Team took us back to Bel Biv DeVoe’s “Poison” Bel Viv DeVoe is one of the most iconic Hip Hop and R&B groups ever.

After Tag Team hyped up the crows, the DJ introduced Young MC. Young MC is known for “Bust A Move” from his album “Stone Cold Rhymin’” 1989. He performed some new songs; he talked about the song being used in the film “Baby Driver” and he was glad to be in Allentown. Young MC also dropped the beat and performed “Fastest Rhyme”. He performed “Nocturnal” from his album, “Adrenaline Flow”.

The crowd was up NOW, Tone Loc (Anthony Terrell Smith) is an Icon. Tone Loc was introduced, and he was talking to the crowd. Tone Loc was joined by DJ M. Walk who is “an original member of the Legendary 1580 KDAY Mixmaster’s! DJ M. Walk stayed onstage to help out Tone Loc.  Tone Loc echoed the rest of his fellow performers and said, it’s too cold outside. I agree, Tone Loc, it is too cold. After hyping the crowd up a little more, Tone Loc and DJ M. Walk paid respect to Coolio whom was supposed to be part of this tour.

Tone Loc and DJ M. Walk performed one of Coolio’s favorite songs, “Gin and Juice” by Snoop Dogg. They kept the West Coast and the East Coast included. Tone Loc and DJ M. Walk did a few more songs and then Tone Loc performed “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina”. ( https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005159/ )

The next nostalgic moment was the R&B group, All-4-One. All-4-One is Jamie Jones, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez, and Tony Borowiak. They came out and sang their souls out. The crowd collectively sang “I Swear” because if you don’t all sing it together with the phone flashlights in place of the lighters, did you even sing the song?! They also sang, “I Can Love You Like That” and “Skillz” which was one of my favorite songs.

https://all-4-one.com/

DJ M. Walk once again introduced Vanilla Ice. Vanilla Ice brought his crew onstage which included a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Michelangelo to be specific. He was also joined by a person dressed in a Polar Bear blow up costume. Vanilla Ice talked to the crowd, invited people onstage just as Tone Loc did. He performed “Ninja Rap”, “Play That Funky Music” by Hooked. Vanilla Ice saved “Ice Ice Baby” from his album To the Extreme 1990 for last.

Vanilla Ice reminisced about the nineties and how we “partied, didn’t have social media (There is no evidence of any of this.), camera phones, we stayed together and just had fun. We had house parties and block parties, picnics. It feels so “Long Ago” (Song by Mariah Carey). It was different, we stayed outside, we talked to one another. It was a fun show, a blast. Vanilla Ice also mentioned Blockbuster which wow. Not it’s streaming with Netflix, Hulu, Tubi, Amazon Prime, and more. It’s constant cell phones and with COVID the social distancing made everything difficult and COVID hit so many people so hard.

This concert was more than bringing the 90’s back or feeling nostalgic, it was a night to forget about stuff, to forget about life. Vanilla Ice said, he wants everyone to be a “teenager until Monday or just stay a teenager forever.” Tone Loc spoke some truth when he said, “be happy, just live life and be happy.”

Music is universal, music brought generations of people together in one very crowded, happy place known as the PPL Center and thank you to the PPL Staff, the Allentown Police, the security, and all the good people that keep everything running smooth like a Sade song.

They ended the show with Coolio’s LEGENDARY song, “Gangsta’s Paradise” (Song by Coolio and Kyliam Mash). Again, the 70’s and 80’s kids, we stayed, we stood up, and as the song starts with, “As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I took a look at my life and realize there’s not much left.” When you looked around the PPL Center, you realize every single person that stayed onstage and that was standing and listening to this song that so many of us love, that’s the power of music.

It was an amazing show, and to see Tone Loc, Tag Team, All-4-One, Young MC, Vanilla Ice, and DJ M. Walk. (DJ M. Walk also had us all sing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” together, he took that to the next level.) It was a good show. Tone Loc is right though, live life, and be happy and continue on that “Fantastic Voyago” COOLIO WE LOVE YOU 4 LIFE.

Heart Extends Massive 2024 Reunion Tour with Shows in Nashville, L.A., N.Y.C. and More — See the Dates!

T he rock legends will be setting out on tour along with Cheap Trick, BTO featuring Randy Bachman and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening

After a five year hiatus, allow Heart to go "Crazy On You" with their thrilling live show and long-awaited return to the stage!

The rockers previously announced they were setting out on a massive tour in 2024 — marking their reunion and first run of live shows since 2019 — and, on Tuesday, Heart revealed they're expanding the dates. The group helmed by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson will now continue their run, titled the Royal Flush Tour, across North America through the end of the year, along with an A-list slate of special guests.

While the "Barracuda" group's shows this year were originally set to kick off in late April and wrap up by September, they'll now be out on the road through the fall until mid-December.

Heart's 2024 tour kicks off on April 20 in Greenville, South Carolina, continues in the U.S. through May, before heading to Europe for a handful of dates in June and July. On July 30, they'll resume their North American leg in Columbus, Ohio, and then play through the rest of the summer and into the fall.

The newly announced dates begin on Sept. 26 in San Francisco and last until Dec. 15 in Las Vegas. Fans will be able to catch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees at stadiums in major cities like Los Angeles, Houston, Nashville, New York City, Vancouver, San Diego and many others.

Throughout the Royal Flush Tour, the "Magic Man" band will be joined by fellow rock legends Cheap Trick, and select shows will also include support from BTO featuring Randy Bachman and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening, the project from the son of the English rock group's original drummer.

The Wilson sisters shared a statement in press release about the upcoming concerts.

"We’re so excited to announce more tour dates," Ann, 73, said. “The exceptional talent of the band — Ryan, Ryan, Paul, Tony and Sean — brings a whole new level of energy to Heart’s live performance."

Nancy, 70, added, "I am incredibly proud of the show that we have crafted and am looking forward to reconnecting with even more fans. We can’t wait to share our music with everyone and celebrate the big electric energy of a completely live on the spot rock show."

The Royal Flush Tour comes after the rock favorites celebrated their 50th anniversary last year.

It also marks their first time out on the road together since 2019, when the "Alone" group set out on their Love Alive Tour. At the time, the shows saw the Wilsons coming back together after the two experience a brief rift. (In 2016, Ann's husband,  Dean Wetter, assaulted Nancy's then-16-year-old sons  after they reportedly left a tour bus door open, which he pleaded guilty to two non-felony assault charges.)

Both Ann and Nancy also recently took time to record their own solo efforts: Ann with Fierce Bliss in 2022 and Nancy with You and Me in 2021.

The two hitmakers have both explained to PEOPLE in interviews that taking time apart only makes their work together in Heart stronger.

"[Taking time apart] allows us to bring stuff back to Heart that we didn't have before," Ann said in a 2022 interview . "We love each other. She and I really look forward to smooth sailing."

Meanwhile, Nancy shared in a 2021 conversation that it was "so amazing" to get back out on the road together on their 2019 tour. "I could see that the Heart fans really loved the big spectacle aspects of the show — even if Ann didn't love the bubble machine I had requested," she said. "But most of all we saw how much the Heart fans loved the Heart sisters reunited."

While the previously announced concerts are already on sale , tickets for the fall dates go on sale later this week. Ticket sales kick off with a presale for Citi cardmembers, which lasts from now until Thursday at 10 p.m. local time. The general on-sale will then follow on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
