QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Announce 'The End Is Nero' Summer/Fall 2023 North American Tour

After a triumphant return on the battlegrounds of Boston Calling and Sonic Temple , QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE have announced the details of their North American tour, which will kick off on August 3 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and Citi pre-sales begin Tuesday, June 6 at 10 a.m. local time, with public on-sale following Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m. local time. The East Coast leg of the tour will feature support from PHANTOGRAM and THE ARMED . VIAGRA BOYS and Jehnny Beth will support on the Midwest and West Coast dates.

"The End Is Nero" tour is an invitation from Joshua Homme , Troy Van Leeuwen , Michael Shuman , Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore to come celebrate the end of the world, which we hear is "in a month or two." They would like to encourage the obscene and the clean, the outcasts and the weirdos, and anyone and everyone in between to attend, this is where you belong. Leave your judgment at the door, bring anything and everything else.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE performed live for the first time in more than three years on May 26 at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to the Columbus gig, Josh Homme and his bandmates played one gig in early 2020, their first since 2018.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE 's new album, "In Times New Roman…" , will be available digitally and physically on June 16 via Matador Records . On the eve of release, fans are invited to ring in the long-awaited LP at Midnight Club parties taking place at record shops and pubs across 23 countries. The Midnight Club starts at 11p.m. June 15 and will feature giveaways, exclusive merch including limited-edition colored vinyl, and — in a few select locations — signed merchandise and ticket giveaways. Midnight Club will provide the QOTSA faithful with a first chance to hear "In Times New Roman…" in its entirety, among friends, family and, of course, appropriate levels of bacchanalia.

"In Times New Roman…" was recorded and mixed at Homme 's own Pink Duck (RIP),with additional recording at Shangri-La . The album was produced by QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and mixed by Mark Rankin . The album will be available across all digital platforms and on vinyl and CD. Artwork and double LP gatefold packaging designed by longtime collaborator Boneface . LP vinyl will be available globally in black, green, red, silver and blue.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE said in its album announcement that the record reflects the heartache its members have experienced in the past few years.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE 's last album, 2017's "Villains" , debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.

"In Times New Roman..." is "raw, at times brutal and not recommended for the faint of heart," a press release states. "And yet, it's perhaps the most beautiful and definitely the most rewarding album in their epic discography. Homme 's most acerbic lyrics to date are buoyed by the instantly identifiable QOTSA sonic signature, expanded and embellished with new and unprecedented twists in virtually every song. With 'In Times New Roman…' we see that sometimes one needs to look beneath scars and scabs to see beauty, and sometimes the scabs and scars are the beauty."

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE: THE END IS NERO TOUR

December west coast dates added.

Queens of the Stone Age have announced a run of west coast dates to round out their epic worldwide  The End Is Nero  tour. Following another run of sold out arenas across the UK & Europe, the band will resume its North American campaign in Phoenix, sweeping through the Southwest before wrapping up 2023 in grand fashion with a December 16 headline at the Kia Forum in its homebase of Los Angeles.   Queens of the Stone Age are pleased to announce Spiritualized will be opening this run of December dates in North America. Led by J Spaceman, Spiritualized are supporting their stunning ninth album,  Everything Was Beautiful. 

The End is Nero  tour is in support of the eighth Queen of the Stone Age studio album,  In Times New Roman…  recently   hailed by Variety as  “self-produced by band founder Homme and one of his strongest QOTSA lineups ever, is one of the rawest and heaviest albums the band has delivered, and during Saturday’s Queens, New York stop of their The End Is Nero Tour, they proved that sometimes the new material can be a live standout…”

Queens of the Stone Age is back with their first headlining trek in years, called The End is Nero Tour! Joined by Phantogram, The Armed, Viagra Boys, and Jehnny Beth, they’ll begin on August 3rd in Sterling Heights, MI. The alternative rock group will visit 28 cities before finishing up on October 8th in Sacramento, CA.

A Queens of the Stone Age concert has always been a meeting ground for misfits. And the Seattle-based band kept up their reputation for weirdness with a tour announcement video racking thousands of views by the minute. Trust us, just watch it, as you’ll get a sneak peek of what you’re in for with The End is Nero tour. It’s been over half a decade since Queens of the Stone Age released their last project, 2017’s Villains . And with their new record just around the corner, you can bet these shows will be nothing short of sensational.

The group is set to release their eighth album, In Times New Roman, on June 16th, and people already like what they hear. New tracks like “Emotional Sickness” and “Carnavoyeur” are the ideal blend of alternative and stoner rock that you’ve loved for over two decades! Queens Of The Stone Age has announced details of a new North American tour, The End Is Nero , set to take place later this year.

The dates will kick off in Sterling Heights, MI, on August 3 and continue through October 8, when the tour will wrap up with an appearance at Aftershock festival in Sacramento, CA. Along the way, the band will perform at the likes of Washington D.C.’s The Anthem, New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, and Chicago’s Riot Fest .

QOTSA will be joined by Phantogram and The Armed for the dates in August, while Viagra Boys and Jehnny Beth will open for it in September and October.

Tickets will go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (June 9). A Citi pre-sale will give Citi cardmembers access to a special pre-sale between 10am local time today (June 6) and 10pm local time on Thursday (8). Find tickets and more information on the band’s official website .

The North American dates follow a series of intimate UK QOTSA shows set to take place later this month, ahead of the band making an appearance at Glastonbury Festival. On either side of those shows, it will also perform at a handful of European festivals, including Poland’s Open’er and Spain’s Mad Cool.

Last year, the band reissued three of its albums on vinyl , including its 1998 self-titled debut record, 2013’s Like Clockwork , and 2017’s Villains . On June 16, it will return with a brand new record, In Times New Roman…

Queens Of The Stone Age Extend Their ‘End Is Nero Tour’ With New West Coast Dates

Queens Of The Stone Age dropped their long-awaited new album In Times New Roman… this June, and a little before that, they announced the The End Is Nero Tour . They’re in the middle of the tour now, the initially announced dates of which started in August and wrapped up in October.

Now, though, the band has expanded the tour’s scope: Josh Homme and company announced today (September 19) that they’ve added a handful of new dates to the tour. The new dates hit venues in Arizona, Texas, California, and New Mexico, between December 5 to 16. They’ll be joined by Spiritualized for those shows.

Tickets for the news shows are set to go on sale on September 22 (this Friday) at 10 a.m. local time.

At the shows, by the way, expect the band to bring out the hits, because Homme thinks it’d be “c*nty” not to .

Queens of the Stone Age Announce 2023 Tour

Queens of the Stone Age are going on tour in support of their new album, In Times New Roman… . After the band plays festivals in Europe and the United Kingdom, the North American leg of the tour begins in August and stretches into October. Support on the tour will come from Phantogram, the Armed, Viagra Boys, and Jehnny Beth. See Queens of the Stone Age’s tour dates below.

Queens Of The Stone Age have announced the UK and European leg of their ‘The End Is Nero’ tour – check out the complete list of tour dates below.

Today (June 13), the band announced their UK and European tour dates, which will see them perform 13 shows throughout November. The arena tour will see frontman Josh Homme and co. take on venues such as Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, Manchester’s AO Arena, London’s The O2, Dublin’s 3Arena and more. The Chats and deep tan are set to provide support across all tour dates.

The band have also premiered a new music video for their latest single, ‘Carnavoyeur’, filmed by Liam Lynch. ‘Carnavoyeur’ is taken off their upcoming album ‘In Times New Roman…’ , which will release this Friday, June 16 via Matador Records. Pre-order and pre-save the album here .

Earlier this month, Queens Of The Stone Age announced a  2023 North American tour  titled ‘The End Is Nero’ that kicks off in August.  Visit here  for tickets.

Josh Homme and co. will be headlining The Other Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival . Taking place on June 25, the Glastonbury set will close off a  series of UK shows  including stops in Cardiff, Halifax and Margate. These gigs also mark their first time playing in the UK since their  headline show at Finsbury Park in 2018 .
