Feel the adrenaline with this Canopy Zip Line Excursion, experience 16 platforms and 8 lines with the help of trained and experienced staff members that accompany you the entire time. Admire St. Lucia's rainforest and see nature at its finest in this reserve that is over 100 years old. There's even a Tarzan swing to max out your fun.

Start this fun-filled day by meeting the excursion guide inside your St. Lucia cruise ship terminal. You'll be shown comfortable and air-conditioned transportation for a 30-minute, scenic ride to the Castries Waterworks Reserve on the northern end of St. Lucia. Initially declared a reserve back in 1916, this truly is the best of nature you could see in the tropics. Lush jungle, radiant tropical flowers, colorful birds, it's all a wonder to behold.

Once you disembark at the Zip Line park, you'll be given a bit of safety information and receive your gear. You'll also have the option to obtain a locker for your personal belongings. The cost of the locker will be $3.00 USD with a separate deposit of $5.00 USD. Then it will be time for a short walk through the thriving rainforest. It is nothing less than spectacular.

Then you'll put on your necessary gear and an experienced staff member will hook your harness onto the zip line. Then off you go, with gravity doing all the work, over the tops of the trees to the next platform where another staff member waits for you. All along the way, the combination of laughter, goosebumps, and spectacular scenery will help you forget everything else and just enjoy the good life. Safe as well as fun! There is a total of 16 platforms with 8 different zip lines, the tallest zip line is 65ft height (19 meters) and 566 ft long (172 meters). All zip lines are double steel lines for added security.

You would also enjoy the Tarzan swing! Once everyone has completed the zip line course there will be time to rest and relax in the beauty of St. Lucia. There is a coffee/souvenir shop where you can buy pictures of yourself on the course, snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. We traveler with 2 young kids, and their 80 year old grandparent. The kids were too light, and couldn't make it all the way across some zips. The first time it happened, the guides were on top of it right away (before any panicking), and explained to them how to make it in. After that, on some zip they got to ride with the guide, which was far more fun they said. On the hike, the walk ended up being a little too much for their grandfather, and he needed to take a break. The guides, were ready with water, and offered to stay with him as long as he needed, and we were the last trip of the day. And on top of all that, everyone had a great time! I always knew I wanted to go to Rainforest Adventures when I researched things to do in St Lucia, but I was blown away by how incredible the experience really was, special thanks to Melissa and Ranijh! We did the ultimate 3 (sky tram, walk and ziplines) and each of them were fantastic. We booked in advance and included a transfer from our hotel. The tram ride lets you experience a rainforest in such a unique way, immersing yourself from ground level up to the canopy. The scenery was beautiful but it was Melissa’s knowledge and infectious joy that really made it beyond special. Melissa’s knowledge of the plants and animals in the rainforest was impeccable, she could answer any question and always brought a smile to our faces. The ziplines were enjoyable in a beautiful setting although these were not particularly exhilarating (if you've done anything like Go Ape you will find this extremely tamed). The tram line took nearly an hour (probably needed to be about half this time as a max) - the novelty of this quickly wore off. There was next to no commentary from our 'guide'. The hike which was advertised as part of the package was non-existent. Had to stand around for 2 hours waiting for those that were in our mini bus to finish (we were all put into different groups so finished at all different times - very poor organisation). I picked this excursion to do as its only a 30 minute drive from the hotel and the time described suggested a half a day trip but ended up wasting the whole day due to the large wait.
