LOS ANGELES (October 17, 2023) Slash Feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have confirmed a massive run of 2024 international dates. The newly announced The River Is Rising-Rest of the World Tour ’24 will kick off with the band’s return to Mexico City’s Pepsi Centre WTC, and will see SMKC hit 21 countries, and 32 cities across the globe. General on sale for tickets begins Friday, October 20 at 10:00 AM local time , but fans can access pre-sale tickets from Thursday, October 19 at 10:00 AM local time by signing up at   https://laylo.com/slash/m/river-is-rising .  For tickets, pre-sale access and more information, visit: https://www.slashonline.com/tour/ .

A decade and four albums into their career, the universally acclaimed album 4 –which debuted as the #1 Most-Selling Hard Rock Album –is SMKC like you’ve never heard them before. A vibrant rock album fueled by memorable guitar hooks and compelling melodies, big choruses , and even bigger riffs , 4 hits on awide range of sounds, styles, and moods in 10 songs, and does it all with laser-sharp musical focus and a lightning-in-a-bottle sense of immediacy .

The fourth studio album from SMKC and SLASH’s fifth solo album overall, SLASH and his bandmates MYLES KENNEDY (Vocals), TODD KERNS (Bass & Vocals), BRENT FITZ (Drums), and FRANK SIDORIS (Guitar & Vocals), partnered with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, John Prine, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile), on 4 resulting in the band’s strongest album to date. Recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville, Cobb shared the band’s desire to lay down the tracks live in the studio–including guitar solos and vocals –revealing a stunning, vital sound and style all captured live .

Listen to SMKC’s album 4 , available everywhere via Gibson Records HERE .

The album kicks off with opening track “The River is Rising” —which reached #7 on the Rock Charts , making it the band’s 8 t h , consecutive Top 10 hit single at radio —is one of the band’s toughest and most dynamic compositions to date, unraveling via a menacing, tightly-coiled riff and deep-in-the-pocket groove. “April Fool” followed the successful first single “The River Is Rising” . SMKC performed “The River Is Rising” which Rolling Stone hailed as “raucous” and Billboard acclaimed as “ euphoric” with“ a surging main riff, dissonant hooks, an infectious chorus, and a guitar solo that conjures images of a rowdy bar brawl” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! , HERE .

4 is a standout album that grabs hold, and never lets go , from the deliberate stomp rock of “Whatever Gets You By,” the bright-toned, heart-on-sleeve pop-rocker “Fill My World,” to the talk box-drenched guitar hooks of “C’est La Vie,” exotica-tinged psychedelic fever dream of “Spirit Love,” the anthemic swell of “The Path Less Followed,” to the cowbell-inflected boogie-shake of “Actions Speak Louder Than Words,” the grimy Aerosmith-esque funk of “April Fool,” to the rampaging attack of “Call Off the Dogs,” and climaxing with the epic, six minute album closer “Fall Back to Earth.”

SMKC’s 2024 international dates mark some of the band’s biggest headlining shows since the 2022 release of 4 , which has generated some of the most positive critical accolades in the group’s history including:

“musically stinging crunch-rock … beautifully melodic.”

– USA TODAY

“On 4, the fourth record by Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators , he [Slash] captured the mojo he was after by recording most of the album live in a mere 10 days at Nashville’s RCA Studio A… For Slash, recording off the cuff was as liberating as he had hoped it would be, and not second-guessing himself contributed to the album’s eclecticism. There’s the heart-aching power ballad ‘Fall Back to Earth’ the glam-banging ‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words’ and the euphoric first single, ‘The River Is Rising, ’ which features a surging main riff, dissonant hooks, an infectious chorus and a guitar solo that conjures images of a rowdy bar brawl.”

– BILLBOARD

“On the album, Slash delivers a collection of unflinching hard rock riffs that showcase his tenure as a world-class guitarist.”

– THE TENNESSEAN

“From the insistent churn of the opening track and first single ‘The River Is Rising,’ to the slippery funk rhythms of ‘April Fool,’ the dinosaur-sized stomp of ‘Whatever Gets You By’ t o the off-to-the-races sprint of ‘Call Of The Dogs,’ 4 hits with the immediacy of a great live show . … Slash & Co color outside the lines on tracks like the slinky, Eastern-tinged ‘Spirit Love’ and the uncharacteristically major-key pop-rock workout ‘Fill My World, ’ as well as the widescreen epic ballad ‘Fall Back to Earth’ which closes the record in dramatic fashion. Overall, it’s a leaner, harder and more expansive take on the SMKC sound .”

– GUITAR WORLD (Cover)

“ The whole album is a masterpiece . If you want to know what real rock-and-roll sounds like, crack it up nice and loud.”

 – METAL INSIDER

“Album opener (and highlight) ‘The River Is Rising’ will be a live favorite, thanks to a stomping, Motörhead-style outro, steeped in Lemmy and Phil Taylor-isms . Elsewhere, ‘April Fool’ impresses thanks to a frankly filthy riff , while ballad ‘Fill My World’ is a proper showstopper .”

– HOT PRESS (Ireland)

“An impressive feat.”

                                          – AMERICAN SONGWRITER (Cover)

“While there’s undeniable links to Zeppelin in the final product, hints of country guitar stylings are also evident in some of Slash’s remarkable guitar solos . On the very Guns N’ Roses styled track, ‘ April Fool,’ Slash leans into the riff as the band hit the chordal accents in time. The guitar tone has serious bite, especially in the solo, where Slash drops in some nuanced country guitar licks .”

– LOUD (Australia)

“ Slithering solos and crunchy choruses .”

 – DAILY MAIL

“Through the decades, Guitar hero Slash has gone beyond his Guns N’ Roses roots to create powerful collaborations with groups like Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators , this team’s recent endeavor is a powerful album simply titled ‘4 ’ , on the brand new record label Gibson Records.”

– GOLDMINE (Cover)

“At this point the Slash crew is well-honed, and 4 shows off the quintet’s brawny confidence along with a seamless interweaving of sources . In ‘ The River Is Rising’- the opening track and first single – the quintet tears through a thunderous mingling of grunge (think Alice in Chains’ ‘Man in the Box’) with Tom Morello-leaning solo, ‘Paradise City’-style tempo changes and even a wink at Deep Purple ‘s ‘Crazy’ at the very end. Not bad for a mere 3:42, and the confluence does not sound at all forced. … ‘The Path Less Followed’ is a cranking, punching riff rocker while ‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words’ chugs into heavy boogie … The six-and-a-half-minute [Fall Back to Earth’] comes like a hard-rock James Bond theme, dramatic and careening through texture changes as well as one of Slash’s trademark, biting solos – shades of the Use Your Illusion era.”

– ULTIMATE CLASSIC ROCK

“ A solid album jam packed with soaring vocals, unforgettable melodies, large choruses, and riffs that will blow your mind .”

– AQUARIAN

“The ‘River Is Rising’ marks the first new music in three years from Slash and his band, and it doesn’t disappoint . There’s a metallic stomp to the track , which opens with a tremolo riff that would be at home in a black metal song. From there, quintet lock into a four-on-the-floor groove as Kennedy alternates between epic singing and cleaner melodies during the chorus. Overall, there’s plenty to satiate both hard rock and metal fans” .

– CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

Slash is bringing his brand-new SLASH - S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival to cities across the U.S. throughout 2024. S.E.R.P.E.N.T. stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance. The festival is a celebration of the blues, featuring an all-star line-up that will vary.

Slash, the GRAMMY-winning, world-renowned rock guitarist who has played in Guns N’Roses and Velvet Revolver, as well as his own groups Slash’s Snakepit and Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, has released five solo albums overall, and now six with Orgy of the Damned . After landing on the top of the charts with his first solo album Slash (2010), which featured Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Cornell, Fergie, Myles Kennedy, Iggy Pop, Beth Hart and more on vocals, he formed the solo band Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators who have been touring worldwide and making music together non-stop for over a decade. Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators have released four albums, including 2022s 4 , which arrived via Gibson Records and debuted as the #1-selling hard rock album of the week of release. Over the years, Slash has amassed album sales of over 100 million copies, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Guns N’ Roses in 2012 and was named #2 on TIME’s “The 10 Greatest Electric Guitar players” after Jimi Hendrix. He rejoined Guns N’ Roses in 2016 for a historic and ongoing world tour and is in the midst of a global tour with his group Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.

A great cover takes something old and makes it new again. This is the philosophy behind Slash’s new album, Orgy of the Damned , a collection of 12 dynamic songs that shakes up and revitalized blues classics with a stripped down, instinctive approach. Working in a similar way to his 2010 self-titled solo LP Slash, which featured multiple guest vocalists, the acclaimed guitarist teamed up with numerous musicians and singers to create a singular expression that pays homage to the blues. By celebrating both well-known and largely undiscovered songs, Slash offers a nostalgic nod to the past while reinvigorating the songs with his inimitable guitar playing and the spirit of collaboration.

The SLASH S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour will donate a portion of the proceeds of each ticket sold to The Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greening Institute and War Child Charities.

Saul Hudson, aka. Slash (born 23rd July, 1965) is a singer songwriter hailing from London, England, relocated to the United States. Over his eclectic career, Slash has played a variety of genres, focusing predominantly on heavy metal, hard rock, and blues rock.

Best known for his work as the former lead guitarist from the American band Guns N’ Roses, Slash had already achieved immense success worldwide before beginning his solo career. His work as part of several bands gained him much recognition and critical acclaim for his guitar playing, and Time placed Slash on their list of the 10 Best Electric Guitar Players, back in 2009.

With a handful of studio albums under his belt as a solo artist, Slash has quite a following, and his collaborations with other artists have fuelled his popularity in the industry, allowing his debut solo album to enter the charts at number 3 in the US. As well as being an incredible solo instrumentalist, his talent as a guitarist is in immensely high demand, and he has played for several artists as a session musician, such as Michael Jackson on the album Dangerous, and Lenny Kravitz with Always on the Run.

With several awards under his belt from his solo music, to his guitar riff in Sweet Child o’ Mine, Slash has been admired by industry professionals throughout his career, and his collection of over 100 guitars seems well justified in his talent. Slash is set to put on yet another incredible set of live shows for years to come.

Live reviews

The immortal intro to Welcome to the Jungle. The iconic riff to Paradise City. And of course, the facemeltingly awesome solo on Sweet Child O' Mine. Slash's guitar work for Guns N' Roses remains part of the cultural landscape more than 25 years after the release of the greatest debut album of all time, Appetite for Destruction.

After the gradual breakup of the classic GNR line-up, the guitarist embarked on a few projects of his own: two iterations of Slash's Snakepit, and supergroup Velvet Revolver, before releasing a self-titled 'proper' solo album in 2010 with guest appearances from Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy, and Chris Cornell, among others, though it was his collaboration on two tracks with Myles Kennedy that would have a more lasting effect; following a tour that year with the Alter Bridge frontman, Kennedy has now taken the role of Slash's main collaborator and lead singer. 2012 saw the release of their first full album, Apocalyptic Love, with the follow-up World on Fire released in 2014.

Standing on stage in his trademark top hat, sunglasses and face-obscuring hair (cigarette no longer dangling from his mouth, though, following his mother's passing from lung cancer), my first chance to see Slash was at the Manchester Academy in 2010. In a sea of 2000 crazed fans, I finally got to bear witness to Slash's masterful fingerwork up close. While not possessing the awe-inspiring raspy screams and magnetic presence of Mr. Rose, Myles Kennedy does an admirable job of performing songs old and new (Jimmy Page considered touring with him), and is punctual ;)

Seeing them again in a much more subdued but no less intimate environment at the Brixton Academy in 2012, I could more finely appreciate performances such as that of neo-classical metal masterpiece Anastasia, while still headbanging to hard rock showpieces like Rocket Queen. Though there is often the danger at guitarist-centric gigs of descending into guitar wankery and overlong solo spots, there is never a dull moment at a Slash show.

GNR classics Nightrain, Sweet Child O' Mine, and Paradise City are setlist staples, with Welcome to the Jungle, Out Ta Get Me, and Civil War making frequent appearances. Velvet Revolver's two biggest hits Fall to Pieces and Slither also comprise the core setlist (the extended intro in performances of the latter is superb), with fan favourites from the Snakepit and solo albums in rotation as well.

After the Brixton show, with a little patience I got to meet the man himself. Signing my ticket, I geeked out and said "I'd love to hear Locomotive and Coma some time!" "Hahah, yeah.... That's not gonna happen." Nevertheless, I'll be seeing him again at Wembley Arena in Dec 2014, and there is no doubt in my mind that despite the larger venue, Slash's guitar will have the entire crowd riding the Nightrain down to Paradise City.

Slash, again, proves that he thoroughly deserves his "Rock God" status.

The show was high-energy and full of catchy tunes throughout.

That's what makes these an experience - those riffs just grab you and fill you up. It was good to see that, compared to the last tour, more of the set-list came from Slash's solo material (compared to old G'n'R songs), and that the audience knew and responded to most of that stuff with as much enthusiasm as the Guns 'n' Roses songs. Also nice to see a Velvet Revolver tune slip into the list too this time.

There's no real theatrics here, no fireworks, no OTT light shows. Myles Kennedy has great energy and enthusiasm, while Slash takes his place somewhat alone and aloof on one side of the stage, but somehow that just all plays into the Rock God image. But with music this good, you don't need gimmicks.

Couple of nice moments - the bassist has a great voice, and was handed the vocals for a couple of songs (Dr. Alibi, originally sung by Lemmy on Slash's first solo album, and G'n'R classic You're Crazy).

To kick off the encore, Glenn Hughes came back onstage with California Breed bandmate Andrew Watt to do a full-octane version of Deep Purple classic Burn (on which originally Hughes played bass, but David Coverdale sung).

Speaking of support acts, California Breed... well, to be honest, they didn't do too much for me. Couple of the songs were enjoyable enough, the rest failed to move me.

Twenty Two Hundred I hadn't come across before but certainly had me paying attention, and I'll check them out further.

Overall a very fun night, and well worth 6 hours in the car driving to and from Glasgow for!!

I (43 years old) was at this show with my son (20 years old) and it was lovely to see a mix of ages at this show and being able to share my love of music with my son (his first proper gig!!, pubs and clubs don’t count) his comment half way through the second song sums up the whole night “dad, this is cool, they sound just like the record, but better!

The gigs that I’ve been to never sound as good as this” This was the very best gig that I have seen in a very long time (Eagles, Quo, Ozzy, Kiss, Def Leppard and lots of others) the sound and lighting (with surprises) was perfect for the venue, Slash is the guitar god that we know and love, and he rocked his guts out the whole night! Myles Kennedy (vocals)(also in Alter Bridge) has an amazing “live” voice his vocal range is phenomenal and fitted the songs so well, and on that note (pun intended) even the G’N’R songs that were played, to me (and my son) Myles nailed them and in my opinion way better than Axel (others may disagree). Todd Kerns (bass) is going to go far if he keeps that sprit up, the whole night he and Frank Sidoris (Rhythm guitar) was encouraging the crowd to get involved, a true showman, and what a bass player! Meanwhile behind his drums was Brent Fitz keeping such a painstaking rhythm and never missing a beat.

Bottom line, if you get a chance (ever!) go see them, you will love it. I know I would go again to any of their shows, any time, ever!

Well impressed with opening act, Twenty Two Hundred!

They sound wicked, expect to hear them become a Planet Rock staple in the near future! California Breed were disappointing! Andrew Watts amps weren't set up right in my opinion so the sound was fuzzy which is a shame cos he's obviously a talented guitarist! Glenn Hughes overdid the screaming which was very off putting! Slash was outstanding alongside Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators! A great mix of Slashs' solo stuff alongside GnR classics with a little Velvet Revolver thrown in for good measure! Myles Kennedy, Outstanding, what a vocalist!

Oh, but the 15 minute solo on 'Rocket Queen' really fucking dragged! Started off with about 5 minutes of 'Wacka wacka' noodling which was technically excellent but went on so long that by the time that Slash reached the heavy quasi Gilmore-esque part of the solo, most of the crowd seemed a bit bored! Could have fitted in another two songs including the criminally ommited, Starlight which for me is one of Myles Kennedys' finest ever vocals! The place went insane when Slash played the famous Sweet Child Of Mine riff!

martin-hizer’s profile image

With the incredible Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, Slash seems to have finally found a band with stability. Even though it's his name that stands out, this is very clearly a five-man show. There are no egos, just comradery.

Though they still play some songs from the likes of Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver, they have definitely reached a point where they no longer rely on them. They are not afraid to let their own material dominate the setlist and it's clear from audience relationship that the songs are strong enough for this. From the energy-inducing "You're a Lie" to the soaring "Bent To Fly" and the gritty "Beneath the Savage Sun", the songs are all played with the same skill and enthusiasm.

Accompanied by the incredible vocal range of Myles Kennedy, the resounding bass of Todd "Dammit" Kerns, the accomplished guitar playing of Frank Sidoris and the impeccable drumming of Brent Fitz, Slash has found an excellent outlet with which to let his sublime talents reach live up to their great potential.

Slash was great. He is one of the best guitar players around and arguably one of the best all time in Rock & Roll. The difficulty is it is hard to outlive or outshine his roll with Guns and Roses, an all time favourite band of many of the people who came out to see Slash.

The Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators are not quite to the level of Slash, but some of the originals from the Living the Dream album are absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately they are not well known to the crowd.

Nightrain was the only song from Guns and Roses played, which is understandable, but unfortunately does not allow the crowd to interact the way they would like. A few more G&Rs songs to spice it up would really make the show better. Amazing 15 minute guitar solo, which was very reminiscence of the 70s.

Another great concert from one of the best guitarists of all time. Starting out with Call Of The Wild from his latest album the band proceeded through Slash's back catalogue but surprisingly only one G'N'R song (Nighttrain). They played seven songs from their current album Living The Dream and Slash played three extended solos of approximately ten minutes each on Wicked Stone,Anastasia and World On Fire. If you haven't seen this supremely talented guy in concert you must see him once at least in your lifetime. Overall a superb concert from the main event of guitarists.Slash sets the bar that other guitarists struggle to reach.

The concert was awesome; unfortunately although I bought the tickets months in advance from Ticketmaster, there was a discrepancy between what I was showed on the seats map when I bought them and the arrangement at the venue. I bought the tickets as the stools were shown to be near the stage, but at the venue the stools were at the upper tier in line with the balcony. Tickets were quite expensive (sitting areas) and also it was the indication that they were on the ground floor. I wasn't happy with this. Regards

This is an artist that is still growing after numerous bands and years in the business. In Myles Kennedy, Slash as found the perfect foil that compliments his guitar work. The Conspiritors are now less than a mere backing band. As a unit, they are one great, tight rock band. Slash performed songs from his previous bands with a vigour that made the gig truly special. Brilliant versions of guns and roses classics and the inclusion of Slither was a nice touch. A great night of Rock music from a true living legend. Perfection!!

Nothing less than professional rockers that live, are one of the tightest bands on tour. Between the days of GnR, Slash/Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators have an amazing arsenal of tunes to rock it hard for well over the 60 minutes they opened with for Aerosmith. I have seen them open and head line, and everytime I walk away fully satisfied by the level of energy that Slash and team bring to the stage! If you get the chance, I would travel to see this band. Definitely one of the last true rock n roll shows on tour today!
