Taylor Swift's Eras Tour: All the U.S. and international dates and opening acts

taylor swift tour start time

Taylor Swift opened the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — which rebranded itself as "Swift Cit y" for the March 17 and 18 concerts — with a triumphant return to live performance as the first act in the history of that venue to sell out two nights on the same tour.

By that point, she'd already broken the all-time record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day and passed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour as the highest-grossing tour in history by a female artist.

And Swift rose to the occasion , leading her band through a marathon 44-song set that lasted more than three hours while delivering on her promise of "a journey through all of my musical eras."

So what does she do for an encore? Here's where the Eras Tour is headed next, adding two surprise songs to the set at each show. Here's a look at what she's played so far .

Taylor Swift Announces More Tour Dates: "Turns Out It's NOT the End of an Era"

Updated on 8/3/2023 at 1:40 PM

Taylor Swift performs at the Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has officially added more North American dates to her Eras Tour. On Aug. 3, just before the final shows of her initial US run, Swift revealed that she'll be playing 15 additional shows in four cities across America and Canada in 2024. "Turns out it's NOT the end of an era," she wrote in a social media post . "Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams! Verified fan registration for all shows is open now – visit TaylorSwift.com for more information."

Swift first shared her vision for the Eras Tour with the world on Nov. 1, 2022, writing that it's "a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)." The tour's first leg kicked off in the US in March, and will conclude in Los Angeles on Aug. 9. In June, Swift added 50 international dates to her schedule , including stops in the UK, Singapore, and more.

Despite some initial issues with Ticketmaster , Swift's Eras Tour has been a massive success by all counts. It's attracted stars (and their kids) , from Josh Gad and Reese Witherspoon to Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Garner, and it's also reportedly on track to become the highest-grossing tour of all time, per a June report in Pollstar . Swift has also netted praise for her elaborate outfits and thrilled fans with nightly surprise acoustic songs .

Swift initially teased that a tour was in the works on an episode of " The Graham Norton Show " that aired on Oct. 28, 2022. "We will sometime soonish. It's going to happen," she said of going back on the road. "We will do it, and it will be great."

The "Midnights" singer also teased the tour before during an Oct. 24, 2022, appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," when the late-night talk-show host pressed an answer out of her after pointing out the fact that she hasn't toured in four years. "We want you to," said Fallon, to which Swift replied, "I think I should do it." Fallon added: "When it's time, you'll let us know." "When it's time, we'll do it," Swift said, confirming his statement before she added how much she misses seeing her fans IRL.

Swift's record-breaking "Midnights" album dropped on Oct. 21, 2022, and she released " Speak Now (Taylor's Version) " on July 7. As Swift continues on with her star-studded Eras Tour, read on to learn everything you need to know, including the new show dates.

Taylor Swift is, at long last, headed back on the road. Following this week’s monumental chart debut of Midnights , her tenth studio album, Swift announced the U.S. leg of her 2023 Eras tour on Tuesday morning (Nov. 1), confirming her first official tour in nearly five years following months of rumors.

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on GMA . “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

Taylor Swift Is ‘IN SHAMBLES’ Over ‘Midnights’ Dominating the Hot 100 Top 10

Swift said that after kicking off in the U.S., the tour will go on an international swing, with those dates to be announced soon.

Support on the tour will come via a rotating cast of opening acts including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn. The public on-sale date for the tour will be 10 a.m. local venue time on Nov. 18. Swift has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, with fans able to register here for the TaylorSwiftTix presale now through Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Registered fans will get a code with exclusive access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 starting at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Previous Lover Fest Verified Fan purchasers will get preferred access to participate in the TaylorSwiftTix presale; make sure to register with the same Ticketmaster Account as your Lover Fest purchase. Capital One cardholders will have priority access to purchase tickets on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. local venue time through Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. local venue time or until supplies last.

Swift’s planned follow-up to the Reputation tour, Lover Fest, was scheduled to take place in 2020 following the 2019 release of her Lover album, but was canceled due to the pandemic. Since the Reputation tour, Swift has released four original studio albums — Lover , 2020’s Folklore and Evermore , and Midnights — as well as two re-recorded albums, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) , both in 2021.

This week, Midnights blasted in atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 27, according to Luminate — the biggest week for any album in nearly seven years. Meanwhile, Swift made history on the Hot 100 by becoming the first artist to claim the chart’s entire top 10 in a single frame, with “Anti-Hero” debuting at No. 1 to become her ninth career chart-topper.

Taylor Swift delivers emotional catharsis and anthems galore in epic, three-hour-plus show

Taylormania has finally arrived in Southern California.

Nearly five months after she launched her first road show since 2018, Taylor Swift is wrapping up the initial U.S. leg of her blockbuster Eras tour with six sold-out concerts at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium starting Thursday night.

It’s a love story, L.A. just says yes: How Taylormania took over the world

Cultural dominance. History-making album sales. Sold-out stadiums. Add them up, and Taylor Swift’s current moment has little precedent in pop-music history.

Aug. 1, 2023

The tour ostensibly comes behind Swift’s 10th studio album, “ Midnights ,” which came out in October and immediately set a record for the most streams ever accumulated in a single day on Spotify. Since then the LP has been certified double platinum and spun off a No. 1 single in “Anti-Hero”; it’s also a strong contender for an album of the year nomination at February’s Grammy Awards.

As the tour’s name suggests, though, Swift’s live show — with dozens of songs spread over three hours or more — is meant to encompass the 33-year-old’s entire career, from her days as a teenage country phenom through her pop breakthrough with 2012’s “Red” to her current station as a kind of fairy godmother figure to a generation of younger songwriters including Gracie Abrams and Gayle, both of whom are among her opening acts at SoFi.

How to watch the Taylor Swift concert from the comfort of your sofa

Couldn’t score a ticket to SoFi? On TikTok, one Swiftie has built a following by curating and broadcasting fans’ nightly live recordings of the singer’s three-hour sets.

Has any pop-culture event been more closely followed this summer? (Maybe “Barbenheimer.”) In addition to the hundreds of thousands of people who’ve taken in one of Swift’s gigs in person — driving gross proceeds toward an expected $1 billion or more by the time she’s finished circling the globe next year — the Eras tour has maintained a constant presence on TikTok thanks in the part to the show’s blend of novelty and familiarity: You know she’ll play a surprise song or two, but you don’t know which ones; you know she’ll place a hat on a lucky fan’s head during “22,” but you don’t know who the fan will be.

The ultimate guide to seeing Taylor Swift at SoFi Stadium

Parking! Public transit! Fan chants! Friendship bracelets! Everything you need to know before you see Taylor Swift at SoFi Stadium for the L.A. stops of her Eras tour.

Aug. 4, 2023

Might Swift, who revealed early Thursday that she’d scheduled a second round of North American dates next year, have even more up her sleeve in L.A.? The Times’ Mikael Wood and Suzy Exposito are at SoFi for opening night and will provide live updates from the show as it happens.

A fan with Taylor Swift merchandise at SoFi Stadium

6:12 p.m. Greetings from SoFi Stadium, where the struggle to park is real enough that I just saw somebody’s pink boa come hurtling out of a car window in what looked like frustration. (Hope they brought an extra.)

I’m Mikael Wood, The Times’ pop music critic, and I’m here with Times columnist Suzy Exposito for Night 1 of Taylor Swift’s weeklong … takeover? Residency? Not sure yet what we’re calling this.

In any event, tonight won’t be my first time seeing the Eras tour; I was there back in March for the road show’s opener in Arizona. But I’m excited to see what’s changed, what’s different and of course how palpable the crowd frenzy is now that folks know what’s coming. — M.W.

Wrists filled with friendship bracelets

6:35 p.m . The first of tonight’s opening acts is 23-year-old Gracie Abrams, a talented L.A.-based singer-songwriter — and the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams — who told me recently that Swift has been such a formative influence that she can’t “remember a time in my life where Taylor wasn’t the immediate go-to inevitable soundtrack.” Abrams added: “She has scored every formative memory I have” — a level of influence I don’t think I’ve ever heard an artist describe before. — M.W.

6:47 p.m. One thing I know about the show now that I didn’t know in March: the existence of the little tent in which Swift’s celebrity pals watch the show. Will definitely cruise by and try to clock who’s there — minutes (hours!) behind the teens on TikTok, no doubt. — M.W.

Happy fans at SoFi Stadium.

7:04 p.m. “Hi, L.A. — this is so crazy,” Abrams tells the crowd of tens of thousands at the top of her set, which is certainly fair considering that I saw her play the comparatively tiny Fonda Theatre in Hollywood just a few months ago.

Abrams’ Swift standom is no less intense onstage than it was in our interview: “This tour has been beyond our wildest dreams,” she says, going on to describe the Eras tour as “the best thing that’s ever happened.”

And yet she’s doing her breathy and introspective chamber-folk tunes with a poise that belies however amped she is inside. — M.W.

Gracie Abrams performs at SoFi Stadium.

7:05 p.m. A true Angeleno, Abrams asks the audience if they were at Swift’s “1989” shows at Staples Center — before the dreaded name change to Crypto.com Arena — back in 2015. — M.W.

7:10 p.m. A pre-show anecdote that Swifties (and their moms) should be able to relate to: As evidenced by the barren shelves that were once filled with letter beads, it was clear that fans had ransacked craft stores all over greater Los Angeles this week to partake in the Eras tour tradition of wearing homemade friendship bracelets to the concert. I searched Hollywood, Glendale and Pasadena — where at Michael’s, an agitated woman, likely some young girl’s mother, began flinging packets of beads with only numbers on them. “I can’t believe I’m doing this,” she swore under her breath, before smiling wryly at me. “It’s ALLLLL for the TikTok!” she said with a laugh. — Suzy Exposito

7:22 p.m. Next up as the evening’s second opening act is Haim, the sly L.A. sister trio who’ve been opening for Swift for what seems like eons. As with Abrams, I caught Haim recently at a small club (in this case the just-opened Bellwether); curious how they fare in the gigantic stadium setting. — M.W.

7:37 p.m. “Any Valley girls here tonight?” asks Alana Haim, whose sister Este volunteers that she was “born and raised in the 818” — Tarzana, specifically. (Este leaves the precise coordinates of her sisters’ origins unstated.) Then the trio rips into “Want You Back,” accompanied by video of a stroll down Ventura Boulevard where Sherman Oaks edges into Encino. — M.W.

7:48 p.m. Haim is really bringing the laid-back, ‘70s country-rock vibe to SoFi. These L.A. witches are a fitting opener for what’s essentially the biggest coven gathering this city’s seen in years. — S.E.

Haim's Danielle Haim performs at SoFi Stadium on Thursday.

7:52 p.m. Haim closes with “The Steps,” which feels like the rawest rock song I’ve heard at SoFi since … the Rolling Stones in 2021? — M.W.

7:56 p.m. Between the “Barbie” movie and the Eras tour, it’s been a banner summer for girl culture. I love seeing girlfriends (straight and gay) here, in their matching boots and fuzzy cowboy hats. Taylor is obviously not just for girls — dads too, and I’ve seen several guys here sporting tiaras, sequins and/or pink — but to be a girl feels aspirational in a place like this, even if it’s only for the next six nights. — S.E.

Fans at SoFi Stadium.

8:13 p.m. Spotted in the celebrity tent: Babyface! — M.W.

8:25 p.m. We happen to be seated next to Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of “The Hills” fame. Heidi’s favorite Taylor era? “Folklore.” His? “Reputation.” I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Speidi kindly gifted me a bracelet of beads from their shop, made of rose quartz and jade. Thanks y’all! — S.E.

8:29 p.m. Taylor time: Swift opens with “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,” as she has every show on the tour, before moving into “Cruel Summer,” which has become an honest-to-goodness radio hit three years after its release. The roar of the crowd is absolutely deafening. — M.W.

Could Taylor Swift mania fuel a COVID cruel summer? What you need to know

Could Taylor Swift’s mega-tour have fans seeing red on their next COVID test? Here’s how officials say concertgoers can help protect themselves.

8:34 p.m. Swift dons a sparkly suit jacket to sing “The Man,” which she’s staging amid an old-school scene a la “Mad Men.” — M.W.

8:35 p.m. The tens of thousands of Swifties wearing light-up bracelets are glowing across the stadium for her song of LGBTQ solidarity, “You Need to Calm Down.” Taylor is for lovers! — S.E.

8:38 p.m. “Is there anyone here who put in an extensive amount of effort to be with us here tonight?” Swift asks. Then she wants to know if this extra effort can be put into two categories: “lyric memorization and your cute outfit?” With regard to cute outfits: seeing many a sparkly cowboy hat. And, yeah: Basically every human here knows every word to every song. — M.W.

8:48 p.m. Swift has come out to the end of her stage runway to sing “The Archer,” which means it’s time for the folks next to us to hold up their signs and shake them in the hope that Swift sees them. Directly in front of us: A girl of probably 8 whose sign reads “SLAY.” — M.W.

8:54 p.m. We have moved from the “Lover” era to the “Fearless” era, and what I’m thinking about as Swift sings the “Fearless” title track is how she’s managed to renew her fan base with young people who don’t view these songs as juvenile but as utterly up-to-date evocations of young love. Who else has grown up with her audience at the same time that she’s replaced it? — M.W.

Taylor Swift at SoFi Stadium in a sparkly leotard.

8:59 p.m. Internet rumor had it that these SoFi shows were set to be filmed for a concert movie of some sort. Can confirm that there are multiple cameras on cables soaring above the crowd. — M.W.

9:00 p.m. Key change in “Love Story”? Still totally epic. — M.W.

Taylor Swift plays a guitar while her hair flies on stage.

9:02 p.m. We’re into the “Evermore” era with an assist from Haim, who’ve joined Swift for “No Body No Crime.” — M.W.

9:11 p.m. Was “Willow” as deliciously witchy as this when I saw her in Arizona. I don’t remember Taylor in a cape and her dancers holding glowing orbs, as they are here tonight. — M.W.

9:14 p.m. Swift is singing “Marjorie” and there is a woman in front of me shaking her hair and convulsing like Elaine Benes in “Seinfeld.” She must have caught the spirit — or had one too many margaritas. — S.E.

Taylor Swift in a floor length yellow dress and Danielle Haim on guitar perform onstage.

9:20 p.m. “We have a lot to catch up on, musically speaking,” Swift says, before explaining that the reason she didn’t tour for five years was because we had “much more important things we had to worry about” amid a “global pandemic.” Once she got back on the road, she says, people would ask her if she intended to play, “like, a three-hour show.” Yes, she says — that’s exactly what she intended to do. Cue “Champagne Problems.” — M.W.

9:22 p.m. Swift is taking a minute, head resting upon her moss-covered piano, to take in the crowd’s adulation. — M.W.

Taylor Swift plays her mossy piano.

9:30 p.m. Swift is staging “Tolerate It” as a dismal dinner with a partner completely uninterested in what she has to say about her day. Spend a second thinking about how wild that is for a stadium pop show. — M.W.

9:32 p.m. We hear boots clacking ominously across the stadium. The “Reputation” era is nigh. — S.E.

9:35 p.m. The “Reputation” portion of the show starts with “Ready for It,” which is — what would you even call this song? Confessional trap? (Please don’t call it that.) — M.W.

9:45 p.m. Wild to remember how controversial “Look What You Made Me Do” was when it first came out — for Swifties, this song is basically “Hotel California.” — M.W.

9:49 p.m. Hear me out — “Look What You Made Me Do” is a killer electroclash song that made it to the airwaves 15 years too late. — S.E.

9:52 p.m. We’ve reached the halfway mark — insane, obviously, given that the show has been going for 90 minutes — with “Enchanted,” which has the crowd singing along in fairy-tale abandon. — M.W.

9:59 p.m. Time for the “Red” portion, for which this crowd seems very, very primed. — M.W.

10:05 p.m. Spotted during “22”: Este Haim dancing in the aisle. — M.W.

10:10 p.m. “There is one more song from the ‘Red’ album that I wanna do,” Swift says. “Do you have about 10 minutes to spare?” — M.W.

10:11 p.m. Imagine: Over 60,000 Taylor fans screaming about Jake Gyllenhaal’s “F— the Patriarchy” keychain. — S.E.

10:13 p.m. “All Too Well”’s “little kid with glasses” line will never not get me. — M.W.

10:18 p.m. At the risk of giving into Taylormania, who else is out here regaling stadium crowds with 10-minute dissections of relationships gone wrong? It is truly insane that the summer’s biggest pop tour is also its most emotionally complicated. — M.W.

10:20 p.m. “All Too Well” also made for a really beautiful moment: I saw several moms cradling their up-past-their-bedtime daughters. — S.E.

10:23 p.m. Still left to go: “Folklore,” “1989” and “Midnights.” — M.W.

10:30 p.m. Hearing “The 1” really takes me back to that morning in pandemic-plagued 2020 when Swift announced that “Folklore” was coming later that evening. Seems like an eternity ago. — M.W.

10:34 p.m. Wielding a mahogany guitar, Swift is perched atop a frame of a woodsy two-story house covered in leaves and moss. Jamming below is her trusty band. “This is a rendering of what I imagined in my head when I started writing ‘Folklore’ — two days into the pandemic,” she says. “I took the time to imagine myself not as a lonely millennial woman covered in cat hair and watching 70 hours of TV at a time… but as a Victorian woman writing on parchment with a quill in the woods and living in this house.” — S.E.

10:35 p.m. Have to love when an entire stadium of people sings, as in “Betty,” about a moment of being told to “go f— myself.” — M.W.

10:42 p.m. During “August,” Taylor lived out her best Kate Bush fantasy by sprinting across the stage in a flowing white gown — then came crashing down to her knees as she cut to “Illicit Affairs.” High drama! — S.E.

10:47 p.m. “Illicit Affairs” tonight sounds like … a Disturbed song? Can’t say I can recall another moment when Taylor leaned as heavily into her aggro side as she’s doing right now. — M.W.

10:53 p.m. The conventional wisdom on “Folklore” and “Evermore” was that Swift made these albums knowing that touring wasn’t an option. But it’s fascinating to hear how she’s configured these songs for the biggest stages in the world. They’re dirty but polished, confessional but anthemic, intimate yet geared to the needs of more than 60,000 people seeking some kind of catharsis. — M.W.

Taylor Swift and dancers perform onstage.

11:00 p.m. Pop Taylor has arrived. We are into “1989” with “Style” and “Blank Space,” the latter of which has two dancers riding bikes down the stage runway as Taylor swings a light-up golf club. — M.W.

11:02 p.m. “Shake It Off” is as bad tonight as it was when it came out a decade ago. Moving on... — M.W.

11:09 p.m. “Welcome to the acoustic set,” says Swift. — M.W.

11:18 p.m. For tonight’s surprise songs, Swift does “I Can See You” (from “Speak Now”) on guitar, and “Maroon” (from “Midnights”) on piano. — M.W.

11:19 p.m. At the time, “I Can See You” was — and honestly still is — a risqué song compared with the rest of her oeuvre, a psychosexual thriller told from the point of view of teenage Taylor. — S.E.

Taylor Swift and dancers lean forward on stage at SoFi Stadium in front of the crowd.

11:22 p.m. Now we are into the “Midnights” era, with a video of splashing waves that turn into a moody-looking cloud. — M.W.

11:23 p.m. Oh, Swift is in pop diva mode, performing “Lavender Haze” wearing a purple feathered robe. — M.W.

11:27 p.m. All I have to say about “Anti-Hero” is that the image of a giant “lurching toward your favorite city” remains one of the most indelible of the 2020s. — M.W.

11:34 p.m. At the heart of “Midnights” is the intimacy between a superstar and her therapist — bless them, wherever they are — and we get the transcripts in the language of synth-pop. — S.E.

11:35 p.m. Do I love “Vigilante S—“? I do not. It might be the corniest song in Swift’s catalog — a catalog that includes “Welcome to New York!” But she is giving it her all tonight, with 10 dancers serving up big “Chicago” energy — M.W.

11:38 p.m. We’re well past the three-hour mark as Swift starts up “Mastermind.” — M.W.

11:41 p.m. “I will never forget this,” Swift says as her band revs up “Karma.” — M.W.

11:45 p.m. And that’s a wrap, on a genuinely epic night of music. Now, to try to get out of this stadium... Thanks for reading! — M.W.

Those speculative listings are not real tickets in hand. Beware of these sellers. Learn more about speculative tickets here .

What are the health check requirements?

Taylor Swift announces 17 more dates for The Eras Tour: See where she'll play her first live concerts since 2018

taylor swift tour start time

Taylor Swift fans knew all too well that their idol would soon announce a tour to complement “Midnights,” her record-setting 10th release that has commandeered radio and record charts worldwide.

Swift will kick off The Eras Tour March 17 in Glendale, Arizona at State Farm Stadium. The run includes other stadium stops in Las Vegas, Arlington, Texas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles, Tampa, Nashville, Philadelphia, Seattle and East Rutherford, New Jersey, among other cities.

Since announcing her tour earlier this month, Swift added 17 more dates to keep up with the overwhelming demand . She'll now play multiple nights in Glendale, Arizona, Houston, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Detroit and L.A., as well as other cities already announced for the tour.

Opening acts include Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers and Haim.

Tickets for all dates will go on sale at 10 a.m. (local time), Nov. 18. A presale for Capital One cardholders runs Nov. 15-17.

Desperate to get your hands on Taylor Swift tickets? These tips will help

How can you get Taylor Swift tickets?

Swift is participating in Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program, which allows fans to register for a presale until 11:59 p.m. ET Nov. 9.Tickets will be priced from $49-$449, with VIP packages ranging from $199 to $899.

This will mark Swift’s first live outing since 2018’s “Reputation” stadium tour that bounced her around the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia and Japan.

Since that 53-date run, Swift has released three albums in addition to “Midnights”: the synth-pop heavy “Lover” as well as her duo of folk-centric releases heavy on storytelling, “Folklore” and “Evermore.”

Taylor Swift returns to pop with poetic 'Midnights,' her most deeply personal album yet

Any tour plans Swift might have pondered to support “Lover,” which bowed in August 2019, were scuttled by the pandemic, which means she has four albums that she’s never performed live.

The 13-track “Midnights” (plus seven additional songs on the “3 a.m. Edition” of the album) set numerous records for Swift its first week of release.

The album zipped to No. 1 on Billboard’s 200 album chart with the biggest sales week for any album in nearly seven years with 1.57 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. according to Luminate, the data company that services Billboard.

Swift makes more Billboard chart history

Along with earning the distinction of top-selling album of the year , “Midnights” landed the largest sales week for an album since, well, Swift's "Reputation" in 2017.

Taylor Swift feeds fan frenzy by releasing seven additional songs from 'Midnights'

On Oct. 31, Swift scaled more chart history as she became the first artist in history to claim the top 10 slots on the Billboard Hot 100 (keeping in mind that record companies used to stagger singles releases).

The singer was gobsmacked by the accomplishment, which she expressed on social media.

“Anti-Hero,” her pop swirl of internal scrutiny, claims the No. 1 spot , with “Lavender Haze,” “Snow on the Beach” (with Lana Del Rey), “Question…?” and “Bejeweled” among the others lining the Top 10.

Taylor Swift Taps Paramore for European Eras Tour Run

Taylor Swift knows we need more — so she’s giving us just that. The singer has added 14 more shows to the European/U.K. leg of her Eras Tour , and announced that Paramore will provide support throughout the trek.

“Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour,” Swift wrote on Twitter Wednesday, July 5. “And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore !! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???”

Last month, Swift added dozens of shows to her Taylor Swift: The Eras stadium tour — bringing the total count of shows to a whooping 104 nights . She also extended her run at Los Angeles’ So-Fi Stadium with a sixth show scheduled for Aug. 7.

The new addition comes after the singer announced shows in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Europe earlier this week. (See below for the full tour dates.)

“EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋‍♀️,” she wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!”

She also added more dates to her already-announced Latin America tour. After wrapping her U.S. dates in Los Angeles on Aug. 9, Swift will head to Mexico City for four straight shows at Foro Sol starting Aug. 24. She’ll then stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil in November.

Swift first announced the tour last October after she completely took over the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with Midnights . The added dates, which follow the addition of eight new shows last week, were slotted in “due to unprecedented demand,” according to the singer’s camp.

“Good Morning America, it’s Taylor,” Swift said during the announcement. “I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time and I’ve been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I’m going back on tour. The tour is called the ‘Eras’ tour, and it’s a journey through all of my musical eras of my career.”

The tour began on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona and extends through Aug. 9, where the singer will wrap with a fifth night at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Swift still has stops left in Detroit, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Seattle, and Santa Clara.

How St. Vincent Unlocked Her Realest Album Yet

Mickey guyton will hit the road this year for cmt on tour, is taylor swift teasing 'tortured poets department' additions to the eras tour.

Across the tour, Swift is being supported in select cities by a combination of special guests including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.

The Eras tour follows the cancelation of her planned 2020 Lover Fest tour, which was originally going to see her make stadium stops in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York, along with Brazil, Denmark, Norway, and Poland. “This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future,” she wrote in 2021.

Swift last went the road in 2018 for her massive Reputation Stadium Tour , which saw Swift accompanied by the likes of Charli XCX and Camila Cabello across the United States, the United Kingdom, along with Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. The tour was the highest-grossing music tour by a female artist that year.

Since her last tour, Swift has released four albums and two re-releases: Lover , Folklore , Evermore , Midnights , and Taylor’s Version editions of Fearless and Red with additional songs. In total, she’s dropped 90 tracks of new material, not including collaborations with the likes of Haim and Big Red Machine.

Fans have long wondered what music she’ll be performing on the road, with some theorizing that she’d host a residency in Las Vegas or a music festival where she’d perform different “eras” on different nights.

Along with packing her setlist with songs from Reputation in 2018, she surprised each city with an acoustic rendition of fan favorites like “Red,” “Holy Ground,” and “Wildest Dreams.” At select shows, she also brought out special guests. Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez, Hayley Kiyoko, and Maren Morris were among the artists to be brought out by Swift.

The stadium tour was accompanied by a concert film released on New Year’s Eve that year.

She previously took her 1989 album on the road for 85 dates, where she was accompanied by the likes of Mendes, James Bay, Vance Joy, and Haim. Before then was The Red Tour in 2013 and 2014, and her Speak Now World Tour from 2011 to 2012.

Taylor Swift in Nashville: Everything you need to know ahead of 'Eras' tour takeover

taylor swift tour start time

This weekend, Taylor Swift throws the biggest party of the season — errr, the year? — in downtown Nashville.

The unmatched pop star brings her wildly-anticipated "Eras" tour to Nissan Stadium for three nights of career-spanning songs and world-class spectacle. The tour stop kicks off Friday inside Music City's largest seated venue, with follow-up shows scheduled for Saturday and Sunday evening.

Headed to the concert? Hoping to snag last-minute tickets? Or just riding the wave of Swift-themed shenanigans in downtown? From parking to parties, we've got you covered with a guide to all things "Eras" in Music City.

Her first 'Era': Revisiting the Taylor Swift album that launched her into superstardom

What times does Taylor Swift's concert start?

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. each day, with the show starting at 6:30 p.m. Nissan Stadium officials say parking lots near the stadium will open at noon each day.

Where to see Taylor Swift's Nashville

This weekend's Swift-a-palooza expands beyond the gates of Nissan Stadium. Turn a one-night concert experience into a weekend of festivities with these Swiftie events happening throughout Nashville.

  • Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum: This week, the downtown institution launched a pop-up exhibit of career-spanning Swift attire — including outfits from all 10 "eras" of her studio albums. Pieces include the cardigan featured in her 2020 "Cardigan" music video and the bedazzled circus costume worn during an MTV performance of 2012 hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." The exhibit runs through May 31.
  • The Lavender Haze Ball: A fan-curated upscale event hosted Thursday evening at Centennial Park (the same park name-checked in 2020 Swift song "Invisible String"). The night includes a "Getaway" bar (named after Swift's 2013 song "Getaway Car") and themed bites.
  • Bluebird Café: The songwriting lounge known in Swift lore for helping launch her career opens doors this weekend for all who want to see the famed stage. Free to the public, the open house runs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
  • The Taylor Swift Video Brunch: Five Points Diner hosts a Saturday brunch featuring a playlist of Swift music videos and $30 bottomless mimosas.
  • Now That's What I Call A Taylor Pre-Party: Downtown spot Acme Feed & Seed hosts a pre-show gathering with Swift-themed drinks and a playlist of the singer's biggest hits. Festivities kick off at 3 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

Additional downtown parking options include ...

  • MTA Parking at 400 Charlotte Avenue (near Woodland St.)
  • Metro Courthouse/Public Square Garage at 101 James Robertson Pkwy (near Woodland St.)
  • 222 Garage at 222 2nd Avenue (near the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge)

Last-minute Taylor Swift in Nashville tickets

In case you forgot: Demand for tickets to the "Eras" tour reached a point last year where Ticketmaster literally canceled the on-sale, in-part causing lawmakers to launch an investigation into the ticketing firm. Swift sold out her three nights in Nashville — as well as every other night of the expansive stadium tour.

A special concert: Taylor Swift concert will be the first ever for this 14-year-old girl with a rare disease

Still, some steep-priced tickets can be found on second-hard markets. At publication time, a "cheap" seat to Friday night's "Eras" show started at $808 before fees on StubHub . A Saturday ticket started at $931, while a Sunday ticket cost $950 before fees. Tickets start at a similar prices on second-hand competitor Vivid Seats .

The silver lining: At previous tour stops in Houston and Atlanta , ticket prices dropped in the hours leading up the show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift in Nashville?

As with past Swift tours, a lineup of ace talent opens for the pop superstar. The Nashville lineup includes:

  • Friday and Sunday: "Kyoto" singer-songwriter and boygenius member Phoebe Bridgers plays main support; Interscope Records upstart Gracie Abrams opens the shows.
  • Saturday: Phoebe Bridgers plays main support and Nashville's own "abcdefu" hitmaker Gayle opens the show .

Taylor Swift's setlist

It's called the "Eras" tour for a reason, right? Without spoiling each of the anticipated 44 (!!!) songs, fans can expect a time-traveling show that covers nearly two decades of music in three hours. And as with past Swift tours, she reserves a slot late in the show for a few surprise songs. Given her return to the city that helped launched her career, it wouldn't be out of question to hear Swift pay tribute to her Nashville days during the surprise segment.

Dress for the 'Eras'

For many faithful followers, the "Eras" tour offers a chance to celebrate Swift iconology. Fans often flock to the shows in costumes specific to Swift eras — cardigans for "Folklore," head-to-toe black for "Reputation," red lipstick for "Red," bedazzled neon colors for "Lover," curly hair and cowboy boots for "Speak Now" ... and the list goes on.

The alternative pop artist from Oslo, born Marie Ulven - is continuing her path to world domination, kicking off 2022 with a  Best New Alternative Artist nomination for the iHeart Radio Music Awards.

It’s a well-deserved nod, considering she was the most played female artist on Alt Radio with “Serotonin”. She also had monster sets at Oya, Glastonbury and a sold out headline show at NYC’s famed Pier 17. A passionate live performer she will continue to tour, up next is a UK & EU headline run in 2023, including a sold out show at O2 Academy Brixton.

Ulven released her critically acclaimed debut album  if i could make it go quiet  in 2021, to world-wide critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. Celebrity supporters included Taylor Swift and Camilla Cabello and more. Press response was astoundingly positive, with many outlets proclaiming it  “Best of 2021”  including but not limited to Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, NPR, Stereogum, NYLON  and more.

In 2021, she also performed on  The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon  and  Late Night With Seth Meyers , as well as TV performances worldwide including but not limited to  Skavlan ,  Late Night Berlin  and  MTV’s EMA s.

About Gracie Abrams

Since making her debut with “Mean It” in October 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation. She is a consummate songwriter who names iconic figures like Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift as her most formative influences. Executive-produced by Blake Slatkin — and also made with leading producers like Joel Little and benny blanco- her debut project minor features her beloved singles, “21,” and “I miss you, I’m sorry”.

In November 2021, Abrams returned with This Is What It Feels Like, a 12-track project exploring such complex emotional experiences as self-betrayal, insecurity, and failed attempts at connection. Abrams kicked off 2022 with a headline tour of North America followed by a support slot on Olivia Rodrigo’s tour. She reconnected with The National’s Aaron Dessner to release two songs this year – “Block me out” and “Difficult” – and continues to work on her debut album.

About OWENN

This Summer, OWENN, the talented multi-hyphenate, brought his enigmatic spirit and smokey sense of soul to the forefront as he formally introduced himself on his debut tour, highlighted by a Main Stage East show at Lollapalooza Paris; OWENN carried the momentum from Europe having just recently opened for Lil Nas X on the two sold out New York, Radio City Music Hall shows – Long Live Montero Tour.

OWENN has attracted attention contributing dance moves on stages worldwide with A-list artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Normani and others. Including, most recently working with Lil Nas X to choreograph his tv performances for MTV VMAs and live show appearances on the iHeart Jingle Ball Tour.  OWENN became a staple of Taylor Swift’s show on her 1989 Tour  and  Reputation Tour .  In 2019, he starred alongside Taylor in her video for “ Lover ,” as well as Normani in her video for “ Motivation ”.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concerts May Last Longer Than You Think

The Red Tour, 1989 World Tour, and Reputation Stadium Tour clue us into the Eras Tour’s runtime.

How Long Are Taylor Swift Concerts? Eras Tour Shows Last This Many Hours

Theoretically, Taylor Swift could perform for more than six hours on the Eras Tour and still not have time for many of the songs fans want to hear . Most Swifties would happily spend all night with her, but she does have other shows to perform and cities to get to, naturally leading fans to wonder how long will Eras Tour concerts actually be. Despite the name of her newest album Midnights , don’t expect Swift to perform until midnight — but the Eras Tour may be her longest show to date.

If Swift’s past tours are any indication, expect the Eras Tour concerts to be at least two hours long, which is about how much time the Red Tour, 1989 World Tour, and Reputation Stadium Tour shows lasted. On those treks, Swift usually hit the stage between 8:45 and 9:00 p.m., ensuring that the show would finish by 11:00 p.m.. With a 6:30 p.m. start time listed for all dates, and two opening acts at each show, it’s safe to expect a similar timeframe for the Eras Tour.

READ NEXT: The Eras Tour Setlist Is Finally Here

However, if this schedule obtained by an opening night attendee and posted by Twitter fan accounts is correct, Swift is actually adding a whole hour to her usual runtime. This means the Eras Tour will be over three hours long.

Swift does have a lot of ground to cover on this tour. She described the Eras Tour as “a journey through the musical eras of my career,” both past and present, meaning her setlist will include songs from all 10 of her albums. Making matters more complicated, Swift hasn’t toured her four newest albums: 2019’s Lover , 2020’s folklore and evermore , and 2022’s Midnights . Combined with her “From the Vault” tracks on the “Taylor’s Version” re-recordings of Fearless and Red , Swift has more than 100 new songs that she’s yet to perform live at all. There’s no way she can please everyone and play all of them, but a three-hour runtime would go a long way.

View on Instagram

Of course, if Swift brings out any surprise guests to perform that show will probably run a little longer. On the contrary, however, Swift has previously omitted certain songs from setlists prior to make room for said guests, especially on the Red and 1989 tours, so that’s not a guarantee.

All the proof Taylor Swift is making first major change to Eras Tour

Welcome to "The Tortured Poets Department" (Eras Tour Version).

taylor swift tour start time

It looks like Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour is getting a brand new era, straight from the Tortured Poets Department .

Since the announcement of her new 11th studio album ( which dropped April 19 ), fans have been anxiously waiting to see if her worldwide, career-spanning tour would get a shakeup to accommodate the new music. While Swift is remaining mum, and a rep for the singer didn't respond to an EW request for comment, a new YouTube Short posted to Swift's account seems to provide all the clarity Swifties needed that a change is imminent.

In the video, which is part of Swift's #ForAFortnightChallenge tied to the album's first single, "Fortnight," the 14-time Grammy winner can be seen rehearsing for tour with her backup dancers. While some shots are obviously from the Folklore , Lover , and other existing "eras" of the show, several blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments have never been seen before.

In one, Swift, clad in workout gear, appears to be wearing the same boots seen in her "Fortnight" video . She's holding on to a banister that looks like it has the Tortured Poets Department emblem on it — the "P" and the "D" can just be made out.

taylor swift/youtube

Although the video is in grayscale, and therefore exact colors are impossible to identify for sure, several shots feature what looks like a new white-ish mic, which has never been seen before. The new era's color, of course, is also an off-white hue.

Perhaps the most interesting moment of the new clip, though, is one that features what looks like new choreography and costumes. Swift's backup dancers can be seen in top hats and dancing with canes, while she sings in the front middle of the group — choreography and props which have so far not been featured in the concert.

This is all speculative until the tour resumes in Paris, France, on May 9, of course, but if Swift is adding a whole new era, it would mark the first major change to the setlist since Swift began performing it last March.

Throughout the tour, she's made little swaps here or there: She added performances with some of the artists who opened for her like HAIM or Phoebe Bridgers, and she added "Long Live" to the Speak Now section when that re-recorded album released during tour. She also swapped out "Invisible String" for the "The 1" in the Folklore section after news of her split with Joe Alwyn broke.

But, nothing has majorly been added or subtracted from the show, which is already a whopping three-and-a-half hours long. Now, if anyone could pull off adding more runtime to Eras, it's the "Mastermind" herself, but it's more likely that some songs will be getting cut to make room for new material. Fans have theorized that the tracks that didn't make it into the VOD rental of the Eras Tour concert film — "The Archer," "Wildest Dreams," "Cardigan," and "Long Live" — could be first on the chopping block, but we'll just have to wait and see what Ms. Swift has up her cryptic and Machiavellian sleeve.

A fter spending some quality one-on-one time with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift is reportedly "sad" to be returning to her history-making "Eras Tour."

According to sources who spoke exclusively to US Weekly , the famous couple have "deepened their bond" as a result of "all the time they've spent together recently."

“It makes the prospect of her tour more challenging," the source told the publication. "She’ll be sad."

Swift will be in Paris, France on May, 9, 2024, to kick off one of four shows in the "city of love" as she begins the European leg of the "Eras Tour." The hit band Paramore will join the pop star on stage, according to Swift's website .

The same source says that while Swift will be "sad" to start touring and spending time away from Kelce, the pair understands that they have professional obligations.

“They support and respect (each other),” the source told the publication. “They have busy careers, so they understand those commitments, as difficult as it is.”

In the wake of the release of Swift's eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department —a surprise double feature with an additional 15 songs —the pair reportedly celebrated her incredible accomplishment with some much-deserved one-on-one time before hanging out with another famous couple.

The source told US Weekly the pair took "a trip up the California cost" to "celebrate privately," adding that "they're making the most of the time they have together."

Swift and Kelce were spotted with Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid during their California getaway at Carmel-by-the-Sea, which comes as no surprise to those who know Swift—Hadid and Swift are long-time BFFs.

Kelce reportedly sent a picture of the foursome to his beloved mom, Donna Kelce, who shared the photo at QVC's Age of Possibility Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cooper was also in attendance, and when he arrived Donna reportedly greeted him by saying: "Travis told me you were going to be here."

According to a recent report by Page Six , Swift is very much in love with Travis but is "getting nervous about things going wrong—or that he’ll wind up thinking the fame is too much."

"She wants a happy ending with Travis," the source told the publication. "She is worried about jinxing things" and that "something will mess things up."

While Swift's fears are certainly valid given the constant and overwhelming media scrutiny she faces day in and day out, in a recent interview with Extra Kelce said he is pretty much unfazed by the never-ending spotlight on his relationship.

“I think it was all the home videos my mom used to have with the old camcorder, the handheld joint, at the house. I just always felt comfortable with the camera on me and the lights on me," Kelce said.

"I love a good challenge. I get excited for a challenge. Something that I haven't done before is something that really makes me focus," he continued. "And there's something about that that I got a love for."

The Eras Tour  Movie Is Irresistible No Matter How Much You Think You Like Taylor Swift

S ince humankind has been walking upright, and maybe even when we still had fins for arms, we’ve been attracted to shiny, shimmering things. In concert, Taylor Swift is exactly that. Tickets for the Eras Tour, Swift’s first concert tour in five years—set to conclude in November 2024—were costly and difficult to get from the start, which meant you had to either be very, very lucky or fall within a certain income bracket to see the show. But the spirit of the Eras tour is now available to almost everyone in the form of a concert film , one that is perhaps unsurprisingly exuberant and delightful. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is 2 hours and 48 minutes of an irresistibly shiny, shimmering Taylor Swift. She’s the lure skimming through the water; we’re the gawping trout, dazzled to the point of transcendence. All that for less than 20 bucks.

We are trout, it seems, of many different shapes, sizes, ages and orientations (even if, statistically, three quarters of us are white). I saw the film in one of the smaller multiplex auditoriums in Times Square’s Regal Theater on what was originally supposed to have been its opening night, though in one of Swift’s trademark last-minute moves, she’d decided to launch the film a day early. (Swift, who self-produced the film, is distributing it in partnership with the AMC theater chain, though other chains are showing the film as well.) My low-key but enthusiastic audience was about one-third teenagers and young women, one-third little girls in sparkly attire (accompanied by their parents), and one-third gay men. A whole troop of the latter marched in at one point, one of them calling out, “Hey, Swifties!” as he passed a cluster of Brownie-scout-aged fans. The same guy came over to me a little later and asked if I wanted a friendship bracelet—I hadn’t realized I was supposed to bring a supply of them to trade and give away. He handed me an elastic circlet strung with turquoise and smoke-gray plastic beads, apologizing for its tiny circumference—one of the little Swifties had given it to him—though it fit me just fine. “Now you can be part of the experience,” he told me.

I’m sure there are plenty of people who could resist that experience, but it turns out that I—a moderate Swift fan who, even so, can go for months at a time without thinking about her at all—am not one of them. The Eras Tour is a cleverly if somewhat haphazardly stitched-together approximation of an Eras Tour live show. (The director is Sam Wrench, and the footage was captured at the end of the tour’s first leg, at SoFi Stadium outside Los Angeles.) Some of the cutting may be reckless; there’s the occasional WTF? camera angle. But Swift’s command of her audience—and of the moment—is so complete that she instantaneously airbrushes every questionable filmmaking decision into oblivion. The Eras Tour is so named because it hopscotches through Swift’s nearly 20-year career . You could make a gaudy, jumbled show from that wealth of material, or a grand one, and Swift and her team have done the latter. Every number is like a room in a sprawling mansion, executed in just the right tone and color—like Mad King Ludwig’s castle, only conceived by designers, and one performer, who are only slightly mad and otherwise intensely practical.

And so, when Swift takes the stage for the show’s first round of numbers—among them “Cruel Summer,” evoking a dangerous seasonal romance of ice and heat—she does so in a spangly pale lavender tank suit with over-the-knee high-heeled Louboutin boots to match, their soles as red as a cartoon devil. It's a highly impractical outfit, but on Swift it looks normal, even low-key. When she segues into the Fearless era, she steps out in mini dress of golden fringe, once again with boots to match, only these are a bit more grounded—Swift, wisely, knows how important it is to switch between heels and flats. For “Ready for It…” and “Delicate,” off Reputation , she slinks out in a one-legged black catsuit, iridescent snakes slinking around her limbs. The sets are elaborate, at times veering close to magical. For “Willow” and “Marjorie,” off the smoky-forest LP Evermore , Swift appears to emerge from a projected backdrop of spooky-elegant trees, wearing a velvety black hooded cape over a flame-orange dress. Her dancers, also clad in dark cloaks, close in protectively around her, bearing mystically glowing orange orbs. Swift can be anyone she wants to be: a heroine from the cover of a gothic-romance paperback, sensibly fleeing a foreboding castle; a drum majorette sans baton, but with a mic instead, and plenty to say.

Victim, survivor, temptress, storyteller-by-the-fire: Swift gives herself permission to be the woman she wants to be at any given moment, which may be why so many little girls are magnetically drawn to her before they have any real sense of what womanhood is. Well, that and the sequins. There’s no easy way to break down Swift’s appeal. The veteran rock critic Ann Powers has made a convincing case for her similarities to Bob Dylan, in the sense of building her own shape-shifting world. (“In a patriarchal society that favors white men, how can a young woman who looks like a supermodel dare to think she could be historical? And yet she does,” Powers has said.) Swift has captivated some unlikely people. Paul Schrader, the screenwriter of Taxi Driver and the director of such twisted delights as The Comfort of Strangers, adores her. He spent his 72nd birthday, in 2018, at a Swift show. “About Taylor Swift, let there be no doubt,” he wrote on Facebook, “she is the light that gives meaning to each to all our lives, the godhead who makes existence possible and without whom we would wander forever in bleak unimaginable darkness.”

Hyperbole aside, the Eras Tour movie shows, to stark effect, Swift’s power over an arena full of people. When she gazes out at the audience, which she often does (thanking them repeatedly for their generosity, which, admittedly, is also the very thing lining her silken pockets), she’s like the Romper Room lady with her magic mirror—is it possible she knows each and every one of our names? With her kitty-cat smile and her Cleopatra eyeliner, she’s flirtatious, erotically suggestive, but non-threateningly so. Even at 33, there’s something girlish about her, a characterization that some women might consider an insult, though it’s really a gift, suggesting not innocence or helplessness but a capacity for delight. It’s the kind of thing you want to hang onto until you’re 100 or beyond.

Watching Swift in her Eras Tour movie made me wonder what kind of a performer she’ll be at 50, 60, 70. It seems there are still many unexplored rooms in her mansion. Let’s not forget, though, that she’s also one of the most ambitious musical performers of her generation—ambitious in the way only men (the Beatles, Elvis, Little Richard) used to be. It’s estimated that the Eras Tour has already generated some $4.6 billion in consumer spending, and the beyond-robust ticket sales for the Eras Tour movie mean that the doubloons in Swift’s bank account are multiplying exponentially with every passing minute. She’s already one of the richest women in the world. Is there a distinction between shrewdness and outright greed?

Swift will make a ton of money off The Eras Tour movie, off those little girls trading bracelets, off those now-middle-aged ladies who have grown up with her, off those gay men—and some straight ones—who adore her balls-out showmanship. At a runtime of nearly three hours, The Eras Tour is enough Taylor Swift in one sitting for just about anyone, with the possible exception of Paul Schrader. Yet by the end of this rather long sojourn, Swift looks as if she’s just getting started. Her hair may have frizzed slightly, but that’s about it. No matter how much money she stands to make off this enterprise, there’s no sense that she’s kept the meter running. She’d give even more, if we wanted it.

The era of women having the means to make enough money to take care of themselves—and, in Swift’s case, much more than enough—is relatively recent. Just ask Edith Wharton’s Lily Bart. My Eras Tour ticket cost less than $20, and I begrudge not a cent of it. Swift doesn’t need more money, but I had much more than $20 worth of fun. And got a bracelet to boot.

Taylor Swift in Sydney: Eras Tour tickets, times, set list & everything you need to know

Your ultimate guide to Taylor Swift shows in Sydney

Taylor Swift is in Sydney. She arrived during Monday's huge thunder storm that caused havoc around Sydney – and ever since, she's been causing a Taylor storm, stepping out at restaurants and the zoo – and yesterday, just a day before her first Sydney show, she's released MORE additional tickets .

It looks like those of us who have tickets are in for a real treat when she hits the stage at  Accor Stadium  in  Sydney Olympic Park  for four nights this week, from Friday, February 23 to Monday, February 26.  Time Out Melbourne Editor Leah Glynn was at one of her Melbourne shows, and says, "Believe the hype, folks. Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is everything you are hoping it to be: magical, emotional, spectacular, transformative. It's three-and-a-half hours of pure musical joy, best enjoyed with 96,000 of your closest friends (the stadium atmosphere at the MCG was unlike anything I've ever experienced before). I laughed, I cried, I sang and danced my little heart out – and I'd do it all again if anyone has a spare ticket. All hail, Queen Taylor."

If you were lucky enough to nab a ticket, here's everything you need to know about her Sydney shows...

When is Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Sydney?

Tay Tay will take to the stage at Accor Stadium (after hitting Melbourne up for three shows) for her first Sydney Eras Tour concert on Friday, February 23. She will also perform on Saturday 24, Sunday 25 and Monday 26 before heading to Singapore to sing her heart out for a whole SIX shows. ( Here’s where Taylor Swift is staying in Sydney and all the places she could be eating at .)

What time will Taylor Swift come on stage?

All gates to Accor Stadium will open at 4.30pm... for those people who are reaaaaally keen to get in early to secure some merch . However, every single seat at the Sydney nights of the Eras Tour is assigned, which means there’s no point rocking up super early to get a spot in the (non-existent) mosh pit.

The music will kick off at 6.20pm, with pop princess Sabrina Carpenter as the opening act. We can’t be 100 per cent sure exactly what time Taylor will come on stage, but all signs point to around 7.30pm or 8pm at the latest.

What can I bring to Taylor Swift Sydney?

There are specific rules for what you can and can’t bring to Taylors Eras Tour in Sydney. Here are the main things to remember:

You can bring:

  • One bag with a maximum of two compartments, smaller than A4 size. It doesn’t need to be clear, in case you were wondering.
  • Friendship bracelets (of course), but you're meant to wear them on your arms!
  • A rain poncho
  • A portable charger smaller than the size of your phone
  • Sunscreen, but not the aerosol kind
  • A sealed, clear, soft plastic water bottle no larger than 600ml

You can’t bring:

  • Outside food
  • D-rings or carabiners for friendship bracelets
  • Signs bigger than 28 x 45cm
  • Studded jewellery (sorry Rep girlies)
  • Metal or hard plastic containers

Are there any Taylor Swift Sydney tickets left?

This won’t come as a shock to anyone, but demand for Taylor Swift tickets has been through the roof (and into the stratosphere, at this point). A  limited number of new Taylor Swift tickets  went on sale at 4pm on Thursday. Aside from the new tickets, resale through Ticketek Marketplace is your best bet – be wary of scams on other platforms!

What’s the full setlist for the Eras Tour?

The Eras Tour has a setlist like no other, spanning a staggering three hours (and 44 songs). Since the tour has already been travelling around the world, we mostly know what to expect, save for some nightly ‘surprise songs’. Here’s the Eras Tour setlist for Australia:

Who will be supporting Taylor Swift in Sydney?

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter ( who Taylor dined with at Pellegrino 2000 ) will be supporting Taylor on the Aussie leg of the Eras Tour. She's best known for hit songs 'Nonsense', 'Feather' and 'On My Way'. On Tuesday, February 13, a new batch of tickets dropped for the Sydney shows – as expected, they were snapped up quickly and sold out within hours. The tickets on sale were for seats with partially obscured views.

Here's the Accor Stadium seating map for Taylor Swift's Sydney shows.

Taylor Swift stares into the camera from the stage.

There’s no time like the present, Swifties.

On April 19, Taylor Swift dropped her 11th studio album “The Tortured Poet’s Department.” As expected, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter became the internet’s main character.

Some raved about the sprawling, ambitious double album; others criticized the record for its length, subject matter and lyrics.

All we know is that in the seven days that have passed, ticket prices to see Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ live have plummeted for most of her concerts in Europe.

Based on our findings, most shows have seats available that are significantly cheaper than they cost just a week ago.

In fact, some tickets are over $1,000 less than they were on April 19 already.

While it’s not the case for her U.S. and Canada gigs — where prices have mostly stayed flat or slowly risen — we’d argue it might be in your best interest to book tickets to an overseas ‘Eras Tour’ concert given this cooldown.

Want to find out how much tickets cost for ‘Eras Tour’ concerts versus what they were going for on April 19?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Taylor Swift’s 2024 tour below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

A complete calendar including all upcoming tour dates, venues, and the best ticket prices for all concerts versus what they cost on April 19 can be found here.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Taylor Swift set list

While Swift is known for dropping a surprise song or two into her shows, the tracks stay surprisingly consistent for most gigs (although that will likely change in the wake of “TTPD’s” release).

Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ news

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely over the past year.

Over the past few months, we spoke to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live and  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift new music

As noted above, Swift’s  “The Tortured Poets Department”  was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, we particularly enjoyed the sleek, synth-y “Fortnight,” icy “So Long, London,” anthemic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” bombastic slow build of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and gorgeously arranged “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”

If you want to give it a spin — if you haven’t already, that is — you can find “The Tortured Poets Department”  here .

Taylor Swift opening acts

Taylor only has two opening acts lined up for the ‘Eras Tour’ this year.

Here’s what you need to know about her well-established special guests.

Paramore  will play alongside Swift after mounting a massive 2023 tour of their own. The group, fronted by lead singer Hayley Williams, reunited in 2022 after a five-year hiatus. For fans that want to check out their latest, you can listen to “This Is Why,” their sixth studio album, which dropped in February 2023.

Gracie Abrams , the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, is a star in her own right. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” has upwards of 100 million streams on Spotify, she opened for Olivia Rodrigo on the 2022 “Sour Tour” and headlined her own tour last spring as well.

Huge stars on tour in 2024

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (sometimes more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

•  Olivia Rodrigo

•  Kacey Musgraves

•  Pink

•  Chappell Roan

•  Alanis Morissette

Who else is on the road this year? Check out our list of the  50 biggest concert tours in 2024  to find out.

Taylor Swift hints at Eras Tour setlist changes after ‘TTPD’ album release

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Fans theorize that Taylor Swift is changing her Eras Tour setlist to include songs from her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Swift shared a black-and-white video collage of her practicing for the upcoming leg of her tour and added her new single, “Fortnight,” in the background to YouTube Shorts on Thursday.

The Grammy winner, 34, included several snippets of her wearing different athleisure outfits while holding a microphone, singing and dancing on different parts of the stage.

The “Cruel Summer” songstress even featured a snap of her playing her acoustic guitar and sitting at her signature mossy piano.

However, some eagle-eyed fans noticed a few differences in some of the clips from what she’s done in her past shows –– such as her background dancers wearing black top hats and canes.

Swift also appeared to be leaning on a silver pole that seemed to have a white “TTPD” sign hanging on the side of it. Fans additionally pointed out her white guitar and matching microphone.

Several fans flooded the comments pointing out the changes and wrote about how convinced they are she’ll be swapping some songs for “TTPD” hits.

Swift has not released the setlist for her upcoming shows and she did not share the setlist before she kicked off the tour in Arizona in March 2023.

The “Shake it Off” songstress previously sang 44 songs on every show and swapped out two songs each concert that were acoustic “surprise songs” not included in the same setlist.

After Paris, Swift will hit several European countries, including Sweden, Spain and Portugal, before wrapping up in London in August.

Taylor Swift shares big video hint the ‘Eras Tour' may be changing

“taylor swift, you have some explaining to do” wrote one fan., by amy eley | today • published april 25, 2024 • updated on april 25, 2024 at 9:10 pm.

Taylor Swift is taking fans behind the scenes of her “Eras Tour” with a series of clips, and Swifties now suspect there’s a hint as to changes coming to the world-renowned show.

Days after releasing her newest album,  “The Tortured Poets Department,”  Swift posted another YouTube Short video with her hit single “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone,” playing over videos of her and her dancers rehearsing for the tour. But there’s one moment in the montage that has fans doing what they do best: speculating.

Fans will recognize many of the scenes being practiced, such as Swift's iconic entrance from the ground, her performance of "Lavender Haze" in a coat surrounded by clouds, playing "Champagne Problems" seated at a moss-covered piano and more. But one clip, in which Swift stands in the middle of a stage with her dancers lined up behind her wearing top hats and holding canes, did not appear in the original "Eras Tour."

“Since when do background dancers have a top hat and canes?!” one fan with the username armaisacat.1989  captioned a TikTok  of the scene, adding “Taylor Swift you have some explaining to do!!”

The “Eras Tour” is a three-hour, 15-minute concert in which Swift performs songs from all of her albums since her 2006 self-titled debut record. Many — including the TODAY.com staff — have speculated whether or not the pop star would integrate “Tortured Poets Department” as another era in the show.

All will be (hopefully) be revealed when the tour begins again in Paris on May 9.

When does 'The Tortured Poets Department' release? All about Taylor Swift's new album

taylor swift tour start time

Just one week after the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse , people around the world are once again counting down the minutes to another highly-anticipated date: April 19 – the day Taylor Swift releases her 11th original studio album,  "The Tortured Poets Department."

The "Anti-Hero" singer threw her devoted fan base for a loop during the 2024 Grammys , when she announced her plans for the album while accepting the award for best pop vocal album for "Midnights." Leading up to the awards show, many speculated the superstar was teasing the release of the re-recorded version of her sixth album, "Reputation," given her official website was suffering a calculated glitch.

So what exactly does Swift's "Tortured Poets" era entail? And when does the album come out? Here's everything to know.

When does Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' album come out?

"The Tortured Poets Department" will release on vinyl, cassette, CD and digital album Friday, April 19 . It will also be available to stream on Apple Music and Spotify at midnight on Friday.

Pre-orders and  pre-saves are available now  on Swift's website .

Swift's website also has a timer counting down to 2 p.m. ET Thursday. It's unclear what is in the plans for that time.

What is 'The Tortured Poets Department' about?

In the weeks since the album announcement, Swift has captivated fans with small teasers alluding to its contents. During the Melbourne, Australia, stop of her Eras Tour , she revealed, "Tortured Poets is an album − I think more than any of my albums that I’ve ever made − I needed to make it. It was really a lifeline for me."

Some fans have theorized the album centers around Swift's ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. The pair dated for six years before breaking up last year.

In support of their theory, fans dug up a video the English actor did withVariety in December 2022, alongside Paul Mescal, during which they said they had a WhatsApp group chat called “the Tortured Man Club."

Others have highlighted the album release date, which is exactly one year after Swift’s friends and brother potentially unfollowed Alwyn on Instagram . Swift was  photographed  having dinner with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively that night – who both reportedly unfollowed Alwyn as well.

After Swift shared the track list for the album Feb. 5, fans immediately zeroed in on song No. 5, “So Long, London,” as likely being about Alwyn, who was raised in London, England.

Where to buy 'The Tortured Poets Department'

The physical album will be sold at Barnes & Noble, Walmart and a selection of local record stores . An exclusive, clear vinyl version of the album will be sold at Target.

'The Tortured Poets Department' track list

Just one day after the album announcement, Swift released the track list on Instagram.

The track list is as follows:

  • "Fortnight (feat. Post Malone)."
  • "The Tortured Poets Department."
  • "My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys."
  • "Down Bad."
  • "So Long, London."
  • "But Daddy I Love Him."
  • "Fresh Out the Slammer."
  • "Florida!!! (Florence + the Machine)."
  • "Guilty as Sin?"
  • "Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?"
  • "I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)."
  • "I Can Do it with a Broken Heart."
  • "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived."
  • "The Alchemy."
  • "Clara Bow."
  • Bonus Track: "The Manuscript."

Swift has since announced three more bonus tracks: "The Bolter," "The Albatross" and "The Black Dog."

What does LOML mean?

One track listed on "The Tortured Poets Department" is "LOML," which has led to many people asking what that means.

LOML typically stands for "love of my life."

Is Cincinnati native Aaron Dessner a producer on 'The Tortured Poets Department'?

Cincinnati native Aaron Dessner , founder of the band The National, is a colleague of Swift's, having worked on multiple projects with her that include "Folklore," "Evermore" and "Midnights."

According to  USA TODAY , Dessner is credited with five "Tortured Poets" tracks: "So Long, London," "But Daddy I Love Him," "loml," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" and "Clara Bow."
