Questions have been circulating about whether Connor is the actor's biological son or not. Here’s everything you need to know...

Who is Tom Cruise's son Connor? 

Connor is a 26-year-old actor born in 1995.

He was born in Florida , USA as Connor Anthony Kidman Cruise.

The young actor is best known for his appearances in movies such as Red Dawn 2012 and Seven Pounds 2008.

He has over 35k followers on his Instagram , where he posts regular photos and videos of him fishing.

The actor has also become a food influencer, with an Instagram account dedicated to his latest grills including Wagyu, Chicken and Briskets. 

Was Connor Cruise adopted? 

Yes, Connor was adopted by the Eyes Wide Shut co-stars shortly after his birth in 1995.

Three years before adopting him, the former couple extended their family by adopting a girl named Isabella, who is now 28.

Both siblings stayed out of the spotlight and rarely posted any photos of themselves together with either parent.

It was reported that neither sibling would address their adoptive mother Nicole Kidman as their mom.

Nicole Mary Kidman AC is a 54-year-old Australian actress and producer.

She was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.

The pair met while working on the movie Days of Thunder.

Although Nicole was only 21 at the time, she knew at once that she wanted to be with the Mission Impossible actor. 

Their love story didn't last long and ended in 2001, after Cruise filed for divorce out of nowhere, and Kidman later revealed that he refused to attend counseling or to consider not divorcing.

Soon, reports started to surface that Connor did not want to live with his father Tom Cruise any longer - he wanted to live on his own and not be dominated by anyone. He even asked mom, Nicole Kidman, and her husband, Keith Urban, to let him live with them.

Nicole Kidman reportedly did not support the idea of Connor moving in with her in Nashville, as it would be too disruptive to her marriage and to her children with Keith Urban. However, she did allegedly tell him that avoiding his father would only make him an escapist.

Meanwhile, more reports suggested that Connor was beginning to feel a bit constrained by Tom's strong personality and tendency to set all the rules. There was talk that the adopted son was not allowed to trace his biological parents because Tom allegedly didn't approve of that. He said that doing such things might be detrimental to his future success.

According to Evening Standard , Connor chose not to invite Nicole Kidman to his wedding, since his father, Tom Cruise, forbade him from doing so. The media have severely criticized this decision. Fan's of Nicole's aren't too happy about it, either.

More recently, a photograph of Tom Cruise and Connor looking all cool and casual in London went viral. Huffpost reported that Tom took Connor along with him to show him the aviation skills that he had acquired while filming the  Mission Impossibl e films. Tom had recently learned how to fly a chopper, for the latest film in the M I franchise.

Nicole Kidman, when asked about her son, Connor, and daughter, Bella, replied that when it came to her relationship with her children, she liked to keep it private and also protect it. While Connor was earlier believed to be a rebel, it is widely suggested he does do what his father wants most of the time and rarely questions Tom's decisions. Some think he follows Tom blindly sometimes. This conclusion was reached by some fans and members of the media after he took the bold step of not inviting Nicole Kidman to his wedding.

2 The Controversy

In 2018, when Nicole Kidman won a prestigious award, she thanked her husband, Keith Urban, and her bio children during her speech. However, many noticed that she had refrained from making mention of or praising her adopted children. This raised eyebrows and stirred up a hornet’s nest, suggesting that things were not so good between her and her adopted children.

1 All’s Well

When asked about his relationship with his mother, Nicole Kidman, Connor replied confidently that all was well between them. He said that the relationship between them was pretty “solid”, putting all speculation about them to rest for a while. He added that he loves his mom and does not care what people say about her. He added that, while he likes music a lot, his family takes precedence over everything and the family certainly includes Nicole.

Tom Cruise made a rare public appearance with his son Connor in New York on Saturday, and Cruise's older sister also tagged along for the outing. 

According to Entertainment Tonight's Jackie Willis , Cruise, Connor, and Cruise's sister Lee Mapother were photographed heading to an event at the AMC movie theater in Times Square on Saturday. The event was reportedly to promote Cruise's new film "Mission Impossible — Dead Reckoning."

Connor Antony Cruise is the child of two of the biggest stars in the world right now, yet many fans are getting to know him for the first time. Now 26 years old, Connor tends to shy away from the spotlight in spite of his influential parents. Still, fans can glean a lot from his Instagram feed and sources close to his family over the years.

Connor was born on Jan. 17, 1995, and adopted by Cruise and Kidman when he was one month old. He was the second of their adopted children, following older sister Isabella Jane Cruise in 1992. For the remainder of their marriage, Cruise and Kidman's children lived relatively private lives , and they stayed out of the spotlight as much as possible even when Cruise and Kidman split in 2001.

The custody arrangement between Cruise and Kidman was never very clear to the public, but there were rumors of tension between Kidman and her adopted son. By contrast, Connor and Cruise have often been spotted in public together, apparently happy and sharing some common interests.

Connor has dabbled in acting and has also made a name for himself as a DJ. These days, however, he seems to be keeping to himself, and pursuing his love of fishing all around the Caribbean. Here is a look at what fans know about Connor Cruise.

Cloistered Rumors

A report by The New York Post in 2006 claimed that Connor and Isabella Cruise grew up in their parents' home in Manhattan, while a report by Hollywood Life claims that Connor grew up in Los Angeles, California. HL also reports that Connor was homeschooled and that he "didn't set foot outside his father's mansion until he was 10." This last claim is unsubstantiated.

'Seven Pounds'

Connor's first big step into the public eye came in 2008, when he appeared in the movie Seven Pounds . He was 13 years old at the time of filming, and played a younger version of Will Smith 's character Ben. Connor co-starred with Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson on the movie as well.

Connor's second and only other film role was in Red Dawn in 2012. He played Daryl Jenkins, co-starring with Chris Hemsworth, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki and Isabel Lucas, among others. Since then Connor has been out of the movie industry, though it is not clear if that is by choice.

Relationship With Kidman

According to Hollywood Life, Kidman told reporters in 2007 that she had a "strained" relationship with Connor. This claim does not appear anywhere else, though in 2018 Kidman did explain why she is generally private about her relationship with her two older children. According to Hello! Magazine , she told the Hollywood Foreign Press Association: "I'm very private about all that," hinting that it had to do with her children's choice to practice Scientology like their father.

"I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it's what my purpose is," Kidman said. "They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them. I am an example of that tolerance and that's what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I'm open here."

According to Hollywood Life , Connor has refuted rumors of tension between himself and Kidman, and has said that they are on good terms.

Scientology

As noted above, Connor is a lifelong practitioner of Scientology, having been introduced to the faith by his father at birth. In 2019, sources close to Connor confirmed his church involvement to reporters from PEOPLE , saying: "Connor and Isabella grew up in the church of Scientology, they've been members since they were kids."

The insider said that Connor and Isabella "are completely dedicated scientologists just like Tom," adding: "Connor has been able to remain close with Tom because of Scientology.... Connor lives in Clearwater, [Florida,] which is the church's main hub. He still deejays but he has really become a big fishing guy. He's content with living a quieter life." The source even said that Connor "is in a relationship with a fell Scientologist who also grew up in the religion."

"He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked," they concluded.

Connor and Tom Cruise have made some public appearances together in recent years — attending sporting events and sometimes movie premieres side by side. The insider told PEOPLE that even these sightings are related to Scientology in some ways. They said: "Tom and Connor stepping out together in London was a big deal. It was the same weekend that Scientology does their annual gathering called the International Association of Scientologists (ASI). Tom has attended numerous times in the past, but this appears to be the first time Connor has gone."

Finally, these days most fans get their fill of Connor Cruise on Instagram , where he does most of his interacting with the public. His posts have skewed more and more towards deep-sea fishing in recent years, with occasional commentary on sports, selfies with other celebrities and promotions for DJ appearances. Connor made headlines last month with a photo of himself holding a 200-pound yellowfin on deck.

They wed in 2019, but there is not much else known about her or their low-key marriage. When Connor does emerge into the spotlight, it’s with his dad.

Connor, and his older sister, Isabella, 30, remained with Tom after his divorce from Kidman in 2001. Never too old for a ball game with dad! Tom Cruise’s son Connor joined the Mission Impossible star for a rare family outing together in California, where the pair watched the Los Angeles Dodgers face off against the San Francisco Giants.

At one point during the game, which took place on Saturday, October 9, Cruise was spotted on the Jumbotron—and he wasn’t alone! The 59-year-old  Top Gun  actor was seated next to his son, 26-year-old Connor Cruise . While the elder Cruise flashed a smile for the cameras, his son could be seen chatting with other fans sitting next to him, according to Us Weekly . You can see Tom Cruise ‘s son Connor sitting next to him on his left in the photo below.

The Edge of Tomorrow share shares his son Connor with his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman . The former couple, who got married in December 1990 and divorced in 2001, also adopted a daughter, Isabella. While the pair rarely speak about their 11-year marriage, Kidman recently opened up about the media attention she experienced during their relationship in an interview for  Harper’s Bazaar   for their October 2021 cover story.

“I was young. I think I offered it up?” Kidman   said when asked about the media frenzy she and Cruise faced. “Maybe I’ve gotten a bit more trepidatious, but I’m always trying to be as open as possible. I just prefer to live in the world that way.”

The  Big Little Lies   star went on to explain why she prefers to be honest in the public eye: “I’m wary at times, and I’ve been hurt, but at the same time I much prefer a warm approach rather than a prickly shutdown approach. My husband, Keith [Urban], says that when he met me, he said, ‘How’s your heart?’ And I apparently responded, ‘Open,'” she said, referring to her new spouse, whom she married in 2006.

Ever since she split from Cruise, Kidman has also kept her relationship with her children private. Some have speculated over the years that the Nine Perfect Strangers  star is estranged from her children with Cruise due to their involvement in the Church of Scientology with their father, however, Kidman has since denied these rumors.  “They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love,” she told  The Sun  in 2019. These days, it looks like both Cruise and Kidman are offering that love up to their kids.

Tom Cruise took his son out to the ballgame.

The Hollywood star and son Connor, 26, went to the San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers playoff game at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Saturday night.

The Cruises may have been a good luck charm for the visiting team, too, as the Dodgers won 9-2 to even their National League Division Series at one game apiece. The Giants then won Monday in Game 3, giving San Francisco a one-game lead.

Cruise shares Connor with ex-wife Nicole Kidman. They also have daughter Isabella, 28. Cruise has daughter Suri, 15, with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

People generally don’t see Connor too often — he last posted a picture on Instagram in April when he was out deep-sea fishing.

Tom and Connor were also spotted together in London in 2019, where movie star dad was showing his son “some aviation basics,” according to People .

Fans have also not seen much of his dad recently, either. His long-awaited “Top Gun: Maverick” has been pushed back from its original release date of June 2020 until May 2022.

While moviegoers will have to wait to see him in the film, co-star Jon Hamm said it will be a real treat.

“I loved it,” he said on TODAY in September 2020. “It’s everything you hope it’s going to be. It’s everything I hoped it is going to be, and Tom obviously is perfect in it and amazing.”

Connor Cruise is sliding a few surprises to his followers. 

Although he doesn't frequently post many selfies to social media, the 26-year-old Florida-based son of former couple Tom Cruise and  Nicole Kidman took to his Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 7 to share a photo of himself in attendance at Tampa's Amalie Arena. He was on hand as the hometown Tampa Bay Lightning won the NHL's coveted Stanley Cup for the second straight season. 

The pic shows Connor smiling while seated next to Aden Darmody , whose mom is Tom's younger sister Cass Capazorio .

"Nothing better than Stanley Cup Final hockey with family," Connor captioned the image, in addition to tagging Aden and the team. "Go Bolts."

Connor also shared other posts throughout the game, including one featuring the squad's introduction and a caption that read, "Let's f--king go!!!!!!!" After the game's conclusion, he posted footage with such captions as "Back to back" and "Champa-Bay."

His celebratory messages came on the same day that older biological sister  Isabella "Bella" Kidman Cruise shared a selfie of herself watching England's soccer team prevail at the 2020 Euro semifinal. 

Tom and Nicole, who share Bella and Connor, split up in 2001 following their 11-year marriage. All of the family members remain selective about what they reveal publicly from their personal lives.

Details About Tom Cruise's Relationship With His Only Son Connor

Tom Cruise has secured the spot as one of the most successful actors of our time. From his role as the seemingly innocent Joel Goodsen in "Risky Business" to the Bond-like Ethan Hunt in "Mission Impossible," the actor has spent the last four decades making a name for himself. In addition to being a successful actor, Tom Cruise is also a well-known father of three — sharing two kids with his ex-costar Nicole Kidman (Connor and Isabella) and one with the "Dawson's Creek" actress Katie Holmes (Suri).

While his relationship with Suri hasn't been the best , he does seem to maintain a strong connection with Connor and Isabella. Connor chose to live with his father after the divorce

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's decade-long marriage came to an end when Cruise suddenly filed for divorce in 2001 . According to Kidman, this came as a surprise, since she believed that they had a relatively happy marriage. "It took me a very long time to heal," she told DuJour Magazine (via People ). "It was a shock to my system." In light of this, Cruise wanted joint custody of Connor and Isabella due to "irreconcilable differences." Whatever those differences may have been surely left Kidman confused, as it led to Connor and Isabella leaving her to live with Tom in Los Angeles, California (via Vogue ).

According to an interview with Hello! Magazine in 2010, she revealed that she was open to the idea of Connor and Isabella living with her and her husband, Keith Urban (via Vogue ). Unfortunately, she revealed that the choice for them to live with their father was purely their own, stating, "They live with Tom, which was their choice. I would love for them to live with us, but what can you do?" Despite his sudden departure from his mother, Connor iterated that the two still maintain a strong connection with each other. "I don't care what people say, I know that me and Mum are solid," he told Women's Day Magazine . "I love her a lot. My family means everything. ... the family comes before everything else."

He was heavily supervised due to Scientology

Being the son of two major actors isn't easy, since it usually leads to unwanted attention from the public. Connor shares the same religious beliefs as his father

Despite being under heavy surveillance as a kid, it seems like his belief in Scientology never wavered. With the Church of Scientology exiling Nicole Kidman for holding opposing beliefs, she shared that Connor decided to remain involved with the religion after her divorce from Tom Cruise. During her interview with Who Magazine , Kidman revealed that although her kids are devoted to a religion she doesn't believe in, she still loves them dearly. "They are adults," Kidman stated, "They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

Due to his close relationship with his father, it's safe to assume that Tom Cruise had a big influence on his son's religious beliefs. According to People , their shared faith in Scientology may have been the glue that kept them together all these years. In 2019, the father-son duo was spotted in London on the same weekend as the International Association of Scientologists (IAS) — an annual Scientology event held in Sussex, England, per  People . A source told People that they were likely in London to attend the event, stating, "Tom has attended numerous times in the past. This appears to be the first time Connor has gone." Within the Scientology community, Connor is beloved. With Clearwater, Florida being his place of residence — the church's center — Connor appears to be very close to those in the community.

He followed in his father's footsteps for a while

Religious beliefs aren't the only thing of common interest amongst the father-son duo. As the son of two legendary figures in the world of acting, it's only natural to assume he'd follow suit — and he did, for a time. His brief acting stint saw him star alongside massive acting stars like Chris Hemsworth in the 2012 remake of the action war film "Red Dawn," and Will Smith in the 2008 drama "Seven Pounds" (via IMDb ). Smith also revealed that before attaining his gig in the drama film, Connor had been expressing interest in acting for eight to nine months. If you were to take a look at Connor's Instagram , you'd be amazed by the number of deep-sea creatures he has reeled in — which spans from massive-sized yellowfins to swordfishes. Despite his private nature, Connor has no problem sharing his deep-sea feats with his 40,000 followers. According to TMZ , his talents as a fisherman saw him come in first place at the 2022 Sarasota Slam fishing tournament in Florida. Connor was able to reel in a 301-pound Warsaw grouper, which was then donated to feed those in need. Safe to say that fishing is a massive passion for the 27-year-old.

Although Tom stated that he was confident Connor would follow in his footsteps as an actor, he may have influenced his son's trajectory from acting to deep-sea fishing. According to Connor, fishing was something that Tom introduced him to as a kid. "We used to go fishing a lot when I was [a] little kid," he told People, "The biggest fish I caught was a 250-pound Tuna in Fiji. I was 10" (via People). While it's clear Connor has many talents, it seems like fishing always seemed promising. People states that the young prodigy of the seas has since turned his hobby into a full-time job, all thanks to his father.

Tom and Connor Cruise don't see Suri all that much

After divorcing Nicole Kidman in 2001, Tom Cruise hopped into another very publicized marriage. In 2006, Tom  married Katie Holmes, and the couple had a daughter, Suri, the same year. During the Cruise-Holmes marriage, it seemed that Connor and Isabella were well acquainted with their step-mom and half-sister. In fact, Holmes stated that they started to call her "mom" since they were so close (via People ). Sadly, this would come to an end, as 2012 saw the demise of Tom and Holmes' relationship. Tom's connection with his daughter slowly became damaged as a result of Holmes winning custody of Suri. From limited visits to long-distance phone calls, Tom began to fade out of Suri's life.

Given Tom's relationship (or lack thereof) with Suri, it's safe to assume that Connor doesn't get to see her all that much either. The last time Tom and Connor were seen with Suri was in 2012. Although we may never know the true extent of their relationship, it's safe to speculate that the two have drifted apart over the years. Despite his private nature, Connor doesn't shy away from expressing his sibling love to Isabella on his  Instagram , referring to her as his "Day 1 homie." 

While the Cruise father-son duo is quite heartwarming to see, it's a shame that the two seemingly don't keep in touch with Suri. After years of no contact, we can only hope that Tom, Connor, and Isabella might potentially mend that broken relationship.

Tom Cruise is a fan of Connor's music

Like his father, Connor Cruise has made himself known to be a multitalented individual. From acting to fishing, he's found success in almost anything he's put his mind to. As his father, Tom Cruise seems very proud of his son for stepping out of his shadow and excelling in whatever he desired. We caught a glimpse of this during Connor's brief music career. Despite only ever releasing one song in 2013 — which featured Mason Musso from Metro Station and songwriter/producer DJ Poet, who's also worked with the Black Eyed Peas (via Billboard ) — Connor found multiple gigs deejaying, from Nickelodeon's HALO Awards all the way to Rihanna's after-party in the Dominican Republic.

Amongst the countless endeavors Connor seemed to take on, Tom was seemingly enthralled by his son's prowess as a DJ. According to Connor, Tom came to a few of his sets to watch him perform (via YouTube ), stating that his dad could usually be found "chilling in the corner." Onlookers in attendance at his 2012 show at London nightclub Chinawhite spotted Tom as he quietly made his way into the venue. "Tom walked in and went straight over to Connor and hugged him," an insider told People. "Then he sat down with a glass of water in the corner and just proudly watched his son for the rest of the night." Although Connor was only 17 at the time, Tom seemed to be okay with his son spending his time in clubs doing what he loved.

Tom banned Nicole Kidman from attending Connor's wedding

Although Connor reassured his fans that he and his mom were "solid," it seems that he's kept her out of important events in his life. In 2015, his sister Isabella made things official with her long-time boyfriend Max Parker, and didn't invite her mother to the event. According to an insider, Nicole Kidman didn't even know that her daughter was getting married (via People ). "She, like all mothers, wants her child to be happy, and it surely seems Bella is very happy," the source stated. Despite her positive outlook on the situation, the same occurred four years later when Connor married fellow Scientologist Silvia Zanchi — which made fans question the status of his relationship with his mother.

With the marriage ceremony being Scientology-themed, one can assume that they didn't invite Kidman due to her opposing beliefs on the celebrity-centric religion. According to Radar Online , an insider suggested that this may have been the case since Tom Cruise banned Kidman from attending the wedding. "Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law," the insider stated. "Tom made the call and Connor followed." Although Kidman is his mother, Tom probably didn't want her to attend the Scientology-based event since she's referred to as a "suppressive person" by the church. While some may believe that his father shouldn't have had a say in Connor's wedding, it seemed like Connor didn't hesitate to leave his mother out of the ceremony.

Connor stood by his father after his divorce from Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's six-year marriage came to an end when she filed for divorce in 2012. Cruise, who was distraught by the news, faced scrutiny regarding what may have caused Holmes to act so quickly. Like he'd done to Nicole Kidman in 2001, Tom was left in a similar state of confusion and shock when Holmes suddenly decided to end their relationship. "To be 50 and to have experiences and to think you have a grip on everything, and then it hits you — this is it, what life can do to you," he told German TV network ProSieben (via CBS ). "Life is a tragicomedy. You need to have a sense of humor."

What followed was surely a tense period for not only Holmes and Tom, but for the kids as well. With Suri attracting unwanted attention, Connor stood by his father's side when the news broke. Even though Connor and Isabella had seemingly built a strong connection with Holmes, Connor took to Twitter on July 1, 2012, to assure everyone that he would stick with his father no matter what: "#LaFamilia Always. Friends come and go, but family is forever" (via  E! News ). Holmes' calculated departure from the Cruise family potentially resulted in a strained relationship between her and Tom's older kids. 

Tom nurtures his relationship with his son

Despite Tom's questionable parental choices, he seemingly values and cares about the relationship he has with his children. Coming from a home surrounded by verbal and physical abuse, Tom knows — from experience — what a strained connection with your parent can do to a child. In an interview with Parade, Tom recalled his father being "a coward and a bully" (via CBS ). This constant tension resulted in Tom building a deep resentment towards his father for how he was treated. So much so that when Tom reconnected with his bedridden father 10 years later, he was utterly disappointed. With his father only agreeing to meet him if they don't speak about the past, Tom expressed a level of displeasure watching his father on his deathbed. "When I saw him in pain, I thought, 'Wow, what a lonely life,'" he stated, "He was in his late 40s. It was sad."

Given his tumultuous relationship with his father, we could understand why he nurtures his connection with Connor. Out of his three kids, Connor is the one that Tom is seen with the most. From their shared religious beliefs to living close to each other in Clearwater, Florida, the two seem inseparable. Although Tom's home life is — for the most part — private, it is safe to assume that he wants nothing more than to be a loving father.

Tom Cruise made a rare appearance with his son, Connor , 26, over the weekend. The Mission Impossible  actor was spotted at a baseball game in San Francisco on Saturday. Cruise and his son were at Oracle Park for game two of the National League Division Series between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers when fans noticed the actor in the stands. Fellow actor Danny Glover was also in attendance for the big game.

"All the celebs come out for #NLDS games!! Wonderful to host THE @TomCruise at the @SFGiants v @Dodgers game tonight. Asked him which team he’s rooting for and he gracefully replied, 'I’m a fan of baseball,'" Amy Gutierrez, a reporter for the Giants shared alongside a selfie with Cruise.

Cruise was also captured on the video board, as the Top Gun  track "Danger Zone" played in the background.

While it was more of a family affair, the actor chatted it up with a few fans who stopped by his seat during the evening and posed for a couple of selfies.

Connor, Cruise and ex-wife  Nicole Kidman 's son, rarely makes appearances with his famous parents. In April, Connor shared a glimpse into his personal life during a European fishing trip. It was a first in a series of posts from the Florida native after a bit of a social media hiatus in October 2020.

Connor, an avid fisherman judging by his Instagram account, showed off his big catch to the camera alongside friend and boat captain Jack Vasilaros.

"One bite everybody knows the rules @barstooloutdoors @barstoolsports @hook360 shoutout to everyone who doesn’t want to fish against @hookedforlife in the gulf. Respect to him, best I’ve ever seen. @fountainofyouthfishing #72.05," he wrote.

Cruise and Kidman adopted both Connor and his older sister, 28-year-old Bella, when they were still married. Back in 2018, Kidman shared why she's so private when it comes to her children with Cruise and  how she feels about them choosing to be Scientologists  like their father.

"I have to protect all those relationships," she told Australia's  Who  magazine. "I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is."

"They are adults," she added. "They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them. And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe -- that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here."

The Golden Globe winner became a parent while married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001.

After struggling to conceive, the former couple adopted daughter Isabella and son Connor in 1992 and 1995, respectively.

Amid their divorce, the “Big Little Lies” alum suffered an ectopic pregnancy . After splitting from Cruise and moving on with Keith Urban , Kidman later welcomed daughters Sunday and Faith via surrogate.

As for Cruise, he moved on with Katie Holmes in 2005. The duo welcomed their daughter, Suri, in April 2006, seven months before tying the knot in Italy.

Kidman became a first-time mother in 1993, when she and her then-husband Cruise adopted their daughter Bella. A few years later, the pair welcomed son Connor into their family. Though she grew up with her father in Beverly Hills, Isabella – who goes by the nickname Bella – has stayed mostly out of the spotlight. She graduated from West London's Delmar Academy of Make-up and Hair, before transitioning to a career in fashion.

In 2015, she married British I.T. consultant Max Parker , and though neither of her famous parents attended the nuptials, Cruise reportedly helped pay for the event, while a Kidman source told PEOPLE that she was " very happy for Bella ."

While Bella tends to keep a low profile, she does maintain an active Instagram presence , regularly posting photos of her art along with the occasional selfie. In March 2023, she even debuted a new hairstyle on the app, showing off her newly dark brunette shag haircut and bangs.

Connor Cruise , 29

Kidman and Cruise adopted their second child, son Connor, just after his birth in Florida on Jan. 17, 1995. Though her marriage to Cruise ended six years later, the actress has expressed her gratitude for the relationship, as it brought her her two older children.

"I got married really fast and really young," Kidman said in 2012. "But I don't regret that because it got me Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period."

Connor grew up in Los Angeles, and got his first real taste of the spotlight in 2008, when he acted alongside Will Smith in the drama Seven Pounds . Though he also had a role in the 2012 action film Red Dawn , he switched to music as a teen, releasing his debut single in 2013 and landing DJ gigs around the country.

Connor is also an avid deep-sea fisherman, a passion he attributes to his travels with his parents growing up. "We used to go fishing a lot when I was a little kid," he told PEOPLE in 2016. "I was blessed to travel the world as a young kid and now I'm traveling the world working."

The 29-year-old now resides in Florida and dedicates much of his time to fishing, as a source told PEOPLE in 2018. " Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater ," the insider said. "He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked."

In addition to his personal Instagram account — where he occasionally posts snaps of his impressive catches — he also runs a separate account dedicated to his barbecuing business, Connor's Meatshack .

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban , 15

Kidman and Urban welcomed daughter Sunday Rose on July 7, 2008, in Nashville. According to PEOPLE, Kidman's father first suggested the name Sunday in honor of the Australian patron of the arts, Sunday Reed. The couple, who claim Sunday as their "favorite day," was clearly on board.

When Sunday was young, the family relocated to Tennessee. In addition to picking up her parents' Australian lingo, Sunday adopted a bit of a Southern accent.

"My daughters are Nashvillians! They have a southern drawl," Kidman told PEOPLE in 2016. "They have some Aussie. They have an unusual mix. They're hybrids."

Her Aussie accent isn't the only way she's following in her mom and dad's footsteps — Sunday has had a passion for music since she was a little girl. "She sings incessantly," Kidman said in 2010 of her then-2-year-old-daughter. "She has a repertoire of about 30 songs: 'The ABC Song,' 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Traffic Light,' 'So Long, Farewell.' "

It seems like Sunday, now 14, wants to follow her mother into the filmmaking industry as well. In a 2018 interview for TIME 100, Kidman shared that Sunday was already thinking of pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

"I'm raising a little girl that's showing an interest in directing right now, " she said. "I want her to have a path for that."

At the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival, Kidman told E! News that Sunday also does some acting: "My daughter just got cast in her school play," she said. "So, that's been the main priority, learning lines with her."

Faith Margaret Kidman Urban , 13

Kidman and Urban surprised fans when they announced that they had welcomed daughter Faith Margaret via gestational surrogate on Dec. 28, 2010, in Nashville.

Like her sister, Faith's name has a sweet meaning. Despite their fertility struggles, Kidman and Urban " never gave up faith they'd have another child together," a friend of the couple told PEOPLE after her birth. As for her middle name, "Margaret" comes from Kidman's grandmother.

Juggling two young daughters with Kidman and Urban's busy careers isn't easy, though the actress told PEOPLE in 2019 that their family always comes first.

"At this stage in our lives, it's what works for the family and what works for our own joy," she said of avoiding jobs that mean too much time away from their daughters.

Kidman and Urban have done their best to keep their daughters' lives private, though both Faith and Sunday have occasionally made public appearances over the years. They were extras in their mom's HBO show Big Little Lies , and voiced baby birds in the film Angry Birds 2 . The girls even became close with the children of Kidman's Big Little Lies costars, as she explained to PEOPLE.

"They've grown up with those kids because I had them on-set around Monterey, and I'm like, 'Playdates, playdates!' " she said.

The pandemic brought on new challenges for Kidman's two younger children. Speaking to Glamour U.K. in November 2020, she explained that Faith and Sunday were " working through the emotions " of social distancing.

"One of the hardest things is just watching them pine and yearn for their friends," she added.

Earlier that year, Kidman spoke to Marie Claire Australia about how her husband was outnumbered and had to retreat from the "female-heavy" house on occasion.

" We're definitely female-heavy ! But as the girls say, 'The dog's a boy!' " she joked, adding that her husband finds solace in one of his shared hobbies with Faith.

"Oh, and he Googles cars — I'll know when he's stressed 'cause he's Googling cars," she said. "I couldn't care less what car I'm driving; you can pick me up in any old thing. But Keith and Faith love cars."

Though Kidman rarely posts her children on social media, she did share a sweet tribute for Faith's 11th birthday in December 2021. "Happy birthday our darling Faith. You are loved beyond measure," she captioned a photo of her daughter's birthday cake.

Suri Cruise looked so grown up on Wednesday when she she was captured heading on vacation with her mother, Katie Holmes  from New York. 

The mother-daughter duo were pictured getting into a car with their luggage as they headed off for the Easter weekend. Suri's beautiful long hair took centre stage of the pre-holiday snaps. The 17-year-old donned a pair of fabulously vibrant red trousers covered in white swirls, a corduroy navy blue jacket with a shearling collar and black trainers. 

Meanwhile, mom Katie oozed glamour wearing an oversized army-green jacket and beige trousers. The actress slipped on a pair of dark sunglasses, and opted for a pair of chunky black sandals for footwear.

The mother-daughter trip came just weeks before Suri turns 18 on April 18. Katie is exceptionally private about her daughter, and whether or not she will go to college has yet to be revealed. 

However, Suri has been involved in two of her mother's movies, Alone Together and Rare Objects, where she can be heard showing off her impressive singing voice.

Therefore, it is likely that the youngster may want to follow in her movie star parent's footsteps for a career in Hollywood.  Listen to Suri's incredible vocals in the video below.

Prior to their latest appearance in New York, the duo were spotted back in December for  Katie's 45th birthday celebrations.  The pair couldn't have looked more similar in the photos.

Katie looked effortlessly glamorous,  sporting a grey and black leopard print maxi dress, which she paired with classic white boots. 

Meanwhile, Suri was wrapped in a cozy grey tweed coat, oversized maroon scarf and black pointed-toe heels.

He does however pay £400,000 a year in child support which will come to an end when she turns 18 in April.

The former couple had a whirlwind romance and were engaged in June 2005, two months after they started dating. They welcomed Suri one year later. The pair split in August 2012.

Katie and Suri couldn't be closer and Katie has previously opened up about becoming a mother at 27: "I was happy to become a mom in my twenties. It's been nice that our ages fit … how do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together," she told Elle UK.
