Honma Golf Ball

50 Words or Less

The most complete line up of Tour-level golf balls on the market.  An option for every swing speed and player preference.

Introduction

When I say that Bridgestone’s Tour B330 family is the most complete in the game, it’s not hyperbole, it’s fact.  What other line up has a ball that perfectly fits PGA Tour winners like Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker, LPGA winners like Paula Creamer and Karrie Webb, as well as the thousands of recreational golfers who buy them in pro shops every week?  By offering a matrix of fitting options for high and low spin and high and low swing speed players, Bridgestone is assured that every golfer can be fit into a Tour B330 ball.

Bridgestone Tour B330 (5)

Each ball in the Tour B330 family has a unique feel.  The B330 is the firmest, with a nice “thock” off the putter.  The softest is the B330-RXS which comes off with a more mushy, buttery “thud.”  The B330-S and B330-RX have distinct feels, but it’s hard to definitively say which is softer.  The B330-RX feels similar to the B330, but just marginally softer.  The B330-S has more of a “thud” like the B330-RXS, but just a touch firmer.

In all honesty, if you like any ball in this family, you could probably be happy playing any other ball.  Each one is easily recognizable as a first-tier tour ball, and it’s only on close examination that you can pinpoint the differences in sound and feel between each one.

For long game testing, I hit each ball on a launch monitor with a driver, hybrid, and a long iron.  What I found was perfectly in line with my expectations and past experience with the Bridgestone Tour B330 series.  The B330 was the lowest spinning and firmest.  It’s the ball that’s designed for the big hitter who wants maximum distance.  For me, the B330-S spun just slightly more and was nearly equal to the B330-RX.  The B330-RXS spun the most and had the softest feel off the long clubs.

In terms of ball speed, the difference between the standard and RX models was negligible for me.  However, I’m a poor example of the differences between the two types as my swing speed is very near the dividing line of 105 MPH.  For players with swing speeds substantially above that threshold, ball speeds should be higher with the B330 and B330-S.  I had some players with slower swing speeds (90MPH and below) try these balls with their drivers and they got significantly better returns from the RX and RXS.

Bridgestone Tour B330 (2)

In the short game, the “S” balls really separated themselves from the B330 and B330-RX: both spun measurably more on full and partial wedge shots.  Though the difference was clear on the launch monitor, it was less noticeable on the course.  The B330-S definitely feels softer and checked up a little faster than the B330, but it was not as if one spun back and the other ran out.

If you’re a skilled player, I would recommend judging the short game ability of these balls on feel as much as launch monitor spin numbers because any of these balls is more than capable of performing any short game shot.  Though the B330-S and B330-RXS did post higher spin numbers, players who prefer a firmer feel off their wedges should opt for the B330 and B330-RX.

Who This Ball Is For

Anyone who wants to play a Tour ball but doesn’t want to compromise on distance.  There’s a ball in this line up for every player, from the high speed, high spin bomber (B330) to the lower speed player who wants every last RPM (B330-RXS).

To find the perfect Tour B330 model for you, Bridgestone offers a couple of good options.    To find a free, live fitting, check out their calendar of events ( HERE ) to see if they’re coming to your area.  If you can’t make it to an in person fitting, there’s the online Golf Ball Selection Guide ( HERE ) which is pretty slick.  You input some basic information (driver distance, average score, etc) and, based on their fitting database (250,000+ fittings and counting), they make 3 recommendations.  Next to each recommendation, they display the percentage of golfers like you who were fit into each ball.  The online tool fit me to my favorite Tour B330 model, the Tour B330-S.

Bridgestone Tour B330 (3)

If you want a tour caliber golf ball that will let you dial in exactly the feel and amount of spin you want in addition to being fit for your swing speed, the Bridgestone Tour B330 family is your best option.  No other golf balls deliver tour performance for amateur-level swing speeds like the B330-RX and B330-RXS, and you need look no further than the hottest golfer on the planet, Matt Kuchar, to see how well the B330-S performs on the world’s biggest stage.

Hi there Matt,

I have been playing whatever ball I could find and now want to start using one ball exclusively. Obviously, the Pro V1 / V1x have been recommended, but I don’t like the price tag. Would you say these Bridgestones (esp B330 and B330S), if properly fit, are the same in performance?

' src=

The Bridgestones are every bit as good as the Titleists.

' src=

Matt, could you give me more info/specs on then B330RX versus the RX S model balls. (Is Bridgestone still making the “S”?

The main differences are feel and a small amount of short game spin. I would just play the one you like the feel of.

Yes, the S is still in the line up.

Thanks, Matt. ( So “S” is for spin not “soft”….can be confusing these days.)

Is there a difference between the Bridgestone RXS’s that have the name “Bridgestone Golf” vs. the “B” logo? I’ve bought both online and they are in the same new packaging. Both claim to be 2016/2017 version.

I haven’t seen any of the new versions with “Bridgestone Golf” on the ball, but I would tend to trust the packaging (that they’re all the same ball) assuming they were bought from somewhere reputable.

' src=

Which ball is comparable to the e7? TrueType disappointed that they are becoming hard to purchase.

There’s nothing in the B330 line that I would compare to the e7. They’re two very different lines of balls.

Follow-up to my May 7th question: According to Bridgestone, the B330RXS”s that I’ve purchased in the same new 2016/2017 packaging are the SAME ball with different printing. At some point the older “Bridgestone Golf” lettering was changed to the new “B” logo. The balls are the same.

Thanks for the info!

' src=

I have been using the “S” ball for years and I love it. I have yet to try the “RXS” however. As far as distance off the tee goes, would you say the “S” ball is longer than the “RXS?” I’m a fairly long hitter but sometimes have trouble having spin on my short irons. So I’m thinking about giving the “RXS” a try.

Whether the S or RXS is longer depends on how it fits the individual. The only way to know is to try a sleeve for yourself.

' src=

What is the difference in tour rxs (new red box) and Rxs (silver box) both have the “B’ logo not the “bridgestone”. I was looking for the silver box but could only find the older box with the “bridgstone” logo. So I bought the red box that says Tour Rxs and does not spin on greens as well for me.

It seems like you’re referring to the Tour B: https://pluggedingolf.com/bridgestone-tour-b-x-tour-b-xs-tour-b-rx-tour-b-rxs-golf-ball-review/

' src=

Hey Matt, Thanks for all your good info man. I like how you mad it so simple to read and understand. I have one question. Can you let me demo a sleeve of the rxs b330’s? If I like them I will buy two dozen?

I don’t have any RXS left. I’m sure you can buy a sleeve at your local golf shop, though.

' src=

I would like a comparison between the B and the B330 lines, please. Do each have the same amount and pattern of dimples? The 330 line is less expensive, I think because I do not believe they have a urethane cover. Please advise.

The B330 line is the older version of what is now called the Tour B, that’s why it’s less money. Both are urethane covered. I’m not sure about the dimple patterns.

' src=

I really benefited from here through ths good post, thanks

Bridgestone 2011 B330 Ball

Bridgestone’s dedication to innovation has put them at the forefront of technological advancements, and they are often the first to come out with new ideas in the golf ball industry. Although they aren’t always at the top of the “Buzz” column, they consistently put out quality golf balls that are poised to compete with new offerings from the likes of TaylorMade, Nike, and Titleist.

Bridgestone currently offers two main line of golf ball: the Tour B330 line, and the “e” line, in addition to their xFIXx golf ball. The Tour B330 line consists of four different golf balls, with each one fitting a different type of golfer. The Tour B330 line further breaks down into the regular B330 group, and the B330-RX group, which offer golfers of all swing speeds a tour-quality urethane-covered golf ball that promises unmatched performance. Bridgestone is the truly only manufacturer to cater to golfers of all levels. Technology and Design The oldest and arguably most important piece of design behind all of the Tour B330 series is the 330 Seamless Cover Technology. SCT is designed to reduce drag during initial elevation, and hold the ball in the air for a longer time. The seamless design covers the entire golf ball, which results in pinpoint accuracy and added distance. The design of the ball’s cover also is made to encourage a penetrating ball flight that is less affected by the wind. This year’s Tour B330 golf balls also feature a new deconstructed cover that features a new dimple pattern and a softer urethane material.

Bridgestone 2011 B330 Balls

The Tour B330 and Tour B330-S also feature Bridgestone’s new RD10 resin mantle layers. The RD10 material is built to increase short game spin while simultaneously increasing distance. In fact, 2010 PGA Tour money leader Matt Kuchar played much of last year with a prototype version of this gall ball. The RD10 design also features Gradational Hardness Layering, which aids in increased power transfer between layers and better distance. Now let’s take a look in to how Bridgestone’s B330 series fits the needs of every golfer.

Tour B330 and Tour B330-S The Tour B330 and the Tour B330-S are made for professional level swing speeds, specifically for those who swing the driver over 105 MPH. Both golf balls have four layers, including a Gradational Core, an inner and outer RD10 resin mantle, and a seamless cover. Between the B330 and the B330-S, the B330 is the distance ball, similar to the Titleist ProV1x, the Srixon Z-Star X, the Nike 20XI-X, and the Callaway Tour i(z). The B330 is the spinier golf ball, in line with the Titleist ProV1, the Srixon Z-Star, the Nike 20XI-S, and the Callaway Tour i(s).

Tour B330-RX and Tour B330-RXS The Tour B330-RX and the Tour B330-RXS models are made for those with swings speeds under 105 MPH, which, given that the average golfer’s swing speed is only about 85 MPH, includes most people. Both models are three-piece balls, with a Gradational Core, a mantle later, and seamless cover. The B330-RX and the B330-RXS are really in a field of their own. While many golf ball companies offer golf balls made for slightly-less-than-professional swing speeds (Nike One Vapor, Titleist NXT, Taylor Made Burner Tour, Callaway HX Diablo Tour), they all have ionomer (the generic name for Surlyn) covers, and sacrifice spin and performance for durability and price.

Bridgestone 2011 B330-RX Balls Diagram

In a move that I am very excited about, Bridgestone also offers the Tour B300-RX in “Optic Yellow,” which is supposed to be much easier to track against the sky, and more visible lying in the grass. You might catch a little heat from your buddies for playing a yellow golf ball, but when you stop that ball on a dime from 200 yards out with your brightly colored B330-RX, they’ll shut up.

Distance and Spin I’ve long struggled to find the golf ball that fit me best, as I find the tradeoff between greenside spin and distance a tough one to make. Recently it was Prov1 vs. ProV1X, before that it was Taylor Made TP Red vs. Taylor Made TP Black, and before that Nike One Black vs. Nike One Platinum. Until last year, that is, when the Taylor Made Penta TP found a permanent spot in my bag. For me it had the greenside abilities of a high-spin ball, and the distance of a low-spin ball. Taylor Made actually removing the decision of picking between two balls seemed to help my game and gave me a nice peace of mind. Thanks to Bridgestone, however, I’ve learned that “decision” doesn’t have to mean “tradeoff.”

The first box I cracked open was the plain, old Tour B330. These are the low-spin, distance balls for the fast swingers. If I had to guess which of the four balls would be best for me, I would pick these. I tend to hit down on the ball excessively, which is great with my irons, but it robs my driver of a lot of distance. Because of that, I get significantly more distance with lower spin balls, like the ProV1X. Going in I was expecting this to be the longest of the four balls for me, and man was I right. The Tour B330 was just taking off on me with my driver and my irons. In fact, I gained about half of a club over my usual Penta, and with my driver I was hammering the ball past my usual spots on the fairways.

Bridgetsone 2011 B330 Balls Diagram

As expected, the green-grabbing power of the Tour B330-S (which I tried out next) is far superior. I have to say though; I was slightly disappointed with the spin with both golf balls. Don’t get me wrong, I could get them to check up nicely and on pitch shots, but they don’t have quite the same spin as some other balls on the market. I don’t want to overstate this though- if the ProV1’s spin is a 100, the Tour B330-S is a 98. I doubt most people would notice a difference, but in my experience, there is one. On the plus side though, the B330-S balls are also crazy long. Not only is the Tour B330 longer than the other balls out there, the Tour B330-S is too. The B330-S, a high-spin ball, was longer for me than most low-spin balls. As it should be, the B330-S is shorter than the B330, but, man, both are long.

Next I tried out the B330-RX. The RX and the RXS are both designed for golfers with swing speeds under 105 MPH, and my swing speed is usually just over 105, so it wasn’t a stretch for me to test out these golf balls. According to Bridgestone, the B330-RX are B330-RXS are supposed to be much softer than their tour-level counterparts. Distance numbers will vary as well, based on which ball fits you best.

Bridgestone 2011 B330 Balls Boxes

For me, the B330-RX and the B330-RXS didn’t fit as well as the tour-level balls, they were just a bit shorter. Not a lot, about 10 yards with the driver and half of a club with my irons, but enough to notice. Since the B330 and the B330-S were longer than most balls on the market, the B330-RX and B330-RXS were on par with the other golf balls out there. Take that with a grain of salt though, because the B330-RX and B330-RXS are designed for lower swing speeds. For people with an average swing speed, the RX and RXS should be longer than the B330 and B330S and most other urethane balls on the market. Basically, if you find the right ball for you among these four, one or two of them will be long, probably longer than anything else you are going to find.

The B330-RX and B330-RXS do also fall a tiny bit short in the iron spin category, like the B330 and B330-S. Similar to the tour-level balls, it’s not a huge difference, but it is one that I think some people will notice. Luckily, these balls are meant for slower swingers, who aren’t likely to expect to suck golf balls back on the green anyway. In fact, given the fact that their competition is mostly ionomer-covered golf balls, the people that these balls fit best will probably find them to be loaded with spin.

Short Game and Putting With golf balls, there are three aspects to feel: with the irons and woods, with the wedges, and with the putter. Off the long clubs, if you stick to the balls that fit your swing speed, you’ll get great feel. When you start to stray is where you run into some trouble, though that is to be expected. If you swing fast enough for the B330 and B330-S, the B330-RX or B330-RXS are just going to feel mushy, and if you should be playing the B330-RX or B330-RXS, the B330 and B330-S are going to feel a bit to firm for you, especially the B330. But if you play the correct golf ball, the feeling of perfectly matched steel on urethane is pure heaven.

Bridgestone 2011 B330-RX Balls Box

Around the greens, the story is similar. For better players, those who hit down on the ball and make crisp contact, you are going to want to stick with the tour-level balls. But, if you sometimes struggle around the greens to make contact on the middle of the face, the RX and RXS will be right up your alley feel-wise. In both cases, however, the “S” model is softer than its counterpart. All four of the models feel good (it’s hard to find a urethane ball that you can’t say that about), but to find the one that feel best is all about finding the ball that fits you best.

As I mentioned earlier, these balls are slightly lacking in the spin category. To put it in a simple way, the B330 and the B330-RX on a simple, flat pitch shot are both “hop, hop, hop, stop,” while the B330-S and the B330-RXS are both “hop, and stop.” The non-“S” models are both easier to hit bump and runs with, but if you like to fly the ball to the hole and are asking it to stop on a dime, the “S” models are right for you. But, like I mentioned above, because these are competing with ionomer-covered golf balls, most people who these balls fit will be very impressed with how much they spin.

Because they are all three- or four-piece balls with urethane covers, all of them perform admirably with the flatstick. They all have that soft, smooth feel that we have all come to expect with urethane, and the clicking sound that comes with ionomer is completely absent. While that is no big deal for the B330 and B330-S, because the RX and the RXS compete almost exclusively with ionomer-covered balls, they have a huge advantage.

Bridgestone 2011 B330s

I do have one gripe though. I like to draw a black Sharpie line through the alignment line on the side of the golf ball. Unfortunately, the “Tour B330” logo on the side of the golf ball is a little bulky, and a Sharpie line wasn’t quite thick enough to cover up the entire logo. In addition, many people like the arrows that some companies put next to the logo, but these golf balls are completely devoid of said arrows. A small issue indeed, but one that some people will notice.

Durability To be honest, I don’t expect a whole lot when it comes to durability. If I’m playing in a tournament, I’ll make sure to buy a fresh batch of golf balls and switch them out every few holes, but if I’m just playing for fun, which is most of the time, a little scuff mark doesn’t really get to me. That said, everyone wants to get the most out of their purchases, and the more durable a golf ball is, the longer it lasts before it must be relegated to the shag-bag. For me, ProV1s and Pentas last about a half-dozen holes before they’re scuffed them up enough that it’s worth it to take them out of play.

I should preface this by saying that I play irons that comply to the new USGA Condition of Competition that limits grooves, but I was quite impressed by just how long these golf balls lasted. I’ve played quite a few rounds and made several visits to the practice green since receiving these golf balls, and though I’ve been diligent in swapping them out to keep them fresh, I haven’t had to take a single ball out of play due to excessive scuffing.

Color The B330-RX are available in Optic Yellow, and it was my pleasure to get to try some of those as well. I have pretty decent eyesight, so seeing the ball land in the fairway (or OB, or in the water) is not my problem, but sometimes tracking the ball against the sky, especially when it’s either really sunny or completely overcast, can be tough.

Bridgestone 2011 B330rx

This is where these balls excel. To be honest, it’s not a stretch to buy the B330-RX just for the color. It surprised me, that’s for sure. I grew up whacking brightly colored yellow and orange Top Flites around my backyard and hacking it around on the range, so I had some good mojo going into it, but man was I surprised at how much I liked the yellow. I could see the ball against the backdrop of a grey and rainy sky and most importantly, I could see it in the rough. Yellow doesn’t seem like a brilliant color to pick out of deep grass, it is closer to green than white is after all, but you’d be surprised. I have to admit that there might be a bit of an issue with in the fall here in the northeastern U.S. (lots of yellow leaves), but in the summer the yellow balls are just so much faster to find. And, here’s the great thing, you will never play the wrong ball again (unless colored golf balls really take off).

I might not go so far as to play these in tournaments or with a business partner I am trying to impress (though it would be an interesting conversation starter), but by myself or paired up with some random golfers at a muni these will see some major time. My only wish is that Bridgestone offers the rest of their models in Optic Yellow. I’m sure Bridgestone is playing to the expected consumers of the yellow balls, but it would be nice to see them bring the advantages of Optic Yellow to the rest of their line.

Conclusion No matter what type of game you play, Bridgestone has a golf ball for you. Serious players looking to compete at the highest level should check out the Tour B330 or Tour B330-S. Average swingers looking to still get a little grab around the green qualify for the Tour B330-RX or Tour B330-RXS. Need a little help finding your golf balls in the tall grass? The Tour B330-RX in Optic Yellow is you best bet. If you prefer to play pitch shots that fly to the hole and stop on a dime, the Tour B330-S or Tour B330-RXS should be right up you alley. Need to play bump and run shots around the greens? The Tour B330 or Tour B330-RX will give you the flexibility to do so. They really have everyone covered.

I’m not someone who switches equipment everyday (I still play an r7 SuperQuad driver), so for me to make such a quick jump to a new golf ball is really saying something. If you like to have the utmost control over your golf game, premium balls are the way to go. While for some people they might be too expensive (it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to play a $4 ball if you are going to lose two balls per hole), everyone else owes it to themselves to find the golf ball that is right for you.

I picked up 12 dozen 330 rx off of Bidding for Good site. Less than $30 per dozen. I have played Pro V’s for a while. My swing speed has fallen off a little and my driver speed is 100-102. I find the rx very much same as Pro V. I play to single digit but more based on great short game vs pure striking. So while a harder longer ball might help my distance I need a little spin around greens as I miss so many. Bridgestone has very active ball testing at shows and ranges. The article has me thinking I need to try out the regular tour 330. Thank You Great article.

I play yellow 330 RX because I hit it so far I cannot see where it landed!!??? Jokes aside. A very good ball and a very comparable with Srixon Z Star XV. I think, the colour is better with Bridgestone.

I went out last night and picked up a dozen of the Tour B330’s and the E 6’s. I haven’t used them on the course yet however, I’ve done some putting with both the B330’s and the E 6’s I’ve noticed off the putter that the E 6’s have a softer feel much more preferred for my stroke style. Lastly, correct me if my information is inaccurate but I have learned that Titleist has stolen a lot of design information off bridgestone’s balls. Cant wait to use the B330’s and the E 6’s on the course—further reviews/comments are to be made 🙂

I may need to revisit the Bridgestone path. I tried their balls last year. In fact, I’ve tried pretty much every tour ball apart from the Callaway and the Penta. I got a dozen (6 Tour S, 6 RXS because of their pricepoint) and to be honest, I dropped a little in distance across the board. Side by side, they were consistently shorter than the ProV1x, and I lost about half a club on my irons which on our small greens is the difference between being on or being short. After trying everything (both Z-Stars, Nike etc), I always come back to the ProV1x. Yeah, its a little more expensive, but only $10 or so more a box. WHen I run out, I might try the Bridgys again. My driver speed fluctuates though. If Im swinging good on the day, its usually just over 105, but can be down around the 98-100 mark. HOw do I know this, I’ve spent plenty of time on trackman.

I’ve read several of your golf ball reviews and tend to agree with your assessments. So you actually did replace the Pro V1x in your bag with the Penta? I also like the Penta, and picked up a few dozen (buy 2 get 1 free). I’ve been going back and forth b/w them and the V1x. I like variety.

I agree westcosting89….to me the E6 is the softest feeling ball off the putter (disclosure – I have not tried the B330 RxS ball). Strange sense it is a Surlyn cover…..

With SS around 105 mph, I was just at the S-RX border. I decided to take both to the course to make up my mind.

Driving, the RX was a little bit longer, 5 yds at most. I carry ~240 yds. Irons, the RX was also a little longer, but not more than 2 yds on an 8-iron.

For chipping: no noticeable difference.

Where I saw the most difference was in feel: – in irons, the S felt a little harder, I was getting the mushy feel mentionned in the revieview with the RX, not the S – in putting, I much preferred the RX. Difficult to put words on it, but it feels softer and I think this encourages a very sweet pass through the ball – as it does on irons.

So in the end, I went for the RX.

I looked into this article in interest as i want to try the rx this season and see if i can get a bit less sidespin and more distance, but still keep the decent amt of spin i produce. ….however….OP does not fit the RX line and is more across the line onto the premium tour models… …soooo…i would have liked two authors for a change…i know each article is always one person..but having the op test the higher spin balls…while the other did the slower swing. otherwise reading an opinion on rx line from someone at the higher swing speed threshold is moot. would have loved to hear lower swing speed comments on its results. hopefully more sand trappers will comment to help me.

The B330-S is shorter than the “Costco” Callaway Hex Warbird by 10 yards. Bridgestone told me that the B330-S is called a “spin” ball, and you should expect a 10 yard or more loss of distance off the tee.

Up to the 8i they seem to perform about the same distance-wise.

However, the B330-S works much better for 105mph swing speed which promted me to call Bridgestone.

They are great balls, and they seem to do the job pretty well.

I will probably look into the RX and the S-RX balls when I purchase some balls.

I have a dozen 330S and a dozen Titleist Vx1s in my bag. The spin on the 330S is unquestionably the best I’ve ever seen. A solid strike from 40 yards with my LW checks up like the thing was dropped from a helicopter. I’ll sacrifice 5 yards off the tee for short game performance like that. So reliable around the greens.

The ball has helped me move up to the next level, and the three rounds I've played with this ball have been in the 70's. Try them if you can.| Block Wall San Leandro

none so far

I have been using these balls for over 2 years now and I have been very impressed with all the main features a tour ball should give you. The distance off the tee is very good, I am not going to tell you it added 50 yards distance etc. but it gives a nice flight without too much spin and I still get good roll at the end. I can move the ball well with my irons and the stopping power around the green is excellent. I also get great feel off my putter. I feel the ball is one of a number of things that have improved my handicap over the last few years. I have used the e6, Pro V, Callaway, and TaylorMade balls in the past and I have gone back and tried them every now and then over the past few years but I always feel more comfortable going back to the B330-S. I would recommend this ball to my friends and to me that is the best recommendation I can give.

I hit the ball about 260 off the tee. Not sure what that is in SS. I've played this and the 300, too hard, and the 330RX. RX didn't check and stop as well. The B330S is w/o a doubt my favorite ball on the market. The massive price tag is an absolute downer, but now that I'm not losing balls it helps ease the wallet pain. I do like the free hats, wind shirts and such for using their balls.

Never needed

All out there

I hit driver about 270. Whether that makes my swing speed unsuitable for the B300S, dont know, but I found them hard as a rock, especially off the driver face and not particulary durable or responsive to spin. Will not be using them again.

pro v, callaway touri,

Just started using these and I'm very impressed. Good feel off the putter and they 'drop and stop' very well. I lose about 20 yards off the driver compared to a distance ball, but the feel off my irons is great and that has led to more GIR. Good durability too. The ball has helped me move up to the next level, and the three rounds I've played with this ball have been in the 70's. Try them if you can.

I usually don't write reviews but I was so impressed by this ball I thought I would write one.I have tried many different top of the line brands but the b330s is by far the best in distance and spin.If there is one knock it maybe that they scuff a little easier than the some of the others.

This ball is the best I have found and I have tried a lot of balls. Off the driver side-spin is pretty low (it goes straight) and distance is pretty good. Around the greens it's magic - holds the greens really well even on short chips and pitches. The feel off the putter is nothing special, but definitely not bad. The overall feel is perfect for someone like me (105 mph driver swing speed). It's not too hard or soft. Durability is decent - I regularly play a full round with one ball. Give this ball a try if you are in the market for a premium level ball.

Don't know.

Almost everything - Titleist, Srixon, Callaway, Taylormade, Precept, etc, etc.

firstly i must say to the young lad who is 13 keep it up and you will see a drastic improvement to your game i am now 17 and like ure self i started off as a high handy capper and now shoot close to a scratch averaging a + 4 round as balls go the bridgestone b330s are just amazing i have used many golf balls from nike one gold, pro v1x and srixon z none i must say compare to the b300s i feel the b330s gives u amazing spin around the greens and were able to get the ball to check and dance around the gollf flag as you want to with this ball i found that i goined 10 + yards to my drives and am now averaging about 284 - 292 yards with precision the only down side to this ball is that it is not verry durable and scratches up verry easilly many people will moan and squander about buying this ball due to the high price £34.99 per dozen but if you are a good golfer u will not loose balls or verry rarely so the dozen will last you a longggggg time !!!1 definantely the best ball out on the market.

srixon z titliest prov1 bridgestone zx nike one gold

I have been using prov1 ones for a couple of months now and i tought id would give the bridgestones a go and i was amazed by the spin i got with them around the greens weather it was a lob of a punch type shot they all have nice check also now loos of distance off driver which is good for anyone cheaper that the prov1 so im sticking with the b330s

Bridgestone Tour B330: A Golf Ball that Does It All

B330 (2016)

Bridgestone Tour B330 1

Ball tested: Bridgestone Tour B330

Category: Tour/Advanced/Performance

Tested for golfers with average driving distance of: 246 to 300+ yards (carry + roll)

Specs: Construction – Four-piece; Cover – Urethane; Core – Gradational compression; Dimples / Pattern – 330 “dual” dimples in seamless pattern

Compression: High

Price as tested (new): $44.99 per dozen

Ball notes: While it has barely dented Titleists dominant position, Bridgestone has certainly established itself as a contender in the golf ball market. As the companys flagship “tour” ball, the Tour B330 has done a fine job representing the brand.

Bridgestone Tour B330 2

The Tour B330 anchors Bridgestones tour lineup, with the B330-S , B330-RX and B330-RXS designed to optimize performance for players of different swing speeds and performance preferences. As of this writing, Brandt Snedeker , Fred Couples and Davis Love III are a few of the high-profile pros playing the Tour B330.

This particular ball is engineered for golfers who swing the driver at 105 mph or faster – in other words, quite fast. (The average male tour pro, for comparisons sake, is around 110 – 115 mph.) Its relatively high overall compression of about 100 makes the Tour B330 somewhat difficult for slower swingers to, you guessed it, compress the ball against the clubface with enough force to generate maximum distance.

The Bridgestone Tour B330, along with its siblings, earned a gold medal in Golf Digests 2013 Hot List equipment test issue. Lets see how it fared when we put it through the paces.

On the clubface: While its always been the firmest ball in the family, the Tour B330 has been softened up for 2013. Of course, the faster your swing speed, the softer it feels off the driver, woods, hybrids and longer irons. Players who want marshmallow-like feel on greenside shots will likely prefer the Tour B330-S, but the standard version is soft enough to suit most tastes.

Off the tee: The Tour B330 ranks in the upper echelon for tour model length. Its a very long ball that flies with minimal spin and rolls out nicely after landing. Flight is mid-trajectory and stable, allowing for a modest amount of intentional shot-shaping, in keeping with expectations for the category.

Bridgestone Tour B330 3

From the fairway / rough: Its a tour ball. You don't have to worry about it bounding over the green on a well-struck iron shot. You can get away with hitting it a tiny bit thin, too (but only a tiny bit). For our purposes, the Tour B330 proved spot on – not too spinny, easy to control for trajectory and shape, confidence-aiding feel. Like its mates, this ball displayed excellent stability in the wind.

Around the green: The Tour B330s newfound softness is welcomed in the short game. While performance doesn't seem much different from previous models, the feel gave us a bit more confidence when playing difficult shots. That confidence was justified by the balls behavior. It responded well to a range of situations, from short-side pitches to long chips to mid-length bunker blasts.

Bottom line: Bridgestone really cant miss with the B330 line. There's just enough differentiation between models to tell them apart, with each having a specific and compelling selling point (i.e., more length, less spin, softer feel). While we wouldn't recommend the Tour B330 to middle or high handicappers, skilled players will appreciate its distance, control and spin qualities.

Bridgestone Tour B330 2016 Golf Ball Review

Bridgestone Tour B330 2016 Golf Ball Review

The latest Bridgestone Tour B330, released in 2016, is aimed at golfers looking for the ultimate speed. I mean, this baby is advertised as being the perfect choice for players with swing speeds of more than 105 miles per hour folks! So, what we're dealing with here is a high-end golf ball engineered by and for Tour professionals which are seeking the maximum distance for their game. The new Tour B330, the 2016 edition is a new and improved version, featuring a firmer Tour-core, which was designed for improving the ball speed, thus providing longer distance. There's also a new proprietary technology incorporated into its built, namely the SlipRes coating (the ball cover) which is aimed at maximizing green-side performance. Speaking about performance, the Bridgestone Tour B330 2016 comes with a new engine, i.e. the new Tour-Core which is now six percent bigger and built with some sort of a composite material, which is softer on the outside and firmer on the inside, and the end result is very impressive. I mean, the Bridgestone Tour B330 2016 offers more speed and less spin right off the driver than ever before.

Bridgestone uses a proprietary technology for the core which allows them to get the job done in one layer , as opposed to other companies who require two or three for the same thing, thus offering an improved energy transfer from the driver to the ball, leading to more power and more distance. The new and improved coating featuring the SlipRes technology is maybe the best Bridgestone has ever invented and built, and the end result is a ball with an impressive friction coefficient, one of the highest on the market, which is capable of achieving things almost impossible just a few years ago: full-throttle green-side spin, but without losing any from the rough. Also, the Bridgestone Tour B330 2016 provides less spin off the driver, thus increased distance. I must recommend the B330 to all players looking for consistent flight in any weather, more spin, more distance and more playability.

Bridgestone Tour B330-S 2016 ball review

Reviewing Tiger Woods' new golf ball.

tour b330s

Tiger Woods is currently free to play whichever golf ball he likes following Nike Golf's decision to concentrate solely on footwear and apparel.

Making his comeback after 15 months on the sidelines through injury, Woods rocked up at the Hero World Challenge last week with a box of Bridgestone Tour B330-S balls in his bag.

Woods isn't getting paid a single cent to use this golf ball, so going on that, you have to believe there is plenty to admire about this product.

At the end of the day this isn't any old golfer. This is Tiger Woods. Not just a man with 14 majors in his closet, but a man who is knowledgeable about golf equipment and persnickety in his approach when it comes to change.

Bridgestone Tour B330-S 2016 ball review

Woods was inundated with just about golf product on the planet when the news broke about Nike Golf's equipment business, and while he was particularly keen on TaylorMade's M1 and M2 woods, the former world number one was also taken aback by Bridgestone's B330 and Tour B330-S.

After stringent testing, Woods settled on the latter, a golf ball also favoured by his good friend and Bridgestone staff player Matt Kuchar who no doubt put in a good word!

NEW EQUIPMENT: TIGER WOODS - IN THE BAG

Unfortunately Bridgestone no longer sells its golf balls in the UK and Ireland market, but we still managed to get a solid hour of testing in with this ball when clasping hands on it earlier this year in the United States.

We have always been a big fan of Bridgestone balls here at GolfMagic.com, and the Tour B330-S has regularly been the model of choice when we have been fortunate enough to join the Bridgestone guys for a ball fitting.

The new Tour B330-S is a 3-piece golf ball that comes with a striking urethane cover designed for players with a driver clubhead speed over 105 mph - which we just happen to fall into nicely.

Bridgestone Tour B330-S 2016 ball review

For us, the biggest pro to the 2016 Tour B330-S ball is its Dual Dimple design, which features a dimple-within-a-dimple pattern.

While the pattern may look a bit unusual to the eye, its dimple design reduces drag and ensures the ball launches slightly higher than you would normally expect it to. It will also come down a little more steeply to aid better distance control.

In our eyes, this one of the better premium golf balls to use out in the wind. Perfect for these cold, breezy winter months we're currently entering.

Bridgestone Tour B330-S 2016 ball review

Other positives to the Tour B330-S ball is a revitalised Tour Core that is 6% larger.

This utilises a steeper gradient in softness from the inner part of the core to the outer region, resulting in faster ball speed and reduced spin off the driver.

Bridgestone has also designed a new SlipRes Cover that the brand touts as its "best performing" on a golf ball before, and during testing this is hard to disagree.

Previous iterations of the Tour B330-S ball have typically spun nicely and felt easy enough to control around the greens and greenside bunkers, but the latest model offered us a little more zip than we had previously experienced - testament to its revamped SlipRes coating.

On the putting surface, the ball felt as though it stayed on the putter face longer due to its remarkably soft feel. It also made a pleasing sound and rolled nice and true.

Bridgestone Tour B330-S 2016 ball review

Tiger Woods may very well change his mind when it comes to putting a new golf ball in play come January 2017 - much of that will depend on his next equipment sponsorship deal.

But right now we feel Woods has made a wise decision to put the Tour B330-S in play.

For us, the ball offers plenty of distance off the tee, bundles of spin and control around the greens and inside of 100 yards, and most impressively, superb distance control through the bag when out in the severest of winds.

By no means cheap at some $45 per dozen, but if you're a US resident with a driver swing speed over 105 mph and just happen to be in the market for a new premium golf ball, then Bridgestone's Tour B330-S should be extremely high on your list.

If it's good enough for Tiger, it's good enough for us!

While the B330 and B330-S perform exactly how you would hope a premium ball to, the B330-RX are even more impressive. They produce the same soft feel but extra distance if you swing at a medium to slow swing speeds, well worth trying out.

Why you can trust Golf Monthly Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test .

The Bridgestone Tour B330-RX is a premium golf ball designed for swing speeds between 85-105 mph and is the softest multi-layer ball on the market. The Tour B330 and the softer Tour B330-S are improvements from last year’s versions. A new inner layer is designed to reduce spin on long shots for extra distance.

Forgive me if this has been discussed at length in another thread, but aside from lower compression numbers, how do the latest B versions of the -RX/-RXS compare with the previous 330 iterations? Distance, height, and spin are all of interest to me as I currently game the older versions and have not tried anything newer. Thanks in advance.

i am playing the Tour BRX and the B330 RX's...the 330 RX's seem little softer to me, but besides that both are good balls.. you can get great deals on the B330 RX on ebay..

i dont like the RXS.

the BRX is my ball going forward...love it

Glad to hear you like it, and if the performance is there like in the past versions, I won't hesitate to play it at a softer compression.

RX/RXS versions are softer, launch higher, and spin significantly less of irons and wedges than the X and XS counterparts. They also seem to spin a bit more off driver for players with high swing speeds. It’s their diet version of a tour ball, but some people prefer and may even benefit from the diet version.

I was aware of the "diet" generalization as it compares with their flagship tour models, but I was trying to get a handle on the newest "diet" version as it relates to the 2016(and earlier) "diet" R versions.

More or less it’s similar.

The Tour B models seem to have better short game spin than the 330 predecessors, but the relative comparisons are the same with 330->X, 330s->XS, 330rx->RX, 330rxs-RXS.

The overall ball got better spin in the wedge department with the new TourBs, but they are comparable for the most part. I played the 330 and 330RX and like the BX, BRX better, but no ball changed place if that’s what you are asking.

Ok, thanks for that info. I heard a long time user of the 330RX complain about the new BRX for some reason or another, and I was just looking to see if others were turned off by the new model as well.

I’ve felt they were modest improvements across the board. They feel softer with same or better ball speed and the BX has better stop and drop than the 330.

Feel the other balls are improved too

I really liked the 330RX and if the newest version, BRX, is even the least bit better I'm sure to love it.

just got a prior gen doz on ebay for $24, it is a good ball..i played both prior gen and Tour BRX, i am not a good enough golfer to tell diff, I will say the new Tour BRX may be a liitter firmer off putter, buts its not much at all

James the Hogan Fan

I'm gonna say, as a user of the RXS, hold on tomy the B330's as long as you can. I've played the Tour B RXS and RX all season, and compared to the B330-s and my all time favorite B330 of the pre-"B" days there's just something in the feel I don't like.

However, I have played them for a whole season and have had: 2 career low rounds, driven 3 par 4's, a couple shots pulled back on greens. I've gotten used to the differences. It's still a versatile, dependable, very good lineup of balls, there is just a slight feel difference from the B330's of yore.

You're comparing apples and oranges if going between the RX/RXS and the B330/B330S. Of course there will be a noticeable difference in feel.

B330 RX's....all day

Product Description

A new engine - the all new Tour core is 6% larger and utilizes a steeper gradient in softness from the inner part of the core to the outer region, resulting in faster ball speed and more reduced spin off the driver than ever before. Our proprietary gradient technology in the core allows us to accomplish in one layer what others accomplish in two or three, leading to a smoother energy transfer and more power generated by the b330s. An R&D marvel - the newly formulated slipres cover is the highest performing cover Bridgestone has ever produced on a golf ball. It has the highest friction coefficient rating possible, to achieve the impossible: maximum greenside spin without losing any spin from the rough and reduced spin off the driver for longer distance. Slipres also delivers a self-repairing cover for longer playability. More distance - more spin - more playability, guaranteed! the slipres coating in the b330s is softer than the B330, offering increased greenside spin. Consistent flight in all elements - seamless cover technology (sct) is a proprietary manufacturing process that eliminates the straight part line and creates a non-uniform part line around the golf ball. The result is the most consistent golf ball in terms of accuracy, distance and trajectory ever created.

Bridgestone Tour B330S Golf Ball Tiger Woods may be still be dressed in Nike for his return this year, but he's switched allegiances when it comes to his golf balls. This is the reason.

bridgestone-b330-s-golf-ball-1

Tiger Woods may have come back still wearing Nike from head to toe, but there’s something he won’t be using from the sport apparel outfit: their golf balls. That’s because the 11-time PGA player of the year will now be swinging his clubs at Bridgestone’s Tour B330S.

Designed for golfers who swing at over 105mph like the pros, the balls are designed for optimal performance, from the moment it spins off the driver to the time it rolls down on the green. Simply put, it designed for greater distance and faster speed, ensuring you can maximize every swing like never before.

bridgestone-b330-s-golf-ball-2

The Bridgestone Tour B330S has a six percent larger core with a steeper gradient in softness from the inner area to the outer region, allowing the ball to fly faster with minimal spin as it leaves your driver. They also use just a single layer for the core, which facilitates smoother energy transfer and greater power generation. It also comes with the highest-performing cover the outfit has ever produced on a golf ball, delivering maximum greenside spin without losing any of its ability to spin in the rough.

tour b330s

Kershaw Showtime Knife Equal parts stylish and utilitarian, Kershaw's version of a gentleman's knife combines a compact size with a clean silhouette and a sleek two-toned finish.

That cover, by the way, benefits from two of the outfit’s proprietary tech: seamless cover and dual dimple pattern. The former eliminates the straight line on the ball, creating a non-uniform parting line that promotes better consistency, while the latter facilitates heightened performance through the strongest winds.

Available now, the Bridgestone Tour B330S is priced at $44.99.

Just returned from a fanstastic and rich experience in moscow, the Golden cities and St. Petersbrg. We felt taken care of as if we were royalty! our guides were extremely knowledgable and so we learned so much and gained such an appciation for the people, the struggles and the country. Witout the guide and driver, we would have just appreciated the architecture but learned nothing. You helped at every turn - this could not have been a better experience and we cannot thank you enough.

I just want to inform you that we have completed our trip to Russia. We really enjoyed the arrangement you have made for us, from the airport transfer, picking up our Bolshoi tickets, the hotel in Moscow, and of course the Golden Ring tour itself. Our tour guide, Irina, provided us with a lot of information on the buildings and history, which make our following visits to Moscow+St. Petersburg more rewarding. Thanks again for making our visit to Russia a wonderful one.

The Golden Ring of Russia

The Golden Ring is a group of medieval towns and cities that form a ring to the northeast of Moscow. These towns played a significant role in early Russian history and in the formation of the Russian Orthodox Church. The towns are full of ancient Russian architecture from the Middle Ages including kremlins (walled fortresses), monasteries, cathedrals and churches. Visiting the Golden Ring will give you a chance to go back in time and imagine a Russia that used to be. The cities are associated with Russian Princes and knights, early Tsars such as Ivan the Terrible, the Mongol invasions and many other historical figures and events. Listening to the history and legends told by your experienced guide will evoke memories of storybooks and fairy tales. The towns of the Golden Ring are all in the Russian countryside which is beautiful – full of forests and fields and rivers and lakes. Apart from the Golden Ring, we also offer tours to the Silver Ring of Russia. These tours include such famous towns as Veliky Novgorod and Pskov. Your time in these ancient areas will be a great break from the bustle of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Walk along ancient Kremlin walls and see the onion domes rising from cathedrals where time has stopped, or follow paths along old riverbanks – travel back in time with our Golden Ring tours. An unforgettable adventure awaits.

Frequently Asked Questions From Our Travelers

How far are the golden ring cities from moscow.

The Golden Ring cities are located within 2-4 hours drive of Moscow. The distance by road between Moscow and Suzdal is 219 km (3-4 hours drive), between Moscow and Sergiev Posad – 73 km, nearly a 2 hour drive. However, the distance between the cities of Golden Ring is rather short: e.g. between Vladimir and Suzdal it’s only 37 km.

Which cities of Golden Ring are worth visiting?

The following cities are the most well-known and attract the most attention: Suzdal, Vladimir and Sergiev Posad. If you have more than 1-2 days, we recommend Yaroslavl, Rostov Veliky and Kostroma.

Why do people call this group of cities the “Golden Ring”?

The cities of the Golden Ring, located northwest of Moscow, are spread out in a ring shape. The term was created in 1967 by historian and journalist Yuri Bychkov who wrote travel articles under the name “Golden Ring” because his route took the shape of a ring as he travelled through these cities.

How to get to the Golden Ring cities of Russia?

You can travel by train from Moscow to Vladimir, Sergiev Posad, Kostroma, Rostov Veliky and Yaroslavl. Alternatively, you can order a private tour and go by car with a private driver

What can I do while visiting the Golden Ring cities and towns?

Golden Ring cities and towns are very different from Moscow and St Petersburg. Instead of visiting art museums and ballet performances, you can enjoy exploring local Kremlins and fortresses, ancient churches and monasteries, listening to the church bells ringing, enjoying local foods and drinks, visiting banyas, spending time in pristine nature, and strolling along the Volga river.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Tens of thousands of displaced and exhausted Palestinians have packed up their tents and other belongings and fled the southern city of Rafah for other parts of Gaza, according to the United Nations.

Israel has repeatedly threatened to invade Rafah , saying it’s the last stronghold of Hamas militants. Some 1.3 million Palestinians — over half Gaza’s population — had sought refuge in the city.

“Where are we supposed to go? Where is the world, that’s just watching us?” said Ahmad Abed, who has an 8-month-old daughter. “It’s like we’re sheep.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that a U.S. threat to withhold some weapons would not deter Israel from expanding its offensive in Gaza. A limited Israeli operation earlier this week captured the Gaza side of Rafah’s border crossing with Egypt, throwing humanitarian operations into crisis.

The death toll from the war in Gaza has soared to more than 34,500 people, according to local health officials , and caused vast destruction to apartments, hospitals, mosques and schools across several cities. The U.N. says northern Gaza is already in a state of “full-blown famine.”

Palestinians on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, will mark the 76th year of their mass expulsion from what is now Israel. The war began Oct. 7 when Hamas attacked southern Israel, killing around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducting about 250 others. Israel says militants still hold around 100 hostages and the remains of more than 30 others.

U.N. SAYS MORE THAN 80,000 PEOPLE HAVE FLED RAFAH AS ISRAELI FORCES POUND THE CITY

UNITED NATIONS — Some 80,000 Palestinians have fled Israeli shelling and airstrikes in Gaza’s southern city of Rafah by Wednesday night, the United Nations says. The exodus is increasing by the hour and could be close to 100,000 by Thursday evening.

Some 1.3 million Palestinians — over half Gaza’s population — had sought refuge in Rafah.

There’s no safe place in the Gaza Strip, said U.N. deputy spokesman Farhan Haq. Speaking to reporters Thursday, he said frightened civilians are heading north to cities like Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah — both of which lack food, shelter and health care.

The U.N. World Food Program reports its main food warehouse for Gaza, which is in Rafah, is now inaccessible, Haq said, with only one bakery in the city still working: “Supplies of food and fuel are running out.”

The U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees, known as UNRWA, reported that its facilities have almost no fuel Thursday and were rationing what is left, Haq said. If no fuel arrives, some hospitals could shut off their generators in three days, he said.

The U.N. spokesman said no aid or fuel has entered Gaza in recent days from Rafah, after Israeli forces took control of the border crossing this week. Israel said it has reopened the Kerem Shalom crossing, and Haq said the U.N. thinks some aid is entering Gaza.

However, he said, both Israel and Hamas are required under international humanitarian law to ensure that aid can be delivered to people in need. Currently this is almost impossible because of the security situation, Haq said.

“We continue to engage with all involved on the resumption of the entry of goods, including fuel,” he said.

As a result of Israeli military activity in Rafah, the medical aid group Project HOPE said it closed its clinics and mobile medical points in Rafah on Thursday.

“Life in Rafah right now is a nightmare,” Project HOPE’s team leader in Gaza, Moses Kondowe, said in a statement. “There is bombing and shelling constantly, nearly every 10 minutes. Thousands of people are stuck here with nowhere to go. … The situation is unbearable.”

PATIENTS FORCED FROM A HOSPITAL IN RAFAH FIND SHELTER IN NEARBY MEDICAL CENTER, BUT DOCTORS SAY RESOURCES ARE LIMITED

KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip — Kidney dialysis patients who were evacuated from one of Rafah’s main hospitals have moved to the Nasser hospital in nearby Khan Younis.

Fighting in Rafah forced the exodus of patients Wednesday from Abu Youssef al-Najjar hospital. That facility was the last one in Gaza for dialysis and one of the main hospitals receiving wounded from Israeli airstrikes on Rafah in recent weeks.

Patients like Ibrahim Abu Hashem are relieved.

“We were very worried the day the Israelis entered, took control of the hospital, and we had to evacuate,” he said in an interview while undergoing dialysis. “But thank God, Nasser hospital prepared and set things up, and that eased our emotional well-being.”

However, Nasser hospital is in bad shape after Israeli forces raided the medical center in recent months hundreds of bodies were found buried outside the hospital.

Dr. Atef al-Hout, the hospital’s director says the dialysis unit was “completely burned down” during the raid and fighting, and a new one had to be set up quickly by repairing damaged and older machines. He said there’s currently 25 machines for some 600 patients.

“Is this enough? Absolutely not,” he said in his office. “Certainly, for 600 patients we would need at least 45 dialysis machines. But the conditions don’t allow us to have more.”

‘WHERE ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GO?’ PALESTINIANS FLEE RAFAH FOR OTHER PARTS OF GAZA AHEAD OF PROMISED ISRAELI OFFENSIVE

DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip — On foot, in vehicles or riding donkey carts loaded with belongings, a stream of displaced Palestinians fled Rafah in southern Gaza on Thursday for the relative safety of the territory’s center, as Israel threatens to expand its ground offensive in the south.

It’s an all-too-familiar scene for Palestinians who had sought safter in Rafah after escaping fighting elsewhere in Gaza. Families set up tent camps on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea near the central city of Deir al-Balah. Upon arrival, dozens rushed to collect water near a building for UNRWA, the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees. More wait in the heat.

“The situation is difficult and continues to worsen,” Wafaa Masarei said as she rested beside her children and their few belongings: boxes, bags of clothes, pots, mattresses, a plastic jug. Her two kids sought protection from the sun under a table and blankets.

Ahmad Abed, who has an 8-month-old daughter, says he’s fed up from constantly moving drags on. He feels there’s no safe place for his family, even in the schools being used as makeshift shelters.

“Where are we supposed to go? Where is the world, that is just watching us?” he said. “It’s like we’re sheep.”

UNRWA WILL CLOSE ITS JERUSALEM OFFICE AFTER ISRAELI PROTESTERS SET FIRE TO PERIMITER TWICE

JERUSALEM — The U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees is closing its Jerusalem compound after Israeli protesters twice set fire to its perimeter.

Philipe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of UNRWA, said no one was injured but that staff had to put the fires out themselves because firefighters and police were slow to arrive.

He shared video of Thursday’s protest, in which the crowd can be heard chanting “Burn the U.N.” in Hebrew. In a post on the platform X, Lazzarini called it an “outrageous development,” saying “once again, the lives of UN staff were at a serious risk.”

He said that in light of the “appalling incident” he had taken the decision to shut down the compound.

On Tuesday, protesters damaged the gate of the compound, prompting the U.N. to lodge a protest with Israeli authorities.

Israel has accused UNRWA, which is the largest provider of humanitarian aid to Gaza, of having links to Hamas and other Palestinian militants, some of whom allegedly took part in the Oct. 7 attack that triggered the war in Gaza.

UNRWA denies any links to such groups. It immediately fired the employees when it was informed about the allegations pertaining to Oct. 7 and launched an internal investigation.

An independent review last month found that UNRWA had submitted full lists of its thousands of staffers to Israel every year since 2011, without Israel expressing concern about any of them.

The review said the agency has “robust” procedures to uphold the U.N. principle of neutrality but cited gaps in implementation.

NETANYAHU VOWS TO ‘FIGHT WITH OUR FINGERNAILS’ AS U.S. SAYS IT WON’T SEND WEAPONS FOR RAFAH ASSAULT

JERUSALEM — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu minister said Thursday that his country will “stand alone” if it has to in its war against Hamas after President Joe Biden said the U.S. would not provide offensive weapons for Israel’s long-promised assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

“If we need to, we will fight with our fingernails,” he said. “But we have much more than fingernails.”

Netanyahu’s comments come amid a deepening crisis in relations with the United States.

Israel says that Rafah is Hamas’ last stronghold in Gaza, and Netanyahu has repeatedly vowed to invade the city despite widespread international opposition due to concerns over the more than 1 million Palestinian civilians huddled in the city.

Biden’s comments about providing weapons were the latest sign of steadily deteriorating relations between Israel and its closest and most important ally after seven months of Israel’s war against Hamas.

ISRAELI ACTIVISTS OPPOSED TO HUMANITARIAN AID FOR GAZA BLOCK MAJOR HIGHWAY

TEL AVIV, Israel — Israeli activists opposed to sending humanitarian aid to Gaza have blocked a major highway in southern Israel, snarling traffic and leading to at least a dozen arrests, according to a protest group leading the efforts.

Over the past week, activists with the Tzav 9 organization have blocked trucks that arrived from Jordan bound for Gaza.

“These trucks are taking food to Hamas, and Hamas are murderers, rapists and terrible, terrible people,” said Ruben Frankenburg, as he placed himself in front of a truck bound for Gaza near the Kerem Shalom crossing in southern Israel. He added that Israel was being “forced by the Americans to give them this food.”

Another protester claimed the humanitarian aid was allowing Hamas to continue to fight. “There’s no other place in the world that one side gives the supplies to the other side, it’s crazy, it’s nuts,” said protester Yonatan Godalis, as he stood blocking an 18-wheeler and holding an Israeli flag.

The protests have caused traffic jams across the country, including shutting down parts of the country’s main highways. On Thursday, activists also blocked the road near the town of Mitzpe Ramon, halting traffic up Israel’s iconic desert highway and a main artery toward the south and the Gaza Strip. The protests have caused delays and headaches for drivers but no aid has been halted from reaching the crossings, according to COGAT, the Israeli military branch responsible for handling the humanitarian aid.

ISRAEL RAIDS NAZARETH OFFICES OF AL JAZEERA

TEL AVIV — Israel raided the Nazareth offices of the Qatar-based Al Jazeera satellite news network, days after the government shuttered the network’s offices in Israel.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Communications said forces confiscated equipment from the office in northern Israel that had been used to transmit live broadcasts of Al Jazeera on Wednesday.

“Israel won’t let Hamas broadcast from here,” Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi wrote on X.

Al Jazeera’s headquarters in Doha, Qatar, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Israel ordered the local offices of Al Jazeera to close Sunday, escalating a long-running feud between the broadcaster and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard-line government as Doha-mediated cease-fire negotiations with Hamas hang in the balance.

Since the order, the broadcaster has moved many of its English-language service correspondents operating in Israel to Amman, Jordan. Others still operate from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The extraordinary order, which includes confiscating broadcast equipment, preventing the broadcast of the channel’s reports and blocking its websites, is believed to be the first time Israel has ever shuttered a foreign news outlet operating in the country.

FIRST SHIPMENT OF AID TO THE U.S.-BUILT FLOATING PIER IN GAZA LEAVES CYPRUS

NICOSIA, Cyprus — A shipment of humanitarian aid has left a port in Cyprus and is on its way to a U.S-built pier in Gaza, the first delivery to the newly built ramp, Cyprus’ foreign minister said Thursday.

The U.S. vessel, loaded with much-needed humanitarian assistance, departed from the Larnaca port with the aim of transferring as much aid to Gaza as possible through the maritime corridor, said Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos.

The trip comes about two months after U.S. President Joe Biden gave the order to build the large floating platform several miles (kilometers) off the Gaza coast that will be the launching pad for deliveries.

ISRAELI DRONE STRIKE ON CAR IN LEBANON KILLS 4, GROUP SAYS

BEIRUT — Lebanon’s Civil Defense paramedic group says an Israeli drone strike on a car in a Lebanese village near the border with Israel killed four people.

Hezbollah announced hours later that three of its fighters were killed Thursday adding that in retaliation for their death in the strike in the village of Bafliyeh it attacked Israeli military posts in Kfar Giladi, northern Israel, with explosive drones.

Hezbollah claimed in a statement that it struck an operations room and inflicted casualties among the troops.

Hezbollah started attacking Israeli army posts along the Lebanon-Israel border a day after the Israel-Hamas war broke out on Oct. 7.

Since then, more than 350 people have been killed in Lebanon, including 275 Hezbollah members and more than 70 civilians and non-combatants. In Israel, 15 soldiers and 10 civilians have been killed.

Foreign officials have been visiting Lebanon over the past month in attempts to bring calm to the border, but Hezbollah has repeatedly said it will not stop fighting until there is a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

ISRAEL’S NATIONAL SECURITY MINISTER IMPLIES THAT HAMAS LOVES BIDEN

TEL AVIV — Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir implied in a post on the social platform X that Hamas loves Biden, using a heart emoji a day after U.S. President Joe Biden said he would not supply offensive weapons that Israel could use to launch an all-out assault on Rafah .

Biden, in an interview with CNN on Wednesday, said the U.S. was still committed to Israel’s defense and would supply Iron Dome rocket interceptors and other defensive arms, but that if Israel goes into Rafah, “we’re not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells used.” There is widespread concern over the well-being of the more than 1 million civilians sheltering in Rafah.

Ben Gvir, who used a heart emoji in his tweet regarding Biden and Hamas, has pushed for a punishing military response and has threatened to leave the government if Israel does not carry out a wide-ranging military operation in Rafah. “Hamas’ exercises and games have only one answer: an immediate order to occupy Rafah!” he wrote on X on Monday.

ISRAELI AIRSTRIKE KILLS 8 PEOPLE, INCLUDING 4 CHILDREN

CAIRO — An Israeli airstrike on a residential building killed eight people including four children late Wednesday, according to hospital records. The strike hit a residential building in Tel al-Sultan in western Rafah.

Israel’s military took control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing early Tuesday after issuing evacuation orders for eastern parts of the city, home to some 100,000. It then sent tanks to seize the nearby Rafah crossing with Egypt, shutting it down.

Associated Press journalists heard sporadic explosions and gunfire in the area of the Rafah crossing overnight Tuesday, including two large blasts early Wednesday.

On Wednesday afternoon, hospital records showed at least 25 people were wounded when Israeli artillery fire struck part of central Rafah, an area that Israel did not tell Palestinians to evacuate ahead of its operation. The military had no immediate comment.

ISRAELI SOLDIER KILLED BY MORTAR LAUNCHED FROM LEBANON AS TENSIONS RISE

TEL AVIV — An Israeli soldier was killed by a mortar launched from Lebanon, as tensions between Israel and Lebanon continue to rise during the war in Gaza. The soldier was killed on Wednesday and the army announced the death on Thursday. It was the third fatality in a week in Israel on the northern border from launches from Lebanon.

The Israeli army said fighter jets struck Hezbollah military structures in southern Lebanon on Wednesday in response. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also toured Israel’s northern border on Wednesday and warned that a war with Hezbollah would have “a heavy cost for Israel and a catastrophic one for Hezbollah and Lebanon.”

He added that while Israel was open to a diplomatic solution on the northern border, the army was also preparing for a possible military operation to allow citizens to return to their homes. Tens of thousands of civilians have been evacuated from Israel and southern Lebanon since the war began.

A total of 15 soldiers and 10 civilians have been killed in Israel by Lebanese launches. In Lebanon, more than 370 people have been killed by Israeli strikes, including more than 70 civilians and non-combatants.

ISRAELI STRIKE HITS BUILDING IN DAMASCUS SUBURB, SYRIAN MEDIA SAY

DAMASCUS, Syria — Syrian state media say an Israeli strike on a building in a suburb of the capital Damascus caused damage but no casualties.

Iraq’s al-Nujaba Movement, which is backed by Iran, said one of its cultural centers in the Damascus area was struck and vowed a “forceful and effective” retaliation. Al-Nujaba is one of many Iran-backed groups that sent fighters to Syria over the past years to help President Bashar Assad’s forces during the country’s 13-year conflict.

State news agency SANA cited a military official as saying that Syrian air defenses shot down some of the Israeli missiles before they reached their targets early Thursday.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, said the strike targeted Iran-backed fighters in the southern Damascus suburb of Sayida Zeinab. It did not report any casualties.

There was no comment from Israel’s military on the strike. Israel rarely acknowledges such strikes, although it has carried out hundreds over the past years, mainly targeting Iran-backed fighters such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah group.

The strike was the second on Syria since an April 1 attack blamed on Israel blew up the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, killing seven people, including two Iranian generals.

Iran responded days later by launching hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel. Most were shot down, Israel said.

YEMEN’S HOUTHI REBELS CLAIM 2 ATTACKS IN GULF OF ADEN

Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Thursday claimed two missile attacks in the Gulf of Aden on two Panama-flagged container ships that caused no damage, while also saying they targeted a ship in the Indian Ocean in a previously unreported assault.

The claims by Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree come as the tempo of the rebel attacks have waned in recent weeks as they’ve been targeted by repeated airstrikes launched by a U.S.-led coalition warship in waterways crucial to international trade. The Houthis insist their assaults will continue as long as Israel’s war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip goes on.

Saree in a prerecorded statement claimed attacks on the MSC Diego and MSC Gina. The Joint Maritime Information Center, a U.S.-led coalition of nations operating in the Mideast, said those two missile attacks happened early Tuesday.

BIDEN SAYS U.S. WON’T SUPPLY WEAPONS FOR ISRAEL TO ATTACK RAFAH

President Joe Biden said Wednesday that he would not supply offensive weapons that Israel could use to launch an all-out assault on Rafah — the last major Hamas stronghold in Gaza — over concern for the well-being of the more than 1 million civilians sheltering there.

Biden, in an interview with CNN, said the U.S. was still committed to Israel’s defense and would supply Iron Dome rocket interceptors and other defensive arms, but that if Israel goes into Rafah, “we’re not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells used, that have been used.”

The interview marked Biden’s toughest public comments yet about the potential Israeli military operation and followed his decision to pause a shipment of heavy bombs to Israel last week over concerns that the U.S. ally was moving closer to an attack on Rafah despite public and private warnings from his administration.

U.N. IS NEGOTIATING WITH ISRAEL AND EGYPT TO RESUME FUEL SHIPMENTS INTO GAZA

UNITED NATIONS — The United Nations is engaged in intensive discussions with Israeli and Egyptian authorities to restart fuel shipments to Gaza as soon as possible in order keep providing humanitarian operations.

U.N. humanitarian staff in Gaza are rationing fuel to stretch what’s available for as long as possible, “but it is clear that it is a matter of hours, if not days, where we will have no more fuel,” U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters Wednesday

Between May 1 and May 5, a daily average of 48 trucks carrying more than 160,000 liters of fuel entered Gaza through the now-closed Rafah crossing with Egypt, Dujarric said.

The U.N. spokesman confirmed that nothing has entered Gaza from the Kerem Shalom crossing, which Israel said it reopened Wednesday, because fighting is still ongoing. With rockets falling and other military activities, there is an issue of safety of humanitarian personnel, he said.

A THIRD MASS GRAVE IS FOUND AT SHIFA HOSPITAL, GAZA’S HEALTH MINISTRY SAYS

JERUSALEM — Dozens of bodies were buried in a mass grave on the grounds of Shifa hospital in northern Gaza, where Israeli forces staged two major operations during the war, the Health Ministry in Gaza said Wednesday.

It is unclear who was buried in the grave or how they died. The Health Ministry says it was the third mass grave found at Shifa since the war began. A two-week Israeli raid in March left Gaza’s largest medical complex in ruins.

Mass graves have also been uncovered at other hospitals Israel raided . In some cases hospital officials said they had been dug purposely to bury the dead until it was safe to move the bodies to a final resting place.

Israel says it has nothing to do with the mass graves, claiming the people buried there either died in battle or were patients who died in the hospital. The United Nations has called for “a clear, transparent and credible investigation” of the mass graves.

CIA DIRECTOR IN ISRAEL AS MEDIATORS PUSH FOR A CEASE-FIRE

WASHINGTON -- A U.S. official says that CIA Director William Burns is in Israel as international mediators push for a cease-fire.

The official said Burns arrived on Wednesday and was meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss closed-door negotiations.

The official gave no details on the discussions. But Burns has been in the region meeting with Egyptian and Qatari officials in recent days. He had been scheduled to travel to Israel from Qatar earlier this week, but that meeting was postponed without explanation.

All three countries have been involved in months of talks aimed at halting the seven-month war between Israel and Hamas.

Hamas announced on Sunday that it had accepted an Egyptian-Qatari cease-fire plan. But Israel says the proposal does not meet its “core” demands.
