His big break came when he recorded the song Miserere for Zucchero. The recording was sent to the tenor Luciano Pavarotti, for whom the track was originally written, and Pavarotti encouraged Zucchero to use Bocelli for the song.

In the end, Bocelli and Pavarotti performed Miserere together, which became a European hit.

In 1994, Bocelli competed in the Sanremo Festival. That same year, he released his first album in Italy , Il Mare Calmo Della Sera .

He scored a major hit in Europe with Con Te Partiro . The song later became a popular duet with Sarah Brightman, under the title Time to Say Goodbye , which was included on his 1997 album, Romanza .

Over time, Andrea Bocelli recorded 17 solo studio albums of both pop and classical music, 3 greatest hits albums and 9 complete operas, selling over 90 million records worldwide.

His last album to date is Believe , released on November 13, 2020.

The Ancient Theater of Taormina is an ancient Greek theater built around the third century BC. With a diameter of 120 metres, the theater is the second largest of its kind in Sicily , after the one in Syracuse , and is frequently used for theatrical performances and concerts.

The Ancient Theater is located about 450 meters away from Porta Messina, the main entrance to the historical center of Taormina. Near Porta Messina, there is also a bus stop to the Taormina-Giardini railway station.

This summer, music enthusiasts from around the world will descend upon the picturesque hills of Tuscany for an unparalleled musical extravaganza. Three evenings are dedicated to commemorating the glittering career of iconic Tenor, Andrea Bocelli, alongside a stellar lineup of global artists.

The Teatro del Silenzio 2024 promises once-in-a-lifetime memories for the fortunateticket holders, further immortalized in a television special capturing the essence of this historic celebration and the mesmerizing performances from its star-studded cast.

Featuring an extraordinary roster of international artists and surprise guests, theseenchanting nights of music and nostalgia will unfold against the backdrop of the legendarysinger’s birthplace.

Drawing on the extraordinary success of past editions, City Sound & Events, in collaboration with Mercury Studios, Maverick, Almud, and Impact , proudly present what promises to be the most ambitious television and cinematic endeavor of Tuscany’srenowned open-air arena to date.

The cherished stage of the Teatro del Silenzio will serve as the focal point for the official 30th anniversary celebrations of Italy’s beloved tenor.

Andrea Bocelli has chosen his hometown, and specifically the Teatro del Silenzio (of which he serves as honorary president), to host a breathtaking production with an all-star cast sure to captivate the attention of the global media.

Recalling Central Park in 2011 when New York embraced Andrea Bocelli, The Teatro delSilenzio is poised to become a cultural epicenter.

For three unforgettable evenings, Lajatico will take center stage, nestled amidst the gentle hills of Tuscany, as we celebrate the landmark career of it’s favourite son, surrounded by contempories from the realms of pop and opera.

Echoing sentiments from “One Night in Central Park,” Andrea Bocelli fervently rejects the notion of a “challenge”: “I do not perceive it as such,” asserts Andrea Bocelli. “Challenges require adversaries, whereas I am blessed with a wealth of remarkable collaborators, including the audience, fellow artists, technicians, and organizers… Individuals who partake in this collective journey and whom I trust will cherish the memories, much like myself. Andrea Bocelli is an Italian Tenor who I became a big fan of from 1999 after winning Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. Sadly, he became blind aged 12 after a football was kicked at the back of his head during a game, causing a brain haemorrhage. Despite this life changing event, Andrea Bocelli went on to become now - the most gifted tenor in the world.

The first time I saw him live was at the BBC Proms in the Park in 2005 presented by Sir Terry Wogan. Now if you've never been to the Proms in Hyde Park, you need to imagine 60,000+ music fans waving their nations flags, eating picnics and drinking Pimms enjoying a great evening of music during British Summer Time. I was situated toward the back third of the park, so I could make out figures on the stage but not really faces. For the case of Andrea Bocelli that did not appear to matter.

As Andrea Bocelli took to the state singing "E lucevan le stelle"("And the stars were shining"), by Puccini the crowd were silenced in awe. His incredibly powerful voice penetrated the entire park, reverberating off Marble Arch and soaring down Edgeware Road into the many Lebanese restaurants and sheisha bars. The entire crowd including Sir Terry Wogan were completely blown away by his performance. I have not witnessed as voice as rich and powerful in my life and hope to one day, have this honour once more.

The concert on Dec. 6th in Chicago was beyond phenomenal and Mr. Bocelli and company were at the peak of their game. The man could sing the phone book and it would be spectacular. We were so appreciative of the fact that we could see him in our city live and in concert with the incredible Chicago Lyric Opera and Chorus no less. What a wonderful Holiday treat !! Andrea's concert in Zurich was really wonderful. I have seen him sing several times & I have to say this was one of the best experiences. Sometimes he looks very tired (not surprising considering his concert schedule) but on this occasion he seemed refreshed & sang superbly, a mixture of operatic arias & more popular songs from his CDs. The orchestra & chorus were first class. He thanked everyone for coming & was obviously pleased with the audience response which was a standing ovation. Bravo Andrea!!

The Concer was fenomenal, it was a sold out, and he was better than ever, it is like the time do not past throught him and he was grate with the public, at the end when he was leaving, he turn around three times, that meant he gave us three more songs and almost the four time but somebody over there got him. I myself will see him every time that he comes to Dallas. If I like it before now I am crazy about him,

I had the great honor of performing in the chorus when Andrea Bocelli came to the Amalie Arena in Tampa. His seemingly effortless performance is a testament to his dedication to his craft. It doesn't hurt that he is also blessed with a once-in-a-generation voice, which had many in tears by the time he hit the penultimate high note in "Nessun Dorma" for the final encore. All in all, a magnificent performer, and a total class act. I'll remember this concert for the rest of my life.

Andrea was at his best. The kids from Haiti Were super and adorable.

The choir, Orchestra, and guest artists just added to the performance.

I would have liked to have seen one more encore, especially with his son (the best guest ever).

My husband and I saw Andrea Bocelli on Sunday, February 16. I saw him 2 years ago by myself. My husband never did. So this was his first time.

We were not disappointed. I love his music, my husband likes it. But he thoroughly enjoyed the genre!

It was a great nite out for us. We will definitely do this again when Andrea comes back to Charlotte.

He puts on quite the show!

With good sits and everybody in a good mood i think the Concert went very well. My self was hoping to hear some more of his more known songs. I really just know 3 of then well enough to sing a long in my head. But i went home happyer then when i left. So i guess you could say it was a susscee of a concert.

TAMPA, FL – Today the record-breaking, award-winning, multi-platinum-selling Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli announced new US tour dates for February and May 2023, making a stop at Tampa’s AMALIE Arena – In Concert for Valentine’s on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. This evening of soaring arias, crossover hits and famed love songs in honor of Valentine’s season is presented by the Straz Center and features members of the Opera Tampa Chorus.

Every December since 2009, world famous tenor Andrea Bocelli goes on tour bringing holiday cheer to audiences all over North America.

This year, Bocelli will continue that yuletide trend once again when he performs 10 huge arena concerts all over North America from Nov. 29 through Dec. 17.

Andrea Bocelli Announces 2023 Tour With Stop at Wells Fargo Center on December 7

Today, Iconic Italian te nor Andrea Bocelli announced new US tour dates for November and December 2023. The new tour will stop at Wells Fargo Center on December 7 . Tickets for Bocelli’s stop in Philadelphia go on sale to the public Monday, April 24 at 10 a.m. on wellsfargocenterphilly.com . The tour will feature performances from Bocelli’s extensive repertoire, including music in honor of the Holiday Season, with selections from his recent #1 album A Family Christmas , his uplifting solo album Believe , as well as a selection of arias, his beloved crossover hits, and famed love songs.

Andrea’s US tours are sponsored by global investment fir m Stifel. What Is Andrea Bocelli’s 2024 Holiday Tour?

As per tradition, Bocelli will celebrate the holidays by playing a number of shows across the US in December. This year’s itinerary includes shows in San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Uncasville, New York, and Miami. Notably, Bocelli will headline two dates at Madison Square Garden on December 18th and 19th.

This year’s tour coincides with 30 years in music, as well as with his 65th birthday. He promises to perform music spanning his entire repertoire, including selections from his recent holiday album, A Family Christmas .

Bocelli is in the middle of a spring tour of North America, with upcoming shows scheduled in Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Toronto, Montreal, Indianapolis, and Detroit. Additionally, he’ll play shows in Charlotte and Highland, CA in late October / early November.

Andrea Bocelli Announces Holiday US Tour in 2024

O ne of the world’s most beloved Italian tenors just announced that he will embark on a US tour this holiday season! This short but sweet December tour will span numerous US cities, including New York, Miami, San Diego, Los Angeles, and more. The Los Angeles concert will also mark the first time that Andrea Bocelli has ever performed at the Kia Forum. There will be no opening acts for this tour.

The Andrea Bocelli 2024 Holiday Tour will start on December 4 in San Diego, California at Pechanga Arena. The final date will be December 22 in Miami, Florida at Kaseya Arena.

Ticketmaster will be the main platform for the holiday tour dates. A number of different presale events will begin on April 9 at 10:00 am CDT, including fan club, Ticketmaster, Spotify, and Citi cardmember presales.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 16 at 10:00 am local. A lot of tickets are going to sell out during the presale events.
