Corey Taylor Announces First 2023 U.S. Solo Tour Dates With Cherry Bombs
Corey Taylor is gradually working up to the eventual release of his second solo album and will get back on the road briefly in May on a quick run with support from the stunt/dance troupe Cherry Bombs , starring his wife Alicia Taylor .
On social media, Taylor announced the four-date jaunt an accompanied the news with the hashtag #CMF2, pointing at the anticipated followup to 2020's solo debut, CMFT . Earlier his year, he also shared 17 working titles of new songs , such as "All I Want Is Hate," "Starmate," "Breath of Fresh Smoke" and more.
With a festival appearance already booked at this year's Blue Ridge Rock Festival in early September, it appears the Slipknot frontman intends to place some special focus on his solo career in 2023.
Always one to balance multiple projects at once, Taylor is also positioned for another big year with Slipknot now that they've already released a brand new song " Bone Church ." It's the band's first piece of new music to come after their latest record, last year's The End, So Far and it's also their first release of any kind now that they are no longer under contract with Roadrunner Records. There's a wealth of 'Knot tour dates on the books, too.
Taylor's run with Cherry Bombs will span four shows from May 2 through May 2, with two gigs booked in Pennsylvania, one in Illinois and the last in Wisconsin.
See all of the tour dates directly below and look for tickets to go on sale on Feb. 17 at 10AM local time.

Seeing Corey Taylor solo live shortly after Slipknot’s bass player died a few years ago while in Baltimore will certainly be an experience I never forget. One of the most powerful heartbreaking experiences I have ever seen during a concert.
Everyone there could feel the emotion and the pain coming from him during the song “Snuff” and right after the song he slumped over his guitar and lost it, it was so powerful. The rest of his show was great too, so much emotion and heart goes into a song. Seeing him solo is such a departure from his other projects but being solo is where he truly shines and this performance was no exception.
The crowd fed off of his pain and went crazy for him after every song. Easily one of the best shows I have been to. Aside from Snuff he also played a Dio song “Holy Diver” which is a classic as well as a couple other covers. U2, Tom Petty and Alice in Chains. He of course played several songs from his other band Stone Sour as well. Corey is a massively talented musician across many genres and if you ever have the chance to see him you should, you will not leave disappointed.

Amazing night. One of the best ever, Corey is truly a brilliant entertainer, he combines his sense of humor with his musicianship, and makes for a hell of a night. Highly recommended, in my case, I'm assuming it's a one time only, cuz I made the trip to NYC, for the show. But it was worth it. Totally. You can even get someone that does not knows Corey's bands catalogue and get them to have a really funny night.
For the more informed about Corey's, it's a nice opportunity to get him to play "slower" songs, with a unique acoustic touch.
I had an amazing time seeing Corey Taylor [and friends] in Garden Grove. There was light rain throughout the performance at the outdoor amphitheater, but that didn't stop anyone from rocking out and having a great time. Corey had something funny and witty to say between each song, and he covered a wide variety of rock sub-genres. I would highly recommend him to anyone who enjoys rock music.
Was the biggest waste of time we went to see corey taylor play his songs not a bunch of trash copy songs if I could get my money back I would COREY YOU WASTED MY TIME

Following world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler ’s dominating win at The Masters for his second green jacket and third PGA Tour title in 2024, the top golfers head about 140 miles East to Hilton Head Island for the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town. Scheffler is right back on the tee as prohibitive betting favorite for a Signature Event at Harbour Town Golf Links. The tournament and $20 million purse drew an elite field for the second straight year, and note that this is a no cut event with all golfers playing 72 holes. The field includes just 69 players and all but two of the top-30 in the Official World Golf Rankings (Matsuyama and Hovland out).
Betting favorites and top players continue to take a bulk of the betting action when wagering to win, and bettors also include many of those players in other types of bets like top finishing position (top 5, 10, 20) and other prop bets like Round 1 birdies or better. Most players have an over/under of 4.5 for birdies or better with different odds. For example, FanDuel Ambassador and 2022 Heritage champion Jordan Spieth is -150 for under 4.5 birdies or better, and +105 for over . The 2023 Heritage winner of the plaid jacket who beat Spieth in a playoff was Matt Fitzpatrick , who is -140 for under 4.5 birdies or better and +100 for over . The two tournament favorites, Scottie Scheffler is -175 to go over 4.5 birdies or better in Round 1 while Rory McIlroy is -140 over. Patrick Cantlay also has four top-3 finishes in six starts at Harbour Town plus a T7. He’s -115 to make more than 4.5 birdies in Round 1 and an over/under score of 68.5 (-140 over ) at FanDuel Sportsbook .
Harbour Town Golf Links
A players favorite on the Pete Dye design, Harbour Town Golf Links is a Par 71 tree-lined track that plays to 7,213 yards for the RBC Heritage event. Experience helps as players navigate a claustrophotic course where water is in play on all 18 holes. Golfers shape shots into tiny greens that average 3,700 square feet - second smallest on the PGA Tour. The perennial ryegrass rough is down from last year’s cut of 2.5 inches.
The doglegs around the trees and penalty areas don’t allow for the big hitters to separate themselves off the tee, as players often hit to similar target areas with more approach shots from 175 yards range.
Scottie Scheffler finished T11 here last year in his tournament debut shooting 68-65 before falling over the weekend with 69-70. Scheffler commented in the press room Tuesday before the 2024 event about the difference in coming from Augusta National to a completely different golf course here at Harbour Town.

The fallout show appears to have given fallout 4 a canon ending, goldman sachs issues stark bitcoin halving price warning.
“Yeah, it's very different. I think sometimes when you're coming from Augusta — we were talking about it today, the green at No. 14 just looked so small. I'm sitting there with a 6-iron looking at this small green, and Augusta everything is really big at times and then you come here and everything is really, really small it seems like,” Scheffler said.
Harbour Town Golf Links - Hole By Hole
“It's a great golf course, and it's a lot of fun to play. I think it's very interesting,” Scheffler added. “I think for some people, distance debate type people if they're ever looking at golf course design and how to combat people only trying to hit the ball really far, they need to come here and do a case study on this golf course because it's really, really good. You've got to curve the ball both directions, and you have to control your distance. You have to control where the golf ball is going. It's not just a place where you can go bomb it.”

Despite Jordan Spieth winning here in a playoff in 2022 and finishing runner-up last year in a playoff, the 30-year-old is not likely to find as much success this week with his game in a poor place. Spieth has missed the cut in three of his last four events including in The Players Championship which requires precision iron play. Spieth has lost strokes Tee-to-Green in four of his last five tournaments and his Approach stats rank outside the top-100 over his last 24 rounds.
Meanwhile, Zalatoris has continued his elite ball striking while also averaging 4+ strokes on the field Tee to-Green over his last five events. That includes a T9 last week at The Masters, T4 at the Arnold Palmer Inviational and T2 at The Genesis Invitational .

Here’s how much money every player made at the 2024 Masters
Scottie Scheffler won a second green jacket — and a really big check.
Getty Images
The 2024 Masters purse has increased significantly over the years.
Just three years ago, in 2021, the purse was set at $11.5 million. On year later, the 2022 Masters purse increased to $15 million. And last year, the 2023 Masters purse jumped yet again to a whopping total of $18 million.
And this year, the purse increased yet again , adding an additional $2 million to the pot reach an eye-popping total purse of $20 million , matching the payout at last year’s U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club. (The Players championship remains the richest purse in golf at a total of $25 million.)
This year’s Masters champion will surpass the payout received by 2023 champion, Jon Rahm, by an impressive $360,000, with a $3.6 million total payday. The runner-up will receive a cool $2.16 million, and third place will clear seven figures too, with a payout of $1.36 million.
Even the players who missed the cut (of which there were 29) receive a payout of $10,000 each — but that’s for the professionals only. So how much did the rest of the players in the field come away with this year? You can find a complete list of the 2024 Masters payouts for each player below.

2024 Masters prize money, purse: Payouts, winnings for Scottie Scheffler, each golfer from $20 million pool
More than history and a green jacket were on the line at augusta national on sunday.
Plenty of green was up for grabs at the 2024 Masters on Sunday -- not only in the form of the famed jacket awarded to the winner of this year's tournament but also in regards to the prize money being paid out from a record-setting pool. Augusta National Golf Club announced that the 2024 Masters would have a total purse of $20 million, marking a new tournament high by $2 million and the largest payout awarded to players at one of the nation's most pristine venues.
Scottie Scheffler was the greatest beneficiary of that increased purse, capturing the $3.6 million winner's share by capturing his second Masters championship in three years . Finishing 11 under with a 4-under 68 capping a tremendous tournament, Scheffler became the fourth-youngest golfer to win two green jackets and the 10th to win two in a three-year span. The $3.6 million prize is $360,000 more than 2023 champion Jon Rahm earned a year ago.
Runner-up Ludvig Åberg achieved quite a payday in his first career major championship. Pressing Scheffler down the stretch, the young Swede scored $2.16 million for second place, a larger sum than either Danny Willett (2016) or Jordan Spieth (2015) earned for winning the green jacket.
Scheffler and Åberg were not the only players set to receive significant green by week's end. In fact, the top three were set to receive seven-figure paydays, except Collin Morikawa struggled down the stretch and entered into a three-way tie with Max Homa and Tommy Fleetwood. Morikawa lost $320,000 by bogeying the last, though he increased the take-home of Homa and Fleetwood with the trio each taking home $1.04 million. This marked the first time that the Masters had five players bring home $1 million or more.
Those among the top 11 were set to see at least $500,000 deposited into their bank accounts, and the handsome payouts trickled down the leaderboard with every golfer inside the top 36 leaving Augusta National with six figures.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Third-round tee times have been released for the Masters. Max Homa and Bryson DeChambeau will play in Saturday’s final group at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Scottie Scheffler, who’s tied for the lead with Homa and DeChambeau, will tee off 10 minutes earlier alongside Nicolai Højgaard, the Dane who was the youngest player in last year’s Ryder Cup and closed 2023 by winning the DP World Tour Championship. Scheffler is seeking his second Masters win in the last three years. He recently won his second consecutive PLAYERS Championship.
Cameron Davis, a member of the 2022 International Presidents Cup Team, will tee off alongside Collin Morikawa in the third-to-last group. They’ll be preceded by Ludvig Åberg and Matthieu Pavon, the Frenchman who won this year’s Farmers Insurance Open.
Other notable groups include:
- Tiger Woods, Tyrrell Hatton (12:45 p.m. Eastern). The five-time Masters champion Woods has set the record with his 24th consecutive made cut at Augusta National, and he now seeks a climb up the leaderboard for a chance to match Jack Nicklaus' record six green jackets come Sunday. Woods trails the lead by seven strokes into Saturday.
- Patrick Cantlay, Neal Shipley (a) (12:15 p.m.) Ohio State's Shipley has secured low amateur honors as the only of five amateurs in the field to make the cut. He'll play alongside world No. 7 Cantlay, who is still seeking his first major title. Cantlay is eight off the lead, with Shipley nine back.
- Akshay Bhatia, Shane Lowry (12:05 p.m.) Fresh off a victory at last week's Valero Texas Open that secured his first Masters berth, Bhatia kept the good times rolling with rounds of 72-75 to make the cut with three strokes to spare. He'll play alongside a popular Irishman in Lowry, also nine off the lead into the weekend.
- Sahith Theegala, Phil Mickelson (11:25 a.m.). Perhaps two of golf's most creative shotmakers and California natives, both enter the weekend at 4-over 146, trailing the lead by 10 strokes. Theegala finished ninth last year in his Masters debut; Mickelson is a three-time Masters champion.
- Joaquin Niemann, Min Woo Lee (11:05 a.m.). The effervescent Lee has quickly become one of the game's more colorful characters, and he carded 74-74 to make the cut despite a broken finger that he suffered in a gym accident less than two weeks ago. Lee and Niemann both trail the lead by 10 into Saturday.
- Rory McIlroy, Camilo Villegas (10:55 a.m.). Many eyes will be on McIlroy early Saturday, which he'll begin 10 strokes back, as he seeks to make a heroic run toward his first green jacket, which would complete the career Grand Slam. He'll play alongside a popular Colombian in Villegas, who won last fall's Butterfield Bermuda Championship to earn his first Masters berth since 2015.

SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor kicked off his U.S. solo tour last night (Friday, August 25) at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado. Fan-filmed video of the concert can be seen below (courtesy of the Rock & Metal From The Front Row YouTube channel).
Corey 's setlist was as follows (according to Setlist.fm ):
01. Post Traumatic Blues 02. Tumult (STONE SOUR song) 03. Black Eyes Blue 04. We Are The Rest 05. Song #3 (STONE SOUR song) 06. Beyond 07. Before I Forget (SLIPKNOT song) 08. SpongeBob SquarePants Theme (PAINTY THE PIRATE & KIDS cover) 09. Snuff (SLIPKNOT song) 10. Absolute Zero (STONE SOUR song) 11. Talk Sick 12. Bother (STONE SOUR song) 13. Through Glass (STONE SOUR song)
14. Duality (SLIPKNOT song) 15. Ace Of Spades (MOTÖRHEAD cover)
Taylor 's 2023 tour features special guests WARGASM , OXYMORRONS and LUNA AURA on select dates. Produced by Live Nation , the 28-city trek will make stops across the U.S in Detroit, Orlando, Dallas and more before the final headline show in Los Angeles at The Wiltern on October 5.
Corey is touring in support of his sophomore solo studio album, "CMF2" , which will be released on September 15.
"CMF2" , Taylor 's first album for BMG and the first on his own label imprint, Decibel Cooper Recordings , was produced by Jay Ruston ( ANTHRAX , STEEL PANTHER , AMON AMARTH ),who also helmed STONE SOUR 's 2017 LP "Hydrograd" as well as 2020's "CMFT" .
"Together we have great ideas, great energy, and are quick to try everything," Taylor says of his studio collaborator. "We're not afraid to tell each other if it's a good idea, or also a bad one; we have that kind of trust. It's rad."
Throughout "CMF2" , Taylor sings, plays lead and rhythm guitar, piano, and mandolin.
The 13-track opus packs the energy, experimentation, and forthrightness that's defined a career which has seen him sell more than 12 million albums with his Grammy -winning band SLIPKNOT and several million with chart-toppers STONE SOUR .
In a recent interview with Tommy Carroll of the WGRD 97.9 radio station, Taylor was asked to back up his previous claim that "CMF2" will be "the best rock album of this year and the next." He said: "Dude, this album's got everything, man. I mean, it doesn't sound like everything else, which apparently is contagious in this industry. It's not produced like everything else. It feels alive. The songs are incredible. The production, the performances… I mean, this album chews up the first album and spits it out. It's probably one of the best things that I've ever done, and I'm really, really proud of it, man. I'm proud of the work that me and [producer] Jay [ Ruston ] did. And people are going to… Even if it is a slow burner out of the gate, people are gonna remember this album."
Taylor began tracking the follow-up to "CMFT" LP in early January at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada with Ruston . Joining Corey in the studio was the rest of his solo band — bassist Eliot Lorango , drummer Dustin Robert , along with guitarists Christian Martucci and Zach Throne .
Twenty-six songs were recorded for "CMF2" , including "Beyond" and "Post Traumatic Blues" .
The official video for "Beyond" , as premiered by Rolling Stone , was shot at a remote location within California's Mojave Desert. Captured through the lens of director Dale "Rage" Resteghini ( HATEBREED , FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH , TRIVIUM ),the video finds Taylor trudging around the desert as a musing Uncle Sam intermingling with members of the band and the CHERRY BOMBS , the all-girl dance group featuring Taylor 's wife Alicia Taylor , all the while being surrounded by different versions of himself from through the years — before culminating as a live performance for a mass of fans in the round.
The song "Beyond" harkens back to 2006 in some shape or form. Taylor knew the song was special, but never found the time to bring the tune to its potential.
"CMFT" featured the No. 1 Billboard mainstream rock single "Black Eyes Blue" and streaming sensation "CMFT Must Be Stopped" (feat. Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie ). The LP hit No. 6 on Billboard 's U.S. Top Rock Albums chart.
