The Delta Saints blow me away every time I see them. There are few bands who can match their timing, skill and presence on stage. Every friend I've ever brought to their show dropped their jaws after the first song.

Amazing night with the Delta Saints. Didn't know this band until about a week before the concert and they really swept me off my feet live. Crazy sound, crazy vibes - they'll find me again at one of their shows.

What a great show and performance. Absolutely love the concert, the songs and your amazing drums and bass and voice!

Maybe I will leave a 5* if 'Liar' was on the track list. Love you, guys!

Awesome concert by these Guys! Though the concert wasnt sold out and fucking warm the Band gave everything and played with a lot emphasis. Mike to See Thema anytime they visit Germany again!

Need to return to the Bottleneck. I attribute the acoustics to the muddled sound. I must be getting old as I enjoy their earlier songs more. Even these songs were not up to their standards.

The Delta Saints

Voodoo is rising from the New Music City. Not the Nashville of its country past, but a city awash in fresh talent fed by decades of tradition; dry hearts fueling the furnace of venues that always beg to be stoked. Leading the way are The Delta Saints. Since 2007, The Delta Saints have brought feet to floors worldwide with songs like “Bird Called Angola”, “Death Letter Jubilee”, and their standout style of Psychedelic Voodoo Rock and Roll. In 2014 they sold out shows in six countries. Toured 50 dates with Blackberry Smoke. Played Summerfest and the Grolsch Blues Festival, among others. Released both Drink it Slow EP and a live album recorded on back-to-back sell-out nights at the acclaimed Exit/In.

Now The Delta Saints are releasing their most ambitious record to date in 2015: Bones. Recorded at Sputnik Sound Studio in Nashville with producer and Third Man Records alum Ed Spear (fresh from contributing to more than 200 recordings for artists like The White Stripes, The Shins, Brooke Waggoner, Kingswood & Tinariwen), Bones is the sound of a new beginning for the band. It’s also their first album with keyboardist Nate Kremer replacing harmonica.

Kremer became a fixture of the line-up after joining the band on a European tour with only two weeks notice. He learned the band’s songs while playing them on-stage in Spain, and soon became a catalyst for the band to expand their sound upward and out of definition, bringing forth psychedelic influences that have long been bubbling beneath the surface. In their own words, “There are still huge drum and bass parts. There are still massive distorted guitar solos. Ben Ringel still screams his ass off. But now there’s a whole other dimension of sounds and feelings.”

That new dimension is present from the first track, “Sometimes I Worry”. With the end of the opening tremolo and trashcan jangle, the Saints lock into an acetylene groove that shows renewed vigor and a refined sound. Ringel’s singing is smooth and surprising as always, capable of crooning through the verses but then thundering at a moment’s notice. Now too is the rest of the band. They’ve purified their tracks. Purged them of everything unnecessary, clearing room for bigger riffs and bolder expressions, their rock and roll roots billowing into a hallucinatory haze.

Ben Azzi and Dylan Fitch make the title track “Bones” ripple and roil like black water, backed by Kremer’s haunting hoodoo organ. “Heavy Hammer” is instantly recognizable for its classic Saints swagger and David Supica’s funk-laced bass lines. But these tracks now stand out alongside ones like the celestial, sparse “Butte La Rose”, which is lobbed into the line-up like a heartfelt hand-grenade. Along with the slithering “Zydeco”, it holds not just some of the most psychedelic moments of the record, but some of the most impactful too. By the time the last notes fade, Bones is more than an album for The Delta Saints. It is a sign of the band boldly stepping forward from the crowd and refusing to be defined by the past. Rattling their would-be chains against the old cell bars. Singing to whoever will listen that there are far greater things yet to come.

Ben Ringel (vocals/dobro), Dylan Fitch (guitar), David Supica (bass), and Ben Azzi (drums) each moved to Nashville for college in 2007 and first found common ground as old-world-loving, good-bourbon-swilling musicians. As the searing harmonica and howling vocals of their live show began garnering notoriety, The Saints rode their roots rock wave right into the studio. On the heels of 2009’s Pray On EP and 2010’s follow-up A Bird Called Angola, the band toured tirelessly, playing more than 150 shows a year, including a slot at Arkansas’ Wakarusa Festival and two summers headlining in Europe during which they performed on the long-running, renowned German TV show Rockpalast.  The title track is by far the most magnetic on the album. There’s something eerie about its cacophonous Orleans-inspired chorus, the warm buzz of harmonica, the tinny trumpet whine, and the way one can't help but be swept away by the utterly irreverent revelry. “I love songs where sonically you get one emotion from it, and then you look at the lyrics and it's not at all what you expected,” Ringel says of the song’s musical inspiration. “And everybody has certain emotions that they're not proud of. The idea that you can be glad about somebody’s ultimate demise… it’s such a negative thing, but everybody feels something a little like that.”

Shaking up a mixture of roots rock, vintage blues, and swampy Bayou boogie, the Delta Saints are a Nashville-based five-piece whose spicy and eclectic sound has earned them a loyal following at home and abroad. Formed in 2007, the Delta Saints began playing Nashville clubs, and in 2009, they released an EP, Pray On. 2010 brought another EP, A Bird Called Angola, and the group's touring expanded from North America to Europe, where they soon gained a loyal following. In 2011, a German label released the two EPs as one album, simply titled The Delta Saints. By 2013, the band released their first proper album, Death Letter Jubilee. Delta Saints confirm UK tour

The Delta Saints will tour the UK in June to support 2nd album Bones

The Delta Saints have confirmed a UK tour for June, in support of second album Bones.

The Nashville outfit decided on a risky approach to studio sessions, by writing the tracks as they recorded instead of preparing them in advance.

Frontman Ben Ringel explains: “We got to the point where what we were recording and playing had veered from what we were listening to and loving on our turntables, which can lead to discontent.”

Bassist David Supica adds: “It was incredible to be able to write a song on the spot and immediately hear what it sounded like. Still, it was absolutely terrifying to sit in the studio watching the clock tick and waiting for a song to come out.

“This record was made out of both necessity and desire. We needed to be fulfilled and surprised by music again, and we also needed to fulfil that love of writing and recording again.”

Bones was released last year via Loud & Proud Records.

Ordinary hop-on-hop-off bus tickets are entitled to group savings. Attractions, pass items and combo tickets aren't.

Due the nature of this type of tour and varying demand, group travellers should be aware that there is no guarantee that the group will be able to travel altogether as the available seats vary from stop to stop and depends on demand each day. The group may need to split up and/or wait for the next bus(s).

As, we cannot guarantee that the group shall be able to travel together as one group, therefore we will reduce the group size down to 4-5 smaller groups per ticket (depending upon group size).
