ED SHEERAN ANNOUNCES 2023 NORTH AMERICAN STADIUM TOUR - SATURDAY, AUGUST 12 AT U.S. BANK STADIUM

Monday | oct. 3 , 2022.

ED SHEERAN ANNOUNCES

NORTH AMERICAN LEG OF

 “+ - = ÷ x TOUR”

(PRONOUNCED “THE MATHEMATICS TOUR”)

SATURDAY, AUGUST 12 AT U.S. BANK STADIUM

FIRST STATESIDE TREK IN NEARLY FIVE YEARS

GENERAL ON-SALE STARTS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14TH AT 10AM CT

Multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning, global superstar Ed Sheeran has announced details for the North American leg of his “+ - = ÷ x Tour” (pronounced “The Mathematics Tour”), hitting stadiums across the continent for the first time since his history-making “Divide Tour” in 2018, which officially became the most-attended and highest-grossing tour of all time by its completion.  Main support on a majority of the dates comes from multi-platinum artist Khalid (May 6th-September 2nd) with rapper/singer-songwriter Russ rounding out the tour (September 9th-23rd); Dylan, Cat Burns, Maisie Peters, and Rosa Linn alternate as first of three. Sheeran recently wrapped the UK/European leg of the “+ - = ÷ x Tour,” performing in front of over 3 million people in 6 months and highlighted by a five-night stand at London’s Wembley Stadium.

To herald the news of his upcoming tour, Sheeran is set to make a pair of high profile, national television appearances.  The acclaimed singer-songwriter has a very special performance planned for CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on October 13th, followed by ABC’s “Good Morning America” on October 14th.

“+ - = ÷ x Tour” is the first major trek to support “=,” Sheeran’s latest full length album, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 upon its 2021 release, becoming his fourth consecutive album to top the chart.  The fourth installment of Sheeran’s symbol album series, “=” is highlighted by its GRAMMY®-nominated lead single “Bad Habits,” which was up for “Song of the Year” at the 64th Annual GRAMMY® Awards earlier this year, and its follow-up smash “Shivers.”

John Mayer, Little Big Town to open for Ed Sheeran tour after Khalid car accident

ed sheeran tour opener times

John Mayer and Little Big Town are replacing former opening act Khalid at Ed Sheeran's stadium shows in Massachusetts this weekend on the Mathematics Tour , Gillette Stadium has confirmed.

Khalid was in a car accident recently, Sheeran told fans at a DC concert on June 24. On Friday, Gillette Stadium announced via Twitter that John Mayer will be opening for the "Shape of You" singer at his Friday show in Massachusetts, and Little Big Town will open for him on Saturday.

USA TODAY has reached out to Khalid's rep for comment.

Last weekend, Sheeran ended up doing his own opening set after Khalid's accident.

"DC, I was my own opening act this weekend and it was so fun to do," Sheeran wrote on Instagram after the show. "Hope  @thegr8khalid  is recovering and is okay."

Sheeran is famously close friends with Taylor Swift, and Swifties have already begun sharing their thoughts on Sheeran's choice of Mayer as an opener. Several are highlighting the fact that Swift's album "Speak Now," which includes the track "Dear John" widely rumored to be a takedown of Mayer, is set to be released on July 7.

"I wonder how much he'll get booed," one Twitter user wrote on Friday.

Another commented that they were "laughing at the fact that John Mayer has been reduced to an opening act while Taylor is selling out stadiums."

Khalid was announced as Sheeran's opener back in October.

"So excited to join my bro Ed Sheeran on tour! This will be my first time performing on a stadium run, and I’m extremely happy to be doing it with (Ed Sheeran). can’t wait to see and perform for all of you beautiful people (pun intended hahaha)," he wrote on Instagram , referencing the Brit's famous song on which Khalid is featured

Recent tour reviews

After a 4.5hr drive to see the show we weren’t disappointed!

Lewis Capaldi was first up and as funny and great as ever. Had the crowd laughing.

The Darkness were not my thing but they engaged with one particular guy called “Rick” in the crowd, who also sang his heart out for an appreciative audience.

The main man Ed appeared on stage around 8.30pm with a huge smile on his face, to an immense welcome from the Ipswich crowd, he was born not too far away, so was nice to see him finish this huge 2 year world tour at home.

Also he gave hundreds of free tickets to the pupils of the school he attended when he lived there.

His vocals were simply incredible, loud, strong, smooth and steamy, just beautiful !!

Screen graphics and timings were perfect too.

His guitar playing was awesome to watch and I have no idea how he concentrates on so many things at once with the loop, that is pure talent and the build up and sound in some songs ie Eraser, Bloodstream and the awesome You need me,I don’t need you gave me goosebumps.

Ed was joined for Galway Girl by Beoga which was brilliant.

Special guest Stormzy for “Shape of You” was the icing on the cake and I’m so pleased I bought the tickets last year, they were worth every penny.

Only complaint was the rude and miserable guy behind the official merch counter!! Spending £50 on a hoodie for my daughter meant I had to save for it and it would have been nice to have had a “hello” a “thank-you” or any kind of a smile!!!

Luckily the bar staff were friendly, smiley and helpful as were the local people.

Would 100% recommend ED SHEERAN as someone to see live, he is INCREDIBLE.

Let me just start off by saying Ed Sheeran is an amazing performer and speaker. He is comedic and doesn't require thousands of lights and a massive stage to impress thousands. He stayed interactive with the crowd very well. This is my 3rd concert ever and it was both the best and worst I have ever.

Ed Sheeran did amazing, he isn't the issue. As people know in concerts you stand and dance to most songs and sit (under circumstances) when ballads are playing or the performer is speaking. So- I was standing during one of Ed Sheeran's many sings along/dancing songs. I am a 6 foot tall 13 years old there for my birthday. In the area, I was in many people asked me to sit while he talked which I happily obliged to then learning the rules.

It was all fine until one man yelled in a very rude/angry voice yelled at me (during a dancing song) "SIT DOWN IDIOT IN THE BLACK HAT." Which at the very moment I didn't recognize as myself until my father went to lash back (as any protective super concert dad would do). This is something I had never experienced. So for the rest of the concert, I sat having an emotional/mental breakdown.

I'm not sure if it was the music or the people that made me cry so much. This was an experience I will learn from. Unfortunately, it is (probably) because Ed Sheeran reins in a large age group as an audience. This means sometimes people will be cranky, rude, or just plain snarky.

I understand if someone handicapped asked me to sit because they couldn't stand. But this man that yelled at me was about 50 or younger. I hope he ended up enjoying his concert because by halfway through my whole 6' or taller family stood and danced. He sat and everyone around him was asking him to join.

Sorry for my rant. Ed Sheeran is an amazing performer. I just thought you should know that people that (I know) will be everywhere (and we cant do much about them). But it was rude.

Great show! I bought my wife and I tickets as a gift for her (she was a huge Ed Sheeran fan even before he was famous) and we had a great time. My wife had never been to the venue, and while I had been to shows at Consol Enery Center before this was the first show I saw there since it became PPG Paints Arena. Everything about the production and performances (lights, audio, visuals, crew, musicians etc) went off with nary a hitch and was executed in a very timely manner. Props to all involved.

James Blunt opened, and like many people there (as he joked) I only knew one of his songs: "You're Beautiful". He was funny, charismatic, a good showman, and a good sport. He put on a high quality emotion filled performance, and despite his music being on the sadder side still managed to pump everyone up for Ed Sheeran. "Don't Give Me Those Eyes" was a highlight. He hung out in the Captain Morgan lounge after his performance and invited anyone interested to come hang with him. I came in not really knowing who he was and left checking out his latest music and regretting not grabbing a beer with him.

Than Ed came out (my wife had a pinch me I'm dreaming moment). He was noticeably quieter and a bit more reserved than Blunt when addressing the audience, but quickly dove in. I was always aware Ed was a talented solo artist, but you really appreciate his talent on a different level when you actually hear him perform outside of a studio live with just him and a guitar. Most of his songs were studio quality. A few songs dipped in quality but for charming and understandable reasons like audience involvement and impressive sped-up improv (i.e. the "Don't" and "New Man" mashup). He played nearly all the songs my wife and I were looking for ("Perfect", "A-Team", "Galway Girl", "Nancy Mulligan", "Thinking Out Loud", etc.). Since this was the "Divide" tour he played almost every song off that album (but not all: no "Barcelona", "Bibia be ye ye", etc.) He also played a lot of his older songs, including an audience request for "Cold Coffee" (he stated it was the first time he performed it live since 2010-2011). I also liked how he put on a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey during his closing song "You Need Me and I Don't Need You".

TLDR it was one of the best shows I have seen.

Ed Sheeran sings and plays guitar onstage.

Ed Sheeran is digging into the archives.

The popular singer-songwriter just announced a tenth-anniversary celebration of his sophomore album “X” at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Wednesday, May 22.

“10th anniversary of Multiply (aka ‘X’) this year, which feels wild but also a lot has happened in that 10 years. This album was made from 2011 – 2014 and spanned my whole personal life through that time, which was a mad time,” Sheeran shared on Instagram .

“Going from playing pubs and clubs to selling arenas in those years, falling in and out of love, traveling all round the world, working with some of the best producers in the world, it was a real rollercoaster, and it’s been amazing to revisit all the memories. Can’t wait to experience the multiply show with you, and remember some amazing moments over this summer together.”

For those that can’t recall “X’s” track list off the top of their heads, the album included smash singles “Sing,” “Don’t,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “Bloodstream” and “Photograph.”

Can’t wait to see Sheeran pay tribute to “X” live?

Fans can now purchase tickets for the one-off Barclays Center gig on sites like Vivid Seats ; the official on-sale is Monday, May 6.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Ed Sheeran has shared more details around the last-minute cancellation of his gig in the US, saying he's "gutted" but is "not gonna risk the safety of my fans for anything".

The Shape Of You star let fans know the show was off shortly before his performance was due to start at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday.

His initial post on Instagram at around 2am UK time (6pm local time) had blamed "challenges encountered during the load in".

Sharing more details with his 45 million Instagram followers on Sunday, Sheeran reposted a snippet of an article claiming there was a "flooring problem" in the venue.

It said that when the crew were bringing in their equipment ahead of the soundcheck, "rubber tiling had become unstuck - causing two tall towers to slip overnight by about a foot each".

The article also reported that despite tearing down, re-building and reinforcing them, "both towers were still found to be shifting", leading to the late cancellation of the show.

The piece also praised the singer and his team, saying: "Ed and his crew battled for 24 hours to salvage the show."

Giving his own "context" on the cancellation, Sheeran wrote in his message alongside the extract: "It was a safety issue, and we really tried to do the best we could to make the show happen but I'm not gonna risk the safety of my fans for anything.

"I really am gutted, this was very much out of my control but I do take full responsibility for everyone that was put out from the cancellation."

He also apologised for the sudden nature of the cancellation, adding: "Nothing will take away from the effort people went to to get to Vegas though and I'm sorry it wasn't communicated sooner to the people waiting outside.

"We really thought the show was going to happen up until the very last moment but it just couldn't for safety reasons."

The stadium in Nevada, which is the home NFL team Las Vegas Raiders, is a 65,000-seat venue.

Sheeran had been due to play alongside support acts, US rapper Russ and English singer-songwriter Maisie Peters.

The show has now been postponed until Saturday 28 October.

Sheeran has previously cancelled gigs in Hong Kong due to severe weather conditions in 2019 and in St Louis, Missouri, amid protests in 2017.

No one rocks like The Rolling Stones: Mick Jagger, band thrill on Hackney Diamonds Tour

H OUSTON − It’s not only stunning, but it's somewhat miraculous that more than 60 years after their first tour, the Rolling Stones are still filling stadiums.

It’s even more head-spinning to realize that along with their treasured hits, the Rolling Stones are enhancing their set list with a trio of songs from last year’s well-received “Hackney Diamonds” – their first album of original material in 18 years and the impetus for this 16-city tour.

We’d call it a victory lap, but frontman Mick Jagger is better suited for marathons.

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

At the kickoff Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston, the core triumvirate of Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood – along with their supporting cast of exceptional musicians and singers – hit the massive stage to the sounds of Richards’ slashing out the riff of, fittingly, “Start Me Up.”

Jagger, the nimble CEO of Stones Inc., peacocked in a silver shimmering jacket, his elastic legs a mere pedestal for his rotating torso.

Richards, still owning his disheveled pirate look with a knit cap and multicolored scarf dangling from his hip, and Wood, grinning continuously and occasionally scampering down the lengthy catwalk, retained their roles as faithful consiglieres.

There isn’t a patch of smooth facial skin among them (Jagger and Richards are 80 and Wood is 76). But with the energy to plow through an 18-song, two-hour set – yes, shorter than previous Stones shows, but still fulfilling – no one is looking to crown them pageant winners.

While the band needed a couple of songs to fully find their groove – the striding cadence of a reworked “Get Off Of My Cloud” and a ramshackle “Rocks Off” felt curious rather than robust – Jagger compensated with his riveting presence and still-supple vocals.

Along with the “Hackney Diamonds” songs plucked for their major live debuts (the band played a few of the new tracks at an intimate New York club gig in October ), including the feisty “ Angry ” and encore of gospelized “ Sweet Sounds of Heaven ,” the 1966 tune “ Out of Time ” also received its U.S. debut. The band revived it last year during some performances for the overseas Sixty tour.

“I don’t think you really knew it, but you got to know it,” Jagger said with a smile after leading the nearly full stadium through the arm-waving chorus.

As typical for a Rolling Stones production, the stage ran the width of the stadium, blanketed with screens beaming images of the band with magnificent clarity. Close-ups of drummer Steve Jordan, who assumed rhythm duties after the death of original drummer Charlie Watts in 2021, joyfully thundering through the gem “ Paint It, Black ” and birthday boy Chuck Leavell ripping out a fleet-fingered solo on his Yamaha keyboard on “Honky Tonk Women” offered fans a peek at the magic happening a few feet behind Jagger and Co.

During the always-visceral “ Sympathy for the Devil ,” as serpents and fire crawled across the screens, Jagger prowled through the sinister groove, augmented by percussion provided by background vocalist Bernard Fowler and chunky bass lines from Darryl Jones.

Keyboardist Matt Clifford added French horn to “ You Can’t Always Get What You Want ” as Jagger, playing an acoustic guitar, strolled through the message of acquiescence that escalated into a gospel throwdown.

The horn duo of Karl Denson and Tim Ries coated many familiar anthems – “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Miss You” among them – with their rich brass sounds. But, as fans have realized over the decades, the ominous “Gimme Shelter” remains a centerpiece of any Rolling Stones concert, and Jagger has a new onstage playmate in powerhouse background vocalist Chanel Haynes.

The woman who starred as Tina Turner in the West End musical of Turner’s life and officially became part of the band last year steamrolled through “Gimme Shelter” with a voice blaring attitude and vigor. As she and Jagger strolled the catwalk, sharing vocals and chemistry, Jagger wisely backed off a couple of times, allowing Haynes to unleash her theatrical verve.

But this is still Jagger’s circus, and whether he’s bobbing like a jittery prizefighter or wiggling his shoulders like the world’s most slender Chippendales dancer, he is an octogenarian who captivates.

The band has enlisted various openers throughout the tour. In Houston, blues-rock guitar ace – and Texas native – Gary Clark Jr. landed the opening-night slot and for 45 minutes enchanted the mostly full stadium.

With a large band – five musicians, three background vocalists – behind him, Clark was the epitome of cool in dark shades and a bandanna as he took the stage with “Maktub” from his recently released fourth album, “JPEG Raw.”

Clark is a big name for an opener (then again, it is the Rolling Stones) and he used his time well with massive licks on the crunch rockers “Bright Lights” and “This is Who We Are,” with singer Naala joining him.

The soul-inflected “Feed the Babies” seared as a set highlight as the singer/guitarist displayed sizzling playing and a breezy vibe for the crowd.

Who Is Ed Sheeran's Wife? All About Cherry Seaborn

Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn met when they were just 11 years old

Jessica Booth is a contributing writer at PEOPLE. She has been working at PEOPLE since 2022. Her work has appeared in Brides, Parents, What To Expect, Romper, The Knot and Forbes.

Ed Sheeran and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, have one of the sweetest love stories in Hollywood.

The couple have known each other since they were kids, and started dating not long after reuniting in New York City in 2015.

In January 2018, Sheeran and Seaborn secretly got married during an intimate ceremony with only 40 guests. Nearly two years later, the couple welcomed their first child , daughter Lyra Antarctica, and in May 2022, their second child , daughter Jupiter , arrived.

While pregnant with Jupiter, Seaborn was diagnosed with cancer. She spoke publicly about her health for the first time in Sheeran's Disney+ docuseries, Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All , which premiered in May 2023. The "Shivers" singer also opened up about his wife and how much she means to him.

"Everything in my life got so much better when Cherry got into it ," Sheeran can be heard saying in the series trailer.

Despite her high-profile relationship, Seaborn is a private person who doesn't have public social media accounts and tends to stay out of the spotlight. Still, here's everything we know about her and her relationship with Sheeran.

She grew up with Sheeran

Sheeran and Seaborn have known each other for a very long time: they first met at Thomas Mills High in Suffolk, England and were friends for a while.

Their relationship was never romantic in high school, though. During an interview on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Sheeran said that if they had dated back then, "it would have been a disaster."

The friends lost touch when Sheeran went on tour and Seaborn headed to Duke University in North Carolina. In 2015, however, the pair reconnected in N.Y.C. after a mutual friend invited them both out.

"One day, she was in New York and she went to go out with Cherry because Cherry worked on Wall Street," Sheeran shared on the podcast of his friend and touring buddy Lauren. "And then she was like, 'Oh Cherry Seaborn is in town, do you want to hang out?' I was like, 'Yes.' "

He went on to say that he had been nervous about seeing Seaborn again, since the last time they were together, they had "hooked up." "So in my head, I was like what if she remembers that because it was like a while ago. It was very innocent. Very gentle, it was a kiss."

She moved to America to pursue her master's degree

After graduating from Durham University in the United Kingdom, Seaborn headed to Duke University in North Carolina in 2013. During an interview with Duke's The Chronicle , she shared that living in America was always part of her plan. "Ever since I was in high school I've always wanted to … study in the United States," Seaborn told the publication.

After receiving her master's degree at Duke, Seaborn headed to New York, where she worked on Wall Street for the accounting firm Deloitte . In 2016, she moved back to the U.K. to work for the firm's London office.

She was a field hockey star

Seaborn was something of a field hockey superstar when she was in college. She started playing collegiately while at Durham University in the U.K., where she led her squad to the British University championship in 2012 and 2013.

She continued playing field hockey at Duke University while also studying at the business school.

Seaborn still tries to make time to play field hockey today. In 2021, photographers spotted Sheeran watching Seaborn play with her team in Suffolk.

She's friends with Taylor Swift

After reuniting in New York in 2015, Sheeran and Seaborn had one of their first official dates at Taylor Swift 's Rhode Island mansion. The two met up there during one of Swift's legendary Fourth of July parties .

Sheeran told PEOPLE in 2017, "I went on tour again, and then I went to Taylor's Fourth of July party. I was texting [Seaborn], and she was like, 'I'm in Rhode Island at a 4th of July party,' and I was like, 'So am I.' I kinda said to Taylor, 'Can I invite one of my old schoolmates?' The rest is history."

A year later, the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary at another one of Swift's bashes. Sheeran and Seaborn were spotted kissing on the lips in the background of a photo taken by Swift's friend Abigail Anderson.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Anderson wrote, "When there's literally so much love around your only option is to make a room for all of your love banners and sing love songs to each other. @taylorswift we LOVE you! Kudos to @teddysphotos for the photobomb of the year."

The "Shape of You" singer also told PEOPLE that Swift and Seaborn have since developed a friendship of their own. "[She] and Taylor have hung out without me quite a few times; I think they have gal chats," he said. "I don't know what they get up to, talking about cats or whatever."

She is Sheeran's musical muse

Sheeran released his album ÷ (Divide) in March 2017, which included the ballad "Perfect." The singer later revealed that he wrote the song after attending a party at James Blunt's house with Seaborn.

"We got really hammered and took our shoes off and danced on his lawn and then jumped in the pool," he told Radio.com. "And then the next day I was like, 'That's a cool story,' so I put it in a song."

Sheeran's verse in Taylor Swift's "End Game" also seems to have been inspired by Seaborn. In the song, he sings, "Knew it when I was young / We connected when we were a little bit older" and "Something was born on the Fourth of July."

He also mentions her in the song "Remember the Name" on No. 6 Collaborations Project . In the song, he raps, "Watch how the lyrics in this song might get twisted / My wife wears red but looks better without the lipstick." In an interview with Charlamagne Tha God , he explained, "It was actually before me and Cherry got married, and I knew that we'd be married by the point that the song came out."

In September 2023, Sheeran released his album Autumn Variations , which he said was inspired by his time in the kitchen with Seaborn.

“It was actually cooking that inspired me to make it ,” he shared in a TikTok video. “Me and my wife always put on Norah Jones.”

She influenced Sheeran's break from music

Seaborn moved back to the U.K. in 2016 to be closer to Sheeran, and not long after, Sheeran took a short break from making music.

During an interview with Beats 1/Apple Music's Zane Lowe, the singer said, "We were basically like, 'Let's both quit our jobs and let's have a year of forming a tight bond and relationship. So we went traveling and spent every day for a year together."

Sheeran also spoke to PEOPLE exclusively about his break from music ahead of his Apple Music documentary Songwriter . "I ended the tour and I [realized] I hadn't ever really lived a life," he shared. "I haven't properly formed relationships with people so I needed to have a year off and spend it with friends and family and Cherry and actually become a human being."

During that time off, Seaborn and Sheeran traveled together to places like Fiji, Italy and Australia. "She hadn't really done anything either, so it was an opportunity for both of us to get to know each other and live life a little bit," the singer told PEOPLE of the couple's travels.

It seems that he's continued to take a slower pace since then. In May 2024, Sheeran told PEOPLE he had no plans to release the new music he was working on anytime soon.

“I'm enjoying being on tour, " he said. "I released two records on tour last year and it's quite a lot being on tour and releasing records. So, I've made the new music and I'm just going to sit on it for a bit.”

She cares about the environment

Seaborn is a manager at Deloitte. According to her LinkedIn profile , she currently works with the World Climate team for the company with "a focus on bringing people and organizations together to accelerate impactful solutions to combat climate change."

Her profile describes her as "an entrepreneur with a genuine concern for the health of the planet," and states that she graduated from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership with a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business.

During a podcast interview , Sheeran described Seaborn as being "at the top of her field" in her career.

Their first daughter's name has a special meaning

Sheeran has previously opened up about the meaning behind the name of his and Seaborn's first daughter, Lyra Antarctica .

During an appearance on the British morning show Lorraine , Sheeran said that the couple wanted to give her a unique name, explaining, "I realize some people think it's quite a strange name. But my wife's called Cherry, and she is the only Cherry that I've ever met and I think that she's the only Cherry that she's ever met and I quite like that."

He went on to say that her middle name, Antarctica, was inspired by a trip the couple took before Seaborn became pregnant. "When tour finished, I've basically toured every single continent but I've never been to Antarctica so that was always on our list," he said. "So we went down there in 2019 and it was just incredible. The most amazing place on earth."

She still makes time to support Sheeran's career

In addition to being a mom who works in a competitive field and plays field hockey recreationally, Seaborn also manages to make time to support Sheeran in his career.

Back in 2019, she starred alongside her husband in the music video for his single "Put It All on Me" featuring Ella Mai. In the video, the two were captured dancing in the kitchen of their London apartment alongside captions like, "Back in high school, Ed & Cherry were crushing hard. They made out at the castle on the hill." It was the first time the couple appeared in a music video together.

In a 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada , Sheeran revealed that Seaborn had picked "Bad Habits" to be the first single on his album =, and shared that when it comes to his music, his wife has a very "business-minded head."

"She hasn't been wrong," he said. "There's one song she told me to cut from the album and now the album makes more sense."

She had a tumor while pregnant with her second child

When announcing his new album, Subtract , Sheeran shared a series of events that changed his life in 2022, one of which involved his wife.

" My pregnant wife got told she had a tumour , with no route to treatment until after the birth," he said in a press release.

In March 2023, Sheeran talked in detail about Seaborn's diagnosis with Rolling Stone . He shared that doctors found the tumor when his wife was six months pregnant and that the couple considered welcoming their daughter Jupiter into the world early. Ultimately, Seaborn carried the baby to term and underwent a "successful surgery" to remove the tumor .

"There's nothing you can do about it. You feel so powerless," Sheeran told the outlet, recalling his mental health struggles at that time.

For the first time, Seaborn spoke publicly about her cancer diagnosis in Sheeran's Disney+ docuseries titled Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All .

"I got diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year which was a massive s—ter. It made me massively reflect on our mortality," the mom-of-two said, adding that she wouldn't normally agree to be on camera. "It made me think, 'Oh if I died, what's people's perception of me? What do you leave behind?' "

She's a very private person

After appearing in Sheeran's Disney+ docuseries, the "Shape of You" singer reiterated that Seaborn isn't looking to live her life in the public eye.

"Cherry sort of touches on it in the documentary, and we've talked about this a lot, whether we can close the door after we've opened it a little bit," Sheeran said on The Elvis Duran Morning Show . " She's always been a private person . She's never had a public Instagram. She's never done a red carpet with me. We've always been super private. Our private life is our private life."

He added that Seaborn is "trying to block out" the attention she's received since the series premiered.

"Everyone kind of respects that, I think, the door is closed again now. She's not someone that you're suddenly going to see pop up on a panel show here and doing this and doing that," Sheeran said.

Paramount, Skydance Deal in Doubt After Talks Break Down

Paramount ’s quest for a new owner continues. The entertainment company’s potential deal with Skydance appears to be in peril as of late Friday as the 30-day exclusive negotiating window came to a close. Earlier this week, The New York Times reported that Paramount fielded a $26 billion , all-cash offer from Sony and Apollo . Insiders indicate that Paramount controlling shareholder Shari Redstone is cautious about the new opportunity due to regulatory challenges that it may face, leaving the company’s future in question. Neil Young and Crazy Horse 2024 tour setlist: Every song they played at Phoenix concert

ed sheeran tour opener times

Neil Young brought Crazy Horse to Phoenix for the first since 2003, when the Greendale Tour played what we now call Arizona Financial Theatre.

Saturday’s show at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre was in support of "FU##IN’ UP," a new release that captures Young and Crazy Horse in all their ragged glory.

And they treated Phoenix to a show that put the spotlight on the staples that have made Young one of rock ‘n’ roll's most celebrated elder statesmen, setting the tone with an epic performance of “Cortez the Killer” that lasted roughly 15 minutes.

By the time they brought the concert to a cacophonous conclusion with the glorious racket of “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)" and a one-song encore of "Danger Bird," Young and Crazy Horse had powered their way through such classics as “Cinnamon Girl,” “Don’t Cry No Tears” and “Powderfinger.”

Young also took a break from the distortion and his bandmates for a three-song unplugged mini-set, including “Comes a Time” and “Heart of Gold,” before the night was through.
