2021 World Tour Championship: Live stream, Race to Dubai TV schedule, golf tee times for European Tour finale
The best event of the week takes place in the uae as the european tour crowns a champion.
The best golf tournament this week is not taking place under the PGA Tour banner but rather several thousand miles away in Dubai. The European Tour's season culminates over the next few days with the DP World Tour Championship.
This year's field included Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Will Zalatoris, Paul Casey, Matt Fitzpatrick and the two leaders of the Race to Dubai -- Billy Horschel and Collin Morikawa. The event is tantamount to the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup as a season-long race winds down and will reward the very top players in the standings at the end of the week.
Heading into the final round on Sunday, one of the biggest names in the sport seems focused on walking away with the title in the European Tour finale as McIlroy sits atop the leaderboard at 14 under. It's a slim one-shot lead, so excitement will be high in Round 4 as McIlroy pursues the victory.
Below is all the information you need to catch the Race to Dubai as it concludes on Sunday.

The European Tour on Tuesday released its global schedule for 2021, a slate of events featuring at least 42 tournaments in 24 countries.
The schedule reveal looks similar to the pre-pandemic version, with 18 returning tournaments that were either postponed or canceled because of the coronavirus.
Each of the Rolex Series events (now just four of them) will feature an increase in prize money and offer the same number of Race to Dubai points (8,000) as a World Golf Championship event. European Tour members can begin accruing points toward Ryder Cup qualification beginning in January, at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (Jan. 21-24).
The European Tour’s flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship, will be held Sept. 9-12 – a week after the PGA Tour’s season-ending Tour Championship, and two weeks prior to the Ryder Cup in Wisconsin.
Learning from the reshuffling caused by the pandemic, the European Tour has once again grouped events together based on geographic proximity to create a more travel-friendly schedule.
“With the pursuit of Ryder Cup points beginning again in January for our European members; qualification spots now available for our Rolex Series events; a sustained pursuit of innovation; and our continued celebration of our wonderful heritage, it is understandable that our overarching narrative for this season is that ‘Every Week Counts,’” said European Tour chief executive Keith Pelley.

European Tour announces expansive schedule for 2021
The European Tour has announced its schedule for 2021 which features a minimum of 42 tournaments in 24 countries, as golf’s global Tour resumes a full international programme.
Running from January to November, the schedule also features 18 returning tournaments which were either postponed or cancelled in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The 2021 season is headlined by a refined Rolex Series which now features the European Tour’s four premium events spread across key points in the global golfing calendar, each one enhanced by a prize fund increase and elevated Race to Dubai points.
The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (January 21-24), the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open (July 8-11) and the BMW PGA Championship (September 9-12) will each now have a prize fund of US$ 8million – an increase of $1million.
They will also all have 8,000 Race to Dubai points available, the same as on offer at the four World Golf Championship events.
The prize fund for the fourth and final Rolex Series event of the season – the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai – also increases by US$ 1million to US$ 9million.
The European Tour season-ending finale will also continue to feature the largest winner’s cheque in the world of golf – US$ 3 million – with, additionally, 12,000 Race to Dubai points available, some 2,000 points above those on offer at the four Major Championships.
At the point the final details for a handful of events are still to be confirmed and there will be an event announced in the UK in July which is co-sanctioned with the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour.
Keith Pelley, Chief Executive of the European Tour, said: “I am incredibly proud to announce our 2021 global schedule, one that once again sees us journey through continents and across the world.
“With the pursuit of Ryder Cup points beginning again in January for our European members; qualification spots now available for our Rolex Series events; a sustained pursuit of innovation and a continued celebration of our wonderful heritage, it is understandable that our overarching narrative for this season is that: ‘Every Week Counts.’
“There is no question that the challenge of reshaping our 2020 season in many ways informed our approach to 2021.
“One of the key learnings was to group events together in terms of their geographical location to create a more travel friendly season for our members. That is reflected in numerous concentrations of event locations.”

Matt Fitzpatrick secured a seventh European Tour title with a three-shot victory in a thrilling finish at the Estrella Damm N.A Andalucia Masters.

Estrella Damm N.A Andalucia Masters
The Englishman overturned a three-stroke deficit on the final day at Valderrama, opening with 15 consecutive pars and birdieing two of his last three holes to post a bogey-free 69 and the week on six under.
Fitzpatrick trailed for large periods but took advantage of Sebastian Soderberg dropping three shots over his closing two holes, with the Swede finishing in tied-second on three under alongside Min Woo Lee, while overnight leader Laurie Canter's hopes faded with a final-round 76.
"It's on the bucket list to win round Valderrama with the history that it has," Fitzpatrick said. "To do it bogey-free on Sunday as well is extra special. It's amazing, particularly the way I did It - very patient all day, didn't try to press anything, stuck to our targets and managed to hole the putts at the end. I'm delighted with the win."
Canter started the day with a three-shot lead but saw his lead cut to one when Soderberg followed a close-range birdie at the second by holing from 10 feet at the next and then making a 15-foot eagle at the par-five fourth.

The Englishman picked up a close-range birdie at the fifth but followed a three-putt double-bogey at the par-five sixth with another three-putt bogey at the seventh, seeing him lose his overnight lead, only to reach the turn level with Soderberg when the Swede bogey the seventh.
Soderberg picked up a birdie at the 11th and made a 10-footer to save par at the next, where Canter dropped a shot after finding sand off the tee, before cancelling out a bogey at the 13th by converting from five feet at the 15th to give himself a two-shot advantage.

The tournament was blown wide open as Soderberg lost his ball into trees at the par-five 17th and three-putted from off the green for a double-bogey, dropping him back to four under alongside Canter and Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick ended his run of 15 pars with a 10-foot birdie at the 16th, where Canter dropped a shot after a wayward tee shot, while Soderberg's hopes ended when he failed to get up and down from the rough to save par at the last.
Canter found the water with his approach into the par-five 17th and carded a second successive bogey, as Fitzpatrick pitched to six feet and made another birdie to take a three-shot cushion to the final hole.
Fitzpatrick finished short of the green with his approach but was able to salvage a par and close a blemish-free winning round, as Canter also made a four to end the week in a seven-way tie for fourth.
Victory is Fitzpatrick's first of the season and moves him up to fifth in the Race to Dubai standings, with the win also set to move the Englishman back inside the world's top 25.

Here's the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2021 DP World Tour Championship
Ross Kinnaird
Collin Morikawa had a good grip on the Race to Dubai title coming into the DP World Tour Championship, regardless of his play over the weekend in Dubai. And yet, the 24-year-old American didn’t want to hear anything of it, instead focusing on winning the tournament proper, which as he said would take care of everything else.
Come Sunday at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, Morikawa did just that, posting a bogey-free six-under 66—propelled by five birdies on the back nine—to win the title in the European Tour season finale by three shots. In the process, he made history by becoming the first U.S. player ever to win the tour’s season-long points title.
To the winner goes the spoils. The RtD title comes with a $1 million bonus for Morikawa. But the tournament win was even more lucrative. The overall purse for this Rolex Series event in Dubai was $9 million with the winner claiming a $3 million prize money payout.
Below are the prize money payouts (in Euros) for each player in the field as they conclude the 2020-21 European Tour season.

What is the European Tour (DP World Tour) cut rule, and how is the cut line determined?
Most European Tour (DP World Tour) events have a cut after two rounds, or 36 holes, down to a field for the final two rounds. As of the 2017-18 season, the cut rule is down to the top 65 players and ties, with those players getting to finish out the tournament provided less than 78 players finishing inside the 36-hole cut line.
In the event that 78 or more players make the 36-hole cut, then the European Tour has a secondary cut after 54 holes to reduce the field to the number nearest possible to 72 players. Those players who survive the secondary cut play the final round and have an opportunity to move up the leaderboard. The players who miss the secondary cut are considered MDF, or "made the cut, didn't finish," and earn money and Race to Dubai points for their standing through 54 holes.
All players who make the 36-hole cut are paid according to the European Tour purse distribution guidance.
However, not every European Tour (DP World Tour) event has a 36-hole cut line. Some events are not subject to the European Tour cut rule. Players who complete four rounds in these events earn credit for a cut made on the European Tour.

McIlroy’s proposed return to boardroom ‘incredibly positive’ for PGA Tour
- New chief executive of European Tour group welcomes move
- McIlroy motivated by desire to end split in elite men’s golf
The newly installed chief executive of the European Tour group, Guy Kinnings, has urged the PGA Tour to seize the opportunity provided by Rory McIlroy’s willingness to return to the boardroom to help heal divisions in the game.
The Guardian revealed on Monday that McIlroy will assume roles on the PGA Tour’s policy board and the PGA Tour Enterprises board, subject to a vote on Wednesday. McIlroy is motivated by a strong desire to end the current split in elite men’s golf, where the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Tour are essentially operating independently of each other.
“I would welcome it wholeheartedly,” said Kinnings, who succeeded Keith Pelley this month, of a McIlroy return to a position of power. “It would be an incredibly positive move for the PGA Tour to take but it would be great for everyone.”
Golf’s key constituent parts now involve various tours and the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which backs LIV. McIlroy enjoys positive relations with Yasir al-Rumayyan, the head of the PIF.
“He takes an interest in so many aspects of the sport,” Kinnings added. “I have known him for a very long time and he is so thoughtful. You think you know what is going on in the game and then you listen to Rory and say: ‘Wow, he has put that so well.’
“You want to have people who are ready to apply that kind of knowledge, experience and thinking. He is very well connected with people at the PGA Tour , the DP World Tour – we rely on him hugely – and also the PIF. He is the right person with those connections [and] would be a huge asset.”
Kinnings is adamant that a “united, global” route is necessary for the sport. “I see this as an amazing opportunity,” he added. “We truly have that, with the right people and voices to help shape it. Tiger [Woods] is involved, I am delighted Rory is looking at this. These are the people who should be helping to shape the game they have given so much to.
“I think it needs to be addressed and it needs to be addressed quickly. You need the right people round the table, giving it thought because this is complicated.”
McIlroy would become the only European voice on these PGA Tour committees, which itself is notable. The PGA Tour and DP World Tour have a strategic alliance but there has been general concern about European golf being left behind, with focus on the US. “I was always delighted to have European representation,” said Kinnings. “I think it is far better to have a global view and Rory truly has that.
“It is such an important time and he is passionate about reaching this solution that we all agree is in the best interests of the sport globally. So I think he would be so valuable, so constructive. Personally and on behalf of this tour, I would be delighted if he was back playing a very significant role in the important discussions that are ongoing.”

Russia establishes special site to fabricate fuel for China’s CFR-600
!{Model.Description}
A special production site to fabricate fuel for China’s CFR-600 fast reactor under construction has been established at Russia’s Mashinostroitelny Zavod (MSZ - Machine-Building Plant) in Elektrostal (Moscow region), part of Rosatom’s TVEL Fuel Company.
As part of the project, MSZ had upgraded existing facilities fo the production of fuel for fast reactors, TVEL said on 3 March. Unique equipment has been created and installed, and dummy CFR-600 fuel assemblies have already been manufactured for testing.
The new production site was set up to service an export contract between TVEL and the Chinese company CNLY (part of China National Nuclear Corporation - CNNC) for the supply of uranium fuel for CFR-600 reactors. Construction of the first CFR-600 unit started in Xiapu County, in China's Fujian province in late 2017 followed by the second unit in December 2020. The contract is for the start-up fuel load, as well as refuelling for the first seven years. The start of deliveries is scheduled for 2023.
“The Russian nuclear industry has a unique 40 years of experience in operating fast reactors, as well as in the production of fuel for such facilities,” said TVEL President Natalya Nikipelova. “The Fuel Division of Rosatom is fulfilling its obligations within the framework of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the development of fast reactor technologies. These are unique projects when foreign design fuel is produced in Russia. Since 2010, the first Chinese fast neutron reactor CEFR has been operating on fuel manufactured at the Machine-Building Plant, and for the supply of CFR-600 fuel, a team of specialists from MSZ and TVEL has successfully completed a complex high-tech project to modernise production,” she explained.
A special feature of the new section is its versatility: this equipment will be used to produce fuel intended for both the Chinese CFR-600 and CEFR reactors and the Russian BN-600 reactor of the Beloyarsk NPP. In the near future, the production of standard products for the BN-600 will begin.
The contract for the supply of fuel for the CFR-600 was signed in December 2018 as part of a governmental agreement between Russia and China on cooperation in the construction and operation of a demonstration fast neutron reactor in China. This is part of a wider comprehensive programme of cooperation in the nuclear energy sector over the coming decades. This includes serial construction of the latest Russian NPP power units with generation 3+ VVER-1200 reactors at two sites in China (Tianwan and Xudabao NPPs). A package of intergovernmental documents and framework contracts for these projects was signed in 2018 during a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
