Plan Kerala packages from Mumbai now

Faqs about kerala tours from mumbai, 1. best time to visit kerala from mumbai, 2. how to reach kerala from mumbai.

The quickest and most convenient way to reach Kerala from Mumbai is by taking a flight. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai is well-connected to major airports in Kerala, including Cochin International Airport (COK), Trivandrum International Airport (TRV), and Calicut International Airport (CCJ). Multiple airlines such as Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, GoAir, and Vistara operate regular flights between Mumbai and Kerala. Flight durations vary based on your destination in Kerala but typically range from 2 to 3 hours.

Indian Railways provides train services connecting Mumbai with major cities and towns in Kerala. You can catch a train from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSTM) or Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to popular Kerala railway stations like Ernakulam Junction (ERS), Thiruvananthapuram Central (TVC), or Kozhikode (CLT). Some of the well-known trains on this route include the Netravati Express, the Kerala Sampark Kranti Express, and the Mumbai CST-Thiruvananthapuram Weekly Express. Train journeys are comfortable and offer scenic views, but they generally take longer compared to flights.

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and private bus operators run regular bus services between Mumbai and various cities in Kerala. The bus journey duration depends on your destination within Kerala and can range from 16 to 24 hours or more. Deluxe and sleeper buses are available for a more comfortable overnight journey. The buses typically depart from Mumbai’s various bus terminals like Borivali, Vashi, or Dadar.

If you prefer driving, you can take a road trip from Mumbai to Kerala. The distance between Mumbai and Kerala cities like Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram is approximately 1,300 to 1,500 kilometers, depending on your destination within Kerala. The road journey offers flexibility but is a lengthy one, taking around 24 to 30 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. The route involves driving through scenic landscapes and multiple toll booths, so ensure your vehicle is in good condition before embarking on the journey.

3. What are the best places to visit in Kerala?

4. what are the best local cuisine in kerala.

  • Puttu and Kadala Curry: For breakfast, the most popular dish is Puttu and Kadala Curry. Puttu is a simple yet delightful dish of cylindrical steamed rice cakes. It’s served piping hot along with kadala curry which is made of black chickpeas cooked in a coconut-based gravy. The two make for a filling and tasty combo.

5. What to shopping in Kerala?

6. what are most adventure things to do in kerala, 7. how many days enough for kerala trip.

The ideal duration for a Kerala trip depends on your interests and the places you want to explore. However, a recommended itinerary would be:

  • Short Trip (3-4 Days): If you have limited time, consider a quick getaway to experience some of Kerala’s highlights. Focus on one or two key destinations like Munnar and Kochi. This duration allows for a taste of Kerala’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
  • Standard Trip (7-10 Days): For a more comprehensive experience, a week to ten days is ideal. You can cover multiple destinations, including Munnar, Alleppey, Kochi, Thekkady, and perhaps a beach destination like Kovalam or Varkala. This allows you to explore Kerala’s diverse landscapes, culture, and cuisine.
  • Extended Trip (14+ Days): If you have the time, a two-week or longer trip lets you delve deeper into Kerala. You can add offbeat destinations like Wayanad, Kumarakom , and explore at a more relaxed pace. This is perfect for travelers who want to immerse themselves fully in Kerala’s charm.

8. How is the weather in Kerala?

Kerala is a captivating southern state of India, best known for its lush, verdant landscapes and moderate climate. Nestled between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats, this tropical paradise experiences a unique and pleasant weather pattern throughout the year. The three main distinct seasons in Kerala can be identified by the weather.

  • The Southwest Monsoon (June to September) : The southwest monsoon season brings heavy rainfall to Kerala, with some regions receiving over 300 inches of rain during this period. The air is filled with the fresh scent of petrichor, and the landscape transforms into a verdant tapestry of vibrant greens. This is a time when the state’s lush, tropical forests come alive, and the waterfalls and rivers swell with the abundance of water. It’s an ideal time for nature lovers to witness the stunning beauty of Kerala’s backwaters and explore the serene, winding canals.
  • The Northeast Monsoon (October to November) : As the southwest monsoon retreats, the northeast monsoon arrives, bringing a more moderate and pleasant rainfall pattern. The temperatures during this time are comfortable, with average highs around 86°F (30°C) and lows around 73°F (23°C). This is a popular time for tourists to visit Kerala, as the weather is ideal for outdoor activities, from hiking in the hills to enjoying the beaches along the coastline.
  • The Dry Season (December to May) : The dry season in Kerala is characterized by warm, sunny days and cooler nights. Temperatures range from an average high of 91°F (33°C) to a low of 68°F (20°C). This is the perfect time to explore Kerala’s historic cities, such as Kochi and Trivandrum, and immerse yourself in the state’s rich cultural heritage. It’s also an excellent time to enjoy Kerala’s world-renowned Ayurvedic retreats and relax in the serene backwaters.

No matter the season, Kerala’s weather is a delightful blend of tropical charm and natural beauty, making it a year-round destination for those seeking an enchanting and rejuvenating experience on their holidays.
