This review is a bit tardy in its posting as the trip was taken in the Fall. See Italy, by Laura Massoni, provided a most memorable "retirement celebration" trip to: Florence; Tuscany; and, Positano on the Amalfi Coast! This was the second time we used See Italy in planning an Italy adventure; and, the efficiency, detail and recommendations could not have been more perfect. If you are planning a trip to Italy, this is the tour operator to use. This trip we worked with Valentina Losavio - the architect of this amazing trip. She was terrific to work with and provided excellent counsel on guided trips, cooking classes, day trips on our own and recommended more restaurants than we could visit in our 2 week trip. The detailed itinerary provided could not have been more complete and easier to follow. They have offices in Italy which is nice to have as there are always questions that pop up and it is nice to have someone local to talk to. The Guided day trips of museums, excavated cities, wineries and other notable locations were extremely interesting and narrated by exceptionally knowledgeable Guides. Francesca was our favorite guide (Florence), followed closely by Giuseppe (Pompeii & Ercolano). We also had Giuseppe the last time we visited Ercolano in 2014 and much to our surprise he remembered us after we shared a few facts about our last meeting that jarred his memory. Such a nice man. Elena (Sienna) was very knowledgeable and exhibited great concern for us when she learned we had parked in the residential "no parking" zone. Fortunately, when we got back to our rental car it was still there and there was no ticket on the windshield. However, we did not escape a fine. Several weeks after we returned home, we received a letter in the mail from the Municipality of Sienna. Low and behold we had to pay two fines totaling some 60 Euros. One for parking in the residential area and one for simply driving in the residential area. We, of course, paid the tariff. We had a cooking class with The Man From Chianti (Andrea Anichini). This experience and a visit to Tipica Macelleria Rapaccini (Butcher Shop) was probably the single most enjoyable event of the trip. Andrea is such a character along with his wife and sister-in-law. The food and conversation was outstanding, and will long be remembered. The accommodations in all three locations were simply breathtaking. The pictures online did them no justice! Sometimes the pictures online are better than the actual property. Not so in this case!! The view from all our rooms in Positano were the most stunning. We did need to communicate with the See Italy folks in Italy. Our Capri trip had to be cancelled due to weather and Claudia Seghini & "TT" were very accommodating. They seamlessly changed our Capri trip by providing a car & driver to the towns of Amalfi & Ravello. Pepe was our driver and he was the best driver we had on the trip. So personable and fun! Amalfi and Ravello are charming towns that provided us an opportunity to experience their charisma - an opportunity that would have been lost but for the bad weather! That's making limoncello out of lemons!! All-in-all we had the experience of a lifetime with this trip and can't thank Laura Massoni's See Italy team for their professionalism, efficiency, hard work and follow through in planning our adventure. We will be sure use them again for our next trip.

I was talking with Laura recently, that it's time to visit Italy again. My last trip was the summer before the winter Olympics in Torino. I didn't have a lot of money but i wanted to go and photograph the city. She knew my budget and when I wanted to go....She was able to get me a great deal on air travel and found me a pension, a former monastery, off the beaten path that I thoroughly enjoyed staying at during my time in Torino. They have a great public transportation system in Torino, that allowed me to get anywhere in the city I wanted to go. I opted for the "local" way of traveling....free! Well, I actually had a day pass, but I only had to use it once. Laura told me that's what locals do, that I just need to watch out for the "transit police" that jump on to check to make sure everyone has tickets. I almost got caught once, but I was able to jump off before he made his way to my side of the train! It was fun! What I appreciate about Laura is that if I want to travel to Italy and get the non tourist experience, she knows how to make that happen. Of course, I had to see some of the main tourist attractions of Torino, which she recommended, but for the most part, I wanted to wander the streets, photograph, and see what life was like in Torino. That's what I got! I'm looking forward to going back to Torino to see more of the city. If you want to see Italy, don't forget to visit Torino. It's a beautiful city that is full of character and it's clean, not dirty like Milan. I hated Milan! Laura knows Italy!

went to mexico last month. laura booked it for me... she did a great job! i flew from tj to mexcio city, mex city to merida, merida to mex city to oaxaca, and oaxaca to tj, in 2 weeks, on 3 different airlines. it all went well without much trouble. she even got us upgraded to business class on way from merida to oaxaca, which was nice, since we had a 5 hour layover.. got to chill in businees/1st class lounge. free food and drinks in cushy chairs. for what seemed a hassle to me, they took care of me. highly recommend using laura. they know what there doing and a computer cant get you the personal attention and expertise a real live person can give you. book it!

laura massoni travel is the bomb...or bomba. whatever you call her is fine, just call her. shes been doin travel for years and has been everywhere, she knows how to travel well. if your cheap and wanna bargain, dont call her. if your serious about travel, and want to know where to go in any given city in the world, then this is the joint to call. if you love italy, you definitely need to call her. she knows italy, shes italian! like italian italian, not italian american. she speaks it, cooks it, lives it...italian as they come...and she knows travel. she booked my last trip to jamaica, awesome...and to italy. cant recommend them enough.

Laura booked our 2 week anniversary trip to Italy. She was FANTASTIC!! From making B&B recommendations within our budget, train travel, driver connections to & from airports, excursions, restaurants, museums, she did more than expected!! We visited 5 amazing cities & she knew little details we would have never known without her advice. Even great places to shop to avoid tourist trap prices! I was more than happy with her services. Laura had everything printed out for us so it was easy to follow & even checked in with us on text & email. I highly recommend her services, especially to Italy where she is from. We can't thank her enough for how amazing our trip was. We'll definitely use her again!

Born and raised in Italy, Laura Massoni migrated to San Diego in the early 90’s. Her Italian heritage and fond childhood memories of Italy have built a foundation of passion and authenticity for her tour operator business, “ We personally know the hotel managers, the chefs, and the tour guides. Their Tourwriter story

See Italy Travel began using Tourwriter in 2016 to automate and speed up the way their Travel Designers produced custom travel itineraries. Laura Massoni was born and raised in Piedmont, Italy. Having lived in San Diego since 1992, Laura loves sharing Italian culture with American friends and family. She enjoys helping Americans to see Italy through Italian eyes. Laura has worked in the travel industry for over 20 years – spanning roles such as reservation agent, travel adviser, and owner of a boutique tour operator. In 2011, Laura made the decision to focus exclusively on her country of origin – founding the tour operation See Italy Travel. See Italy Travel partners with travel agents and specialty businesses to create one-of-a-kind trips through the authentic Italy. When I hit my 40’s I realized that what I missed the most was sharing my love for Italy, my home country, with the people around me. This love awakened my senses and made me closer to what I remembered dear to me. I believe one source of my passion, is the fact that I had a very slow and secure childhood. I used to take trips to the market with my mom, spend endless Sundays at my grandpa’s county house picnicking with family and friends, and the long family meals spent over the holidays.

The warm feelings, traditions and memories are what remain from my years of growth and traveling. There is also the knowledge that building a truly wonderful life begins in the heart. The heart is the home to the memories and the experiences that sustain us, the well from which we will draw incredible reflections and new adventures. Our goal is to leave a lasting memory in our client’s hearts, which they will take with them everywhere they go. This is why, I only share with you, the authentic Italian experience!

1. What would you say is the benefit in traveling in a group?

You can go in places without ever feeling alone, without being lost, it is a greater sense of security. You can share memories, laughter, stories and have doors open that you couldn’t if you were alone.

2. Why travel to Italy?

Italy has everything you ever wanted from a “complete” life, I call it, EXPERIENCE. If you like history, culture, food, wine, laughter and love this is the place for you.

3. What are some unknown or little known highlights to consider?

Anything even the known cities of Rome, Florence and Venice can be unknown. Italy has so much to offer and so many emotions to share that you can have great experiences by using the right provider. The one that knows the ins and outs of the country. Each of the 20 regions in Italy are a new discovery, they are all different.

4. What is on your travel bucket list and why?

I would love to spend more time in regions like Molise, Abruzzo, Marche and Puglia because they have undiscovered places and are less touristy.

5. How has your travel experiences affected your life?

Having lived for so many years in the US, it taught me how to appreciate more the country I left behind. I love Italy and I love every corner of it and the warmth of the people.
