The airlines running these routes are American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines and Air France. Delta Airlines’ aircrafts making this journey are also considered to have less carbon emissions than other flights with other airlines making the same trip. This is normally due to the type of airplanes used, being more fuel efficient.

How can I fly more sustainably from New York to Paris?

A way to reduce your own carbon footprint during flights to Paris from New York is choosing the direct flights over possibly more affordable ones with multiple layovers. Layovers require more take-offs and landings and these moments are considered to burn more fuel. Another good way to play your part at traveling more sustainably is by packing light. Keep your luggage within the weight limits and avoid checking a bag if you can. Airplanes are known to burn more fuel if they are heavier. Travel more eco-friendly by choosing to fly economy over business or first class. Economy class and large aircrafts are more space efficient than flights with large business class areas or empty flights at unpopular times.

If you’re thinking of visiting the French capital sometime soon, then you may be wondering what are the best airlines to fly to Paris.

paris eiffel tower view

For starters, flying to France can be expensive and there are many different airlines to fly with. There are so many different airline options and ticket types to choose from, it can be a bit overwhelming.

When looking for international flights to Paris from the US, there are several popular choices that come to mind including Air France, American Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta Airlines .

These are all major airlines with direct routes from major cities in the US such as Los Angeles and San Francisco.

If you’re looking for the best prices and best service, then here is a guide to the best options available.

paris travel guide

This 10-page Paris travel guide includes all the best foods to eat in Paris, where to eat, the top things to do and see in Paris, including day trips, scenic tours, museums, attractions, and more. Find out the best (and worst) places to stay in Paris, including my top picks for hotels in each area. Links in this PDF are clickable so you can book your tours and hotels directly!

In this post, you'll find...

My #1 airline pick for flying to Paris

From the United States, your best option for nonstop flights is Air France.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Air France (@airfrance)

The flight duration from the US to Paris is usually around 8 hours from the East Coast, and up to 12 hours from the West Coast. Air France offers a variety of different classes, from economy to business class and first-class with excellent customer service.

The best part? Their staff is bilingual, sometimes speaking three or more languages. No need to worry about how to learn French before your Paris flight!

P.S. Check out this page for all my Paris travel articles, recommendations, and resources!

What can you expect on the flight?

No matter which airline you choose, all major airlines will provide you with in-flight entertainment and meals/drinks depending on the flight duration.

Depending on which class you choose, Air France offers a variety of treats and amenities such as wine tastings with French cuisine to make your flight even more enjoyable.

Which airport is better to fly to Paris?

Before we talk about which airline is the best to fly to Paris, let’s talk about airports.

Paris has two major airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris Orly Airport. The best airport to fly into depends on where you are leaving from, as some airlines only operate from one or the other.

paris charles de gaulle airport

Paris also has a smaller, regional airport called Beauvais Airport, which is located about 60 miles away from the city center. This is definitely the cheapest airport in Paris, because only budget airlines fly here.

But it’s so far out from the city that it’s not really worth it to fly here, even if you do find super low-cost flights that arrive to Beauvais.

Although flights to and from this airport are generally cheaper, you’ll need to factor in extra time for the shuttle services ride into the city and the additional cost of transportation.

You’ll usually only find RyanAir flights landing at Beauvais from nearby cities. If you’re coming from the US, you likely won’t be landing here.

⚡ P.S. Read this next for my complete breakdown of each of the three Paris airports and which to choose!

Airports near Paris

The best airport to fly into when visiting Paris is the Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). This is the largest airport in France and is one of the busiest airports in Europe. It’s well-connected to major cities around the world, so you’re likely to get a good deal on your flight when booking here.

Charles de Gaulle airport is the main airport in Paris, so it’s directly connected to the Paris metro and RER system, making it the best option for getting into the city center quickly and easily.

Now that you know more about choosing an airport, let’s look at which airlines offer service to Paris from North America.

Airlines Operating Direct Flights to/from Paris (CDG)

From North America, some of the best airlines to fly with are Air France, British Airways, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and American Airlines.

These airlines offer regular direct flights from major US cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Average flight time to Paris from the U.S.

How long is the flight to Paris from the U.S.?

Well, it depends.

Travelers coming from the East Coast can expect to be in the air for about 7 hours, while those flying from the West Coast will see an average flight time of 9 to 11 hours.

On average, you can expect to be on the plane to Paris from the United States for at least 7 hours. But keep in mind that this is the average time frame for direct flights to Paris; if you have a layover somewhere, you can expect the flight time to increase.

I’d suggest you pack a few snacks and your best travel pillow!

The best airlines to fly to Paris (from the US)

Now that we know a bit more about Paris’ airports and which airlines operate service to Paris, let’s look at which one is best.

airlines at paris airport

1. Air France

The best airline to fly with for a trip to Paris is Air France. With direct flights from various cities in the US, they offer some of the best prices and the best customer service. Their prices are reasonable, though not necessarily the cheapest, and they often have great deals for those traveling in economy class.

They offer daily flights from major cities in the US, including New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami. Most of their flights are direct, so you don’t have to worry about layovers or long wait times.

trip from nyc to paris

Their planes are spacious, with comfortable seating and plenty of legroom. They also offer meals inspired by classic French food , so you can get a taste of Paris right onboard! For those who enjoy the finer things in life, first class passengers on Air France will also be treated to gourmet cuisine throughout the flight.

All travelers will also have access to in-flight entertainment, including movies and TV shows. This makes the long flight more bearable and slightly more enjoyable.

In terms of customer service, Air France offers excellent service with friendly crew members who are always willing to help make your journey as comfortable as possible.

Overall, Air France is the best airline to fly with for a trip to Paris. I try my best to fly with them anytime I’m flying back to France from the States. With some of the best prices, comfortable seating, and great customer service, there’s no better way to experience France than flying with Air France!

  • Fly directly to Paris from various US cities
  • Offers reasonably priced flights
  • Delicious in-flight meals for all passengers
  • Variety of in-flight entertainment
  • Friendly and helpful crew members
  • Can be slightly more expensive than other airlines. Not the best option if you’re on a tight budget
  • Post-flight customer service isn’t the best

2. Delta Airlines

Delta Airlines is another great option for flying to Paris. While they don’t offer direct flights from all US cities, they usually have several connecting flights that will get you to Paris in no time.

trip from nyc to paris

Their prices are a little more pricey than other airlines but they often have deals and promotions that make flying even more affordable. Their planes are well-maintained, and they offer comfortable seating with plenty of legroom.

The in-flight entertainment is also quite good with a selection of movies, TV shows, and music for you to choose from.

The best part about flying Delta Airlines is the customer service. They have some of the best customer service out there, always going above and beyond to make sure your flight is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Delta is my first choice when it comes to traveling within the US because of its reputation for quality service. When it comes to flying to Paris, Delta isn’t my first choice in terms of flight availability and affordability.

But it’s still a great option for those who have extra money to shell out for a better experience.

  • Variety of connecting flights to Paris
  • Comfortable seating with plenty of legroom
  • Excellent in-flight entertainment options
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Not all US cities have direct flights
  • A bit more expensive than other airlines

3. American Airlines

American Airlines is another great option for flying to Paris. They offer direct flights from various cities in the US and their prices are usually quite reasonable.

trip from nyc to paris

Their planes are usually well-maintained and offer plenty of seating. Their seats aren’t the most comfortable though, which can get annoying on an 8-11 hour flight.

In terms of in-flight entertainment, they have a selection of movies, TV shows, and music to choose from.

In terms of customer service, American Airlines can be hit or miss. Sometimes their crew members are very friendly and accommodating while other times they’re not so pleasant.

Over the years, American has been in the media more and more frequently for their customer service issues, so this is something to keep in mind if you’re considering flying with them.

American Airlines isn’t my first choice when it comes to flying to Paris, but if price and availability are your top concerns then American can be a good option. Overall, I think American Airlines is a good option for those who have a tight budget but still want to fly to Paris in style.

  • Flys direct from most major US cities
  • Reasonably priced flights
  • Good selection of in-flight entertainment
  • Seats aren’t the best quality
  • Customer service can be hit or miss

4. United Airlines

Last but not least, United Airlines is a popular choice for flying to Paris. They offer direct flights from most major US cities and their prices are usually competitive.

They offer in-flight meals and snacks for all passengers, and their in-flight entertainment options are quite good.

trip from nyc to paris

United has some of the best customer service out there with helpful and friendly crew members who will do anything to make sure your flight is as comfortable as possible. I’ve flown United several times and they have always exceeded my expectations.

Out of all the airlines I’ve listed, United is one of my top picks for flying to Paris, after Air France. They have great prices, excellent customer service, and they even offer rewards points or miles if you’re a frequent flyer. If flying Air France isn’t an option for you, United is a close second for direct flights to Paris.

All in all, United is an airline that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to fly to Paris in style and comfort.

  • Direct flights from most major US cities
  • Excellent customer service
  • Rewards points for frequent flyers
  • Food options can be limited depending on the flight length

Budget airlines to fly to Paris

There are in fact budget airlines that offer flights to Paris from the US such as French Bee and Air Tahiti Nui . Although these airlines generally have cheaper prices, keep in mind that they may not provide the best experience and don’t usually include meals or snacks during your flight.

If you’re traveling on a budget but still want a comfortable flying experience to Paris, I recommend looking at the other airlines I mentioned. Air France, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines all provide excellent service at a reasonable price.

French Bee and Air Tahiti Nui

But, if you’re on a budget and don’t mind sacrificing a few creature comforts during your flight, then budget airlines like French Bee or Air Tahiti Nui can be a great choice for getting to Paris.

The frequency of flights is not as often as other major airlines, so you’ll have to factor that in when looking, depending on your travel dates.

  • Cheaper prices than other airlines
  • Limited in-flight food and entertainment options
  • Customer service may not always be good
  • Not as reliable, I’ve had my flight canceled at the last minute with French Bee even though I had booked it weeks in advance

The best airlines to fly to Paris (from Europe)

Paris is one of the most popular destinations in Europe, so it’s no surprise that there are many airlines offering flights from various countries in Europe.

The best airline for traveling to Paris from Europe depends on your budget as well as the country you’re flying from, but generally I would recommend looking at Air France or KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for long-haul flights to Paris. Both of these airlines offer direct flights and their prices are usually quite reasonable.

For shorter flights around Europe, I like Vueling and EasyJet.

These are the most popular airlines when it comes to traveling within Europe. Veuling usually offers the best prices, whereas EasyJet has a more reliable service. Both airlines provide good customer service and have decent in-flight entertainment options.

They both fly out of Paris and offer non-stop flights to major cities around Western Europe like London, Barcelona, Berlin, Rome, and more. Both airline companies also offer domestic flights from other major cities in France.

I’d recommend hopping on one of these flights and visiting the French Riviera while you’re here. it’s beautiful!

You will usually have to pay a small fee in addition to your ticket for baggage and to choose your seat, so keep that in mind when booking.

So, which airline is best for your trip to Paris?

Overall, when it comes to best airlines for flying to Paris, my number one pick is Air France.

This airline offers direct flights from major US cities to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and has some of the best prices for economy class tickets out there.

The average flight time is between 8-10 hours depending on where you’re flying from, and they offer a decent in-flight experience, with good food and a courteous crew.

Air France is also the best option for those wanting to combine business and pleasure on their trip, as they offer premium economy options that include extra legroom, priority boarding, and more.

If you’re looking for an even cheaper option (without sacrificing too much in quality), you might want to look at low-cost carriers such as French Bee. They offer flights from the US to Paris but be aware that some of their flight dates and times may not best suit your travel needs.

6:05 am :  arrive at the gate once you're ready to board, you can get something to eat in the airport or just relax near the gate

6:35 am :  prepare for boarding check your boarding pass for your group number or listen to the gate agent as they announce boarding, some airlines require you to be in the boarding area 10-15 minutes before departure or risk losing your seat

6:50 am :  board Compagnie Natl Air France flight you can scroll down to view other airlines that fly this route

7:00 am :  this is your scheduled departure time but remember flights can be delayed, so take that into account it takes the plane an average of 15 minutes to taxi to the runway

7:15 am :  wheels up! take-off from JFK fly for about 8 hours in the air

9:01 pm (local time) :   Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Paris is 6 hours ahead of New York City so the time in New York City is actually 3:01 pm taxi on the runway for an average of 15 minutes to the gate

9:16 pm (local time) :  arrive at the gate at CDG deboard the plane, and claim any baggage if you're renting a car, check if you need to take a shuttle to car rental agency, otherwise you can ride in a cab, limo, or Uber for about 42 minutes to your destination

9:58 pm (local time) :  arrive in Paris

Total travel time: 12 hours

How far is Paris from New York City? Here's the quick answer if you have a private jet and you can fly in the fastest possible straight line.

Flight distance: 3,636 miles or 5851 km

Flight time: 7 hours, 46 minutes

Compare this to a whole day of commercial travel with the airports and waiting in line for security, which ends up taking a total of 12 hours, 1 minute .

Flying private is roughly 1.7x faster , and saves you about 5 hours in your total travel time.

Because of the curvature of the Earth, the shortest distance is actually the "great circle" distance, or "as the crow flies" which is calculated using an iterative Vincenty formula. For a long distance, this appears as a curve on the map, and this is often the route that commercial airlines will take so it's a good estimate of the frequent flyer miles you'll accumulate as well.

This is a fairly long flight, so unless you have a Gulfstream G650 or your own Boeing or Airbus, you might be booking a commercial flight. In that case, your travel time would really need to include how many minutes to get to your local airport, wait for security, board and taxi on the runway, land at the other airport, and get to your destination. The flight itinerary at the top of the page takes into account all these factors to get a more accurate estimate of your actual flight time .

I am at the very beginning planning stages for my summer 2025 trip. Have any of you come across a neighborhood map that gives an idea of distance?

My family and I easily walk 20,000++ steps in NYC. We will also take the Metro, of course. My planning brain just needs a sense of distance to determine where we should stay. We don’t need to stay right in the thick of it. Using NYC as an example again, we would not stay in Midtown.

trip from nyc to paris

French competence might come into play when looking for the different titles that apply to the same street directory publication - not that difficult really:

- from my first purchase, the cover reads: Le petit Parisien - 3 plans par arrondissement - Trouver Rapidement - and across the bottom in a red banner: L'Indispensable.

There is a side bar in a vertical red banner: 3 Fois Plus Facile.

In addition, there are three maps in circles - "Le bon metro, sa station et ses access"; une address; and le bonbus et son arret".

Problem with the latter is that both the Metro and the Bus routes have changed. Look for a 2024 edition if you go with that one.

Like Dale, I also got a bus route directory - the stand alone booklet is just easier to read - "Guide des Autobus Parisiens" by A. Leconte.

You can still find affordable flights to Europe this summer

Airfare prices to amsterdam, brussels, prague and reykjavik are way down from last year.

Christina Saull and her husband have waited five years to take a 10-day cruise through the Norwegian fjords. The first time they planned the trip, it was postponed for a medical emergency. The second time, there was a family wedding. Now, finally, they were getting ready to go in July.

Only they needed plane tickets.

“It’s interesting to see how expensive fares have been and how they’ve fluctuated,” said Saull, a public relations executive who lives in Alexandria, Va.

The couple watched prices go from as little as $900 round-trip to as much as $2,500 for flights from Washington to Edinburgh, Scotland, and back from Copenhagen . They finally settled on premium economy seats for $2,000 each on Delta Air Lines and its partner Air France.

“I don’t think it’s unreasonable for summer Europe travel,” Saull said of what they paid.

Not unreasonable is a good way to describe transatlantic air travel this summer. Even with strong travel demand, tickets are cheaper on average than they were last year.

“Airfare to Europe is less expensive than last year by 10 percent,” said Hayley Berg, lead economist for flight-booking app Hopper . The average round-trip ticket before any extra fees costs $882, according to the data.

The highest fares are in June, July and August, Berg added. Traveling in shoulder months — for example, September and October — could save travelers as much as 30 percent.

Schedule data from aviation analytics firm Cirium Diio shows airlines will offer 8 percent more seats on U.S.-Europe routes from May through September than last year.

Philadelphia is gaining new nonstops to Copenhagen, Naples , and Nice, France, on American Airlines. Phoenix gets its first nonstop to Paris on Air France. Washington, a new flight to Zurich on Swiss International Air Lines. And many other routes additional flights or options on larger planes.

“In the transatlantic, we are looking forward to another strong summer,” said Glen Hauenstein, president of Delta Air Lines, referring to bookings earlier in April. He added that the airline sees “healthy demand” for seats to Europe.

Paris has flight deals, but hotels are pricey

The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics are a bump in the finely tuned machine that is summer air travel to Europe. The Games run from July 26 through Aug. 11, and the French capital is expected to host some 15 million visitors during the event and the following Paralympic Games. Last summer, the city saw more than 6.2 million visitors in July and August.

“Paris will be like an Olympic village in July and August,” said Christine Ourmières-Widener, CEO of the French airline French Bee . All of those visitors still need a way to get to the city. French Bee , which caters to leisure travelers, such as those going to the Games, has added flights from Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco to meet the demand.

Flight deals to Paris can still be found. Booking website Expedia recommends travelers buy tickets at least 21 days before their trip and, for international travel, look at departing on a Monday to find the best airfare.

Finding an affordable hotel in Paris during the Games is another matter. Expedia said it has seen a “massive surge” in searches for accommodations there this summer and recommends travelers look at nearby cities for more reasonably priced options.

Consider Nice, Prague and Reykjavik

Finn Vigeland, a transit planner who lives in Washington, was “quite surprised” last month when he found a good deal on flights to Nice, France, in July.

Prices on American Airlines’ new nonstop to Nice from Philadelphia were only $700 to $800 round-trip, he said. That was affordable enough to make a trip to France with friends possible, and he booked the flight (with points, not cash).

Average fares to Nice from the United States are down a quarter, to $907, compared with last summer, Hopper’s data shows. The city also has the distinction of being one of the few European destinations with lower airfares this summer than in 2019 — 11 percent lower, to be exact. That drop is, in part, thanks to a plethora of new flights on American, Delta and United.

Amsterdam, Brussels, Prague , and Reykjavik , Iceland, are other European cities where ticket prices from the United States are down more than 20 percent from last year, according to Hopper.

Airfares are not down double-digits in all markets, though. Fares to cities such as Berlin and Glasgow, Scotland, are on par with last year’s.

Traveler after traveler said they felt as if they could find reasonably priced plane tickets for trips between the United States and Europe this summer. Those who said they could not often lacked flexibility to adjust their trips to when and where fares are the cheapest.

“I felt like this was doable. It made sense,” Alexander Giess said of his plan to take his 10-year-old daughter on a three-week trip to France this summer.

After a lengthy search, in March the marketing executive paid about $1,000 each for two round-trip tickets to Nice from San Francisco on his preferred airline, Delta.

3 Hot List Hotels That Demand a Stay in 2024

By CNT Editors

Presented by Capital One

Every hotel winner on our 2024 Hot List makes its way there for a reason; these three properties serving are no exception. From brand-new properties The Fifth Avenue Hotel in the heart of Manhattan and the Eternal City’s 1, Place Vendôme to the just-reopened Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort on Hawaii’s Big Island, these are the new reliables where guests can make the most not just of the pristine properties but also the world of the destination around them. Here's how (and why) to spend a getaway at three of our 2024 Hot List winners, from Manhattan to Paris to Hawaii—plus what to pack for each.

The Portrait Bar at the Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York

The Portrait Bar at the Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York

The Fifth Avenue Hotel — New York City

The big hotel brands have long closed ranks in New York City along Central Park South, and most of them are great! But The Fifth Avenue Hotel, from its titular 5th Avenue address just above Madison Square Park and the world’s first Shake Shack (still a literal shack, albeit one with dreamy twinkly lights and ample outdoor seating) is a jewel box whose Mary Poppins-bag-style whimsy is made all the more impressive by its position amidst NoMad’s hustle and bustle. A five-story limestone-and-brick building with past lives first as part of a socialite’s estate and then as a bank, the hotel is storied despite its newness and fresh despite its long history. Designer Martin Brudnizki has payfully pulled at the Gilded Age, Renaissance palazzo roots with his jubilant palette and rich diversity of textures—wallpapers, rugs, and prints make an eye fat from feasting.

While a stay at The Fifth Avenue Hotel is ostensibly undertaken on some level to visit and see the Big Apple proper, stepping off the premises may prove unappealing once you’ve settled in. This is a whole world, one where the colors are richer and the people more thoughtful. After check-in, you’ll first meet your around-the-clock butler outside of your room where they await with a welcome drink and warm towel. Between 5 and 7 p.m., order a martini ritual to your room. Condescend to dine at onsite Cafe Carmellini, one of the best new restaurants in New York City. Flit out to nearby Gagosian and Fotografiska for a further art fix. It’s all that you need.

Beyond an extra suitcase to accommodate all the shopping you'll do nearby, pack whatever you feel most comfortable in—a neutral suit or little black dress to compliment the surroundings, or your most playful Rachel Comey to give the interiors a run for their money.

The exterior facade of the tony 1, Place Vendôme hotel in Paris's regally glamorous 1st arrondissement

1, Place Vendôme — Paris

Nestled above the 1st arrondissement’s Chopard boutique sits Paris’s new stealth-wealth gem of a hotel, the first from the Swiss fine jewelry maker owned by the Scheufele family. The watchmaking giant first bought the building, which dates back to 1723 (the roof and facades are protected historical monuments), a decade ago while it was still operating as another hotel, and subsequently embarked on a painstaking renovation and restoration project that birthed the beauty that exists today. With just 5 rooms and 10 suites, it’s a remarkably intimate affair. None looks like another, by the way—on one stay, you might lounge on the cobalt blue lounger of the modernist, Pop Art attic suite while the next sees you splayed out on the four-poster bed of double-height, quintessentially Parisian Appartement Chopard (the latter has its own hammam).

In the absence of an onsite restaurant, chef Boris Algarra slings his 24/7 menu (divided up between breakfast, day, and night) wherever the guest desires it—the library, the bedroom, you name it. And that’s saying nothing of the litany of fine dining found on the hotel’s doorstep—the neighborhood is the flâneur’s playground, with the Tulieres Gardens and prime shopping also a short jaunt away. Pack a good pair of walking shoes as Paris is, famously, best-walked from top to bottom with shopping bags weighing down either arm.

Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, is prized for its location and laid-back vibe

Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort — Hawai'i

The new iteration of Kona Village, now operated by the reliably resplendent Rosewood group, ticks the boxes of design, location, and service in a way that few resorts across the Hawaiian islands have brushed the ceilings of. Senior editor Rebecca Misner dubbed the property “the Platonic ideal of the ‘Hawaiian hotel’” in her review. With 150 hale, or bungalows, dotting the 81 acres of oceanfront land, it earns its name for functioning as a sort of communal haven. The favored onsite watering hole, Shipwreck, sits within the gutted schooner of the original owner. A coconut outside a guest’s bungalow door sends the same signal that a do-not-disturb sign would at a more traditional hideaway.

As a preeminent resort, Kona Village offers everything you could ever dream of within its property line—two bars, two restaurants, a spa built into the site’s lava flow, and a beach that feels so endless in large part because there’s not much else in the vicinity. But the adventurous would be wise to call up the concierge, who can arrange excursions to the town of Waimea, as well as day trips to see the waterfalls in the North and guided hikes through hidden craters. Be sure to bring along your swimsuit, sarong, and a pair of water shoes for those excursions.

Top 5 airlines serving from paris to new york.

It was a crowded flight. They did the best they could.

Super good crew... food was pretty awful- overall Delta is my favorite carrier- takes off on time, good boarding process etc.

Boarding was a little confusing as many folks were trying to get on through priority boarding instead of general. Everything else was excellent.

When checking our bags at the Virgin Atlantic counter, the employee told us that we should go to Delta because we needed to verify our passports and our names. Fortunately the employee organizing the line stopped us and asked why we didn't hand over our suitcases. He sent us to another line and told the employee that we already have the passports verified in the reservation. She understood and received our suitcases. In London they have a general waiting room, where you stay until the gate number of your flight is announced. KAYAK informed us the gate number hours before the airlines did. Just like the flight to London, the legroom is too small. abusive for a flight of so many hours.

Boarding was great. The flight landed early. It took the crew over an hour and a half to bring out drinks. I paid to upgrade my seat to Comfort+ only to be near a crying/screaming baby who was seldom quiet. Noise-cancelling earbuds didn’t even help. Waste of money to upgrade.

Seats were broken in premium select and so was monitored on my seat and other people around me

Boarding was a sh!t show. JFK BOARDING was awful. The agent called three sections at a time Clogging the area then yelling at people to not block the walk way. How are you going to call delta one , premium select and comfort plus at once and the yell at highest paying passengers. Need to do a lot better and the flight attendants in the galley need to understand that their voices travel. They were talking about others and everyone in the cabin heard them

The main person that was coordinating everything was a short white/light skin Spanish man and he was very rude. It honestly made me feel like it was everyone’s First day at work. His announcements were very not reasonable and they did not make sense. The stewardess on the flight that made the announcements she didn’t even know what she was talking about she sounded inebriated. There were no snacks or drinks on our flight there wasn’t even much turbulence. This flight was not enjoyable nor was it what a Delta flight should be and just this past week I flew with Delta 3 times.

Great flight crew, easy boarding, delicious snacks and spacious seats. Love flying delta - worth the price.

Horrible. First delta flight was delayed. I ran to my connecting flight and arrived to the gate 13 mins before departure. I told the gate agent “I’m here”, she told me flight was closed while giving my already confirmed seat to an stand by passenger. I said again “madam, I’m here with my confirmed seat” and she said “no you’re not here@ and gave two stand by people a boarding pass and let them board. I asked “madam, why do you do that?”, and she repeated “you’re not here”. That was very rude. I’m disappointed of delta. It used to have a good customer service. Things have changed, but not for good.

Medíocre. The food wasn't good (although not bad, bad) and the staff wasn't kind. I asked for n extra blanket, the steward never came back, serving us roughly.

Excellent apart from transport to actual plane 10 minutes from the actual gate , walking out in the tarmac in the rain and having to climb stairs to enter while holding luggage.

They wanted to close counter although they did not provide the wheelchair requested which ended by going alone to transit security and lost long time and they did not want to wait .

They charge me for luggage which is was included on the ticket

Good aorcraft 777 but Worst food ever Breakfast was a bû’with matonnaise… Staff was nice but invisible most of the flight

Everything went smoothly with Air France. There was a delay in departure which seemed to relate to the immigration services being short staffed.

Food could have been better especially the breakfast. Overall it was a good flight

No bording was given for next trip on same carrier, food was very moderate.

Lost luggage, 2 bags were badly damaged and one of the bags came open.

A couple of minor delays in boarding but very professional and efficient staff.

Not being able to get a different seat with above average height unless I would pay for a seat ($41). Poor included beverage choice. Food: I’m am not picky in terms of food but that was the most horrific set of options ever experienced, for me and my fellow passengers. In my row no one was able to finish their food. Literal dog-grade chow. If you want to be cheap, at this point provide us with actual COMBAT RATIONS. You would save money, passengers would get enough food and better taste.

Nice travel , but would have been better if luggage was included in the price and not an extra charge..

Norse Atlantic is the worst airline I’ve ever traveled with, and i travel a lot. First, they made me check my carry on duffle (never had a problem before) because my backpack they said “isn’t a personal item”. It fits under the seat so yes it is a personal item. $125€ for the duffle and $125€ for my wife’s checked bag, $250€ for two bags, RIPOFF! Once on the flight we got delayed 45mins because the attendants/airline were giving a handicap gentleman a hard time about his scooter which they had already given him permission to bring on board. He also stated he’s never had this problem, & after a lengthy discussion they finally realized they were wrong since it wasn’t ion battery operated and he had all the paperwork. Eventually they allowed him to stow it above his seat which they watched his wife struggle with for over a minute before they helped her. Also, Make sure you purchase food in advance! This airline is EVERYTHING for purchase, from WATER to SNACKS to BLANKETS. Yes, WATER. International flight and not a single thing free. People were literally lining up to the bathroom with empty water bottles to fill up in the sink. The Aircraft was criminally FREEZING as if they intentionally jacked up the air so people would buy $7€ blankets. People were changing into layers in the bathroom & bringing down their carry-ons so they could find layers in their suitcases. Those that didn’t have layers in their bag or had to check their bags had to endure an 8.5hr torture session from Rome to JFK. Add all that to the ridiculous timing of turning on the lights (red eye) so they could come down the aisle with duty “free” options for purchase. A hot topic between passengers while waiting to deboard/get through customs. I wouldn’t fly Norse Atlantic Airways again if they paid me.

I payed for luggage but there was additional luggage charge this wasn’t clear when i purchased.

The crew from Norse was absolutely great! Friendly, respectful and professional! They helped me resolve my baggage issue in Fiumicino, which was a long process and one of the counter girls was her first day at work 😌 they were all great. And later, when they found my 87 year old mom who got completely lost at Fiumicino in a different terminal, all by herself.. they were patient and kind and treated everyone with respect and care. Grazie Norse!!

Crew was excellent, very friendly and professional. Seating was very tight…I’m not a tall person and my knees were touching the seat in front of me. A little bit more legroom would be great.

Chaotic check in. It took an extra hour to haul all across large LAX airport three different times back & fourth. Had no access to duty free shop.

Great flight for great price. Only thing they need is on board Wi-Fi and an app.

It was cold, blankets would have been a big plus.

Airline was unable to check me in, even though I had a valid US visa which they called to confirm. Their system still did not allow check in. If you have a visa don’t travel on this airline. Will be seeking a refund.

did not get the seats we had specially paid for

This is a no frills airline. You cant expect much for the price. Low cost flight, clean, nice staff. That's all I need for the price. If you want more, book with another airline and pay more. For Europe trips, PLAY is the ONLY airline I use

Misleading instructions for check in. Although I did virtual check in and was instructed to head to security, once I was at security, they told me to go back to Play ticket counter and get paper tickets. Also, beware that Play doesn’t participate in TSA PreCheck. I didn’t know that, despite entering PreCheck info when I purchased the tickets. I wasted time in the TSA PreCheck line as well. So we had two setbacks at check in.

It's a budget airline, so forewarned is forearmed. Yes, you pay for everything like carry-on, checked baggage, seat selection, but that's becoming the case with major airlines. Bringing your own snacks and entertainment on board is highly recommended. It's no frills, but the crew, the plane and the flight itself was great. If you want pampering go for a larger airline. If you just want to get from A to B in comfort and safety, Play is a great choice.

It is a low cost airline. Staff are courteous. There is no entertainment. Food is purchased.

Upon boarding, the people at the gate were extremely rude, there were no outlets on a 6 hour international flight, there was no entertainment, all food and drink was purchase only (even snacks), and my seat reclining function was fully broken. The only redeeming quality was the flight attendants were extremely nice. This was by far the worst flight I have ever been on in my entire life

I don’t know how international flights can’t have media screens to keep people entertained for the long flight. Ugh.

Typical experience for budget airline. Boarding from KEF required bus transit from the gate to plane, so if you had "priority boarding" it was useless as it was simply a free-for-all when getting off the bus. But still no issues with getting our luggage into overhead bin so not really a problem.

Was very apprehensive about flying Play, but the flight was fine. Nothing special, nothing horrible. Fair price to get from New York to Iceland.

I wasn’t able to check in online the day before or the day of because their web configuration or business model idk. I arrived an hour early and check was closed and there was no one around to speak to and eventually was told there was no possible way to get a digital ticket despite I had no luggage to check and would have easily made it through security to boarding and had to pay for a new ticket for $330 ontop of the $169 I spend for the ticket and then I missed my rental car for $305 because I only arrived at midnight instead of noon that I was originally intended. All booked through kayak. I hope there is some kind of insurance from kayak because this was totally preventable had I not been blocked by play air from getting my check in and plane ticket.

everything is an extra cost on this flight, you need to pay to have a your children sit next to you (they won’t change the seat for your kids to sit next to you without charging you), food is an extra you need to pay for on a 12 hour flight, no drinks or snacks throughout the flight, the media selection is subpar and your phone has more options

Many families including ours we seated separately. For kids entertainment only 2 cartoons for 11 hour flight. Checked bag $100 each. Everything else was fine

The boarding process was completely disorganized, adding avoidable stress, and the airline's business model is tight spaces, but seats that recline more to make sleep easier in economy. The passenger behind us did not understand that and shook our chair saying we're reclining too much. We immediately brought the flight attendants in to mediate and deescalate the situation, and they didn't. The passenger behind us kept harassing my wife throughout the 8 hour flight. They should be better trained in this regard if this is the airline's business model and promise to passengers like us who review leg space and reclining angles before purchasing a fare on the airline.

The orthopedic sits, no room to move, no reclining, was horrible and because that I'm still in pain and aches in my whole body

Seats were uncomfortable. Lower back support would be nice. It was the usual for an airplane. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Even my kids said the food was good! Nice to get a blanket and set of earbuds.

Flight got canceled, took us 3 hrs in line to give us vouchers for hotel and meals, which was chaotic and then went to hotel and the voucher did not work at hotel, had to pay and apply for reimbursement and waiting for payment

Better than expected from a low cost airline! The food, seat and overall experience was great! I would fly with them again.

We were there on time we checked in early online and when we got to the airport we only had one code ticket and not the other one, the people at the desk didn’t want to print the other ticket since we didn’t have it on the phone

Missing man thought to have taken raft trip down Colorado River with his Welsh corgi

Missing Person bulletin for Thomas Lee Robison.

A New Mexico man has gone missing, and is last thought to have taken a raft trip down the Colorado River with his dog. National Park Police say his abandoned 2001 Toyota Tacoma was found on April 21 at Lee's Ferry in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

Thomas Lee Robison is thought to have taken that raft trip with his Welsh corgi on a raft he constructed himself, police say. Authorities said they did not have many more leads on Robison's whereabouts days after he was last seen, and released recent images of Robinson and his dog to urge the public to help.

Robison is 58 years old with brown hair and hazel eyes, is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds, according to a Missing Person bulletin posted online by park officials . Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Grand Canyon Dispatch at (928) 638-7805. The National Park Service said it had been conducting a missing person search within Grand Canyon National Park.

The Colorado River, along with three smaller tributaries, supplies water to the Lake Mead reservoir just outside of Las Vegas. The river is well-known for supplying adventure seekers with some significant whitewater rapids, and if it were possible — as Western River Expeditions puts it — the sizable waterway would take rafters past five national parks if traveled all the way through.

Groups have tracked numerous accidents and drownings in the Grand Canyon and along the Colorado River over the decades, including in an analysis supplied by one accident attorney firm . Adventure seekers are urged to always wear life vests and to be prepared in a number of ways for the rough rapids of the river and the cold water temperatures.

Park authorities continued their search for Robison through Thursday and continued to ask for the public's help with any leads on his whereabouts and how to make contact with the Santa Fe man.

Breaking news, french musician becomes first-ever passenger inside flying car: ‘amazing experience’.

A flying car company made history this week by taking the world’s first car flight with a passenger in what could be the future of transportation.

Legendary French electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre became the first to hitch such a ride, soaring twice through the Slovakian skies in KleinVision’s AirCar in front of captivated onlookers.

“One second you speak to the driver, and next, you are up there in the air. An amazing experience,” Jarre, 75, told Sky News .

Video released by the company shows the sleek, winged sportscar speeding down the runway on four wheels before suddenly, like something out of a sci-fi flick, it’s airborne, climbing into the sky. Jarre can be seen beaming in the passenger seat.

The vehicle, invented and piloted by Professor Stefan Klein transforms from an automobile to a flight-ready aircraft in just minutes.

The AirCar was approved for flight in 2022 following more than 200 successful takeoffs and landings. The record-breaking vehicle became the first flying car to complete an intercity flight in 2021.

KleinVision’s co-founder Anton Zajac said he hopes it will be market-ready in a year.

The car runs on a 1.6 liter BMW engine — but Zajac said he hopes to run on batteries when the technology catches up.

It flies at speeds of up to 120 mph at altitudes up to 8,000 feet high, The Sun reported.

“We are bridging the gap between the road and the sky, giving cars the freedom they symbolized 50 years ago,” Zajac said in a statement.

In addition to a driver’s license, those interested in operating the AirCar must also complete a specialized two-to-three month flying course, according to Sky News.

Meanwhile in the US, SpaceX-backed Alef Aeronautics, a Silicon Valley-based startup, announced last month it received nearly 3,000 pre-orders for its Model A flying car totalling more than $850 million.

The 850-pound, two-seat car, first unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show last year , is an electrical vertical takeoff and landing vehicle (eVTOL) capable of reaching speeds of 110 miles per hour in the air and up to 35 miles per hour on the ground.

It was approved for air travel in limited locations by the Federal Aviation Administration last year but still needs approval from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to hit the roads.

Last year the FAA published a report  titled “Concept of Operations: Urban Air Mobility” which envisioned “air taxis” operating within corridors between vertiports built in city centers and airports.
