CAFA prequalifies each Designated Grantee as an eligible recipient of CAFA grants. Grand Prize Details : Winner and guest will receive a 9 night/10 day “Australia Highlights” tour from Kensington Tours. Trip includes round-trip flights, accommodations in Sydney, Port Douglas and Melbourne, transportation between cities and various activity options. Winner will also receive a $2,000 USD stipend. (the "Grand Prize").

Omaze may permit Winner to receive a cash alternative prize in the amount of $13,500 (United States Dollars) in Winner’s sole discretion (the “Cash Option”). If Winner elects the Cash Option, Winner will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes. Winner must make decision between accepting either the Grand Prize or the Cash Option no later than December 31, 2021. Winner's decision between accepting either the Grand Prize or Cash Option is final and cannot be changed for any reason. Winner Confirmation Process:

Within 10 business days of campaign close, we’ll use an automated random drawing process to draw a potential winner(s) for that campaign. A confirmation process, which may include a background check, will then take place to ensure the potential winner meets the legal standards required. Winner and, if applicable, their guest(s) agree to cooperate fully with Omaze in Omaze conducting any background check(s), which includes providing information requested by Omaze including, but not limited to, full legal names and addresses. Fundraising Transparency

This Experience is part of a fundraising campaign for Charities Aid Foundation America (“CAF America”), which is a globally recognized United States 501(c)(3) public charity (Federal Tax ID # 43-1634280). CAF America retains exclusive control over all donations raised in this Experience.

(a) How it works: Omaze and CAF America work together to offer incredible Experiences, like this one. You don’t have to donate to enter, but if you do, 100% of your donation goes to CAF America, who then distributes the donations, minus the Experience fees and costs, to the nonprofit(s) identified on the experience page (the “Designated Grantee(s)”). Our model allows CAF America and the non-profit grantees to spend less time worrying about raising funds and instead focus their energy on doing awesome work.

(b) Where your donation goes: For Omaze Owned Experiences, like this one, 15% of the total donations goes to the Designated Grantee(s) via a grant from CAF America. (If there are multiple Designated Grantees, then this amount is equally distributed to each). CAF America retains a small percentage of the total donations (less than 1%) to cover its own operating costs. Omaze uses the remaining amount to pay for the Experience costs, such as Prize costs, payment processing fees, and advertising to awesome people like you, and to cover our operating costs of providing and maintaining the technology and team that makes this all happen. Owned Experiences have higher costs associated with prizing and promotion, which is why a larger percentage goes to Experience costs.

(c) Designated Grantee Eligibility: Before every Experience, CAF America confirms the Designated Grantee(s) as eligible to receive grants. In the rare case where, after the launch of an Experience but before distribution of the donations, a Designated Grantee fails to maintain eligibility (per CAF America’s grant-making policies and/or applicable laws), then CAF America may (i) withhold distribution of the donations until the Designated Grantee is eligible or (ii) reassign the donations to another nonprofit that supports a similar cause. If CAF America reassigns the donations to an alternate organization, the Experience page will be updated to identify what entity(ies) received the grant(s).

(d) When will the Designated Grantee get the money? Omaze sends 100% of donations from this Experience to CAF America within 2 business days of Omaze’s receipt of the donation. The speed at which CAF America distributes the donations to the Designated Grantee(s) depends on the classification of the Experience and can be anywhere from 2 weeks after Omaze received your donation to 90 days from the close of the Experience. In circumstances where a Designated Grantee fails to maintain eligibility to receive grants, the above grant distribution timeframes may be impacted.

For Experiences where the grant amount is a percentage of total donations (e.g., Premiere and Owned Experiences), CAF America will distribute the donations via multiple grants throughout the duration of the Experience, usually within 10-15 business days following CAF America’s receipt of donations from Omaze. 

For Experiences where the grant amount is a percentage of Adjusted Donations (total donations minus Experience costs), CAF America will distribute donations after reconciliation of all Experience costs (usually within 15-90 days following the close of the Experience).

Total ARV of all prizes in this Sweepstakes is $20,000 USD (approximately 16,000 GBP)

Travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Travel dates are subject to Sponsor approval, which Sponsor may give or withhold in its sole discretion. Reservations are subject to availability. Trip must be booked at least thirty (30) days prior to intended departure date. Please note that any public location where people are present provides an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19, and Promoter cannot guarantee that any person will not be exposed during a visit. Sponsor is not liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation or delay or any weather or airline issues that prevent the Prize winner and his/her travel companions, if applicable, from traveling, in which event any missed portion of the Prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided. Further, for the avoidance of doubt, Sponsor is not responsible in any manner if the Prize Draw cannot take place or if any Prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, public health crises, epidemics, pandemics, travel restrictions, government restrictions or bans, acts of public authorities, weather or acts of terrorism . Seven Helpful Tips to Enter Free Competitions Australia

First, some useful advice for entering competitions in Australia and being successful in your quest. 

Tip 1: Spend time on your favourite socials every day.

Facebook and Instagram play host to LOTS of different competitions that you won’t find here, as it’s simply not possible to list all the influencers and what brands they are collaborating with today. 

We won our trip to the Blue Mountains via an Instagram post I saw last minute before bed. It pays to look and enter a few every day.

Keep in the loop!

Tip 2: Enter as many different competitions as you can.

Even for ones where the prize is not something you need or want.

Unwanted prizes or a gift pack make great gifts for:

• co-workers, colleagues, and other people you’d like to share a little kindness with (the local doctor, your postie, your garbage man) 
• raffle prize donations for your local school fete
• gift vouchers for community groups
• kids birthday presents, and 
• someone you want to treat

Or you can treat your friends and family by taking them on the adventure with you, like we did on our winning trip to the Blue Mountains.  

Tip 3: Look for competitions with LOTS of prizes.

Tip 4: Enter the competitions that others probably don’t bother with. 

I loved the Woolworths X Lion King promotion where you could win a trip for 4 to Disney World competition.

This was a purchase necessary competition, and those who wanted to enter had to buy a particular combination of products to get their lucky code. 

This competition had three barriers for entries:

• the purchase of certain tagged products (especially as compers might not actually need to buy these things in a normal food shop)
• the need to go online to add your unique code (who has time?)
• keeping the receipt as proof (minimalists HATE keeping unnecessary receipts) 

Those barriers meant the odds of winning were much higher than normal!

Tip 5: Best time to enter contests

The best time to enter competitions is at the end of the tax year:

• December in America
• April in the UK, and
• June in Australia.

This is the end of when companies are using up the last of their yearly advertising spend.  

Tip 6: Make use of Autofill settings

Use your Autofill settings to fill out your competition entry forms automatically so you don’t have to enter all your details, over and over again.

Autofill enables you to store certain data in the computer, and adds it on your behalf when ‘info required’ fields appear. 

Visit settings on either Chrome, Safari or Firefox or your browser and click ‘manage autofill settings’.

Add your name, phone, street address, postcode, country, and email address. 

Tip 7: Be mindful of scams, & read the terms and conditions

Take care when reading the terms & conditions of all the competitions you enter.

In particular, check for things that can disqualify your entry, for example, entering more than once, when only once is allowed. 

Also, if something seems to good to be true, it is.

Don’t give over your details to anyone or any website that makes you stop and question. 

Don’t do it.

1) The Promotion opens at 12.01am on 30 April 2024 and closes at 11.59pm on 31 May 2024 ( Promotion Period ).

How to Enter

Prize Conditions

13) Travel blackout dates and seasonality closures apply. Tour Conditions

21) All tours are subject to availability and the tour operator’s terms and conditions, and are subject to change based on the operator’s operational capabilities.

22) Tours require a minimum number of participants to operate.

23) A maximum weight of 120kg per person applies to the extended helicopter flight.

24) Enclosed shoes are required for the helicopter flight.

25) Some tours may not be able to accommodate wheelchair/limited mobility participants.

26) The Promoter takes no responsibility for any failure or delay in delivering the Prize but will provide reasonable assistance in cases where the Prize is not received by the Prize winner.

27) These terms and conditions (including the Promotion Period) may be amended and the Promotion terminated at any time by the Promoter.

28) The Promoter’s decisions on all entry and Promotion matters are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

29) The Promoter will collect and hold personal information provided by you when you enter this Promotion, for the purposes of this Promotion and for future promotional purposes. STANDARD PROMOTION OR COMPETITION RULES

Definitions

‘NZME’ means all companies in the NZME Group including but not limited to NZME Holdings Limited, NZME Publishing Limited, NZME Radio Limited and all brands and operating companies controlled by or associated with those entities.

The ‘Promoter’ is NZME

‘Disqualified Participants’ are:

(a) all NZME employees, all employees of participating sponsors or promoters and/or advertising agencies and their Immediate Families and flatmates;

(b) all people under the age of 18 years where the prize incorporates air travel or any other element which would be illegal to supply to a person under the age of 18 years;

(c) all people who have won a prize from the channel/station running this promotion in the last 14 days. If the previously won prize was valued at over $1000 the winner must stand-down from entering for a period of 90 days.

‘Immediate Families’ include spouses, grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren, whether by marriage, past marriages, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other family extension.

1. These Promotion or Competition Rules (‘the Rules’ ) apply to all NZME Promotions or Competitions (collectively the ‘Promotion’ ) conducted on or off air and by means of any medium – online, radio, print, or a connected device.

8. NZME reserve the right to refuse to award any prize to an entrant who NZME decide (at their discretion) have violated the Rules (including the Specific Rules), gained unfair advantage in participating in the Promotion or won using fraudulent means.

9. By participating, entrants grant NZME exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, videos, voices and likeness in connection with the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.

10. All entrant personal details must be valid and up to date and will be held by NZME and may be used for the purpose of the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes in accordance with NZME Privacy Policy (see www.NZME.co.nz ) unless otherwise directed by contestants at the time of entry.

11. Personal information provided at the time of entry is presumed to be true and, in the case of text or email notification – active, through to and beyond the date of the Promotion’s completion.

12. Where the Promotion involves texting, the following apply:

a) Standard sms text charges will apply, unless otherwise stated in the Specific Rules and will depend on the entrant’s particular plan or agreement with their phone service provider;

b) Any form of automated text message is invalid;

c) The telephone number from which the entry was made will be stored in a database. The entrant has a two-business-day period from the time of entry to request removal from the database. If no request is made it is deemed acceptance that the information can be used for future promotion and marketing purposes; and

d) NZME takes no responsibility for text costs incurred after the Promotion has closed as stipulated in the Specific Rules.

13. Only the person who originally entered the Promotion can be awarded the prize (the ‘Winner’ ).

14. The Winner will be determined in the manner set out in the Rules or the Specific Rules – if not specified then as determined by the Promoter who shall for this purpose be deemed the judge (the ‘Judge’ ).

15. The Judge’s determination of the Winner will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. The Winner will be notified by email, phone (voice or text), mail or in person and must be available for the preparation of all publicity that may be required by NZME. Where attempts to contact the Winner fail (eg when the Winner cannot be contacted by phone after three attempts or mail sent is returned) the Judge will select another winner. If, after successful notification, the prize is not collected within two months of being announced it will be regarded as forfeit. (Note: 3 attempts to contact the Winner will include individual calls to any numbers provided at the time of entry. However, should the prize’s total worth equal less than NZD$250 and be a live-to-air draw, only one failed attempt at contact will be acceptable before the Judge selects another winner.)

17. The Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No other family members, friends, office associates or any other person will be able to participate on the Winner’s behalf. In the event that the Prize specified in the Competition becomes unavailable for any reason the Promoter may substitute a prize of like or equal value.

18. Where the Winner is required to claim the prize in person, they must provide proper identification (eg driver’s licence, passport, birth certificate). If the Winner is under the age of 18 years their parent or legal guardian must accompany the Winner or give their prior written consent to the award of the Prize.

19. The Winner takes the Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies NZME in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the prize. The Winner is responsible for all insurance, tax or other costs that may be associated with the Prize. Where the Prize has associated terms and conditions the Winner accepts the Prize subject to those terms and conditions and restrictions.

20. The prize will be sent out within 14 working days if not discussed otherwise.

21. Where the Prize includes air travel and/or accommodation, either international or domestic (the ‘Travel Prize’ ):

(1) the Winner MUST have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and Visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination.

(a) Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities (including any costs associated with delay, will be the sole responsibility of the Winner).

(b) When the Travel Prize includes travel to or through the United States, it is the Winner’s responsibility when travelling into or through (transiting included) the United States under the Visa Waiver Program to apply for an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) no later than 72 hours prior to departure if required. The winner must visit the US Department of Homeland Security website and fill in the required information. The cost of the ESTA is the sole responsibility of the Winner.

(2) The Winner and their travelling companion (if applicable) must travel together at all times. The Winner is responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest international airport for flight departure and from their nearest international airport to their residence upon returning to New Zealand.

(3) Flight tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. The flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on the airline’s departure city and their current flight schedule. Unless otherwise specified, the air travel is economy class.

(4) Any changes to travel dates or additional accommodation outside the travel period specified in the Travel Prize details, made by the winner, which incur additional costs, are to be paid by the Travel Prize winner.

(5) Unless explicitly stated in the Specific Rules, the Winner will be responsible for expenses including, but not limited to, spending money, meals, drinks, transport, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any other flight associated taxes included within the Travel Prize), gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Travel Prize. The Winner must obtain travel insurance to protect themselves against additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

(6) The Travel Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Travel Prize must be taken as stated in the Specific Rules and no compensation will be payable if the Winner is unable to use the Travel Prize as stated. For the avoidance of doubt, if the Winner is, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date during this period, whether the failure was due to reasons beyond the Winner’s control or otherwise, then the Winner will forfeit the Travel Prize.

(7) The Promoter makes no representation as to safety, conditions and other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including government, local consular offices and the web site of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The winner accepts the Travel Prize at their own risk.

(8) All travel is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of the Travel Prize service providers. Any travelling companion included in the Travel Prize (if applicable) accepts the Travel Prize subject to these terms, conditions and restrictions as if references to the Winner in the relevant clauses were to the travelling companion. The Winner and their travelling companion must sign a legal release, in a form acceptable to the Promoter in its absolute discretion, if requested by the Promoter.

NZME Responsibility

22. NZME reserve the right to amend, vary, extend or discontinue a Promotion at any stage, for any reason.

23. NZME take no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude the Promotion due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, texts with a misspelt keyword, texts to an incorrect shortcode, Force Majeure or otherwise.

24. To the fullest extent permitted by law NZME will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of Promotion entry or winning the prize.

25. Delta Is Giving Away an Epic Trip to the Paris Olympics This Summer — but You Have to Enter Soon

The Paris Olympics is a sought-after ticket this summer, but Delta Vacations is making sure one lucky sports fan gets there in style with a free vacation package to see Team USA in the City of Lights.

The grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to the Paris Olympic Games, Delta Vacations shared in a statement with Travel + Leisure , complete with round-trip main cabin Delta flights, a 6-night stay at a 5-star hotel in Paris, and tickets to six Olympic Games sessions, including the closing ceremony, men’s marathon swimming (which is expected to take place in the Seine ), beach volleyball, and more. The giveaway sweepstakes is open to travelers 21 years old and older through 11:59 p.m. ET on April 24.

Olympic fans must follow @deltavacations on Instagram to enter and comment on the sweepstakes post with their favorite vacation memory. Entrants must tag a friend in the post and use the hashtag “#DeltaVacationsSweepstakes.” The sweepstakes is limited to one entry per person.

The Olympic Games are set to kick off on July 26, and tickets are increasingly hard to come by. Travelers hoping to book a package for the games can still do so with the official hospitality partner, On Location , including packages with a hotel included.

Travelers who book an official hospitality package will also be able to visit the Team USA House , located inside the historic Palais Brongniart building. In the past, the Team USA House was reserved for athletes, their guests, and VIPs.

Beyond the Olympics, travelers who book a trip with Delta Vacations can save big since Delta Air Lines SkyMiles are worth at least 15 percent more when used to book a Delta Vacations trip. Travelers can also use those miles to cover the entire cost of a trip, including when booking hotels, transportation, and excursions.

Poifect time for SA trip?

Poifect has produced a strong second-up win at Flemington on Anzac Day, fending off a wall of challengers to win the 1400 metre Colonel Sybil Irving MBE against older horses.

The daughter of Pierro had to cross from gate 10 under Michael Dee, no easy feat over the tricky Flemington 1400m course, but did so to sit outside the unbeaten Liberty State ($2.15).

Poifect was travelling better than the favourite upon straightening and found a length buffer when the sprint went on, with Intrepid Eagle ($7) chasing hard in behind.

Patrick Payne’s Hard To Cross made ground first-up, while Zamborghini and Smart Deel also closed well, but all honours were with the winner, who kept that length margin to the line.

With the impressive second-up win under her belt, a trip to South Australia could now beckon for the talented three-year-old, who has won two of her six starts so far.

“We were really pleased with her first-up run, she just ran into one better on the day,” he said.

“The way she trained on, the extra 200 metres and a good ride from Michael Dee really helped her today… it’s really good to see her win.

“She’s always been a filly we’ve had a high opinion of, but she’s a lengthy, immature type, she’s taken time to show her best.

“Hopefully now, we can look to maybe go to South Australia, target a nice race over there, and have some fun with her.”

On Thursday’s effort, Hayes feels another slight rise in distance will suit Poifect as she steps up in grade.

“Today’s effort was good, we left it to Mick out of the gates and I’m glad he made a good decision to roll forward,” he said.

“We always thought she’d be a really good miler, so we’ll probably look to step her out off of that. I thought it was a very good effort, she had to do it at both ends.

“She’s a filly that’s just taken a time to really fill out. This prep, she’s looking a lot stronger and mentally she’s a bit better as well.

“It’s all starting to click as well… hopefully we can get another good result for the ownership group.”
