Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Touches Down in New Jersey

The pop megastar’s first of three shows at MetLife Stadium featured an appearance from the rising rapper Ice Spice, a fan-favorite song and loads of sequins.

Reporting from East Rutherford, N.J.

On Friday afternoon, a seemingly endless parade of Taylor Swift fans wearing flowery dresses, sparkly cowboy boots, sequined T-shirts and handmade friendship bracelets made their way to East Rutherford, N.J., turning the vast asphalt parking lot at MetLife Stadium into a pop-up performance space, a fashion runway and a meeting ground for friends, old and new.

Two months and 25 shows after the pop megastar’s career-spanning Eras Tour began, the show arrived in the New York area for three weekend dates — her first concerts near (but not quite in) her adopted hometown in five years.

“I really, really missed you!” Swift told the sold-out crowd of more than 72,000 people.

And they had missed her.

One young woman announced that she was crying tears of joy as she strode down a tunnel leading to the parking lot. Two fans with tickets to Saturday’s concert who had traveled from Costa Rica came hoping to see Swift on Friday as well. A woman in an “I ❤️ T.S.” shirt refused an interview request, admitting that she teaches at a public school and was not supposed to be at the stadium on a Friday afternoon.

Even getting into the parking lot required dedication — and a potentially pricey ticket.

Six months after ‌a Ticketmaster presale filled with snags, a single seat at the show on Friday was available on the secondary market for no less than $1,000. The astronomical costs led Swift’s loyal fans, known as Swifties, to band together to help each other find tickets at fair prices.

Charlie Tokieda, 39, of Brooklyn, got face-value tickets to Friday’s show by waiting online during the presale, and he bought another pair of tickets on the secondary market to a show in Denver to celebrate his birthday in July.

“We did get a great deal, and that great deal could have bought a pretty nice used car,” he said.

On Friday afternoon, security guards in orange shirts stood near the gates that formed a perimeter around the parking lot and demanded to see proof of admission before stepping aside. It was part of an effort to crack down on “ Taylor-gating, ” — hanging out in the lot and listening to the concert without a ticket — which MetLife Stadium said would not be allowed.

Maria Naeem, 32, who arrived via Uber around 9:30 a.m. and slipped into the parking lot unnoticed, was among the smattering of fans and chaperones who remained outside as Swift was preparing to go onstage. Naeem, a doctor, had asked two colleagues to cover her shift and driven from Virginia in hopes of buying a ticket at will call.

“They’re not selling, and everything online is very expensive,” she said, disappointed.

Many of Swift’s most dedicated followers dressed in D.I.Y. costumes , resembling the singer during different moments of her career. One fan draped herself in a pink-and-white “Taylor Swift 2024” flag. Others sported skirts that featured snakes, a reference to Swift’s 2017 album, “Reputation.”

Robert Pszybylski, 19, of Long Island, wore a flowery shirt inspired by Swift’s 2021 Grammys dress , more or less custom-made for the concert.

“I kept Googling ‘3-D embroidered floral fabric,’” he said. “I ordered off Etsy from China. It took a month to get here.”

Even those who were not fortunate enough get tickets found other ways to take part in Taylor Mania.

For months, fans with and without tickets have been obsessed with procuring concert merchandise , sometimes camping out overnight to get first dibs on the most coveted items. Perhaps in anticipation of a mad rush to vendors, MetLife Stadium’s flagship store began dispensing merch a full day early.

But those efforts did little to shorten the lines on Friday, when, in addition to a prized blue crew neck sweatshirt , fans were hoping to take home a new special edition “Midnights” CD (yes, a CD!) that included a remix of the ‌song “Karma,” featuring the up-and-coming Bronx rapper Ice Spice .

Near the end of the show, Swift premiered the remix’s video starring Ice Spice, announcing that while in the studio, she “not only fell in love with her, but just decided she’s the entire future.” The rapper later joined Swift onstage to debut the remix and close the show. Cue a fresh round of frenzied screaming.

Though she has played about 40 of the same tracks during each three-hour-plus set, Swift has also unveiled a handful of “surprise songs” to keep delighted fans on their toes.

On Friday, she invited her frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff to perform “Getaway Car,” a fan favorite from “Reputation,” then took a seat at a piano for “Maroon” from “Midnights,” the most recent of the four albums she has released since her last tour.

The LP, she said, was about “nights throughout my life,” “things that kept me up” and “memories you keep going back to.”

“Maroon,” she said, was about a memory from — you guessed it:

And I lost you The one I was dancin’ with In New York, no shoes Looked up at the sky and it was maroon

eras tour dates new jersey

Taylor Swift opened the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — which rebranded itself as "Swift Cit y" for the March 17 and 18 concerts — with a triumphant return to live performance as the first act in the history of that venue to sell out two nights on the same tour.

By that point, she'd already broken the all-time record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day and passed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour as the highest-grossing tour in history by a female artist.

And Swift rose to the occasion , leading her band through a marathon 44-song set that lasted more than three hours while delivering on her promise of "a journey through all of my musical eras."

So what does she do for an encore? Here's where the Eras Tour is headed next, adding two surprise songs to the set at each show. Here's a look at what she's played so far .

Attention Swifties: What to know about Taylor Swift Eras Tour at MetLife Stadium

WABC logo

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (WABC) -- Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift fans know all too well that her much-anticipated Eras Tour kicked off the first of three shows in the Tri-State Area on Friday.

There will also be shows Saturday and Sunday at MetLife Stadium, but they have a message for fans to avoid any bad blood : tickets are required to enter the parking lot.

The message comes two weeks after about 20,000 fans who did not have tickets gathered in the parking lot at Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia to sing along to her songs.

"For the safety and enjoyment of all those who have tickets for these shows, we strongly encourage those without tickets not to come to MetLife Stadium on show days," a statement said.

Officials warned concert tickets are required to access parking lots which will be at maximum capacity on the nights of the shows.

And New Jersey State Police also advised against no "Taylor-gating" for those who don't have tickets.

The shows begin at 6:30 p.m. each night, but parking lots will open at 12:30 p.m. and gates will open at 4:30 p.m.

Governor Phil Murphy warned Swifties to leave early for the show.

"We've literally got three Super Bowls this weekend, the thing I would say to folks is to get there early, enjoy yourselves, but do so responsibly," he said.

Be warned, fans without an event ticket will be turned away and tickets will not be sold at the stadium.

According to StubHub, the cheapest ticket available for Friday's Taylor Swift concert goes for $1,454 and the most expensive ticket goes for $9,084. However, if you'd like to go with a friend and sit next to them, make sure to breathe because there are tickets going for $143,753 each in section 6, row 11.

A clear bag policy is in effect. Banners and signs smaller than 11" x 17" are allowed.

For a list of prohibited items, visit MetLife's website .

To the lucky fans who snagged tickets to the show, make sure to shake it off and we hope it meets your wildest dreams .

And for those who can't make it to any of the shows, you can still partake in the festivities by enjoying the new official state sandwich: a Taylor Swift Ham, Egg, and Cheese. Gov. Phil Murphy declared the breakfast sandwich the official state sandwich in honor of the tour.

Getting Into the Show: It's a "One-Way" Ticket

MetLife Stadium says tickets are valid for one scan only; there is no re-entry. If you're saying to yourself, "how'd we end up on the floor anyway?" Fans with floor tickets (Sections 1-15) can use any gate for entry and head to HCL Tech Plaza for floor entry.

Be sure to "Pick Up the Phone" because MetLife gate attendants will be looking for the Ticketmaster App. Have your mobile ticket downloaded, out and ready before getting into the security line.

The stadium said it will "strongly encourage" those without tickets to not come to MetLife during days of the show.

How to Get There: Will You Need a "Getaway Car"?

New Jersey Transit is urging Swifties to purchase round-trip train tickets in advance , ideally on the NJ Transit app. However, NJ Transit says they will not cap the number of tickets sold.

According to their website, fans traveling on NJ Transit trains to MetLife Stadium should purchase their roundtrip tickets from their originating station to Meadowlands Station to avoid boarding delays. Tickets purchased on the train will include a $5 surcharge for each ticket.

MetLife Stadium says NJ Transit service will operate from Secaucus to MetLife Stadium starting at 4:07 p.m. on Friday and 4:17 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Coach USA Bus, the 351 Meadowlands Express, will operate from Port Authority in NYC to MetLife Stadium starting at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Return service to Port Authority runs for 60 minutes after the concert ends. Tickets are available here .

If You're Driving, Will You Need to Park "Behind the Mall"?

MetLife Stadium says you must have a ticket corresponding to that evening's show for access to all parking lots. Lots open at 12:30 p.m. the day of each show. It's $40 per car, $100 per limousine and $160 per bus.

Credit cards and cash are accepted. Reminder: the rest of the stadium is cashless. Only credit and debit are accepted.

If we've learned anything from TikTok, there will be traffic, so plan accordingly. Prepaid parking is not available. No pictures to burn here, take a picture of your spot so you can find your car after the show.

Drinking Beer Out of Plastic Cups? Yes, You Can Tailgate (or Taylor-gate)

That will come as a relief to many. However, MetLife Stadium says no additional parking spots may be used.

Taylor Will Never Go Out of "Style," But What Bags Are Allowed at the Shows?

MetLife Stadium's policy states that bags must be clear (a.k.a. see-through): 12” x 6” x 12” or less in size, and 1 bag per person. Small purses (clutch-type bags about the size of your hand) 4.5” x 6.5” or less in size (1 per person) are also allowed, and do not need to be clear.

No camera or binocular cases, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags, and briefcases/computer bags are allowed either.

For more information on what bags are allowed, click here .

Additionally, food or snacks in a clear plastic bag, factory-sealed, plastic bottles of water or soft drinks 20 oz. or less, empty reusable water bottles (plastic and aluminum) and small handheld portable phone chargers are allowed.

Put simply, if you're bringing a drink inside, it must still be factory-sealed. Otherwise, a reusable water bottle can be brought in, but it must be empty upon entry. There are water fountains located inside the stadium where the bottles can be filled.

As far as other common items not allowed, be glad the weather looks good for the weekend, because umbrellas are not allowed. Also, the MetLife Stadium site lists banners or signs as forbidden as well.

You May Be Spinning Like a Girl in a Brand New Dress, But What About Merch Stands and Trailers?

Taylor Nation, Taylor Swift's official fan group, says ticketed fans can shop merch and the newly announced special edition CDs (more on that in a second) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 12:30 p.m. The merch truck is located in Lot E. Merch is also available starting at 4:30 p.m. at MetLife gates and the Team Store.

Again, as we've seen from TikTok, be prepared for long lines, however, it's a great chance to make friendship bracelets.

As for that new CD, Swift said in a tweet Wednesday there will be a new special edition CD will only be available on-site in East Rutherford. The CD sold at MetLife will have a "never before heard Midnights vault track called 'You’re Losing Me.'"

The new Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) deluxe album will feature Ice Spice o the song "Karma" as well as newly recorded vocals from Lana Del Rey on "Snow on the Beach."

Um. SO much to tell you. I’m a massive fan of this brilliant artist and after getting to know her I can confirm: she is THE ONE to watch. So delighted to say that Karma Featuring the incredible @icespicee_ will be out TOMORROW night at MIDNIGHT ET as a part of the new Midnights… pic.twitter.com/OaRrHBWTUw — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) May 24, 2023

Speaking of...Make the Friendship Bracelets, Take the Moment and Taste it:

Swifties from Glendale to Boston have been making friendship bracelets to trade at the shows. Think favorite song lyrics, Taylor Swift quotes, special dates...get creative.

If You're Hoping to Keep Your Hearing Stay "Safe & Sound":

Swift fans who have attended previous shows have recommended concert-friendly earplugs. There are several options available online for under $20. The earplugs promise not to block all the noise or music, but to make the volume safer.

Standing in a Nice Dress, Staring at the Sunset — How's the Weather Looking?

Our resident Swifties from Storm Team 4 say the chance for "Midnight Rain" will stay south of the tri-state. But hey, maybe an old "Cardigan" couldn't hurt for after the sun goes down.

If You're Thinking About a Dive Bar on the East Side...

Some of Taylor's favorite spots in the city and businesses around MetLife Stadium say they're ready for Swifties. In fact, many are all too happy to get a potential boon for business during what typically is a down holiday weekend. Some restaurants are even offering shuttles to the stadium , which would save you money on parking.

She Wears Short Skirts, I Wear T-Shirts — But What Outfits Are Swifties Looking to Wear to the Show?

The outfit is a key element of the Taylor Swift concert experience (after all, she's going to have more than a dozen outfit changes herself throughout each show), so it's important to do your research into what everyone is thinking of wearing.

According to Pinterest data, "Speak Now" is the most popular era for outfit inspiration searches, followed by "Lover" and "Folklore." So use that to help you form your ideas.

All I Do Is Try, Try, Try...for Tickets:

The Eras tour is one of the largest and most sought-after concert tours in history — ticket sales in the first place caused a minor meltdown at Ticketmaster.

If you can feel your heartbeat on the High Line and are still trying to get tickets, be prepared to pay up. StubHub, Vivid Seats, TickPick and GameTime are just some of the secondary market sites that are offering seats, but they'll cost a pretty penny.

As of Wednesday morning, the cheapest ticket listed on StubHub for any of the Friday, Saturday or Sunday shows was for more than $1,400. The most expensive tickets were listed for more than $21,000.

If you've been scouring TikTok looking for tips and tricks, there are some people who have had luck with Ticketmaster the day of the show, even right after the shows have started. If you wake in the night, pacing like a ghost because of ticket troubles, be careful where you buy . Scammers are using different ways to dupe Swifties into sending money online for a ticket that doesn’t exist.

For more on scams,  click here .

This May Be "The Last Time" You Get a Chance for Tickets...

The American Dream Mall, located right next to MetLife Stadium, will be hosting events each day before the concerts from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m., and that includes a shot at a pair of tickets to the show that night.

In addition to a live DJ playing all of Taylor's hits, Swifties will get a chance to sing karaoke, shop, grab a bite or a drink, and enjoy photo ops at the Tour Next Door event.

Those looking for a ticket can enter for a chance to win every day beginning Friday and ending Sunday, with the sweepstakes opening from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. Winners will be announced live onsite at 5 p.m. — but an important note: Winners will need to be onsite as well to collect tickets.

Those hoping to snag the free tickets can enter at AmericanDream.com .

‘This Is Extraordinary’: Why the Eras Tour Is Taylor Swift’s Greatest Live Triumph Yet

By Rob Sheffield

Rob Sheffield

“Jersey, welcome to the Eras Tour!” Taylor Swift yelled on Friday night. “There is one thing that I daydream about with the childlike enthusiasm of a hundred birthday parties, and that is MetLife Stadium Night 1.” That gets the mood about right. She spent this weekend at her long-awaited MetLife Stadium shows in New Jersey destroying the hearts and lungs of 83,000 of the planet’s most godforsaken messes. All three shows were chaotic jubilation, full of songs we’ve waited years to sing. And Taylor missed this more than any of us.

This weekend I spent three consecutive nights at these shows, singing and weeping and suffering and agonizing through an emotional epic Tay-pocalypse every night. But it feels brutal that it’s over so soon. Nobody wanted it to stop. Not even Taylor, who paused on Sunday night at her piano during “Champagne Problems” to rave, “If you think I’m just coasting along thinking this is normal, I can assure you this is not the case. This is extraordinary.”

Editor’s picks

Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history.

The communal vibe is always intense at a Swift show, but never more than at this one. I was in the Night 1 parking lot about 10 minutes before someone I’d never met gave me a BETTY’S CARDIGAN friendship bracelet that I’m still wearing right now. I brought extra packs of pocket tissues, which came in handy when the Fearless interlude inspired a few meltdowns in my row Sunday night. When Taylor began the Evermore section into “Tis the Damn Season,” the security guy came over and said, “You the guy with the tissues?” Another couple of fans were having tear-duct emergencies, sobbing to me, “I really love this album!” ONLY at a Taylor show.

Over the show, she celebrates every part of her career, except her 2006 country debut, which surprisingly doesn’t even make a token appearance, though she’s done some of the songs as acoustic one-offs. (There’s no other career where such a great debut could turn out to be Not Era Enough.) Some of the eras turned into full-blown dance parties, like 1989 , Reputation , and Midnights . Fearless was the one era where she flashed her early twangy side — she made such a statement by stepping out on the catwalk after the first verse for a triumphant power twirl. It was pandemonium when she introduced “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story” by asking, “Jersey, are you ready to go back to high school with me?”

By the time she got to the Folklore era, it was already a few hours into the show, but her emotional brutality never let up — honestly, the worst thing that she ever did was what she did to us. She sang “The One” on the roof of a mossy cottage — the line that blows up into a real audience screamer is “You meet some woman on the internet and taaaaake her hooome .” She did just the peak of “Illicit Affairs,” the “don’t call me kid” chant — a song about sordid meetings in parking lots hit hard coming an hour after “Fearless,” a very different song about a couple in a parking lot, but maybe the same girl a few years down the line. So many of the songs felt extra cathartic live, since virtually all of us in the crowd learned to sing these songs in a moment of extreme solitude and isolation. She did “Betty,” “Cardigan,” “My Tears Ricochet,” and the unstoppable “August,” pouncing on that final “get in the car!” Also, it wouldn’t be Tay’s style to forget that MetLife Stadium is literally behind a mall .

She slips acoustic surprise songs into the set list every night, one on guitar and one alone with her piano. On Friday night, she did “Getaway Car” (with Jersey boy Jack Antonoff) and “Maroon.” On Saturday, it was a pair of New York love songs, “Holy Ground” and “False God.” But the peaks were Sunday night, when she did a stripped-down “Welcome to New York,” leaning hard on the line that people chose to overlook in 2014 — “You can want who you want/Boys and boys and girls and girls.” Then she did a devastating “Clean” on piano. Her enthusiasm spilled over with quips like “You guys always give 113 per cent” or “You will get a treat for that!” Early on Friday night, she declared, “You guys are historically a great crowd. Do you think that you want to continue that tradition?” When the fans roared, she replied, “I was hoping you would say that. In case you said no, I was going to just ditch this plan completely.”

“All Too Well (Ten Minute Version)” was the coup de grace, filling up the enormous space with the sound of just Taylor and her thousands of confidantes. It couldn’t help but evoke the moment when she sang it the first time she played MetLife Stadium — 10 summers ago, in July 2013. That night, it already seemed incredibly to think of how far she’d come so fast. But 10 ears later, hearing “All Too Well” in that same venue, it seemed to sum up everywhere she’s traveled in those past 10 years. Like the rest of the Eras Tour, it was a celebration of all the holy ground she and her audience has covered.

At one point on Sunday night, during the Midnights finale, I heard voices and thought the security guard near me was arguing with a fan. It turned out they were just trading friendship bracelets. It’s THAT kind of show. That’s the world this woman and only this woman creates, on an epic scale, night after night. There’s no experience in music like being part of that world Taylor Swift creates for a few hours. And there’s no way not to feel joyful about taking it all with you when you leave.

Taylor Swift gives fans ‘The Best Day’ with marathon-length MetLife Stadium concert

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Welcome to New Jersey, we’ve been waiting for you!

Taylor Swift brought her catalog-spanning, marathon-length concert to MetLife Stadium on Friday to kick off the three-night Garden State leg of her Eras Tour .

The highly anticipated East Rutherford dates marked the midpoint of the trek, which features a whopping 52 dates and stretches on through the summer.

Swifties lucky enough to have tickets to the sold-out show descended upon the stadium — which usually houses both the New York Jets and the New York Giants — early in the afternoon. The parking lot was full of Tayl-gaters wearing themed outfits ranging from prom gowns to pink fringed cowboy hats and boots to leather catsuits and snakeskin shirts and everything in between.

Celebrities have also been turning up in record numbers , as Swift is known for her tight-knit girl squad .

As the stadium opened up to fans eager to see the headlining superstar, the opening acts took the stage.

First up was Gayle, who made a name for herself with the viral TikTok song “ABCDEFU.” What her set lacked in time, it made up for in noise and energy. The 18-year-old’s excitement was infectious as she danced around the stage with her guitar in shades of leather and orange.

Phoebe Bridgers was next to take the stage and did so in her signature blinged-out skeleton dress to the unmistakable opening riff of Disturbed’s “Down With the Sickness.”

The indie-rock songstress — who later joined Swift onstage to perform their duet, “Nothing New (From the Vault)” — used her set to bring the crowd on a roller-coaster of emotion.

Bridgers, 28, brought her signature melodic melancholia to the massive audience until she hit her peak with a crescendoing shriek to close out her last track, “I Know the End.” Fans in the know joined in on her trademark exorcism-adjacent closing scream, bringing the volume to deafening heights.

The energy of the stadium in the lead-up to Swift’s set could only be described as electric. When “Applause” by Lady Gaga started, signifying the woman of the hour would be taking the stage shortly, fans in every section grew restless and excited. Concertgoers of all ages (and eras) traded Swift-themed friendship bracelets , a newfound fan project-turned-tradition inspired by a line in one of Swift’s newer songs, “You’re on Your Own, Kid.”

A giant clock then appeared on the stage’s massive screen as Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me” filled the air, earning thunderous cheers from the crowd.

As the countdown hit zero, Swift’s backup dancers appeared carrying massive, flowing fabric fans in dreamy watercolor tones and made their way down the catwalk, eventually bending over a hidden door that would reveal Swift, 33, for the opening mashup of “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince” and “Cruel Summer” from her 2019 album, “Lover.”

Fans were delighted to see Swift, who has made headlines for her many Eras Tour outfit variations , strutting around the stage in a brand new bodysuit for the “Lover” era. The never-before-seen look featured navy blue tassels that dangled around her thighs, paired with her signature thigh-high boots.

This wasn’t the only new look debuted onstage in East Rutherford; the performer also introduced a new ballgown for the “Speak Now” era as well as a glittering, deep rust-colored gown for her “Evermore” performance.

The pop princess is no stranger to the stage, and it shows in every moment of her performance. Every note is perfect, every move exactly on the mark, every section of the stadium given attention. Even the speeches Swift gives in between songs are rehearsed and retained from night to night.

In a touching moment during “Marjorie,” Swifties all over the country have been holding up their cellphone flashlights in tribute to Swift’s late grandmother. Swift takes a moment each night to comment on the “magic telepathic connection” among the crowd — when in reality it’s simply a “fan project” that’s caught on and stuck.

Still, Swift’s connection to her fans and their loyalty cannot be denied.

After a particularly long-standing ovation from the crowd during the “Evermore” section of the show, the performer hinted at a surprise, saying, “You’ll get a treat later for that!”

Swifties are no strangers to surprises, of course. In fact, the Eras Tour has a whole section dedicated to just that: surprise songs . Just before Swift delves into the “Midnights” era of her show, she treats fans to an ever-changing two-song acoustic set.

On this particular night, she strutted down the runway with all her backup dancers in tow and announced she had a very special surprise indeed: the premiere of her Ice Spice-featured music video for “Karma” ahead of its worldwide release at midnight. The entire stadium fell quiet as the video played, bringing a touch of intimacy to one of the biggest crowds MetLife Stadium has ever seen at 72,000-plus people.

In that moment, Swift did something everyone else in the stadium had surely done countless times before — sit on the floor with friends watching a Taylor Swift music video.

After the premiere, Swift treated fans to one of the most iconic surprise song combinations the tour has seen thus far.

She was joined onstage by longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff to perform “Getaway Car” off 2017’s “Reputation.”

Afterward, she sat down at her doodle-covered piano and launched into “Maroon,” one of her most fan-requested songs from her most recent release.

But the surprises didn’t stop there. Halfway through the concert’s final song, “Karma,” Swift revealed she had one last trick up her sleeve. She stopped just after the first verse to address the audience, asking whether they were “ready to make the most amount of noise” they had made all night.

She then revealed that she had yet another visitor: “We’re going to treat this like this is her hometown show. Are you ready, Jersey? Ice Spice is here!”

The rapper, 23, rose from the center of the catwalk, singing her new verse on the hit song as she strutted downstage toward Swift. The pair held hands as fireworks went off around the stadium and cannons fired confetti in 10 different colors — for her ten albums — through the air.

During the nearly four-hour set, Swift took a stroll through her musical history, pausing to take deeper dives into some eras over others.

She spent the most amount of time ruminating on 2020’s “Folklore,” which was treated to seven songs and a spoken-word poetry version of “Seven”, and 2023’s “Midnights.”

Her earlier albums, however, weren’t so lucky; her debut album, 2006’s “Taylor Swift,” doesn’t feature permanently anywhere on the extensive 45-song setlist.

Fans have theorized this notable lack could be attributed to Swift’s current copyright issues surrounding the unauthorized sale of her masters.

That would also explain why fan favorite “Speak Now” only gets one song on the setlist: “Enchanted,” which Swift performs walking down the catwalk in a selection of bridal-esque ballgowns.

The re-recording of Swift’s 2010 album was only recently announced during the tour’s stopover in Nashville.

And yet, the Eras Tour experience is still a fairy tale of any fan’s wildest dreams.

Swift has seemingly figured out how to keep decades-old albums feeling fresh while also managing to ensure that both longtime fans and newcomers have something to connect with during her set.

Anyone lucky enough to attend a show is sure to leave feeling like they had “The Best Day” with Taylor Swift.

Celebrities step out for Taylor Swift's New Jersey stop on the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift's stop in East Rutherford, New Jersey, brought plenty of fans from neighboring New York City, including some of her celebrity friends.

At MetLife Stadium, located just 12 miles from Manhattan, Swift kicked off a three-night run of shows May 26. On the first two nights in New Jersey, rapper Ice Spice has joined Swift on stage for a finale performance of “Karma.” Her last show at this venue before heading to Chicago starts at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28.

Night Two Of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - East Rutherford, NJ

On Friday, Swift released a special edition of her 10th studio album , “Midnights,” featuring Ice Spice , more vocals from Lana Del Rey and new break-up track “You’re Losing Me. "

But plenty of other celebrities could be found in the crowd and shared sweet footage from the event on social media.

Here's who we know attended Swift's New Jersey shows (so far).

Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers visited MetLife Stadium May 27, not for a game or practice with the New York Jets , but for Swift's concert.

“Taylor time,” he captioned a video on his Instagram story, showing the final countdown of a clock that runs down before the concert begins.

Aaron Rodgers posts from the Eras Tour May 27.

In a video from the concert , Rodgers is seen dancing along to her 2014 hit, “Style,” holding his hands up in the air and swaying to the beat as Swift belts the lyrics, “Just take me home.”

Rodgers also tagged Keleigh Teller, Miles Teller's wife, in his post. The Tellers, who notably starred together in Swift's 2021 music video “I Bet You Think About Me,” were spotted in the audience by fans.

Jenny Han and Lola Tung

Author Jenny Han attended the May 27 show with Lola Tung, star of the TV series adapted from her book, “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”

“Guess where we’re headed,” Han captioned a photo of the duo on her Instagram, each decked out in sparkles. Tung wore a white lace halter top with sparkles around her eyes, while Han wore pastel beaded, heart-shaped sunglasses paired with bright red lipstick, seeming to channel the “Lover” era tied to her 2019 album.

At the Saturday show, Swift played “False God” from “Lover” as one of her surprise songs, meaning it is not part of her setlist . “False God” was also featured in Season One of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”

Season Two of the hit Prime Video show premieres July 14 — just one week after Swift releases “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).”

Mariska Hargitay

Mariska Hargitay attended another concert of Swift's Eras Tour, after stopping by in Nashville , Tennessee.

The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star's character also provided the inspiration for one of the Swift's cat's names — Olivia Benson.

Her first appearance on the Eras Tour initially confused fans, with several fans asking, “Who’s Olivia Benson?”

Another chimed in, “I thought Olivia Benson was the cat.”

Hargitay also notably appeared in Swift's 2015 music video “Bad Blood,” which also starred Selena Gomez, Jessica Alba, Ellen Pompeo (Swift has another cat named Meredith Grey) and Cara Delevigne.

Hargitay and Delevingne posed for a sweet selfie together at the Friday Jersey show for a “lil Bad Blood reunion.”

Lin Manuel Miranda

Near-EGOT winner Lin-Manuel Miranda attended the May 26 concert in New Jersey with his wife, Vanessa, and sat with actor Molly Ringwald and Hargitay.

“…what if I told you I’m a mastermind ( @taylorswift  ftw, what an incredible show),” he captioned a photo and video roundup, referencing one of the songs from “Midnights.”

Molly Ringwald

In addition to posing with Miranda, Ringwald also shared sweet videos from the concert of her daughter, Adele, watching Swift's performance.

Molly Ringwald and her daughter attend the Eras Tour.

“There are certain moments in a girl’s life that are unforgettable ...,” Ringwald captioned a photo of Adele on her Instagram story. “Thank you Taylor Swift.”

She also shared a video of her and Miranda jamming out to “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” decked out in an Eras Tour hoodie.

Gal Gadot attended the May 27 show with her children.

“Even with one happy and sleepy child, I had the best time. @taylorswift you’re an inspiration,” the “Wonder Woman” star captioned a video shared to her Instagram story.

Gadot has three daughters, Alma, Maya and Daniella . In the video, one of her daughters clings to her mom as Gadot dances along to “Shake It Off.”

“Simply an amazing performer and fantastic role model,” she captioned another pic of Swift on stage.

Taylor Swift stands onstage in front of a crowd.

Taylor Swift announced her highly-anticipated ‘Eras Tour’ way back in November 2022.

Now, six long months later, she’s finally bringing her iconic career-spanning set to East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium on Memorial Day Weekend.

On Friday, May 26 , Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 , Swift will perform at the Giants and Jets home stadium.

And while we’re excited, there’s only one downside.

Tickets are expensive. Very expensive.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for Swift’s three-night Garden State soiree was $1563 before fees on Vivid Seats.

If that price seems cray cray, we have found that patience may be a virtue when it comes to Tay Tay.

While reporting on the ‘Eras Tour,’ our team has discovered that prices for Swift concerts  typically drop dramatically  on the day before and of the concert.

So, if you’re planning on snagging last-minute Memorial Day Weekend tickets to see Swift (along with special guests Phoebe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams, Gayle and Owenn) at MetLife, it might be wise to  bookmark this page  and refresh all week.

You just may find a steal of a deal.

Until then, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming ‘Eras Tour’ Jersey weekend.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Taylor Swift MetLife Stadium schedule

A complete breakdown of all the best prices on upper-deck, lower-level and floor seats for each of Taylor’s trifecta of East Rutherford gigs can be found below.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Taylor Swift 2023 ‘Eras Tour’ schedule

If ticket prices to see Taylor in East Rutherford don’t make sense for your budget, it might be in your best interest to see the ‘Eras Tour’ at a later date.

After this three-show weekend, Swift has 24 North American concerts remaining on her schedule after this weekend.

You can find a complete calendar of all remaining ‘Eras Tour’ dates here .

Plus, as an added bonus, we a)  broke down all the best prices  for each upcoming show and b)  shared some helpful tips from a Swiftie  who made it out to to see Taylor on the first weekend of the tour.

Taylor Swift opening acts

This weekend, Taylor is bringing Phoebe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams Gayle and Owenn with her on select dates of the three-night residency.

Here’s what you need to know about the established openers.

Phoebe Bridgers , 28, is a headliner in her own right. In 2021-22, the four-time Grammy nominee took her “Reunion Tour” to venues all over the country and lent her talent to numerous music festivals. You may also know her from her side projects:  Boygenius  with pals Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker or Better Oblivion Community Center alongside Conor Oberst.

Gracie Abrams , the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, is a star in her own right. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” has upwards of 100 million streams on Spotify, she opened for Olivia Rodrigo on the 2022 “Sour Tour” and headlined her own tour this spring as well.

Gayle  sings that song you hear everywhere. Yes, Gayle is known for her smash single “ABCDEFU,” which she wrote in response to a comment on TikTok. Following the song’s success, Gayle mounted her tour, dubbed “Feeling It Together,” and hit venues all over the U.S. in 2022.

OWENN , a powerful R&B singer, is the only male opening act on the “Eras Tour.” It’s possible that you may recognize him from Swift’s music video “Lover” where he played the romantic lead opposite Taylor. Haven’t heard his stuff? You’ll want to check out the catchy single “Baby Girl,” which will get you moving and grooving in no time.

Huge stars on tour in 2023

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (maybe more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

•  Adele

•  Madonna

•  SZA

•  Pink

•  Janet Jackson

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Verified Fan Onsale is using registration to ensure more tickets get into the hands of fans who want to go to the shows, not buyers looking to resell them.

Only fans that receive an email confirming their access will be able to join the queue for this Verified Fan Onsale. Fans who are selected will receive additional instructions on Wednesday, November 8. All others will be put on a waitlist.

Tickets for these shows will be in high demand, therefore, a limited number of fans will get access to the Verified Fan Onsale while others will be placed on the waitlist as described below. Access to the Verified Fan Onsale does not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while currently-available inventory lasts.

Registration is open from Thursday, November 2 at 8:00 a.m. PT through Saturday, November 4 at 5:00 p.m. PT .

Key Dates to Know

Thursday, November 2 – Registration opens Saturday, November 4 @ 5:00 p.m. PT – Registration closes Wednesday, November 8 – Fans will receive confirmation if they will have access to the Verified Fan Onsale or if they have been placed on the waitlist.

Thursday, November 9 – Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Verified Fan Onsale (only fans that received an email confirming their access will be able to join the queue for this sale). All shows will be assigned specific on-sale windows, which will be communicated prior to the start of the sale.

How Will This Sale Work?

Ticketmaster is helping artists give their fans a better opportunity to purchase tickets by creating an extra line of defense against bots and professional resellers who are looking to sell tickets for profit. The process includes three steps:

Step 1: Registration

By registering for the Verified Fan Onsale, you are letting us know that you’re interested in purchasing tickets. From the registration page, you sign into or create your account, select your preferred show(s) and register your email and phone number. Once completed, you’ll automatically receive a confirmation email letting you know that we got your request. It’s quick, easy and free to sign up.

Step 2: Verification

Next, Ticketmaster vets each request by confirming it belongs to an individual — not a bot — and that it hasn’t been tied to irregular behaviors that could be a sign of a professional seller attempting to access the sale.

Step 3: Access Code or Waitlist

When demand exceeds availability, a limited number of registered Verified Fans will get access to the sale and others will be placed on a waitlist. You’ll receive an email on Wednesday, November 8 letting you know which group you’re in. If selected to get access to the sale, you’ll receive a unique access code and purchase link via text message the day prior to your Verified Fan Onsale.

While no system can guarantee that all fans will get tickets to the show(s) they’re interested in, the Verified Fan program works to significantly block bots and professional resellers from competing against fans for tickets during the sale.

Common Questions

How do i register.

  • To register, please visit: HERE
  • Sign in using your My Account or create an account if you don’t have one.
  • Tell us what show you’re interested in and submit your registration; we’ll keep you up to date with all the latest information.

We’ll send you a confirmation email to let you know your registration was successful and what you can expect next.

If I receive access to the Verified Fan sale, am I guaranteed tickets?

No. Access means you have an opportunity to join the Verified Fan sale but it is not a guarantee you’ll be able to purchase tickets. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis while currently-available inventory lasts.

If I received access to the Verified Fan sale, how do I purchase tickets?

  • At the specified time, click the link you were sent.
  • You’ll enter the Smart Queue. To keep your place in line, stay on the page and don’t refresh. Do not open more than one browser window.
  • Once it’s your turn, shop for tickets by using your unique access code. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis while currently-available inventory lasts and aren’t guaranteed. Each event has a strict four (4) ticket limit per customer.
  • Then checkout!

How many tickets can I buy with my code?

You can purchase up to 4 tickets for the one show indicated in the text you received.

When will the Waiting Room open?

The Waiting Room will open 30 minutes before the designated Verified Fan sale window begins. When the Verified Fan sale begins, fans in the Waiting Room are assigned a spot in line. Once you reach the end of the queue, you’ll have an opportunity to shop for tickets. Stay on the page and don’t refresh or you may lose your spot in line.

You must use the same Ticketmaster account that you registered with to join the Waiting Room.

How do I join the queue?

Sign in through the link that we texted to the phone number you provided during registration to access the queue.

What can I do to prepare?

If you’ve been selected to participate in the Verified Fan sale, we recommend that you prepare by signing into your Ticketmaster account before the Verified Fan sale to make sure your billing information is up to date. This will help speed up the checkout process after you’ve selected the tickets you want to buy.

My link isn’t working. What should I do?

If you registered and received access to shop for tickets through text or email from Ticketmaster, but the link’s not working, try checking these things first:

  • Make sure the event is on sale. Links are sent out before the event goes on sale but won’t work until the event is actually on sale.
  • You must be signed in with the same email address you used to register for the Verified Fan sale.

Will there be other ways to buy Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets?

The only official way to get Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets is through the Ticketmaster Verified Fan Onsale or through certain other limited tour-sponsored onsale opportunities for specific shows. Be on the lookout for information on these other opportunities where available.

I got an email saying I’m on the waitlist. What does that mean?

If you’re currently on the waitlist, stay tuned — you may still have an opportunity to shop for tickets.

When there are more fans than there are tickets, a limited number of fans will get access to join at the start of the Verified Fan sale and others will be placed on the waitlist.

More fans may get access to join the Verified Fan sale based on ticket availability. If you’re selected, you will receive a text with a link to join the Verified Fan sale. Please note, moving off the waitlist does not guarantee access to tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently-available inventory lasts.

Can I register more than once to increase the likelihood that I am able to purchase tickets ?

Registering more than once for a specific event does not increase the likelihood that you are able to purchase tickets . If you want to change the event date you selected after you’ve registered, you can make those edits while the registration window is still open. We only keep the last registration you submitted.

I received a confirmation email after I registered, what does that mean?

The email is simply to inform you that we have received your registration and will be working to verify your account. It doesn’t guarantee that you will be selected for the Verified Fan sale access. A second email will be sent on Wednesday, November 8 letting you know if you will get access to the sale or if you’ve been placed on the waitlist. If selected, the day prior to your Verified Fan sale you’ll receive a text message with a unique access code and link to use.

I’m a real fan of this artist, and not a bot or reseller. Why didn’t I get access?

Selection is not a measure of how big a fan anybody is. Sometimes there simply aren’t enough tickets for everyone. When demand exceeds availability, a limited number of fans get access to the Verified Fan sale, and others must be placed on the waitlist. The number of fans who receive access depends on the number of tickets currently available — this is done to help create a less crowded ticket shopping experience for fans.

How will I know if I’ve been granted access to the Verified Fan sale after I’ve been placed on the waitlist?

If selected, you will receive a text with a unique access code and link to the ticket sale. In the event of any SMS/texting delivery issues, we’ll email your unique access code and link to the email address associated with your Ticketmaster account that you used to register. Access to the Verified Fan Onsale does not guarantee tickets. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis while currently-available inventory lasts. If you’re sent a unique access code and link you should join the Verified Fan sale as soon as possible for your opportunity to purchase tickets.

eras tour dates new jersey

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour was one of the biggest events and hottest tickets of the year. If you missed out on seeing it live, you'll have another chance to experience it.

The Eras Tour will come to AMC movie theaters as a concert film in North America in October.

"The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon," Swift posted on social media Thursday morning.

The tour came to New Jersey and MetLife Stadium back in May with sellout crowds and Swifties "Taylorgating" in the parking lot before the show.

The movie showings start Oct. 13 and tickets are on sale now at amctheatres.com. Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing are encouraged, Swift posted.

The AMC website showed a wait time of several minutes Thursday morning due to "high traffic volume."

Aaron Dessner

Aaron Dessner, who helped produce both folklore and evermore , took the stage in Tampa alongside the "Red" singer not once but twice. Before joining her on stage for nights two and three, as Rolling Stone noted, he was spotted in the crowd on the first night of her stop at the Raymond James Stadium.

"Still buzzing from those 3 shows in Tampa!!!," Swift wrote on Instagram after the three-night tenure in Florida. "The #tstheerastour is the greatest show I've ever seen!!!!!"

He joined Swift on stage for a second time the following night to perform "Mad Woman" from behind the piano .

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez attended the Eras Tour stop in Arlington, Texas, dressed in a cardigan from the "Lavender Haze" singer's merch and sporting a hairstyle reminiscent of the one Swift sported during her Folklore era.

Swift's longtime bestie was also joined by a very special guest, her little sister Gracie Elliott Teefey , who wore a purple dress very similar to the one Swift wore in another era of her career — Speak Now .

Following the show, Gomez shared a tribute to the night on Instagram that included a short video of the sisters moving along to Swift performing her song "Delicate."

"Thank you bestie for having me and my sissy transport into your mystical, euphoric and special world," Gomez wrote. "Proud to know you! love you forever and always."

Ethan Hawke

Ethan Hawke was also spotted in the crowd by fans at Swift's show in Arlington chatting with Gomez, whom he worked with in the 2013 film Getaway .

Jack Antonoff & Margaret Qualley

On April 1, Swift welcomed another special guest to Texas — her friend and collaborator, Jack Antonoff , who was joined by his fiancée Margaret Qualley , per photos and videos shared to social media.

When introducing her "surprise song" of the night , "Death by a Thousand Cuts," Swift called Antonoff her "collaborator of dreams" and shared with the audience that he was in the crowd that night.

Before revealing the name of the song, Swift recalled another occasion she had played the tune, and how she'd wished Antonoff had been there to hear how loudly the crowd sang along to the bridge.

"We wrote this song together," she said. "And I really want him to hear you do it so I am really hoping that you know the words to this song — I'm going to take my chances"

Antonoff also shared a few glimpses of his experience at the show through his Instagram Story which included short clips of different songs from the night.

Antonoff was also in attendance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and joined Swift onstage to perform one of her surprise songs of the night, "Getaway Car" on May 26.

Ellen Pompeo

Ellen Pompeo shared a glimpse into her experience at the Eras Tour in Las Vegas to her Instagram Story. In the video, her daughter Sienna May lip-synced to "Blank Space" dressed in a sparkly dress.

The concert was a full-circle moment for both parties as Swift famously named one of her cats Meredith Grey, after Pompeo's character on Grey's Anatomy , and Pompeo appeared in the starry video for Swift's single, "Bad Blood."

Shania Twain

It seems "Blank Space" is quite popular among the stars as Shania Twain also showed her love for the pop hit on her Instagram Stories.

The country legend was filmed dancing to the 2014 hit and summed up the video with "What a show!" after attending the concert in Vegas.

Emma Roberts

One fan was able to catch Emma Roberts appearing to have the time of her life in Vegas, dancing and singing to "Style" in a video shared to TikTok.

Chloë Grace Moretz

Chloë Grace Moretz was seen in a video, re-shared to Twitter by a Swift fan account, jumping up and down and singing along to "Love Story." The actress herself later posted photos from her epic Vegas weekend.

Emma Watson

Numerous fans spotted the Emma Watson in the VIP section during Swift's stop in Las Vegas and in this video , she was seen enjoying the show next to Este Haim.

Marcus Mumford

Marcus Mumford , who is a longtime collaborator and friend of Swift's, joined her on stage in Las Vegas and performed "Cowboy Like Me" from her album Evermore . Though he has previously included the song in his own set lists, this was the first time Swift had performed the song live, Rolling Stone noted .

Jade Jolie — who was featured in the music video for Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" — went all out with a themed outfit which she posted to her Instagram .

The RuPaul's Drag Race alum is known to bear a strong resemblance to Swift — she's even tapped herself a "TSwift Illusionist" in her Instagram bio.

Khalen Saunders

For Khalen Saunders , the Eras Tour was a family affair. Not only was Saunders joined by his daughter and wife to experience Swift's show, his older brother, Kameron , is one of the tour's dancers!

"Just to think, my babies have seen their dad AND their Tete Goofy perform on a world stage! Excellent show last night @taylorswift you might really be the 🐐," he wrote on Instagram . "And to my big brother, continue to inspire. Myself, all those hopeful dancers, and the rest of the world needs people like you to look to when you need hope. Love you ❤️🤞🏾"

The international DJ also showed up for Swift's Saturday night show in Las Vegas, sharing a few glimpses of his experience to his Instagram Story. In one slide, he captioned the video, "I kinda know the lyrics," while moving along to "Anti-Hero."

Diplo and Swift have a history , as he came under fire years ago after sharing a body-shaming tweet about the "Bad Blood" songstress.

Nathan Chen

The Gold-medalist figure skater stopped by Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to catch one of Swift's two shows in Sin City. Nathan Chen shared a carousel of videos to Instagram along with the cheeky caption: "Not not a Swiftie 🫡."

Laura Dern made sure to get in on the fun for the Eras Tour kickoff in Glendale, Arizona, with her family.

Dern, who starred as the evil stepmother in Swift's music video for "Bejeweled," shared on Instagram that she was en route to the show with her two kids, Ellery and Jaya .

"First time in five years. Taylor here we come," she captioned the fun photo, which showed the trio sporting cowboy hats.

Later, the Big Little Lies actress posted a few snaps of Swift's show from the crowd and even managed to snag a pic with the queen herself (above).

"Celebrating our amazing buddy's first show of tour," Dern wrote. "Extraordinary. Found family. #ErasTour "

Fan videos taken from inside the stadium revealed that Laura Dern and her kids were not the only special guests that Friday night.

The actress danced the night away with two of the Haim sisters — who also starred in the "Bejeweled" music video — and Emma Stone .

HAIM will serve as an opening act for Swift later in the tour.

In another video shared by a fan , Emma Stone took us back to that scene from Easy A as she was seen singing and dancing her heart out. The actress responded to "You Belong With Me" with as much excitement as you'd expect from any fan lucky enough to attend the Eras Tour — famous or not!

Former NFL player, JJ Watt , had nothing but "respect" for Swift after snagging a seat to the first night.

On March 19, Watt shared a video to Twitter about his experience, explaining that he attended the show with his wife Kealia and her friends.

"First off, unbelievable," he said. "The production, the set design, the video boards, the sound quality, the speakers — just you can tell when somebody does something at the top of their game and is trying to do the right way for their fans, and this is done the right way for people paying money to come and see her."

He later applauded the length of the set, touting that the performance went on for "3 hours and 15 minutes" and that the singer performed "44 songs" with "no intermission."

"When your fans pay for a ticket, they are getting their money's worth and some," he wrote alongside the video.

Danica Patrick

Danica Patrick caught the Eras Tour during Swift's first stop in Arizona and shared a glimpse on her experience to Instagram through photos and videos and called out the singer's impressive 44 song setlist.

"We were all so in the moment that we didn't take many pictures together and I didn't even take that many videos," Patrick wrote in part. " @taylorswift sang 44 songs and it was the most amazing concert I have ever seen. Swiftie for life. ❤️"

Samara Weaving

Samara Weaving also appeared to snag a seat to one of Swift's first tour dates in Glendale, Arizona, as she shared a glimpse into her night on her Instagram Stories — which were posted by a fan on Twitter.

In one clip shared to TikTok, Swift was seen performing her song "Mirrorball," which was the night's surprise song.

No 'Taylor-gating': New Jersey authorities warn Swifties against tailgating at her concert

Never underestimate the determination of a Swiftie .

Devoted fans of Taylor Swift who weren't able to get tickets to her Eras Tour have resorted to tailgating outside the New Jersey stadium where Swift is performing this week.

The MetLife stadium where Swift is playing, along with state authorities, have already gotten involved. On Friday, MetLife released in a statement on social media stating fans will be barred from entering the stadium parking lot if they do not have a ticket to the concert.

New Jersey State Police echoed the sentiment on social media .

"Sorry Swifties – No Ticket, No Taylor-Gating," read their Instagram post. "Only patrons with concert tickets for the day of the event will be granted access to the parking lots. Tickets will not be sold at the stadium."

With ticket prices in the thousands and presales selling out quickly, fans are finding workarounds to see (or hear) Swift anyway.

Many are choosing to park at the nearby American Dream mall or catch a train before walking over to MetLife.

Longtime Swiftie Allison Ekeman and her 10-year-old daughter Kayleigh originally intended to sit in the MetLife stadium’s parking lot, but will now walk over from the mall. They will enjoy the Saturday show outside the stadium walls with a blanket to lay on while singing Swift’s top hits.

“I’m not willing to spend over a $1,000 on tickets, but I can stand outside for free,” Ekeman said.

Ekeman said other fans will likely be doing the same, as she saw on TikTok and other social media platforms including last weekend’s Philadelphia show. Andover Township native Stephanie Poli-Zilinski got the same idea after presales sold out and ticket prices went up in the thousands.

Since listening to Swift’s debut single “Tim McGraw,” Poli-Zilinski has been a devoted Swiftie and eventually brought her daughter Ainsley into the Taylor community as well. They plan to park at American Dream early from the comfort of their minivan.

MetLife experienced a sampling of the Taylor Swift mania to come this weekend with the merchandise store opening on May. 25. Fans started camping in line around 10 p.m. the night before and waited for hours doors to open at 10 a.m.

Hulu's New Docuseries Is Perfect If You're Sick Of Hearing About Taylor Swift's Eras Tour

  • The Bon Jovi documentary on Hulu offers a refreshing break from Taylor Swift's Eras Tour hype.
  • Bon Jovi's journey from the 80s to now is explored in Thank You, Goodnight, a four-episode docuseries.
  • Despite their different stories, both the Eras Tour and Bon Jovi's anniversary concert showcase huge behind-the-scenes work.

For over a year, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has taken over pop culture, and with its release as a movie in October 2023, it is very hard to avoid, but luckily Hulu has released its own concert documentary, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story , which is a perfect replacement for those interested in music but sick of hearing about Swift. Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story is a four-episode docuseries currently streaming on Hulu, which follows iconic rock star Jon Bon Jovi as he reminisces about his band, Bon Jovi, and rehearses for a 40th anniversary concert.

Bon Jovi's band members include lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarist Richie Sambora, and bassist Alec John Such. The band, originating from New Jersey, put themselves on the map in 1984 when they released their first single and album, "Runaway." However, they truly blew up two years later upon the release of their third album, "Slippery When Wet." Since then, Bon Jovi has become a staple of the rock genre, with countless iconic songs including "Livin' on a Prayer," "You Give Love a Bad Name," and "Wanted Dead or Alive."

8 Ways The Eras Tour Movie Is Better Than Taylor Swifts Previous Concert Films

Hulu's new bon jovi documentary shows a very different world compared to taylor swift's eras tour, thank you, goodnight focuses on rock.

What makes Thank You, Goodnight a great watch in relation to The Eras Tour is that it tells a similar story but in a completely different world . The Eras Tour is a retrospective on Swift's previous albums, and Thank You, Goodnight looks back on Bon Jovi's 40 years as a band, but their paths are wildly different. Thank You, Goodnight starts off in the 1980s, exploring Jon Bon Jovi's roots in New Jersey, then delves into the world of 1980s rock .

Where The Eras Tour is cemented in the current, Thank You, Goodnight is very reminiscent of the past.

This difference in time periods really sets Thank You, Goodnight apart from The Eras Tour. Taylor Swift is incredibly popular, and her career is still booming, with Eras being a definite peak. Bon Jovi, on the other hand, has slowed down considerably, but more than that, they have a legacy preceding them. The docuseries has less to do with their current endeavors, and more about their impact on an entire genre from the 1980s and beyond. Furthermore, the ambiance is quite different. Swift's sparkly Eras Tour outfits and scenes are replaced by long rockstar hair and old concert footage.

Jon Bon Jovi is 62 years old.

Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story Complements Taylor Swift's Eras Tour In One Respect

Bon jovi and taylor swift have one thing in common.

Despite their vast differences, The Eras Tour and Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story have one thing in common. Both projects explore what it is like to put up a huge concert in the current day. Though these concerts are coming at different times in each artists' career, the Eras Tour and Bon Jovi's 40th anniversary tour are both massive moments that have incredible work put into them. Both the documentary movie and the docuseries successfully explore the highs and lows of putting on a stadium tour when you're an incredibly beloved musical artist.

Exploring the use of cannabis to treat medical conditions that affect women

Cannabis and Women's Health

"Women's health" covers a myriad of physiological systems and bodily functions unique to their biology. Addressing women’s health means treating medical conditions and challenges unique to this half of the world’s population – like maternal mortality and the menopausal transition. Cannabis is increasingly being considered part of the women’s health and well-being arsenal by the medical community. While a federal ban makes broad scientific and medical research difficult, there is some indication of potential therapeutic benefits for women. Some of the medical conditions for which cannabis may be a beneficial part of treatment are on the list of qualifying conditions for the New Jersey Medicinal Cannabis Program.
