Maroon 5 announce tour dates and festivals for 2023

GRAMMY® Award-winning multi-platinum powerhouse Maroon 5 , have announced their UK/European headline and festival run for 2023. The European stretch, produced by Live Nation, kicks off on Tuesday 13th June at Lisbon’s Passeio Maritimo De Alges, before heading to Spain, Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, and France, before wrapping up at The O2 in London, UK on Monday 3rd July.

The tour announcement also features multiple festival appearances in Europe including Prague Rocks in the Czech Republic, Tinderbox in Denmark, and Main Square Festival in France.

The band won over fans and critics alike with the hybrid rock/R&B sound they introduced on their debut album, Songs About Jane. Tickets go on sale at Friday 18th November at 10am from the official Ticketmaster page , with presales starting Wednesday 16th November.

Maroon 5 announce Asian tour with stops in Singapore, Philippines and Thailand

The Asia tour dates will be the "last" leg of the tour, which began in August 2021

Maroon 5 have announced “one last stop” on their ongoing world tour, adding six new dates in Asia at the end of 2022.

Adam Levine and co. are set to kick off the Asian leg of their tour at the Singapore National Stadium on November 28 before heading to South Korea and Japan. The band will then perform at the Mall Of Asia arena in the Philippines before closing out their world tour in Thailand on December 10, having first begun their journey in August last year.

Ticketing details for the tour will be announced in the coming days.

The band also became the first major US act to perform in Canada since March 18, 2020 after the country opened up its borders following the coronavirus pandemic upon embarking on their tour.

The tour has seen the band playing through their most popular tracks like ‘Moves Like Jagger’, ‘Animals’, ‘What Lovers Do’ and more to warm receptions from audiences enjoying the relaxation of coronavirus safety measures. One such audience member was too warm for comfort, however, leading Levine to release a statement on his reaction to a fan who had grabbed him onstage during a show at Hollywood Bowl.

“I just wanted to address the Hollywood Bowl incident thing, a fan coming up to me onstage,” Levine said in a video addressed to fans. “I have always been someone that loves, respects, worships our fans. Without our fans, we don’t have a job. I say that all the time to our fans. To think that anyone would believe that I thought that our fans were beneath us or less than us makes my stomach turn. It’s just not who I am, it’s not who I’ve ever been.”

Maroon 5’s most recent studio album, ‘Jordi’, was released in June last year and earned a 3/5 star review from NME . Writer El Hunt called the effort one that “tries its hand at nearly every strand of contemporary pop” but “excels at very little”, but praised the moments when the album escapes its bloated guest list with more ambitious, wide-screen arena-pop with messier subject matters.

Maroon 5’s upcoming Asia tour is the latest in a string of major concerts and festivals to be announced for the region this year. Other large-scale concerts scheduled to take place this year include Billie Eilish , Justin Bieber , Avril Lavigne and more.

“I’m really look forward to doing it again and honestly could never have told you that before we started,” lead singer Adam Levine told People, admitting he was initially “skeptical” of the residency. “I had no idea what to expect. Obviously I went into it with an open mind and a good attitude, but I was actually shocked at how much I enjoyed it.”

During the original ‘M5LV The Residency’ in Las Vegas, Levine got “really cozy and comfortable, probably more so than I ever had been,” he said. That original 16-date ‘M5LV The Residency’ from 2023 was – according to promoters Live Nation – “custom-designed for Dolby Live, giving fans an intimate concert experience in the 5,200-seat entertainment venue.”

Levine isn’t resting on his laurels, though. In fact, Maroon 5 is working on new music while they prepare for another round of Vegas. However, he and the band are opting for quality, not quantity, when it comes to releasing songs.

“We’re always working on music, but there’s some stuff we’re working on now that we’re absolutely in love with,” he said. “At this point, we don’t want to release anything until we’re happy. I think it gets harder, too.”

Levine jokingly continued, “I don’t think there’s anyone that’s been able to write and produce good material for too long. Eventually everyone starts to suck. So I’m hoping that I can last a little bit longer before I start sucking.”

Drake Officially Drops Diss Track 'Push Ups,' Name Drops Taylor Swift Fans, SZA, Maroon 5 and More

J ust days after the track first leaked,  Drake  has officially dropped his diss track, " Push Ups ," and OVO is far from being done with the name dropping.

"Push Ups" is Drake's clap back against a slew of adversaries that includes  Kendrick Lamar ,  Future , Metro Boomin,  A$AP Rocky ,  The Weeknd  and  Rick Ross . The beef is so longwinded at this point it more than deserves a detailed oral history . In "Push Ups," Drake refers to Lamar as "pipsqueak" and claims the Compton-born rapper wears a "size 7" shoe.

Not surprisingly, the cover art for "Push Ups" is a size 7 shoe sticker. 

In any event, Drake's latest diss track now also makes references to Maroon 5  and  Taylor Swift 's fans in the first verse.

"Maroon 5 need a verse / You better make it witty / Then we need a verse for the Swifties."

Swift, of course, just dropped her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , which made references to Charlie Puth, Travis Kelce and seemingly Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy. 

That line's followed by Drake directing Lamar to "pipe down" and blasting him as an artist who can't compare to  SZA .

"You ain't in no big three / SZA got you wiped down," raps Drake in reference to his initial lyric in his and J. Cole's 2023 track "First Person Shooter," in which Cole called him, Drake and Lamar the "Big 3" of rap. Lamar responded in "We Don't Trust You" by rapping, "motherf**k the big three ... it's just big me."

Drake's diss track comes just days after Uma Thurman  chimed in on Drake's ongoing beef. It started when Drake posted a still of Thurman's character, The Bride, surrounded by armed assailants from 2003's  Kill Bill: Volume 1  to his Instagram Story. Fans concluded that the image was referring to Drake's several ongoing feuds, with the Canadian likening him to the story's hero who will soon emerge victorious. 

Thurman caught wind of Drake's Story and responded in her own Instagram Story, sharing an image of the  Kill Bill  costume wrapped in plastic for storage and tagging the musician. "Need this?" Thurman wrote over the photo.

"Yes pls. The pen is Hattori Hanzō," Drake wrote in a repost, comparing his lyrical skills to the famed samurai.
