Justin Bieber Announces Rescheduled 2021 Tour Dates

By Claire Shaffer

Claire Shaffer

Justin Bieber has announced a rescheduled 2021 World Tour after his original Changes Tour shows this summer were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The new stadium and arena tour will kick off June 2nd, 2021, at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena, and run through August 15th, with a final show in Sacramento, California. Some of the dates are rescheduled from the original 45-date arena tour, while others are new shows added for 2021.

“I can’t wait to get out there and connect with my fans on this tour,” Bieber said in a statement. “We’ve been through so much this year. More than ever, we’ve come to understand how much we need each other, and how meaningful these moments can really be.”

The press release referred to the new tour as Justin Bieber World Tour, and on Twitter, Bieber manager Scooter Braun implied that a new album may be in the works:

Justin Bieber Unveils Dates To His Rescheduled 2022 ‘Justice’ World Tour

Carolyn Droke

Justin Bieber fans can rejoice as the singer has finally revealed the dates to his rescheduled tour. The singer had intended to hit the road in 2020 in support of his comeback album Changes , which he postponed last year in April. One pandemic, one album , and one EP later, Bieber is once again ready to hit the road.

Bieber’s Justice World Tour spans 52 dates. It kicks off in San Diego in February of 2022, almost exactly two years after the release of Changes , and comes to a close at Milwaukee’s Summerfest that June.

In a statement about his rescheduled tour, the singer said he’s attempting to make it as engaging as possible. “We’re working hard to make this tour the best one yet,” said Justin Bieber. “I’m excited to get out there and engage with my fans again.” Per press materials, $1 from each ticket sold will benefit the singer’s Bieber Foundation, which is “committed to supporting causes that embody justice in action.”

Justin bieber announces final justice world tour dates.

Posted by Buddy Iahn | May 24, 2022

Global trek covers six continents through March 2023 run

Justin Bieber has unveiled the final international dates for his record-setting Justice World Tour. The pop star has added an additional show for his run in Australia and New Zealand in November and December 2022, presented by Frontier Touring and AEG Presents.

Bieber adds a show for Sydney, Australia on November 29th where he’ll perform at Sydney Football Stadium. Melbourne fans are also in for some good news with updated production information allowing for a release of GA standing room only tickets at the rear of the floor to the previously sold out Marvel Stadium concert on Saturday, November 26th. The new tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 3rd at noon AEST.

The upcoming dates start this month in Mexico, with a stop in Italy before continuing on to Scandinavia for shows in August. He’ll then trek to South America, South Africa and the Middle East in September and October. The tour will close out the year in Asia, Australia and New Zealand before moving to the UK and Europe in early 2023. Additional dates have also been announced in Dubai, Bahrain, Sydney, New Delhi, Manila, Amsterdam, London and Dublin.

These new shows come on the heels of his 52-date 2022 North American tour , which kicked off in San Diego on February 18th. Each evening promises to be a celebration for both Bieber and his fans after the pandemic sidelined his 2020 tour .

Having sold in excess of 1.3 million tickets so far and selling out 31 dates within minutes , the tour travels to more than 30 countries and playing more than 125 shows from May 2022 through March 2023.

Recently, Bieber teamed with director Cole Bennett for his new single and video “Honest,” featuring Don Toliver. Punchy and uptempo, “Honest” marks Bieber’s first official single since “Ghost” – the anthemic finale to the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Justice – went No. 1 at pop radio in January, making chart history with the most No. 1 hits by a male solo artist in US radio history and the only fifth artist ever to reach 20 Top 5 hits on the Hot 100.

Over the past year, Bieber has set new marks in his highly-decorated career. “Stay” with The Kid Laroi, Bieber’s eighth career Hot 100 No. 1 single, made him the youngest solo artist ever to reach 100 hits on the chart. “Peaches,” his certified 3x Platinum smash, made the pop star the first male solo artist to debut at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 album chart and Billboard Hot 100 singles chart simultaneously.

Bieber’s eighth No. 1 album Justice has sold over eight million copies globally, amassed over 12 billion global streams, and was nominated for eight Grammys, including Album Of The Year. With an astounding 100 billion career streams and over 75 million albums sold globally, Bieber reigns as one of the biggest artists in the world. Bieber is the No. 1 artist on YouTube with over 68 million subscribers worldwide and is the No. 1 artist on Spotify global with 79 million monthly listeners.

He was named Artist Of The Year at the 2021 MTV VMAs and was nominated for 13 Billboard Music Awards. He’s been wowing fans nightly on the opening leg of his Justice World Tour 2022, the biggest and most ambitious tour of his career. Throughout, Bieber has remained committed to using his platform for social good, bringing his “Justice In Action” initiative to fans across the country, raising awareness on important issues like criminal justice reform, climate action, voter registration and much more.

The Justice World Tour, promoted by AEG Presents, is Bieber’s first global outing since 2016/2017’s Purpose World Tour. Bieber played to 2.7 million fans over the course of his 2016-2017 run, with the finale seen by 65,000 fans at London’s British Summer Time Hyde Park festival.

Justin Bieber Announces Massive 98-Date World Tour

The Justice Tour stretches all the way into 2023.

Justin Bieber is about to set sail. Next year, the “Peaches” singer will embark on a worldwide tour to promote his latest album, Justice. Following a two-year delay due to COVID-19, Bieber has finally secured the dates for his next concert event.

The Justice World Tour will begin on February 18th, 2022 and commence on March 25th, 2023. Currently the singer has 98 shows scheduled in 20 different countries, and he is bringing some friends along for the ride. Yesterday Bieber announced that Jaden Smith, Eddie Benjamin, Harry Hudson, and Mateo Arias are all joining the tour periodically. From the looks of things, the artists will take turns opening the show before his set begins.

Bieber's upcoming tour is the first time he’s performed globally in five years. The singer originally planned a North-American concert for his 2020 album Changes, but that was cancelled due to pandemic-restrictions. Since then, he’s teased the idea of returning to the stage but only recently made it official.

Though the set-list hasn’t been released, it appears the Justice World Tour will primarily focus on his new music. The corresponding album, Justice, was released in March of 2021 to fans' delight and produced three hit singles — “Holy” (featuring Chance The Rapper), “Peaches” (featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon), and Lonely (with Benny Blanco) — that were all wildly popular.

According to Bieber, his upcoming tour has been in the works for quite some time. In a press statement he said, “we’ve been working hard to create the best show we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait to share it with fans around the world. I’ll see you soon.”

Tickets are currently available to purchase on Biebers website , along with Ticketmaster , and StubHub . Keep reading for the full tour schedule, and learn when Justice will hit a venue near you.

The tour, which was originally scheduled to launch in 2020, has been postponed or delayed several times already, most recently due to his bout with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare virus that in his case caused facial paralysis. It finally launched in March and covered most of North America, but he postponed the remaining dates  early in June after announcing his difficulties with the disease.

Popular on Variety

The tour had been scheduled to resume on Oct. 22 in Malaysia, continue through east Asia, Australia and New Zealand before resuming in Europe in January and continuing through the end of March. The postponed North American dates also have not been officially canceled.

Despite Bieber’s previous announcement about his health, fans for the postponed dates, who cannot receive a refund until the shows are officially canceled, were not pleased by the announcements, judging by the comments on the post.

“Just cancel the rest of the tour at this point and give everyone a refund I can’t even remember how long ago I bought tickets it’s been that LONG!,” one wrote.

In announcing the postponements last month, Bieber wrote: “Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed.

“I performed six live shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I needed to make my health a priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being.

“I’m going to be OK, but I need time to rest and get better period I’ve been so proud to bring this show and our message of justice to the world.Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this exclamation point i love you all passionately!”

The announcement comes as a surprise, as Bieber was posting photos from his appearance at the Rock in Rio festival on Instagram the night before.

Hailey and Justin Bieber love a music festival date, so it's no surprise the couple turned up at the first weekend of Coachella 2024 .

The two made low-key appearances in the crowd on April 12 and April 13, dressed down to enjoy the annual event held in Indio, California.

While enjoying Ice Spice’s set on Saturday, Hailey, 27, chose a no-pants “comfort” look, wearing a baggy leather jacket, a black undershirt, white socks with black boots and neon green glow-in-the-dark nails.

Instagram/haileybieber

Justin, 30, matched her casual energy wearing a baggy sweater vest with off-white baggy shorts, a backward hat, white socks and Nike shoes.

Justin was spotted in the outfit hanging out with his longtime friend Jaden Smith , 25, and the two shared a bromance moment with Justin planting a kiss on Jaden’s cheek, as seen in a TikTok video shared by REAL 92.3.

Later in the day, he changed into pants and added a brown hoodie.

Hailey also rocked other looks over the weekend. To take in Lana Del Rey’s headlining set featuring surprise guest Billie Eilish , Hailey wore a black zip-up hoodie with a black hair wrap and tortoiseshell-patterned glasses.

In another look, while using her skincare brand Rhode’s Coachella photo booth, Hailey sported a green short-sleeved v-neck jersey and white shorts.

Their appearance at Coachella comes amid rumors of discourse in their marriage. However, a source recently told PEOPLE that the rumors weren't true .

“There’s no divorce and no truth to that whatsoever,” the insider said in early April. “They are very, very happy.”

The source further told PEOPLE that the Biebers are “doing really well.”

Hailey took the rumors into her own hands in March, attempting to put any of the chatter to rest.

She shared a blunt post to her Instagram Stories , writing, “Just FYI the stories and constant ‘blind items’ I see on TikTok are 100% of the time wrong Made out of thin air… Come from the land of delusion…So I know it may be fun feeding into these stories but just know they’re always false xx sorry to spoil it.”

At the end of March, the Biebers celebrated Easter together  with chocolate eggs with their names on them.

Hailey shared their festivities on her Instagram Stories on March 31. She also celebrated the day with her brand by stripping down to a cheeky swimsuit and bunny ears.

Justin Bieber Makes Surprise Appearance During Tems’ Coachella Performance

Justin Bieber Makes Surprise Appearance During Tems Coachella Performance

There are a few certainties about Coachella : the drinks will be expensive, the crowds will be huge and Justin Bieber will make a surprise appearance.

Though Bieber, 30, has kept a low profile over the years due to health issues, the “Baby” singer graced the Coachella stage again on Sunday, April 14. Like his past two appearances, Bieber’s cameo was unannounced ahead of time, though Tems did hint she had something special planned for her set.

“Coachella! I’m too exciteddd,” she posted on X. “I have a surprise tonight.”

After the 28-year-old singer was onstage, she brought out her fellow Afrobeats star, Wizkid, and then Bieber. Together, the three performed their 2021 hit, “Essence.”

For Bieber, this was his second performance of 2024, having first broken his hiatus in February. At Coachella, he seemed as comfortable as ever, rocking the mic while wearing a comfy hoodie, baggy khaki pants and a cap pulled down on his shaggy hair.

The audience went wild when the camera caught a close-up of a smiling Bieber having fun on stage again. When the song ended, Bieber gave everyone his love before exiting.

Bieber has made a habit out of these surprise Coachella performances. In 2022, he joined Daniel Caesar to sing their chart-topping hit, “Peaches.” Three years prior, Bieber appeared during Ariana Grande ’s set . Though Grande, 30, said she had no plans to have guests during her headlining set, Bieber had come “all the way out to spend some time” with her and the fans, so she thought “it might be fun to do something for you guys.” She and Bieber then performed his hit, “Sorry.”

At the time, Bieber had taken a break from performing. “I haven’t been on stage in, like, two years,” he said in 2019. “I came out here, [and] I had no idea I was going to be on this stage tonight. Absolutely no idea. I wore this fly outfit not knowing that I was going to be on stage.”

Similar to 2019, Bieber has recently been on a break from the spotlight and the stage after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome in 2022. The disorder left his face temporarily partially paralyzed and forced him to cancel the remaining dates on his Justice World Tour .

In February, Bieber gave his first public performance in over a year at the NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto. There were rumors that he was going to be part of Usher ’s Super Bowl LVIII Halftime performance , but Lil Jon — who was involved in the extravaganza — later revealed that “ Justin just wasn’t really ready ” to dive back in.

Justin Bieber Makes Surprise Appearance with Tems and Wizkid During 'Essence' at Coachella 2024

Bieber and Wizkid joined Tems on Sunday, April 14 in the desert for a rendition of the 2021 remix to the track

Justin Bieber was just one of the surprises Coachella 2024 had in store for fans this weekend.

On Sunday, April 14, the "Never Say Never" artist, 30, made an unexpected appearance during Tems' set at the California music festival alongside Wizkid.

While Tems was in the midst of performing the first verse of "Essence," she grinned as Wizkid appeared onstage, per fan-recorded footage of the set . As the duo alternated verses, Bieber shocked the audience by emerging from the side of the stage and serenading the "Higher" musician, 28. At the end of her set, Tems shared her gratitude for having her special guests and told the crowd, “This is crazy.”

The Grammy-nominated singer had been teasing the excitement of her set ahead of time with a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) in the hours leading up to her performance.

"Coachella! I’m too exciteddd I have a surprise tonight 👀," she wrote on the platform.

"Essence" was originally released in 2020 by Wizkid featuring Tems. The following year, a remix of the track was released featuring Bieber. It became the first Nigerian song to chart the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200 .

Tems' Coachella set featured nine songs, including a new one called “Love Me JeJe."

Other tracks featured were “Avoid Things,” “Replay,” “Crazy Tings," "Higher" and “Damages." She ended the concert with “Me & U” and “Free Mind.”

Bieber has remained largely under the radar since June 2022, when he announced his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome , which resulted in one half of his face experiencing paralysis. However, he appeared to be in good health on Sunday as he took the stage at Coachella.

At the time, the "Favorite Girl" performer said his condition was "pretty serious."

"I wish this wasn't the case, but obviously, my body is telling me I got to slow down, and I hope you guys understand, and I'll be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100 percent so that I can do what I was born to do," shared Bieber.

He also added that he was taking time to work on his health and was working on "facial exercises to get my face back to normal."

"It will go back to normal. It's just time," Bieber said. "We don't know how long it will be, but it will be OK."

Justin bieber makes rare onstage appearance with coachella cameo, justin bieber returns to stage with coachella surprise.

Justin Bieber 's giving his fans what they want -- if just for a brief moment ... as he got back on a stage to perform live, joining Tems for her Coachella set.

JB hit the stage with WizKid Sunday night at the California music festival, performing their hit song, "Essence" for the excited crowd. Check it out ... the audience goes totally nuts as Justin appears onstage in a black sweatshirt, cargo pants and a baseball hat.

Justin's cameo was a welcome surprise ... as the singer has been keeping a low profile following his Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis .

Remember, Justin was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder in June 2022, leading to the cancelation of his "Justice" tour .

Still, Justin has stepped out a bit more in recent months ... with the singer even performing a surprise 6-song set at the NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto back in February.

Many thought Justin's appearance at the hockey event meant he'd join Usher for the Super Bowl Halftime show , but he ultimately turned down the invitation.

As Lil Jon previously told TMZ ... the SB Halftime show was just too much for Justin to commit to doing. Justin did cheer on Usher from the stands, however, attending the Super Bowl with his wife, Hailey Bieber .

Nonetheless, Justin has a long history of making surprise cameos at Coachella. Not only did Justin stop by Daniel Caesar 's Coachella set in 2022 to perform "Peaches," but he also joined Ariana Grande in 2019 for her Coachella set.

Justin had also been spotted enjoying the festival earlier in the weekend, hugging it out Saturday with his longtime pal Jaden Smith .

Justin wasn't the only A-list surprise during Coachella weekend one ... as Will Smith joined J Balvin onstage, Olivia Rodrigo stopped by Gwen Stefani 's set, Billie Eilish hit the stage with Lana Del Rey and Kesha was invited by Reneé Rapp to perform a song.

Sounds like one for the books!!!

An Evening With Justin Bieber To Celebrate The Release Of His New Album "Purpose"

This year's Weekend One of Coachella was a pretty interesting one: a great Tyler, The Creator performance , some notable celebrity cameos, and another excuse for casual homophobia to run rampant online. Moreover, this last phenomenon is due to a clip of Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith embracing at the festival. In the video below, you can see the former hug the latter from behind and sway around dancing, and then the Canadian superstar lands a kiss on his friend's cheek. Of course, this led to a lot of pause-core reactions from users in the comments section below, many of which simply made fun of an innocuous public display of affection.

For example, here are some standouts: "That white n***a in front them looking like he can’t believe his own 2 eyes," "i don’t care what anybody says i don’t just kiss my boys on the cheek every time i leave," and "Why everyone moving gay now? Is it the new trend???" Sure, it's a pretty suggestive and odd interaction, but more so because of the public TMI nature of it, not the act itself. However, others commenting on Jaden Smith's hug drew a connection to Justin Bieber's ties to Diddy amid his sex trafficking scandal , which has also elicited a lot of sexuality discussions. "Look what diddy done did to him lmfaooo," one user wrote.

Jaden Smith & Justin Bieber's Viral Coachella Hug: See Comments For Reactions

For those unaware, Jaden Smith and Justin Bieber have a pretty public and tight relationship as friends, going on tour together and performing multiple times across their careers. They've never really done much beforehand to elicit this type of reactions from social media users, though. Regardless of the nature of their intimacy or how they view it, it's also just impossible to make a judgement call on this without knowing these people. Don't we all know of some weird physical bond between two of our friends that's hard to explain to others? Maybe we're just digging the grave further at this point...

Regardless, raising these eyebrows in a way that mostly puts homosexuality down is not the way to speak on what's simply somewhat cringe-inducing PDA between two pals. Also, they're both very much taken right now , so maybe that's what should be at the forefront of reactors' minds. But what do you think about this whole gossip train? Let us know in the comments and keep checking in with HNHH for more news and updates on Jaden Smith and Justin Bieber.
