Puddle of Mudd Announce 21-Date U.S. Tour

Puddle of Mudd have just announced a 21-date U.S. tour which begins this summer and will spill into the fall.

The run, which finds the post-grunge group supporting their 2019 album  Welcome to Galvania , is mostly comprised of small groupings of dates with some shows being more of the one-off variety with about a week between some stops.

Puddle of Mudd will first step onstage on July 16 in Fort Worth, Texas and it will be another five days before they're back playing before another set of fans for a brief stretch to end July. More sporadic dates are on the books for August with six shows set for September and two in both October and November, the last being November 20 in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin.

Welcome to Galvania was the first new record from Puddle of Mudd in a decade. Frontman Wes Scantlin had notoriously been troubled by numerous run-ins with the law and struggled with substance abuse, but time served in prison (including three months in solitary confinement) as well as a rehab facility, helped put him on a better path in life. Scantlin had also credited God with putting him in these situations, which he was able to find strength and education from.

Puddle of Mudd Announce Massive Comeback Tour

Puddle of Mudd drops their new single “Just Tell Me” with an accompanying music video. The song comes from Welcome to Galvania, Puddle of Mudd’s most recent release. The album is out now from Pavement Entertainment and available to stream digitally and on traditional formats. Watch “Just Tell Me” on Puddle of Mudd’s official YouTube channel.

Frontman Wes Scantlin says, “I love this song. ‘Just Tell Me’ is about falling in love…and when the relationship goes sideways, you’re just trying to do whatever you can to save it. Communication is key. It will heal your soul.”

In support of Welcome to Galvania, Puddle of Mudd announces upcoming US tour dates. The tour starts this summer on July 3rd in Savannah, GA, and concludes on November 20th in Ashwaubenon, WI. Puddle of Mudd looks forward to being able to play live shows again with many venues in the US lifting COVID related restrictions.

With a career spanning over two decades, Puddle of Mudd has cemented themselves as a prominent force in the world of rock music. Formed in 1991, multi-platinum-selling rock band, Puddle of Mudd has sold over seven million albums worldwide and has had a string of chart-topping hits, including "Blurry," "She Hates Me," "Psycho," "Famous," "Drift and Die," and "Control."

Puddle of Mudd's lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Wes Scantlin, has been the driving force behind the band's success since the band's inception. With his distinctive vocals and songwriting style, Scantlin has helped to define the band's sound and create some of the most memorable rock hits of the past two decades.

Shortly after being discovered and signed by Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst, Puddle of Mudd released their major-label debut album, Come Clean , on August 28, 2001. Come Clean spawned the singles "Blurry," "Control," "Drift & Die" and "She Hates Me." These hits propelled Puddle of Mudd to reach the number 5 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This success led to the band venturing out on a full-scale European and American tour, hitting the road with Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots, and Staind. Come Clean reached triple platinum status in January of 2003.

Puddle of Mudd's subsequent albums, Life on Display (2003), Famous (2007), and Vol. 4: Songs in the Key of Love and Hate (2009), solidified their place in the rock pantheon. The band also released an album of cover songs, entitled Re: (disc)overed , in 2011.

Puddle of Mudd's 2019 album release, Welcome To Galvania , was produced by Cameron Webb (Alkaline Trio, Disturbed, Motorhead). "Uh Oh", the first single off of Welcome To Galvania , reached the number 9 position on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart.

Puddle of Mudd continues to evolve and inspire fans with their music, with the release of their seventh studio album, Ubiquitous . The album was released on September 8th, 2023 via Pavement Entertainment.

With Wes Scantlin at the helm, Ubiquitous promises to showcase the signature hard-hitting sound that Puddle of Mudd is known for, as well as a fresh take on their unique style.

Despite PoM being one of my favorite bands to see live, I seriously debated on whether to buy tix to this show, based on Wes' antics of late. Well, as I feared, Wes had another meltdown on stage and they barely made it through 3 songs before the show was over. He needs HELP now! Smashed his guitar, the drumset, etc. Also, I am almost certain he was lip-synching again! I will not see another show unless I am sure he's gotten help and cleaned himself up!

I liked the atmosphere of the venue. The opener was great but seemed like the sound guy had no idea what he was doing. Try making all bands sound good not just the headliner. Puddle of Mudd was decent but not worth $50 a ticket. Love the venue though.

Awesome opening act. Puddle of Mudd sucked though.

Puddle of Mudd released their latest album, Welcome To Galvania, in September 2019 via Pavement Entertainment. The album was produced by Cameron Webb (Alkaline Trio, Disturbed, Motorhead). Welcome To Galvania marks the band’s sixth studio album and first full-length album of new material since their 2009 release, Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love and Hate.

“Uh Oh”, the first single off of Welcome To Galvania, reached the number 9 position on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. The song takes a look at Scantlin’s misadventures through a fun, humorous lens. Scantlin says, “Sometimes, you run into the wrong crowd. It sucks. But from negativity, you can always bring positivity, optimism, hope and joy.” Bringing music to people from all walks of life has served as a major catalyst in helping Scantlin overcome his past struggles with addiction. Welcome to Galvania shows how Scantlin has been embracing this next chapter of his life with sobriety.

“Once a songwriter, always a songwriter,” says Scantlin. “You can never put down the instruments. You have to focus on the creation of amazing music. You might be able to touch people’s souls and possibly even save them from disaster. You can enlighten them and bring more love to their lives. This is just the beginning. I have a lot more rock ‘n’ roll in me to share with the world.”

Puddle of Mudd is excited to head back into the studio in early 2022 to start working on their next full-length album.
