Andy is a multi-award winning comedian who started his career writing for Weekending and Smith and Jones, and went on to become one of the main writers on the ground-breaking Spitting Image satirical puppet show. As well as being a regular on Mock The Week for ten years, Andy has performed on numerous radio and TV shows including Live at the Apollo, QI, Saturday Live, The Stand Up Show, The Comedy Store, The PMQ Show, Scrooby Trevithick, and Parsons and Naylor’s Pull-Out Sections.
To date he has done six sell-out national tours and released four DVDs – Britain’s Got Idiots, Gruntled, Slacktivist and Live And Unleashed – But Naturally Cautious, as well as releasing a podcast Slacktivist Action Group, recorded monthly at the Soho Theatre. He has also appeared on Question Time, The Daily Politics, This Week and Newsnight, and writes columns for The Independent.

Following a run at the Edinburgh Fringe, comedy favourite Andy Parsons is back on the road with his brand new stand up show this Autumn.
We’ve been visited by the Four Horsemen in the form of Disease, Death, War and overpriced Ketchup, so what hope can there be? Andy is Bafflingly Optimistic .
Andy started his career writing non-commissioned for Radio 4’s Weekending and went on to become one of the main writers of the original Spitting Image on ITV. Having had his own Radio 2 series for 6 years, he became a regular panellist on Mock The Week and has made numerous TV appearances on the likes of Live At The Apollo, The Comedy Store and QI .

Welsh fans can catch Andy at three Welsh venues (not at the same time, obviously!) Andy will play The Ffwrnes, Llanelli on Thursday November 30, Theatre Mwldan, Cardigan on December 1 and Savoy Theatre, Monmouth on December 2.

Bafflingly Optimistic to hit the road after Edinburgh Fringe run
Former Mock The Week regular Andy Parsons has announced an autumn tour.
The comic will play 19 dates of his new show Bafflingly Optimistic, after unveiling it with a two-week run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Blurb for the show says: ‘We've been visited by the Four Horsemen in the form of Disease, Death, War and overpriced Ketchup, so what hope can there be? Andy is Bafflingly Optimistic.’
It kicks off in Barnard Castle on September 14 and wraps in Monmouth on December 2. Tickets go on general sale at 11am on Tuesday.
