Canopy & Seat

Offering three position recline and affixed either parent or world facing, the egg2® seat is designed to promote comfort for longer.

The new seat is 7cm taller and sits 3.6cm higher. Also featuring a new slider mechanism accessed via the rear of the seat allows for the simultaneous quick ‘n’ easy adjustment of the harness and new headrest. For older children, the seat has a 5-position calf adjustment – including a concealed storage compartment which is super handy for small items. Underneath the calf rest is an integrated insect net, which simply pulls out over the seat unit when required, then can be tucked back in. The seat canopy features a ventilation net, also used as a viewing window, which can be closed using magnets sewn into the fabric.

Best of all, the new egg seat is tested to 25kg as a single stroller (15kg each seat in tandem mode), so it lasts right up until baby is walking. Carrycot

The egg2® carrycot has evolved in both its shape and release mechanism; as a spacious nest suitable from birth – 9kg, it is longer and features an ergonomic release lever positioned at the head end. Like the seat unit – It also features a ventilation net and viewing window.

The egg® Carry Cot is suitable for use in both single and tandem mode, and can even be used for occasional over night sleeping.

egg Shell Car Seat

The egg Shell i-Size infant carrier offers a full co-ordinating travel system experience for your egg stroller, whilst maintaining the highest safety standards for your little one’s car travel.

Suitable for rearward facing travel from 40 to 80cm (birth to approx. 15 months), the egg Shell (i-Size) car seat features an enhanced side-impact protection shell, as well as a memory foam headrest providing optimum cushioning for baby in the event of a collision. In addition, the egg Shell has enhanced inner-body padding (for use from newborn), which provides key support for both the side and upper leg muscles on car journeys. As their muscles strengthen, develop and grow, these key protective cushions can be removed enabling baby to use the seat up to 13kg.

The Shell features a retractable four-position canopy, ideal for providing essential shade from the sun. Stitched from the same fabric as the rest of the seat, the curvature of the canopy is reminiscent of the iconic egg curve.

There are three handle positions in total, the third forming a stabiliser to prevent rocking in the car seat when it is placed on a flat surface, such as the floor.

Tandem Mode Options

A general taller and longer chassis has made for greater space in all tandem configurations, which will require the new egg2® tandem adaptors. For twins or close in age siblings – tandem seats are currently available in limited colours.

With a redesigned central hub, the central chassis is positioned 3.6cm higher than on the original egg, bringing baby closer to you and making tending to newborns easy when set up as a pram. Height adaptors are also still compatible with the egg 2.

The carrycot or seat unit has to be removed before folding, but collapsing the frame is a one-handed operation that leaves a very compact package, which freestands with your leatherette handle clear of the ground.

The latest fabrics offer soft-touch marl tailoring in a range of earthy, on-trend colours, with matching footmuffs and backpack-style changing bags as part of this bundle. The Special Edition strollers come with a luxury ‘top loader’ backpack included.

One of the benefits of the egg stroller is the ability to turn it into a tandem should a new baby come along with just the additional purchase of tandem adaptors (a new version for the egg 2). Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you. • Under no circumstances should a rearward-facing car seat be used on a passenger seat where there is an active airbag.
• Correct fitting of all car seats and boosters is of paramount importance in making them the most effective in the event of an accident. Not all car seats fit all cars and it is important to check for fitting suitability on all cars you intend to fit the seat to, as well as re-checking if you change your car.
• Always read the instruction booklet which comes with your car seat to achieve a safe and correct fitting, retaining the guide for future reference. We recommend fitting your car seat in advance of first using it.
• We recommend that babies shouldn't be left in car seats (infant carriers) for prolonged periods.

Suitability:

• Please make sure that you check the car seat you choose is suitable for your car before ordering. This can be done in store with a Partner or on the car seat manufacturer's website.
• Some of our shops offer a car seat fit test, where a Nursery advisor will test the display model in your car to check that it will fit properly. Please contact your local shop to see if this service is available. Alternatively, please contact the car seat manufacturer who will be able to advise whether their model will be suitable for your car.

Car seats adhere to strict safety regulations and conform to one of the following two types of seats:

• Height-based seats - These seats adhere to the safety regulation R129. They must be rear-facing until your child is over 15 months old. Your child can use a forward-facing child car seat when they’re over 15 months old. You must check the seat to make sure it’s suitable for the height of your child. i-Size is an enhancement of R129 that makes it easier to confirm your car seat's compatibility with any i-Size approved vehicle - reducing the risk of installing your car seat incorrectly. While all i-Size car seats meet the R129 testing standards, not every R129 car seat is an i-Size compatible seat.
• Weight-based seats - These seats adhere to the R44.04 car seat regulation. The seat your child can use (and the way they must be restrained in it) depends on their weight.
