Chapel Hart Will Embark on Their First Headlining Tour Next Year

Talented country trio Chapel Hart will hit the road for their first headlining tour in 2023.

Sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and cousin Trea Swindle won the hearts of America's Got Talent viewers earlier this year but have been steadily making their mark on country music for years. Over the past few months, the Poplarville, Miss. natives have earned praise from greats like Dolly Parton and Tanya Tucker. Their talents also drew the attention of Darius Rucker, who recruited them for the stellar collaboration, " Ol' Church Hymn ."

As they continue to ride this much-deserved wave of success, Chapel Hart have plotted an extensive tour that kicks off Jan. 26 in Wichita, Kansas, and continues across the U.S. through mid-July.

The trek marks a significant milestone for the hard-working trio, who have been performing together since 2014.

"It feels really amazing to be going out on our first-ever headlining tour," Devynn Hart explains. "God has truly had his hands on us and our careers. We are forever grateful for every opportunity."

Her cousin, Trea, reiterated their excitement over the opportunity. "A wise woman once said, 'Give the people what they want,' but it's so much better when it's exactly what you want as well," she notes. "We just want to show as many people as we can that anything is possible if you work hard and never give up on your dreams."

"In my entire career, I've never been more excited, nervous, proud and every emotion imaginable," Danica Hart adds. "We'll be able to share our songs and stories with the millions of people who got to watch us on TV, and now they get to experience us up close and personal. This tour will remind people that These Are The GLORY DAYS!"

Lucas Hoge , fellow country singer-songwriter and host of Sportsman Channel's Hoge Wild television series, will act as support for the first leg of the tour through March 26.

Loretta Lynn isn’t the only country icon that Chapel Hart is inspired by. For their America’s Got Talent audition in 2022, they performed their original song “You Can Have Him, Jolene,” which was a take on the lyrics to to classic “Jolene” by Dolly Parton. But this time, Chapel Hart’s version tells the story of female empowerment and independence.

Parton herself was so impressed by the performance, that she even acknowledged the trio on Twitter.  "What a fun new take on my song!" she wrote. "Carl's [Parton's husband] birthday is today, so I think I'll hang on to him, and I'm not notifying Jolene that today is his birthday."

with special guest Roberta Lea* Chapel Hart has found a way to gift wrap their Mississippi roots and Louisiana spice and share it with listeners around the world. Sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and cousin Trea Swindle, went from singing together as children in Hart's Chapel, to a world-class group whose colorful and contagious energy has flourished into a full live band experience that fills venues at home and around the country. Chapel Hart has an amazing ability to tug on your heartstrings with a tender yet powerful ballad, then have you pumping your fist in unison to the pulse of hard-hitting music. The cohesiveness of the band has not gone unnoticed as they have garnered thousands of fans from all over the world and have received hundreds of thousands of views online of their performances. In 2021 Chapel Hart was inducted into CMT's Next Women of Country, the institution that has been known to help up-and-coming female country artists such as Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBride, and Gabby Barrett to name a few. This Mississippi trio's music has reached fans around the globe, earning them the title of "International Group of the Year" as well as "International Song of the Year" for the single "You Can Have Him Jolene" in Scotland. They were also nominated in multiple categories by the British CMAs including "Group of the Year" and "Album of the Year" for their sophomore release "The Girls Are Back In Town." The trio has a natural ability to make people join together in song and dance and in their live performances. They often note music's incredible power to unite people of all nationalities, religions, and walks of life. The ladies will often treat the audience to three-part harmony a capella arrangements that range from energetic and playful to emotional and chilling. Chapel Hart has entertained people from all over the world, and the decision is always unanimous - there's no experience quite like the Chapel Hart experience! About Roberta Lea With a voice like cinnamon and a pen like butter, Roberta Lea is a rising artist, ready to give the world a taste of what she's made of. Fellow artists have called her Hampton Roads’ best-kept secret. It's as though she's a family recipe, kept hidden until now.

Fellow musicians have described her sound as "country-neo-pop". As a millennial, it's often quite difficult to pin her down to one particular genre. Her influences range from 80s RnB legends like Roberta Flack, Anita Baker, and Sade, to pop 90s girl-power players like Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain, and everything in between.

"One of my biggest references as an artist right now is Tina Turner," Lea says. "Although she's always been a dominating presence in pop culture as the Queen of Rock n' Roll, recently I've rediscovered her through the lens of country music."

Lea finds comfort in Tina's raspy vocals as she explores the uniqueness of her own voice. She's been described vocally as a Tina Turner/Macy Gray grit, lyrically clever like George Strait, incorporates some Pop-fun like Shania Twain, and at times delivers her slower, more sentimental material like Norah Jones.

Pursuing music at 35 may seem like it's a late start for some, but for Roberta Lea, it's ideal. She's been slowly marinating and soaking in LIFE. Now that she's ready to do music, she has a buffet of songs that are sure to appease any listener's pallet.

Just ask the Black Opry. Her single “Sweet Baby Ray” hit the spot in the hearts of fellow artists and music lovers alike and drove her to record her very first country project “Just A Taste”. Now, she’s been nominated for 6 music awards including Song of the Year and Best E.P.! “Just A Taste” showcases the different flavors of country she infuses in her songwriting. She goes from classic country to country soul, country rock, pop country, and country folk. As a songwriter, she has no limits when it comes to expressing herself through song and telling a good story.

As a Virginian, Roberta Lea follows a long list of iconic artists and hitmakers. From classics like Ella Fitzgerald and Patsy Cline to icons like Pharrell, Timberland, and Missy Elliot, legends like The Dave Matthews Band and Pat Benatar, to modern-day rising stars like Old Dominion and Morgan Wade. As a songwriter and an artist, she’s in great company and confident that she's next.

Chapel Hart Announces First-Ever Headlining Tour

Chapel Hart's members —sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and their cousin, Trea Swindle— are no strangers to the road, considering the countless miles logged in recent years. Yet a batch of 2023 dates billed as the Glory Days Tour mark the group's first as a headlining act. The first slate of dates stretch from Jan. 26 to July 15 and feature Lucas Hoge as opening support.

"It feels really amazing to be going out on our first ever headlining tour," Devynn Hart shared in a press release. "God has truly had his hands on us and our careers. We are forever grateful for every opportunity."

The tour follows a busy 2022, during which the trio debuted on the Grand Ole Opry stage, collaborated with Darius Rucker and won over new fans as America's Got Talent finalists.

"In my entire career, I've never been more excited, nervous, proud and every emotion imaginable," Danica shared. "We'll be able to share our songs and stories with the millions of people who got to watch us on TV, and now they get to experience us up close and personal. This tour will remind people that these are the Glory Days!"

Dates include major cities and small towns— for example, the trio will headline venues in both Atlanta and Rome, Ga.

"A wise woman once said, 'Give the people what they want,' but it's so much better when it's exactly what you want as well," Swindle added. "We just want to show as many people as we can that anything is possible if you work hard and never give up on your dreams."

Chapel Hart releases new song ‘Glory Days,’ announces tour dates

Chapel Hart

America’s Got Talent top-five finalist Chapel Hart has released a new song called “Glory Days” just before the Poplarville-based band begins its first nationwide tour.

From January 21 to July 7, the three singers — sisters, Danica and Devynn Hart, and their cousin, Trea Swindle — will travel to nearly 50 different venues to perform for fans across the U.S.

In mid-September, Chapel Hart was featured as a top five finalist on America’s Got Talent  after receiving the Golden Buzzer  from the judges during their first audition. Although the country music trio fell just shy of winning the $1 million grand prize and a show in Las Vegas, the three singers’ fame has skyrocketed across the nation and state.

During their tour, the trio will also perform a live debut of another new song titled “Welcome to Fist City,” which will be dedicated to the late singer-songwriter Loretta Lynn.

Although the tour will not include any stops in Mississippi, you can watch Chapel Hart’s new music video below or catch one of their tour performances .

Chapel Hart Announce Full-Length Album, ‘Glory Days’

After taking America's Got Talent by storm last year and making their Grand Ole Opry debut, Chapel Hart  are now preparing to release a full-length album, Glory Days , on May 19.

The family trio made the announcement prior to their appearance on CMT Music Awards. Sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and cousin Trea Swindle performed a portion of their song "You Can Have Him Jolene" on the Ram Trucks Stage during the awards show.

That track — inspired by Dolly Parton 's iconic "Jolene" — garnered the group a lot of attention when they auditioned on America's Got Talent . It even caught the ear of the late Loretta Lynn , who, before she died, asked Chapel Hart to create a similar song inspired by her 1968 hit "Fist City."

They went to work and created a new song titled "Welcome to Fist City."

Both songs will be featured on their new album in addition to the project's title track, which has previously been released. Glory Days is their first full-length album since their time on AGT .

"We've never been more excited about delivering new music to you guys," the band explain on social media. "We’ve been through so much together and sharing the highs and lows of our ‘Glory Days’ through song has indeed been the joy of our lives!"

Chapel Hart are currently on the road with their headlining Glory Days Tour. The 46-date trek kicked off on Jan. 26 and continues through July 15.

"It feels really amazing to be going out on our first-ever headlining tour," Devynn Hart shares . "God has truly had his hands on us and our careers. We are forever grateful for every opportunity."

ABOUT CHAPEL HART:   Born and raised in the Mississippi mud and slow-simmered in Louisiana spice, county music trio Chapel Hart has brought a taste of the South to audiences around the world—and everyone is craving more! Made up of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart along with first cousin Trea Swindle, these three southern belles took 2022 by storm. Their meteoric rise came shortly after appearing on America’s Got Talent and receiving the second ever “Group Golden Buzzer” which prompted America and the rest of the world to pay attention. Deemed “America’s Sweethearts” as they claimed a spot in the finals, Chapel Hart earned praise from country music pillars such as Tanya Tucker, Darius Rucker, the one and only Dolly Parton, and the late Loretta Lynn. Shortly after the show, the ladies made their Grand Ole Opry debut and received four standing ovations. Chapel Hart has since returned to that iconic stage several times and has quickly become a mainstay in the country music industry.

This independent band continues its momentum, contending with some of the nation’s biggest country stars and they’re not slowing down anytime soon. The accolades keep rolling in as they made a sweep at the New Orleans “Best of the Beat” Offbeat Magazine awards, winning all categories in which they were nominated, including “Best Music Video,” “Best Country Artist,” “Song of the Year” and topped off the evening with “Artist of the Year.” So far in 2023, the group has been named one of Music Row’s “Next Big Thing” and are part of CMT’s Listen UP class, and the Grand Ole Opry NextStage class.

The trio performed on the CMT Music Awards on CBS in April and announced their brand-new album, Glory Days, will be out on May 19, 2023.  The highly anticipated project features the title track, written by the trio along with Jim Beavers and newly released “Welcome To Fist City,” a song inspired and requested by the late Loretta Lynn.  Their first ever headlining tour, The Glory Days Tour, kicked off in January and spans coast to coast with sixty shows and counting! Chapel Hart has entertained crowds around the country, and the decision is always unanimous, there’s no experience quite like the Chapel Hart experience!

Ship Model Gallery

Combining precision and craftsmanship in an exacting work of art, ship models evoke the fascination that we have for the sea and sea travel.

Few public figures have had more influence on modern political and social life than former British Prime Minister, Winston Spencer-Churchill. Fewer still had an ongoing relationship with the Queen Mary. To commemorate their affinity a new Churchill-themed exhibition has been brought to the Queen Mary.

Shipyard – LEGO® Ship Model

Measuring 26 feet, weighing over 600lbs. And made from 250,000 LEGO bricks, the LEGO Queen Mary brick model ship is a masterpiece to be seen. The model was designed by England’s certified LEGO Builder, Bright Bricks, Inc., to commemorate Britain’s most famous ocean liner.

The Cunard Story

The Cunard Story An exhibition on the Queen Mary, one of the most celebrated Cunard® ocean liners—explores the rich history of the extraordinary company that designed and built more than 150 ships over the past 175 years. Today, Cunard offers the most luxurious and unique cruise experiences available—adventures curated for travelers who savor the world.

Sun Deck/Bridge/Sports Deck

Sports Deck FWD | Daily 10am – 6pm

The nerve center for the entire ship. The BRIDGE includes the WHEELHOUSE, CHART ROOM, SIGNAL BRIDGE, and the DOCKING WINGS. The bridge is about 90 feet above the ship’s waterline.

Sports Deck | Daily 10am – 6pm

The Radio Room houses some of the original equipment used by the Queen Mary during her incredible career. The current radio room features an array of amateur radio equipment which has been used to broadcast communications around the world. Guests walking past the exhibit are likely to have a front-row seat of a real broadcast, as this space has been actively used since 1979.

Promenade Deck

Commodore’s office.

Promenade Deck Main Hall | Daily 2pm – 4pm

Formerly the Austin Reed of Regent Street clothing store (a famous, luxury brand clothier) the Commodore’s Office is now the day room of our ship’s Commodore, Everette Hoard. Much of this space is still very much original and intact. The Commodore’s Office features a number of the ship’s lavish furnishings; as well as some pieces from Commodore’s private collection. Guests are encouraged to stop in for a visit, or even just a photo with Commodore, our Staff Captain, or Chief Officer.

QM Heritage Room

Daily 10am – 6pm

See the ship through the eyes of those who served and sailed aboard her. The Queen Mary Heritage Room features video interviews of former crew members, war brides, and soldiers; all of whom share fond memories of this historic vessel. This rich history is the very foundation of the ship’s enduring legacy.

Promenade Deck Main Hall – Starboard Side  | Daily 10am – 6pm

This incredible exhibit features numerous models which showcase The Cunard® Line’s fleet; all the way from the historic  RMS Britannia  to ships from the current fleet, like the  Queen Elizabeth . Undoubtedly, the real showstoppers are the giant, cutaway models of:  RMS Lusitania ,  SS Normandie , and  RMS Titanic . These highly detailed, 1/48th models were all lovingly handmade by Father Roberto Pirrone, of Gardena, CA.

Features the World’s Largest LEGO ® Model of the Queen Mary. When you’re finished counting all 250,000 LEGO® blocks, see if you can spot the white, LEGO® cat.

Bow FWD  | Daily 10am – 6pm

During WWII the ship was outfitted with anti-aircraft weaponry to defend herself. This 40 mm gun is the same type of defensive weapon used onboard; to safely carry nearly a million troops throughout the war.

Promenade Deck Main Hall – Port Side  | Daily 10am – 6pm

The Music Room was a place where musicians, entertainers, lecturers, radio personalities and the like could rehearse. This upright piano is original to the ship, however, when the ship was in service a baby grand piano nearly filled this space.

Children’s Playroom

The original location of the Cabin or First Class Playroom. There were three playrooms available for the younger set on the Queen Mary. Each had a specific look, but all contained numerous toys that would appeal to both boys and girls. A Stewardess was assigned to oversee the youngsters. She would often gather the little ones and read to them. Play continued until the parents came to collect their children. The original artwork in this display came from the Tourist and Third Class Children’s Playrooms. The furniture is from all three classes.

Travel Bureau

This is the original Cabin or First-Class travel bureau as it was remodeled after WWII. The desks and chairs are those that were aboard when the ship sailed to Long Beach. Original desk top accessories and copies of brochures have been placed to show what would have been found when a passenger wished to make further travel arrangements. Here one could book another cruise on the Queen Mary or other liners and make train or plane reservations.

A-Deck FWD | Daily 10am – 6pm

The Cunard Story An exhibition on the Queen Mary, one of the most celebrated Cunard® ocean liners—explores the rich history of the extraordinary company that designed and built more than 150 ships over the past 175 years. Today, Cunard offers the most luxurious and unique cruise experiences available—adventures curated for travelers who savor the world.

Fire was a constant concern for “The Ship of Beautiful Woods.” The Fire Station was, not only, the first line of defense to protect the ship, it was also top-of-the-line technology that’s still impressive, even by modern day standards.

B-Deck FWD Portside | Daily 10am – 6pm

A mysteriously vague entry in the ship’s log, dated September 1949, states that a passenger was found dead in his cabin; which is now the hotel room referred to as B340. While no name was given, legends have claimed the victim as “Walter.” There is much lore surrounding Walter and the events that occurred in B340; and many believe that Walter is a vengeful spirit who loves to make his presence known. Reports of strange activity in B340 span from the ship’s days as an ocean liner, to the present day. Perhaps all of the activity is just Walter trying to get someone to listen to his side of the story. If you’re feeling brave enough, ask him yourself. He might just tell you.

First-Class Pool Viewing Area

Ask just about any paranormal investigator or medium about haunted locations aboard the Queen Mary , and you’ll probably hear many stories about the first-class pool. Why? Many believe this to be the most-haunted room aboard. Whether you hear about the ghost of a little girl named “Jackie” who loves to sing and play hide-and-seek with guests, or legends about this space becoming a “vortex” (whirlpool of energy) which allows spirits to pass between realms, seems like there’s one thing everyone can agree on: this famous Art Deco pool has become one of the most-visited locations on the entire ship.

Engine Room

Visitor’s Center D-Deck Stern | Daily 10am – 6pm

Venture down to the Engine Room and see the very heartbeat of this massive ship! Each of the 2 Engine Rooms contained 2 of the ship’s 4 powerful engines. These steam-powered turbine engines produced 40,000 horsepower a piece! When Queen Mary was speeding across the Atlantic at 28.5 knots, these engines would be turning the ship’s massive propellers 3 times every second! Fans of the paranormal will want to brave the Engine Room's lower level to check out the infamous watertight door 13, where guests often hear a wrench banging against the door.

Printing Press

Often described as a virtual floating city, the Queen Mary carried her own fully equipped print shop. Functioning under the direction of the ship’s purser, the print shop provided daily newspapers, programs of activities, and menus for the passengers.

Propellor Box

The Queen Mary had 4 massive propellers (or screws) to propel her through the waters at incredible speed. Each propeller was driven independently by its own turbine engine and was made of manganese bronze. The first set of propellers each measured 20 feet across and weighed 35 tons; however, these proved to produce too much vibration. The second set, and every set thereafter would consist of propellers that each measured 18.5 feet across, coming in at 32 tons each. The slightly smaller propellers proved much more effective to combat the vibration issue. In all, the Queen Mary would have 22 sets of propellers throughout her 31 years of sailing. Each time a new set would be installed, each of the propellers were so perfectly balanced that you could spin the massive propeller by hand! Visitors of the Propeller Box will be able to see the last remaining propeller on the ship.

Aft Steering

The Queen Mary had a number of backup systems to keep her functional. Aft Steering shows two redundant systems (one power steering system and one manual) by which the ship could still be steered, if her primary systems became inoperable. Additionally, visitors can also view the 3 massive electric generators, which powered the 2 hydraulic cylinders that pumped back and forth, turning the linkage which drove the rudder from side to side; thus, guiding the ship. The ship’s rudder was 3 stories tall and weighed 140 tons. At the time of its installation, this was the largest rudder ever installed on any ship!

Their Finest Hours: Winston Churchill and The Queen Mary

Learn about Winston Churchill’s relationship with the Queen which served as his sea borne war room during WWII. It is thought that Churchill traveled aboard the Queen Mary at least 10 times in both war and peace time. This exhibit includes original set pieces from the award-wining film, “Darkest Hours.” It is an in depth look into the person many consider to be the greatest statesman of the 20th century.

Sisters of the Sea

Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, created by a ship enthusiast Tom Varney over the past 20 years. These two 8-foot beauties are 3/32” + 1-foot representations of the original liners each made of balsa wood. Walk around these works of art and marvel at these two sisters of the sea.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).

Warning: this episode contains strong language.

Over the past week, students at dozens of universities held demonstrations, set up encampments and, at times, seized academic buildings. In response, administrators at many of those colleges decided to crack down and called in the local police to detain and arrest demonstrators.

As of Thursday, the police had arrested 2,000 people across more than 40 campuses, a situation so startling that President Biden could no longer ignore it.

Jonathan Wolfe, who has been covering the student protests for The Times, and Peter Baker, the chief White House correspondent, discuss the history-making week.

On today’s episode
