If you’re looking to add more Halloween adventures to your bucket list this fall, this cruise is worth checking out.
Awesome Events Philly is hosting the Spirit of Philadelphia Cruise which is a super awesome haunted dinner cruise that is not taking reservations for the Halloween season.
I, personally, have never seen anything like this in our area so this is super unique if you’re a big Halloween fan. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, so I’m always looking for fun events to squeeze in before the end of October like this.
This spooky cruise is going to set sail on the Delaware River right in Philadelphia, PA! According to the Facebook event page made by Awesome Events Philadelphia, this event is stacked with some really amazing views, food, and more!
Passengers will be able to see the Philly skyline throughout the night, Battleship NJ, and the Delaware River bridges. While cruising on the Ben Franklyn Yacht , you’ll be able to dance all night long because special DJs will be aboard the ship each night they set sail!
This event is of course going to bring the boos as well as the booze, with their fully stacked cash bar which, according to the Awesome Events Philadelphia event page, says is stocked with top-shelf liquor and drink specials.
There’s personally nothing better than a themed drink, especially a Halloween-themed drink! The buffet-style menu is also stacked with foods like sausage and peppers, roast beef, mashed potatoes, fried rice, pasta, bread, and salads, so everyone aboard will be fed all night long.
This midnight dinner cruise event sets sail on Friday, October 28 at 11:30 pm, lasting for about 2 and a half hours. Tickets are on sale now here and costumes are not required, but are EXTREMELY encouraged!

Cincinnati Reds Cruise Past Philadelphia Phillies 8-1
Cincinnati improves to 13-10 on the season.
- Author: Caleb Sisk
In this story:
The Cincinnati Reds cruised past the Phillies on Tuesday 8-1
Reds starter Andrew Abbott made it through 4 1/3 innings giving up two hits, one run, and four walks. He struck out three batters before being pulled.
The Phillies struck fast and struck hard with a double from Alec Bohm that scored J.T. Realmuto.
This was their lone score that came in the top half of the first inning.
Christian Encarnacion-Strand answered with a RBI double in the bottom of the inning to tie the game 1-1. Then he hit a single in the third to give the Reds the lead.
Nick Martini and Santiago Espinal both followed with RBI singles.
The biggest moment of the game came when Elly De La Cruz hit his seventh homer of the season. He rocked one deep for a two-run shot that gave Cincinnati a 7-1 lead.
Santiago Espinal homered in the eighth inning to give the Reds an 8-1 advantage. Cincinnati improves to 13-10 on the season.

1 dead after shuttle bus crashes at a Honolulu cruise ship terminal
- Copy Link copied
HONOLULU (AP) â One person died and multiple people were injured when a shuttle bus collided with pedestrians and concrete barriers at a Honolulu cruise ship terminal, authorities said Friday.
The crash occurred when the shuttle bus driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake, Honolulu police said in statement.
The driver had dropped off customers at Pier 2 when bystanders noticed the bus was moving forward, police said. The driver jumped in the driverâs seat and attempted to stop the vehicle when he stepped on the gas, police said.
One pedestrian, a 68-year-old woman, died. Paramedics took four others in their 50s and 60s to the hospital in serious condition. They also took a man in his 70s to the hospital in stable condition.
Paramedics evaluated and bandaged six others who declined transportation to the hospital, said Honolulu Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Shayne Enright.
Police said speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Itâs unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved, police said.
U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans is cruising to a fifth term after defeating Tracey Gordon
Evans effectively secured his fifth term in Congress with no Republican challenger on the ballot.
Democratic U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans has likely secured a fifth term in Congress, fending off a Democratic challenger Tuesday.
Evans overwhelmingly defeated former Philadelphia Register of Wills Tracey Gordon on Tuesday. The Associated Press called the race for Evans at 8:14 p.m. No Republican is seeking to challenge him in November.
âI do not take your support lightly and Iâm ready to fight like crazy to make sure our Democratic slate wins in November,â Evans said in a Twitter post after the race was called. âTonight we celebrate and tomorrow letâs get to work!â
Evans, who represents most of Philadelphia west of Broad Street and parts of South Philadelphia, was the first Black representative to chair the House Appropriations Committee in 1990. In the GOP-controlled House of Representatives, he now sits on the Ways and Means Committee, which controls raising revenue and administering social programs including Medicare and Social Security.
He is a key ally of Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker and President Joe Biden.
Gordon, who lost reelection as register of wills due to several controversies , had argued Philadelphia needed a fresh face in Congress. She conducted a fairly limited campaign, making the case for her candidacy on Instagram but never establishing a campaign website.
