Volendam (villages):

Come to know the hardworking people of this rugged fishing village that still keep to many traditional ways of life. Volendam is a town in the Netherlands in North Holland, situated 12 miles north of Amsterdam. In the town you will find many Dutch clichés, such as the traditional dress and costumes and the wooden shoes. The traditional dress here, which is one of the best known examples of ancient clothing in the county, are still worn by some today in their daily lives. Many people travel to visit Volendam to see a traditional Dutch village.

This is the capital city of The Netherlands, with a population of about 1.5 million in the metro area. It is known for its rings of canals, the Red Light District, the Anne Frank House and its famous museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, etc.). Amsterdam has a rich history in commerce, mostly due to the country’s colonies all over the world, and this gives the city a fascinating flavor and diverse population even now. There are great restaurants and shopping, and it is a very comfortable place to walk around in. It is also a great starting point from which to explore The Netherlands and beyond.

The windmills served many uses, but the most important was pumping water back into the rivers so land could be farmed. Not every windmill looks the same and they all vary in architecture. Arnhem is a large city located in the eastern part of the Netherlands on the banks of the River Rhine. The city’s origin dates back to the 12th century. Today, Arnhem is known as the site of one of the most famous battles of World War II: the Battle of Arnhem which took place in September of 1944.

Kuekenhof (Tulips):

Marvel at the brilliant colors of the world’s most beautiful spring garden. Keukenhof is a large flower garden in Lisse, the Netherlands in the south of Holland. It is the world’s second largest flower garden at 79 acres in size. Keukenhof plants over 7 million flowers throughout the gardens each year. The gardens are open March through May for visitors to enjoy.

Dutch cuisine:

Enjoy a simple blend of local ingredients and traditional favorites. The Netherlands is filled with many dishes that are special to them. Some of these are: thick Dutch fries, stroopwafel, dutch herring, bitterballen and many more to try.

Canal culture:

Explore a different way of living as you cruise among the vital waterways of Amsterdam. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 2009, the Amsterdam Canal Belt welcomes 3 million passengers every year. The canals were originally dug for water control and military defense for the city and over the years grew to a new type of transport for people and goods. Cruising along at a leisurely pace, today's boats sail through famous landmark canals such as Gentlemen's Canal, Emperor's Canal and the Prince's Canal.

Hortus Botanicus:

Amsterdam's botanical gardens is a popular attraction for both Dutch and international visitors. The collection is famous for its trees and plants, some of which are on the "endangered" list. The gardens have been collecting species of flora ever since the 17th century and are important sources of exotic species for both commercial and medicinal uses. Recent additions to Hortus include a huge hothouse, which incorporates three different tropical climates.

Trip to Amsterdam for Four Days

• This was my first experience using travel agency for vacation and I couldn't be more satisfied. I highly recommend using Wise Yatra, they planned a wonderful trip that catered to all my personal needs. • First let's start with the location– Amsterdam is absolutely beautiful! My trip was only 4 days long but Wise Yatra made the most of it. They set up 3 tours within those days that gave the perfect opportunity to see a few of the key attractions within the Netherlands. One day was offered a walking tour through a popular local tour guide company. The guide was very knowledgeable of history and the downtown area, he was also very friendly. Another day offered the opportunity to see the Tulips, windmills and clogs through another local tour company. The company has coach bus accommodations to and from all attractions and meeting locations. The guide presented herself very professionally and also very knowledgeable of the history and attractions themselves. The last event offered through Wise Yatra was the canal cruise which offered an alternative perspective of the town via canal level. • Secondly, I could not ask for a better travel company to book through. Originally I booked this tour believing I would be joining a group. After realizing that was not the case, naturally I was apprehensive about moving forward with the trip. Associates at Wise Yatra reached out to me on a personal level to fine tune details… After expressing my concerns, the associates at Wise Yatra assured me they would be able to accommodate me as a solo traveler. My itinerary was made based on what I wanted, tours were upgraded from self guided to guided, my hotel was upgraded to a better location and I was able to stay in constant communication before, during and after my trip. They even made sure I made it home safe! Some upgrades came with a slight cost, some upgrades did not, however cost of upgrades were minimal and well worth it. The driver booked for airport transfer was local and very respectful. Also, all my questions about documents and information needed overseas were answered promptly and knowledgeable. All in all, Raj, Rachit, Nishchitha, and the rest of the team did a wonderful job. I look forward to using the Wise Yatra service again in the future.

We had a wonderful time on this enjoyable cruise in The Netherlands. The itinerary was perfect for our family. The ship's crew were all fantastic: efficient, friendly, welcoming and helpful. And even the weather cooperated. My only (minor) concern was that the information about where and when we could board the ship was not particularly clear, especially as we were traveling independently i.e. we were not met on arrival and escorted to the boat). Fortunately, the public transportation systems in Netherlands are so efficient that this was not a big problem.

King’s Day 2024

My King's Day experience with Yes-Trips in Amsterdam was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, the entire celebration was flawlessly organized, making it one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The atmosphere in Amsterdam on King's Day is electric, and Yes-Trips truly knows how to maximize the fun. Whether you opt for their full package with ESN associations, the budget-friendly campsite accommodation, or the exclusive cruise party, you're guaranteed to have a blast. I went for the full package and was blown away by the seamless transportation, comfortable accommodation, and expert guides who made sure we didn't miss a beat. The highlight for me was definitely the cruise party along Amsterdam's main canal. Dancing to great music while cruising past the city's iconic landmarks was an experience I'll never forget. Plus, the vibrant orange sea of people in the streets added to the festive atmosphere, making it a celebration unlike any other. Overall, I can't recommend Yes-Trips enough for anyone looking to experience King's Day in Amsterdam. Their attention to detail, friendly staff, and dedication to ensuring everyone has a fantastic time truly sets them apart. Holland & Belgium Tulip River Cruise (Amsterdam - Brussels - Amsterdam)

This was my first canal tour so was not really sure what to expect. I enjoyed the experience although I was not anticipating only 4 English as a first language speaking people on the tour.

What people love about Netherlands Tours

Tour director was great. Buffet dinners were not the greatest. Disappointing that porterage has been discontinued. Hotels are a bit out of the way and do not allow for any exploration once you reach the hotel in the evening.

The tour of Holland was wonderful. Our tour director was great. Our driver was great. The weather was not so good. I think the heavy mist and rain made me ill. It was impossible to find any cold medicine in our busy schedule. Fortunately I brought some headache medicine with me just in case I needed it. I did not want to miss any of the scheduled visits but I was anxious to get home to deal with the symptoms.

The flight was delayed for 2 hrs. Because they didn’t have a crew to fly. And it is not a first time for klm to do that. Last time they cancelled my filght and rebooked me 3 days later. Not reliable airline

We left one hour late because of technical difficulties. The economy comfort seats are great for the price. The crew was mediocre, they do not provide a pleasant experience, they just deliver food and drinks and give orders, not very amicable, no service and hospitality focus.

The food was ok. The crew seemed like they were cranky. I had one guy get mad at me for passing in between the storage area to get to the other toilet. I can understand if it's not allowed but reprimanding me like I'm a student saying "This is the last time!" was not appropriate. During my meal time, there was a French family around me. No problems there but when we usually have meals, they are supposed to put their chair in the upright position. These people did not do it and the steward did not tell them to raise their seat in the upright position. However, I was told to do so! So, me and another person next to me had to eat with the monitor almost touching our faces. Furthermore, a lady in front of me was putting her feet up and preventing another elder passenger from putting her seat back. To make it worse, she was continuously hitting her back into her seat, shaking my monitor while I was watching a movie. A crew member did speak to her about it but then she accused me of pushing her seat forward! The crew member gave me a death stare and told me to stop pushing the seat forward. I did not even touch her seat at all, if I did, she would know it. Her boyfriend also stood up and tried to push her seat even further past the maximum decline to no avail. None of these people were reprimanded but the steward, some bald guy, was extremely friendly with them and did not even try to instruct them to do anything until it was time to land. I resisted the urge to really argue with them because I would have obviously been seen as the aggressor (I have no idea why). I hardly said anything on this flight except "more wine please" and "sorry" if I bumped into someone accidentally. Overall, it was an annoying flight and I had to resist the urge to yell at the steward and the people he was overly friendly with. The happiest moment of this flight was leaving it.

It was nice to be on a legacy airline, people try at least.

Mostly fine. Minor delays departing and arriving. Quite a cramped plane, not so much as regards legroom but very narrow seats. Quiet nice food. Non-working USB charger. Flight attendants were helpful but not particularly proactive — one had to work to get their attention (but all was fine once they notice you), very Dutch style:)

The flight itself it was great nice food the crew were very nice and helpful, Checking in from Birmingham wasn't great long queues for bag dropped, And I had my hand luggage case taken away from me even though I requested to have it with me as I had breakables items. I was told I can not because of the length of the flight with no explanation at all no options was given for me to take my fragile items out of my case it was taken away with hold buggage I find the staff member who was checking me in very unpleasant !! Can we please be advise if the rules have changed about the the carry on hand luggage it will be easier to be advise on booking your tickect if we not allowed to take the hand luggage with me. Overall I had a good flight .

The plane was clean and the staff was friendly. Food and drinks as expected on international flights. The entertainment system was old style, with a pullout controller, and selections not as extensive as on other flights.

The food quality is poor. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The entertainment program was limited. I experienced a delay of 30 minutes due to two issues. Passenger luggage had to be removed and there was a technical issue with the stairs not detaching from the aircraft. The pilot managed to compensate and we arrived only 15 minutes later. The luggage at Dubai airport was very slow. I waited over an hour.

Amazing KLM service and brilliant economy comfort seats. Well worth the extra.

Swiss ground crew was again at its prime and although I’m United 1K (Star Alliance Gold) they created problems with my hand luggage - while other passengers were boarding with more handbags and larger hand luggages, were critical on my 2 young kids attending the lounge with me and boarding the plane with me on the priority lane.

Everything was on time and efficient - expected from a Swiss crew. But the entertainment system was pretty bad - the display was old. Food was pretty bad and a couple of times they started serving drinks and then just skipped past my row (and likely several others)

They went out of their way. It was very clean and friendly.

We were very impressed with Swiss Air. The service was exceptional. Unfortunately, we had a baby behind us that screamed for hours. , It was a nightmare, though I completely understand that it was not Swiss Airs fault.

Crew took my carry on and checked it in; turned out to be a blessing; however the luggage was delayed at my final destination; receiving it 36 hours later. Thought, we'd get, at least water; but the Swiss chocolate was delicious. Thanks.

Great flight- smooth, nice crew, nice clean aircraft, departed a little late but arrived 10 early.

Flight ok, but me and other two passengers didn’t have connection with the entertainment in our seats. So, no movies, no games, no music… for 9 hours. The crew just told us that there’s nothing they can do but I noticed during the flight that there were empty seats, so they could have offered to us to change seats. Customer service could be better.

Had a nice flight to London on BA will fly with them again in the future

Finnair cancelled my flight 12 hours prior to leaving for Helsinki. They stated there were mechanical problems. I had to scurry around to find a new flight that would meet my needs for arrival in Helsinki. Luckily I was able to find alternate transportation through Lufthansa/United.

I’m very disappointed, to fly into an airplane for 10 straight hours, and not having a TV even though when I put the ticket I was told that I will have entertainment for the TV. Very disappointed.

Security was a mess at the Helsinki Airport. But I was delighted by the connecting flight waiting for us for JFK.

Very rude hostess. She embarrassed me in front of others. I went to sit after taking off in a different sit in the same economic cabin. Was the area where doors are. She come to me very laud and said: go back to your sit those sit are more expensive.wow! No diplomacy. Flight was super full except 3 of those sit. The only person in that row later during the flight occupied all sit laying down!. Once more disappointed at American Airlines. Early flight they lost my luggages for 4 days. Never refund money for replacement for some of essential items purchased..when I booked the flight I thought was Finlandair. I

The flight was surprisingly good, especially given initial experience. BA app is horrible as is their customer service. Online check in was a horrendous experience and when I phoned their customer service number, the live agent with whom I spoke was rude and dismissive. She did helpfully inform me that their IT people were working on a known problem related to online checkin. However, once she delivered that information, she curtly ended the call before I could suggest that since BA was aware of this, it should be posted on the app and online. I grudgingly flew BA this time - have avoided them for years because of past similar serial bad experiences. While this flight was fine, I’ll return to avoiding them in the future given the hassle experienced and rude personnel.

Loved the check-in experience. Very friendly staff and not crowded. I did wind up with a middle-middle seat, which was quite uncomfortable. Always appreciate the very professional staff on TAL.

There was a Turkish Airlines employee sitting in front of us, we noticed from her conversations we witnessed with the cabin crew and the fact that she boarded business class. She was sat in 16A. Firstly she was talking loudly the majority of the flight with two other men, one of which was leaning over the seat in front of her. This was disturbing as they were talking loudly and we were not able to sleep. The 12 hour long flight turned into a nightmare, even the noise cancellation didn’t work for their chatter. Secondly she requested extra meals from the crew for her male friends. We believe the meals came from business class. They also took their e-cigarettes out and were caught the cabin crew, but no further action was taken. Sitting in economy and seeing this is extremely disheartening. Next time I will book Emirites, I don’t think their staff would be allowed to behave like this.

COmpared to my experience in the business class of other airlines the food variety and offerings were meager. They did not have any cookies or crackers for snacking! They were unable to offer some other items. This has never been my experience in other airlines.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent flight experience I had with your airline. This has been one of the worst travel experiences I have ever encountered, and I feel compelled to bring it to your attention. Firstly, I missed my flight due to what I perceive to be a lack of clear communication and coordination on the part of your staff. There was no remorse or apology from the airline's representatives, which further exacerbated the situation. As a result of missing my flight, I was subjected to a 24-hour delay at the airport, where I had to spend a significant amount of money to rent a hotel room and cover other incidental expenses. Additionally, since my baggage was already checked in from Tanzania to Turkey, I had to purchase essential items for the 24-hour period. What truly dismayed me, however, was the discourteous and unprofessional attitude of your staff. Their lack of empathy and understanding only added to the stress and inconvenience of the situation. I have been traveling abroad for over 20 years, and I can confidently say that this experience has been the worst I have ever encountered. As a result, I am compelled to reconsider ever using your airline again for future travel. I strongly urge you to address the issues I have raised and take immediate steps to rectify the situation. Additionally, I expect a formal apology and a refund for the expenses I incurred due to the airline's negligence.

Having traveled from Canada through Seattle -London-Edinburgh with only carry on ( to keep trip uncomplicated ) We had to check our hand luggage at the gate as flight was full This was really annoying since due to their late flight in from Seattle we’d missed our orginal flight to Edinburgh and had been put on a flight four hours later We had no checked luggage with no need to go to the baggage carousel Very annoying

perhaps eye contact with the cabin crew, instead of abruptness and an impatience to serve.

They canceled my flight , they put me on a different flight that was delayed and the connection was lost . They lost my luggage. And now I’m stuck with any of my belongings.

Not great, took my carry on case outbound as overhead was full . This cause me to miss my train connection since I had to go to baggage claim. Then on my return flight they tried to take it again and flight was delayed over an hour. I chose BA because the service is usually better that easy jet etc but these days I am not so sure.

My selected seat ending up being very uncomfortable both major flights. SFO to London and back. Seat arms did not go up so it was not like suggest by BA staff. On return flight my seat had a life raft barrier in front off me and large man beside me.

Awful flight. My pre-booked seat was given to a crew member and I was substituted with an awful seat next to the toilet. When I asked about it I was treated with contempt for daring to ask. Par for the course on BA at present.

The crew were competent and all seemed to enjoy their job and the only shiny part of the trip. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and the video machines very hard to work and had dated offerings. The air conditioning was like a refrigerator even with 4 blankets. The food was propbably the worst airline food I have had in years.

COVID-19 Travel Requirements

In view of the COVID-19 situation, travellers visiting Netherlands should be prepared for updates to entry requirements. Entry and Exit

Singaporeans can visit the Netherlands without a visa for up to 90 days within 180 days from date of initial entry within the Schengen region. Please ensure that your passport has at least six months’ validity beyond the planned date of departure.  As visa requirements often change at short notice, we advise you to contact your travel agency, or the nearest Embassy of Netherlands for up-to-date information.   

For departure, please check with the airport and your airline when you will need to arrive at the airport.  Remember to cater for more time for immigration checks and security screening especially during peak travelling season. Safety and Security

As of 14 December 2023, the Terrorist Threat Assessment level in the Netherlands is at Level 4 (substantial) (on a scale from one to five, with one being minimal and five being critical). As significant threats still exist, we advise Singaporeans travelling or living in the Netherlands to be vigilant, monitor local news and follow the instructions of local authorities. Announcements on major incidents are reported on the Netherlands' National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism website. We strongly advise Singaporeans to check the website and local media to stay alert to local incidents.

Demonstrations: Demonstrations in major European cities occasionally take place.  They tend to occur on politically significant holidays and during international summits. Should demonstrations take place, most are peaceful, but the situation can turn confrontational and escalate into violence quickly. Travellers are thus encouraged to avoid areas around protests and demonstrations. If you encounter a demonstration, exercise caution, leave the area as soon as possible, and check the local media for updates on the situation and traffic.

Petty crime: Petty crimes, such as robberies, purse snatchings, and pickpockets, are common especially in crowded areas and transport hubs.  The thieves’ modus operandi is to work in teams .  One person/group will distract the traveller by asking for directions/help or pushing them while the accomplices take the items.  Notably, at train stations, thieves have been known to distract travellers when the train is pulling to a stop while their accomplices take their belongings and alight just as doors close.

Theft from vehicles is also common.  Travellers are advised to drive with your windows up and doors locked, and do not leave valuables or items visible in the vehicles.  Travellers should also be careful at hotel lobbies, where some thieves lurk to steal items or pretend to assist, but leave with the luggage once the guests are distracted. 

Travellers must have some form of identification with them at all times and are subject to local laws. Singaporeans who are arrested or detained are advised to ask the police or prison officials to contact the Singapore Embassy to seek consular assistance.

Advisory: Email Scams

There have been reports of individuals receiving scam emails/messages purportedly sent from friends in distress overseas. These emails/messages typically originate from an email address/social media known to the receiver bearing claims of the sender getting into trouble overseas and urgently requesting financial assistance. The sender would also claim to have approached a Singapore Embassy/Consulate and the local Police for help to no avail.

MFA takes the safety of all Singaporeans very seriously.  Singaporeans in distress approaching our Overseas Missions for assistance will be rendered with all necessary consular assistance.  If you receive such emails/messages from purported friends seeking funds transfers, we strongly advise you to call them first to verify the authenticity of the emails/messages before responding to their request.  It is also not advisable to give out any personal information such as NRIC/passport numbers, address, telephone number, etc.  Any form of reply, even one of non-interest, could result in more unsolicited emails.  Members of the public who suspect that they have fallen prey to such scams should report the matter to the Police immediately.  Should Singaporeans abroad require consular assistance, they can contact the nearest Singapore Overseas  Mission  or call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 24-hr Duty Office at +65 6379 8800/+65 6379 8855.

North Vietnam

I would like to compliment Amanda Chen for her good services rendered to our tour group during the North Vietnam trip 7-12/12/22. She is very meticulous and responsible from pre- to post-trip, examples: 1) created Whatsapp group to communicate with the group 2) printed our vaccination certs, luggage tag with our names 3) special arrangements for 16 of us which booked together as friends, eg seating 4) ensure all passengers have no issues with their baggage post-trip before leaving the airport. During the trip, she took very good care of us, serving us with great patience and her heart. These include: 1) 3 of us from the tour group (including me) left our personal belongings at the hotels on different days. She was very nice to immediately call the hotel's housekeeping & always arranged to pick them up for us. I was extremely grateful to her for going the extra mile to arrange for her colleague from the next tour group to help me collect from the hotel's housekeeping as it was out of the way for our group to return to the hotel. Although the mittens were considered small value items, they were precious to me because they were Little Men/Miss limited edition by Bossini, which are no longer available for purchase. She followed through with me for more than 1 week after our trip to keep me updated & also ensure that I have collected the mittens from CTC office in Singapore yesterday. Her service level is really delightful & exemplary! 2) I was sick during the trip and she would visit me to check-in if I was alright or need anything else. 3) When we feedback about anything missing from the room, she would immediately help us contact/request from the hotel, cruise or restaurant. 4) She tried her best to meet the special needs of elderly in the group and the group's adhoc requests. For example, the Hanoi Chalcedony Hotel's double beds were very tiny and uncomfortable, so many of them requested to change to single beds. During one of the nights, she had to give up her own room for an unhappy customer. Thank you for assigning Amanda to our group and I wish her continued success in hospitality/customer service.

My name is Marcus Leo.  Me and my family (consisting of my Dad, mum & my uncle) very recently went on a 5 day 4 night CTC tour of Vietnam. Our flight back to Singapore was yesterday 03/04/2023.  Our CTC travel tour guide was Mr Wen Jun.  I would like to give a very special mention to Mr Wen Jun and say that he has been extremely friendly, helpful and professional from the very start up to the very end of the arrival process back to Changi airport.  Throughout the entire tour, he has maintained a very high standard of professionalism throughout while still being friendly, funny, respectful and courteous to everyone.  Additionally, I must say this. My family understood that this tour was a purely Mandarin speaking tour. Having lived in Australia for more 20 years, me and my family are primarily English speaking with little comprehension of Mandarin. Throughout the whole tour, Mr Wen Jun went above and beyond his scope of duty to explain and translate things to us in English as we went along with the tour. He had no obligations to do this, but he went out of his way to do this for me and my family, and for that, we are very grateful to him and it made the difference between a good tour and a GREAT tour for us.  Me and my family have travelled around the world with many tour guides in the past, but very little to none of them were as professional and flexible as Mr Wen Jun.  The purpose of this e-mail is to give positive feedback for Mr Wen Jun. In conclusion, I am a very firm believer of giving credit when credit is due. I would like to say that Mr Wen Jun is indeed an asset to the CTC Travel Group. Hanoi Sapa Tour

I am writing here to compliments our Tour guide Mr Eric Yong. He have showered great care through out the whole of seven days. A great tour guide, he ensure all seniors are well taken care of and also most importantly all their well being. A wonderful guide who's strongly recommended and acknowledged for his professional and love with care during the tour.  I was down with food poisoning in the middle of the night. Vomited badly,  I called him, without any delay and hesitation, he came to our room with a boiling kettle from his room. To boiled water and given me the medication I needed. And the next morning, he sent me to the clinic and stays with me throughout the review by doctors. And also accompanying me back to hotel, reminded the front desk to deliver porridge to my room for my lunch and dinner.  My sincere heartfelt thanks to his kindness to ensure all our well being is well taken care of during the tour. I will sure looking forwards to join more tours to be guided by him. 

My name is Wendy. I travelled with my husband and my son to Finland, Norway and Estonia with CTC from 11 Dec to 19 Dec. I would like to write this Compliment Letter for your Product & Sales Manager Mr Jimmy Pua for his proactive and responsible attitude during the pre-sales consultation, his timely replies to help me conduct pre-trip preparation and his warm assistance to bring my son's lost winter jacket from Finland to Singapore. I met Jimmy at your Travel Revolution Fair booth in July 2022 at MBS. I was planning to let my son travel to a place to experience snow and cold weather. I visited some other travel agencies first and checked with them for Finland and Hokkaido packages. After I shared my concern that my son is a child with Autism so it may cause some inconvenience for other group members, the other sales persons did not give me enough useful feedback and ended up only encouraging me to pay the deposit as early as possible. I did not feel very confident so I just told myself that maybe I need to visit one more agency to get a second opinion. So I walked to CTC booth to talk to a lady about the Hokkaido package first. After understanding that Japan was not fully opened yet, I decided to only consider the Finland package. After I told Jimmy the same concern, he shared with me some past experiences he and his colleagues used to handle special needs kids in their groups. He told me it’s quite challenging but things still could work out finally. He also suggested there can be some special arrangements such as we can sit at the last row on the bus, have dinner at a corner table, and stay in a corner quiet room with a reasonable distance to the rest. He even went to talk to his manager to double confirm which gave me more confidence and reassurance. So at that moment I decided to take this winter adventure with CTC. Later on I paid the deposit and then Jimmy added me on WhatsApp. He told me I could message him for any other questions before the trip. My husband is holding a China passport so he needs to get his Schengen Visa done. Jimmy answered all my tedious questions and prepared all the required documents regarding the visa application and even sent me the direction guide to the Visa Centre. For something he is not sure about, he also helped me to call the Visa Centre or the embassy to find out the answers. When there was one month ahead of the departure date Jimmy linked me up with our tour guide Edward and told me he shared our background with Edward so I can follow up with him to settle the arrangement details. Our trip went quite smoothly generally. I can see my son really enjoyed snow activities and learned several new skills. Really appreciate that other group members were being very friendly and supportive. The only regret is that due to the continuous snow and cloudy weather we were not able to see Aurora through our eyes. After reaching Singapore we realized my son lost his Uniqlo winter jacket at Holiday Club Hotel at Lapland. I remembered it should have been lost at either the playground above the canteen or our room. I contacted the hotel by email and they replied they found the jacket but did not know how to return to us. Then I messaged Jimmy who happened to travel nearby that area to let him know the situation. He replied to me later that he should be able to drop by the hotel so he can help me collect and bring it to Singapore. The winter jacket is not so valuable but it carries the unforgettable memory for my son to see and play with snow for the first time. I really appreciate Jimmy’s assistance to help me bring it back from thousands of miles away. It was a Christmas Miracle for me. Overall I also need to thank CTC for arranging a wonderful trip for our family. This trip also marked an important milestone for my son to be able to manage himself and solve problems in a new environment. During the trip I also feel grateful that more and more people become aware about Autism and the more inclusive international society can support our special needs community to experience the same travelling joys during holiday seasons.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation and admiration for the exceptional service provide by Anson Tong and China Local tour guide Ms Su Cheng, during the 8D Yunnan Shangri-la tour that I recently participated in. Anson went above and beyond in ensuring that our tour experience was nothing short of extraordinary, and I believe it is important to acknowledge his outstanding efforts. From the moment I joined the tour, it was evident that Anson displayed exceptional organizational skills throughout the tour. He and the local tour guide Ms Su meticulously planned each day's itinerary, ensuring that we had ample time to explore key landmarks and attractions, while also allowing for moments of relaxation and personal discovery. Their attention to detail and seamless coordination made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable for all of us. Furthermore, Anson exhibited remarkable interpersonal skills, caring for elderly and fostering a warm and inclusive environment within our tour group. He is friendly, approachable and had a remarkable ability to cater to the diverse needs and interest of the group, ensuring that everyone felt valued and included. In addition, he is a good photographer who shared the beautiful photos each days in the chat group. Sending this email to appreciate our tour guide Don who did a wonder job during our Spain trip. He was tentative to our needs and always looking out to ensure that we are safe and well taken care of, especially in Europe which is theft prone. With his past experience he knew where to bring us for best photo shoots, food, best view of sceneries, catching sunset during winter which could be challenging as days are shorter. He recommended food at the different cities knowing our cravings for Asians food after a while. Bringing sauces for almost every meal that he anticipated we would need! And importantly always ahead/on-time to ensure that we experience minimum queues/crowds. Amazing guide and hope to travel with him/CTC again soon. The daily videos he made really are good summaries/memories which made this trip unforgettable, never missing out a family photo.   Not to forget Joanne too who recommended this tour during the NATA fare when I told her that I am looking for a place in Europe not so cold in Dec, good recommendation!

As my holiday draws to a close, I feel compelled to offer a sincere compliment to our tour leader, Kenneth, who has been an absolute gem throughout this trip. Kenneth has been exceptionally accommodating, courteous, and caring towards all of us, providing extra care to each and every one of us, especially considering the number of elderly members in our tour group. He was also highly flexible and reassuring, never failing to be extremely clear with his instructions and reminders. One instance that particularly moved me and touched all our hearts was witnessing him exert so much strength and effort to carry one of our injured elderly tour mates who had sprained her ankle. His attentive care for her truly earned admiration from everyone in the tour group. It's very obvious to all of us that Kenneth is genuinely empathetic and kind-hearted, evident in the way he looks after and assists all of us. I believe he truly deserves commendation and praise for his character and excellent service. He really made us feel like we gained a lovely God son on this trip! Additionally, Kenneth was very generous in treating us to delicious Korean treats, and even waited so patiently at Nami Island to acquire as many steam buns as he could for as many people in the group as possible, despite them being constantly sold out and made in such low volume. That allowed us to explore the island in the meantime and have a taste of the special bun afterwards. His cheerful demeanour and positivity really brightened each day of the trip. Dear sir, I would like to share my feedback on the Yangtze travel cruise on 30 November to 12 December. Firstly I would like to commend on the professionalism of all the tour leaders and the help rendered and support at each stage. I was in group A and the tour leader, John, showed that he has done his research on the different tour sites and locations, is familiar with the Chinese culture and is able to recommend the do and don’t and what precautions should be taken. I went there with an unfortunate leg injury that occured before the trip. The tour leaders there understood the limitations I had and sought to make the tour as accessible as possible for me eg helping with luggage and steps. Where the area might be too hazardous for me they recommended either I stay near the entrance when tired or stay on board the ship. The thought and concern for my wellbeing is clear from the leaders. Sincere thanks also to Yulce for helping with the arrangements and Xiaoxia (Liya) the chongqing local guide who assisted us greatly at chongqing and helped us liaise with the hotel over our delivery to the hotel arranged by my friend.

We would like to compliment one of the tour leader from SA tour - Rachel - the tour leader for the Europe Trip. Rachel has been very professional and helpful and knowledgeable and her flexibility to adjust the itinerary has reduce a lot of waiting and travelling time for us. The itinerary was well paced with nature and city scene. There is never a perfect itinerary that suits all of us but I personally feel that a tour leader plays a important part in ensuring we had a enjoyable trip and we are indeed blessed to have Rachel and the group we travelling with to make our trip a very enjoyable one. Personally it was since 10 years plus that I join a group tour. There was some unpleasant experience I had with one of the SA colleague which commented that I was being unfair to him in a email that was sent to my friend. It does started me with a bad note and I start to wonder whether did I make the right choice? However it turns out to be a pleasant trip and the credit goes to Rachel. Nowadays it is difficult to find loyal and staff who work with passion and SA is blessed to have Rachel as their staff. I am in service line and I know it is not easy as there is ups and downs. I would like to thank Miss Winnie Woo for her help in planning a wedding proposal on our Dream Cruise holiday from 11-16 Feb 2018. We were planning to go on Royal Caribbean initially, however decided on Dream Cruise after Winnie’s strong recommendation. She explained to us how Dream Cruise will be more suitable for our lifestyle - such a Penfolds bar, Johnnie Walker bar and also the high restaurant standards. This shows that she is very observant and patient to understand our needs. As she knows that my friend was going to proposed on Valentine's Day, she suggested we book the dinner with Mark Best. And on 11 Feb, she even called to reconfirm the arrangement for us again. Luckily, she did that as the restaurant did not remember when I went to check earlier in the day. I’m very impressed with her! On 14 Feb, the four of us were even more surprised when we walked into our friend’s room with decoration! She went the extra mile to her Dream Cruise to do it for my friend. And the proposal was very impressive and successful! I must say that this makes me want to book more holidays with SA tour as I know the consultant is so considerate and dedicated to take care of us. Once again, a big thank you to Ms Winnie Woo!

His cheerful, enthusiastic and thoughtful nature kept us in a happy mood so much that we bonded a strong friendship. Together with Mr. Jin our China tour guide, they shared general knowledge of places, tips on where, what to do and eat. From their sharing, I myself as an avid photographer, discovered a lot of nice interesting sceneries. Mr. Lee is definitely the best tour guide I have met so far and I am looking forward to explore China by joining his tour group again. Also, not forgetting the courteous friendly Mr. Kenneth Tan, who did our booking. Despite near closing time, he took the time to explain and answer our queries well. The trip to China was splendid. Hi, My parents and I have joined SA Tour's 14D European Treasure Trove (EETT14) from 3-16 Dec 2022. We are very grateful to Cyril for all the assistance that he rendered to my family and me throughout the trip. My parents are elderly (age 67 and 72) and compared to other tour members, needed more time to walk and help with luggage. At Jungfraujoch, I was impressed that Cyril prepared sweets and ginger to help all tour members gain the energy to adjust to the high-altitude effect as well as reminded us regularly to walk slowly and be careful of the slippery surfaces. Cyril's care and concern for the safety and comfort each member has been prevalent throughout the tour. At each hotel, Cyril has done his best to accommodate needs of the families travelling together (swapping rooms where necessary) and helped everyone with our heavy luggage such that any inconveniences were kept to the minimum. My family has been travelling to Europe for several years before Covid so we are familiar with the long distances expected in the itinerary and are cognisant that we will only be staying for a short time in each city. This is my third visit to Italy and my mother's second visit; visiting Sistine Chapel at Vatican City during each trip. Through our description of Sistine Chapel, my father (a devout Christian) was looking forward to visiting it at the Vatican City during this trip to Italy (his first visit). We realised that the visit to Vatican City did not include Sistine Chapel while we were waiting to enter the St Peter's Basilica. My father was distraught and kept saying that he really wanted to visit the Sistine Chapel once in his lifetime and at his age, he may have a chance to return to Italy again. Cyril heard my father saying this and explored with the local tour guide on how we can fulfil my father's wish to visit Sistine Chapel though my mother and I were explaining to my father that we should just continue with the tour itinerary in order not to inconvenience the other tour members. As we are in Rome on 14 and 15 Dec (15 Dec was a free day), it may be possible for my family to return to Vatican City to visit Sistine Chapel on our own on 15 Dec before meeting the tour group at the airport. After discussion with Cyril and the local tour guide, we decided that the best approach would be to skip the next leg of the walking tour in Rome (14 Dec) to Colosseum and go to Sistine Chapel (next to St Peter's Basilica) while we are still in Vatican City. We will catch up with the tour group at Trevi Fountain. As the local guide is with our tour group throughout the walking tour and will take care of the safety of 17 members, Cyril quickly brought the 3 of us to the entrance of Musei Vaticani to get tickets before he ran back in the rain to catch up with the tour group at the Colosseum. We went for a short route to Sistine Chapel and took a taxi to Trevi Fountain to meet the group within 2 hours to continue our walking tour to Spanish Steps. Cyril could have left the 3 of us to locate the entrance of Musei Vaticani on our own (which I offered) and stayed with the 17 members of the tour group and the local guide on the walking tour. Cyril went with us because it was raining the entire day and he was concerned about whether we can locate the entrance in time, particularly with my elderly parents. At the same time, the local guide was with 17 members of the tour group ensuring their safety while Cyril quickly caught up with them; drenched in the process. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to Cyril and the other members of the tour group to fulfil my father's wish. Weighing the options, this approach caused the least inconvenience to the rest of the tour members. It meant a lot to my family that Cyril made the extra effort to fulfil my father's wish to visit Sistine Chapel in his lifetime. My family and I have joined many packaged tours over the past 14 years. We know what a tour leader would typically do in a packaged tour. From this trip after Covid, we also saw that many things changed in Europe. Cyril has struck us as a tour leader who went above and beyond the typical role of the tour leader and went through hardship (carrying heavy luggage up flights of stairs at hotels) to ensure the safety and comfort of tour members. My parents and I would like to express our deepest appreciation for Cyril's assistance during our tour to Europe from 3 to 16 Dec 2022. We seek SA Tours' assistance to convey our appreciation to Cyril and recognise his good performance during the tour. Thank you.

Dear Sir/ Mdm, Hope this email serves you fine and well. I am a customer of yours for the European 14D European Treasure Trove from 3 Dec 2022 to 16 Dec 2022. I will like to take this opportunity to thank my tour manager Mr Cyril Sheng for the great experience that he has given me and my wife for the honeymoon holiday. Firstly, Mr Cyril Sheng has been very accommodating and very detailed in his daily itinerary planning for the whole trip. There were many requests put up during the trip by many passengers on an adhoc basis. Without any hesitation, he has been in the forefront to take care of all our needs and wants within the time limit. He has paid detailed attention to an elderly couple who wanted to pay their respects in the 16th Chapel whilst he ensured that we are safe in the hands of the local guide. He went the extra mile to reach our next destination on foot after bringing the couple which is admirable. Mr Cyril has also showed the care and concern for all his passengers. Since my wife and I are on a special diet of vegetarian and having fish and eggs, he ensured that we are served the right food at all times. This is an admirable character of his. What touched me was he came over to all his passengers including us to ensure the right food is served. When some of the fellow passengers changed their dietary requirements, he went the extra mile to change without any complaints. This is the star quality that we see in him. In addition, when my wife needed to go to the toilet as she was not feeling well, without much hesitation or complaints, he directed the bus captain to detour to show care and concern. He also checked in twice on the same day to see if she was fine and checked in again the next day. This is something that I have not seen in other tour manager in other agencies. In Switzerland, whilst other tour managers in other groups only brought their passengers up, Mr Cyril has gone the extra mile to buy sweets for passengers to have sugar and go up the mountain. This was on his own accord. He ensured all passenger young and old were fine throughout the journey. When an elderly passenger was not well,he rushed to help her and assisted the family. He also spent his own money to get doughnuts for his passengers. I am also amazed that Mr Cyril Sheng went the additional mile to carry all the luggage for his passengers. He smiled and helped all of us. This is really admirable in him. I hope you would take this opportunity to praise him for his hard work and effort. The thing about going on a trip and especially on a tour is to be accommodating with each other and not put in tough and unreasonable requests to tour guide. To the Management of SA Tours, I have just returned from the Hokkaido Package 8 days tour from 11 to 19th of May on the Scoot Flight Package.I would like to mention something today that is on every leisure traveller’s dream to have a pleasant and memorable trip just outside my usual business travels. When we landed in Sapporo , we were greeted with a 60 ?year old tour guide ( Tao yu , BEI ZI ) and my first impression was what can this lady do for the 8 days continuous journey that we are going to embark on while most of the time, I would expect a 30 to 40 years plus tour guide are the usual ones with the appropriate energy to carry us all the way throughout the comprehensive journeys . I saw even at the first meeting she was pretty tired , stunned and wear out. I was literally not expecting any potential exciting tours ahead. After the 8 days , I was totally wronged and what I witnessed was that Bei Zi has brought us the tour group to an exhilarating , entertaining , knowledge riched journey and most importantly with great sense of humour that bombarded us till we are totally impressed with her experience and skills of a well rounded tour guide. Her style of organising the tour schedule was kept detailed and meticulously carried out the proposed events with utmost responsibility to ensure everyone is safe and understood the message she tried to deliver. Never had I and my wife came across such dedicated and professional attitude that she carried with her to ensure that the tour group members broke ice on friendship quickly and allow us to find common ground together through her lively humour and simplistic philological understanding about how we should appreciate our life both by leading simple, happy and a meaningful life. It’s really a 5 stars quality. I would like to also comment on the professionalism displayed by Rachel ( SA ) who has to juggle between 2 travel groups while keeping pace with the tight schedule moving from one hotel to another and it is no joke considering we are changing hotels every day. She brought snacks to ensure that we are in good mood and continue to keep us well informed on the day’s schedule. Her bilingualist ability was able to put into good use. She is very kind, gentle and understanding. Last but not least, another commendable person we would like to thank is Hirasawa San, the perfect and meticulously dressed driver who makes our journey seamlessly safe and given strategically challenging driven coach routes that only experience and passionate driver can execute. The coach is too clean that we felt guilty eating some snacks inside the coach. Many thanks to SA tours, and very lucky to have such great people like BEI ZI , Rachel and Hirasawa San, who I hope will continue to upkeep great standards of tour guided packages offered. Once again, thanks to wonderful people like BEI ZI that makes my holiday so worthwhile not just on beautiful sceneries alone but we certainly make great pleasant friends along this nice and memorable journey. I wish everyone best days ahead , till we meet again.
