Clever Design

Safari’s Air Ram system is a pivotal and functional attribute of the snorkel; CAD and lab tested, the Air Ram is designed to simultaneously remove the maximum volume of water from the incoming air stream, while delivering the maximum airflow to your vehicle’s engine. 

Durable Materials

Safari snorkels utilise a UV stable polyethylene body which ensures a strong and robust fitting to the outside of your 4×4, complemented by high-grade stainless steel and plated hardware for corrosion resistance on all internal and external fittings and fixtures. All Safari connection ducting is custom designed and tooled and is manufactured from EPDM moulded rubber, rated to a continual 130°C operating temperature. There is nothing better!

Nothing fits like Safari. As a result of the intricate design process, working with a combination of CAD modelling and actual vehicles, Safari snorkels are manufactured to integrate seamlessly. Why a Samurai Snorkel?

Cause you never know how deep that creek is…. and once you are in, it is too late. Taking in water through the air intake can hydraulic an engine which leads to bent and thrown rods. We know this as we had our engine blow up on the way back from Rubicon once after taking an unexpected deep drop.

It also came in handy during the 97′ Top Truck Challenge hosted by Four Wheeler magazine. We found ourselves in a swamp 4′ deep. The snorkel saved the day and our engine. Not to mention…. the judging staff thought the snorkel just plain looked awesome!

On top of that, many people experience power gains as the snorkel pipes in cool exterior air for your engine to breathe and also produce a ram air effect…. similar to what a supercharger does for an engine. Better mileage, more power.

This ain’t no cheap backyard snorkel that sucks in rain and snaps on every tree branch. Our Samurai snorkels are made from UV stable Polyethylene. They are super strong….. many a low hanging branch lost its battle with our tough snorkel on trail. They look great and really help spice up the look of your vehicle. Want to see heads turn as you drive by? Try running a snorkel! Safari snorkels are also designed to channel the heaviest rain out of the breather arm before it gets to your air filter.

If you like to splash in water every weekend, or only once a year, this is the ultimate hydrolock protection for your Samurai’s engine.?We run snorkels on our rigs, we believe in them, they’ve saved our engines a number of times. This is good getcha-home engine insurance.

Samurai Snorkel or Cheap Copy?

Safari took the decision to design a snorkel system that exceeded the air flow requirements of the gutsy 1.6L engine and the snorkel kits work great with 1.6, Diesel, Vortec, Toyota, or any other upgraded engine you may have installed. Indeed the genuine Safari Snorkel system is designed to breathe freely in order to deliver the greatest air flow performance possible for even highly modified engines and with the best protection on the planet.

This of course applies to components that are not visible. For example a tough straight-shot duct is an integral part of the Safari snorkel body and in conjunction with the smooth bore, tough wall inlet hose, forms a high flow positive connection to the standard air cleaner assembly. The result is maximum engine performance and the best possible fuel economy within the tight confines of the inner guard and engine bay.

Huge air flow is but one aspect of the ultimate in snorkel design. The Safari air ram is designed to perform two very important roles. The most obvious is to funnel cool clean air into the snorkel body – but just as importantly, the Safari air ram acts as a highly efficient water separator to remove rain water from the incoming air stream – thus ensuring safe engine operation through even the most torrential tropical storms.

In addition, the detachable Safari air ram can be rotated to any position. This means great peace of mind for those who plan to travel in cold or high altitude conditions where heavy snow falls are anticipated. By rotating the air ram to face away from the prevailing wind/direction of motion, the air ram delivers additional protection from the choking effects of snow build-up inside the air intake. The Safari Snorkel body and air ram are manufactured to the highest standards in durable, UV stable, cross linked polyethylene material. In addition, the substantial material wall thickness delivers huge physical strength to ensure that the snorkel breezes through the toughest off-road conditions on the planet.

Improve the performance and reliability of your Suzuki Jimny with an Ironman 4×4 Airforce Snorkel, benefiting the vehicle with a raised intake height for cleaner air and safer water crossings.

By using computational fluid dynamics simulations and real-world testing, Ironman 4×4 engineers designed the snorkel not only to complement the shape of the vehicle but also to ensure airways are unobstructed allowing a constant flow of air.

The unique Ironman 4×4 angled ram-air head design deflects rain for superior airflow and water dispersion.

Constructed from UV-stabilised polyethylene plastic, the snorkel is made with longevity in mind, withstanding the harsh Australian sun.

Overall, the new Airforce Snorkel will take the Suzuki Jimny to the next extreme.

Refund Policy

Order Cancellations & Refunds

An order cancellation and/or refund charge will apply for orders which are cancelled or refunded after payment has been made for the order.  This covers administration, inbound shipping & warehousing costs, along with bank charges and fees associated with third party payment gateway providers such as Shopify Visa, Shopify Mastercard, Shopify Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Afterpay, Zip & Latitude who do not refund transactions fee's for refunded or cancelled orders.  In a recent policy change Shopify now charge the Merchant an additional 1% fee of the total order value in U.S.D. for all payments processed by a third party payment gateway which are also not refundable.  

The cancellation charge is 10% of the total order including shipping charges. To avoid the cancellation charge a store credit can be applied for alternate products equal to the order value.  Please note there is no expiry date applied to store credits. 

Trade orders, international orders, sale & discounted items, pre-sale & made-to-order products cannot be cancelled and are not eligible for refund.  A store credit can be applied for alternate products equal to the order value.  Please note there is no expiry date applied to store credits. 

Returns & Exchanges (if applicable)

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you an exchange or credit. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Beyond 30 days we only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of the replacement or store credit. 

If you are approved, then you, and a credit will automatically be applied to your account that carries no expiry date.   Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, please periodically check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at [email protected]. Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. We recommend you consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Warranty Information

All products purchased from OZ Jimny are covered by the Product Manufacturers Warranty, and are governed by their individual warranty claim Terms and Conditions.  OZ Jimny strongly recommends all products are fitted by a Qualified, Insured & Highly Experienced 4x4 Workshop. 

Warranty periods will begin from the time the product has shipped to the customer.

The claim information will be sent to the Manufacturer for assessment within 3 business days.  If further information is required from the Manufacturer, OZ Jimny will make this request via email.

The Manufacturers Product Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective or faulty parts and does not include any costs incurred in labour for the removal or re-fitment of parts or damage incurred as a result of the product’s fitment.

A snorkel is an important addition to your 4WD, especially when driving off-road, in rural areas or through water. A raised air intake provides your Jimny with cooler and cleaner air, and safeguards against engine damage. Designed for optimum performance, Torqit’s 3.5” Jimny Snorkel also maximises airflow to improve your engines efficiency and provide potential fuel savings.

Mandrel bent from 304 grade stainless steel, the one-piece construction eliminates all joins to keep the Jimny snorkel streamlined and watertight. Rear facing and angled slightly down, Torqit’s snorkel is designed to avoid rain, insects and water from entering the snorkel’s mouth.

Made in Australia, this Suzuki Jimny snorkel is built to withstand rigorous off-roading and the harsh extremes of the Australian climate. Preventing dust and water intake* with a fully sealed snorkel gives you the ultimate peace of mind that your vehicle is protected and working at optimum capacity.

Stainless Steel Brushed to a 320-grit finish at Torqit’s head office, our stainless steel option adds a point of difference to your Jimny build.

JIMNY SNORKEL FEATURES

304 Grade Stainless Steel As premium quality steel, 304 grade stainless is renowned for its high strength, resistance to corrosion and easy maintenance. A snorkel is constantly exposed to the elements, yet the properties of 304 grade steel mean it can withstand rust and the harshest of Australian conditions.

Thick Stainless Steel To handle extreme off-roading and rough terrain, Torqit uses steel up to 2mm thick. The thickness maintains the structural integrity of the pipe even after bending, and means you can go off-road with peace of mind knowing your snorkel will not crack and dent.

Mandrel Bent Pipe Torqit’s Mandrel Bender uses a flexible rod to support the pipe internally and prevent crinkling as it is bent. This one-piece construction eliminates all joins to keep the snorkel rigid, and produces a constant wide diameter with minimal bends for unrestricted airflow. Rubber Pinch Weld and Anti-Rust Paint To protect the guard panel from rusting, Torqit’s snorkel comes complete with clear OEM-certified paint for applying to the guard cut. A rubber pinch weld provides a final sealed finish, and also helps prevent corrosion and water leakage.

JIMNY SNORKEL INSTALLATION

Torqit’s Jimny Snorkel bolts directly to the side of the guard for a streamlined profile, and comes complete with a full fitting kit and thick card fitting template.

We recommend allowing one hour for fitment, and an additional 30 minutes if fitted alongside our stainless steel Jimny airbox. For more information, click the instructions tab above. Alternatively, install at your closest Torqit dealer.

*Know your wading depth! While Torqit’s snorkel is designed to be watertight, the addition of a snorkel alone does not prevent water from entering/damaging your vehicle in other areas. Please check your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended wading depth before undertaking water crossings.

**This snorkel accommodates a 1530 mm x 1480 mm roof rack. Please contact our head office to discuss any other after market accessories and arrange a solution for your vehicle.

Torqit’s Jimny Snorkel comes with a full fitting kit and thick card template, which is molded to the shape of the panel for maximum accuracy.

Also included in the fitting kit is clear, OEM-certified paint for applying to the guard cut. This prevents rust forming beneath the pinch weld and keeps the panel in optimum condition. A rubber pinch weld provides a final layer of sealing and protection.

We recommend pairing the Jimny snorkel with Torqit’s stainless steel airbox for maximum flow; however it can also fitted alongside the standard airbox. If you select the standard airbox option on purchase, we will supply the necessary connectors.
