Oliver Anthony Will Leave the Field for His ‘Out of the Woods’ 2024 Tour

Oliver Anthony is coming out of the woods. The viral songwriter who got his start in a field railing against big government and snack cakes bought with tax dollars has announced his first official tour, dubbed the Out of the Woods Tour (no, it’s not a Taylor Swift allusion ). The “Rich Men North of Richmond” singer will begin in the U.K. in February before touching down in the U.S. for two nights at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

Other stops include the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida; the Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida; the Brandon Amphitheater in Brandon, Mississippi; and Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas. The trek hits a bunch of fairs and festivals, too, before currently wrapping up in Allegan, Michigan, at the Allegan County Fair.

Anthony announced the tour with a humorous video on Instagram, in which he shows up late for work, is asked to sign a box of Fudge Rounds, and then awakens from a dream in his camper.

Oliver Anthony Announces Massive 2024 World Tour — See All 41 Dates

Oliver Anthony will begin and end his 2024 tour in the most unlikely of places. The "Rich Men North of Richmond" singer just announced more than 40 concerts as part of his Out of the Woods World Tour.

• Prior to this announcement, Anthony's tour stops had been announced individually (if at all).
• Venues listed below have a capacity that ranges from just a few thousand people to more than 10,000.
• The singer says he will release a new album in 2024, as well.

A pair of videos on Instagram hinted that this tour will begin in Europe. On Feb. 1, he'll play Stockholm, Sweden, and follow that with seven more shows across the United Kingdom.

His U.S. run will begin with back-to-back shows at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Feb. 21-22.

The remainder of his Out of the Woods Tour focuses on cities in the southeast and heartland, with nothing further west than Texas and very few dates along the east coast.

Blue-collar towns like Ocala, Fla. and Allegan, Mich. are common on his list of dates. In fact, two Michigan shows bookend a jog to Alaska in September. After that, Anthony will rest (for now).

On sale dates for each show vary, but all info can be found at the singer's official website .

Controversial Americana troubadour Oliver Anthony announced that he’ll be hitting the road in 2024, bringing his aptly named Out of the Woods Tour to Northern Europe before swinging back stateside for a solid run of Heartland dates.

The blue-collar belter of  “Rich Men North of Richmond” fame took to Instagram Tuesday with a humorous video lampooning his overnight success and announcing the upcoming run.

No word of opening acts yet, but we can certainly expect the unexpected from the breakout star, who has yet to embark on a major tour to date despite already having a major reputation to live up to.

Presale tickets will be available at Ticketmaster starting 11/16 at 10 AM local time. General onsale tickets will also be available via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Anthony minted droves of diehard fans overnight with his viral video performance of his song “Rich Men North of Richmond,” a working-class anthem with a complicated political message that served to catalyze a loyal following of country music fans.

The Out of the Woods Tour’s US dates mostly serve off-the-beaten-track outposts, true to Anthony’s blue-collar image and sure to please rural fans who don’t get many visitors their way. Tickets are likely to go quickly for the viral star’s first major outing – get yours before it’s too late.

Oliver Anthony unveils ‘Out of The Woods’ 2024 international tour dates

Oliver Anthony, the trailblazing artist who made music history this year by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard charts without any previous chart presence, is set to embark on his first headline international tour in February 2024. The tour, aptly named ‘Out of The Woods,’ signifies Anthony’s universal appeal, attracting fans from all walks of life.

Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase starting at 10 am on Friday, November 17. A significant milestone in Anthony’s breakthrough year, he is nominated for two awards at the Billboard Music Awards, including Top Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song.

Anthony’s rise to fame began with the release of ‘Rich Men North of Richmond,’ hailed as the nation’s “blue-collar anthem.” The song resonates powerfully with audiences worldwide and has garnered over 200 million streams across various platforms, including YouTube. Additional successes include five songs landing in iTunes’ Top 10, with ‘I’ve Got to Get Sober’ reaching No. 3 and ‘Ain’t Got a Dollar’ claiming the No. 2 spot. The latter also secured the No. 1 position on Spotify’s Viral 50 list.

Known as a musical poet of the people, Anthony’s distinctive and emotionally charged voice reflects his personal battles, addressing issues such as the nation’s wealth gap, suicide rate, high taxes, and abuse of power. He has become a voice for those living without hope, particularly in small-town and rural America.

Expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming response to his music, Anthony shares, “It’s been challenging understanding what my purpose is and what I’m supposed to do with the opportunity I’ve been given. I don’t deserve one bit of any of this.”

The ‘Out of The Woods’ tour takes its name from Anthony’s connection to the natural world. Anthony explains, “I am drawn to the rolling hills, flowing creeks, swaying pines, and mighty oaks of rural Virginia. Nature doesn’t concern itself with the problems of man. And when I’m immersed in it, neither do I.”

The tour, launching in Stockholm on February 1, includes stops in major cities across Europe, the UK, and the US, with additional dates in Australia and beyond. Anthony admits to feeling both thrilled and terrified about this upcoming tour, emphasizing his desire to connect with other “lost souls” battling sobriety, depression, debt, and divorce.

Oliver Anthony Announces 2024 Tour Dates

O liver Anthony has not let his past negative experiences with concert planning get in the way, the country star is ready to get back in action with some exciting plans for 2024.

Christopher Anthony Lunsford began his music career only a few months ago after one of his  YouTube uploads went viral. Though this was not the first work the 31-year-old songwriter has shared, it was the first to go viral. Like many other celebrities, Oliver owes social media for the fanbase he has now. If it were not for the singer’s song “Rich Men North Of Richmond,” Oliver Anthony may never have received what he has now.

Oliver Anthony’s Previous Performances

Even though Christopher has just recently begun chasing a career in music, he has already done eight established concerts and many other small public performances. Oliver has had astounding success with concerts, though he has also had much difficulty.

First, there were struggles with ticket pricing , as Oliver was upset that tickets were as expensive as they were. Regardless of the drama, the rescheduled concert sold out on tickets. However, this time the tickets were $25 this time, and a fan meet and greet was provided for free. Before the decrease in price, the tickets cost between $90 and $199. The original concert was scheduled for September 17th but was later played on September 29th, 2023. The rescheduling didn’t stop there. Many following concerts ended up being pushed back for various other reasons, which upset a lot of fans, especially the ones who had planned that day out already and had a long drive.

Oliver Anthony Releases 2024 Concert Dates

As of November 7th, 2023, there are only two concerts laid out for 2024 on Oliver Anthony’s website. However, there has been information about an upcoming 2024 tour, which is yet to be dated. As for the two scheduled concerts so far, here is what you need to know:

March 15th-17th, 2024: Ipswich, Queensland, Australia (CMC Rocks QLD Festival)

The CMC Rocks QLD Festival will take place at Willowbank Raceway and includes a few more familiar faces including Lainey Wilson, Chris Young, and Tyler Hubbard. Tickets are already sold out but parking and bus tickets are still available. This is the first concert Oliver Anthony has done out of country, with more planned.

July 18th-20th, 2024: Cullman, Alabama, USA (Rock The South)

Rock The South is a music festival that will take place at York Farms campground. Tickets are still available starting at $150 , which seems more expensive than the events Oliver Anthony typically works.

Will Oliver Anthony have a tour this year as well? Yes! However, specific dates have not been released at this time. According to  Billboard , Oliver made a statement on social media stating, “I am pleased to announce that I hired two gentlemen in Nashville this week to help me with creating the 2024 tour. We're going to be all over the U.S. and even doing some international travel.” With that exciting news in mind, there will likely be a bigger update soon.

According to Taste of Country , the country folk musician will be performing at over 40 shows for his “Out of the Woods World Tour.”

The first show will kick off on February 1, 2024, in Stockholm, Sweden, before flying over the United Kingdom for seven more shows.

He will later return to the United States which will begin at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 21 to 22, 2024.

Aside from visiting major cities, he will also visit Blue-collar towns like Allegan, Ocala, and even Alaska.

We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you.
