Lacks transparency during the booking process

I just reserved a car on that website and encountered several issues: 1. I discovered that I have to pay an Out of Hours Fee, but only after receiving the voucher. There was no warning or indication of this during the booking process. 2. The voucher specifies Out of Hours information for 2021, 2022, and 2023, but there is no mention of 2024 and 2025. 3. The amount of the Out of Hours Fee is not provided anywhere. Overall, this website lacks transparency and fails to provide accurate information before and after booking. I have reached out to customer service and am currently awaiting a response. I will update this post. ***UPDATE: After my request, customer service contacted the local car rental company and I received a satisfactory response. As soon as the rental is finished, I will update the post again.

All's well that ends well!

We were given the wrong information as exactly where to greet the car supplier, LagoRent. Instead we took advantage of our already included Jet2holidays.com hotel transfer. When Nathalie heard about our predicament she contacted LagoRent whose representative was waiting in a different nearby location to greet us! In the end, two really polite young lads delivered our car direct to the hotel after contacting us by phone. So, all's well that ends well. Full marks in the end to everyone involved. Jack & Annette

Be careful! I contracted a rental car company in Turkey (DMR Car - Rent a Car) through the Enjoy Travel platform, but the rental company is a scam. They haven't returned my 500 euros deposit since Jan/24. The DMR Car sent a fake proof of transfer to Enjoy Travel, and now they are washing their hands about my case. I sent a copy of my credit card statement, but they prefer to trust the scam company. I am spending hours and hours in order to get my money back, but I will not give up.

Couldn’t give a zero so one star it is. Booked car hire to pick up at 12:00 on Wednesday and drop off the following day at 14:00 This is two days rental as it’s over 24 hours so I’m happy with that as it suits my hire period. I arrived at the car hire office to find out they have lunch from 12:00-14:00, nowhere on any paperwork or during the booking process did it state this. We waited nearly 2 hours for a member of staff to return from their break to issue us a car. So approximately 14:00 we drove off, I returned the car the next day around 14:00 so used the car for less than 24 hours but enjoy travel refuse to refund the second day even though I couldn’t collect the car at the time I selected as the office was shut. If it said the office opens at 14:00 I would’ve booked it for one day as I knew I’d be back in time. Horrendous customer service with zero explanation as to why they won’t refund the second day even though Enterprise said it was within 24 hours so I will be refunded. Steer clear unless you want unclear instructions and poor customer service.

Live chat with Sonia ... we booked a car on the site and made an error with the collection time ... when we looked to rebook with the new time the car was not available ... Sonia gave a full refund including insurance cover taken out and we were able to re book on the site

Unclear instructions and misinformation provided

Company gave incorrect pickup location. Said it was Heathrow airport. Turns out it was a hotel which required 2 trains and a bus to get to! They also said we can use a debit card for the deposit. Wrong! Because we didn't have a credit card under the driver's name, it cost is an extra £539 PER CAR non refundable! More than the actual booking cost. Has ruined our holiday completely. When contacted the company, they didn't even apologise for the inconvenience but rather told us the information was available in section 5.3 on page 4 of a lengthy terms and conditions! They also sent a screenshot of their policy in which it states a debit card can be used! When I asked them about this, and why they list the pickup location as Heathrow, they stopped replying. Unbelievable customer service. Stay far away Edit; even after this review still not a single apology for their unclear Information. Expecting a customer to read terms and conditions after providing Heathrow as the pickup location. And then also staying a debit card is sufficient when it is not. Fact of the matter is incorrect information was provided and no apologies or refund is provided shows this company lacks organisation and customer service. Stay away. Appalled. As a business owner I couldn't imagine treating customers in this manner.

Thank you for the review. The rental terms were agreed online and were sent to you via email once booked. This email was in your possesion for 1 month before collection and comes with a handy checklist which points to the most commonly questioned parts of the agreement. One of these items is accepted payment methods. In the terms it states the cards accepted for the car rental and those accepted for the deposit/excess. It clearly lists only credit cards in theis section. I personally checked this before replying to be 100% sure. In terms of location information, when booking we show if the rental company is on-site or off-site to allow the customer to make a choice based on their needs and their budget. The more detailed collection instructions are on the rental documents sent after booking, you again had these for 1 month prior to travel. With the rental provider it states clear instructions to catch a bus to the rental depot, it certainly is not 2 trains and bus. Please note we are a booking website, all the information provided is given to us by the rental provider, it is our job to ensure this is displayed and sent to you. This is done on the website and email and we also provide as stated reminders in the form of a checklist and prompts to read and understand the terms. If you had any questions around the terms we would have happily answered them.

Patience and competency

I made a mistake during my initial booking. I contacted EnjoyTravel to ask if I could fix this mistake. Nathalie answered my questions, and then waited with me while I rebooked. It was fast and easy. Extremely thankful for their help to fix my own mistake.

Fake reviews

Zero customer service and a list of repeating fake positive reviews! Took a 5% fee for booking without advising & unable to get any receipt from them for my business expenses. Have looked at reviews at various times over past 6 months and the same positive reviews are posted with previous week date on them - all fakes.

They are really bad.

They are really bad. First thing they didn't mention properly that a credit card is needed to take the car. When asked they showed a 5.4 clause in small letters. I lost 1.6k. it's money I don't have. Anybody can help me recover this please let me know. I would be very very grateful.

Thank you for the review. All rental terms are agreed to before payment is made and they are subsequently sent to you in email after the booking is placed. Within the email there is a checklist with the most important items to check, one of these is "accepted payment methods" Your rental was placed over 3 weeks before the collection which allowed you enough time to check the terms using the checklist and/or ask any questions related to your rental.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!SCAMMER ALERT!!!!!!!! if you book with enjoy travel and think the price is what they tell you well!!!!! ITS NOT. I booked a car hire for 8 days in lanzarote and when i got to goldcar I was told I needed to either pay 1700€ deposit on a 28 day return once I have took car back or pay 186€ non refundable for insurance as the insurance and excess protection I have already paid was not valid. Plus they also wanted a payment for a full tank of fuel up front of 141€ which again would take 28 days to be returned to me. ABSOLUTELY CRAZY who has £1500 spare in their bank account after a holiday to put down as a holding deposit for a hire . Ill never use this company again. And the review is that of Enjoy travel & Goldcar hire company. Both are working in conjunction with each other and enjoy travel is taking insurance and protection payments which the hire company say isn't valid.

Rat Rat Rat Enjoy travel is a scammer company, Took my third party insurance online, when i went to bargain rental, was told your insurance is not valid and not acceptable. Either you have to put $5000 bond or have to pay another insurance to take car. Was already late , paid another insurance and was informed enjoy travel and follow up message was given refund is declined, well i said you scammer and let it go. well nobody jis stupid to pay double insurance. Seriously think twice before using this company. Zero customer service, zero knowledge of the companies they work with. Insurance upgrades not valid. They will even threaten you with action if you say you will post a review or take to social media. Seriously not people you should be spending your hard earned money with.

Excellent and swift customer service

I booked our car rental via Enjoy Travel and the whole process was very smooth and efficient. I was especially impressed with the service from Srabana who helped me change the name on the future rental booking, following me having an accident (and damaging my knee) which meant I was no longer able to drive the car.

I always now book my cars through Enjoy Travel. Their customer service team are excellent. My recent issue (which was of my making) was handled by Nathalie with courtesy, efficiency and great understanding of the mistake i had made and the problem was resolved quickly. problems with rental company

I had real problems since the rental cancelled my booking. I had to make a new booking for tomorrow and the website was playing up. Nathalie was helpful and patient. I hope the Customer Support will be as helpful with the refund of the insurance that I paid on the cancelled booking.

DON'T USE ENJOY TRAVEL

Please, please , please DONT USE ENJOY TRAVEL!! I rented a car through them at Christmas, Salzburg airport they provided the wrong contact phone number , no car when I arrived , had to get train taxi and lifts from family to finally get car 2 days late!!repeatedly over the last 3 and a half months I've tried to get my expenses returned to me with no joy. My credit card company have returned the 2 days hire I never received because enjoy travel were at fault, please don't use them you certainly WONT ENJOY it . AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Missing information and bad response

They are so nice while booking but after booking when you get a problem they just don't reply anymore. We booked a car through the website and when we went to pick up the car we were forced to buy extra insurance because of age which was never mentioned on the website while booking the car. Also, the pickup point on the contract was at the airport, however, we were taken by a shuttle to somewhere else to pick up the car, which was frustrating.

Car seat omission

In our rush to get the car booked we forgot to add on the kids car seats. I contacted Enjoy Travel. Nathalie replied from enjoy travel, got a quote from the supplier and arranged booking with really good communication throughout getting it sorted.

Car rental not available and no refund

Rented a vehicle and the branch closed early, was advised to go next day which I did only to be told car I booked was not available and I would need to take a more expensive car. I was not prepared to do this and they refused to refund me. So I'm £300 down and no car for an important week. Terrible customer service and just making rules to take their customers money.

I have been using Enjoy for several years now, booking early to ensure I get the right car, however when I book early prices can be a little higher, that’s not a problem as once again Enjoy in the form of Nathalie have changed by booking to the new best price available. Once I had pointed out to the new lower price Nathalie could not have been more helpful and changed my booking, saving me £80 on my original booking !!!
