Stardew Valley: 7 Mods To Go Faster

Players who are tired of the more menial aspects of Stardew Valley should find the following mods highly useful.

  • Speed up the journey and save time by using the Horse Whistle mod, allowing players to summon their horses from anywhere.
  • Control the base speed of one's character and increase the speed of the watering can and hoe with the Movement Speed mod.
  • Customize and control the speed of different animations with the Fast Animations mod to tailor the gameplay experience.

There is a lot of ground to cover in Stardew Valley and a great many tasks to do daily. From delving deep into the mines to finding that one villager whose birthday it is, to handpicking dozens and dozens of barrels.

20 Switch RPGs To Play If You Love Skyrim

There are many ways to optimize production and movement in Stardew Valley , but some players might be looking to cut the time on certain aspects even further. The mods are a great choice for introducing new tools and mechanics to help players enjoy this great title the way they prefer.

1 Horse Whistle

Endorsements - 5,204.

  • Uploaded by - icepuente
  • Link to the Mod

Whistling to summon a horse is by no means a new mechanic in video games. From Zelda to The Witcher , calling for one’s (mostly) trusted companion is a fun and engaging way to speed up the journey.

This mod introduces just that to the game, allowing players to enjoy the hastiness of their steed from almost anywhere. Whether a player has forgotten where they left their friend, or just find themselves in need of a ride, with a click of a button they can hurry to their next destination.

2 Movement Speed

Endorsements - 7,608.

  • Uploaded by - bcmpinc

This is as straightforward as it gets. The mod allows players to control the base speed of their character, going as fast as they want to. While going overboard might make it somewhat difficult to control, especially in tighter corners or inside buildings, no one is stopping the players from becoming actual speedsters in the game.

10 Best RPG Dating Sims

The mod also increases the speed of the watering can and hoe. The movement speed can also be affected by other modifiers, such as the horse or coffee.

3 Fast Animations

Endorsements - 12,007.

  • Uploaded by - Pathoschild

There are dozens of different animations that players have to constantly go through. From eating to digging to mining and harvesting. The mod allows players to customize and control the speed of each one, enabling players to tailor their experience to the game’s many mechanics.

8 Best Co-Op Crafting Games, Ranked

After all, as charming and detailed as certain activities are, players might get a little impatient after seeing them for the thousandth time. It is a great mod to have, as players often have that one activity they really don’t like, and with this, they can still have most of the game unaffected.

4 Automatic Gates

Endorsements - 20,935.

  • Uploaded by - ScheKaa

This mod is short and simple, but incredibly useful and timesaving. By a certain point in the game, especially if players lean towards farm animals, the number of different gates can get quite high, and constantly opening and closing them can take some time.

With this mod, players can freely roam their ranch, without even thinking of fiddling with the gates, and not having to worry about whether or not they left them open. The mod only opens the gates for players, and not for the animals.

5 Skull Cavern Elevator

Endorsements - 59,569.

  • Uploaded by - Bifibi

The Skull Cavern challenge is one of the hardest combat-based quests in the game, requiring players to reach level 100 in one day, which will take a lot of preparation, a good chunk of time... and a bit of extra luck.

Best Cooperative Games Perfect For Date Nights

With this mod though, players can gradually make their way to the bottom, opening new elevator shafts every 5 levels. The cavern is incredibly useful for mining rare materials, especially at lower levels. And with the mod, players can just drop down to the needed level and quickly get all the resources they might need.

Endorsements - 66,923

It’s hard to overstate just how much time this mod can save. The basic idea is that chests and machines can now interact with each other, allowing players to make elaborate self-harvesting setups, completely removing the need to constantly refill any of them.

So instead of refilling 50 barrels, players simply need to put them next to each other, and a chest on one end. Then they can fill that chest with fruits, and watch the magic unfold. And that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new possibilities!

7 Tractor Mod

Endorsements - 68,629.

At the end of the day, this is a farming simulator, and a good chunk of the game will be spent doing exactly that. So why not have a way to do all that back-breaking labor more efficiently?

This mod allows players to purchase a tractor, which has many different tools to help out around the farm. From planting to harvesting, even to milking cows, suddenly every chore is done in no time at all. Players will have to earn and save up for it, but it is definitely worth it.

Honorable Mention – Elle's New Horses

  • Uploaded by - junimods

This mod gives some much-needed love to the fastest means of free travel in the game: the horse. The mod introduces an extensive collection of new horse breeds, colors, and even saddles.

After all, players can already put hats on their four-legged companions, so why not take it a step further ? Aside from “classic” breeds and patterns, the mod also adds a few vibrant, colorful options such as Prismatic variants and so on. It is a great mod for those who want a little more customization in this aspect of the game.

Adds a fast travel mechanic to Stardew Valley's map

Mckenon/SDV-FastTravel

Folders and files, repository files navigation, fast travel.

Fast Travel is a mod which allows the player to fast travel to any location on the map, by simply left clicking the icon. This allows the player to quickly go from say, the mines, to the blacksmith.

This mod is no longer regularly maintained, as I now lack the time to continue development / updates for each SDV version. If you would like to see this mod continue, feel free to make a pull request and message me on discord at Mckenon#1692 :)

Mod Support

As this is my first mod, I decided not to add full support for others' mods. I knew that would simply be biting off more than I could chew, so instead I opted to use a configurable system for each warp. These can be edited / added in the config.json file. As an example, here is the warp for the town square:

The pointId , is identify of point click on map. You can see on console, with debug mode ON typing ft_helper debugmode 1 on console.

And the SpawnPosition is a X, Y position of player inside the map. You can get this typing ft_helper playerlocation on console, to get your current location X, Y.

If you had installed a mod which added a giant fountain in the middle of the town square for instance, you could move the spawn position up a few tiles on the Y axis(second number) to stop yourself from spawning inside of it.

  • Can't fast travel to Quarry. (Currently disabled due to a bug with indoor backgrounds)
  • The bus animation doesn't play when fast travelling with a mount

11 best Stardew Valley mods for Patch 1.6, from cheats to farm enhancements

While the vanilla Stardew Valley experience is incredible on its own, the best mods can spruce up additional playthroughs with cheats, farm enhancements, and even all-new expansions.

There are plenty of things that can be tweaked, changed, or even removed in the base game to make it a better experience, and that's where mods can really come in handy. With so many to choose from though it's difficult to know where to start - but I've compiled a list of the best mods to give you a comprehensive experience.

Download SMAPI first

  • Nexus Mods link
  • Author: Pathoschild
  • Required mods: None

Although there are some additional mods required to get certain other mods working, having SMAPI installed for Stardew Valley is fundamentally the first and most essential thing you should do .

It's short for 'Stardew Modding API', and acts as a loader for pretty much every single mod available in the game . You won't get too far without it, and while it doesn't 'do' anything in particular in-game, it's the glue that holds all of your other additions together.

Best convenience mods

Mods in Stardew Valley can largely be split into two categories - convenience and expansion. The former refers to mods that make the overall experience 'smoother', adding time-saving mechanics or even cheats that are perfect for new and experienced players alike.

#7 - CBJ Cheats Menu

  • Author: CBJok and Pathoschild
  • Required mods: SMAPI

Image of the CBJ Cheats Menu mod in Stardew Valley

If you simply want complete control of everything going on in Pelican Town, then the CBJ Cheats Menu mod is perfect for you. As the name suggests, this is a complication of cheats that allow you to enhance your character, adjust the weather, change relationships, and even warp across the map .

While I wouldn't recommend this for most players - and I'd definitely steer away if you're new to Stardew - it can be an interesting experience from a sandbox perspective. It's ideal if you simply want to build your ideal farm without restrictions - and you can even pause time and give yourself unlimited stamina to be free from all restrictions.

#6 - CBJ Item Spawner

Image of the CBJ Item Spawner mod in Stardew Valley

On a similar note, the CBJ Item Spawner is the perfect mod to pair with the aforementioned Cheats Menu, as it lets you spawn in any item you wish in the game. This can range from Iridium Tools to the rarest gems and is essential to complete your sandbox save.

I'd say that this is perhaps a little more applicable to the average Stardew experience, as it can be frustrating to have missed that one item needed for the Community Centre, as this saves you from needing to wait a whole year for the season to arrive again.

Be careful not to run away with your newfound power though, as one item can quickly lead to one hundred!

#5 - CBJ Show Item Sell Price

Image of the CBJ Show Item Sell Price mod in Stardew Valley

Rounding off this trio of CBJ mods is 'Show Item Sell Price', which does exactly what it says on the tin. While not as comprehensive or controlling as the other two, this is simply just a handy addition to the game that can help you save time and prioritise your inventory .

I'd recommend installing this one even if you are a new player, as it's super helpful to keep track of how much each item you're picking up costs - as I know I've been in situations where I've spent time collecting an item that only sells for a small amount of gold in the end.

#4 - NPC Map Locations

  • Author: Bouhm and Pathoschild

Image of the NPC Map Locations mod in Stardew Valley

This was one of the first mods that I downloaded upon returning to the game in Patch 1.6, as I've personally always found it quite frustrating to find people in Pelican Town. Each NPC does have a strict schedule that is easily tracked, but sometimes you just need to give that Cauliflower to Jodi without having to look up where she is first!

This mod creates a real-time live position of every single NPC on the map , letting you know where they are at any given time. Do be careful though, as NPCs can move while you're on the way to meet them, and they can also be inaccessible within their homes in the early and late hours of the day.

#3 - Lookup Anything

Image of the Lookup Anything mod in Stardew Valley

Much like the NPC locations, this mod is very much a timesaver, as it gives you the ability to quickly check any relevant info about pretty much everything in-game .

Think of it like an encyclopaedia of sorts, where you'll be able to look up why something is the way that it is, or all of the relevant info behind an item, animal, or character. It's especially useful for figuring out each character's favourite gifts , and how far your crops are away from harvest , but you'd be surprised at how much you can glean from this mod alone.

#2 - Automate

Image of the Automate mod in Stardew Valley

Automation is ultimately the aim of the game for any farm in Stardew, so this mod is the perfect companion that'll save you so much time and effort.

It works by allowing you to place a chest by any machine or tool, and the machine will then automatically pull ingredients from the chest to work with , and then place the finished product back without you having to do anything.

It can be especially useful when dealing with ore, or machines like the Mayonnaise Maker, as it'll keep them constantly going and ensure that there's no downtime. I found it personally helpful for Crab Pots, as they're typically not on your farm so I had to go out of my way to check and refill them.

#1 - Tractor Mod

Image of the Tractor mod in Stardew Valley

You'd be lying if you told me that the idea of a tractor doesn't sound appealing! Thankfully this mod doesn't just sound cool but is also extremely helpful in practice.

This tractor is essentially your one-stop shop for everything on your farm , as it can till the ground for seeds (with Fertilizer!), clear any debris - including rocks, twigs, and grass, alongside collecting any harvestable crops and animal produce.

Best expansion mods

Expansions are the other main mod category in Stardew Valley, and these typically include reskins and new content additions that replace what already exists within the base game. I'd hedge against these mods for new players as they do significantly alter the experience, but if any look appealing then go ahead!

#4 - DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolour

  • Author: DaisyNiko
  • Required mods: SMAPI, Content Patcher

Image of DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolour mod in Stardew Valley

I'm not typically a fan of recolour mods, but this one adds a nice touch to the game if you're wanting a change from the typical Stardew aesthetic. As the name suggests, it adds an 'earthy' touch to many of the game's colours , approaching it from a more 'realistic' standpoint.

This definitely won't be for everyone as some areas can become a bit washed out, but it might go perfectly with your approach to the game and how you want everything to feel, so I'd definitely recommend trying it out at least.

#3 - Seasonal Outfits

  • Author: Poltergeister and various artists

Image of the Seasonal Outfits mod in Stardew Valley

Tired of seeing your favourite NPCs wearing the same things every day? Then this mod will be perfect for you! It adds five new outfits to every single NPC in the game - one for Spring, Summer, and Autumn, alongside then two for Winter (inside and outside).

While most of the Spring outfits are largely similar to their Vanilla versions, the additional portraits give so much flavour to the characters and add some much-needed variance to the everyday. Most of the Winter outside outfits are my favourites, as they add nice accessorised flourishes to help everyone deal with the cold a little better.

#2 - Stardew Valley Expanded

  • Author: FlashShifter
  • Required mods: SMAPI, Farm Type Manager , Content Patcher

Image of the Stardew Valley Expanded mod

Stardew Valley Expanded is undoubtedly the most popular comprehensive overhaul mod for the game, featuring a completely new map, 27 new NPCs, and so much more .

This is definitely the place to go if you're looking for a completely fresh Stardew experience, as most of the content is stuff that you won't have experienced before - almost like playing a completely new game!

#1 - Ridgeside Village

  • Author: Rafseazz and mamaesh - Assisted by RSV Council
  • Required mods: Content Patcher, Farm Type Manager, Custom Companions , SpaceCore

Image of the Ridgeside Village mod

If you've already played through Stardew Valley Expanded, or simply just want a different, more in-depth experience, then you should definitely check out Ridgeside Village.

This mod adds an entirely new location, over 50 NPCs (with 22 potential marriage candidates), alongside new festivals, events, shops, quests, and more .

One of my favourite aspects of this mod is the new shop interactions like the health checkup and the hotel, as they add a fresh experience that has not been seen before in Stardew. It feels like a different rhythm to the game too, which is certainly an appealing aspect when you've spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours in the base game.

How to download & install mods

You'll be able to find and download mods for Stardew Valley easily through the game's Nexus Mods page - all you need to do is create an account and then start downloading.

Once you've got all the mods you wish to install, you'll first want to install SMAPI as that's the foundation of most mods that you'll be using:

  • Make sure that you've started up the game at least once without SMAPI
  • Extract the .zip file on your desktop (or anywhere outside of the game folder)
  • Double-click on the 'Windows.bat' file to install SMAPI and keep the installer window open
  • Copy the line of text within the installer window that shows the file location and then '%command%'
  • Right-click on Stardew Valley on Steam and head to the 'Properties…' menu
  • Navigate to the 'Launch Options' text box within the 'General' tab, and paste in the text that you copied from the installer menu

This will now launch the game through SMAPI every time that you launch the game, ensuring that all of your mods will work with no issues.

Now that you've installed SMAPI though, here's everything you'll need to do to install any additional mods that you want to use:

  • (Steam) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley
  • (GOG) C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Stardew Valley
  • (Xbox App) C:\XboxGames\Stardew Valley
  • (Steam) /Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS
  • (GOG) /Applications/Stardew Valley.app/Contents/MacOS
  • /.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley
  • You can create this if it doesn't already exist
  • Make sure that each mod is placed within a folder named directly after the mod without any numbers

Once you've done that, you should now be able to boot up the game and see all of your mods in action! One thing to be careful of is that some mods require additional supporting mods beyond SMAPI to run , as noted underneath all of our recommendations. Make sure to always check the 'Requirements' section of the Nexus Mods page to see if there are any additional mods you need to download.

That should leave you set with the ideal farming experience, but make sure to also wander over to our Stardew Valley homepage , as we've got lots of tips and tricks you'll need to succeed each season, including how to find and grow an Ancient Seed , all things Green Rain , and where to find the Bookseller .

Tracking down Stardew Valley mods to seed your newest farm? With constant releases looking to imitate each and every day, it's always good to remember why the original is still the finest. Even more than eight years since its 2016 release, Stardew Valley's still the king with a diverse population of farm aficionados farming it up in the country life simulator. Courtesy of the truly devoted modding community, Stardew has a bumper crop of custom offerings to grow into, with everything from quality of life adjustments to total farm redo's. Plus, with the long awaited—and properly massive— Stardew Valley 1.6 update finally live , modders have gotten a big helping hand.

So, regardless of how you want to renovate your farm: the Stardew Valley modding community has your back. If you want to make a pastel flower paradise, scrap together a platoon of robots to tend your crops, switch over to anime character portraits, or you just want some reminders of when to plant a crop, this list is ready to be your guide. You can root around yourself on the Nexus Mods page or the Stardew Valley Mod forum , both of which get amazing new creations all the time.

Even without mods, Stardew Valley is definitely one of the best laptop games to pick for your low-spec machine. Don't forget one important thing to note though, before jumping in: Stardew Valley does still get updates. Since there isn't any official mod support, there's a good chance that mods will stop working or need a reinstall after updates.

It's smart to back-up any files you are going to modify in case you need to revert the changes. And back up your save data just to be safe. It can be found by default at C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves.

Stardew Valley Gameplay Mods

Stardew valley expanded.

Stardew Valley mod - Stardew Valley Expanded map showing a larger game world

Download from:   Nexus Mods

Stardew Valley Expanded is one of the biggest Stardew mods out there and it really does feel like a proper Stardew Valley expansion . It adds tons of new characters with their own backstories and events. It adds new farm maps and tons of new in game locations too. Those are just the big changes. SDVE comes with plenty of smaller tweaks too and if any mod is worth starting Stardew over for, it's this one.

Farmtronics

Automation is the future! If you want to add a little sci-fi styling to your sleepy farmdom, Farmtronics by Joe Strout grants you with your very own army of robots who can water crops, plants seeds, and just generally care for your farm while you're doing other stuff. To receive your first automaton in the mail, you'll have to complete the ToDo tasks on the Farmtronics Home Computer that'll be added to your TV. After that, you can purchase more bots from Pierre's Shop.

Farm Extended

Stardew Valley mods - Farm Extended

Download from: Nexus Mods This mod has not been updated for Stardew Valley 1.6

For those of us who really struggle to choose a farm type when starting a new farm, Farm Extended gives the standard farm benefits of all the specialty farms. The extended farm features dedicated areas for fishing, foraging, and mining as well as fenced areas designed to keep animals from escaping. Modder Forkmaster also added a minecart stop behind the farmhouse for quick travel to other parts of town directly from home.

Attractive Standard Farm

Stardew Valley mods - attractive standard farm - the farm lot has been redisigned with several hills and designated plant plots.

Here's another excellent standard farm redesign, though this one is focused on being cute instead of efficient. This farm map has lots of designated crop fields in different sizes, a few ponds, and just a couple nooks for tucking buildings. It's definitely for the farmers who want a really lovely piece of land but aren't as worried about maximizing profits.

You may spot that this farm screenshot is using some alternate textures too. You'll find Flower Valley in the visual mods section.

Ellie's Ideal Greenhouse

Stardew Valley mods - Ellie's ideal greenhouse - a small redesigned greenhouse with dedicated tree plots.

Download from: Nexus Mods

There are a ton of mods for expanding the greenhouse, most of which are excessively large. Ellie's redesign is very balanced and offers three different greenhouse redesigns, from the modest one above to a larger two room building. You can spruce up your greenhouse with simply a better laid out central plot and tree planting spaces or go for a large second orchard room.

For yet another greenhouse option, the Oasis Greenhouse mod by DaisyNiko is a more aesthetic design that also adds a spa and wine cellar.

Animal Husbandry

Stardew Valley mods - Animal Husbanrdy - An info screen showing the meat cleaver and meat want, new meat foods, recipes, and feeding baskets.

The Animal Husbandry mod, formerly known as the Butcher Mod, allows you to turn your animal friends into their component meat parts. If you don't care for using the meat cleaver on your cute little hogs, modder Digus added a "softmode" that changes the cleaver into a Meat Wand that lets you "exchange your animals for meat that grows on trees on another dimension." It also adds a new animal contest event to participate in.

PPJA's Cannabis Kit and more food mods

Stardew Valley mods - Cannabis Kit

"Mayor Lewis has recently passed legislation allowing you to now grow cannabis on your farm!" says modder Paradigmnomad. Cannabis Kit adds a number of cannabis strains that can be bought from Harvey and Pierre during the summer and fall. Your mature cannabis plants can be crafted with original Stardew Valley artisan machines to produce products like hemp cloth and cannabis oil.

There are a ton of other mods by Paradigmnomad adding more recipes, crops, and items. There are slews of artisan goods and even trees that grow meat . They are no longer being updated, but appear to still be operational with Stardew Valley version 1.5.

Stardew Valley mods - a screenshot of the player's farmer doing a gnarly kickflip with the help of the Skateboard mod.

Does what it says on the tin: Skateboard adds a skateboard. Not sure why you'd need any more info than that, but it's a craftable item that requires a modest collection of materials, after which you're free to shred at a moment's notice with just a right-click. Your skateboard's a little clumsier than walking in exchange for faster travel, but hey—so's a real skateboard, for most of us. The mod's creator also recommends their Yet Another Jump Mod , which not only helps untangle yourself after skating into a corner, but also lets you do sick tricks.

The Love of Cooking

Stardew valley mods - The Love of Cooking

This mod is for people who really do love cooking and want it to matter more in Stardew Valley. It adds new recipes, a search function, and the ability to toggle using high-quality ingredients. It even changes healing so that eating foods heals over time instead of instantly. There's even a new community center challenge that unlocks kitchen upgrades.

Stardew Valley mods - Automate - A player stands with a lobster beside a recycling machine, chest, worm bin, and three crab pots that will automatically catch river crabs.

The Automate mod is a huge boon to productivity on the farm that reminds me of complicated redstone machinery in Minecraft. Automate allows you to pair chests with machines that automatically pull raw materials from a connected chest and push the output back into the same chest. Smarter folks than me will be able to chain together complex interactions that save you from running about your farm to fill up machines all day.

Tractor Mod

Stardew Valley mods - Tractor mod - A player rides a green tractor near a field of corn

Modern farmers rejoice! No longer does escaping to the countryside mean you must also submit to ancient farming techniques. The Tractor Mod allows you to purchase a tractor that performs the same functions as many of your basic farm tools but faster . It does everything from tilling dirt to breaking rocks to planting seeds, all from the comfort of a cushy seat. It's a very expensive upgrade, as tractors are, but once you've bought that garage you'll never have to plant by hand again.

Teh's Fishing Overhaul

Stardew Valley mods - Teh's Fishing Overhaul

Stardew Valley is one of few games where I don't outright detest the fishing minigame, but Teh's Fishing Overhaul makes the experience that much better. It adds the possibility for fish to be unaware of you, making them easier to catch, and rewards you for consecutive perfect catches as well. I'll still never choose the riverland farm map, but this overhaul will certainly make grabbing those fishing achievements less painful.

Stardew Valley mods - Free love

Choosing a paramour from all of Pelican Town's eligible individuals is a struggle every time I start a new game. Abigail speaks to my nerdy little heart but doesn't poor Shane deserve to be saved from the clutches of JojaMart? Free Love is the Stardew 1.5 successor to the former Multiple Spouses mod which now allows you to have many living situations like a roommate and a spouse or multiple spouses.

Platonic Partners

Stardew Valley mods - Platonic Partners

For the exact opposite of the Multiple Spouses mod, the Platonic Partners mod lets you have a 10-heart level relationship with marriage candidates without getting married. Final relationship events for each character have been edited to reflect your close personal relationship. You can also still live together or co-parent children, just without the romantic component.

Romanceable Rasmodius

Stardew Valley mods - Romanceable Rasmodius

I've never been inclined to marry Rasmodius the wizard, but apparently modder WerewolfMaster was so inspired after playing another mod, Wizard Narrative Overhaul . Romanceable Rasmodius builds on the narrative overhaul created by Haywrites to turn him into a marriage candidate complete with heart events, post-marriage dialogue, and festival dialogue that references your relationship. I suspect this would pair well with a mod that changes Rasmodius's portrait to make him look a little more age appropriate for your young-adult farmer.

Cornucopia - More Crops

Stardew Valley Mods - a variety of crops added by the Cornucopia mod

Download From: Nexus Mods

It's hard to resist the veritable smorgasbord of new crops introduced by MizuJakkaru's hard work, but even better is how modular it is. You can fine tune which crops and trees you want from over 90 crops and 35 trees, plus awesome little features like berry bushes and mushroom stumps that stick around even when out of season. Even better, MizuJakkaru has several follow-up mods on the way intended to expand on artisan goods and other things to integrate with Cornucopia. Talk about crop diversity!

Stardew Valley Visual Mods

Stardew anime mods .

Stardew Valley mods - Stardew Anime mods

Stardew Anime Mods is one of the most popular portrait mods for Stardew, for good reason. Its detailed and brightly colored pixel work fits in great with default Stardew Valley.

DCBurger's Portrait Mod

Stardew Valley mods - DCBurger's Portrait Mod

My own favorite portrait mod is DCBurger's Portrait Mod, unlike the many, many anime-style character edits and gender swaps, DCBurger's portraits are grittier. All of the characters have a darker style with square jaws and more masculine features. They may not exactly fit in with the original version of Pelican Town, but they're a nice break from the cuteness. These portraits rely on the Portraiture mod that allows for higher resolution character portraits.

Fisharia Anime Portraits

Stardew Valley mods - Fisharia Anime Portraits

Another excellent anime portrait mod is the set by Fisharia with an even cuter, cartoon-y feel than some other Stardew anime mods. This set covers all of Stardew's cast, going so far as to give some of them pretty wild anime hairstyles.

Diverse Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley mods - Diverse Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley has a great cast of characters, but this mod remixes them by adding more diverse body types, ethnicities, and genders. Once downloaded, you can choose whether to keep the original model for each character or switch to the more diverse one. If you do make the switch, not only will the character model change, but they'll also get their own seasonal outfits, swimming costume, maternity outfits when pregnant, and a handful of other additions. Even better, the characters you don't switch will still be eligible for other mods.

Monster Valley

Stardew Valley mods - Monster Valley

Games about dating monsters and swords and birds have worked their way into gaming mainstream lately and Monster Valley carries in their freaky footsteps. "Ever wanted to date a demon? Seduce a slime girl? Marry a merman?" Asks modder Blizzriel. "Well, now you can!" Monster Valley changes both the portraits and sprites of Pelican Town's most eligible and their families into spooky alternatives. Sebastian and Robin become demons, while Maru and Demetrius are patchwork dolls. Elliott, of course, is a merman.

Backpacks & Baubles

Stardew Valley mods - Backpacks and Baubles.

This Stardew Valley mod by PeacefulEnd aims to give you the fanciest backpack around. You can choose from multiple designs, change the colour, add dynamic lighting with a lantern, or even carry a backpack that gets bigger as your inventory gets fuller. There is also a selection of baubles that will float alongside you as you stroll around. It's a little change, but considering how often you have a backpack, it's a mod that amounts to a fun and flavourful addition.

Empty Spouse Room

Stardew Valley mods - Empty Spouse Room

While I love all of Stardew's spouses, I'm always a bit disappointed when my sweetheart moves in and totally trashes the aesthetic of my house with their own weird hobby room. Marriage is all about compromise, but the sanctity of my decor isn't an area where I'm willing to meet in the middle. My problems are solved with the empty spouse room mod, which gives me the ability to impose my own decor on my partner.

Flower Valley

Stardew Valley mods - Flower Valley

Download from: Mod Drop This mod has not been updated for Stardew Valley 1.6

When it comes to building retextures, Flower Valley is one of the prettiest, which makes its popularity no surprise. This mod redesigns all your farm buildings, Pelican Town, and trees all over the valley with seasonal flowers. It's a fever dream of florals right out of a fairytale.

Slime Rancher

Stardew Valley mods - slime ranching in action

Download from: Nexus Mods Inspired by Stardew Valley's delightful space cousin Slime Rancher , this mod replaces the visuals for every farm animal (other than fish) with an animal-themed slime equivalent. It's just a cosmetic treatment, though—your livestock will retain all their harvestable features in their new ooze-y state. If you're just interested in replacing a some animals or your pet, the mod has optional versions that only swap out livestock, pets, or horses, respectively.

The Pinkpocalypse

Stardew Valley mods - Cute Valley Pink

Most of these mods have not been updated for Stardew Valley 1.6 I should not be shocked by the number of mods that specifically turn various elements of Stardew Valley into cotton-candy pink. To start with, turn all of Stardew's dialogue boxes and inventory screens pink with The Pink Interface . Follow that up with Cute Valley Pink and More Buildings for Cute Valley which together pink-ify all of your farms buildings, interiors, tools, and machines. Do you want pink sheep ? Of course you do. Why have scarecrows when you can have a bunch of adorable catcrows instead?

Cuter Fatter Cows

Stardew Valley mods - Cuter Fatter Cows

Cuter Fatter Cows turns Stardew Valley's bovines into plumper versions with rosy cheeks meant to look like the cows of Harvest Moon. A number of modders have created new animal sprites but these are by far my favorite. Modder Identitypollution has released an update to Cuter Fatter Cows which includes all of their cuter and fatter animal retextures for goats, chickens, and more.

Stardew Valley Utility & Cheat Mods

Tool smart switch.

The tool hotbar in Stardew Valley.

Download from: Nexus Mods This mod has not been updated for Stardew Valley 1.6 Arguably the handiest mod in existence, if you add up all the collective seconds that would otherwise be spent fumbling over your action bar. As long as it's in your hotbar, Tool Smart Switch will automatically use the appropriate tool for whatever plant, animal, or object you're interacting with.

NPC Map Locations

Stardew Valley mods - NPC map locations

This is a utility that you'll never want to be without once you add it. Pelican Town's residents never seem to be where you expect when you need them most, so this mod shows you on your map exactly where they are at all times. No longer will you be pacing back and forth in Marnie's shop while she's clearly attending yoga at Pierre's.

Add Berry Seasons to Calendar

Stardew Valley mods - Add Berry Seasons to Calendar

Though it's just a little change, Add Berry Seasons to Calendar by Inmognito is handy because it does just that, letting you track the berry and shell seasons so you know when to head out and harvest. It features the Salmonberry season in Spring, the beach forage in Summer, and the Blackberry season in Fall.

Farmer Helper

Stardew Valley mods - Farmer Helper

This handy Stardew Valley mod by Aedenthorn is a must-have for any farmer. It can tell you when seeds are too late in the season to be planted, and even prevent late planting if you turn on the functionality. Farmer Helper can also give reminders for when plants require harvesting or watering before sleep, and can even prompt you to put your animals back inside for the night.

UI Info Suite

Stardew Valley mods - UI Info Suite

There's a lot to keep track of on the farm and sometimes you just can't remember when you planted your cauliflower or whether or not you pet your sheep this morning. The UI Info Suite contains a lot of useful game information that doesn't quite cross into cheating territory. Animals that need to be milked or pet have icons over their head. On mouse over, plants will display their name and days until they can be harvested. The Info Suite has a number of other useful features perfect if you're a forgetful farmer.

Stardew Valley mods - Jump Over

Do you place gates for your fences based on what looks nice instead of what's actually practical? You can stop walking all the way around your fenced in fields and make life a whole lot easier with Jump Over. Does precisely what it says on the tin.

Gift Taste Helper Continued x2

Stardew Valley mods - Gift Taste Helper

If you constantly have to Alt+Tab out of your game because you cannot for the life of you remember which gifts to give to Caroline and Evelyn, Gift Taste Helper keeps you from having to leave the game to get answers. This mod adds a tooltip with a villager's favorite items when you mouse over them in the relationships menu or their birthday on the calendar. If suddenly becoming omniscient in the ways of gifts feels a little too cheaty for you, modder JoXW has continued the work of Tstaples and Isi0 to add a progression version of the mod where you'll only know a villager's preferred gifts if you've successfully discovered them yourself through trial and error.

Categorize Chests

Stardew Valley mods - Categorize Chests

By year two of any Stardew farm, I've typically got an entire fleet of chests housing all of my excess fruits, building materials, and rarecrows. Each one has a specific spread of items known only to me from an inventory list that exists only in my head. Categorize Chests allows you to make sense of the madness by dictating exactly which items go in which chests and putting only those items in it with just one button press each time you open it. I've never felt so organized.

In-Game Cheat Menu

Stardew Valley Mods - In-game cheat menu

This is a very far complex and impressive mod that adds an extensive cheat menu inside the game. You can teleport anywhere, adjust your skill levels on the fly, change the weather, freeze time, give yourself money, increase movement speed, turn on god mode, adjust fishing difficulty, make your watering can never run out, and a whole heck of a lot more—all from within the game. The cheat menu actually has some features of other mods on this list built in, so if you liked the look of some of the mods on the previous page, they may be covered here.

BJS - Time Skipper

Stardew Valley mods - BJS Time Skipper

Sometimes you get to year five of a farm and have achieved just about everything aside from amassing a fortune. When you've got nothing to do but watch your crops grow, BJS Time Skipper lets you use an Elder Scrolls-esque time waiting function where you choose the number of days you'd like to skip and then watch the days fly by.

Stardew Valley mods - Night Owl

If you need more time in your day to farm, the one surefire way to get it is just not sleeping! Stardew Valley forces your farmer to pass out at 2am if they haven't gone to bed yet. With the Night Owl mod, you can stay up forever and never sleep. The game will save at 6am by making it look like you're passing out, but unlike the main game you won't lose items or be forced back home again.

Custom Warps

Stardew Valley mods - Custom Warps

Custom Warps adds a menu to Stardew Valley where you can set and travel to any tile on the game map. It's a cheesy solution to the problem of walking or riding around town, but a cool mod nevertheless!

AutoAnimalDoors

Stardew Valley mods - AutoAnimalDoors

Do you ever remember to shut the doors to your barns and coops at night? I don't. No matter what I do, I always seem to leave my poor animals out in the cold on rainy days. AutoAnimalDoors does the remembering for you by automatically opening and shutting all barns and coops each day. It's a small but life-saving change.

Stardew Valley Save Editor

Stardew Valley mods - Stardew Valley Save Editor

This save editor is a separate tool, not technically a mod, that allows you to adjust certain variables about your save file without having to dig around in a text editor. Sure, you could use it to cheat money and power into your game, but it also lets you do more difficult things than that. The save editor can be used to cheat your way through the game, but it can also be used to subtly adjust variables that you couldn't control any other way, making it a valuable tool even for those of us using no mods at all.

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Mods

Cabin owner displayed.

Stardew Valley mods - Cabin Owner Displayed

If you're running an operation with several other farmer friends, it can be tough to keep track of which houses belong to which friends. Cabin Owner Displayed is a quick fix that shows the name of a cabin's owner when you enter. No more pranking the wrong friend by accident.

Multiplayer Backpacks

Stardew Valley mod - Multiplayer Backpacks

Another useful way to keep tabs on your multiplayer friends is the Multiplayer Backpacks mod which lets you see what all your fellow farmers are carrying with them. Ideally you can use it to plan better as a group but if you just need it to figure out who's been hoarding all the hoes, it can do that too.

Unlimited Players

Stardew Valley mods - Unlimited Players

Now that Stardew Valley's official multiplayer support is out, we no longer need the Makeshift Multiplayer mod, but there are always greater heights for mod makers to aspire to. Unlimited Players removes the cap on cabins that can be built on a farm and the limit on number of farmers that can join a session. Only the player hosting the multiplayer session needs to install Unlimited Players, meaning you may be able to surprise some strangers with overpopulated farms.

Always On Server

Stardew Valley mods - Always On Server

This mod puts the farm host into a deep slumber, allowing the world to continue running without them playing. This allows for the rest of your farmers to play even when the host isn't present, and the mod is smart enough to pause the action when no one's active so time won't pass. The host will have to leave the game running on their computer, but that's a small price to pay for a farm that never sleeps.

Warp To Friends

Stardew Valley mods - Warp To Friends

Warp to Friends adds an additional menu to Stardew Valley showing the location of all other farmhands and a button for warping directly to them. Especially useful for helping out new friends if they get lost or need help deep in the mines.

Stardew Valley mods: how to install them

How to install stardew valley mods.

Stardew Valley mod manager Stardrop interface showing different mods, profiles, and dependencies.

Adding mods to Stardew Valley can be very straightforward if there are only a couple you want to use. Many are installed just by placing the downloaded files in the "Mods" folder in your Stardew Valley directory. If you're playing through Steam, the default location is "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley". If you only want a couple handy mods, make sure to check the installation instructions and dependencies and then toss them in your mods folder. That's it!

Some mods might require some important foundational mods like SMAPI below. If you want to install quite a few mods, or switch back and forth between different groups of mods for different save files, the Stardrop mod manager is the handiest way to do so in 2024.

Stardew Modding API (SMAPI)

Mods that make more complex changes may require the "Stardew Modding API", or SMAPI for short. This is a community-made API that is frequently being updated and allows you to use DLL mods. You can download the latest version of SMAPI from its website and find a pretty thorough walkthrough on how to install it (and keep your Steam achievements enabled while using it) over on the Stardew Valley wiki . SMAPI does check for mod conflicts and updates, but if you want a really familiar feeling mod managing tool then you'll want to use Stardrop too.

Stardew Valley Content Patcher

Many current Stardew Valley mods are compatible with Content Patcher , a tool which loads a whole host of mods without changing the XNB files, making install and uninstall easier, as well as reducing the likelihood of conflicts between mods. Content Patcher can be unzipped into Stardew Valley's "mods" folder in the same location dictated above. You can then run Stardew Valley with SMAPI.

⭐ Stardrop mod manager

The open-source mod manager Stardrop is one of the easiest ways to manage big groups of mods. The open-source project is still in open beta but is already very familiar if you've used a community mod manager for other games. It lets you set up different profiles for easily swapping between mod groups, checks for updates, and incompatibility. You can follow along on getting started in its installation guide .

Stardew Valley: How to Fast Travel Around Town

Image of Yamilia Avendano

How to Fast Travel in Stardew Valley

maxresdefault

The Horse in Stardew Valley isn’t just a cutie to have around your farm, it’s also very useful in that you can move around way faster than you normally would. Hate running all over the place? Obviously you do, otherwise you wouldn’t have looked up how to fast travel in Stardew Valley. While it’s awesome that the map isn’t that small, it can be a bit of a pain. The horse alleviates this by making you even faster in your running around.

In order to get one, all you have to do is buy the Stable from Robin. A horse comes with it, which is good considering the hefty price of the stable. Oh, and don’t worry about leaving it hanging around as you wandered off adventuring. It knows how to get back home.

Six Stardew Valley Mods That Fit Perfectly Into The Vanilla Game

The game offers a huge list of mods, but some perfectly assimilate into the vanilla experience.

Google News

Story Highlights

  • These six Stardew Valley mods make you feel like they belong in the vanilla experience.
  • I have curated the list from many categories to expand the game in nearly every way possible.
  • You can grab these mods for a near-vanilla session, but many other options exist.

Stardew Valley is a hearty farming simulator that sees you starting a new journey on your grandfather’s farm. Making a place for yourself in Pelican Town is a soothing experience, but some game elements can soon become boring or lacking if you play it long enough.

That is where the mods step in. ConcernedApe’s passion project has an equally spirited community responsible for creating one of the best modding experiences in the gaming ecosystem. You can find a bit of everything in thousands of mods on sites like Nexus and Naver.

These Stardew Valley Mods Aren’t Anything To Sleep On

Yet, getting into modding can be nerve-wracking—especially for those trying to have a playthrough as close to vanilla as possible. I play with over 500 mods now, but as a new player, I started with just a few close-knit additions that helped me ease into the modding community. So, I have curated a list of six mods that will give you the same vanilla feel while expanding nearly all the essential facets of the title.

1. Stardew Valley Expanded — The Mighty Classic Expansion

The famous expansion is a timeless classic, influencing much of the modding community. It adds new NPCs, events, dialogues, and much more. SVE also changes the layout of Pelican Town and perfectly assimilates new content into the vanilla experience.

Stardew Valley Expanded Is An Enthralling Addition To The Base Game | Image Source: NexusMods

The mod is so popular that almost all the other major mods for the game have a separate compatibility pack to work with SVE. I also recommend you guys check out the Ridgeside Village and East Scarp expansions—they go well with this mod.

2. Tractor Mod To Help You Steward The Land

The end-game part of Stardew Valley is quite a treat because you control the game’s pace. However, a lack of tractors soon becomes abundant once your plot resembles a large farmland. This is where the Tractor Mod comes in; it adds an expensive tractor you can utilize while tending to your crops.

You can cut trees, harvest crops, and do a whole lot of other stuff. The mod allows you to control what the tractor can do via configuration settings in case it feels too overpowered. I find this an essential addition; surprisingly, this is not part of the vanilla experience.

3. Vibrant Pastoral Recolor — Make The Game Look More Warmer

Ever wondered why the game looks so saturated and bright to the eyes? The soil in Stardew Valley is so unnecessarily yellow, but the slew of recolor mods completely fix that dilemma. I personally use the Vibrant Pastoral Recolor mod because it preserves the original vibes while making the colors easier on the eyes. It also offers a separate SVE patch in case you use both together.

All the in-game seasons will feel more lifelike, as the mod adds a rustic feel and desaturates the visuals to better suit your playthrough.

4. Seasonal Clothing For All Your NPCs

The land of Pelican Town is rich in seasons. Yet, the residents never change clothes, irrespective of the season. It is completely off-putting once you start pondering this dilemma. Thankfully, the Seasonal Outfits mod completely mitigates this issue by giving each NPC a wide array of outfits.

Seasonal Outfits gives NPCs' portraits and sprites a new look every season | Image Source: Nexus Mods

The mod adjusts to the vanilla experience nicely without feeling out of place. It enhances the personality of each character and makes gameplay more realistic . Honestly, you even forget that it’s there because of how essential it feels.

5. Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion

If you are a player like me, it would seriously kill your interest, if the NPCs kept repeating the same dialog after pouring hours into the game. A bunch of NPC-specific and general dialogue expansion mods do resolve this problem. Out of all, I reckon the Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion feels the most natural and befitting of being in a simple playthrough.

Seasonal Outfits gives NPCs' portraits and sprites a new look every season | Image Source: Nexus Mods

It expands all the characters and adds dialogue for heart events and normal interactions to make interactions more immersive.

6. To-Dew — Jot Down Your Tasks In An In-Game Notepad

Last but not least, the To-Dew mod feels essential once you realize how much there is to do in this game. Since the days fly by, it becomes important to know what you want to achieve until the sun sets. This mod makes it easier to keep track of your personal records while doing your daily tasks.

To-Dew Is A Small Yet A Crucial Mod Needed For Your Playthroughs | Image Source: Nexus Mods

You can pre-plan your hours and pull up the sheet to remember special events —like the birthdays of special NPCs you may want to woo later on.

All in all, the cozy list is enough for a near-vanilla playthrough. These mods will only sprinkle in new content or enhance the existing ones without adding anything too eccentric. However, there are still many other mods that I suggest you scour on your own later after ending the game with these.

Thanks! Do share your feedback with us. ⚡

Stardew Valley: Every Parrot On Ginger Island And What They Unlock

Wondering what the parrots around Ginger Island do in Stardew Valley? Here, you can learn what secrets these parrots hold.

Quick Links

Island east, island south, island west, island north, volcano dungeon parrots, parrot express, what is the golden joja parrot.

Ginger Island is a late-game location in Stardew Valley that you can visit after completing the Community Center. Here, you can find tropical items, a few NPCs, and a challenging dungeon with valuable loot. While exploring, you'll also run into the Ginger Island parrots.

Stardew Valley: How To Visit Ginger Island For The First Time

These parrots 'block' areas of the island, but after forking over some Golden Walnuts , you can reach your destination. In this guide, we are going to take a look at every parrot that you can find on Ginger Island, and what they unlock.

Updated April 24, 2024 by Jacqueline Zalace: Parrots on Ginger Island can be quite helpful in your exploration. With the 1.6 update of Stardew Valley, you can now find a new parrot; the Golden Joja Parrot. We've added a new section for this shiny bird.

Leo's Hut - 1 Golden Walnut

The very first Ginger Island parrot that you should pay is the one inside Leo's Hut. This will be one of the first open locations on the island and is incredibly easy to find. Simply take the path on the right when getting out of the boat to enter the jungle. From there, proceed north to enter the hut.

This parrot will only cost you a single Golden Walnut, which can easily be harvested from a bush on the way.

Near The Turtle - 10 Golden Walnuts

The next major parrot that you can invest in is located on the beach near a turtle blocking the path that leads to the island farm . This parrot requests a one-time fee of ten Golden Walnuts .

Paying the fee will summon a swarm of parrots to persuade the turtle to settle down somewhere else and is an absolute must for those wanting to experience everything Ginger Island has to offer.

Resort - 20 Golden Walnuts

The resort is one of the last facilities that you will be able to unlock. It will allow the NPCs to visit the island to relax and will allow you to access a small section of the back connected to the resort area, called Pirate Cove . The parrot for the resort is located right in the middle of Island South.

You will need to unlock the farmhouse before having the option to build this resort.

Island Farm Upgrades - 25 Golden Walnuts

One of the biggest draws to the island is the new farm , which can grow any crop at any time of the year. Once the turtle is moved, you can access the farm, but the farmhouse will be in disrepair. To completely renovate the farm, three parrots will need to be paid.

The farmhouse is slightly smaller than the regular farmhouse but can be fully customized with wallpaper and decorations.

Trading Hut - 10 Golden Walnuts

The Trading Hut can be built at the beginning of the path to the Volcano Dungeon on the northern part of the island. A parrot sitting next to the wall where it's built will request ten Golden Walnuts.

This is an important facility to unlock as it carries island-only items and seeds for tropical crops.

You will need to unlock the farmhouse before having the option to build this store.

Bride Repair - 10 Golden Walnuts

Another smaller section of the island will be blocked off. This is found near an archeologist tent in the northern section of the island , right below the Volcano Dungeon. To repair the bridge and gain access to the dig site, you will need to pay the nearby parrot ten walnuts . Doing this will unlock the option to free Professor Snail and donate to the island collection.

There are two different parrots that can be given walnuts in the Volcano Dungeon .

Both of these parrots aren't necessary, as they just provide shortcuts that don't need to be used.

Around the island, there are small wooden huts that are part of the Parrot Express. One of these structures is above the island farm, where a parrot requesting ten Golden Walnuts will be perched. Paying him will unlock the island's fast travel system.

Above, you can see the Parrot Express locations at the Dig Site, Jungle (Island East), Beach (Island South), Farm (Island West), and Volcano Dungeon (Island North).

On the left side of the Volcano Dungeon, you can find the Golden Joja Parrot . By paying this parrot, it will find the remaining Golden Walnuts for you. This will cost you 10,000g per nut , which means tha t finding all 130 walnuts will cost 1,300,000g.

We don't recommend doing this if you have never had the experience of collecting Golden Walnuts . This is great if you just have one or two left, or alternatively, have already gathered them all in another save file.

Some of the numbers can fit 3 codes per name, others can only fit 2 codes, so you can get at least 2 of the fishes you need for each chicken named. Afterwards you can sell back the chicks. How To Get All The Secret Statues In Stardew Valley

  • Discover rare and bizarre statues in Stardew Valley through unique methods like fishing and solving secret notes.
  • Decorate your farm with plush Junimos and mysterious statues by following specific instructions and exploring hidden spots.
  • Uncover the ultimate prize, the Statue of Perfection, by completing Grandpa's evaluation and reaching 100% completion.

After playing Stardew Valley for a bit, you have probably gotten your mitts on that cute little Chicken Statue from Gunther at the Museum if you have ever donated the Chicken Statue artifact. There are far more statues to be found hidden in Stardew Valley, far stranger and rarer than any simple Chicken.

Stardew Valley: The Most Expensive Fish In The Game

Why did Concerned Ape go to all the trouble of creating several bizarre secret statues in their game? We might never know, but whether you are planning to start your very own collection of Stardew Valley secret items or just shopping for some home decorations, here is every secret statue and where to find them.

There are tons of statues in Stardew Valley; many of which can be crafted or purchased. This list will only go over the secret ones that have unique methods to obtain them.

Updated April 16, 2024 by Zoë J. Osik: We've updated this list to clarify where to find each statue and decoration that's hidden in Stardew Valley so that you can decorate to your heart's content!

What on earth is a Wumbus? We are not sure, but it is certainly very lumpy. This green, bumpy friend who only deems it necessary to wear white go-go boots can be won in the crane game inside the Movie Theater. To unlock the Movie Theater , you must have not only completed the Community Center but also the Missing Bundle located in the abandoned JojaMart.

During this same time period, you can find a matching Bobo statue.

Wumbus can be secured while the "Wumbus" movie is playing in theaters, during the Movie Theater's second year of business. How did they fit a whole statue inside a crane game? Perhaps it is best if we stop asking so many questions.

Solid Gold Lewis

Honestly, who doesn't want a solid gold statue of our dear Pelican Town mayor in their home? This 18-karat beaut can be located in town after finding "Secret Note #19". You will be able to find and read secret notes after meeting "Shadow Guy" otherwise known as our friend Krobus. They will give a Magnifying Glass that will allow you to read any notes you dig up or find in drops.

The blue house depicted in Secret Note #19 is actually 1 Willow Lane. Starting from there, follow the arrows in each direction indicated until you cannot move further. You will end up at none other than Mayor Lewis' house. Now his rather expensive-looking "secret project" is yours to put where you please.

Gourmand Statue

You have probably never seen this wise old frog. That is because it can only be found on Ginger Island in a secret fishing spot. On the east side of Island Southeast lies a hidden entrance to Pirate Cove .

Stardew Valley: Flower Dance Festival Guide

It is only within these pools that you can fish for the Gourmand Statue, though sadly you only have a five percent chance of catching this old sage yourself.

Iridium Krobus

A far more charming likeness to grace your abode than the Solid Gold Lewis statue, this purple Krobus statue is made from pure Iridium . Cast your line and fish this fellow up out of the ocean near Cindersap Forest. The ocean, you ask? Yes, the ocean is technically reachable from the southernmost area of Cindersap Forest.

To reach those depths though, you must have a total Fishing level of 15. This effect can be achieved by eating a gold-quality Seafoam Pudding prepared with Qi Seasoning once you have reached level ten Fishing and maxing out the casting meter of your fishing rod.

Stone Junimo

This stone cutie is the perfect reminder of all the hard work you are pouring into the Community Center. The location of the Stone Junimo statue can be found after discovering Secret Note #14.

Very fittingly, the Stone Junimo is located behind the Community Center, hidden by the building itself just beside the wooden fencing to the right. Strike the ground with a hoe or pickaxe to dig it up. Who buried this little statue out back behind the Community Center and why? We might never know.

Perhaps the rarest statue in the whole of Stardew Valley, not because it is difficult to find, per se, but because the Stone Owl statue only spawns at random.

As you tend to your farm, you have a 0.5 percent chance of hearing the hoot of an owl before you tuck into bed. In the morning, you will find this stoic friend squatting somewhere on your farm. It is one of the rarest events in Stardew Valley , and especially unique because, unlike other events which spawn items, the Stone Owl can even appear twice.

??Foroguemon??

There is something about the name "??Foroguemon??" which inspires immediate reverence, if not a touch of trepidation. A slouching, lizard-like creature, this bizarre statue can be found in an even more peculiar fashion.

Stardew Valley: 13 Best Clothing Mods

If you were to place a Strange Bun within Vincent's toy chest at 1 Willow Lane, who should appear but the Foroguemon statue. You can pick it up and parade it around town, or just bring it back home. It sure does make an interesting centerpiece.

We hear you. What does "??HMTGF??" stand for? What is a "??HMTGF??". Why does it look like Gonzo from the Muppets crossed with Bender from Futurama? These are all great questions.

By the Blacksmith's shop, you can find a brown box inside a small fenced area. Sneakily, the entrance to the enclosure is tucked away behind a tree to the right. Place a little Super Cucumber into the box, and boom. ??HMTGF??.

??Pinky Lemon??

It is almost as if Concerned Ape is asking us... is it Pinky? Is it Lemon? It is unclear how we are supposed to understand any better than them, but this Dr. Seuss-looking critter is just another secret statue to be found in Stardew Valley by placing a random item inside an even more strange location.

Stardew Valley: 15 Best Crops To Grow In The Greenhouse

Get yourself a jar of Duck Mayonnaise and make your way down to the Stardrop Saloon. It is a little tough to see, but there is a purple box tucked away in the back room. Plop that mayo inside, and you too can wonder out loud, "what the heck is a Pinky Lemon??".

Statue Of Perfection

The ultimate prize, beyond simply restoring the Community Center, or even marrying your Pelican Town crush , is this purple bear statue. Why you might ask? The Statue Of Perfection is your reward for passing "Grandpa's Evaluation" after toiling on the farm for three years.

When you reach 100 percent completion for Stardew Valley , you will receive the Statue of True Perfection, which gives you one Prismatic Shard a day.

If all four candles on Grandpa's Shrine are lit by the end of your third year, according to how well you have tended the farm and the community, Grandpa will bestow on you the Statue Of Perfection. Far more than just a symbol of your deceased grandfather's approval from beyond the grave, the Statue Of Perfection also produces between two to eight pieces of Iridium Ore each day.

Junimo Plush

Junimos are adorable creatures, and decorating your farm with a massive plush version of the iconic little green sprite is a must. You'll first learn of it through Secret Note #13 . While it's definitely meant to resemble the magical junimos, it also looks like a big green apple.

It's best to get to the location early, as you'll miss the plush if once the clock strikes 12:10.

Regardless, it's cute and decorative. Put it in your bedroom or somewhere on your farm to add a touch of plush whimsy. Anyone who loves the junimos will want to add this to their collection.

Strange Capsule

Lastly, we have the Strange Capsule. This isn't quite a statue, but it's worth including, as it functions the same. After the first year on your farm, there is a 0.8 percent chance that the capsule will appear on your farm.

The item will initially be called the Strange Capsule, with "something fleshy bobbing around in the fluid". After three days, the capsule will be empty, with some of the glass broken. Once broken, you have a one percent chance of spotting a mysterious figure during the night. The capsule has no practical use, but you can use it as decoration, similar to how you use the other hidden statues.
