Great for a quick bite near the metro. Grabbed a quick crepe, panini, sandwich.... Surprisingly, they wanted us to come inside & order the same thing again from the table for twice the price. We went back to the window and ordered again our quick snack, we were surprised that the crepes were pre made not fresh. We sat across the street on a park bench enjoying it.
Service is stellar. A real chef making fresh plats du jour, homemade pasta and consistently delicious dishes. Don't miss the lasagne and the house made cocoa rhum. Lots to see here on a busy corner with abundant outdoor seating. They couldn't be more friendly! A+++
Located in a very easily accessible part of Paris, we were walking around late after exploring the Louvre area looking for something easy and we found this. There was ample space outside on the terrace which was what we were looking for as tourists in Paris. We ordered a cheese board to share which came with ample cheese selections and their escargot was beyond amazing. Main dishes did not disappoint and were plentiful. The price was reasonable and the ambiance was what we were looking for. Would come back!

We stopped by La Tour Maubourg to wait out the rain. We ordered a beer, an espresso, and a Nutella crepe to share. It was during an off-hour (late afternoon), so the restaurant was relatively empty, and the waitress was having her own lunch. It was a nice spot to sit and wait out the rain.
Nutella Crepe & Espresso
I'm giving this restaurant one star because none isn't an option. Lots of options on the menu, but had no paninis or pancakes the day we went. So we settled for an open sandwich and promptly found a hair in it when we started to eat. We ate around it, only to have a mouse run by our sight of view. That was enough for us to decide that cleanliness was not a priority at this restaurant and decided to leave. Unfortunately this must be a regular occurrence because the waitress was unphased by the hair or the mouse and still required we pay our tab. I would never go back and do not recommend.
To be fair, I am not a fan of cheese. Otherwise, I may give it 4 stars. However, I did not lower the rating for the "uncomfortable" seats that we had - a small table on a rainy day. The food was okay and the service was good. We had our lunch there but could not finish all the cheeses.
A great experience. Our waiter was so friendly and welcoming. We arrived after walking from Les Invalides and were hungry and thirsty. It was about 1 pm. Just found out our waiter was Luis. He was also multilingual, speaking Spanish to the Spanish-speaking patrons, English to use, and of course, French. My ham and cheese sandwich on a baguette was exactly what I wanted. Why can no one in America make a good baguette. I am very happy. Prices were reasonable as well.
We stopped for just 1 bottle of wine before heading to the Eiffel Tower. Only 1 waiter for inside and outside the restaurant who somehow managed to provide great service! 2 bottles of wine, crepes and a Castilian band later, we left fully satisfied and content.
Everything was wrong from the moment we entered. It was starting to drizzle and we were tired from exploring the city. We went inside instead of eating outdoors - 1st sign it smelled like a sewer inside. We decided to overlook it and ordered to beers. One of the beers had a thick film (hopefully malt) that made us both feel really uneasy. Minutes after ordering the meals the food was brought out. My friend had the plate full hour which was made of beef and mashed potatoes, all of the "beef" was mostly nerves and inedible. My friend tried her best to separate the meat but then during one of the chews she bit into something hard (hopefully we think it's plastic but she said it reminded her of a tooth) we told our waitress again and she proceeded to bring us our check. We didn't argue and paid for 2 meals one which was barely touched and mine that I was forcing down bc I was hungry but regret it now.
Plate du jour - meat and potatoes
Hopefully just a hard piece of plastic found inside the meat found during chewing.
Directly across the street from our hotel, Cafe Latour Maubourg ( Brasserie LM ) provided a fantastic breakfast to help fuel us for a busy day of sightseeing Trying out my less than remedial French, we muddled through our order of cheese omelets & lattes Sitting outside on our sunny morning, it was nice to watch the people walking by, the vendors greeting each other as they were rushing off to their shops & other local diners enjoying their fare Omelets were among the best I've ever had - nice buttery, with a caramely-browned, outside & stringy pulls of cheese at each bite. The eggs were fluffy & extremely tasty & the ratio of cheese to egg was just perfect Accompanied a side salad and the best tangy dressing - it was the perfect pairing for our omelet Coffees were milky & strong & hit the spot Also saw a little window on the side of the building offering sandwiches for takeaway ( not sure if it was the same restaurant but it looked like it was ) & there was a line.....which is always a good indicator it's delish Would make this a repeat visit & would love to check out their dinner options when next in the area

La Tour Maubourg
Ratings and reviews, location and contact.
Went here with my girlfriend. I ate a steak and she a hamburger. My steak was served perfectly. The hamburger was a bit dull to eat but ok for being Paris I would say. The waiter working there during our lunch was extremely polite and... helpful. That made the experience even better. Would revisit the restaurant if get the chance. More
We stopped for dinner. The place looked very nice. The staff was very friendly. We got our food and drinks in a decent amount of time. The only problem was that my chicken was undercooked. I felt grossed out when I realized it wasn’t cooked... all the way and just left it. The other dishes had no flavor. More
Average experience. Because of its location this is very touristic place so I do not thing they aim to excel at food. It is a good place if you want to eat something right now, if not look for something else as food is quite... average. More
The server gave us the wrong food and then made us feel like we were in the wrong when it came and we asked for our correct order. Calamari is deep fried and very processed. Dessert was stale. Waste of an evening in Paris.
We came here last year with family and really enjoyed it and wanted to return this year. But the special for the day was steak salad and mashed potatoes. I was a little nervous about ordering steak because I was concerned it would be tough.... This is not a steakhouse after all. But the steak was tender and juicy and done, perfectly medium rare as I had asked. I was very pleased. My husband had vegetable lasagna and said it was very good. The restaurant was packed with people, including many locals. Our server was very friendly and accommodating.. We plan to go back tomorrow night. More
As I was running some errands, my husband stopped at La Tour Maubourg Brasserie for a happy hour beer. He ordered a beer, to which the server suggested he get a 1664, which was supposed to be €6.50. When my husband went to pay, the... gentleman charged him €10.80 and insisted that he had been given a different beer, that was conveniently not on the happy hour menu. When I reiterated that my husband had ordered, and received a 1664, the employee continued to lie right to our faces, despite the fact that he had been the one to suggest a 1664 in the first place!! We are in Paris regularly, and my husband knows the difference between a 1664, and other beers. There are a million other wonderful cafes, run by honest proprietors - stay away from this one. Scammers! More
The coffee with milk was one of the worst I had ever drunk. Just water tasting of coffee with foam (not sure it was milk on top) . The service was rude but the crepe was good. The ice cream very average and came melted.
We had a bad experience at this restaurant. Had the most rude waitress that pretty much ruined our meal. We couldn’t decide if she hated Americans in general or just hated us! The food wasn’t bad, but her ignoring us completely with dirty looks and... all(from the time we sat down), wasn’t pleasant. There are SO many great restaurants in Paris, I would definitely skip this one. More
I had steak here and could not eat it! It was like chewing through a spider web of hard fat. Literally could not cut it! Sadly not knowing good enough french and our waitress not knowing much english, i didnt feel i could complain. Ate... the edges and just the chips and went home hungry as didnt want to give them any more money by ordering pudding. There was also a large man who might of been a manager looming over us making us feel uncomfortable and watching the tv screen next to us. More
To start off in all fairness the waiter was nice and we did have adequate wine and cheese (2 thing they can't screw up) But when it came to the food all I can say is it was an offense to the legendary reputation of... French food everywhere! The French Onion soup was horrid!!!! The soup was f****** greenish-yellow! It was so bad that we barely even touched it. I looked like someone with a urinary tract infection peed in the bowl. It tasted so bad that it makes cheap canned soup taste gourmet. Then the steaks... or should I call them hockey pucks????? We all order the steaks which to start off were small. They were all ordered medium rare, but were so over done that a steak knifes could barely cut them! It was also bland, if no one told me I couldn't have even guessed that it was steak. The steaks did come with a pepper corn sauce on the side, but it looked and tasted putrid. Also the steaks were extremely fatty. ( I attached photos of the steak and sauce) So for 3 steaks 2 soups 3 glasses of wine and some cheese we paid 110 euros or about $160. All I can say is don't waste your time More
This place exists to serve tourists (I saw no French people eating there), and it's clear the management has a low opinion of its clientele's tastes. Do yourself a favor and give this place a miss. We went in for breakfast, and ordered the typical... continental breakfast: coffee, croissant, bread, butter, jam, orange juice. The coffee was so-so, the baked goods likewise but presented with no care, just dumped on a plate and plopped down in front of us. The jam was very inferior, the kind that's a sticky, over sweet goo made of corn syrup, food coloring, and artificial flavoring. Everywhere else we had orange juice in Paris, including the cafe directly across the street from this one, the orange juice was fresh-squeezed to order. Here, it was the nasty stuff that comes in a bottle, with added sugar, coloring, and artificial flavoring. The waiter was going to give us a glass of it that had been sitting on the counter, but he saw me watching and drank that one himself, pouring me a "fresh" glass. It probably wasn't any better than the stuff that had been sitting around. There are many places to eat in Paris. There's no reason to eat at this place no matter how hungry you are. More
I've been visiting this restaurant with my husband, friends and family. The menu has a lot to offer, and reasonably priced. The food were tasty, desserts were delicious, and the ambiance is great for a cafe. The menu are in both english and french, and... the waiter speaks english. Definitely a go for your introduction to french bistro food. More
After getting a coffee and a hot chocolate, the owner asked us to leave as the restaurant part was starting (we were a group of 6 people) ...unpleasant but fair enough. However try to take a napkin in paper before to leave in order to... have one in your pocket for the cold weather. I was shouted at by the owner saying to me I have to ask and that they pay for this regular napkins. Maybe he had forgotten that we had just pay also for outpriced coffees and hot chocolates...Terrific when you try to show your city to a brazilian, an italian, an american and an english. More
Horribly rude staff and I could not pay by pin if you don’t spend 10 euro or more (is this the stoneage?) Go somewhere else
We visited by chance as we were hunting down an eatery close to Les Invalides. We found the service to be friendly and unpretentious and the food simple but delicious. This is not sophisticated dining, but a Brasserie which does what it says on the... tin, and does it well. An excellent experience all around. More

Café La Tour Maubourg
After visiting Fondation Calouste Gulbenkian - Delegation en France , you may have a meal at this restaurant. The key aspect of La Tour Maubourg is the French cuisine. Try nicely cooked beef , tuna and salads . Many visitors of this place note that good crepes , fruitcake and che are served here. Order delicious beer or good cordial . This spot will offer you great espresso or delicious americano .
This restaurant is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Most guests highlight that the dishes have affordable prices. The fancy decor and peaceful ambiance let clients feel relaxed here. But La Tour Maubourg hasn't got a high rating from Google users.

Boutique Hotel, well designed rooms and very clean! The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful!! The decor is lovely, with areas to enjoy breakfast, drinks and lounge. We truly enjoyed the private spa which is included in your stay.
Nice size room Excellent bathroom. It has a old time charm to it , which I enjoyed very much. Location was excellent. Very quiet , safe , and clean neighborhood. Walking distance of the Eiffel Tower area and restaurants.
The hotel is very charming, clean, and the staff was incredible.
Absolutely fantastic stay. Great Location. Room was very clean. Spa in the basement was an added surprise. Hotel staff could not have been nicer. Theo worked the desk the majority of our stay and was absolutely the best. Easy check in and out. Highly recommended.
Great location, got a little champagne for my birthday, staff is just amazing. And spa… so wonderful after all day walking:)
Perfect location and absolutely excellent staff. Everyone went above and beyond to help make our stay smooth and lovely.
Room was lovely and large. On the ground floor with a view of the gardens across the street. Staff was so kind and accommodating. The fun girls trip across the hall was able to accommodate 3 with an extra mattress that was brought in. I was traveling with my daughter and I will definitely stay there again with my other daughter knowing they will accommodate a third in such a lovely and large room.
Location is great. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was comfy.

Tour-Maubourg
Tour-Maubourg is a leading light in France’s thriving underground music scene. He has been an entrenched part of Pont Neuf Records ever since the label’s inception, his releases have cast him as one of the country’s most exciting producers of the genre in recent years. From spearheading France’s jazz-house and electronica scenes, to amassing millions of Spotify streams for lauded tracks such as Ode To Love, Manhattan To Brooklyn and Artifice, he is a flag bearer for modern French music. Reminiscent of St Germain from years gone by, his maiden album – Paradis Artificiels – received critical acclaim upon its release in 2020. Add to that a fast-emerging touring schedule that has seen him play throughout France, or in London and Berlin amongst others, to see that 2022 has been a

Tour-Maubourg battles tinnitus by producing more records: “I had to keep making music to forget its existence“
The French producer explains how tinnitus tied into his album Spaces of Silence and how moving back to Brussels evoked more intimate emotive music.
Moving back to his old stomping grounds from Paris to his grandparents’ house in Brussels – a nostalgic “madeleine de Proust bubble” where he made music as a teenager – jazz and house producer Tour-Maubourg powered up his old gear and set out creating his latest album, Spaces of Silence. Environmental and process-based changes and reconnecting with old sights, smells and feelings, he tells MusicTech about how he was drawn to making “more personal emotions and melodies.”

Maubourg’s battle with tinnitus became one of the key themes of the record. That explains the album’s title, which alludes to being unable to hear silence, as such. He says music has become one of the few ways to block out uncontrollable tinnitus, with the loud music that once caused the condition now becoming its brief bittersweet saviour.
Asides from the album’s themes, Maubourg dives deep into his favourite gear, both in Brussels and in Paris, which includes deliciously vintage synthesizers, a beloved Eventide H3000SE harmonizer and all manner of drool-worthy hardware.
Hi Tour-Maubourg. Tell us about how tinnitus tied into this record.
A few years back I developed tinnitus after listening to loud music and I still carry this hiss with me on a constant basis.
In the beginning, it felt like torture and truly made me reconsider a career in music – my main worry being, ‘what if it gets worse as I keep playing in clubs and producing music?’. My first reaction was to stop any type of loud sound from reaching my ears, so I stopped all my musical activities. As a result, the tinnitus started to take more and more space in my thoughts and I quickly realised that the precautions I was taking were only making things worse. I had to keep making music to forget its existence. Unfortunately, the tinnitus never left and I still hear it every day – except when I make music, as it gets blurred into the sounds surrounding me. In some way, music became a space of silence for me, which gave me the idea for the album’s name.
You went back home to Belgium and set up a studio space for this album. How did that affect your production process?
If I had to define the way these studio changes affected my music, there would be two.
First, the house in which I installed my studio used to be my grandparents’ house in Brussels (and my grandfather still lived there at the time). It is filled with memories from my childhood and my teenage years. Also, my grandparents have always been a very important part of my life. They are people for whom I have great admiration because of where they come from and the things they accomplished in their life.
It isn’t easy for me to put into words these emotions I felt, but it was like living in a “madeleine de Proust bubble”. Producing and composing in this very intimate time shuttle made me want to express more personal emotions and melodies. I wanted to find myself.
When I left for Belgium, I left all my musical partners and friends in Paris, which resulted in a somehow forced musical isolation. It allowed me to be a lot more alone with myself, without all the noise of my daily life.
Secondly, I went from producing in a co-rented studio to having a studio in my bedroom. I managed to move with most of my gear but the studio was set up differently. It was a little more DAW-centred, as I was sitting constantly in front of my screen instead of my mixer. It didn’t affect my recording process as all my synths were still hooked to the mixer, then going into my interface, but it made me record things quicker, and start building sections immediately instead of getting stuck on the same loop for hours.
Tell us a bit more about the bedroom studio.
In Belgium, it’s located in my bedroom in my grandparent’s house in Ixelles (a commune of Brussels). I was literally sleeping between cables and synths (and my girlfriend too – but she’s kind) so it was really a return to my early adult years when I didn’t have a proper studio space.
How did you use the gear in your setup?
That’s a tough question. In terms of logistics, we have a bunch of synths and drum machines and hardware effects and sound processors all plugged into a Midas mixer. The mixer master outputs go into Universal Audio Apollo inputs 1/2 and two groups of the Midas are hooked to a Scarlett 18I20 that is itself plugged in via ADAT to the Apollo ADAT input.
So really, the mixer is the centre of the studio. It’s right in front of the speakers, all the synths and outboard effects are accessible through sends or insert cables, and the idea is to be able to jam and play every synth in the room at the same time if I feel like it.
Most of the time I do the mixing as I edit it in Ableton Live , mostly adding EQs, panning, adding a main room and hall reverb, and trying to balance the sound right. Often, I process the drums as a group adding pre-amps such as the Soundtoys Radiator. If I have to record more ‘artistic’ effects like dub delays or send a snare in through a reverb, I love using outboard effects. My interface’s outputs are connected to a stereo track on the mixer and I can then add whatever I want by recording only the wet signal.
Once I’ve edited and mixed the track for the first time, it’s usually late and I have to leave the studio to catch the last metro. I listen to the track a few times on various sound systems and then come back to the studio a few days later to correct the mix.
What atmosphere do you try and create in the studio?
I try as much as I can to be in a cosy, slightly dark but colourful environment. I try to create a mood in which I can escape, almost spiritually. I use a lot of dim lights, incense, essential oils etc. to make the place as comfortable and dreamy as possible.
What is your favourite piece of gear?
A friend recently lent me his MFB Tanzbär, and I am dying to buy it from him. From the first time I started playing around with it, I fell in love. It has such an organic and gentle yet powerful sound. You can create heavy loops just as much as a gentle bossa nova rhythm. Its sequencer is powerful too.
What synth or effect can be heard the most on your new release?
Definitely my Eventide H3000SE. There is a little bit of him everywhere on this record. Whether it’s just a chorus, a room or a delay, it is an incredible machine. It is, to me, one of the most artistic-sounding multi-effect units I’ve heard. It just makes the world a better place. If I could, I would probably process my life through it.
What is your dream piece of gear?
Probably a Roland RE-201 Space Echo . It isn’t a very expensive dream, but it just sounds incredibly good.
What is your top piece of production advice?
When building a track, often less is more. When you are stuck, it’s better to take away stuff, add them again later, and then add more layers.
What is the one piece of advice you would give someone starting out building a studio?
Building a studio is time- and money-consuming, but it is extremely rewarding. And don’t think you need all the best gear; buy gear you like and that you feel works for you. A €200 synth with a lot of character is better to me than a €2500 beast that everyone has. Little by little, you’ll end up with something personal and it will reflect in your music.
