Dream Theater have announced the Summer 2023 North American “Dreamsonic” tour with support from fellow prog-metal acts Devin Townsend and Animals As Leaders .

Dates kick off June 16th in Cedar Park, Texas, and run through July 26th in Phoenix.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins tomorrow (April 13th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code VINYL . General ticket sales begin Friday (April 14th) at 10 a.m. local time. You can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out gigs via StubHub — where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

The inaugural “Dreamsonic” tour package is being billed as “Dream Theater’s very own prog-metal music festival,” according to guitarist John Petrucci , who adds that it will be the first edition of an annual prog-centric traveling festival curated by the band.

“The lineup for our inaugural run this summer features Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, and Animals As Leaders and is going to be absolutely epic!” Petrucci remarked via the band’s press statement. “‘Dreamsonic’ promises to be a reoccurring musical event that will deliver history-making nights of amazing music for many years to come! You’re not going to want to miss this one!”

Devin Townsend and Animals As Leaders have been tapped to support Dream Theather on the band's upcoming North American "Dreamsonic 2023" Tour.

Devin Townsend, Haken & The Contortionist Announce North American Tour

Devin Townsend has set the dates for his upcoming North American tour with Haken and The Contortionist . Townsend is approaching his upcoming touring on his latest album “ Empath ” as different ‘volumes’ with different groups of musicians expected to join him as his backing band across the upcoming treks (more on that here .)

After successfully completing his North American tour with CHILDREN OF BODOM , OBSCURA and SEPTICFLESH , Canadian musician/producer Devin Townsend will now be traveling abroad for the rest of the summer, playing various European festivals and solo acoustic dates but come October, he'll be back in the States for another tour.

THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT will be hitting the road this fall on a headlining tour (support acts will soon be announced),so fans can expect even more Hevy Devy this time around! Dates for the tour are listed below, and Canadian dates will be announced soon! Townsend released "Deconstruction" and "Ghost" the third and fourth in a series of albums to be made available under DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT moniker on June 21 (one day earlier internationally) via InsideOut Music .

"Deconstruction" and "Ghost" complete Devin 's tetralogy album concept a great journey through Townsend 's different states of musical moods which he started in 2009 with the albums "Addicted" (2009) and "Ki" (2009).

Townsend has announced the first two special shows in U.K. for November 2011 for a unique DVD recording.

On his recent mostly sold-out European tour, Devin already performed some of the new material and if you have followed Devin through his career, you will know that he is always up for pushing the limits to higher levels. After releasing "Deconstruction" and "Ghost" , Devin Townsend will return to London U.K. in November 2011 to play a set of very special shows dedicated to his four-album concept and which will be captured live on DVD.

DEVIN TOWNSEND ‘Empath’ North American Tour Kicks Off Next Month; New Video Trailer Released

Following a run of dates in Europe and the UK, Canadian heavy music artist Devin Townsend  is set to begin his ‘Empath’ tour in North America beginning next month, Feb 2020. The tour kicks off Feb 26 th in Montreal and concludes March 25 th in San Francisco. Alternating as main support on the tour are InsideOut Music label mates Haken , who will be reprising their run as support on the European leg, along with American progressive metal band The Contortionist . Empath Volume 1 North American Tour

It is with immense disappointment that I have been put in the position to announce the postponement of the remaining dates on my Empath Vol. 1 North American Tour due to Corona Virus.

With the travel ban In effect from Europe and the consequent chaos that has brought to travel plans, as well as the increasing social unrest, combined with the fact that half of this crew is either European or from the UK, it put us in a tenuous position. Several of the dates have been cancelled by the state, and I suspect many more to come.

This is a postponement, not a cancellation. And your support has been tremendous thus far. The best it’s been in North America. Thank you and immense apologies to those who were looking forward to it.

Also, apologies to our fantastic crew and incredible band for the loss of income.

Thank you for your patience and sorry for the short notice. This came up overnight in a chaotic flurry of new information.
