Join us for a fully guided day tour, exploring the highlights of Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park - the best of reef and range, all in one day. The tour includes a guided hike at Yardie Creek Gorge, a guided snorkel experience at Turquoise Bay, freshly prepared picnic lunch at Milyering Visitor Centre and a photo opportunity at Vlamingh Head Lighthouse

Do you love snorkelling as much as we do? Join us to explore some of Ningaloo’s best shore-based snorkel sites (a shore-based snorkel site is where you walk off the beach to enter the water, as opposed to entering the water from a boat or kayak). On this tour you will visit Turquoise Bay along with one other site – Oyster Stacks or Lakeside. Your guide will choose which sites to visit, based on the conditions on the day.

Journey back in time as we explore the history of the Exmouth region, from the traditional owners, to the first pastoralists, WWII and American history, right through to the present day. The spectacular Charles Knife Gorge, Krait memorial, Jurabi Turtle Centre & Vlamingh Head Lighthouse are some of the sites that you will visit on this tour.

Join Us for a once in a life time experience

From April to July, we invite you to join us on the Ningaloo Reef for a once in a lifetime experience ‘Swim with Whale sharks in Exmouth’, one of the most majestic creatures in the vast Indian Ocean off the Western Australian coast. From May to September, you’ll also get the chance to snorkel with the ballerinas of the seas, Manta Rays. From June til September/October the Humpback Whales will make their migration along our coastline and for those on our Whale shark Humpback Whale Eco Tours from the 1 st August – September the opportunity to swim with them is available with Kings Ningaloo Reef Tours.

Our Vessel, The Magellan

Kings Ningaloo Reef Tours boast a 20-metre vessel, The Magellan, which is considered to be one of the biggest and best charter boats operating on the Ningaloo Reef via Exmouth. The Magellan is comfortable with a spacious shaded deck, low marlin board with stairs for entering and exiting the water, and environmentally friendly facilities.

Have just arrived back from a day with kings ningaloo reef tours and want to say what an awesome time we had. being an almost snorkelling virgin the crew gave very clear instructions and made sure i was comfortable with every step and we all were able to swim with the whale sharks on the second last day of their season. without their support this may not have happened for me. i would highly recommend this tour., peggy - australia, this was an amazing trip the crew were wonderful, friendly, efficient, professional and made our day extraordinary. i was very impressed by the efficiency of the operation, everything was super organised and easy to follow. their extra touches are the icing on the cake. swimming with two different whale sharks was an experience of a lifetime. thank you for an awesome day., ricardo - germany, very well organized trip. top crew, very helpful and attentive. everything included, care, breakfast, lunch, material in very good condition. several snorkeling units so everyone could see the election shark. we also saw turtles, whales and dolphins. the snorkeling on the reef with the current was also great. professional photos for free, which were sent the next day. we were with 4 children on board. these were also well looked after. funny crew. time was not an issue, the main thing we could enjoy the day., sandrine - france, to recommend, a unique experience, a team at the top, thank you in particular to alana for his help without whom the experience would not have been so great (even the less good swimmers can enjoy :-)) we had the chance to see ray manta, whale and whale shark the day was great, the little ones more the meal and the snacks (swim it digs), and the photos that are sent by email and which keeps nice memories without hesitation choose this company for the good mood and the professionalism of the crew thank you for this day of august 14..

We were later in the season but got to swim with a whale shark towards the end of the day, which was an incredible experience. During the rest of the day we managed to see over 25 humpbacks, a huge pod of dolphins, three orcas, two sea snakes and turtles. The trip was very well organised and professional we were all clearly informed about what was happening . The staff were exceptional from Captain Brad, Fleur, Emma, Maddy, and Kate the photographer. The staff had a lot of energy and knowledge on the reef and whale sharks. The whole crew were comfortable to talk to all customers and answer any questions they might have had. The captain was able to spot out a number of the reef wildlife i.e. turtles, dolphins, humpback whales, etc. and took the boat within a safe distance so everyone could see. Our child was only 8 and while he was perfectly fine on the reef, when we swam with the whale shark the first time he was a scared and the crew managed the situation exceptionally and took him onto the zodiac and then the boat. There was a mix of hot and cold food and there was plenty to go around for everyone. The boat was very comfortable and clean with a great top deck for viewing the inner reef. I had emailed them to say I was travelling internationally and rushing to make this tour and they didn't have the courtesy of giving advanced notice. They rebooked us with another company for the following day and we had to chase them up to refund the $75 price difference. Teresa was extremely rude and unpleasant to deal with. From pickup at our accommodation to drop off at the end of the day, the crew were attentive and did everything they could to ensure it was a memorable experience. The boat is comfortable and perfect for the activity. Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon fruit tray was plentiful and tasty. Whilst waiting for a whaleshark to be spotted, we cruised the reef and saw many humpback whales up close and several turtles. Whaleshark season had just finished, so there weren't many about. Just when we thought we would miss out, we had success and topped off a great day with an incredible experience. Swimming with a whaleshark is something you must do if you get the opportunity. Special thanks to "No Bananas" Brad for persevering and coming up with the goods and all the crew who carried out their jobs with professionalism and care, Leah, Fleur, Cat and Ken. ​WHALE WATCHING, SNORKELLING TOURS AND MORE IN NINGALOO REEF’S CORAL BAY

If you want to see the underwater wonders of Ningaloo’s Coral Bay as clearly as if you were right next to them, why not consider boats with glass bottoms? They’re a fantastic way to observe the splendid aquatic landscape while staying comfortable and dry. Coral Bay Ecotours’ glass bottom boat tours grant visitors an immersive view of the interesting coral formations and marine life from the convenient environment of our spacious eco-vessel, Nhanya Ku.

The name of this glass-bottomed boat is derived from the Yamatji languages of the Baiyungu people (the traditional occupants of the beautiful Exmouth, Coral Bay and Ningaloo region). It means ‘to gaze upon’, which is certainly what you’ll be doing, either through the windows at your feet, or over the side of the boat into the pristine coastal waters.

1 HOUR CORAL VIEWING

With its very shallow draft, spacious layout and superior design our glass bottom boat, Nhanya-Ku, is perfect for taking you over the beautiful coral formations found in the lagoon gardens of the inner reef. Our one hour Coral Viewing may be the perfect tour for you to experience all the wonderful  fish and different coral formations without having to get in the water. Whilst on board, our knowledgeable crew gives an informative talk about the many things you’re seeing under the glass.

Child passengers are defined as being an age of 6 years old to 16 years old. 17 year old passengers are defined as adults. Family prices refer to 2 adults and 2 children between 6 and 16 years old. Children 5 years and under at the time of tour are Free of Charge (FOC) EXCEPT when swimming with whale shark s, manta rays or humpback whales. In these cases, the child will be charged at child prices. All minors must be accompanied by parents or guardians AT ALL TIMES who are entirely responsible for their care. Children must n ot be left unattended by parents or guardians on any tour boat or whilst in the water at any time.

With a maximum of 10 guests aboard Wave Rider, our luxury vessel, our Turtle Eco Adventure Tour, is an affordable half-day excursion that immerses you in the vibrant underwater world of Ningaloo Reef. 

Guided by our experienced crew, jump into the warm lagoon waters alongside the gentle sea turtles and other colourful reef inhabitants for a snorkelling adventure. 

Your Turtle Eco Adventure takes place in the Ningaloo Lagoon, a snorkeler’s paradise with an average depth of between two and four metres. We start with a relaxing cruise before a snorkel in the pristine lagoon waters. Floating above the coral reef, you’ll witness the stunning diversity of tropical fish, molluscs, and corals that call this protected nursery home.

While we take care of most essentials, there are a few creature comforts you should bring along to make your adventure even more amazing. Remember to pack light, it’s a boat adventure day.

While we like to think we’re the best at what we do, some things, like the weather, sea state, customer ability, wildlife location, etc., are occasionally out of our control. Every once in a while, this itinerary might change.

Because we keep our tours small, we’re pretty flexible. We will always try to take what’s on offer naturally on the Ningaloo Reef and make the most of the day at hand. We’ll always deliver the best tour we can. 

Below is a sample Turtle Eco Adventure Tour itinerary.

The day before your tour: Hydrate, avoid alcohol in excess and chill – you’re going to have an action-packed day, so prepare accordingly!

Jump out of bed , splash your face with water, and get a nutritious breakfast. You’re about to have one of the most exciting days of your life!

Live Ningaloo’s complimentary shuttle service will collect you from your accommodation. (Make sure you’ve let us know where you’re staying). For a complete list of where to pick up locations and times, check out our FAQs .

After a 30-minute informative drive with our crew, you’ll arrive at Tantabiddi Boat Ramp on the west side. This is where we keep Wave Rider.

Once we’re all on board and briefed by our Skipper, you’ll be kitted out with your outfit for the day—a mask, snorkel, fins and a wetsuit (if you haven’t brought your own).

After you’re squeezed into your wetsuit and looking fabulous, we’ll head to our first snorkel spot for the day (location is weather and sea state dependant). You can expect to see coral, fish and perhaps even stingrays, turtles and more if you’re lucky! This is also an excellent opportunity to test out your equipment for the day and ensure everything fits and there are no leaks!

Hop back on Wave Rider for a warm cup of tea or coffee and a light snack. The day is just beginning!

We’ll take a lagoon cruise to look for the next place to snorkel , and on the way, try to spot mating turtles and megafauna inside the lagoon (dugongs, sting rays, tiger sharks, dolphins, eagle rays, etc.)

It’s time for your second snorkelling session of the day. Variety is the goal here. Throughout the day, you’ll see carpets of coral reef, curtains of swimming fish, and striking sand beds next to bommie reef.

Relax on a lagoon cruise back to shore.

Live Ningaloo’s complimentary shuttle service will take you back into Exmouth Township and drop you at your accommodation. Can someone say “ best day ever ”?
