“I am beyond excited to be bringing my world tour to Australia, it’s been way too long, but I promise, we are going to have one heck of a party,” Lipa said in a statement announcing the news.

How to get tickets for Olivia Rodrigo’s 2024 Sydney tour: presale, prices and everything you need to know

Good for us! Olivia Rodrigo is bringing her Guts World Tour to Sydney

Ashleigh Hastings

Fire up the group chat, because Sydney’s year of the big name musical girlies just upped its game. We kicked off 2024 with appearances from her highness Taylor Swift , followed by a recent royal visit from SZA . Just last week Billie Eilish revealed a massive Aussie tour, and now we’re feeling all kinds of ‘deja vu’ thanks to a fresh announcement from pop princess Olivia Rodrigo.

Now is the time to dig your converse out of your wardrobe and your youthful angst up from the depths of your heart, because Olivia Rodrigo is officially bringing her Guts World Tour to Sydney in spring 2024. Ticket sales start soon and missing out would be a bad idea, right? Here’s all the information you need.

When is Olivia Rodrigo going on her Sydney, Australia tour 2024?

Olivia Rodrigo will start the Australian leg of her Guts World Tour with two shows in Melbourne, before heading to Sydney for two shows on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18. Both shows will take place at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena .

When do Olivia Rodrigo tickets go on sale?

General ticket sales start at 1pm local time on Thursday, May 16 via Ticketek . Punters have already noticed there’s a bit of time between Rodrigo’s Melbourne and Sydney shows, so we’ve got our fingers crossed that more dates could be announced.

Is there a presale for  Olivia Rodrigo’s Sydney shows?

Judging from how wildly popular Ms Rodrigo’s music has become, the fight for tickets is guaranteed to get ‘brutal’. We recommend signing up for presale to avoid ending up in a state of ‘jealousy, jealousy’ towards those who scored tix. Your presale options are the Amex presale from Monday, May 13 at 12pm, the Live Nation presale on Wednesday, May 15 at 1pm, and the My Ticketek presale which starts at the same time as Live Nation.

How much will tickets cost for Olivia Rodrigo’s Australian tour?

Ticket prices haven’t yet been revealed for Rodrigo's Sydney shows, but we’ll update this story as soon as we know. For reference, London tickets can currently be found starting from $123.

Who is the support for Olivia Rodrigo’s Australian shows?

New Zealand singer-songwriter Benee will be warming up the crowd for Olivia Rodrigo’s Qudos Bank Arena shows. She’s best known for her TikTok viral tune ‘Supalonely’.

When else is Olivia Rodrigo playing as part of her 2025 Australian tour?

Rodrigo will perform for two nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10. Currently, those are the only Australian dates she’s announced – sorry to the rest of Oz!

Albums Are — Finally! — Getting Shorter. Thank Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish

Beyoncé and taylor swift may have just dropped behemoth projects, but a spate of new releases suggests that albums are getting more concise.

Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish

Kevin Winter/Getty Images/The Recording Academy; Rodin Eckenroth/Getty Images

If this story were a hard-boiled detective novel, the title might be The Case of the Mysteriously Shrinking Album.

Over the past few weeks, both Beyoncé and Taylor Swift unveiled projects that seemed to include every piece of music they had ever recorded for their respective albums: Cowboy Carter stretched out to 27 tracks, the complete version of The Tortured Poets Department to 31. But while critics and some fans grapple with that overload of material, another diametrically opposed trend is shaping up. For some modern pop artists, and a few veterans, nothing beats an album that can be digested during lunch hour.

Dua Lipa ’s new Radical Optimism , the latest example, clocks in at 11 songs and joins a list of relatively concise recent releases: Olivia Rodrigo ’s Guts (12 songs); Maggie Rogers’ Don’t Forget Me ( 10); 4batz’s debut, u made me st4r (11); veteran Sheryl Crow’s Evolution (10); and even country songwriter Tyler Childers’ Rustin’ in the Rain (7). Billie Eilish ’s upcoming Hit Me Hard and Soft , out next week, will be limited to 10 new tracks, while the new record by the Avett Brothers tops out at nine. One could easily listen to three of those in the same amount of time it would take to digest most of The Tortured Poets Department.

Of course, most classic albums from the Sixties through the Eighties stuck to those lengths because of the limitations of the LP format. To this day, record executives cite Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going on (nine songs each) as examples of perfect records that didn’t overstay their welcomes. Those restrictions flew out the studio window when the compact disc arrived in the Eighties. With running times that could extend to 80 minutes — twice the length of a typical vinyl album — the CD allowed artists to jam as many songs as they wanted onto a new album. If said artists wrote or co-wrote their own material, it could also result in a windfall of publishing income, which only encouraged self-indulgence. And in the streaming era, the more songs there are for fans to stream, the better an artist’s chart placement and revenue.

So, why are albums suddenly drawing the short end of a stick? The trend could have something to do with the ongoing revival of the LP, a physical format that generally can’t hold more than a half dozen or more songs per side; last year, 43 million LPs were sold, up 14 percent from the year before.

Joe Kentish, the Warner Brothers U.K. head who has been Dua Lipa’s A&R executive since her first album, says he and Lipa always aim for a tighter statement, from her 12-song debut up to Radical Optimism . “With this album, she felt like she was there, conceptually and musically, really in the pocket,” he says. “She only wanted to have the songs she felt made a great record.”

Retaining listeners’ attention — with so many other distractions vying for time — may also be playing into the trend, according to one senior major-label A&R executive. “For this generation, the album experience is much different,” the executive says. “In the past you’d put on Dark Side of the Moon , turn off the lights, and listen. It was an immersive experience. Now albums are just one part of their menu.”

Kentish agrees that more succinct albums are a way of combatting the behavior of some music listeners to bounce around streaming services, from one artist or album to another. “When you put music on a streaming service, there’s a lower chance they’ll be listening to it in that order,” he says. “In that environment, it makes people want shorter records. You’re trying to keep people’s attention. You own the environment of what someone is listening to, to some extent.”

The other label executive thinks that the ease with which new music can be recorded and released is also a factor: Lipa and Rodrigo, for instance, rolled out expanded editions of Future Nostalgia and Guts , respectively, with additional songs. “Everyone is recording a lot of music, and they’re not calling a 10-song album ‘chapter 1,’ but it probably is,” says the executive. “You think it’s the whole meal but there’s another entrée after that. I don’t know if that’s cynical, but it’s the reality.”

The move comes with some risks. When Guts arrived last summer, some Rodrigo fans, accustomed to long records, groused online about how supposedly little they were getting: “They really be calling anything an ‘album’ nowadays,” wrote one. “So, basically an EP,” posted another.

But fans may simply have to adjust. “There’s a real desire to keep creative consistency and only have the best songs,” says Kentish. “As they say, ‘All killer, no filler.’”

Dua Lipa speaks of her ‘hurt and humiliation’ over viral dancing meme

The UK pop star has revealed the brutal toll of a viral meme that made fun of her dancing - which saw her quit social media.

Dua Lipa has opened up about a viral dance meme which threatened to derail her pop career.

The UK musician, 28, sang her breakout song New Rules at the prestigious Brit Awards in 2018, marking one of her most high-profile performances to date at the time.

But her “lacking energy” facial expression alongside a dance move dubbed the ‘pencil sharpener’ was widely mocked on social media afterwards, becoming a viral meme which still circulates today.

Speaking to The Guardian, Lipa revealed the brutal toll the criticism took on her at the time as a young woman in her early 20s.

Star says viral dance meme was 'humiliating'

“When people took that snippet of me dancing online and just turned it into a meme, and then when I won the best new artist Grammy and people were like, ‘She’s not deserving of it, she’s got no stage presence, she’s not going to stick around.’ Those things were hurtful. It was humiliating,” she said.

“I had to take myself off Twitter.

“The thing that made me the happiest – performing and writing songs – was also making me really upset because people were picking everything apart that I’d been working on, and I had to learn all that in front of everyone.”

Dua Lipa was widely mocked for her Brits performance in 2018.

Lipa, who has just released her third album Radical Optimism , said she struggled with public opinion for at least “two years” following the performance.

“It never was like I couldn’t get out of bed because of what I thought people thought of me,” she said.

“I didn’t care to that degree. But that’s when it was most heightened for me.”

It wasn’t until the release of her hit single Don’t Start Now when she noticed a shift, after performing the song to critical acclaim at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Lipa has emerged as one of music’s most popular pop stars. Picture: Angela Weiss/AFP

“It was November 2019 when Don’t Start Now came out, and it dawned on me that I’m finally going to get up and dance in front of people after what they have thought about me for so long,” Lipa said.

“And I went back, did that performance, and everyone was like, ‘Oh, we were wrong.’ I got a real kick out of that.”

Lipa’s popularity was further bolstered after she finished her 2020 album Future Nostalgia , which won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2021 Grammys.

More recently, Lipa was included in Time magazine’s top 100 most influential people in the world for 2024.

Former British glamour model Katie Price is reportedly set to name the mega-famous celebrity who raped her more than a decade ago.

Plenty was made of the King’s excuse of being too busy to catch up with his son – but it appears there was another significant factor.

After sparking fears among fans by posting a series of crying photos, Justin Bieber has taken to social media with a huge announcement.

The 5 best and 5 worst Dua Lipa songs of all time

Dua Lipa has released countless pop gems throughout her career, from "Be The One" to "Levitating."

These include two tracks from her latest album, "Radical Optimism" ("Houdini" and "Maria").

Lipa has also released songs that don't meet her potential, like "Boys Will Be Boys" and "Homesick."

Dua Lipa has released three studio albums throughout her career — most recently "Radical Optimism," a fizzy journey through Lipa's dating life .

Lipa has proven herself to be a formidable force in pop music, though all three of her albums contain both gems and duds. Business Insider's senior music reporter broke down the five best and five worst cuts in her catalog.

"Houdini" is the best song from "Radical Optimism."

Lipa has a knack for selecting lead singles for her albums, and the "Radical Optimism" era is no exception.

Coproduced by Kevin Parker and Danny L Harle, "Houdini" is an irresistible dancefloor anthem that's sure to stand the test of time. To paraphrase New York City club scholar Stefon , this song has everything: Tame Impala-esque synths, a fuzzy guitar riff in the bridge, a compact three-minute length that leaves you wanting more, and a sticky, rave-friendly remix by Harle that's almost as good as the original.

Song highlight: "Catch me or I go, Houdini" is such a brilliantly succinct pop hook that I can't believe it didn't exist until 2023.

If you like this, listen to: "Illusion," "Whatcha Doing," "Happy for You"

"Maria" is another album highlight that critics have praised for "emotional richness."

In her measured "Radical Optimism" review, Laura Snapes made a point to praise the late-album gem "Maria," particularly Harle's avant-garde touch.

"'Maria' dabbles in the pacy acoustica of French DJ Bob Sinclair's ' Love Generation ' and Alizée's ' Moi… Lolita ' as Lipa sings a paean to her lover's ex for making him the man he is today," Snapes wrote for Pitchfork. "'Faintly Sapphic fixation with the other woman' is a well-worn pop trope by this point, but the force of Lipa's cries in the chorus — 'Maria! / I know you're gone / But I feel ya / When we're alone' — resounds with a curiosity and emotional richness that's all but absent elsewhere."

While I disagree with the addendum "all but absent elsewhere," it's true that "Maria" is an unexpected, thrilling departure from Lipa's usual palette. The brisk guitar strums and chorus' cheerful flute give the song an exotic, sunny edge — perfect for Lipa's favored vacation spot in Ibiza, Spain.

Song highlight: " Deepest effect always comes from a cause / I'm better too from the ones that I've lost."

If you like this, listen to: "End of an Era," "These Walls," "French Exit"

"Don't Start Now" is Lipa's crown jewel.

In June 2023, Nine Inch Nails rocker Trent Reznor (also known as one-half of the genius team behind movie scores like "The Social Network," "Soul," and, of late, " Challengers ") shared that he had recently "teared up listening to a Dua Lipa track."

"It really reminded me of the art of writing a well-crafted song," he said. "It was clever. It felt good. It's difficult!"

Reacting to this quote, Stereogum's Tom Breihan wrote: "So what Dua Lipa track got Trent Reznor all misty? 'Levitating'? 'New Rules'? 'Don't Start Now'? I bet it was 'Don't Start Now.'"

I do, too. The lead single from "Future Nostalgia" is still the finest hit Lipa has ever produced — a three-minute onslaught of pop perfection. Anything else I could write here would not do it justice.

Song highlight: "If you don't wanna see me dancing with somebody … Don't show up, don't come out" is a deliciously ruthless post-breakup mantra.

If you like this, listen to: "Pretty Please," "Love Again," "Break My Heart"

"Levitating" deserves every bit of its commercial success.

This is one of those rare times when an artist's biggest hit is also one of their most acclaimed, interesting, and exhilarating tracks.

"Levitating" was not initially appointed as a "Future Nostalgia" primer. But upon the album's release, it was established as an early favorite among fans and critics; Laura Snapes said the song "blooms like a row of tropical flowers," NPR's Ken Tucker praised "the crisp authority that runs beneath the dance-floor theatrics," and Vulture's Craig Jenkins hailed Lipa for the "anxiousness and sexual tension in her vocal delivery."

By the time "Levitating" landed on year-end music rankings , it was being promoted as the album's fifth single. One year later, it was soaring among the very stars that Lipa sings about, when Billboard crowned "Levitating" as the top-performing hit of 2021 .

Song highlight: Upon first listen, I was irked by Lipa's gleeful, shameless use of the pet name "sugaboo." Now, it's my favorite part of the song and continues to tickle me to this day — a testament to Lipa's knack for crafting pop songs with staying power.

If you like this, listen to: "One Kiss," "Hallucinate," "If It Ain't Me"

"Be The One" is an early example of Lipa's pop prowess.

"New Rules" may be the breakout hit from Dua Lipa's self-titled debut album, but its true highlight is "Be The One," a wistful, glittering club track that Troye Sivan loved so much , he was inspired to invite Lipa — a then-burgeoning pop star with only a handful of songs to her name — to open for his 2017 Suburbia Tour . (Seven years and many smash hits later, Lipa and Sivan remain close friends .)

Song highlight: Lipa's raspy belt at the end of the bridge: " Will you be mi-i-ine?"

If you like this, listen to: "Genesis," "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)," "Room For 2"

"Anything For Love" is the only true skip on "Radical Optimism."

Despite the impetus for this article, I'd like to go on the record to say that Lipa has never released a "bad" song. Her discography is remarkably consistent, largely thanks to her rich vocals and keen ear for pop melodies.

But even the most discerning musicians have their low points — songs that can't compete with their career's highest peaks. "Anything For Love" is one such example.

"Anything For Love" is slotted at track nine on "Radical Optimism," bringing an anticlimactic lull to the back half of the album. Flanked by robust, soaring tracks "Falling Forever" and "Maria," it simply pales in comparison.

Worst offense: The song's titular phrase (" Remember when we used to do anything for love?") doesn't make sense within the album's narrative, which celebrates Lipa's confidence and hard-earned discernment in the dating world.

Saving grace: "Anything For Love" kicks off with a cute audio recording of Lipa teasing her key album collaborators, whom she has affectionately described as her "band."

"Sweetest Pie" (with Megan Thee Stallion) doesn't measure up to its potential.

Again, it's not that "Sweetest Pie" is a "bad" song, per se. It's that Lipa has an exceptional track record with collaborative singles ("One Kiss" with Calvin Harris, "Electricity" with Mark Ronson and Diplo, "Prisoner" with Miley Cyrus, just to name a few), so the fandom's hopes were much higher for this release.

Megan Thee Stallion is one of the most formidable rappers working today, and much like Lipa, she tends to bring a jolt of energy to her duets. "Sweetest Pie" should've been so much better, so it ends up being forgettable.

Worst offense: Squandering a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

Saving grace: Lipa's swooning delivery of the following line: " I might take you hooome with this, I might give you aaall of it."

"Boys Will Be Boys" is an underwhelming end to Lipa's classic pop album.

"Future Nostalgia" would be a skip-less pop classic if it weren't for its closing track. The intent behind "Boys Will Be Boys" is undeniably admirable: Lipa chastizes our misogynistic culture, which puts the onus on girls to grow up faster and shoulder the burden of boys' immaturity. She even drove this home by performing "Boys Will Be Boys" at the 2020 Billboard Women In Music event .

Indeed, the problem lies not in the song's ambition, but in its heavy-handedness. I have to believe there were more effective ways to make Lipa's point than spelling it out in the most obvious terms.

Worst offense: Taken out of context, "Boys will be boys / But girls will be women" sounds like a justification for that very double standard.

Saving grace: " If you're offended by this song / You're clearly doing something wrong."

"Begging" doesn't play to Lipa's strengths.

This "Dua Lipa" deep cut doesn't quite suit the singer, who shines brightest while smirking her way through a kiss-off bop — not while sinking to her knees.

"All my bones / Are begging me to beg for you / Begging me to beg for your love," she sings in the massive, thumping chorus, which is trying a little too hard to be anthemic. The whole thing comes across as forced. Lipa doesn't sound persuasive; she sounds like a young woman still finding her footing in a crowded pop landscape.

Worst offense: I don't know who this song is about, but I can pretty much guarantee he's not worth all that. In the immortal words of Chrissy Chlapecka, " He is literally just a guy ."

Saving grace: " All of these highs / And all of these lows / Don't keep me company."

"Homesick" is a boring piano ballad.

"Dua Lipa" is a notably strong debut album — but alas, much like "Future Nostalgia," it ends on a low note. "Homesick," the closing track on the standard edition, is a rare moment of cloying, wounded balladry in Lipa's catalog.

Lipa duets with an uncredited male vocalist, who adds such a thick sheen of soppiness that I'm forced to assume "Homesick" was salvaged from Coldplay's cutting room floor — and I'm only partly wrong. That male voice belongs to Chris Martin, who also cowrote the track.

Worst offense: Chris Martin, what are you doing here?

Saving grace: The deluxe version of "Dua Lipa" ends with the aptly titled "Last Dance," so "Homesick" is transformed from an unworthy closer to an inoffensive mid-tracklist skip.

Saturday Night Live recap: Double Dua Lipa — and a Jerry Seinfeld surprise

The Grammy-winning "Dance the Night" singer serves as both host and musical guest.

The home stretch! Welcome back, my dearest Coneheads, to the  SNL in Review . It’s me - your noble guide, the Count Gore de Vol of the  Saturday Night Live  recap scene — to usher you through the final three episodes of season 49 . First up: Dua Lipa , who appeared as the show’s musical guest in seasons 43 and 46. Now the Grammy winner is joining the ranks of musical artists being given the illustrious shot of hosting! Will she be a Justin Timberlake… or a Bad Bunny?

Here’s one thing in her favor: she got some acting credits under her belt recently with Argylle and   Barbie . Speaking of a massive cultural phenomenon, I am joined by former cast member Jeff Richards. He wasn’t in  Barbie,  but he was in the cast when another pop starlet pulled double duty, Britney Spears . He recalls: “I remember  Britney played Barbie  with Amy Poehler. It was like I was watching real live Barbie dolls. Very cool!”

The show is riding high — the  consensus was they knocked it out of the park  a few weeks back when Ryan Gosling hosted, and the live action Beavis & Butt-Head sketch killed . I was a little more measured than some of you. And that’s fine! I'm enjoying most of these episodes for what they are. It feels like an end of an era. This season has been a well-executed display of what the show can be, given decades of scar tissue and muscle memory. But: is it sustainable like this?

We are watching Spectrum NY1. It’s the public affairs show “Community Affairs with Ryan Abernathy” – college students are protesting what is happening in Gaza across the country. Affluent white parents Mikey Day and Heidi Gardner are concerned, while sensible working class Columbia dad Kenan Thompson is more supportive, but is certain his daughter Alexis Vanessa Roberts is not joining the protests. “I’m not worried about 5-0,” he says – his worry is only on paying his kid’s tuition. He’s doing Uber Eats, bounty hunting whatever it takes. Fun showcase for Thompson here – though some awkward moments, including his "Live from New York." Not sure Michael Longfellow quite anchored the sketch the right way either – he is still young.

Dua Lipa let's everyone know that yes, that is her real name (while also giving a nod to Wendy Williams calling her "Dula Peep." She made her American TV debut at the Tonight Show eight years ago. Tonight, her parents are in the attendance and her third album,  Radical Optimism , came out this week. Pretty short monologue, an easy lift for her. We do some audience work, tried and true. The audience members share their problems, and she spins it optimistically. Well, except Gardner's Kristi Noem! Yikes!)

"Young Spicy"

Oh my God, Ronnie – it’s this again. “Get ‘em Spicy!” “Spicy on the track.” “Spicy in the closet, fo sho.” We saw this album  recording session premise back  when Ana de Armas hosted . Devon Walker is Spicy, a hot record producer. He wants a tag for his tracks that’s menacing and cool. However, the studio voiceover artists (Lipa, Ego Nwodim) are silly and obsessed with his sexuality.

"The Anomalous Man"

A theater fan (Lipa) wants to meet the show’s playwright, only known as the Anomalous Man. Meeting the Elephant Man-inspired Peter (Sarah Sherman), she is very compassionate and kind – even as things get stranger and more grotesque. Peter – a poetic soul - is so loyal and devoted. Well, not quite. He has a secret phone! I like this.

"Good Morning Greenville"

Good morning, Greenville! Morning talk show host Mason Monroe (Day) is silly today. His cohost is a giggly Gardner. The sunny hosts want to talk about only the most important issue of the day: the rap beef of Drake versus Kendrick Lamar . They are goofy and mispronounce rappers’ names. The station’s culture critic Wanda (Lipa) has been listening nonstop, stitching all the clues together. Their weather man (Walker) is embarrassed. “Nah,” he says, as the hosts pull out masks of the superstar artists and apologize to one another. This is pretty cringe – even though it’s about the cringey conversations being spurred by the beef. No thanks.

"Sonny Angel"

Sonny Angel is a little angel boy who likes wearing all sorts of headgear. He is always by your side to make you smile! Marcello Hernandez visits his girlfriend’s house, and realizes she’s collecting all the naked cherub figurines. Bowen Yang plays one – they banter a la the new movie  Challengers — complete with a churro scene.

"It's There for Us"

At different stages of life – births, death, marriage – it’s there for us. Loved by none, but acceptable to all. Bland enough for children! It’s that big fat tray of penne alla vodka.

Dua Lipa — "Illusion"

The host's close friend and collaborator Troye Sivan introduces her first musical performance, in which she sings “Illusion,” the third single from her latest album.

"Weekend Update"

It’s the first show of spring, Colin Jost notes. (Jeff Richards reflects that NYC this time of year is nice – he remembers running in the park and having tapioca on the waterfront.) Michael Che jokes Drake dropped another diss record after his joke bombs. Jost tells Che that “time’s up” after Donald Trump announces he will go after anti-white racism. So the joke swap gimmick is really just their dynamic now, I guess. I like Che’s Sylvester Stallone impression.

Kristi Noem’s other dog (Hernandez) comes on to defend his governor and master. “She’s a great owner!” he claims. He’s actually scared, however. He can’t read but sends Jost secret messages about what he really thinks – she wrote her memoir and listed the anecdote about killing her dog Cricket to impress Trump.

Former child star Jojo Siwa ( Chloe Fineman ) comes out to discuss her new persona. “I’m a bad girl now!” Jost notes she looks like if Mad Max was on Broadway. (Jost has a funny joke about not being allowed to smoke at 8H — unless you're Dave Chappelle .) She thinks she invented a “new genre” of music: gay pop. Jost says that’s… just pop.

Fun surprise time! Jerry Seinfeld shows up as a man who did too much press. Seinfeld hosted twice in the  1990s , but last cameoed back in season 38. He has been promoting his film Unfrosted , which is on Netflix, aggressively. This is a funny extension of that – and also, an implicit apology for recent comments he made about the  extreme left killing modern comedy.  (Not that Seinfeld is the type to apologize per se – but it does offer an explanation that maybe he’s just burned out after all this PR!)

"OBGYN"

A couple visits a new OBGYN, whose name is Fat Daddy. Previously, he was the pit master at a BBQ place off the highway. This leads to some funny BBQ puns and visuals, lathering up a visibly pregnant Nwodim.  Punkie Johnson comes out giggling - everyone wants their Beavis & Butt-Head moment.

Dua Lipa — "Happy for You"

Seinfeld introduce's Lipa's second musical performance. The last musical guest that Seinfeld introduced during an episode? David Bowie! This song, "Happy for You," was just released on Friday. Fun visuals during this – very bright.

"Teeny Tiny Statement Pin"

It’s teeny tiny statement pins – for those VIPs who don’t want to stay silent, but also don’t want to say too much about their politics while on the red carpet. This is the perfect way to split the difference – you can fit 10,000 words on there. You can also embrace some vague imagery too. It’s pretty funny to see Marcello with glasses inspecting and staring at a lapel then only saying “Thank you.” Cute.

"Jingle Pitch 2"

A flooring company has a quarterly earnings problem. Their competition has a funky jingle for their phone number. Andrew Dismukes and James Austin Johnson's characters  return to groove . We last saw them during the Jenna Ortega episode . The crowd applauds when they see them! Good vibes.

—The SNL50 projects are revving up, aren’t they folks? Jason Reitman has his movie about the first-ever episode . And now Paul Walter Hauser will play Chris Farley in a biopic . Jeff Richards says “I think Paul will do amazing. He is the perfect choice. He’s a great actor.” (Jeff has had Kevin Farley on his  podcast  FWIW.)
