New game mode and third season of Journey now available in GWENT!

November 3, 2020

CD PROJEKT RED announces an all new Draft game mode for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game , along with the start of the third season of Journey .

Now available in early access for anyone wishing to give it a go, Draft Mode brings a fresh new approach to deck building and gameplay to GWENT . Players now choose from three sets of three cards to fill out their decks — each deck also having to feature a leader’s ability, core legendary card, and Stratagem picked separately — resulting in a more dynamic deck building experience. Each set of cards offers a variety of powerful synergies to take advantage of in battle against other players in Draft Mode, making it even easier to build strong decks quickly with cards for across GWENT ’s entire library. The game ends once a player wins seven matches or decides to build a different deck.

CD PROJEKT RED also revealed an all new season of Journey — GWENT’s progression system — which begins today! Rewarding players as they level up by earning victories in the game’s Standard, Seasonal, and Draft Mode matches, Journey’s third season features over 100 levels with unique ornaments, among others rewards, and is themed around Alzur — a renegade sorcerer believed to be the creator of witchers. New chapters of Alzur’s story and a selection of related quests will be published weekly over the course of Journey’s three-month duration.

As always, the base tier of Journey is free for all players. An optional Premium Pass is also available, granting players instant access to Alzur’s customizable legendary leader skin and even more vanities to unlock. Details regarding the Premium Pass are available on the dedicated Journey website .

Gwent got an all-new progression system—titled Journey—which adds Geralt, new rewards, and story quests to the collectible card game (via Twinfinite ).

From the beginning, all players may access the free tier of Journey. With 100 levels to unlock, there are a huge range of rewards to be unlocked, like vanities, player avatars, reward points, and a variety of card kegs. CD Projekt Red also stated that there is a premium tier of Journey which offers instant access to Geralt’s legendary neutral leader skin, plus over 50 unique ornaments to earn, in time.

In the next three months, every competitive match that players win will count towards their Journey progression. With each level comes new weapons, armour, trophies, and accessories for Geralt. Journey also adds coins—a new form of ornament—and animated avatars and borders. From now onwards, each week marks the start of a new chapter of Journey, which opens up a new set of quests that will boost progression in Journey.

Gwent is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and iOS and Android devices. Watch the Journey update trailer below.

Gwent Journey Guide

Hi everyone, Lorakko here! As a new content team member for TLG, I decided to introduce myself with a review of the Gwent Journey. We will talk about some basics at first and then proceed to calculations regarding Journey's efficient completion and its economy as a progression system.

I have prepared an interactive calculator for your personal Journey experience! Play with it and find a Journey scheme tailored to your needs. Making your own copy of the Google Sheet is advised, as on the public copy you may experience your data being deleted or overwritten by other users.

Basic Journey Mechanics

To fully understand the new system, you need to know something about its core parts, so that you can use the bonuses offered in-game in the most effective way to boost your progression. I will explain everything in the following accordion. You might find some of these obvious, but it's a full guide, so feel free to skip the parts that don't interest you.

gwent journey rewards

In fact crown halves, well-known to every Gwent player since the beginning. You get one crown for each round you win, no matter the final result of the game. Every Journey level requires you to gather 24 crowns to advance. You can do so in a myriad of ways - you can find more details in the next few paragraphs.

Well-rested bonus

It's a way of rewarding the players for regularity - up to 14 rounds that you win every day will count twice! So if you win your first game of the day, you will get 4 crowns instead of 2 and if you get defeated 1:2, you will get 2 crowns. Keep this bonus in mind and plan your Journey accordingly. Winning 28 rounds in one day would grant you 28+14 = 42 crowns, while equally splitting that into two days (14 rounds each) would give you 2*(14+14) = 56 crowns!

Weekly tasks

The sets of 6 contract-like quests added to the game every week. 3 of each set are bound to Dandelion's free path and the 3 others to Geralt's premium path. None of these tasks will disappear until the very end of the Journey, so over the course of 12 weeks, you will be able to do them whenever you want.

gwent journey rewards

However, the weekly tasks can only be completed in the given order (starting from week 1). Each of these tasks grants players 20 crowns upon completion, which makes them the best way to progress the Journey, almost essential for it. Make sure to complete every task!

NOTE: Every player, no matter if they choose to remain F2P or if they buy the Battle Pass, will be able to complete the tasks for both paths. However, players that don't buy the premium path at the beginning won't obtain any rewards for Geralt's quests until they buy the pass. It's always correct to do all the quests even if you're a F2P player, just in case you want to spend some money in the future.

Weekly round limit

CONGRATULATIONS! If you play enough Gwent in a week and win 350 rounds, then the game won't reward you with crowns anymore. However, the weekly tasks and Well-rested bonus still apply, giving the grinders a chance to get their 14 crowns each day. You can play to strengthen your ladder position, but it won't affect Journey progress.

The weekly limit started at just 100 rounds, but after the community backlash, it was later raised to 350, effective since Day 6 of the Journey. Shotout to Jason Slama, it's good to see that CDPR listens to feedback.

The base of the basics and simultaneously the clue of Journey, levels are the steps you have to climb in order to finish your adventure. Each level is split into two parts: Dandelion's path granting reward points or avatars upon completion, and Geralt's path giving trinkets, reward points, kegs, cards, etc; for those who pay for premium.

gwent journey rewards

Every level requires 24 crowns to complete. We start at level 1, so 99 to go, 2376 crowns needed in total. Journey levels replaced the daily crowns (the previous system of rewarding players for winning rounds every day). We will compare these two systems in the "Resources" part of this guide. Once you finish your Journey, you will still be rewarded by the old daily crown system.

Fast travel

An option for those impatient or lacking time to grind. You can pay for skipping some Journey levels. This can be done at the Journey tab between milestones, which are the levels that offer bigger rewards. It's also doable in the GoG shop, where you get a special offer of roughly -20% off while paying for 25 levels.

Journey Time Efficiency

In this section, I would like to talk about the possible ways of finishing your Journey. I will focus on the 3 main policies for spending money (F2P, Premium, Fast Travel) and I will suggest 3 different playstyles for each option (playing every day, playing 5 days a week, playing on weekends only).

Each model assumes that you want to finish the Journey just in time before it ends. They present a minimal number of games that you have to play, split equally between the chosen number of days with Gwent every week. This is supposed to give you the general idea of how hard it is to complete the Journey. For planning your very own experience, I strongly recommend using my interactive calculator where you can configure a plan that suits your needs.

I'm also making an assumption that you win 50% of your games and that you don't lose 0:2 often enough to count losses that won't give you any crowns. All this to present you an estimated number of games (and rounds) needed, as thanks to Slama's post we know that the average game of Gwent takes 12 minutes. Based on that, I can calculate the time needed to complete the Journey in different models (such as F2P vs Battle Pass).

We are 1 week into the Journey, but I will run the numbers for full 12 weeks in the accordion below, and I will assume that we are at the first level of our adventure. If sheer theory doesn't interest you, I once again recommend skipping this part and checking out the calculator.

gwent journey rewards

Free-to-play (F2P)

CDPR is doing a great job and the premium pass is full of beautiful trinkets, but if for some reason you don't want to share your hard-earned money with them, the Journey is doable solely on Dandelion's path, totally for free.

Every week, you will be able to get 60 crowns from the weekly tasks for a total of 720 crowns. If we subtract this from the grand total of 2376 crowns needed to grind 99 levels, you need to get 1656 crowns just from playing.

That's 138 crowns per week, almost 20 crowns each day. Thanks to the existence of the Well-rested bonus, you need to win 10 rounds per day for this, which should take approx 6-7 games, so about 1.5 hours  a day.

If you want to take two days off, you can easily make it. Winning 14 rounds a day, about 9-10 games for 5 days a week, resulting in about 2-hours-long sessions. If grinding doesn't scare you and you don't have time on weekdays, you can complete the minimum on weekends. The downside is that not all of your games will be within the Well-rested bonus. You would need to play 55 rounds per day, 36-37 games on both Saturday and Sunday, for a total of 7-8 hours per day.

Battle Pass

For those who buy the Battle Pass, progression in Journey would be so much easier due to rewards for Geralt's quests. These can grant another 60 crowns each week. This makes for a total of 1440 crowns, which requires you to gain only 936 crowns by playing (78 crowns per week, about 11 crowns each day). With the Well-rested bonus applied, you need about 6 rounds won daily, which is only 4 games - less than 1 hour of your precious time.

2 days off Gwent every week results in having to play 8 rounds per day, so about 5-6 games for 5 days a week, which is only 1.5 hour a day! All the weekend players have to be aware that it would require winning 25 rounds on both Saturday and Sunday, so about 17 games, 3-4 hours on both days.

Fast travel (+25)

For those of you who really want the trinkets immediately, or lack time over the next 3 months and don't want to miss out on the Journey, there is an option to skip 25 levels (it basically means buying 600 crowns ) with money.

You still need to win exactly 2 rounds every day, so play 1 or 2 games in less than half an hour. If you don't have time for regular logins, you can jam 14 won rounds on any day of the week, playing about 9 games every week.

NOTE: You will probably need to spend most of that time on finishing weekly quests, as the number of games needed in this model is so low that we cannot omit them in time calculations. If you finish the tasks and still play some ladder, you will most likely manage to finish your Journey just before 12 weeks.

Resources and Generosity of the Journey

Many people have accused CDPR of forcing a "pay-to-progress" policy by changing the previous progression system into the Journey one. First of all, the old system will come back for everyone who finishes the Journey (or when the time is up). Secondly, you can only compare the time you need to finish the Journey (depending on the way you play) with the same time frame for the old system.

The most common argument was that there are fewer reward points to be gathered throughout the Journey completion than it was possible during the old times. This is true in some cases, but only when specific conditions are met.

Most of the time, Journey is more generous in terms of reward points. You miss out on the so-called lesser daily rewards (15 units of ore, scraps or meteorite powder) but you are compensated with a lot of new trinkets. You can find a detailed comparison of the two systems in the following accordion.

gwent journey rewards

The table above shows the comparison of the new and old progression systems for each of the four old daily milestones most of us got used to. We compare resources gathered in the time needed for completing Journey, as the old system is reintroduced once the Journey is finished. That's why P2P seems to be getting fewer rewards in comparison to F2P. With Battle Pass, you will end your Journey faster, reap all the new rewards and go back to the old system.

As you can see, the old daily system granted a small amount of resources each day, but Journey doesn't do that directly. However, F2P players get 11 new avatars. P2P players get them too, along with 9 regular and 9 premium cards, 4 faction and 4 premium kegs and loads of other trinkets. What's worth more? That depends on your own preferences.

The more you played with the previous system, the worse was the average pay-off for your attempts. Journey fixes that, while still favoring the regular players by introducing the Well-rested bonus at 14 rounds daily. Let's see what happens if we run similar calculations by this new standard instead of focusing on the old one being the one-and-only.

By winning 14 rounds each day, you will finish the F2P Journey in 9 weeks and 2 days. The old system would grant you 130 reward points, which is 35% less than Journey. Players with Battle Pass can finish Journey in 7 weeks and 4 days, which in the old system would give 106 reward points, that's 56% less than Journey!

How come the Journey suddenly looks much better when both 6 and 18 daily rounds seemed to grant more rewards using the old system? The answer lies in the question itself. The old system was balanced around people playing in an inhumanly regular manner.

You were given reward points for winning a certain number of rounds and all the progress made after moving past it (but before the next fixed number) was lost at midnight. You only won 5 rounds today? Sorry, no reward points for you. You won 17? That would be a shame if you needed 18 for a better reward, so you won 11 rounds for nothing.

To prove the point, I prepared a graph for the rewards given to a F2P player throughout his Journey, depending on the number of rounds won every day. If you want to experiment and see how Journey works for irregular numbers of rounds won each day, check out the interactive calculator which should leave no doubt that CDPR are still the most generous card game developers in the market and the Journey system is very well designed.

gwent journey rewards

The green line represents the amount of reward points you get by finishing Journey. It grows steadily until it reaches its maximum. As a F2P player, you have to play a certain number of rounds to finish the Journey, so the growth part is tied to the level of Journey you finish it on. When it goes fully horizontal, it means you will have finished Journey in time.

It doesn't start at 0 because we can safely assume that every player can do the weekly tasks (and they give you crowns for almost 1/3 of the Journey) and it's in theory possible to do them without winning even 1 round.

The brown line is the amount of reward points you would get in the same time frame using the old system. Why does it have such a weird shape? That's because it's calculated by multiplying the daily reward from the old system by the number of days the Journey lasts when playing a given number of rounds every day.

Time isn't directly visible in this graph, but we know that when we play more rounds daily, our Journey will be shorter, thus the multiplication factor of Journey time decreases the more rounds we play every day (until we hit the weekly round limit, which is visible as the two horizontal parts of the brown line in the second half of the graph).

The spikes on the brown line represent the second multiplication factor - the number of reward points gained in the old system (2 for 6 rounds, 4 for 18, 5 for 42, 6 for 66) - changing rapidly. The figures created by the lines crossing are our gains and losses between the systems. So if you were capable of winning EXACTLY <6; 7> or <18; 25> rounds each day for 2-3 months straight, then you are losing some reward points on the introduction of Journey.

Try adapting to the new system, the old one will be back in 3 months. And if you are an actual human being, sometimes incapable of maintaining such precision, you are gaining a lot with the new Journey system.

I didn't include the Battle Pass line, in order to keep the graph clean (it's complicated enough already) but it would be similar to green, definitely a bit steeper, and it wouldn't ever cross with the brown one. So if you have the Battle Pass, make sure to take the best out of your Journey experience, you are getting more rewards than ever.

Journey is an incredible addition to the game. It is fresh, endearing, well-thought-out and easily accessible for everybody. To fully enjoy it, you must know what you're dealing with and how to use it. I hope that this article and the calculator that supports it will help you on your path.

To wrap it all up, I would like to thank the Gwent team for creating this game and constantly improving it. Big applause for Jason Slama, Burza, Alicja, ThorSerpent and many other CDPR employees on the community front line, who have the guts and the patience to stand with us even when some people are eager to whip out their pitchforks, often unnecessarily, as it recently happened. Cheers!

GWENT: Fourth Season of Journey is Here

It's all about Yennefer.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game announced that the fourth season of Journey has arrived. The new season lasts for three months and revolves around Yennefer of Vengerberg. You know, one of the greatest sorceresses on the Continent and the true love of Geralt of Rivia.

If you’re new to the game, Journey is the game’s progression system that has more than 100 levels with each offering unique rewards. Players earn progress while being able to unlock new items by winning games either through Standard, Seasonal, and Draft.

The Journey

For the duration of the event , players get to unlock new rewards each week. These include avatars, card backs, and leader skins. There are also new achievements that allow players to get more ornaments. As players advance, they get to learn more about Yennefer with each week revealing a new vision from Nimue.

Yennefer’s Journey, so to speak, arrives with Update 8.2. This new update brings some interesting changes to Xavier Lemmens. His provision has been lowered from eight to six, and his ability changed to:

  • Order (Melee): Banish a card from opponent's graveyard.
  • Order (Ranged): Banish a card from your graveyard.
  • Cooldown: 1

The dev team revealed that in certain matchups, being able to interact with the graveyard of the opponent can be rather powerful. It’s been observed that from some players, Xavier Lemmens doesn’t have much value. That’s why in many games players often mulligan the card. With these changes, he should become a cheap card while also becoming a more accessible tech card. It should

allow Xavier to be more interactive and less swingy.

Overwhelming Hunger has been changed as well with the charges now at two and provision bonus increased to 15. The team said that Overwhelming Hunger had a high win rate despite Monsters being classified as a “weak” faction. The changes should balance the card.

Read more about Update 8.2 and the different changes here .

Gwent's first two seasonal journeys are back, without the time limits

Play through Geralt and Ciri's stories at your own pace.

Image for Gwent's first two seasonal journeys are back, without the time limits

Since 2020, the standalone version of collectible card game Gwent has had a battle pass equivalent called journeys, which gave players three months to earn rewards including avatars, animated borders, card backs, and skins, with the shiniest ones only available on a second reward track you had to pay to unlock. Most of the journeys were based on a character from The Witcher, with an original short story about them appearing chapter by chapter each week.

Journeys gave players a reason to keep coming back to Gwent, with quests that encouraged trying different factions and decks. They were also controversial due to the brutal grind it took to earn the best rewards before the next journey came along. That's changed as of Gwent's May update, which has brought back both of the first two journeys, Geralt's and Ciri's, for an unlimited time. Some extra rewards have been added too: auras based on witcher signs for Geralt and trophies for Ciri.

Rather than leveling up whichever journey is currently available, now you can select which one you'd like to progress. The next three journeys (Alzur, Yennefer, and Triss) will return as permanent additions in July, with the final three (Aretuza, Regis, and Dandelion) in November.

The latest update brings Gwent up to version 10.5, and adds a new keyword, Timer, to any cards that had effects that triggered after a countdown, changing them so they'll now go off before any other end-of-turn effects. That might make some make interesting synergies possible—as the patch notes explain, cards like Portal and Megascope can now summon an engine card that will have its ability go off in the same turn. A few other cards have been tweaked, including Hen Gaidth Sword.

Another singleplayer Gwent game , announced in February, is still in the works and should be out this year.

G went: The Witcher Card Game features the best battle pass system I’ve ever seen so far! Called “Journeys”, each season focuses on a main Witcher character, providing a ton of cosmetics, stories, artworks and unlockables in the Reward Book (another amazing system I haven’t seen in a CCG!).

As with any battle pass though, there’s always the question of “what do I need to do to get all the levels, if I started playing on X date?”. If you need a quick answer, just skip to the bottom of this article , otherwise stick with me a couple more minutes, so you get a better understanding of how the whole system works!

There are 100 levels in the Journey, and each one requires 24 Crown Pieces in order to level up, therefore you need a total of 2,400 Crown Pieces in order to fully level the Gwent Battle Pass and get all the rewards.

Every Journey season lasts for 12 weeks , and each week there is a new set of 6 quests you can complete, awarding you with 20 Crown Pieces each, for a total of 1,440 Crown Pieces (equal to 60 Journey levels ). That means that after completing all of the Journey Quests, you will still need 960 Crown Pieces for full completion.

Keep in mind that 3 of these weekly quests, fall under the premium category, so you will need to own the Battle Pass in order to be awarded the Crown Pieces for completing them, but you can still progress towards their goals , and unlock all the Crown Pieces when you decide to buy the Battle Pass!

Another important thing to keep in mind, is that you can’t progress multiple weekly quests at the same time, and you will have to complete them in the order they are given. So for example, you need to complete Quest 1 from Week 1, in order to unlock Quest 2 from Week 1. Free & Premium weekly quests have their own tracks, so in essence you can progress 2 Quests at the same time always.

  • Winning 1 round in any online mode will award you with 1 Crown Piece , without any daily / weekly limits or caps. You can farm all 100 Journey levels in the 1st week if you want, just by winning rounds.
  • Additionally, you receive 14 bonus Crown Pieces every day , to be applied on your won rounds. That means that the first 14 rounds you win each day, will give you a total of 28 Crown Pieces. Another easy way to calculate this bonus, is to think of 1 win = 4 Crown Pieces / 7 wins = 28 Crown Pieces (or 6 daily wins = 1 journey level).

Knowing that clearing all 12 weeks of quests (72 Quests in total) leaves us with 960 Crown Pieces to go, then the minimum amount of matches you will need is 34 days of winning 14 rounds each = 952 Crown Pieces .

In the extreme scenario that you started farming the Journey levels at the last day, then be prepared to win 946 rounds in a single day (28 pieces from the first 14 rounds, then 1 piece for the rest 932)!

I hope that having all this information at hand will help you easily figure out how much work you need to do in order to unlock all 100 levels in your case, but if you still feel unsure, I suggest you take a look at this Gwent Journey calculator , that can help you based on the date you started the current Journey season.

Rewards System in Gwent

Rendaniz

  • Reward Points (RPs) gained from leveling up, daily quests, and contracts are not included as they operate independently of these reward systems
  • No RPs from GGs (Reward for reaching Prestige 8)
  • If not specified when I refer to rounds, I mean rounds won or total rounds won, not rounds played
  • No RPs from minor rewards, only every completion of the crown (Not sure if this is still a thing, but it used to be a reward for reaching a certain prestige)
  • Standard 6/12/24/24 rounds per crown granting 2/2/1/1 RPs per crown
  • Crown pieces obtained from journey quests will not be included in the first set of numbers.
  • Player will not play more than 14 rounds a day because the first 14 rounds are worth double.
  • No fast travel payments

Math: You purchase premium journey, and compleate it after 2 months. With 240 reward points in total, you get 4 points daily on average. This is better than the previous system, where you had to play 2 hours daily in order to earn 4 reward points. However, with journey you can play anytime you want. I started the 23'th of April, and compleated the journey by june 1'th. You dont have the same flexibility with old system. Overall, you play much less for those 4 daily points. You get 40 reward points by compleating all of the quests. Seems good for the time invested. After compleating the journey you are back in the old reward-system, hence you get the rewardpoints while compleating the remaining journey-quests. It can't be argued to be a time loss, since the most efficient way to earn rewardpoints anyway, is to win 1 round, and forefeit. This system is very generous. And considering the cosmetics you are earning, the journey should be priced at 30-50 euros. (Measured relative to the existing prices in the shop, which is just stupid). 15 Euro, and you can still call the journey system generous.

Journey needs to add 1 point to every reward node including cosmetics. Let’s do some basic math using this journey as a template. Journey is 99 levels The average level is worth 2 points. It takes 6 wins to level up and 7 wins to complete the fresh bonus for the day. This means for 9 wins you get 24 + 16 = 40 crowns. 24 per level means you get 1.666 levels which we multiply by 2 (the average value of a level,) = 3.222. Those same nine wins get you 4 points in the daily system. From a weekly perspective 60 quest crowns 98 fresh crowns (14x7) 98 crowns required to earn fresh crowns. 60+98+98 = 256 crowns. 256/24 = 10.67 levels per week. 10.67x2 = 21.34 reward points per week. using the daily system and only getting 9 wins per day 7x4 =28 If you factor in the time required to do the quests, the math clearly favors the daily system. Also, the 5 point nodes are largely canceled by the 0 point cosmetic nodes.

Alexander_Volgin said: Not quite. By grinding less, the journey is compleated at a slower phase, which means that you are missing out on additional reward points. One week equals to 14 or 28 reward points, depending on if you compleate 6 or 16 rounds each day. You can't argue that you were put worse off, by purchasing fast-travel, as you are rewarded by continuing playing the game. But I do understand that you feel that you overpaid for the fast-travel, with the expectations of keeping the well rested bonus, and having the quests count towards daily crow progression. What CDPR should have done was to price the premium journey at 28$ as you suggested. Cosmetics are atleast worth that much. Click to expand...
Six-Sided-Prism said: I still feel a little ripped off knowing that the previous system, which didn't cost anything, was arguably more generous when you account for the small rewards. Click to expand...
Rendaniz said: In my opinion, the ten dollars I paid to start Journey (and again, I did not purchase any fast traveling) was well spent because I had two months of good rewards. I essentially played my 14 rounds a day and completed my journey quests as they came out and it took me seven weeks to finish. My issue arose from completing the journey as a devoted player now means I get less RPs. As a player who spent the time to making their way through journey, shouldn't we get rewarded? That's why I am making the suggestion of six levels where every level a player earns 2 RPs from standard journey and 1 RP from premium. The sixth level will be 5 and 1. The benefit of this suggestion is making the Journey quests still relevant to players who have completed their journey. For me personally, I have been playing my next seven weeks quests for no reason other than the trophy and the RPs. But finishing those 21 quests for 40 RPs is not a good deal. If they interacted with the level system though, that would be equal to almost 18 levels, or three times through my proposed six level system. That would get a standard journey player 45+20 RPs and a premium journey player 63+40 RPs for completing all the quests. That's a much better deal and in my opinion, is a way to reward players for completing their journey faster. Post automatically merged: Jun 3, 2020 There are some errors with your math Wonderboy870 If you win 18 rounds a day in the Journey system, you will get 14*2+4*1=32 Crowns/day. This amounts to 1.3 (repeating of course) levels a day in the journey system. Analyzing at 18 rounds a day, let's look at it without quests. It would take a player a whooping 75 days to complete journey at that rate. That is 300 points in the Daily Crown system, and only 199 in the standard journey and 241 in the premium journey. That's not a great deal. BUT we do have quests and each quest individually adds 0.83 (repeating of course) levels. Including completing all three quests (or six for premium) a week, it would take a player on the standard journey approximately 58 days to complete journey or a player on the premium journey approximately 49 days. This would be 58*4=232 RPs (Daily Crown) vs 199 RPs (Journey) for standard or 49*4=196 RPs (Daily Crown) vs 241 RPs (Journey). At a rate of 18 rounds won a day, Premium Journey without fast traveling is clearly the best system. At a rate of 6 rounds won a day, it takes 80 days to complete the premium journey and 115 to complete the standard journey (I think Journey is only 104 days long). In 80 days a player would receive 80*2=160 RPs (Daily Crown) vs 241 RPs (Journey). For standard, it is 115*2=230 RPs (Daily Crown) vs 199 RPs (Journey) which is essentially the same as 18 rounds won a day. I think its pretty clear that premium journey is a better system than Daily Crown. Another advantage is that with the Journey system, you can play whenever you want. There's no difference if I play 14 rounds one day and 22 rounds the next. It'll give me the same amount of levels over those two days whereas I would only get 6 RPs in the Daily Crown system. My hope is we can create a suggestion, such as my six level post journey system, that keeps rewarding players (especially the standard players who are disadvantaged by the Journey system) and continues to make the Journey quests relevant after completing the Journey. Diablo 4 Season 4: All Season Journey objectives and rewards

Image of Josh Challies

A new season is underway in Diablo 4 , and season four contains a heap of Seasonal Journey objectives to complete that offer great rewards and challenges to undertake.

Though you primarily use the Season Journey to progress through Diablo 4 ‘s Battle Pass, the rewards you earn along the way are invaluable, and the objectives can give you a hint about what you should be targeting next.

Keeping track of them all can be tricky, so we’re here to help with a definitive list you can keep open while you grind away.

Chapter One

Chapter two, chapter three, chapter four, all season journey objectives and rewards in diablo 4 season 4.

The Season Journey screen in Diablo 4.

There are 10 objectives in Chapter One of the Season Journey in Diablo 4 season four, with eight that are mandatory to complete before you can earn rewards and unlock the next chapter.

Each objective awards Smaller Favor when completed. You can see all the Chapter One objectives here:

  • Complete three Cellars.
  • Complete any Dungeon found on your map.
  • Collect 50 Rawhide from salvaging Armor, defeating Monsters, or other sources.
  • Complete two world events.
  • Increase your Wolf’s Honor rank to level one.
  • Collect 50 Bundled Herbs from Harvest Nodes, Cellars, or other sources.
  • Collect 10 Angelbreath from Harvest Nodes, Cellar Mastery, or other sources.
  • Collect 50 Iron Chunks from salvaging Weapons and Jewelry, Mineral Nodes, or other sources.
  • Complete an Iron Wolf event found during Helltide.
  • Open a Tortured Gift during Helltide.

Once you’ve completed eight of the 10 objectives, the next Chapter unlocks and you can claim the following rewards:

  • Greater Favor
  • First Journey Cache: Consumables such as Elixers and Murmuring Obols.
  • First Journey Cache: Crafting Materials such as Herbs and Gem Fragments.
  • First Journey Cache: Legendary Weapon, Gloves, and Amulet for your class.

Like the first chapter, there are 10 objectives in Chapter Two of the Season Journey, and you need to complete eight objectives to claim rewards and progress to the next chapter.

Again, Smaller Favor is your reward for each individual objective, helping you progress through the Battle Pass. The quests are:

  • Acquire 666 Aberrant Cinders during Helltide.
  • Craft 10 Elixirs at the Alchemist.
  • Collect three Whispering Keys, sold at the Purveyor of Curiosities.
  • Unlock three Aspects in the Codex of Power.
  • Increase your Wolf’s Honor rank to level six.
  • Increase your Threat Level to Max by defeating monsters during Helltide.
  • Learn a recipe of Magic rarity or higher.
  • Open 10 Tortured Gifts during Helltide.
  • Complete three Doomsayer events during Helltide.
  • Disrupt three Cultist Rituals during Helltide.

When you’ve completed eight of the objectives, you can claim the following rewards:

  • Second Journey Cache: Temper Manual and Consumables, such as Elixirs and Baneful Hearts.
  • Second Journey Cache: Crafting Materials such as Herbs and Veiled Crystals.
  • Second Journey Equipment Cache: Legendary Weapon, Pants, and Ring for your class.

There’s no change to the formula with Chapter Three, which has another 10 objectives in Diablo 4 season four. The process remains the same, and you need to finish eight objectives before the next chapter unlocks.

Once again, you get Smaller Favor as the reward for each individual objective, all of which you can see below:

  • Buy 25 pieces of equipment from the Purveyor of Curiosities.
  • Complete three World Events with Mastery.
  • Complete one Legion event.
  • Obtain 10 caches from the Tree of Whispers.
  • Increase your Wolf’s Honor rank to level nine.
  • Consume five Seasonal Elixirs, Elixir of Momentum, or Exilir of Holt Bolts.
  • Temper five Affixes onto Gear at the Blacksmith.
  • Defeat 666 Monsters while at Max Threat Level during Helltide.
  • Defeat 666 Monsters while Bloodmarked in Hostile areas.
  • Learn a Recipe of Rare rarity or higher.

Once you’ve completed eight of the 10 objectives, you can claim the following rewards:

  • Third Journey Cache: Consumables such as Sigil Powder and Baneful Hearts.
  • Third Journey Crafting Cache: Crafting Materials such as Veiled Crystals and Forgotten Souls.
  • Third Journey Equipment Cache: Legendary Weapon, Chest Armor, and Boots for your class.
  • Third Journey Summoning cache: Summoning Materials to challenge Bosses in World Tier 3.

The fourth Chapter of Season Journey in Diablo 4 season four contains 11 objectives , nine of which you need to complete to earn rewards and unlock the next chapter. Smaller Favor is the reward for each objective, which are as follows:

  • Defeat 666 Monsters while using the Profane Mindcage during Helltide.
  • Defeat 666 Monsters while using the Profane Mindcage during Helltide in World Tier 3 or Higher.

Once nine objectives are complete, six rewards are available to claim, which are as follows:

  • Captain of the Wolves Emblem
  • Fourth Journey Cache: Temper Manual and Consumables, such as Profane Mindcages and Scroll of Amnesia.
  • Fourth Journey Crafting Cache: Crafting Materials such as Veiled Crystals and Forgotten Souls.
  • Fourth Journey Equipment Cache: Legendary Weapon, Helm, and Ring for your class.
  • Fourth Journey Summoning Cache: Summoning Materials to challenge Bosses in World Tier 4.

The fifth chapter of Season Journey in Diablo 4 season four, called Slayer, contains 11 objectives to complete. Once again, you need to complete nine objectives to earn rewards and unlock the next chapter.

As the objectives are harder, the reward for each is increased from Smaller Favor to Favor . The objectives are:

  • Slayer’s Equipment Cache: Two Ancestral Legendaries and an Ancestral Unique for your class.
  • Slayer’s Summoning Cache: Summoning Materials to challenge bosses in World Tier 4.

Duriel, King of Maggots in Diablo 4

The sixth chapter of the Season Journey in Diablo 4 season four is Champion, with 12 objectives to complete. 10 of these must be completed to unlock rewards and the next chapter, with the individual reward for each objective being Favor .

Diablo 4 Season 4 Loot Reborn

All Iron Wolves Reputation rewards in Diablo 4 Season 4

In Diablo 4 Season 4 Loot Reborn, players can earn Wolf’s Honor for Reputation rewards from the Iron Wolves. But what’s so special about these items and what kind of cosmetics are available? We’ll go over all the Wolf’s Honor rewards you can collect throughout Season 4.

Diablo 4 Season 4: All Wolf’s Honor Reputation rewards

By tackling the enemies scouring the Helltides and completing the various quests posed by the Iron Wolves, it’s possible to earn some pretty sweet rewards. Here are all 18 of the Wolf’s Honor rewards in Diablo 4 Season 4 Loot Reborn.

Iron Wolves Diablo Rewards

As you can tell, there are plenty of cool gear items to collect with Legendary, Ancestral, and Unique rarities . Along with these rewards, there are a lot of Temper Manuals available as you progress through the Wolf’s Honor Tiers in the Loot Reborn Season. These will allow you to change the affixes on your various items in the game.

Along with the Temper Manuals, there are many other chests of rewards, ranging from herbs to collections of gemstones . It’s well worth diving back into Diablo 4 in Season 4 to see just how the loot system and gameplay have been tweaked. Will it be enough to reactivate those long-forgotten players?

All Iron Wolves Reputation rewards in Diablo 4 Season 4

How to earn reputation rewards with the Iron Wolves

If you’re looking to get your hands on the Iron Wolves rewards for Diablo 4 Season 4, you’re going to have to earn Wolf’s Favor. You’ll be able to start the Seasonal quest line right in Kyovashad where you spawn (if you skipped the main campaign). After that, you must slay enemies in the Helltides until you have enough items to give to the Iron Wolves.

Once you interact with the Iron Wolves, you’ll immediately be able to take a look at all the Wolf’s Honor Reputation rewards at the Iron Wolves Encampment. Your first quest will be to reach Rank 1, and to my knowledge, the quests continue as you rank up tiers in Wolf’s Honor by culling enemies in the Helltides.

Season 4 Loot Reborn brought along new Helltide changes as well, and you can now earn Helltide Threat and Baneful Hearts .
