Hi there! We are Kakadu Tourism, owners of Kakadu National Park's most iconic and idyllic retreats, the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel and Cooinda Lodge Kakadu. Our purpose is to create a space of comfort and excitement for all who visit this area, ensuring our customers can create lifelong memories in this beautiful part of Australia.

Spanning almost 200,000 square kilometres, Kakadu is a double World Heritage Listed National Park, seeing over 210,000 tourists annually. But in truth, Kakadu is home. The Indigenous communities of Kakadu proudly care for the Country and their people in the footsteps of their ancestors. Culture in Kakadu has been unbroken for 65,000 years and can be found everywhere; in the land, waters, and people.

We now have one of the most unique opportunities for a full-time Talent and Culture Manager to join our team initially on a 12-month contract, working out of Cooinda, Northern Territory. This is your chance to live, work and play in the heart of the largest national park in Australia, where you will make a real connection with the land.

We are located three hours from Darwin, in a fully self-sufficient community, with amenities, fishing hot spots and one of Australia's most beautiful and picturesque destinations.

The opportunity:

This role is an impactful and well-rounded position where no two days are the same! You will have a range of Talent & Culture functions and the opportunity to be a real business leader support. You will experience the adventure in the day-to-day functionality through a hands-on approach. 

Moreover, your day will involve liaising with managers, reporting on projects, recruitment, performance management, allocating courses for learning and development, and managing industrial relations issues.

House Speaker Mike Johnson to deliver remarks with Trump on 'election integrity'

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Mike Johnson will travel to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Friday for remarks about “election integrity” with Trump, two sources directly familiar with the plans confirmed.

Asked by NBC News what his news conference with Trump will focus on, Johnson, R-Fla., said: “You’ll have to see. ... I look forward to going down there."

Asked to elaborate on “election integrity," Johnson said: “free and fair elections."

CNN first reported plans for the remarks. The House is set to be in session Friday, but votes are expected to be held in the morning.

Johnson faces threats to his job from his right flank and scrutiny over his handling of thorny issues in a narrow Republican majority, including a military aid package for Ukraine and other U.S. allies that has been held up for months, despite his vows to pass new Ukraine aid.

Johnson is under tremendous pressure from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., another Trump ally, who has threatened to force a vote on a motion to oust him over funding for Ukraine. Greene, who argues that congressional attention and funding should be turned to the southern border rather than Ukraine, last month filed a "motion to vacate" to depose Johnson but stopped short of forcing a vote to remove him.

A Republican former senior congressional aide said that the meeting at Mar-a-Lago may send a message to Greene that Johnson is close to Trump and that Trump supports his continued leadership of the House GOP. “This seems to be more about motion-to-vacate mitigation than anything else,” the former aide said.

Before he was elected speaker, Johnson had boosted Trump's false claims of widespread election fraud in the 2020 presidential election and pursued legal efforts to invalidate President Joe Biden's electoral victory. In December 2020, Johnson led an amicus brief signed by more than 100 House Republicans in support of a Texas lawsuit seeking to overturn Biden's wins in four battleground states.

Johnson endorsed Trump in November, not long after he took the speaker’s gavel.

Although Trump did not announce an outright endorsement in the speaker's race last year, he seemed to boost Johnson's bid, writing on his Truth Social platform , “My strong SUGGESTION is to go with the leading candidate, Mike Johnson, & GET IT DONE, FAST!”

Days after he announced his endorsement of Trump, Johnson met with him at a fundraiser for Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla., at Mar-a-Lago in November.

Cooinda Lodge Kakadu, is based in the heart of Kakadu national park. Offering 68 rooms, a large campground and home to the world famous Yellow Water Cruise. Cooinda is an iconic Northern Territory resort that is bustling with excitement and activity. At the southern end of Kakadu National Park, Cooinda is the closest resort and gateway to some of the park's most iconic hikes, waterfalls and activities giving you the best platform to start your next big adventure. We are seeking passionate and vibrant hospitality professionals to join our energetic Food & Beverage Team. Reporting to the Duty Manager - Food & Beverage, your primary responsibility is ensuring a high level of guest service at all times across the hotel. Day to day functioning of the restaurant should be of second nature to the successful applicant. Holding a current RSA is essential and we also expect you to have experience working in F&B/restaurant in a busy and fast paced venue. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to:  comfortably provide exceptional service excel in all aspects of a service role, from section waiter to bar work ensure delivery of Accor standards and expectations ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Standards demonstrate exceptional human skills – helping every person you come into contact Feel Valued and Feel Welcome work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and split shifts The ability to comply with all CHO directions regarding employment to have fun!
