New Found Glory to Mark Tenth Anniversary of ‘Sticks and Stones’ With Club Tour

In 2002 New Found Glory were an up-and-coming band whose second album, New Found Glory , topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart and spawned a hit single in “Hit or Miss.” That promise came to fruition with the release of their third album, Sticks and Stones . It hit number four on the top 200, featured the hits “My Friends Over You” and “Head on Collision” and brought the group a headlining spot on the 2002 Warped Tour.

The band will commemorate the tenth anniversary of that album with a tour late this year or early next year. “We’ll play the record in full and then some. And that’ll be a smaller club tour, make it special,” drummer Cyrus Bolooki tells Rolling Stone .

For Bolooki, revisiting the album takes him back in time. “We can transport ourselves right back to the studio and to what it was like to be recording those records and just to be in the band at that time,” he says. “It was so exciting – everything was happening for the first time. We had just moved out to California.”

Frontman Jordan Pundik is also excited about those decade-old songs and bringing them to audiences, in some cases for the first time. “Listening to the deeper cuts on the album that we’ve never played live, ones I’ve forgotten about, I’m like, ‘That’s actually a good song. How come we never played that one?'”

Fittingly, New Found Glory are again on the Warped Tour in 2012, this year as eight-time veterans of the annual summer punk and alternative festival. They’ve been receiving the heroes’ welcome that comes with that longevity and 15 years in the game overall. “A lot of people want to see us,” Bolooki says.

They’ve also gotten props from fellow musicians, including ones they would’ve never thought of as New Found Glory fans, from Miss May I to Falling in Reverse. There was one band that surprised Pundik in particular.

“Bethany [Consentino], from Best Coast, grew up listening to us, went to our shows,” he says. “I went to their show in San Diego a while back and I was like, ‘It’s funny how you guys like us.’ And she was like, ‘Oh, you’d be surprised how many people here love New Found Glory.'”

New Found Glory have announced the "20 Years of Sticks and Stones" tour, scheduled to take place this spring and summer and also feature Four Year Strong and Be Well . Confirmed dates are listed below.

New Found Glory Playing Full Album Shows for 20th Anniversary Tour

What better way to celebrate 20 years of rocking fans than to revisit the music that got you to this point! That's exactly what New Found Glory will be doing over the better part of two months next year, as they perform full album shows for their fans in stops across the U.S.

The band will kick off the special "20 Years of Pop Punk" run March 22 in Baltimore where they'll play the Sticks and Stones and Catalyst albums for those in attendance. Each show on the run will include performances of at least two full albums from their history and a full rundown of what's getting played on what date can be found below.

During their history, the band has released eight albums, starting with 1999's Nothing Gold Can Stay and continuing through their self-titled disc, Sticks and Stones, Catalyst, Coming Home, Not Without a Fight, each of which will be performed a some point during the run. However the band is leaving out their Radiosurgery and Resurrection albums.

“'You’ll never get anywhere,' 'sophomore slump,' 'It’s a trend that will pass,''your ship will sink,'" the band starts a statement on the trek. "Well it’s been 20 years. Wondering what the voices say now? Luckily there was and still is only two voices we listen to. The passion inside of us and our loyal fans! This tour is for both. We can’t wait to play through all our albums recorded before 2010 and revisit some venues across the U.S. that we have great memories playing at. Thank you for all the years of love and support. Somehow it still feels like the beginning! Tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow (Dec. 9) at 12PM LOCAL TIME! #NFG20YearTour"

We will take you on a journey through the ages, from centuries ago, right up to the modern day, soaking in the sights of this vast and bustling metropolis. Then, there’s another of Moscow's main attractions - the marvellous Bolshoi Theatre, yew simply cant leave Moscow without taking in its breathtaking architecture. Engrained in the fabric of Russia's cultural heritage, virtuoso performers such as prima ballerina Galina Ulanova, opera singer Feodor Chaliapin and pianist, composer and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff once stood centre stage of this vaunted institution.
• The memorial complex on Poklonnaya Hill was constructed in the glory and honour of our heroes who defended our nation in the many crucial battles of the Great Patriotic War (WWII). This is a place that embodies a particularly acute and inextricable link between older ancf younger generations. Moving on to the Moscow International Business Centre, not dubbed ‘Moscow City' for nothing, a true glimpse of the future in the present. This incredible, rather jaw-dropping project in the capital has shown that Moscow has come to accept the age of the skyscraper.
