It’s hard to believe that just 20 years ago, there were hardly any New Hampshire breweries beyond Budweiser. Boy, have times changed — there are now more than 70 craft breweries in New Hampshire!

If you enjoy visiting breweries, you are going to LOVE New Hampshire. Here it seems like a quirky new brewery pops up every few months!

And it’s WAY more than New England IPAs up here. New Hampshire is a state that tends to break the mold whenever possible, and you’ll find everything from traditional Czech pilsners to marshmallow fluff-infused sours in New Hampshire!

There’s a brewery for every mood. Let’s take a look.

This post was most recently updated in May 2023.

New Hampshire Breweries Map

There are breweries all over the state of New Hampshire, in every single region of the state. Use the map above to find the nearest brewery (or more likely, several nearest breweries) near you!

Most of these breweries are open several days a week. Keep in mind that Tuesday is a popular day for places to be closed in New Hampshire. Some smaller breweries are only open on the weekends.

Also, keep in mind that New Hampshire breweries are introducing new beers all the time. If you find a new favorite, enjoy it while you can and get ready for something new and delicious!

We at New Hampshire Way believe most breweries are for adults, but brewery restaurants with a kids’ menu like Moat Mountain Brewery in North Conway are a good option for families.

Some of the best breweries in New Hampshire are in the White Mountains ! We love Rek-Lis Brewing in Bethlehem, Woodstock Inn Brewery in North Woodstock, and Schilling Brewing Company in Littleton.

In Portsmouth we happen to love Great Rhythm Brewing for the outdoor setting and sour beers. Don’t miss breweries just outside Portsmouth like Throwback Brewery .

We are big fans of Twin Barns Brewing in Meredith, and just down the road are Woodman’s Brewery and Shacketts Brewery in nearby Bristol.

15 Best New Hampshire Breweries

How did we narrow this list down to the top 15? We at New Hampshire Way are working our way through all 70+ NH breweries, and each of them have something great to offer.

For this specific list, we chose to highlight some of the breweries that we thought had something extra special to offer, whether that was unusual beers, a unique atmosphere, or staff that make you feel right at home.

There’s no doubt that our list of favorites will continue to grow, so be sure to keep coming back!

A warm, wooden bar with twinkling lights. A bartender pours a beer in the background.

Post & Beam Brewing

40 Grove St., Peterborough, NH // 603-784-5681

postandbeambrewery.com

We at New Hampshire Way are huge fans of Peterborough, such a beautiful New England village that it inspired the play Our Town ! You can come to Peterborough for antiquing, visiting the excellent Mariposa Museum, or enjoying the Peterborough Diner — but we especially love Post & Beam Brewing.

A door at the back of Peterborough’s historic GAR Hall leads you up a staircase to a warm room, all wood and iron and warm, blinking lights. It feels like a part of history, and it is — it was founded as a secondary school in 1837, and later served as a veterans organization.

But you’re here for the beer — and they’ve got a lot of great beer here, with bartenders happy to chat about their favorites. Pull up a seat at the bar and have a chat with your bartender!

Beers to Try: The Our Town New England IPA is what started it all, and remains the top seller at the brewery. It’s juicy and citrusy with soft bitterness. This beer is exclusive to the brewery — they don’t even fill growlers!

The Unbearable Lightness of Pilsner is the brewer’s favorite: a clean and crisp Czech pilsner with a touch of bitterness. We loved the Half Time Pulse, a savory-sour Gose with hints of salt and coriander. Bandit Hat, the dry stout, is roasty and smooth with deep coffee flavors.

Know Before You Go: Limited food options, outside food welcome, kids welcome, outdoor space, events

Schilling Beer Company

18 Mill St., Littleton, NH // 603-444-4800

schillingbeer.com

Head to the White Mountains , mention an interest in beer and soon you’ll be hearing, “Oh, are you going to Schilling?” from everyone you meet. Yes, Schilling is both well-known and beloved in the White Mountains. People come from afar to try the great beers here.

While many New Hampshire breweries are going all in on IPAs, Schilling has a different approach: this place is all about progressive European-inspired small batch brewing. Here you’re likelier to find a variety of Czech pilsners than and endless array of NEIPAs!

The brewery is idyllically situated, right by the Ammonoosuc River in a mill building overlooking a covered bridge. It’s almost too small town New England for words. The outdoor sitting here is lovely; indoors is cozy on a chilly day. There is a tasting room and retail store as well.

Either way, be sure to stay for dinner — Schilling serves excellent wood-fired pizzas, some of the best in the White Mountains.

Beers to Try: Schilling is all about Czech, German, Austrian, and Belgian beers. Of all the Czech pilsners, our favorite was the Palmovka, sharp and sweet with hops on the end.

We also loved their Schlaumeier Hefeweizen, fresh and smooth, and their Konstantin Austrian-style Märzen, with deep and complex layers. The Poppy’s Moonship Gose, made with black current, cara cara orange, and their house culture, is the closest you get to beer for dessert.

Know Before You Go: Food served, kids welcome, outdoor space, store on premises

Woodman’s Brewery

195 Peaked Hill Rd., Bristol, NH // 603-744-3669

woodmansbrewery.square.site

You’d be forgiven for thinking you took a wrong turn on the way to Woodman’s Brewery. Take a turn down a road in Bristol — a town where you may or may not have phone signal — and it feels like the woods is encroaching further and further around you, until a little cottage appears.

Woodman’s is an oasis in the woods — and it’s truly a family business. Son ** is the brewmaster; Dad ** helps with the brewing and also makes the fine paddles you see. Daughter Sandra is behind the counter; Mom ** pops in too.

On the weekends, the small indoor bar area is full of local fans and beer aficionados who venture down from Lake Winnipesaukee to sample the brews, play a board game or two, and enjoy one of the best small New Hampshire breweries.

Beers to Try: The bar patrons urged us to sample the Fireglow Irish Red, one of the local favorites, rich with a great mouthfeel. The Oishii Ale is a quirky offering: a Japanese-style pilsner made with barley and rice, almost with a cream of wheat aftertaste.

But the best-selling beer of all is Woody’s Maple Cream, a gentle, creamy ale with a maple flavor that lingers on the palate. The Woodman family also makes their own maple syrup.

Throwback Brewery

7 Hobbes Rd., North Hampton, NH // (603) 379-2317

throwbackbrewery.com

Located in Hobbs Farm, on 12 acres in North Hampton, Throwback Brewery believes that people deserve to know where their food comes from. A women-owned brewery, owners Annette Lee and Nicole Carrier founded the brewery with the goal of sourcing 100% of their ingredients within a 200-mile radius.

They’re well on their way, with all beers at 70-99% local ingredients. And the setting won’t let you forget it — this brewery is in the middle of a farm, with an expansive outdoor space, that makes you truly appreciate what you’re drinking!

In addition to the brewery, Throwback offers everything from drop-in yoga classes to live music performances and ice skating in the winter. Or simply come in to enjoy some beer flights and their gastropub!

Beers to Try: Whether you want a solid IPA or something more outlandish, there’s plenty on tap here. The Keep NH Brewing is a solid cloudy IPA. The Cashmere Track Suit is a juicy IPA with hints of pineapple and citrus.

On the wilder end, we loved the Spicy Bohemian — a Czech pilsner infused with jalapeños for a spicy aftertaste that lingers. The Cheek Squeezer is a sour blonde ale that packs a punch.

Know Before You Go: Food served, kids welcome, outdoor space, events, live music

Woodstock Inn Brewery

135 Main St., North Woodstock, NH // (603) 745-3951

woodstockinnbrewery.com

Woodstock Inn Brewery wears many hats. Located in North Woodstock on the edge of Franconia Notch and the town of Lincoln in the White Mountains, Woodstock Inn is one of the best boutique hotels in the region, while serving up delicious craft beers and excellent cuisine at their on-site restaurant.

If you’ve been out hiking all day, or exploring sights along the Kancamagus Highway , this is a great place to replenish your energy with a beer flight and their excellent nachos.

Or if you’re visiting in the winter, the fireplace is the perfect place to curl up with your favorite brew, or you could even try out one of the heated outdoor beer tents!

Beers to Try: We were surprised at how much we loved the Pig’s Ear, a brown ale with notes of toffee, caramel and chocolate. Don’t miss their 4000-footer IPA, arguably the most New Hampshire beer name ever, or the Mosaic Papaya Pale Ale.

And they don’t shy away from the even more outlandish. We tried a Mango Milkshake IPA, which our notes read “so weird that it works.”

Four beers labeled "Copper Pig Brewery" in a wooden holder, with a view over a river with a red brick building in the background.

Copper Pig Brewery

1 Middle St., Lancaster, NH // 603-631-2273

copperpigbrewery.com

We’ve got to hand it to Copper Pig Brewery — they may have the coolest venue in all of New Hampshire. The brewery sits inside Lancaster’s most impressive building, a former bank that sat empty for 10 years. Enjoy the ornate interior — hilariously, the vault is the beer chilling room! — or enjoy a beer outside overlooking the Israel River.

Talking to owner Mike, a longtime home brewer who “put six taps in [his] kitchen and threw a lot of parties,” this brewery’s success has coincided with the resurgence of Lancaster, a town in the Great North Woods on the edge of the White Mountains whose population has begun growing again.

Come here for a sampler and one of the many dishes featuring pulled pork. They smoke all their meats on site, too.

Beers to Try: We enjoyed the Lars 007 Double IPA, brimming with deep hop flavor. The Cashmere APA is an easy drinking beer with hints of candied lime. And the peach sour? Get ready for that to blow your mouth wide open!

Know Before You Go: Restaurant, outdoor space

Branch and Blade Brewing

17 Bradco St., Keene, NH // 603-354-3478

babbrewing.com

Run by two college friends who opened on Cinco de Mayo 2018, Branch and Blade’s mission is to constantly innovate in the world of craft beer, and push their creativity to the limits.

Keene may be all about it’s fun downtown area — but Branch and Blade Brewing is worth the short drive away. This brewery turns out some of the wackiest beers we’ve ever seen.

And they definitely have the creativity down! The beers are often strange but work so well, and the names are tongue-in-cheek. The bartender told us about one of their former bestsellers: “If the Glove Fits,” made with orange juice. It took us a second to get it.

Beers to Try: Take advantage of Branch and Blade’s unusual offerings. We were thrilled by the Love Comes Back, a fruited Gose meant to evoke a mimosa. The Psychedelic Love is an explosively sour blend of blackberry, raspberry, mango, tangerine, and marshmallow fluff.

More traditional? The Born Sinner is their flagship IPA, nice and hoppy; the Heaven & Earth is a subtle Kolsch that makes a good gateway to IPAs.

Candia Road Brewing Co

840 Candia Rd., Manchester, NH // 603-935-8123

candiaroadbrewingco.com

Located in a cozy yellow cottage just off the highway, Candia Road Brewing Co in Manchester has been turning out a variety of interesting beers since 2010. From the moment you walk in, you’ll feel like you’ve been coming here for years.

They wanted to create a laid-back atmosphere where you can enjoy excellent beers, and they definitely deliver. Chat with the friendly bartenders, grab a seat with friends by the fireplace, or even get up to play the piano if you’d like! (They also might be the only New Hampshire brewery with a Van de Graaff generator on site.)

And if you’re a vegan beer-lover, this is the New Hampshire brewery for you — they have a vegan chef, several vegan food offerings on the menu like a tofu banh mi and a vegan chorizo sorta, and are aiming for a goal of every dish on the menu being veganizable.

Beers to Try: You’ve got quite a lot to choose from here. We really enjoyed the That Ain’t Mars, an Oktoberfest Märzen-style that’s an annual fall favorite. The You Proppin? is a Czech Pilsner with a bit of a bitter polish; the Taj Mohair is a flavor-filled Harvest ale that doesn’t overdose itself in pumpkin, the way so many others do.

Rek-Lis Brewing Company

2085 Main St., Bethlehem, NH // 603 991-2357

reklisbrewing.com

Are you finishing a day of hiking or skiing in the White Mountains? It’s hard to think of a better place to refuel than Rek-Lis Brewing Company in Bethlehem. This brewery and restaurant welcomes you with nice gardens and a cozy porch, making you feel like you’ve come home.

Owners Ian and Marlaina say it best: “If there’s a mountain in our path, we’ll climb it…At the end of it all, give us a beer. We’ll drink it, and then we’ll want to brew a better one!”

Refuel with their selection of ever-changing beers, and top it off with a nice burger or some poutine. This place knows how to do good post-hiking food!

Beers to Try: Beers at Rek-Lis are continuously changing, but we enjoyed a few IPAs, including the Hare Splitter and the Clouded Judgment, a sweet and hazy New England IPA. Time your visit right and you could end up with the Jack-a-Rowe, a pumpkin and yam beer, or the Love Lulu Chocolate Cherry Stout.

Moat Mountain Brewing Company

3378 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH // 603-356-6381

moatmountain.com

What pleased us the most at Moat Mountain Brewing Company? The sheer size of the beer flight! Here we got eight different beers in a single flight — that’s the most we’ve seen anywhere in New Hampshire.

Moat Mountain has been in the brewing game for quite some time, making their beer down the street in a barn in Intervale. But beyond that, they’ve built one of the favorite local restaurants in North Conway, featuring smoked meats in any form you can imagine. (We at New Hampshire Way are big fans of the brussels sprouts appetizer and the Texas-style chili.)

If it were only about the beers, Moat Mountain would be one of our favorite breweries in New Hampshire — but when you add in the fantastic food, Moat Mountain is one of our favorite things to do in North Conway . Be sure to make a stop here.

Beers to try: We loved the Bone Shaker Brown Ale, with nutty caramel and chocolate notes. If you like your stouts strong without being too sweat or creamy, you’ll love the Square Tail Stout. And the Hoffman Weiss was a revelation — a white ale with banana flavors, that shouldn’t work but somehow came out great!

An old-fashioned red convertible parked in front of Great Rhythm Brewing's big gray warehouse-like location.

Great Rhythm Brewing Company

105 Bartlett St, Portsmouth, NH // 603-430-9640

greatrhythmbrewing.com

There’s nothing like New Hampshire’s Seacoast during the summer months, and one of our favorite breweries to visit when it’s warm out is Great Rhythm in Portsmouth. While we love coming here year-round, you can’t beat the outdoor setting, with umbrella-shaded picnic tables overlooking North Mill Pond.

But perhaps the first thing you’ll notice here is the music. Great Rhythm’s owners, Kristen and Scott Thornton, are all about sharing their love of music with their visitors, always discovering new tracks, playlists, and genres.

They love their hazy New England IPAs here, but are always experimenting with new offerings.

Beers to Try: The Soundcheck is their flagship IPA, with new and vibrant Soundcheck variations every now and then. At the time of our most recent visit, Great Rhythm was on a sour kick, with varieties like the Lemonberry Squish, a cranberry-tangerine-cherry sour simply called Bliss, and the peachy Pêche Floue.

An old-fashioned red barn brewery with an attached wooden deck.

Twin Barns Brewing

194 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith, NH // 603-279-0876

twinbarnsbrewing.com

Looking for a nearby brewery on your trip to Lake Winnipesaukee? Twin Barns Brewing is located a stone’s throw from downtown Meredith and Weirs Beach . Owners Dave Picarillo and Bruce Walton grew up in Boston and spent their summers on the lake, achieving their long-held dream of bringing craft beer to the place they loved.

We love the space here: a bright red barn from the 1850s with a big, spacious interior and a covered outdoor space. There’s a selection of board games if you want to make an afternoon of it (especially on a rainy day on Lake Winnipesaukee).

While we wouldn’t describe Twin Barns as a full restaurant, they have a surprisingly big menu, including a kids’ menu. Checking so many boxes, this is one brewery we are glad to have in the heart of the Lakes Region!

Beers to Try: If you like your IPAs, be sure to try the Lake Cruiser, their hazy double New England IPA, with lots of intense hop flavor. We also enjoyed the Sandbar, a strong yet delicate blonde ale that made for easy drinking alongside their menu.

Please Drive Safely

New Hampshire is a state where people get around by driving. If you plan on visiting a brewery — or especially multiple breweries — please be sure to have a designated driver.

However, if you don’t want to have a designated driver, our recommendation is to go brewery-hopping in Portsmouth, Manchester, or Nashua, and get around with a combination of walking and Ubers or taxis.

Portsmouth’s five breweries are within walking distance of each other; Manchester’s and Nashua’s breweries are a bit more spread out and you’ll need an Uber.

Please don’t ruin your life, or many other people’s lives, by driving while intoxicated. We want you to enjoy these New Hampshire breweries safely!

2023 Update: A previous version of this article recommended White Birch Brewing , Hoptimystic Brewing, Aigean Ales, Tilton Brothers Brewing, and Smuttlelabs Brewery, all of which are now closed.

Go Behind the Scenes at a Budweiser Brewery in New Hampshire

You Might Even Meet Budweiser's Famous Clydesdales

new hampshire brewery tours

Kim Knox Beckius

Budweiser is America's—and maybe even the world's—most recognizable beer brand, but many New England visitors don't realize that Anheuser-Busch has a manufacturing and bottling facility in Merrimack, New Hampshire , where beer fans can drink, eat, go behind the scenes for a brewery experience and even meet the famous Budweiser Clydesdales a few times each year when the East Coast Traveling Hitch is home resting up for its next parade or other appearance.

If you're a beer fan, the Anheuser-Busch factory in Merrimack is the largest of the best breweries to visit in New Hampshire and a place to marvel at modern mechanization and the scale of production. The Budweiser Brewery has been operating in New Hampshire for nearly 50 years, and while changes in 2019 eliminated some of the facility's cherished offerings (including free brewery tours for all ages and daily visit with the Clydesdales), there are still reasons to include a Merrimack stop on your New Hampshire itinerary.

Reserve Your Brewery Tour

Free Budweiser brewery tours are no longer offered in Merrimack, but that doesn't mean you can't get a look at the beermaking process. Visitors now have two options, available Wednesday through Sunday:

The Beermaster Tour : Buy tickets online ($35 for ages 21 and up, $10 for guests ages 13 to 20, no younger children allowed) for this in-depth and educational experience that incorporates a full tour of the brewing plant including the chance to see the brew house, the lager cellar, the ale cellar, and the packaging facility, plus bonus treats including the chance to taste fresh beer directly from a finishing tank (if you're 21+). Beermaster Tour participants also leave with a a variety of commemorative gifts.

The Bud Light Tour : Purchase tickets online ($10 for adults 21 and up, $5 for guests ages 3 to 20, and free for children under 3) for this factory tour focused on company history and the brewing process for Bud Light: the top-selling beer in the world. You'll step inside the brew house, the lager cellar, the ale cellar, and the finishing cellar; watch the mesmerizing bottling process through observation windows; sample Bud Light straight from the finished beer tank (if you're 21+); and enjoy an additional sample of a beer crafted on-site when the tour concludes in the hospitality room.

Private group tours are an option in New Hampshire, as well.

Meet the Clydesdales... Maybe

The Budweiser Clydesdales are the beverage industry's most recognizable mascots, and you can sometimes meet these famous horses by visiting the Clydesdale Hamlet at Anheuser-Busch's brewery in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

In 1933, August A. Busch, Jr. gave a hitch of Clydesdales to his father in celebration of the resumption of brewing in St. Louis following the repeal of Prohibition. Clydesdales, a powerful breed of draft horses, originated in the Clyde valley of Scotland, and they are known for the distinctive, feathery hair on their fetlocks—the lower parts of their legs above and behind the hooves.

If you've never heard of the Budweiser Clydesdales, then you've probably been living in a cave for several decades. These high-stepping horses make hundreds of public appearances each year in addition to appearing in television commercials and other Budweiser beer advertising.

The hitch of Clydesdales that calls New Hampshire home is one of several owned by Budweiser, which offers tours of three of its U.S. breweries . Unfortunately, as of January 1, 2019, New Hampshire is no longer where young Clydesdales are trained, and that means opportunities to see the horses in the picturesque stables here are limited. The Clydesdale training facility was relocated to Warm Springs Ranch in Booneville, Missouri, and now Merrimack is only home to the East Coast Traveling Hitch. The team is home in New Hampshire just a couple of times each year, and while they are out performing up and down the East Coast, there are no Clydesdales on the property.

Drink and Eat at the Biergarten

If you're sad there are no Clydesdales to see, you can drown your sorrows at the Biergarten, where you'll discover that Budweiser is the brewer behind many more craft beer labels than you realized. There's a fun menu of food to pair with your choice of brews, and when the fire pits are lit, you can even toast marshmallows for S'mores.

The Budweiser brewery is located at 221 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, New Hampshire, which is between Nashua and Manchester. Follow the Everett Turnpike/Route 3 to exit 10, then travel east on Industrial Drive to a left on Daniel Webster Highway.

After graduation they wished each other well but parted ways Dane headed to San Francisco and became a full-time head brewer at a leading gastropub. Dagan however, stayed in the area and managed restaurants in Portsmouth.  The two kept in touch and years later Dane returned to NH and Liars Bench Beer Company opened its doors. The brewery is small and housed in an old plumbing supply warehouse. MERRIMACK, NH

Our Merrimack Brewery celebrated its 50th Anniversary brewing beer in New Hampshire in 2020. When it first opened in 1970, the brewery brewed two brands. Now it brews 20 different brands, including Bass and Redbridge, our gluten-free beer, which are brewed exclusively by the team in Merrimack.

Over the course of the past 50 years, the Merrimack brewery has won more Global Budweiser cups and Brewmaster Cups than any of its sister breweries. If that wasn't impressive enough, as part of our commitment to driving sustainability from seed-to-sip, the team at Merrimack has reduced water usage at the brewery by 66% since 2000!

2024 NFL Draft grades for every team: Patriots, Chiefs with awesome hauls; Cowboys, others receive poor marks

Let's grade every club's 2024 draft class.

nfldraft-v3.png

The 2024  NFL Draft has concluded, which means only one thing -- draft grades are here. Below you will find the full draft classes for all 32 teams with individual grades, analysis for every class and a final overall grade. This is my seminal analysis every year.

The first-round grades are from Pete Prisco.  Just about all of the individual grades were from me starting in Round 2 through Mr. Irrelevant at the end of the draft. Any grades with an asterisk were from my guy Josh Edwards.

For these team grades, I'm not utilizing an intricate formula, but I am taking the average of each individual grade with more weight given to the earlier picks. And factoring in my own grades for Round 1 picks.

Let's get to it.

Arizona Cardinals

Holy gigantic class for the Cardinals. But I love it. The more rolls at the table, the better. Harrison is an instant 1,000-yard "X" receiver, Robinson can make noise Year 1 if he's deployed inside more than on the edge, and Trey Benson was my RB1 in this class. So fast and elusive.

Reiman is enormous and provided glimmers of receiving prowess, and the Melton and Jones pairing gives the Cardinals two highly explosive outside cornerbacks. Thomas can be a useful situational outside rusher, and Jones has starter upside. Arizona added athletic specimens at a variety of positions to a roster that desperately needed an infusion of sheer talent. Go have a beer, or two, Monti Ossenfort. On me. You crushed this draft.

  Grade: A-

Atlanta Falcons

There's no one right way to build a team, and let's such say my drafting philosophy doesn't jive with Falcons GM Terry Fontenot. And that's fine. The Penix pick makes my head hurt, and a sizable trade up for a defensive tackle in Round 2? Don't get me wrong, Orhorhoro was one of my favorite interior rushers -- he's big, strong, and explosive -- but trading multiple picks to get him?

Trice and Dorlus have a distinct possibility to become the two best value selections from this class. They're so diverse in how they can get to the quarterback from their respective positions, and Dorlus can align anywhere. Bertand is heady but misses too many tackles for my liking, and Washington is an inflexible back-shoulder type. And no cornerback?!

Baltimore Ravens

Even with trusty right-hand man Joe Hortiz now GM'ing the Chargers, Ravens shot-caller Eric Costa once again proved why he's one of the shrewest GMs in the league with this draft haul.

Wiggins absolutely flies and has serious man-to-man coverage capabilities. Rosengarten is another high-caliber athlete at a vital position. Isaac was a bit of a gamble, but the payoff could be massive, and the same is true for Walker. If nothing else, he can be a serious vertical threat in a sizable frame. This offense needs that. Tampa is a little stiff but plays with that classic Ravens physicality at the line of scrimmage.

Samac gives me major Bradley Bozeman vibes. Late-round selection with awesome balance and run-game mastery. Leary has a strong arm and can connect on anticipatory throws. Not a super sexy class. But a job well done.

Buffalo Bills

Coleman didn't do it for me on film. For his size and athletic profile -- and he's not stiff, just doesn't routinely get open -- I expected him to be more dominant in traffic tracking the ball deep. Buffalo then countered with a stellar selection -- Bishop in Round 2. He's going to be a star with Sean McDermott.

Carter is high-floor rusher, and the Bills had a sneaky need at defensive tackle because Ed Oliver was previously the only upfield interior rusher on the roster. I would've gone in many other directions instead of Davis. After that, Van-Pran Granger can be a high-caliber starter in time, and Ulofoshio is a smooth operator, another with a high floor. Solomon is the exact type of smaller, bendier outside rusher this roster has desperately needed, and Hardy is uber-talented at cornerback. My disagreement with the first selection sinks this grade a bit, and I'm surprised they didn't double-dip at receiver.

Carolina Panthers

I'm afraid the Panthers drafted Jonathan Mingo 2.0 with Legette in Round 2. Brooks is a premier talent -- although I think the hype went a little out of control late in the process. I would've liked to see a better pure separator for Bryce Young , even after signing Diontae Johnson in free agency.

Wallace is a fun, active linebacker but has some rawness to his game, and Sanders' film wasn't as tremendous as I expected for a former top recruit with quality production at Texas. Smith-Wade can be the best player from this class because of his twitch and feistiness as a tackler.

Chicago Bears

Small but impactful class from Ryan Poles, and he added a pick late by trading a fourth-round pick in 2025 to get a high-upside outside rusher, which was a clear need.

Williams and Odunze can be a tremendous duo at the two most vital positions in the game today, and Amegadjie can be a powerful tackle or guard thanks to his girth, length, leg churn, and, simply, how much nastiness exudes off his body when he's getting after it.

Wasn't a gigantic fan of a punter -- never am in the draft -- but Taylor was clearly the most talented punter in the class.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals attacked their needs with authority in this class. Defensive tackle. Tight end. Edge rusher. Even added a pair of offensive linemen, and started with Mims who, if healthy, can eventually be the best blocker from this class.

Jenkins and Jackson are two different defensive tackle types. Jenkins was the finest run defender in the class. Jackson is a nose tackle by frame and has three-technique talent getting up the field after the quarterback. I am a tick concerned about his poor workout.

Burton is not your classic Round 3 receiver -- he has borderline first-round talent as one of the truly premier vertical threat. All and McLachlan are two reasonable talented pass-catching tight ends, and keep an eye on Johnson as an ascending rusher who can climb the depth chart because of his explosiveness and glimpses of hand work.

Cleveland Browns

I hardly noticed the Browns didn't have a first-round pick in this draft because of the fine job GM Andrew Berry and Co. did. Hall has the goods to eventually become the finest defensive tackle from this class. Oh yeah, Zinter. I didn't love that pick. He's very stiff and coming off an injury.

After that, Thrash was spectacular at Louisville at all three levels because of his twitch, route-running nuance, and run-after-the-catch creativity. Watson is a towering off-ball linebacker who rarely misses a tackle in the box, and Harden is a magnificent athlete who can outplay his draft position. Briggs has an athletic frame and penetrating style. Sneaky-good class from Cleveland.

Dallas Cowboys

I, personally, am not sure what the Cowboys are doing. Ok, well I do know they stood by their word and attempted to rebuild the offensive line. I commend that. I loved Beebe in Round 2 and particularly Thomas in Round 7.

Guyton is very much a project who doesn't quite play to his workout. Kneeland is another project-y type who never came close to dominating in the MAC. Liufau plays with his hair on fire. I like that. Minimal coverage chops beyond following crossers, and he misses tackles at too high a rate for my liking.

Flournoy can be the gem of this class. Size, burst, long speed, and power through contact. It's all there with him, and the receiver group did need a little jolt.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos did admirable work even without a second-round pick, although I don't have as much confidence in Nix as Sean Payton.

Elliss is a supercharged edge rusher with untapped potential around the corner. Franklin, and particularly Abrams-Draine, have the refined skill sets to be stars as Day 3 selections. Estime has unusual wiggle for being a crazy-wide powerful rusher. This was a class in which the Broncos had to add weapons beyond getting a quarterback, and they did that. Plus, they didn't mortgage the future in landing said quarterback,

Detroit Lions

The Lions were ultra aggressive in this draft, which aligns with the demeanor of Dan Campbell. Not a brilliant idea team-building wise, however the Lions are clearly very close. Rakestraw plays with similar chippiness.

Arnold is squeaky clean and has upside because of his complete game. Vaki is such an energetic safety who can do everything in any defensive back position. He's just small. Wingo can get up the field from the inside. For as much as I love what the Lions have done over the past three years, especially in the draft, after the back-to-back cornerback picks, I didn't love what Detroit did in this draft.

Green Bay Packers

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst has become my draft spirit animal. Loads of picks every year. Always takes fliers on athletic offensive linemen in the middle of the draft and Day 3 and constantly swings trades to move up and down the board.

Morgan was picked a tick early, while Cooper needs to improve in coverage but has freaky athleticism ranging to the football. Lloyd is the perfect add to Matt LaFleur's zone-blocking scheme because he's thick with elite burst and wiggle. Williams is one of the most active safeties in the class, and Oladapo is a true specimen at the same position. Matchup with tight end type.

After going skill-position heavy the past few years in the draft, Gutekunst prioritized the trenches and building out the secondary.

Houston Texans

Nothing incredibly flashy here from GM Nick Caserio, but the flash came earlier this offseason, didn't it? Lassiter is your classic, well-coached Georgia cornerback. Fisher is a tremendous combo blocker and Bullock has ridiculous middle-of-the-field range.

Stover will be a useful tight end for a decade. The next few picks after that were questionable, but I am fascinated to see if Byrd plays as athletically as he looked on the field or to his epically bad workout.

Indianapolis Colts

GM Chris Ballard has a thing for athleticism, and I dig that. But in the past he's picked extreme athletes who weren't actually good football players. Latu has an incredibly high ceiling because of his pass-rush arsenal, Mitchell was a fantastic find at No. 52, and Goncalves can be a quality swing tackle or guard.

Bortolini has potential because of his athletic chops, and Gould ab-so-lutely flies down the field. Carlies and Simpson are two totally different safeties. I love adding the blend of a rangy middle-of-the-field type and an in-the-box masher.

Jacksonville Jaguars

After Thomas Jr. in Round 1, which happened after a trade back, I liked but didn't love what the Jaguars did. Smith has immense upside but never quite put it together at LSU, and Jones was one of the better nickel corners in the class. Foster has girth to play with power consistently. After that, their Day 3 picks left a lot to be desired in my estimation. Just minimal upside with those selections.

Kansas City Chiefs

GM Brett Veach went on a heater with this draft class. Worthy and Suamataia were two awesome additions, even if the latter has some rough edges to his game right now. Wiley can really separate at the tight end position, and I think the Chiefs know a thing or two about that type of tight end.

Hicks had no business going in Round 4. He's an intimidating do-everything safety. Nourzad is a true battler at center, and Hanson gave me Cole Strange vibes when I watched his Holy Cross film. With some huge offensive line contracts upcoming for the Chiefs, this was a smart class.

Los Angeles Chargers

Rollercoaster draft for the Chargers. I wasn't as high on Alt as everyone else but certainly understood him going at No. 5. McConkey is a fun separator with deceptive run-after-the-catch talent. But then, I didn't see it with Colson outside of how stellar of a tackler he was.

After that, it took until the Round 6 selection of Vidal for me to get back on board with this draft. And Vidal can eventually become the RB1 there in Los Angeles. You heard it here first. Rice and Johnson are essentially the same receiver, but Rice has more downfield juice. They aren't get-open pass catchers but Linear downfield assets.

Los Angeles Rams

Les Snead is one of the most underrated GMs in the NFL . He proved that again with this draft. The Florida State duo with the first two picks -- spectacular. Older but instant-impact types. Neither Corum nor Kinchens are premier athletes; they just handle their jobs at a high level. Jackson has some upside as a thick but sleek edge rusher, and Davis is one of the preeminent run-stopping defensive tackles in this class.

Oh, and Limmer is an eventual starter given his time destroying worlds in the SEC as an explosive and powerful pivot.

Las Vegas Raiders

GM Tom Telesco got another opportunity to run a draft and did not squander it. Bowers fell into their lap, and everyone thought Powers-Johnson would be a first-round pick. Glaze is a smooth athlete who can stay at tackle, and Richardson is a long plus athlete, which is precisely what this defense desperately needs to add. Eichenberg already plays like he's a five-year veteran, and, vitally, makes plays in coverage with good regularity.

Laube will outplay his draft position because of his receiving talent and deceptive side-to-side juking skill. Taylor and Devonshire have the athleticism to outplay their respective draft positions.

Miami Dolphins

I like many of the prospects the Dolphins picked, but their plan was somewhat confusing. Robinson was my EDGE1. Sensible. Paul is the opposite of a scheme fit for what McDaniel asks of his blockers. Wright is a rocket when given space, which is fun, but now the running back room is super crowded.

I'm all about adding more weapons at receiver today, but two slot types? Although Malik Washington was a second-round talent on my board, which is why I gave that a perfect grade.

  Grade: B-

Minnesota Vikings

We have to applaud the Vikings for not having to trade the farm to get a quarterback in this class. Essentially, McCarthy fell into their lap. Turner's upside is through the roof. But the trade up was expensive, especially considering what they traded to originally obtain the No. 23 pick.

Jackson is the ideal long, press-man cornerback for Brian Flores to deploy, and Rouse can eventually become a powerful tackle. Reichard will represent an upgrade at kicker.

  Grade: B+

New England Patriots

The first non-Bill Belichick draft in 20-plus years for the Patriots went... amazingly. I'm serious. Maye at No. 3. Spectacular. Polk is a fun, versatile piece who tracks the ball awesomely, as does the fourth-round pick Baker, who has future No. 1 wideout upside.

Robinson has a tremendous burst and power combination at guard, and Bell was the steal of the seventh-round. I have no idea how he lasted this far into the draft. He's a chiseled and athletic yards-after-the-catch weapon.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints needed offensive tackle badly and added two big, powerful ones with their first and last picks in this draft. The McKinstry trade up was costly, but he is a first-round talent with a high floor. Rattler is a nice roll of the dice in Round 4, and Means can be another downfield weapon for Derek Carr in this offense. That was needed beyond Rashid Shaheed .

New York Giants

The Giants' theme was pinpointing big-time athletes in this class. Nabers was my WR1, so fine start there. Phillips was one of the most impressive plant-and-drive corner in the class, and Johnson was the most athletic tight end with his best football in front of him.

Tracy can threaten Devin Singletary for the RB1 and, if he can shore up his tackling, Muasau's play-recognition skills are spectacular. He beats blockers with relative ease, too.

New York Jets

Fashanu and Corley to start -- magnificent. Allen is the best pass protection back in this class and has effortless power through contact given his supreme size. I didn't understand why New York would then add another running back a round later. Travis is an ascending quarterback with improvisational skill who can throw with anticipation.

Philadelphia Eagles

GM Howie Roseman knows how to balance the draft as well as any GM in the league. Sometimes he's ultra aggressive, other times he trades back multiple times and lets the draft come to him. Either way, it always feels like quality prospects fall into his lap, doesn't it?

Mitchell AND DeJean? HELLO. Hunt has immense upside based on what he showed in 2023 at Houston Baptist, which came after a switch from safety at Cornell. Smith and Wilson are two divergent specimens but both experienced productive collegiate careers at marquee programs. And Trotter has the coverage ability and range to be a star in Philadelphia, just like his dad.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers absolutely needed to address the offensive line in this draft, and did exactly that. Fautanu didn't do it for me on film because of his lack of strength, but his mobility unquestionably jumped off the film. Frazier is an instant starter at center, and the Wilson duo in Round 3 perfectly filled needs.

McCormick feels like a future starter at guard because of his athletic gifts, power, and awareness.

Seattle Seahawks

Scattered draft here from Seattle. Murphy was the finest, most explosive rusher in the class with run-stopping prowess. Haynes is a rocket at guard in an ideal guard frame with length. Barner has the dynamic movement skill and reliable hands to be a better pro than he was in college. Laumea is another masher on the interior. James' feet are lightning quick, and he plays the ball aggressively on a routine basis.

San Francisco 49ers

Very 49ers draft here. Pearsall feels like a future boundary weapon who'll get open with great regularity in Kyle Shanahan's system. Puni can play anywhere along the offensive line, and Mustapha is a chippy, split-field safety. Green is one of the steadiest cornerbacks in the class -- I mean that -- and Cowing has the juice to uncover at all three levels.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I liked the Braswell pick much more than the Barton selection, and McMillan will be a favorite target of Baker Mayfield because of his route-running skill, speed, and ball-tracking talent. Irving has the inherent elusiveness to outplay his draft position and poor pre-draft workout. Smith is a powerful rocket of a safety who tackles like a veteran.

Tennessee Titans

The Latham pick was a bit surprising, yet it wasn't a brutal selection. Sweat in the top 40 was. After that, GM Ran Carthon pieced together a rock-solid haul. Gray is one of the younger but polished off-ball linebackers in the class, and Jackson can really get down the field with elite burst and long speed.

Williams finds the football frequently because of his length and movement skill. Don't sleep on Harrell, either. He's young and really flashed as a pure outside rusher with a diverse set of pass-rush moves at Michigan.

Washington Commanders

GM Adam Peters began his tenure in Washington with a bang. Daniels, Newton, Sainristil, Sinnott, Coleman, McCaffrey. My word. Those are all plus athletes with clean film who excel in their specific roles. Magee is a bendy off-ball linebacker with serious juice, and Hampton, while older, has as much athletic prowess as anyone in the class.
