Hello, We have just returned from the UK, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and excursions, except for the last day in Edinburgh were on the morning of 24th Aug we went to the dinning room with our tour group to find no breakfast, and no porter to help with our luggage, we were drop off at the train station were our tour guide left us at the top of the train station and we were told to make our own way to the platform with all our luggage and no assistance. After fining the correct train there was no assistance what so ever to board the train, and being a bank holiday in the UK the trains were absolutely jam packed a very uncomfortable ride and very disappointed and very hot. Once arriving back into London, we need to unload our own luggage, and had find the Cosmos tour guide ourselves, she was un certain of where to go and what to do due to the public holiday as the pickup point had changed, we had to drag our luggage down some stairs in 32 degree heat, a homeless man luckily assisted us to get down the stairs, there were a couple of elderly gents who were very distressed as you can understand, very unprofessionally organised. We had a wonderful trip but the last day spoiled our vacation, and the 14 other passengers on the tour who were also on the train agreed this should have been better organised knowing it was a public holiday in the UK

We were slightly disappointed that we couldn't go to Stonehenge due to the summer solstice, but our tour guide, Oshan, made sure we got to see some other fantastic and unique stone circles in many places we went. Our 19 seat mini coaches are based on the globally recognised Mercedes Sprinter platform, renowned for its premium build quality, offering a high standard of comfort and safety. Our vehicle features a refined, low emission EURO6 engine, 19 tan leather reclining seats, with USB charging points, 2 tables at the front, optional fast 4G LTE WiFi, LED mood lighting, powerful climate control to stay cool or warm, privacy glass, a radio and PA system, and remote tracking available to clients via a unique log in.

Midi Coaches

Our Midi Coach range exists with discretion and comfort in mind - These small vehicles are ideal for shuttle services and or small group transfers. Our range of 25-29-Seater vehicles are equipped with Full Leather Reclining Seats, 3-Point Seatbelts, Privacy Glass, USB Charge Points, Climate Control, PA System and feature live vehicle tracking.

Standard Coaches

Branded as standard, you’ll find these vehicles are from basic specification. Ranging from 30-53 seats, these coaches benefit from a large luggage capacity ideal for airport transfers and groups travelling in and around London. Varying in specification, all of this range feature seatbelts, privacy glass, powerful air-conditioning, climate control, PA system, remote vehicle track-ing, CCTV and are powered by a low noise & Ultra-Low emission EURO6 engine.

We take huge pride in being the first, and only coach company to offer Fully Electric Zero Emission Coaches. Run solely on battery power and charged on site using a 100% renewable energy supplier, these vehicles are the only option for socially/environmentally responsible travel.

On average, our Ultra-Low Emission coaches produce an exceptionally low 0.456 of NOx g/km, in comparison, these Electric Vehicles produce 0 NOx, 0 CO2, and 0 other emissions. Not only do these 50-Seater Coaches reduce congestion but they can enable drastic improvements in local air quality.

Proving that sustainability and compromise can be separate, our coaches feature half-leather reclining seats, each with it’s own USB charge point, 3 -point seatbelts, air-conditioning & heating, LED lighting, privacy double-glazed glass and a large central double door on the passenger side for ease of access.

With a 200 mile range, and with our on site rapid charger, a mere 2 hours charge time from 0% to 100% - these are hugely appropriate vehicles for any occasion. Executive Coaches

Exceptional storage space combined with a spacious interior for those longer journeys. As the Director of Music at a High School, I have conducted 11 consecutive Music Tours within Europe. This year, we were in Paris 18-23 July when the weather was extremely hot. The party consisted of 68 music students and 7 staff and we performed three concerts in central Paris, whilst visiting the usual tourist hot spots.

Our driver of the 79 seater double decker managed to get us to our destination on time and as close to each concert venue as humanly possible All staff agreed that we don’t think we have ever worked with such a helpful, kind and dedicated driver. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he socialised with us and became part of team throughout, making my job as Tour leader go as smooth as possible. The students loved him as well and that became evident when I witnessed €20 noted being thrown into the collection on the final day. The coach was clean, comfortable and cool with excellent air con throughout. I was also delighted with the size of the trailer, which was huge and provided ample space for our instruments. I am already looking to book Westway coaches again next year.

One infant aged 0-2 travels free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Additional infants aged 0-2 must be paid for. If you are travelling with more than 1 infant aged 0-2, please book the additional infant as 'Children (3-15).

Lovers of fashion and food will feel right at home here. Situated in an area that’s long been associated with traders’ markets, Spitalfields’ heritage as a place to unearth the best bargains sets it apart from most markets in London. Westfield Stratford

Shopaholics are also well catered to, with the options at Westfield’s two London shopping centres in Stratford and White City just as good as Oxford or Regent Street. Buckingham Palace

Just a short walk from Victoria Coach Station, Buckingham Palace is one of London’s most iconic landmarks and the official London residence of the Royals. It’s also one of the best spots to take a winning photo. Try to get there in time for the daily Changing of the Guard, one of the capital’s must-see spectacles – it starts around 11.30am and lasts 45 minutes.

Trafalgar Square

Here you can spot a variety of famous landmarks, including Nelson’s Column, King George IV statue, St. Martins-in-the-Fields church and the fountains, while the more curious among you should pop in to the nearby National Gallery to find a world of exhibits ready to explore. Adult (16+) and Children (3-15)

Children under 14 cannot travel alone unless accompanied by an adult (16+). Please note, you may be required to show proof of age at any point during your journey. Failure to do so, may result in the full adult fare being charged.

Disabled Children

Should be booked as Children. If they are travelling in a wheelchair or require assistance, please call our Assisted Travel Helpline.

We strongly recommend that you bring a car seat appropriate to your child's age, but ask you to take responsibility to fit the seat.

Booster Seats

Children aged between approximately 4-11 years old, or up to 150cm tall, may use booster seats. We carry a limited number onboard most coaches.

If travelling with a child, you may be required to show proof of age when buying tickets or at any point during your journey. Failure to do so may result in the child being required to pay the full fare for the journey on that day.

Senior (60 and over)

Passengers aged 60 and over are entitled to receive a small discount on European journeys. On European journeys a 50% discount is given to carers, please call us on 08717 818177 to book.

We had originally booked a cruise , but after looking into it (I'm much more active on Cruise Critic), found it was not going to be our cup of tea. The boats, all similar Russian built models, are not what one experiences in other countries. The day starts and ends with a long bus ride into and out of the city in rush hour traffic. The tour is in a group trotting behind a guide listening to him or her on headphones. The cruise company warns the walking can be strenuous and they reserve the right to leave anyone behind (red flag). And the cost of the cruise is in the same ballpark as this private tour.

On last year's trip to Hawaii, we booked a private tour on one of the islands. We were picked up by a native Hawaiian in a jeep and he drove us all over the island, showing us things that interested us and passing on stuff that did not. He even stopped at the home of a native Hawaiian family he knew where we sat in the back yard talking and looking out over the ocean while eating banana cream pie she had made from bananas grown in her back yard. We also got a good education in history, flora and fauna as our guide was also a college professor. It was one of the great tours we've had and nothing we could have done in a group or on our own.

I realize from reading these forums that many of the posters take great pride in how independent they are and how much money they can save. What's wrong with saying you plan to see a country in luxury as a once in a lifetime experience. Does everyone have to rough it and save money?

No, please don't take it as a "snark" - I have read your other posts about your wife's condition and I think you are doing exactly the right thing, moreover I applaud her willingness to travel the world when her legs can fail her any moment.

The pride in having taken an independent trip to Russia for most people is not about saving some money but mostly about proving that it IS possible to do it on their own the way they prefer and have a blast despite Western media picturing Russia as a scary and dangerous place.

We've always wanted to visit Russia. It is an especially "mysterious" place to those of our generation who lived through the cold war, which may account for some of our generation having some trepidation about doing it alone, though it is assuredly not warranted.
