Welcome Home

If you are new to Journey Church our Sunday morning experiences are the place to start. It is within these services that you will get a real taste of the life and culture of our church.

Grab a coffee from the Revive coffee shop, make a new friend in the lobby, and head into our worship center for a time of live worship and a shared message from one of our pastors. Our worship is contemporary in style and our messages are relevant to life issues. We hope you will find yourself challenged to take one step further in your relationship with Jesus in any and all services you attend.

What should I expect?

What should i do before i come.

You can enter through either of our main entrances located on the north or south sides of the building directly facing the parking lots.

As you walk in you will be met by our hospitality team greeters who can direct you as needed. Our hospitality team will offer to show you to the Worship Center, adult small groups, or any of our student/children's ministry areas. Whether you have been around church for years or if this is all new to you, we want you to enjoy yourself and get involved at a level you are comfortable with.

What will happen when I am there?

Our desire is for you to feel comfortable and relaxed while you are in church.

Our contemporary worship and atmosphere is very casual, so come as you are. Services start with worship and transition through prayer and/or scripture readings before entering into announcements and a sermon. Right before the start of the sermon we have what we like to call the 4-Minute Connect. This is a time when many of the people in the worship center will stand and greet or converse with one another, walk back to the connections desk to turn in a connect card, or drop off their offering or tithe in a give box. The goal of this connection time is to give everyone a chance to meet someone they may not know or to get to know someone they do know better.

What happens after the sermon?

We believe in the power of experiencing God during services and will often open the altars after each sermon for prayer. There is no pressure to take part in this alter time but it is a chance for you to immediately apply what you've just heard in the message that Sunday morning.

What Happens After Church?

Please feel free to linger at the altar with Jesus or in the lobby and join in fellowship with the rest of our church.

Our team will still be available after services for any questions you may have and our pastors would love to connect and get to know you more!

What If I have Kids?

You are welcome to have them with you in service but we do provide ministries that are tailored to each age level, from infant to 5th grade.

We do not want them to miss out on any of the exciting activities we have planned for them in our Journey Kids Church, located down the north hallway of our building. If you are unfamiliar with our kid's ministries our hospitality team will be ready to help you find your way and take you through the steps of checking in your child or children.

What Should I Wear?

Come as you are! We are excited to have you join us whether it is your Sunday best, worn jeans, or even your favorite team’s jersey. Our heart is people, not perfection.

“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”

Journey Church of Western PA was founded April 22, 2012 for the purpose of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Residing at our current location since October 2015, our mission is to disciple through the teachings of God’s Holy Word.  Our church exists soley for the purpose of bringing individuals to salvation through Jesus Christ.

Tenets of Faith

• We believe that the Bible is inspired scripture of God, an all-sufficient, true source for Christian living. All Scripture is God-Breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth (John 17:17).
• We believe in the one true living God revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Faith in the incarnate Son of God (1 John 5).
• We believe in Salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ having no substitute or alternative. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7). God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood - to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished (Romans 3:25).
• We believe in the making of disciples through the teaching of God's word the Bible. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
• We believe the Church, by its pastors and spiritual elders, is ordained of God to discipline and instruct its members in matters of practical and scriptural living. Dealing with Sin in the Church (Matthew 18:15-19).

Welcome to Journey Church's website! I am glad you have chosen to spend a few moments looking around and discovering our church family. Family and community are the words I use to describe our church. We are all walking this journey of life together.

We are a group of people committed to following Jesus. That means we worship Jesus passionately, commit to live like Him, and love people both in and out of the church no matter where they are at on their journey.

Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcome at our church. And once here, we pray that people will encounter God and through that, give their life to Jesus as Savior. We want you to come as you are and check us out. We are always happy to meet new friends!

Pastor Jeremiah & Victoria

After being a Pastor for 17 years, Pastor Jeremiah and wife Victoria felt led to  launch  Journey Church. The heart of Journey is to be a church who passionately loves God and loves people no matter where they are on their journey!

Journey Church is an  independent, non-denominational church for Believer's of all backgrounds. Anyone who loves to worship God  and  has a hunger for His presence will feel at home.

At Journey, our heart is to teach people of all ages the basic foundations of the Word of God and help them begin to apply God’s principles to their lives. We believe in being a part of strengthening families through relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Christ... our mission is to heal the broken, encourage the hopeless, and love the lost.

We believe in the importance of meeting together for worship. Our services are at 9am & 11am Sundays at 511 Union Street, Hollidaysburg, Pa, 16648. We also believe in doing life together. We encourage you to join a Journey Life Group and strengthen friendships. We also love to get outside the church and have some fun. We want you to join in on all the events that go on throughout the year.

Sunday Morning Worship

From sunday morning worship to table groups, we want you to know you belong at the journey no matter who you are or where you come from or whom you love; we are a community of people made in the image of god we want you to experience the liberative spirit of jesus and find deep belonging with a life-giving faith community., worship service.

At The Journey we have two services at 9 am & 11 am in person and live stream one or both services on Facebook and YouTube. 

You will be greeted by our parking attendant and a greeter at the door.  We have coffee, tea and hot chocolate as you enter the lobby into the worship center. On a typical sunday we have a time of worship, announcements, a sermon and a final song. 

We run on Journey time, so if you are a few minutes late, don’t fret! We probably haven’t started yet.

Journey Kids & Starters

We have a robust  Kids & Starters Ministry  at both services. Our certified, qualified team under the direction of our Director of Kids & Starters, Kyra Gonzalez, has great themes and lessons each month to engage kids at every level. Our Kids room is for ages K-5 and our starters room is for infants to Pre-K. Someone will be at the kids wing to help you check in and get your kid settled in. Check in starts at 8:50 am and 10:50 am every Sunday. 

If you have a little one but would like to keep them during the service we welcome all kids and babies in our worship center as well. Our gathering place is a great place to watch our YouTube live stream as a secondary option for families who might need more room to run around.

We value that our church attendees to come and worship as they can and are able. 

We also value raising up new leaders in our church to support and lead our Sunday morning worship experience! We encourage those who have been with us to consider serving on one of our many sunday morning teams.

Spiritual Formation

• Youth Group

At The Journey, we believe in experiencing God, growing in our faith and living out our mission as disciples of Christ.

The Journey Youth Group is a group for middle school & high school students. We are a community of imperfect people gathered around the love of Jesus, and with the desire to love well. During our time together, we hope to create a space where youth can experience belonging and growth! We meet  Sunday Nights from 6 pm til 8 pm  for a time of games, activities, and discussion.

Refuge College Group

Find your home away from home with our college Ministry led by JR and Dr. Rebecca Harris. The group meets twice a month on campus at the Kim Phipps Admissions Building on the 3rd Floor or at The Harris’ home. Sign up using the link below to get details!

Table Groups

Table Groups are intentional groups within our community that meet regularly in each other’s homes… at the table. Breaking bread with one another, sharing and discussing, developing relationships, and being seen and known as you share life together.

We have seasonal study groups that give deeper into the Bible and helps us go deep with our faith. Check out our groups to see if there’s a study starting soon.
