Sold 800 Euros

I was at the shop in person today and for 800 euro I was given £634.92 when I got home my wife said that can not be right and looked on computer and it said I should have received £681.95!! ????? My wife is an accountant understands money transfers exchange rates etc I will be taking this further especially in the pandemic we are in at this time

We are sorry to hear that you did not receive the amount of GBP that you expected. After reviewing your feedback, we have found that for you to receive £681.95 from 800 EUR's the rate would have to be 1.1731. This rate reflects the 'online rate' which will be preferential to the branch rates. We are able to offer this due to lower overheads, which means we are able to pass any savings onto our customers.

If you would you like to benefit from our great online rates, you would need to place a 'Sell & Collect' on our website.

Bought £220 worth of Euros

Just bout 227 euros at their store in Belfast Castle Court. I got home and opened the envelope and there was only 127 euro in it. Really angry and frustrated. Going to have to back to the store tomorrow morning. I hope they check their floats each evening as they had better give me the money I am owed without an argument. So angry

Bought £1,250 worth of Thai baht

Amazing service. 2nd time using these guys this time I asked for home delivery ordered £1250 of Thai baht it arrived by 11.30am next day and it was a good mixture of notes aswell which was a bonus. Will defo use them again. Thanks 10/10

Bought £300 worth of East Caribbean dollars

Tried to but on line but system would not let me complete purchase (on line rate 3.3300) So had to phone them I then got a rate of 3.2329 so not that impressed.

NM Money came up top when I searched compare holiday money click and collect. The website was very user friendly and I ordered for collection at eurochange/NM money branch in Guildford. Money was waiting at the time specified, the lady that served me was very friendly and pleasant and the denominations were a great mix. Would highly recommend NM money/eurochange.

Bought £1,000 worth of Euros

Ordered online £1000 in Euros for pickup the following week in Liverpool St branch. On arrival today, I decided I needed more 20 Euro notes and fewer 50s, so asked for the sealed pack to be opened and some of the 50 euro notes changed. On opening the assistant found the amount to be short 10 euros! She counted them three times manually, and once with the machine before reluctantly adding 10 euros to make it correct. She assured me that the pack would have been counted three times before being sealed up and delivered and apologised multiple times, but the moral of the story is ALWAYS HAVE IT COUNTED IN FRONT OF YOU. Appalling and worrying - does this company do this to many people who pre-order (and whose rate drops in between order and collection?) and who trust the sealed pack to be correct?

Bought £700 worth of US dollars

Shocking experience. I paid them by bank transfer and went to collect my currency the day after. I was told in store that my money had not been paid. I proved it had but was told it was now too late to amend the system to approve my transaction. I am travelling today and they said to make a complaint, have the money refunded in 3-5 days and repurchase the currency IF they did have my money. I would not leave the store without my money. No management to deal with me at the Customer Service dept. Miraculously one appeared after about 45 mins on the phone to the poor woman I was speaking to. I explained everything and was then given an apology as they confirmed that they did have my money. Not what I needed the evening before my holiday

With regards to the currency not being approved this needs to be done by our accounts team when the money comes in, and this is specified that this needs to be before 4pm. The problem was there was a difference in names from the account which paid for it and your name which we called to confirm with yourself, but unfortunately we could not get hold of you to solve the problem.

We are glad that we were able to resolve this and you could leave with your money.

Money in New Mexico

If you come from a major city, such as New York or London, you may find New Mexico overall fairly inexpensive, although Santa Fe will be closer in price to what you're accustomed to. In Taos and Albuquerque, you can still get good accommodations and meals without wincing. Santa Fe, however, may hurt a bit, especially if you hit the hottest spots in town, which cater to sophisticated tastes.

The most common bills are the $1 (a "buck"), $5, $10, and $20 denominations. There are also $2 bills (seldom encountered), $50 bills, and $100 bills (the last two are usually not welcome as payment for small purchases).

Coins come in seven denominations: 1¢ (1 cent, or a penny); 5¢ (5 cents, or a nickel); 10¢ (10 cents, or a dime); 25¢ (25 cents, or a quarter); 50¢ (50 cents, or a half-dollar); the gold-colored Sacagawea coin, worth $1; and the rare silver dollar.

The easiest and best way to get cash away from home is from an ATM (automated teller machine), sometimes referred to as a "cash machine," or "cashpoint." They are available all over New Mexico.

Ordered euros that never came

Ordered euros, they sent it by royal mail and it's now missing in transit. Probably stolen. But the return policy takes about 75 days as they need to claim it from Royal mail first so I'm currently £500 down for my holiday. Thanks for absolutely nothing. Never again.

Ordered money yesterday and it arrived by post today and the notes were in quite small denominations, which was great as I had to share the currency out between 4 people .First class service, what's not to like?

Smooth, fast transaction. Recommended

We obviously compared the exchange rate with several companies and NM Money, along with 2 others, offered the best rate. Usually we would head into town to buy our Euros but we decided to buy online and have them delivered. The order was placed on Tuesday evening and we selected Thursday for delivery. NM Money informed us of the current state of our order, which had a guaranteed delivery before 1.00 pm today. Our Euros were delivered at 9.30 am. The whole process was straightforward and we'd have no hesitation in recommending NM Money.

The cheapest in town. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely terrific service from start to finish (St. John’s Branch, Liverpool). As a frequent flyer I always get a small amount of cash for arrival at the destination airport just for emergencies on onward travel. I have been using the local Post Office for convenience sake…..Never again. No wonder they say 0% commission, when the exchange rate is so poor. For 300 Romanian Leu they quoted me £62 whereas NM Money charged me £56.79. That’s over £10 difference per £100. By far the best rate offered by anyone. I certainly will be using them for any future journeys and would highly recommended them. A special mention to Daniela, Michelle and Sarah at the branch I used. Very friendly, helpful and professional. Thanks NM Money. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have used NM Money a few times now and have always be pleased with their service. They don't offer the best market exchange rate, but they are close and this I accept for their reliable service. I ordered several different currencies all of which they had in stock and delivered on the day I requested.

Easy transaction and best rate…

Easy transaction and best rate available at the time. Home delivery option was chosen but the money arrived 2 days before the date specified on the order! Unfortunately there was no-one in when the money arrived so we had to trail down to the local post collection point. other than that small hiccup everything was fine and will use NM Money again in the future

Good Service from Harry in Uxbridge

Had an order to collect in fareham a couple of months ago but when i went to the shop it was closed and I couldn’t get the money. The next day I went back to the shop at half 9 before they were open and a lady called Charlotte told me there were staff shortages which is why I couldn’t get my money. NM Money in Maidstone

I went to NM Money in Maidstone recently to sell some gold. The young lady that served me was extremely helpful and very professional. She was also very knowledgeable and told me she eager to learn more about the gold business. I hope NM Money see the potential in her and help her with her career as she really is a credit to them. The transaction was easy and straightforward but did take a while due the checks that have to be carried out. I felt I received a fair price for the gold

The service has improved considerably in comparison to the previous times I have used it in the past. The staff are more polite and the gentleman who served me on the 13th of May took time to explain about the other services they offer but was not pushy about it. Worst customer service ever

The staff in the Merrion Centre Leeds were very rude. We ordered Euros and asked for denominations of 10 and 20 euro notes. They took payment from our bank but instead of counting the euro purchase out to us they instead gave us a sealed envelope. We opened the envelope up in front of them and it contained old 2002 50 euro notes and 1 euro coins??? They then told us we should change the notes to our requested denominations elsewhere.

We should not have asked you to change elsewhere we should have just done this for you, notes permitting. We do supply 1 and 2 euro coins as many people find that these are incredibly useful for toll's, vending machines, etc. We would advise that if you do require certain denominations, to contact our Customer Support team prior to collection so we may have this arranged for you. Very easy to buy euros, ordered them in the afternoon, came the next day, special delivery, you have to spend £500 and above to get special delivery. Definitely use this company again

How to get the best deals on your travel money

How do you get the best exchange rate for Euros?

To get the best exchange rate for Euros you should always use a travel money comparison website, they are easy to use and provide you with a simple way of finding the best price. You don’t have to choose the best rate, so for example if you would prefer a well-known brand which maybe costs more, you can do so but at least you understand the difference in cost. The difference in cost between the best and worst rate can be significant, up to £20 on a currency purchase of £750.

If you are happy to buy on-line then how do you get the best on-line exchange rate for Euros?

Firstly, to get the best on-line exchange rate for Euros always use a comparison website. You will be provided with a list of travel money suppliers usually in order of the best price first. If you want a larger number of Euros, say above £500 the best price will almost certainly be a small direct supplier with a less well known brand. You then have a choice as to whether you would prefer to have the money delivered to your home or to collect the money from a local store on the ‘High St’.

Always understand the charges for debit and credit cards.

Many of the costs that you incur while abroad are driven by your UK bank account or credit card, so understanding the costs for your debit or credit cards abroad is important.

Whilst using your debit card in the UK is usually free, using your card abroad often incurs extra charges. Apart from most European holiday destinations the major banks charge a fixed fee every time you use your debit card. There is also a foreign exchange fee (typically 2.99%) on the amount you spend when using your debit card. The newer banks tend to offer better deals. Starling bank and Revolut  being two of the better examples.

Most credit cards don’t charge a fixed fee for using the card but still charge a percentage on any transaction that you make in a shop or restaurant. Also be careful using your credit card for cash from an ATM as it may be considered a cash advance and incur interest immediately. One of the better credit cards to use abroad is the Halifax Clarity card .

Always select the local currency in a shop or at an ATM

Something that is becoming more frequent when you go abroad is at an ATM or in shops and restaurants, you may be offered the option to pay in pounds sterling or local currency. Always choose the local currency otherwise you will get a very poor exchange rate and the cost to you can be surprisingly high.

Check overseas ATM charges before pressing 'enter'

Understanding the differing charges applied by ATMs abroad is not easy. In theory ATMs are required to explain their charges before you press enter. Apart from any charges applied by your bank or credit card provider the local ATM owners may have differing exchange rates or local charges. Don’t be afraid to check out several local ATMs and see which offers the best deal.

Simpler options can be to take more local currency with you or use an ATM from a big local bank. ATMs from banks tend to charge less than independent local operators sited in stores or garages for example.

Ordered euros that never came

Ordered euros, they sent it by royal mail and it's now missing in transit. Probably stolen. But the return policy takes about 75 days as they need to claim it from Royal mail first so I'm currently £500 down for my holiday. Thanks for absolutely nothing. Never again.

Smooth, fast transaction. Recommended

We obviously compared the exchange rate with several companies and NM Money, along with 2 others, offered the best rate. Usually we would head into town to buy our Euros but we decided to buy online and have them delivered. The order was placed on Tuesday evening and we selected Thursday for delivery. NM Money informed us of the current state of our order, which had a guaranteed delivery before 1.00 pm today. Our Euros were delivered at 9.30 am. The whole process was straightforward and we'd have no hesitation in recommending NM Money.

Absolutely terrific service from start to finish (St. John’s Branch, Liverpool). As a frequent flyer I always get a small amount of cash for arrival at the destination airport just for emergencies on onward travel. I have been using the local Post Office for convenience sake…..Never again. No wonder they say 0% commission, when the exchange rate is so poor. For 300 Romanian Leu they quoted me £62 whereas NM Money charged me £56.79. That’s over £10 difference per £100. By far the best rate offered by anyone. I certainly will be using them for any future journeys and would highly recommended them. A special mention to Daniela, Michelle and Sarah at the branch I used. I have used NM Money a few times now and have always be pleased with their service. They don't offer the best market exchange rate, but they are close and this I accept for their reliable service. Easy transaction and best rate…

Easy transaction and best rate available at the time. Home delivery option was chosen but the money arrived 2 days before the date specified on the order! Unfortunately there was no-one in when the money arrived so we had to trail down to the local post collection point. other than that small hiccup everything was fine and will use NM Money again in the future

Had an order to collect in fareham a couple of months ago but when i went to the shop it was closed and I couldn’t get the money. The next day I went back to the shop at half 9 before they were open and a lady called Charlotte told me there were staff shortages which is why I couldn’t get my money. I went to NM Money in Maidstone recently to sell some gold. The young lady that served me was extremely helpful and very professional. She was also very knowledgeable and told me she eager to learn more about the gold business. I hope NM Money see the potential in her and help her with her career as she really is a credit to them. Worst customer service ever

The staff in the Merrion Centre Leeds were very rude. We ordered Euros and asked for denominations of 10 and 20 euro notes. They took payment from our bank but instead of counting the euro purchase out to us they instead gave us a sealed envelope. We opened the envelope up in front of them and it contained old 2002 50 euro notes and 1 euro coins??? They then told us we should change the notes to our requested denominations elsewhere.
