The U.S. Department of State runs each passport agency and center. An agency and center is different than acceptance facilities which may include post offices, libraries, and local government offices.

Avoid the stress of needing to visit a passport agency or center for urgent travel. Apply early at an  acceptance facility  or  renew by mail .

Steps to Make an Appointment for Urgent Travel

Follow these steps to make an appointment:

• Go to our  Online Passport Appointment System .
• Enter information about your travel plans to see if you qualify for an appointment. You may make an appointment for up to seven members of your household.
• Enter your email address. We will email you a code which you must enter to continue making an appointment. Check your junk or spam folder if you do not see the code in your inbox.
• Enter your mobile phone number. We will send you a text message with another code you must enter to continue making an appointment.
• Complete the process of scheduling your appointment. 
• Check your email for a message confirming the details of your appointment. The system will hold your appointment for 15 minutes. If you do not confirm your appointment within 15 minutes, you will need to start over.
• If you need to cancel or change the appointment, click the link in the confirmation email to get information about your appointment.

This place is a scam. Find another provider. They do not accept insurance, charge $100 for the visit, and charge $200 per vaccine. BEWARE!

Scam/price gouging. First, I had to wait outside in the cold because the front door was locked. Then, I went upstairs and got a sales pitch on a bunch of overpriced medications and bug sprays. Then, I was told my trip required a yellow fever vaccine, upon further research, I don't even need it because I will only be transiting through Panama and not leaving the transit area. Lastly, they wanted to charge $375 for a yellow fever vaccine, which I found elsewhere for $150 (and didn't even need anyways). The best part was that I had to pay $89 for a consultation that wasn't even accurate ... avoid this place like the plague

Unfortunately I read the reviews too late. Go to MGH travel clinic or anywhere else instead because Passport Health's website does not disclose the additional fees or travel consultations required. The travel consultation is a scam to charge additional fees, but the fees are not the issue. The issue is you cannot get a yellow fever vaccine without the travel consultation but they do not disclose that anywhere. If you are using them last minute, you could absolutely have interruptions in your travel plans. Do not make appointments online without speaking to them live because they charge these additional fees, they do not offer refunds when you learn about the additional fees, despite the false advertising and lack of disclosure. Unfortunately I made an appointment Sunday for a Tuesday appointment to receive yellow fever vaccines for my family. I called Monday am and learned that, despite wasting an hour online filling out our complete medical history, Passport Health requires a "consultation" prior to a yellow fever shot. I am not sure when they would have told us that because all it said on the website was to fill out the online medical history to save time at the clinic. I did that but when I called, I learned about the required consultation. If you have any other alternative whatsoever, do not do business with Passport Health and seek out other options. My experience online and in speaking with them live was absolutely terrible. It is unfortunate to find unscrupulous companies online with a lack of ethics.

You know, reading about how much of a scam this company is, I probably should have just ran away, but here I am. Being able to book online will trump everything else I suppose, but I digress... Monday, November 19: I book an appointment for the yellow fever vaccine the following Monday (today). Friday, November 23: Four days later, and one business day before the appointment I receive an email stating the location I booked at does not have the yellow fever vaccine (the only one that I need) but Cambridge and Woburn do. I reply an hour and a half later asking where the Cambridge location is and hear nothing that day. Today, still having heard nothing, at 950am I follow up again "will I be able to get the vaccine anywhere today?" and no response. At 4:40pm today I got a bill for my "missed appointment". Pro tip: if there's even the slightest chance you're going to have to cancel, just put a different card number in as I don't think they actually check the info up front, just later on when they want to charge you for their "service". Other tip: do not use this service. Even the $50 fee up front is a unnecessary. Just find out the shots you need and head to an actual, reputable travel clinic. Anyone scrambling to get travel vaccinations, do yourself a favor and just call the MGH travel clinic instead at 617 - 724 - 6454, I really, really, really regret not doing that.

Ezra put me at ease immediately before administering travel vaccinations and Angela and Lynae helped me process my visa quickly after weeks trying to do it myself, struggling through an official government website that turned out to be beyond user-unfriendly. Thank you, Passport, for simplifying these crucial preparations.

Update: no refund because they dont have a refund policy. And all they state is once it leaves their office they are not responsible for what happens to the sample so no refund can be given. The process is: The sample gets taken by the Passport health then sent to Lab Corp for the test. But no one will verify [Customer has to ] with each other if the sample was received by the each other and when the test will be done either. And if something happens in between then no one will take the blame for it lol, simple and case closed. Update: Now was in the process to appeal with my health insurance. And I called Passport health to get some company information that my health insurance required for reimbursement and when I called they straight up paid they cannot give out information lol. And then i asked to speak with someone else and was able to get the information I needed. 0 for customer service. 0 for the company's policy #no refund policy #norepsonsibility

If I could give a zero I would give zero rating. Please please please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. The reason for appointment: Covid Testing for international flight Flight date: Nov 27th Appointment date: Nov 24th. Prior to the appointment date [ 2 weeks ago ], I called multiple times to verify whether the test result will come by 27th if I take it on 24th. And I also asked the same question to the guy who took the sample from me and he replied the same "it will definitely be ready for sure" Today, 27th the result is not here so I call them to ask, all they say is "unfortunately the result is not uploaded yet so cannot help". So I asked them if I can speak with someone who will be able to help a little more but nope no help or any escalation what-so ever. So my last resort, I go to the office and luckily the guy who took the sample was there and he is the only one who helped me connect with LabCorp [ who runs the test on the sample] directly and finally we were able to figure out where everything went wrong. That is, LabCorp never got the sample apparently but the guy who took the sample says "I witnessed the pick up person taking the samples". During all those calls, I kept raising the concern that today is my flight and its an urgent matter but they keep saying there is no one to talk to and i dont see the result being uploaded. And when I get upset, they hang up on the phone. Instead of trying to figure out where everything went wrong. And the reviews in their websites are most likely fake especially with good customer service as they do not have one. Please note that, 26th was Thanks giving, but despite all that they all said it will for sure come by Nov 27th before the flight date. And now I had to move my flight date, costing me extra and now in the process to ask for refund. I will update what they do with refund. Update: when I called PassportHeath with my concern, they told me that they will get back to me later the day of Friday yesterday [27th], and nope no calls or emails or anything.

This company is running a SCAM. I made a Travel appointment and my credit card number was taken down and I was told that I would be charged a $60 no-show fee if I didn't cancel with 24 hours notice. I ended up getting the needed vaccines at my daughter's travel appointment at MGH, so I called to cancel with a week's notice. I asked for a confirmation email and was told that the company's policy was not to send email confirmations of cancellations. (This sounded fishy to me so I took down this employee's name and extension) 4 days later I received a reminder email for my upcoming appointment, and when I called again, I was told my appointment had not been cancelled, and that "maybe there was just a mistake". I asked about the original employee I spoke with and was told "I have no idea what happened". If I had tried to cancel with 1 or 2 days notice they would have charged me $60. Passport Health is not a trustworthy company and I would advise anyone to not risk doing business with them.

Do NOT go here. I am an experienced traveler who needed two vaccinations that I had not previously had. The nurse gave me the INCORRECT shot and then proceeded to try to cover up the label on the box so that I would not see that I had gotten the wrong vaccination (Typhoid). After finally getting to see the box, confirming that I did indeed get the incorrect vaccination, the clinician tried to tell me that I would not be able to receive documentation that I had a Typhoid shot because it would be counted in the system as an "error". I politely said that I needed documentation of the incorrect typhoid shot because I am taking a job with the US government. He then attempted to tell me that that was impossible. Finally, he conceded that he would have to pay for the error (which he should). In a very non-professional way, he pulled out his wallet and split the invoice so that he paid for the error. This was after about ten minutes of arguing. Aside from this, this office is in a very secluded area with one (male) nurse. As a young woman, I felt very uncomfortable walking into this office, and very uncomfortable about the situation in general. As many other people have said, their prices are high and they do not take insurance. Lastly, at the very beginning of the consultation he tried to sell me multiple other vaccinations, and I had to sternly explain multiple times that I only needed the ones I mentioned. This type of medical error is unacceptable, but I was more disappointed and angry at the way the situation was handled after the error. The clinician made me feel dumb, judgmental, and unsafe. I did not walk away from the consultation trusting anything that he did.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! DO NOT GO HERE! I had to get travel vaccines and was scammed into paying $800 but told that when I filed it to my insurance, that I would get reimbursed. NOT TRUE! They are running a scam business. My friend, who didn't even go through her insurance, got hers for $200!! You should instead call your insurance and see which vaccines you can get at your PCP or at a clinic covered under your insurance!!!!!!!!!!

They are a life saver. I booked a trip to Peru and needed immunization shots on short notice. My doctors and other clinics were booked full for the following month and when I called up passport health, they set me up with an appointment right away the same week. The whole process was painless and efficient. Consultation, medication, and immunization all done within an hour. We went over the list of immunizations that's required and recommended, which helped me in making decisions as to what I should take. The information was comprehensive and thorough, which helped us in choosing the best medical kits to help with altitude sickness and potential traveler's sickness. Fantastic service.
