Steel Panther Add 22-Date Summer Tour to 2023 Concert Itinerary

Steel Panther will literally be on the prowl, looking for some of the best rock audiences out there, when they return to the road in the U.S. this summer. The group just booked a 22-city run that will come in support of their latest album, On the Prowl .

The trek gets underway July 13 in Huntington, New York, and will make its way across the country before coming to an end Aug. 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can see all of the dates, cities and venues listed below. Check in on tickets and VIP packages here .

The tour will follow the band's current dates as they travel through Europe playing multiple sold out shows. Remaining dates can also be seen below.

As for the new album, On the Prowl , it's already yielded the songs "Never Too Late (To Get Some Pussy Tonight)," "1987" and "Friends With Benefits." You can currently order the record at this location .

After two long years of on-again, off-again, more on-again, more off-again announcements, the world’s most beloved big haired heavy metal outfit Steel Panther have officially confirmed new dates for what is set to be the wildest, wettest, dirtiest, hardest, heaviest most rocking heavy metal tour to land in Australia.

Having previously announced shows for 2020, and then 2021, Steel Panthers forthcoming Australian tour will now take place in October 2022, and will also feature support from legendary Victorian outfit Airbourne, who will be replacing Sevendust.

In addition to hitting massive venues across the country with Victorian band Airbourne Steel Panther will also be turning their Brisbane show into a mini-festival, featuring Dead Letter Circus, Devilskin, Lagerstien and Bare Bones!

The ‘HEAPS & LOADS’ tour marks the largest venues that Steel Panther will have ever played in Australia. Due to growing demand every time they return down under, mixed with countless rave reviews, the Californian outfit will be landing in Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for a handful of enormous shows!

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is comprised of Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), and Stix Zadinia (drums). Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. LIVE REVIEW: STEEL PANTHER ON THE PROWL TOUR 2023

There was no excess when it came to the glam metal. Drugs, alcohol, ladies, money and a lot of hair spray and tight spandex pants. I happened to grow up during that time, with my favorite records coming from bands like Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and others. I did embrace the music, but not fashion, so I guess I can’t call myself a true fan, but nonetheless it is always nice to bring back the memories of that time. This is exactly what Steel Panther provides us. Steel Panther is the full-blown time machine. Currently on tour to support their latest studio album On The Prowl. Extensive tour that spans over a month and covers all major US markets and will continue in May in UK and Ireland. This last Friday tour came to New York City. Welcome back to 80’s.

This was the second time for me to witness Steel Panther live. They stay true to their script of providing the fans with good feel music of days gone by and entertain the crowd with their profane and suggestive (or I must say pretty direct) comedy act. There was one difference that I must note , that stuck out to me since I saw them last time back in 2019. They have gotten more cohesive in sound. Sonically they are impeccable. There was one downside for me though. Four years back their comedy act felt fresh and spicy, now it felt that most jokes were recycled, and that tanginess was missing. I’m sure that is something they can work on. Overall it was the same old no fucks given Steel Panther performance.

Music wise I was expecting a bit more new material, as they are touring to support their latest album On The Prowl, from which we got three songs from it – 1987, Never Too Late (To Get Some Pussy Tonight) and Ain’t Dead Yet. Most represented was bands first album Feel The Steel, with six songs. Band opened their set with Eyes Of A Panther and Let me Cum In, followed by little stand up comedy time by “Satchel” introducing band members and cracking jokes. Band also played Whitesnake cover of Slide It In, featuring Frank Bello from Anthrax on bass and Mike Tirelli on vocals. Just before the encore band invited ladies and some gents on stage to dance during the Party All Day (Fuck All Night). For an encore fans were treated to Community Property and Gloryhole.

Steel Panther is absolutely excellent live show band and their performances are always memorable. Don’t miss out the chance to see them in your area. Tour will continue tonight in New Jersey and follow the route back to bands home state of California, before heading out to Europe.

STEEL PANTHER Announces Summer 2023 U.S. Tour

California glam metal jokesters STEEL PANTHER have announced the next U.S. leg of their "On The Prowl" tour. The 22-city trek will kick off on July 13 in Huntington, New York and wrap up on August 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tour will make stops in Richmond, Virginia; Charleston, South Carolina; New Orleans, Louisiana and Ventura, California, to name a few.

STEEL PANTHER 's sixth studio album, "On The Prowl" , was released in February.

In September, STEEL PANTHER announced the addition of Spyder as the band's new bassist.

The group's music has been described as " VAN HALEN meets MÖTLEY CRÜE meets RATT meets 'Wayne's World' , complete with operatic shrieks, misogyny, shredding guitar solos and libidinal overdrive."

Fifteen years ago, STEEL PANTHER changed its name from METAL SKOOL to its current moniker and shifted the focus of its act from '80s metal covers to originals.

In a recent interview with Germany's Rock Antenne , STEEL PANTHER singer Michael Starr was asked if he ever gets "bored of being a parody of rock bands." He responded: "I love playing heavy metal. It's the most exciting job in the world for me. I've always dreamed about doing this — being on stage and being able to go all over the world with my buddies and play for people that like our music. It's really cool.

"Before we got signed by Universal , we were writing songs, and they were going, 'No. No. No.' They never signed us," he continued. "And then finally we were, like, 'You know what? Fuck it! We're gonna sing about what we wanna sing about. We're gonna sing about what we're thinking.' And once we did that, we got signed right away and we put out 'Death To All But Metal' , and the rest is history.

"So, I don't care if people think it's a joke or a parody or whatever — who fucking cares?" he added. "It's STEEL PANTHER at the end of the day.

"No, I'm not bored. I love it."
