Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' setlist included so many hit songs.

Taylor Has Officially Added An Extra Song To Her Permanent Eras Tour Set List

This one's for the Speak Now girlies!

Taylor Swift wasn’t lying when she called her 2023 concert tour the Eras Tour . The highly anticipated event kicked off on March 17, with Swift performing songs from throughout her illustrious career, ranging from her self-titled 2006 debut to her latest 2022 album Midnights . Fans expected the tour to deliver hit after hit, but nobody predicted just how massive the Eras Tour set list would be. On her first night of the tour, Swift performed 44 songs in a concert lasting over three hours, and revealed how each performance of the Eras Tour would be extra special with one specific song change.

Ever since Swift first announced her Eras Tour shortly after releasing Midnights in the fall of 2022, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what the set list would look like. As the name suggests, the concert series features songs from throughout Swift’s nearly two-decade career, and Swift finally revealed which specific songs make up the set list on night one of the tour. As expected, her recent albums Midnights , Evermore , Folklore , and Lover are most heavily featured, since they were released after her last concert tour, 2018’s Reputation Stadium Tour. But the set list also includes songs from every one of Swift’s 10-album discography, including a major throwback all the way back to her self-titled debut.

Check out the full Eras Tour set list below, which kicks off with a ton of Lover love and fittingly wraps up with some Midnights bops.

  • “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince”
  • “Cruel Summer”
  • “You Need to Calm Down”
  • “The Archer”
  • “You Belong With Me”
  • “Love Story”
  • “’Tis the Damn Season”
  • “Champagne Problems”
  • “Tolerate It”
  • “…Ready For It?”
  • “Don’t Blame Me”
  • “Look What You Made Me Do”
  • “Enchanted”
  • “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”
  • “I Knew You Were Trouble”
  • “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)”
  • “Invisible String”
  • “The Last Great American Dynasty”
  • “Illicit Affairs”
  • “My Tears Ricochet”
  • “Blank Space”
  • “Shake It Off”
  • “Wildest Dreams”
  • “Bad Blood”
  • “Mirrorball”
  • “Tim McGraw”
  • “Lavender Haze”
  • “Anti-Hero”
  • “Midnight Rain”
  • “Vigilante Sh*t”
  • “Bejeweled”
  • “Mastermind”

While this set list mostly remained constant as the tour continued, Swift made a change to the Folklore section beginning on her March 31 concert in Arlington, Texas. Instead of kicking that portion of her set off with “Invisible String,” Swift sang “The 1” instead.

Swift made another big change to the set list towards the end of the tour’s U.S. leg. During her two shows in Kansas City, Missouri on July 7 and 8, Swift added her Speak Now track “Long Live” to her set list. Fans initially assumed this was a one-time thing in celebration of the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) that weekend, but when it remained in the concert the following weekend at her Denver, Colorado shows, it was clear “Long Live” had officially become part of the Eras Tour set list.

And that’s not the only part of the set list that has changed. During her opening concert for the tour, Swift announced that a couple songs will be changed out with each date. Swift revealed that the 36th and 37th slots will be new acoustic performances of two different songs at each concert , to make the experience extra special for each audience. To kick the tradition off, she performed her dazzling Folklore track “Mirrorball” and her throwback single “Tim McGraw” for the Glendale, Arizona, crowd.

So, if you happen to be one of the lucky Swifties to nab Eras Tour tickets , it definitely sounds like all the trouble will be worth it to hear this massive set list of hit songs live.

What surprise songs did Taylor Swift perform on The Eras Tour? Here's the full list. (Updated live during every show)

Listen to this article

Taylor Swift 's The Eras Tour is in full swing, and just as fans had hoped, Taylor has confirmed that she will be performing surprise songs on every single night of the tour.

If you've been a fan of Taylor for a while, you'll know that she always includes a surprise song or two in her tour set lists. The tradition goes all the way back to The Red Tour, and technically even further back to the Speak Now World Tour if you include the surprise covers she performed during that era.

With the tour now officially underway, the surprise songs are back, back, back again. There are 45 songs in the setlist already, which means she's got over 200 songs (!!) to choose from for the surprise slots.

Initially, Taylor told fans that she will only play each surprise song once, unless she messes it up. But she has now confirmed that she has ended that rule, and she will play whatever she wants, however many times she wants!

So, what surprise songs has Taylor Swift already performed on The Eras Tour and what can fans expect for the rest of the dates? Here's the full list. (We'll update this article live, during each show.)

Plus one soundtrack song ('I Don't Wanna Live Forever) and one extra song that's not her own ('I miss you, I'm sorry' with Gracie Abrams).

The Eras Tour concert film was recorded on August 3rd, 4th and 5th and all six surprise songs she performed at those shows will be included in The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) on Disney+ .

What surprise songs can Taylor Swift perform again?

What surprise songs has Taylor Swift not played yet?

With Taylor performing two surprise songs a night, it's pretty much a given that she will perform the majority of them before she finishes the entire tour. Taylor has now confirmed that she has reset the list for the 2024 dates, which means international fans heading to the Eras Tour will likely hear some repeats, as well as those she has not yet performed.

There's still plenty of tracks that Taylor has the option to perform. Here's all the songs that she has not yet performed as surprise songs:

  • Taylor Swift : 'Mary’s Song (Oh My My My)', 'A Perfectly Good Heart'
  • Fearless (Taylor's Version): ' The Way I Loved You', 'Change', 'Superstar', 'We Were Happy', 'That’s When', 'Don’t You', 'Bye Bye Baby'
  • Speak Now (Taylor's Version): [All songs from Speak Now have been played.]
  • Red (Taylor's Version) : 'Girl At Home', 'Ronan', 'Forever Winter', 'Run'
  • 1989 (Taylor's Version) : 'Sweeter Than Fiction'
  • Reputation : 'I Did Something Bad'
  • Lover : 'London Boy', 'Soon You’ll Get Better', 'It’s Nice To Have A Friend'
  • Folklore : 'Hoax'
  • Evermore : 'Happiness', 'Closure'
  • Midnights : 'Paris', 'Glitch'

Taylor's brand new album The Tortured Poets Department will be released on April 19th so fans will find out if she plans on singing those tracks as surprise songs after that date.

Alongside those listed album tracks, there's also several standalone and soundtrack songs that Taylor could add into the mix: 'Crazier', 'Only The Young', 'Carolina', 'I Heart?', 'Beautiful Eyes', 'Beautiful Ghosts'... And of course, 'Macavity' and 'Christmas Tree Farm'.

There's also the small possibility that she could potentially perform the songs she's featured on, maybe even with special guests: 'The Joker and the Queen', 'Two Is Better Than One', 'Renegade', 'Both of Us', 'Gasoline', 'Birch', 'Highway Don’t Care' and 'The Alcott'.

What surprise songs has Taylor Swift performed on The Eras Tour?

What surprise songs will Taylor Swift perform again?

At the start of the The Eras Tour, Taylor revealed that she had two rules when it comes to playing surprise songs more than once. Rule 1: If she messed up, she's allowed to play it again. Rule 2: Midnights songs are exempt and she can play them "however many times I want..."

However, in February 2024, she confirmed that that rule is no longer in place. She will play whatever songs she wants, however many times she wants.

So, if you're going to a London show in August, or one of the final shows in Vancouver and you're hoping to hear 'You're On Your Own, Kid'? It's now a strong possibility.

Here's a list of all the songs Taylor has performed multiple times on the Eras Tour so far:

  • 'You're On Your Own, Kid' (Played 4 times)
  • 'Maroon' (Played 3 times)
  • 'this is me trying'
  • 'Our Song'
  • 'Snow On The Beach'
  • 'Death By A Thousand Cuts'
  • 'Clean'
  • 'The Other Side of the Door'
  • 'Teardrops On My Guitar'
  • 'Out of the Woods'
  • 'Come Back...Be Here'
  • 'Red'
  • 'Getaway Car'
  • 'Holy Ground'
  • 'Daylight'

Taylor performed 'Nothing New' with Phoebe Bridgers on the nights Phoebe appears as a support act, but the song was not one of the two surprise songs. Taylor could now perform the song again later down the line as a surprise song.

Taylor also performed 'No Body, No Crime' with HAIM on the nights they supported the show. It's possible that Taylor will now perform that one again, solo, later down the line.

What surprise songs does Taylor Swift have left to perform?

Will Taylor Swift add The Tortured Poets Department songs to the Eras Tour setlist?

Just when you thought the Eras Tour would remain a celebration of Taylor's 10 albums, she goes ahead an announces her surprise 11th album!

The Tortured Poets Department will be released on April 19th, and features 17 brand new songs. We won't know for sure if Taylor will change her setlist to accommodate the new songs, but it's possible that she will perform them as surprise songs.

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Taylor Swift wowed fans with a dream show at her first concert tour since 2018.

During the March kickoff of The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium outside of Phoenix, the iconic singer-songwriter unveiled a massive 44-song setlist that, appropriately, tagged every frame of her 17-year-career.

The Absence of ME! in Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour: A Divisive Single’s Omission

T aylor Swift’s Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) on Disney+ offers fans a comprehensive journey through the singer’s illustrious career, featuring hits from almost every era. However, one glaring omission stands out: the absence of “ME!”, Swift’s divisive lead single from the Lover era. Despite its significance in marking a shift in Swift’s musical style, “ME!” failed to secure a spot on the Eras Tour setlist, leaving fans to wonder why.

The Missing Piece: “ME!”

While the Eras Tour movie encompasses a vast array of Swift’s iconic songs, “ME!” remains conspicuously absent. The upbeat self-love anthem, featuring Brendon Urie, marked a departure from Swift’s previous sound and served as the lead single for the Lover era. However, its exclusion from the tour’s setlist raises questions about its divisive reception and its compatibility with the overall concert experience.

A Divisive Reception

Upon its release in April 2019, “ME!” garnered mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. While some praised its empowering message and infectious melody, others found its bubblegum pop sound and simplistic lyrics off-putting. Swift’s attempt to appeal to a younger demographic with lines like “Spelling is FUN!” and “I’m the only one of me” alienated some of her longtime fans, who perceived the song as overly juvenile.

Challenges in Live Performance

Despite its catchy chorus and energetic vibe, “ME!” presented challenges for inclusion in the Eras Tour setlist. Swift’s decision to omit the song may have stemmed from concerns about its compatibility with the overall tone of the concert. The Lover era set, which featured songs like “Cruel Summer” and “The Man,” already exuded a high-energy atmosphere, and “ME!” risked disrupting the cohesive flow of the performance.

A Missed Opportunity

While “ME!” may have divided opinions, its omission from the Eras Tour represents a missed opportunity for fans to experience the song’s infectious energy in a live setting. The chorus’s sing-along potential and Brendon Urie’s dynamic vocals could have added an exhilarating moment to the concert experience, creating memories that fans would cherish for years to come.

Why was “ME!” excluded from the Eras Tour setlist?

The decision to omit “ME!” from the Eras Tour setlist likely stemmed from concerns about its divisive reception and its compatibility with the overall tone of the concert. Swift may have felt that the song’s bubblegum pop sound and simplistic lyrics did not align with the cohesive flow of the performance.

Will “ME!” ever be performed live by Taylor Swift?

While there is no guarantee, Swift’s decision to exclude “ME!” from the Eras Tour does not necessarily preclude its future inclusion in live performances. However, its omission from the tour’s setlist suggests that Swift may be hesitant to incorporate the song into her live repertoire.

Was “ME!” included in any other aspect of the Eras Tour?

“ME!” was performed as a surprise song during one of Swift’s acoustic sets in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. However, this performance was not included in the final cut of the Eras Tour movie, leaving “ME!” absent from any official documentation of the tour.

In the end, the absence of “ME!” from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour highlights the complexities of crafting a cohesive concert experience. While the song’s divisive reception and potential disruption to the concert’s flow may have led to its omission, its exclusion leaves fans longing for the opportunity to belt out its empowering chorus in a crowd setting. Despite its absence, “ME!” remains a significant part of Swift’s musical journey, serving as a testament to her evolution as an artist.
