Unforgeatable memories from Mekong Princess

What a wonderful, truly memorable cruise on the Mekong. Our ship was luxuriously appointed, our cabin was spacious and very comfortable, the food was delicious. The ship’s staff were incredibly warm and friendly, they knew our names and nothing was too much trouble. The excursion program which we enjoyed immensely was designed to show us people living their everyday lives. We saw Vietnamese and Cambodian families practicing their skills and abilities in an authentic, unsanitized way. Our sincere thanks to Eric and the crew for providing us with such a memorable holiday! Watching the world go by on the Mekong was so relaxing and so special!

Dear Sophia, thank you so much for your caring and gentle review. We are so glad that you have enjoyed the whole journey onboard.

Exceptional small ship experience

Superb on all fronts: comfortable and elegant suites, attentive and thoughtful staff, well appointed public spaces, and great food from Chef On. The excursions are well crurated. Highly recommended.

A six stars experience not to be missed

Almost at the end of our cruise and a welcome day of cruising on the magnificent Mekong, so thought I would take the quiet time to write this review before we continue on with our journey in Vietnam…… especially as I do a great deal of research and could find so little information 9n this boat. We are ex- hoteliers (hotel Gm’s) who love to travel - we take a four/five week adventure each year (often including cruises) and take a great deal of time choosing our accommodation and food as it’s important to us….. I’m only mentioning it to say we are particular !! We booked our first Mekong cruise with Scenic two years out as we wanted the royal Panama suite front of ship…… cancelled four months out due to lack of uptake (handled very well and full ref7nd within a week) so booked APT cruise …owners suites at front - cancelled four weeks out ( handled extremely badly and won’t be using again! - enough said) Faced with booked flights and only three weeks to go I frantically set about finding an alternative …… I found the Mekong Princess. I enquired online and within hours I had a swift response and was all booked. Within another few hours we had our first written communication with Eric (Hotel GM on board) Well I can only say we absolutely landed on our feet and we both know without question that we have had a far better experience than we could ever have had on any other vessel! To start with this boat is only 14 cabins so can only sleep max 28 persons….. not the 50 - 80 most ships accommodate. We only had 14 pax on board but in my case, it was very reassuring to see in print and confirmed on social media this boat will also only run with just 2/4 guests….. no cancellations. They wish to keep staff employed and honour all bookings which is extremely commendable. The boat itself is superbly maintained ….. it was built in 2015 and is clearly kept with a great deal of care and attention and no expense spared. The photographs truly don’t do it justice…… it’s classical and elegant but simple and in no way gaudy. The itinerary is an interesting perfect mixture of country and city - everything runs like clockwork. Even the return to the ship where you drop your shoes to have them cleaned and returned, hand sanatise and cold towel and drink……all completed in minutes and all to ensure your maximum comfort. We have both loved the fact that this boat being so small, visits stops that other boats cannot reach, tiny villages where we were, more often than not, the attraction!! Some very special memories we shall take with us for a very long time. The guides too Chan for Cambodia and Chung for Vietnam have both been very knowledgeable and have clearly enjoyed sharing their stories and their knowledge. Food - I am allergic to wheat (anaphylactic allergic) and Eric, the chefs and restaurant team have been absolutely amazing - making me special bread every meal and even ensuring I get canapés each evening that accommodates my allergy. As there are only 14 guests on board each lunch and dinner is pre ordered meal. There is plenty of choice and a great combination of local and European dishes. All without exception have been outstanding…… last nights chicken terrine was one of the most delicate and delicious I think I’ve ever had !! Each evening the restaurant has a subtle change of decor and lighting - these are the small touches that often go unnoticed but show the level of care and attention that is paid to even the smallest detail. Suite - we took th Angkor suite on the front - a stunning large room with three full length double doors, loads of space, our own Wi-Fi, free laundry …..list goes on!! We loved it and have thoroughly enjoyed the space and privacy withown balcony out front. The suite is serviced every time you leave it ie: two excursions a day it’s cleaned three times! An amazing place to spend a glorious 8 days on the Mekong! Staff and Team - Ably led from the front … the ever present Eric. He’s clearly a seasoned professional who knows his stuff and has the complete respect of his team. They are a wonderful group of people who go out of their way to accommodate your every need. They truly do go above and beyond and do it with a grace and friendliness that just makes everything seem so effortless (even though we both know that’s it’s not !) In Summary if you get the chance ….. take it !! Board the RV Mekong Princess and experience this wonderful part of the country in all the glory and comfort of this magnificent vessel and its staff. We have had a truly wonderful experience that we truly believe has far exceeded anything we could have had on a larger less intimate boat.

It was a trip of a lifetime

It was a trip of a lifetime. So much to be said about it that I don’t know where to start. All was perfectly manicured from the pre cruise information 2 weeks before departure to the hotel pick up on the day of embarkation to the service the food the crew onboard. A real Royalties life experience for a week. I can only strongly recommend this ship and only this one as its small size allowed you many things not accessible to bigger ship. JUST DO IT

Dear Tim Tim, thank you so much for your high praise of your cruise with us, we do hope that you are enjoying Siem Reap at the moment and wish you a safe journey back home in Germany.

Excellent cruising experience on the Mekong River.

This was an awesome cruise for 8 days from Ho Chi Min City to Siem Reap. Everything about the cruise was superlative. The staff were helpful, friendly professional, including learning our names on day one. The Food was amazing and varied. We ate way too much of all the good food on offer because it was so hard to say 'no' to any of it. The food varied being Vietnamese when in Vietnam and Cambodian when in Cambodia. The shore trips done daily, provided diverse incites into Vietnamese and Cambodian life, history, religion and culture. We had a different guide in Vietnam (Hai) to the one in Cambodia (Ry). Both guides were excellent and informative. Everything was arranged for the comfort and convenience of the traveller, including having your shoes cleaner after a shore excursion!!! Even when our shoes were soaked after a rain drenched shore excursion they returned to us clean and dry. A relaxing holiday HIGHLY recommended.

10 stars ship

If I could give this cruise 10 Stars I would! The decor is beautiful, the suites are spacious with large bathrooms, the common spaces are comfortable, the bar is intimate and welcoming, the dining room is open with large windows to afford views of the Mekong River as you enjoy the delicious food. The daily tours were by well educated, very knowledgeable English speaking guides to off the beaten track sites that only this cruise line goes to. Each tour was unique - most interacting in small groups with local people & learning their authentic way of life here. We especially loved the way the children in these small villages smiled & waved & blew us kisses as we passed by. As each day ended we thought we had experienced the perfect tour, only to have it surpassed the next day. We grew to feel like we were with a family as we came to know each member of our crew - they were all so polite & friendly, & it seemed like they anticipated our every need. I HIGHLY recommend the Viet Princess Cruise line - the value is exceptional & you will not be disappointed.

Voyage of a Lifetime: A Spectacular Cruise Experience Beyond Compare

From the moment our feet touched the gangway, we knew we were in for an unforgettable adventure. The cruise managed by Eric and his crew was beyond outstanding. They have set a new standard in exceptional customer service and unrivaled hospitality. As seasoned travelers, we always have high expectations, but this cruise managed to surpass even those. The warm welcome started right at the entrance, with Eric personally greeting every passenger, instantly making us feel at home. The crew was diligent, attentive, and courteous. Every need was anticipated and catered for before we could even articulate it. From the housekeeping who kept our room spotless to the waitstaff in the dining area, everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. But - and this was important to us: their impeccable timing and discerning approach meant that while they were always available to assist us, they never intruded on our privacy. This respectful balance they maintained added to the overall comfort of our journey. In conclusion, this cruise is more than just a journey; it's an experience filled with warmth, care, and exceptional service. It's a testament to what can be achieved when passion meets professionalism. We wholeheartedly recommend this cruise to anyone seeking a high Mekong adventure that will leave them with lasting memories. Here's to Eric and the crew - thank you for making our voyage unforgettable!

A Floating Asian Palace

My wife and I with a couple of friend booked that ship based on Trip Advisor reviews and this is a hidden gem that needs to be known although it is the most smaller ship on the Mekong River. This all inclusive cruise is the best ever cruise we’ve ever taken on all aspects of a ship. First because of its size this ship can dock in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City at the door steeps of your hotel saving a 3 hours bus ride to the terminal cruise ship in My Tho. It’s size allows us as well to get to places where no others can and make us discover the true authentic life style of the people. Everything onboard was a delight and so well taken care of with 30 crew members at service for 28 guests solely when the ship is full. The food the service the atmosphere of this ship is unparalleled yet. A piece of heaven on earth nothing to be pointed out as all was magical. I will do it again if I can.

Thank you much for your kind review and time in it

There were just the two of us..from Vietnam to Cambodia… full staff with Eric.. I could not believe the service we received .. UNFORGETTABLE.. in fact I couldn’t believe they even sailed.. The food was great.. I had a great full massage.. all excursions were what I hoped for..Honestly I felt like we won the lottery on this trip..Thank you Eric and the wonderful STAFF… I will never forget.. one day I will return… 👍😍

Dear Dolores thank you so much for your kind review and appreciation of your cruise although you were the only guests on board it was for us as well a great memory of you two on board, we truly enjoyed it and we would love to see you again someday. All very best to you both. Mekong Princess Team

I have never written a review before…

I have never written a review before but feel I must put pen to paper about my experience on the Mekong Princess last week. We were fortunate to be ungraded to the Apsara suites. This was a comfortable home away from home with the best bed I have ever slept in, locally sourced toiletries, fabulous shower and lots of added extras. (Gorgeous orchids too). It was great to watch the lifestyle of the mighty Mekong from my room. Comfortable loungers in the open areas were also great for a change of scene. The food was superb and was specifically catered for us (I am a coeliac and Gluten free bread was baked daily!). The wait staff were attentive and remembered our individual likes and dislikes. The menu had many choices - too many to try everything! Because the Mekong Princess is a smaller ship, the shore excursions often took us off the tourist trails. Visiting local villages by Sanpan and Tuk tuk’s, talking to children at the local school to help them with their English, seeing the flower growing fields, orchards and local farming, viewing traditional boat building and conical hat making. So much variety every day. We had local guides with us in both Vietnam & Cambodia who were extremely knowledgeable and explained the history, the local lifestyle and genuinely became friends. I was impressed to learn how the Mekong Princess (Viet Princess Cruises) support local initiatives. A great ‘feel good’ feeling. Full credit to Eric and his well trained crew. I would highly recommend booking with them.,

My first experience with Mekong river…

My first experience with Mekong river cruise. It was amazing Cruise ship, all crew are nice and excellent service. The itinerary are beautiful.

Hope it won't be the last we have some other ships and other cruises

wow, I love this cruise ship

Wow, where do I even begin with this wonderful cruise. A week before departure my friend and I were emailed by Eric Christophe, the cruise Director sayind we had been given a complimentary upgrade from a twin suite on the main deck to a suite each on the upper deck. This was as a resuly of lower numbers in the down season. These suites were spacious and very elegant. Both had ranchsliders onto the deck. Our first experience was being welcomed aboard by all the crew. We had 29 to pander to the needs of a small group. Nothing was ever too much trouble and all were superbly trained by Cruise Director Eric. On cruises many people travel for the food. How can I describe the menus on the Mekong Princess? Divine does not even sum it up. Seafood fromm around the world, French cheeses and complimentary wines from the World's best vinyards. Oh and local spirits and beers are available free of charge all day. One never gets this on a regular cruise. One of the huge stand outs for me was the onshore experiences. Because the Princess is flat bottomed we were able to travel where other lines could not go. With transfers by local Sanpan were were able to visit small villages and see life as normal for the villagers eg traditional sanpan boat building and the time consuming making of conical hats. We also walked through a local farming area and were then rowed back through a very narrow water way surrounded by what felt like a tropical jungle. In a review like this, I cannot say enough about this fantastic experience. Foget the big boats and huge numbers of tourists. Do the Vietnam / Cambodia cruise on the Mekong Princess. Like me you will be elated and have so many wonderful memories. Thanks a million Eric and Crew.

Thank you so much for your high praise on your cruise with us.

Highest Standard Of Execllent

Outstanding . Superb. In a class by itself ! Absolutely lovely, genuine Vietnamese and Cambodian hospitality. Hospitality Director Eric Christophe and his entire staff and crew displayed the highest levels of attention to detail in all aspects of service , attentiveness ,cleanliness , excursions, food . The floral arrangements throughout the vessel are spectacular. My spacious Angkor suite was adorned with stunning arrangements of orchids in bathroom, alongside bathtub, desk and credenza . Dining room floral arrangements added an extra dimension to the elegant dining room. Excursions were well planned and organized. My butler, servers, bartenders were all accommodating . Only 14 suites on vessel . Intimate , fun group of fellow adventurers.

Dear Quan, thank you so very much for this praising review about your journey, we are so happy to see your appreciation online and will convey it to the all crew. It has been a pleasure to have you as a valuable guest and hope to welcome you again soon or your friends. Wishing you all the very best.

The Epitome of cruising

From the moment we stepped onboard, we were treated like royalty by the amazing staff who went above and beyond to ensure that my birthday celebration were unforgettable. Eric and his team's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident in every aspect of our journey. The Mekong Princess cruise provided us with a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. The itinerary was well thought out, and the shore excursions were expertly planned, allowing us to discover the beauty and culture of the Mekong River region. The onboard amenities were excellent, and the accommodations were comfortable, spacious, and luxurious. What truly sets the Mekong Princess apart, however, is the service provided by Eric and his team. Their warmth, friendliness, and professionalism made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our journey. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed, from personalized service at meals to thoughtful birthday surprises that made my celebration extra special. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Mekong Princess cruise, and the team led by Eric, the cruise director, for anyone looking for an unforgettable, luxurious, and personalized experience on the Mekong River.

Best ship and vacation ever

My wife and I just disembarked from the Mekong Princess Cruise and I can put my hand on my heart and report that it was the most all encompassing tour and cruise I've ever experienced. It was by chance we selected this product in a space that is well catered by other cruise lines. Now that we understand the Mekong Delta and the extensive water ways we are so glad we selected this cruise company. The Mekong Princess is infact one of the only vessels that plights the water ways and channels where the bigger cruise vessels cannot sail. Because of this you get to experience the full ebb and flow of life on the Delta. There are so many quality facets of this cruise that it's not possible to list them all, however I shall try and summarise. Firstly, we were accommodated in the Saigon suite which was their flag ship cabin. The accomodation is absolutely fantastic and is decorated in a colonial theme as is the vessel, throughout. The vessel common spaces including restaurants, dinning room, bar and gym are immaculately presented and homely. The off vessel daily actives are very well managed and their guides provide you with ample information on the rich history of both Cambodia and Vietnam. The food and wine onboard is as good as any fine dinning establishment and I can guarantee you shall leave the vessel thoroughly content and maybe a few more kilos. The Mekong Princess crew are what makes this cruise a memorable experience. They are 100 percent attentive to their duties and by the time you leave the vessel you shall be part of their extended familly. The onshore vessel management team play a vital role in ensuring that the vessel and crew provide a world class service and I can ensure you the operation runs like a well oiled machine. Whilst there are other similar products available to cruise the Mekong Delta I would defiantly make sure that this tour is in your final selection list and I can vouch that you shall not be disappointed if you sail with the Mekong River Cruises.

Dear Sophorn such a great review of our Princess and so happy that you've liked it so much, hope you will convey the word to all your friends once back home. We appreciate your patronage very much and will remember you and your lovely wife for years to come. Mekong Princess Team

The Mekong Princess - Outstanding in Every Respect

This Cruise was truly outstanding in every respect. The crew, the accommodation, the food and the daily tours were first class. I could not fault it in any way. We were welcomed onboard by the crew and our host Eric Christophe, who was the epitome of perfection. Eric’s attention to detail, from the decor to the his personal touches and general concern for our wellbeing and enjoyment was incredible! He set the highest example to all of his crew which translated into the excellent service we received from them. The crew were magnificent, they were warm, welcoming and very friendly. Our every need was anticipated and delivered with much graciousness and a delightful smile. We made many friends amongst them and we have many fond memories of them. Our palatial suite was very luxurious with large french windows which enabled us to enjoy the wonderful vistas as we sailed gently along the Mekong River. On deck there is plenty of room to relax and enjoy your surroundings in comfort. The bar and dining room is both elegant and stylish, the food and drink were way beyond our expectations. We were spoilt each day by the natural beauty and unique culture of these two beautiful countries. It was very convenient for us to be able to begin our journey from Ho Chi Minh City. On our journey we visited authentic places during the cruise along The Mekong that only a vessel of this size could reach and as a result we were never in a crowd of tourists. We learned a great deal about the true way of life of the local people on each of our tours. The local people we met greeted us with open arms and were more than happy to share their experiences and their marvellous skills. The guides had excellent English and were both personal and very informative and were able to answer all of our questions. One fantastic innovation was the Vox Box (a small personal device with an ear piece that relayed the guides commentary clearly, particularly useful on the Sampans and in the busy markets). We have travelled quite extensively but this cruise was one of our finest and most memorable experiences. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you Viet Princess Cruises for making this possible.

Dear Kevin M, What to say and where to start? Thank you so much for your time in this review of your trip with us, we are thrilled to red such great review and feel that training is the key to success and will keep on doing it. The crew will be for sure overwhelmed to read your report and will feel so valued of their efforts. It has been such a pleasure to show you the hospitality in this part of the world and authentic people along the way. We do hope to see you again on board for the part that you have missed. On behalf of the entire family Team on board again a BIG THANK YOU and to your wife. The world is a book, those one who do not travel read only one page !! Come for another chapter of the South Asian book with us. MEKONG PRINCESS TEAM.

Dear patajames, Fist of all thank you for your time in this review and praise on our Lady of the Mekong « Mékong Princess » it is our aim In Vietprincess to provide Unique, Authentic, Everlasting experiences and souvenir to our guests. Happy to read that you have as well enjoyed our crew as we do invest a lot in training them and obviously it pays back. They are genuinely happy to be of service. On behalf of all of them THANK YOU for being our guests and hope to see you again soon. Mekong Princess Team

Just the perfect way of discovering Asia !!! This ship is so kool and safe, We felt like having our private yatch just for us. We even felt shame sometimes to have so much luxury onboard while visiting places with barely running water. However we can only strongly recommend this ship and only this one as it is the only one going to the down town of Saigon avoiding 2 hours of bus ride like other too big ships on the Mekong River. All is taken care of for you once you step onboard ! I loved it all the way.

I don't know where to start or what to say as I thought I lived a dream for a week the back to reality was tough. My wife, I and our friends were blown away if you do visit this countries Vietnam & Cambodia that's the only way to do it. Everything's taken care off for you. Pure luxury all the way that you get addicted to it . The crew service, SPA, food, excursion, gift shop , entertainment, faultless. Thank you

What a trip !!! Did not know what to expect and it far exceeded our expectations. This ship is like a floating palace bring home away from home. The Suites are so comfy that you do not want to go out, waking up in the morning with the big glass window in front of your bed is already priceless. Then going for breakfast was a treat for a king every morning. The size of the ship make you think it is yours and all the fabulous and genuine crew are your family yet so professional with perfect English skills ( all crew are Cambodian and more than one to one) the ship is equipped with a library, a SPA where each guests has a complementary one hour treatment. A fabulous gift shop for such a small shop, where you can find the best gifts to bring back home supporting local associations and things that you cannot find anywhere. The tours were so interesting and the diversity of them was just amazing. This is really the VERY BEST way to see a country when it is the first time as your luxurious floating hotel is following you avoiding the packing and unpacking, not only that the food is safe the water is safe and all on onboard is worry less as European standards are in place. Not to forget all is included from drinks to wine at dinner, WIFI, 3 meals a day and all tours. Again this was the best vacation time ever I did not want to leave the ship at the end of the week. Thank you all for making it a life memory.

Dear chheavs2019, Thank you so much for your kind review and appreciation of our Princess with all services going along. Mekong Princess Team

We (a young european couple) just did the 8 day trip from Ho Chi Minh to Siem Riep last week and we can say it was worth every cent. Everything was perfect, from the well balanced planning to the crew customer care at every moment. The Mekong Princess Cruise has been so far the diamond experience of our 3 month trip around SE Asia and we cannot recommend it strong enough :)

Dear inespuelas, Thank you so much for your time in this kind review. It was our pleasure to be service to you, and enjoyed the young blood energy onboard. Thank you for the Diamond Princess that could be the name of the next ship. We are glad that you have enjoyed your journey with us on a such small group of guests onboard which make it like "comme a la Maison" feeling and atmosphere. Again on behalf of all crew onboard thank you and Benjamin for being our guests and wish you a wonderful remaining time in this part of the world, hoping our paths will cross again one day. Thanks to you both Mekong Princess Team

A fantastic experience! We went on the 8d cruise from Ho Chi Minh City up to Siem Reap with the Mekong Princess. The attention to detail on board and during the tours was phenomenal, with very knowledgable and honest guides. We were so happy to go with the smaller group size that this tour provides and get an in depth look at two countries. The team was very well organised and made crossing the border a breeze. The food was wonderful with touches of personalisation for everyones prefences making each meal special, even organising a late night viewing of the football for us. A special shout of to Chamrouen and Sreyoun in the dining room for making our cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing, and patiently teaching us Khmer (thank you big big!!). Would highly recommend this experience and hope to book with this group again in the future. Already miss this crew!

Dear edventure2018, Thank you so Much for your time and kind words in this review. We are glad to read that you have enjoyed the intimacy of your trip. It was a shared pleasure to be with you and Linda. We wish you all the best and hope our paths will cross again. Mekong Princess Team

A sublime experience that manages to be both luxurious and understated at the same time. The boat is great, the itinerary was wonderful but what makes this experience unbeatable is the crew. Together since pre-Covid days, they work together seamlessly, providing warm, gracious and downright decadent service. Eric Christophe, the charming, caring, self-effacing and unassuming manager, values each member and it shows. I almost cried at the end of the trip because I had become so attached to all of them. We were part of an Abercrombie and Kent tour that started in Siem Reap, Cambodia and boarded the ship in Kampong Cham, sailing down the Mekong to Ho Chi Minh City. Along the way we saw fascinating sights and enjoyed all sorts of shore excursions. However, you can book directly with Vietprincess. The food was superb and a broad array is offered so any dietary restrictions can be accommodated. The spa treatments were some of the best that I have ever experienced, including an hour hand massage that practically eliminated my arthritis! And if that wasn’t enough, the company supports an orphanage in Cambodia and has very environmentally-friendly practices. It was all that I could do not to stay on the boat and sail back upriver..

Beloved SaraHartgraves, What a delight to read your kind heartfelt review. It is overwhelming and so much appreciated. We were honored to have you and your sister onboard and the all A&K group. It was a special week in many ways for us too. The world is small and full of beautiful understanding people I really do hope our paths will cross again. We missed the intimate group already, we wish you a safe journey back home a Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. We will be in touch soon From the bottom of our hearts Merci Mekong Princess Team

This cruise was top notch! As suggested by our Trip Merchant travel company we booked the Mekong Princess River Cruise. As Canadians we were intrigued……we were told it would be a fabulous Asian experience, that it was! We arrived to a lovely boutique colonial style river boat and were ushered to the Angkor Suite…..it was beautiful and spacious. Eric the Cruise Director and his staff were outstanding……they really cared that the needs and wants of the customer were met. They were the most friendly and most gracious people of all our travels, we enjoyed them very much. The restaurant served a great variety of dishes and introduction to exotic flavours. The cruise had daily excursions that were truly authentic and an eye opener into the daily lives and culture of their people which included Vietnam and Cambodia. Memories we will never forget. Overall the attention to detail was amazing on so many levels…..it is something all travellers should experience. We are so glad we step a little outside our comfort zone for an experience of a lifetime! The Walters

This cruise line firmly stands apart from the crowd. The excursions, except the floating market in Can Tho, are all off the beaten path. They visit actual tiny communities and families. This is only feasible since the maximum number of participants is 28. They have a high regard for the natives. As a result, the locals accept you as a friend and allow you to connect with them. This is an excellent method of ecotourism! We recommend this excursion to anybody interested in exploring this region on a comfortable ship. They also offer fantastic local advisors who will stay with you aboard the cruise and answer all of your questions about their nations. Thank you to the Mekong Princess crew and Eric (the Hospitality Director) for an unforgettable experience. Less

Now that we understand… More My wife and I just disembarked from the Mekong Princess Cruise and I can put my hand on my heart and report that it was the most all encompassing tour and cruise I've ever experienced. Absolutely perfect in every way! We spent 8 days and 7 nights on Mekong Princess and we were thoroughly spoilt and fed and informed all the way. Staff are wonderful and Chef On’s cuisine, whether Khmer, Vietnamese or western was 5 star. Cannot fault. Wish we could do all over again!

Embark on a cultural voyage like no other between Saigon and Siem Reap aboard the Mekong Princess, the most elegant vessel sailing the Mekong River today. Accommodating 28 guests in 14 luxurious suites over two decks and meticulously hand-finished in brass and teak, this luxurious riverboat embodies the indulgence and charm of the French Colonial Era with its every fixture and fitting.

As if the vessel’s exceptional comfort levels, stunning décor, and exceptional service weren’t enough to set it apart, the Mekong Princess is also unique in that it is exclusively the only cruise that commences each upstream journey to Cambodia from Saigon Port itself, without having to undertake a road transfer to embark further upstream like other Mekong river cruises.

Life On Board

The ship’s amenities are a testament to luxury and comfort. The uppermost Bassac Deck boasts the inviting Ramvong Lounge, the perfect convivial, intimate space to unwind, lean back in its extraordinarily comfy sofas, and gaze out over the rustic riverine setting to the tune of classical Jazz rhythms while taking advantage of the complimentary local spirits, beer, coffee, tea, and bottled water on offer.

Alternatively you might head to the neighboring Sundeck, where chaise lounges and comfortable, shaded, seating areas abound, and attentive staff are always on hand to offer you a cool beverage, whether the request is a freshly-squeezed fruit juice to start the day while enjoying an incredible sunrise, or a favorite cocktail to sip while photographing a dramatic sunset.

On the Mekong Deck, rejuvenate and indulge in pure luxury at the Princess Spa, an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Southeast Asia with its near endless spa treatment menu, maintain your well-being exercising with a view at the state-of-the-art fitness center with its floor-to-ceiling windows, and savor exquisite cuisine at the intimate Indochine Restaurant, which combines buffet-style and à la carte fine dining showcasing the culinary expertise of Executive Chef On.

Exciting Activities & Excursions

When you’re not indulging in the ship’s spa treatments, there are plenty of other activities on board to keep your mind and body active, including educational lectures on Vietnam’s people, culture & colonial history and Cambodia’s geography and life along the Mekong River, cooking and fruit carving classes, daily yoga, tai chi, and meditation classes on the Bassac Deck, and cultural performances including Apsara—Cambodia’s national dance—as well as several traditional folk dances.

Designed with an ultra-shallow draft, the Mekong Princess can navigate the most remote areas and shallow waterways, offering a unique exploration of the Mekong Delta, exploring ancient civilizations, captivating indigenous cultures, and breathtaking landscapes.

Experience daily shore excursions, from exciting sampan rides through the narrow mangrove-lined channels of the delta and visits to floating markets, villages, temples, and schools, to taking rickshaw rides to meet local artisans weaving canonical hats and making dry noodles, or artists performing traditional dances. There will never be more than 30 guests per guide, but you won’t miss a thing thanks individual VOX Listening Devices so you can hear every word your guide is saying, no matter where you are.

Embark on the ultimate journey of exploration, where elegance meets adventure on the Mekong Princess – an intimate and luxurious cruise experience that promises to create lasting memories of your sojourn through Southeast Asia and along the Mekong River.

  5.0 - Excellent

With under 20 passengers on board, we believe that the Mekong Princess is a wonderful ship for the trip. Together with others, the Mekong Princess has allowed us to create fantastic time during the trip. Even though the cabin is not huge, it was still sufficient enough, especially when we were served by thoughtful staffs.  All the plans and excursions were well-planned and very intriguing. Sometimes there was a long walk, but it was not a problem for any person of the group. Meal on board was fantastic since the cruise offered a wide variety of choices for different travelers. Mekong Princess is definitely a must to experience the Great Mekong River.

Pudgesmom

I joined the cruise on a 7 days trip from Cambodia to Saigon and it was incredible. For a 24-passenger-cruise, the Mekong Princess can travel to the remote area on Mekong River. My first impression was very great with a clean floor, ceiling and unique decorations. Our suites, have four comfy king-size bed, and especially balcony and two loungers, were fantastic. Pillow menu, laundry, and other services were available on the cruise. Our special compliment for the butler, Makara, for fulfill our special requests and exceptional work. Meals were offered in buffet style for breakfast and lunch, dinner had a menu with various choices, both Western and Asian cuisine. We loved the food and drinks (wine, beer, and cocktails were included). Our guide also shared his knowledge about South East Asia Countries during the meal as well. Excursions were included and varied, providing a good insight into the region, and entertainment was filled with two interesting movies and presentation about the history and culture in Vietnam. The staffs were very helpful, welcoming added with their sufficient English skills. Overall, a recommended cruise on Mekong River.

We are on the final full day on a Mekong River cruise from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap on the Mekong Princess. We can highly recommend this ship and itinerary.

A relatively small cruise ship with 14 cabins and a 1:1 ratio of staff/crew to guests, the level of personal attention is very high. Eric, the cruise director, has combined the best of eastern and western hospitality. A dining room, a lounge and a sun deck comprise the main public areas. They never felt crowded and staff circulate constantly but unobtrusively to handle drink requests. Soft drinks, beer, and simple mixed drinks are included; specialty cocktails and coffees are extra, but reasonable. Good wines are served with dinner (French, Australian, Chile and Argentina).

Breakfast and lunch were buffet style with a chef at the hot food station. Indochina offers a wonderful combination of fresh tropical fruit and French bakery goods. Dinner was from a four course a la carte menu with local and international cuisine. Quality was high; portion sizes were European rather than American, which we prefer. Special dietary issues were accommodated readily and quickly.

The cabins are quite spacious.   Only the two top suites have regular balconies, but with the small number of guests and the large, covered sundeck, we never felt the lack. Our suite had cabin service multiple times per day. Mattress, pillows and linens are high quality. Laundry service is extra with 24 hour turnaround.   A small fitness center had bike, treadmill and hand weights.

As a small ship, the Mekong Princess is able to dock in Ho Chi Minh City near downtown, avoiding a lengthy bus ride to the main river. The small canals we took cutting across the delta were some of the best cruising of the trip, with the banks often only a few meters from the ship. Unfortunately, all Mekong River cruises terminate at Kampong Thom in Cambodia these days, necessitating a 5 hour bus ride to Siem Riep/Angor Wat at that end.

Port stops in the cruise included Phnom Penh and Can Tho (history, shopping and other urban adventures) and several small towns on the Mekong with local craftspeople and village life. Local guides (one in Vietnam, one in Cambodia) traveled with us. As less than thirty people, our tour group did not overwhelm the small towns during our visits; many of these towns are not on the standard tourist trail and seemed warm and welcoming. The Mekong Princess supports several local causes and donates a percentage of revenues to them.

The guest list was pleasantly diverse, with no single nationality more than 30%. A range of ages were represented, with two younger children, but the activities and facilities are really for adults. Very little physical effort is required, with the longest walks less than a kilometer. Given the heat and sun, even in the winter, this was a good match with many of the guests. On-board activities are typical small ship; passengers are mostly expected to entertain themselves.

In summary, this has been an excellent cruise. If, like us, you like the small ships where the barriers between you and the places you visit are lower, you will be very pleased with the Mekong Princess.

Enjoyed your review.  What is the cruise line?

Kristelle

Thank you for that.

We are booked to go on Mekong river cruise with Scenic in Jan 2025.

Bit bigger ship  - 34 cabins and reverse itinerary - ie we start in Cambodia and finish in  HCMC.

We did the same with Avalon, also a small ship, so able to go thru the canals.  I agree that was a bonus.  Our cruise sounds much the same, though we were flown to Siem Reap.

You begin your ride along the riverfront to the Royal Palace, where a leisurely walk takes you through the grounds and perfectly manicured gardens, with opportunities to visit the Throne Hall and Moonlight Pavilion. Upon crossing into the second section of the complex, you walk amongst enormous stupas and spirit houses, on the way to the famous Silver Pagoda, home of Cambodia’s Emerald Buddha and Maitreya Buddha, encrusted with more than 9,000 diamonds. Following a short break, your cyclos take you to the National Museum. Housing the largest pre-Angkorian and Angkorian holdings in Cambodia, the National Museum ends the morning tour with a comprehensive look at many of the artifacts excavated around the Angkor Archeological Area in Siem Reap, as well as other areas around the former Khmer Empire.

The ship docks in Phnom Penh overnight.

On the return drive to Phnom Penh, a stop is made at Tuol Sleng (infamously known as S-21), which was converted by the Khmer Rouge from a large school to a prison and torture headquarters.

As they weave through the market, there will be many opportunities for amazing photographs, while enjoying fresh fruit and the Vietnamese “anti aging drink,” fresh coconut water. Video about Mekong Princess Cruise

Questions & answers, river conditions warning.

The rivers you will sail on are subject to seasonal rises and falls of water level, in some places as much as 30 metres. Water levels can change dramatically overnight and a sudden rise can impede our progress upstream considerably and even prevent us from passing under certain bridges. A sudden fall can result in our being unable to get into certain places or go as far upstream as we would hope. Groundings on sandbars are not infrequent and are part of the excitement of any expedition. Published itineraries are indicational only and subject to sudden change. In such events alternative itineraries will be provided and we do our best to ensure that if a stop is missed we make up for it with another stop.

Passengers are thus forewarned and expected to be flexible and patient. River cruising in Asia can be a dramatic and adventurous experience – not like cruising the controlled waterways of Europe or America. Note also that we operate in areas with little or no developed infrastructure and subject to the strictures of local officialdom. Be prepared for this and it is all more the fun!

For itineraries that include flights in the price of the ticket it should be noted that regional airlines can change departure times or cancel flights at very short notice. In such an event we endeavour to arrange alternative flights but note that this can result in delays often resulting in embarking or disembarking on a different day to that indicated in the itinerary. In such an event the company will cover the cost of hotel accommodation and main meals only, but will not be liable for any claims for compensation for missed days on board a ship, drinks or curtailment of the said itinerary.

What should I wear during on-shore excursions

We recommend wearing loose and comfortable clothing made of cotton or modern material that can readily cool off sweat and body hear. The type of shoes will depend on the excursion types so best to have both light, open toed shoes as well as good walking/hiking shoes with you. A sun hat is always a good idea to bring along. Southern Vietnam and Cambodia are warm all year-round, but our other cruise destinations can get chilly during the winter months (Laos, Myanmar or northern Vietnam). Therefore, it is always recommended to bring a pullover or a warm jacket with you during this period. Many of our cruises include visits to local temples or pagodas. When visiting these holy sites, make sure to wear appropriate clothing which covers your shoulders and knees.

Will I encounter sea sickness ?

Generally speaking, the rivers we are cruising on in Southeast Asia are very calm and there is hardly any motion on any of our ships. A bit of motion can occur during monsoon rains with stormy winds, but the amount of motion is much less than one would feel during bad weather on the open ocean. Sea cruises as we offer in Halong Bay or Lan Ha Bay can sometimes encounter heavier waters and ship motion, although this happens very rarely and port authorities will most likely not allow sailing under any such circumstances anyway. If you are new to cruising or prone to motion sickness, it does not hurt to bring along some motion sickness medication. Drinking a nice hot fresh ginger tea is a natural remedy and tasty alternative our staff is always happy to make for you.

Are there any foods that I should avoid during my cruise (on- & off-shore)?

All food and beverage on board is completely safe to eat and enjoy, including the ice cubes you enjoy in your chilled drinks. We do not recommend drinking water straight from the tap anywhere, including onboard. We provide you with complimentary clean drinking water throughout your cruise. You may want to be bit careful with local dishes as they can be spicier than you are used to from home. Approach new dishes slowly and carefully. If you have a sensitive stomach, then you may like to double check with our chef or onboard managers about specific dishes or meals. On excursions, it may be a good idea to avoid local foods and snacks unless offered by our tour guides. Besides the above, in general we recommend the following motto for your pre- and post-cruise travelling in the Southeast Asian tropics: boil it, peel it, cook it, wash it or forget it!

Are there any health risks that I should be aware of?

The most effective protection from personal contamination is ensuring strict attention to personal hygiene and in particular, frequent and thorough hand washing with soap and water and refraining from hand-to-mouth contact. Colds and other viruses can spread quickly in an enclosed area such as a ship. Continue to practice common-sense hygiene and respiratory courtesy. Wash your hands often and cover your coughs and sneeze. It is recommended that passengers carry anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, which does not require rinsing with water. Use sanitizer frequently and throughout the day, particularly after shore excursions and prior to meals. If you have any questions regarding your health or safety, please do not hesitate to ask your cruise director.

Motion sickness can be a problem for some people when cruising, flying or travelling on coaches and trains and it is a good idea to take precautionary measures. Over-the-counter drugs for treating motion sickness can be purchased at pharmacies in most countries, though a side effect can by drowsiness. Alternatives such as ginger tablets and acupressure wristbands are also available and work well for some people.

What are the visa requirements for Cambodia?

Cambodia visas are easily obtained for most travelers on arrival. Note that passports must have a validity of at least 6 months after your last date of travel in Cambodia. Because travel restrictions across Southeast Asia are constantly changing, we recommend checking with the Cambodia embassy/consulate in your home country for the latest information.

What are the visa requirements for Vietnam?

With the exception of visa exemptions, all travelers must arrange their visa prior to arrival in Vietnam. Passports must also have a validity of at least 6 months after your last date of travel in Vietnam. Because travel restrictions across Southeast Asia are constantly changing, we recommend checking with the Vietnam embassy/consulate in your home country for the latest information.

Do I need insurance? If so, which ones are recommended?

We recommend at least purchasing travel health insurance which covers both in- & outpatient visits and medical repatriation. Buying additional trip cancellation and interruption coverage may also be beneficial in case you have to cancel your travel plans due to unforeseen circumstances.

Do I need to bring electrical adapters?

We always recommend bringing a travel adapter as a standard item in your travel kit. You can borrow an adapter on board, but these may be limited.

It is customary in Asia to tip service providers such as waiters, at approximately 10%, depending on the service. Tipping is expected - though not compulsory - and shows an expression of satisfaction with the people who have assisted you on your tour. Although it may not be customary to you, it is of considerable significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels. There are several times during the trip where there is opportunity to tip the local guides or drivers we use. Recommendations for tipping drivers and local guides would range from $3-$5 USD per person per day depending on the quality and length of the service.

Electricity

Indochina Countries use 220V, and a mixture of flat 2-pin, round 2-pin or 3 pin plugs. It is recommended to bring a universal plug adapter.

Rv Mekong Princess Cruise 4 days Phnom Penh to Can Tho

Day 1: phnom penh city - embarkation.

Our guide awaits you at 11:30 A.M at the Mekong Princess docking at Phnom Penh port. Once aboard, a safety briefing as soon as you embarked will take place in the Ramvong Lounge. After lunch, local cyclo drivers meet you for an exciting city tour of Phnom Penh. Early Sunday morning, the Mekong Princess will make her way towards to Border of Cambodia- Vietnam and complete formalities.

Day 2: Gieng Island, Hong Ngu Border Crossing

This morning, after completing immigration procedures to Viet Nam, we visit the local island village of Hong Ngu, not far from the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Hong Ngu produces a large number of the traditional, Khmer scarves exported to Cambodia. Woven in many homes around the village, here we have the opportunity to see the weaving process under several homes. Some villagers are also embroidery artists, displaying their art in and around the homes. The inhabitants of this area had only encountered a few western visitors prior to the arrival of the Mekong Princess, they are especially friendly and welcoming. Guests will also visit the local temple dedicated to a unique religion founded in this area of Vietnam, Hoa Hao. In the afternoon, we board sampans that will take us into Gieng Island. After a short walk around the local sampan village, where sampans are produced daily by local families, we take a canal drive to explore the mango gardens along the riverbanks. We will try one of most popular local transportation named “xe loi” (motor trishaw) driving through this island to visit a Phanxico Monastery.     The ship sails to Hoa An and anchors overnight.

Day 3: Hoa An Village - Can Tho

This morning, continue excursion by boat to Hoa An village, where is untouched and well-known with flower growing and handmade craft. Our first stop at flower gardens where we will see many different kinds of flowers and learn how to grow and take care of them. Then, a short walking to a local house and chat with the host to see how they live and work in their daily life.  After a short break, continue our excursion on motor trishaw to another village. We stop by at the conical hat-making families, have memorable time chatting with local family members and learning how to create products. Enjoy your walk in the peaceful village with rice fields, fruit trees in between visiting few local families.  This afternoon, the ship sails through an area of the Mekong Delta barely touched by tourism to Can Tho city, known as Tay Do - the capital of the Mekong Delta. Guests will take a short and orientated city tour with visiting to the Zihuang Pagoda (Chua Ong) and enjoying the welcome unicorn dances. Explore on your own around the charming city before having dinner onboard. The ship docks in Can Tho overnight.  *Onboard activity: Lecture of Vietnam, the Past & Present by your local Vietnamese host.

Day 4: Can Tho - Disembarkation

Early morning, please place your checked luggage outside your suite to make the early check out before 07:30 A.M. After that, we aboard the sampans for a cruise through the fascinating Cai Rang floating market near Can Tho. The sampans will weave in and out of the many boats that sail into the market each morning to sell produce and other items the residents of the Mekong Delta need in their daily lives. As they weave through the market, there will be many opportunities for amazing photographs, while enjoying fresh fruit and the Vietnamese “anti-aging drink,” fresh coconut water. Before returning to the ship for breakfast, we stop at a local noodle factory, where we witness the amazing process of how they are made.  After completing the port formalities, it’s time to bid farewell to the Mekong Princess and your ship’s crews. You will disembark at 10:30 A.M.

Rv Mekong Princess Cruise 5 days Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh

Day 1: ho chi minh city (saigon).

Later in the morning, our guide will come to pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City to transfer to the Mekong Princess docking at Saigon Port - 05 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Ward 13, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City for embarkation. Day 2: Ben Tre - Can Tho

This morning, sampans take you through a channel lined with mangroves. We will try one of most popular local transportation named “xe lam” (three-wheeler) to visit a local coconut candy maker. After watching the candy-making process, walking through the village to visit an orchard where fruits native to Vietnam can be seen in various stages of maturity on the vine. After a fresh fruit tasting, you continue to a pier where you board small, local boats for a trip through the narrow creeks lined with Nipah palm before returning to the ship. *Onboard activity: Lecture of Vietnam, Vietnam’s People, Culture & colonial History.

Day 3: Can Tho - Hoa An

We start our morning before breakfast aboard the sampans for a cruise through the fascinating Cai Rang floating market near Can Tho. Before returning to the ship for a sumptuous buffet breakfast, we stop at a local noodle factory, where we witness the amazing process of how they are made.  After lunch, continue excursion by sampan to Hoa An village, where is untouched and well-known with flower growing and handmade craft. The Princess sails and anchors near Gieng Island.

Day 4: Gieng Island, Hong Ngu

After breakfast, we board sampans that will take us into Gieng Island. After a short walk around the local sampan village, where sampans are produced daily by local families, we take a canal drive to explore the mango gardens along the riverbanks. We will try one of most popular local transportation named “xe loi” (motor trishaw) driving through this island to visit a Phanxico Monastery. This afternoon, we visit the local island village of Hong Ngu, not far from the Vietnam-Cambodia border. The ship sails and anchors in Tan Chau overnight. *Onboard activity: Cooking Class Demonstration by our Executive Chef.

Welcome to Southern Vietnam…

By combining shipboard life, in elegant French colonial luxury, with discreet and fascinating shore excursions, this is the most intimate way to be ‘up close and personal’ with the people and culture of Southern Vietnam. The ultimate journey of exploration, along the lower Mekong, is to cruise from Saigon Port through the waterways of the famous Mekong Delta and then head north into Cambodian waters.

…Welcome to Cambodia…

Equally as exotic and by comparison to Vietnam, the plains of Cambodia open before you as we cruise upstream towards the nation’s capital of Phnom Penh. Along the riverbanks the oxen-carts plough their way along a narrow path, working the land, forever contributing to the cooperative, subsistence way of Life that is Cambodia today and yesterday.

  5.0 - Excellent

The Mekong Princess was a delightful boat, with only 20 travelers on board. We got to know all of the travelers every one was well traveled with fascinating experiences. The crew could not have been more attentive. The cabin, while not large, was perfectly adequate. The larger suites were locked up long in advance of the cruise. All of the tours were well planned most interesting. The only downside of the trip was the tour of the palace in Bangkok; it was so crowded you couldn't enjoy anything. We'd skip that. There were a lot of long walks but nothing strenuous. And while we had all meals on board, there were plenty of options to satisfy any food desires. If you want to get a great feel for life on the Mekong River, this is the way to go.

Great trip with Inside Travel

I used Inside Travel to book a holiday trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, including Hanoi, HaLong Bay, Ho Chi Minh City and a cruise on the Mekong River. Our agent, Ms. Hong Nahm, was one of the best I have ever worked with. She was very responsive when I had questions before the trip and arranged internal flights, transfers and tour guides. When issues came up during the trip, we communicated on WhatsApp and she responded even outside of normal working hours. Her recommendation of the Mekong Princess seven-night cruise was a great choice, a small ship with superlative service

mekong princess cruise reviews

By combining shipboard life, in elegant French colonial luxury, with discreet and fascinating shore excursions, this is the most intimate way to be ‘up close and personal’ with the people and culture of Southern Vietnam. The ultimate journey of exploration, along the lower Mekong, is to cruise from Saigon Port through the waterways of the famous Mekong Delta and then head north into Cambodian waters. Please Email: [email protected] or contact the hotline (Whatsapp, Zalo, Viber, Skype) at +84.912 379 189 – Mr. Alex.

Tours Itinerary

Kampong cham- embarkation.

  • Early this morning, transfer by motor-coach from Siem Reap to Kampong Cham and embark the RV Mekong Princess for lunch. After enjoying the afternoon at leisure, enjoy a Welcome Reception and Cambodian Welcome Dinner on board.
  • The ship sails to Angkor Ban and docks overnight.

ANGKOR BAN- PHNOM PENH

  • We start the day with a visit to the charming and authentic town of Angkor Ban. Here, we witness the daily life of the local people, starting with a visit to the pagoda with a special blessing ceremony for our guests by local monks, then we keep going on visiting to a local family’s home, to meet them and discuss their lifestyle. We continue through the village to the local school where we join the children in their classroom and experience what their typical school day is like. Ship sails to Phnom Penh and docks at the center port.
  • This afternoon, local cyclo drivers meet you for an exciting city tour of Phnom Penh. You begin your ride along the riverfront to the Royal Palace, where a leisurely walk takes you through the grounds, with opportunities to visit the Throne Hall and Moonlight Pavilion.
  • This evening before dinner, enjoying the entertainment onboard with a cultural performance including Apsara, Cambodia’s national dance, as well as several traditional folk dances.
  • The ship docks in Phnom Penh overnight.
  • This morning, private motor-coach take you on a scenic 45-minute drive from the ship, arriving at Choeung Ek, the killing fields depicted in the movie, and the center of the darkest days of Cambodian history. You may walk through the fields, visit the small museum and Memorial Stupa, and learn more about the atrocities committed during the Khmer Rouge regime. On the return drive to Phnom Penh, a stop is made at Tuol Sleng (infamously known as S-21), which was converted by the Khmer Rouge from a large school to a prison and torture headquarters.
  • The afternoon is free at leisure for your own exploration the charming city of Phnom Penh. The ship docks in Phnom Penh overnight.
  • *Onboard activity: Lecture of Cambodia’s Geography and Life along the Mekong River by your local Cambodian host.

BORDER CROSSING / HONG NGU - GIENG ISLAND

  • This morning we visit the local island village of Hong Ngu, not far from the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Hong Ngu produces a large number of the traditional, Khmer scarves exported to Cambodia. Woven in many homes around the village, here we have the opportunity to see the weaving process under several homes. Some villagers are also embroidery artists, displaying their art in and around the homes. The inhabitants of this area had only encountered one western visitor prior to the arrival of the RV Mekong Princess, they are especially friendly and welcoming. Guests will also visit the local temple dedicated to a unique religion founded in this area of Vietnam, Hoa Hoa
  • In the afternoon, we board sampans that will take us into Gieng Island. After a short walk around the local sampan village, where hundreds of sampans are produced daily by local families, we take a canal drive to explore the untouched floating area with duck farms, monkey bridges, and tropical orchards along the riverside. We will try one of most popular local transportation named “xe loi” (motor trishaw) driving through this island to visit a Catholic Church, built around the same time as the Notre Dame Cathedral in Saigon in the 1870s.
  • The ship sails to Hoa An and anchors overnight.

HOA AN VILLAGE - CAN THO

  • This morning, continue excursion by boat to Hoa An village, where is untouched and well-known with flower growing and handmade craft. Our first stop at flower gardens where we will see many different kinds of flowers and learn how to grow and take care of them. Then, a short walking to a local house and chat with the host to see how they live and work in their daily life.
  • After a short break, continue our excursion on motor cart to another village. We stop by at the conical hat-making and mat weaving families, have memorable time chatting with local family members and learning how to create products though hands-on experience. Enjoy your walk in the peaceful village with rice fields, fruit trees in between visiting few local families.
  • This afternoon, the ship sails through an area of the Mekong Delta barely touched by tourism to Can Tho city, the capital riverside city of Mekong Delta of Vietnam. Guests will take a short and orientated city tour with visiting to the Zihuang Pagoda (Chua Ong) and enjoying the welcome unicorn dances. Explore yourself on own around the charming city before having dinner onboard. The ship docks in Can Tho overnight.  *Onboard activity: Fruit Carvings & Tropical Fruits Demonstration by our Executive Chef.
  • We begin our morning after breakfast aboard the sampans for a cruise through the fascinating Cai Rang floating market near Can Tho.
  • The Princess sails and anchors near Ben Tre.

*Onboard activity: Lecture of Vietnam, the Past & Present by your local Vietnamese host.

BEN TRE - HO CHI MINH CITY

  • This morning, sampans take you through a channel lined with mangroves to visit a local coconut candy maker. After watching the candy-making process, walking through the village to visit an orchard where fruits native to Vietnam can be seen in various stages of maturity on the vine. After a fresh fruit tasting, you continue to a pier where you board small, local boats (two guests per boat) for a trip through the narrow creeks lined with Nipah palm before returning to the ship.
  • The ship sails through the beautiful Bassac River to Ho Chi Minh City, where it docks overnight at Saigon Port.

*Onboard activity: Cooking Class Demonstration by our Executive Chef.

DISEMBARKATION

  • On arrival at Sa Dec port the traditional sampan is again used to navigate the tapestry of Mekong canals, giving guests the opportunity to observe traditional village life before arriving at the historic town of Sa Dec. If water levels allow, a stop is planned at Cao Dai Temple. A visit to Sa Dec would not be complete without a visit to the former home of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le, who was the inspiration for Marguerite Duras’ famous novel, L’Amant (The Lover), here you will also enjoy a private calligraphy demonstration exclusive for you. You will visit as well the Chinese Temple called Kien An Cung,  built in honor of the Huynh Thuy Le Family, where you will be warmly welcomed by traditional Chinese Lion Dances. Guests return to the ship on foot through the town's market which is a bustling, extraordinary and colourful experience, providing many wonderful photo opportunities of the fresh and unusual produce of meat, live fish and seafood for sale.
  • After a short sail to Cai Be, the English-speaking guide will accompany you on the tapestry of waterways by sampan, passing a colourful collection of local boats from the delta provinces, larger boats selling their goods and the characterful stilted houses of Cai Be.  Continuing into the narrower canals of Cai Be, a stop is made to visit Ba Duc House, a traditional Vietnamese home and garden.  Back onboard the sampans, it’s a short paddle through the canals to reach a traditional rice factory where industrious artisans produce rice paper, rice wine and popped rice. There’s a selection of postcards, souvenirs, and beautiful oil paintings on sale.
  • Before dinner guests gather on the Sun Deck as the ship sets sail for My Tho to enjoy a farewell reception with all the crew, followed by a Vietnamese Farewell Dinner in Le Marche Dining Room.

Sapa tour Package

Great value for money with 4 stars hotel accommodation for 4 couples. The tour guide has been very helpful and brought us to amazing places in Sapa. We want to thanks Thuy the tour guide and especially Mark from Impress Travel for his great service and assurance throughout our trip. We’ll definitely use his service for other tour packages in other parts of Vietnam.

I booked with Impress Travel in July. My contact person was Tommy Thang. He is an amazing person. He was very helpful. He changed my program twice for me. Very accommodating! We started our holiday in the north (Sapa)of Vietnam and travelled down to HCMC. The tour was fantastic, Tommy's arrangements were to the"T". I will always use them if I have to visit the area again and recommend them to one and all. Thank you once again Mr.Tommy and the Impress Team. Sulaiman Pochee South Africa

Tour of Vietnam

Impress travel were amazing. Did my bookings with Daniel for our tour of Vietnam and I must say Daniel was very professional and prompt with his services. All the arrangement, plans, pick-up & drop-off services, hotels, vehicles, sightseeing tours and guides were spot on and excellent. Did 4 nights Hanoi, 1 night Hà Long Bay cruise, 3 nights Hoian, 4 nights Saigon and 1 night in Can Tho. It was totally awesome. Every part of the journey was superbly arranged and planned. I will highly recommend Impress Travel for anyone interested in visiting Vietnam. Very organized and reliable!

So glad I found Impress Travel

At first, I was just planning a trip to Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh for my small family. Some close friends heard about our plans and wanted to join the trip. Eventually the group grew to be 7 families, with 25 adults and children of varying interests and expectations.  While I was excited at the prospect of touring Vietnam with good friends, I felt anxiously responsible to ascertain that everything must be well organized and everyone satisfied. This is why I am so very, very glad to have found Impress Travel. Mr. Mark responded quickly to all my inquiries, customized a wonderful trip according to the group's preferences, tirelessly worked out every detail for our 7-day trip, all at a reasonable price. Our guide, Trung, is knowledgeable, helpful, quick to respond to any need, and well-loved by everyone in the group. All my friends found this a marvelous trip, filled with beautiful memories, very much to my delight and relief!

North Vietnam - Sapa, Halong Bay, Hanoi+ Bai Dinh

Hanoi,Sapa,Hanoi,Danang,Hanoi 8D7N Online searching for a reliable travel agent n come across Impress Travel. Contacted

Accommodations were good especially Thang Long Espana Hotel (the Hotel Management automated upgraded us to VIP rooms. Is really unexpected). Overalled tours n places visited very well but only local guides r not good organizing the itineraries. Especially at Sapa Lao Cai and Cat Cat Villages walking tours push to the same day about 8hours for 7km (which is on 1st&2nd days arrival) so tiring. Lunch not good enough 4 so many hours of walking. In Danang Bana Hill the local guide shd arrange 2 visit Bana Hill 1st n not last coz' spend a short time n not nice photos taken due to rain (went in morning time no rain). Overall tours, hotels, transportation, prices are strongly recommended. Especially Daniel Dang Impress Travel for welcoming and bye-bye wishes. Daniel Dang tks from 8 of us having a wonderful time n memorable trip for 8D7N Sapa, Hanoi, Danang with Impress Travel. Meet u all again.

5days Hanoi-Tam Coc-Ninh Binh-Halong Bay

We are family of 6 from Singapore and Malaysia joining Hanoi Impress Travel on 30 October-04 November 2019. We are really impressed with the company and tour guides with their professionalism and well organised arrangement. Lily is our guide for Hanoi, Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. She is excellent and very informative. She even taking care of us until late night. We walk us from Old Quarters to the hotel and brought us to try the famous road side foods. She even helped us to pay for our order to avoid overcharge by the stall. Another guide, David BK (Swan Cruise) brought us to Halong Bay cruise. He is excellent and humorous. He handles everything throughout the trip. He served meals for guests on the cruise, organised happy hour, guiding us for Kayaking, teaching Taiji and cooking class on cruise. The cruise ship is ok and the hotel in Hanoi-Adamas Hotel is small but new and clean with reasonable ok breakfast. Anyway thank you for the wonderful arrangement.

Professional and well organized

We booked a 8 day private tour package for 9 persons for Northern and Central Vietnam . We experienced great and very professional service from the Impress travel team. Tommy was very easy to contact and accommodated our requests. All the tour guides were very good, spoke good English, friendly and patient. All the vehicles were very clean , spacious enough for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. The drivers were extremely safe and ontime. Meals were served in clean restaurants. Overall we had a good holiday .Thank you Tommy and Impress travel for a great experience.

Excellent, Polite and Helpful Team

Impress Travels has been very helpful in making our vietnam travel amazing. We were a bunch of 7 friends wanting to go on a budget trip covering most locations. Hence, this subjected to a lot of changes during our discussion with the tour guide Daniel. However, he has been patient enough in hearing out our needs - be it itienary , hotel bookings or even the mode of payment.

They really understand your needs. And needless to say our experience was amazing. All of this support and help has really made our vietnam trip the most memorable as far ❤️

5D/4N Hanoi-Ninh Binh- Halong Bay

I was searching for a reliable travel agent and come across Impress Travel and the many reviews of them. I booked 5D/4N, Hanoi-Trang An-Halong Bay private trip for a party of 6. I communicated with Mr Daniel Dang throughout the time until the day we arrived. Mr Daniel is very patient, helpful, and accommodating to our requirements despite many changes made to the itinerary. The price is very reasonable unlike other travel agents. Our tour guide, Lily was very friendly and efficientknowledgeable and speak good English. Highly recommend “Trang An Boat Tour”. The caves was spectacular and beautifully. 2D/1N Halong Bay – Swan Cruise was awesome with amazing view of the cave. Our guide Mr David was hilarious, helpful, accommodating, and everything was well organized. Beside the normal activities of kayaking, swimming, Tai Chi, culinary lesson, we are indeed very very fortunate to have the chance to celebrate the “Mooncake Festival” while cruising and admiring the full moon. Spread of mooncake, dessert, sweet snack, fruits, cocktail, beer and mini dragon dance complete the celebration. Tourists from all over the world party all night long.

Although we paid for a 3-star package, the hotel (Thang Long Espana Hotel), meals and transport provided were also above average. Our gang have a very enjoyable and memorable trip in Hanoi. Impress Travel really impressed us with their service and will engage their service in future. P/S:- Don’t worry, Impress Travel CAN be trusted.

16 days Private Tour

Hanoi – Duong Lam - Halong Bay – Hue – Danang – Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh city – Mekong Delta – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho – Phu Quoc Island - Ho Chi Minh city. The whole trip was arranged with the active help of Mr. Daniel Dang.

Our 3 week tour of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos was excellent
