Why choose a camping trip with us?
Access to remote areas
We take the idea of getting you off-the-beaten track seriously. Forget seeing a destination; we want you to experience it. Our camping trips will take you where busloads of tourists can’t, with feature stays in remote locations you won’t find in any travel brochures.
Memorable experiences
It’s not every day you can fall asleep to the wild sounds of the Serengeti, swap stories around a campfire in the US or count the stars over the Australian Outback . On our camping trips, the fun doesn’t have to stop when the sun goes down – and that’s a promise.
More conscious camping
Responsible travel is at the forefront of every trip we run. We encourage every traveler to think about the environment and how we can make a positive impact, especially on our camping trips. We leave behind zero waste and camp in established areas where we can.
Our favorite camping experiences
Hear the call of the wild in the Serengeti
One of the main drawcards of Africa is the chance to experience your very own ‘circle of life’ moment, and luckily for you, our 10-day East Africa Highlights trip allows you to do exactly that. With two nights camping in Serengeti National Park and no barrier between you and the bush, you’ll get as close to the animal action as possible while still remaining safe with your experienced three-person crew. All you have to focus on is the sound of the wilderness around you and the millions of stars above you.
Visit the Maasai in the remote Loita Hills
While Loita Hills is an extremely remote destination in Kenya (taking approximately 5-6 hours from Lake Naivasha), visiting the home of the proud Maasai people and learning about their daily life and ancient ways makes up for the long drive. Arrive on Maasai land in the early afternoon and set up your tent for the night before meeting a local elder to chat all things culture and customs. There’ll be no WIFI or shower facilities, but we reckon this is one experience that’s worth the small sacrifice.
Discover the delights of Monument Valley
There are few places in the United States that’ll leave you in dumbstruck awe quite like Monument Valley in Utah . Named for its giant sandstone formations naturally created over the centuries, this part of the state’s southeast is well worth exploring from iconic movie scene sites (anyone seen Forrest Gump?) and roadside stalls full of authentic snacks. After a full day of fun, debrief and unwind at your accommodation for the night - a traditional Navajo hut made from logs and dirt.
Fall asleep to the sounds of the Aussie Outback
If you’re after a true Aussie experience, our Uluru & Kings Canyon adventure is the trip for you. Not only will you see some of Australia’s most beautiful natural wonders, but you’ll also get to camp right in the middle of the desert in a campsite with permanent tents solely set up for our use. Sit around the fire at night, swapping stories of the day’s fun and wake up as the sun starts to light up the rich, red color of the earth all around you. That’ll be one sunrise you definitely don’t want to miss.

What is a camping trip at Intrepid?
At Intrepid, we define camping trips as trips where the majority of nights use camping for accommodation. These include trips in North America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Australia and along the Inca trail.
What kind of camping trips are there?
Most of our camping trips are in our Basix style; they keep things simple while promising an amazing trip experience for those on a budget. On our Basix style camping trips, you'll likely have to erect your own tent and pitch in around the campsite, including cooking meals and doing the washing up. However, we do have some camping trips in our Original, Comfort and Premium styles. These styles will often mean camping in pre-erected tents (by the crew) or permanent tented campsites.
Read more about our trip styles
Will I have to set up my own tent?
On some trips, you will have to set up your own tent - these trips will often be part of our Basix style range. But don't worry if you've never done it before; your local leaders and expert guides (not to mention your friendly fellow travelers) will be around to give you a helping hand.
Are the camping trips safe?
On some trips, you will at times stay in unfenced campsites within National Parks. While this is a fantastic experience, there are a few safety rules to follow, and it's important that you listen to any advice given by your leader and the park rangers regarding responsible and safe behavior. This can include things like not leaving any meat or cooked food out overnight and cleaning up thoroughly before you leave the campsite.
Are camping trips accessible for travelers with disabilities?
We're committed to making travel widely accessible, regardless of ability or disability. That’s why we do our best to help as many people see the world as possible, regardless of any physical or mental limitations they might have. However, we’re always happy to talk to travelers with disabilities and see if we can help guide them toward the most suitable itinerary for their needs and, where possible, make reasonable adjustments to our itineraries.

- You will see abundant llamas and alpacas.
- The Lares Trek is also referred to as the Weaver's Trek. This is because you pass through many villages where the best textiles in the area are made.
- You will see the women weaving and get some tips! You also get to visit the magnificent Lares hot springs. It ends at the town of Ollantaytambo, and from there the train trip to Machu Picchu is only 1 ½ hours.

Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu - 4D/3N
- The Trail is a microcosm; lush green cloud forest alive with birds, Andean peaks and steep mountain passes, a landscape dotted with centuries-old Inca ruins, accessible only to those that follow this most famous pathway.
- However, as truly beautiful as the hike may be, the real reason for its popularity lies at the very end of this four-day adventure; passing through the famous Sun Gate for that first magical sighting of Machu Picchu in the distance. Only Inca Trail hikers can access the gate early in the morning, and it is this crescendo, at one of the new seven wonders of the world which makes this hike a feature on so many ‘South America bucket lists’. The Inca Trail is the best way to arrive at one of the world’s most iconic attractions.
Mt. Kilimanjaro Trek - 8 Days Machame Route
- Enjoy amazing views of mt. Kilimanjaro peak.
- Spot the rare vegetation changes and feel the weather changes as you climb up
- Take the challenge of being on the highest peak of Africa.
- Observe the high-alpine deserts.
Premium Inca Trail to Machu Picchu - 5D/4N
- Ideal to avoid most of the other people on the classic Inca Trail. This is well after the hordes on the 4-day classic Inca Trail trek have departed very early in the morning, sometimes waiting in line for up to an hour to start the trek. Allowing them to clear out means you can hike and camp the whole trail in relative solitude away from the masses, as you’re always about half a day behind, and half a day in front of the people on the 4-day Classic Inca Trail trek.
- This 5-day Inca Trail trek version is recommended for photographers, friends, and families with younger kids, this itinerary of the Inca Trail hike moves at a slightly slower pace. While following the same path as the classic 4-day trek, you will stop at quiet campsites to avoid crowds and have more time to enjoy the amazing ruins and scenery along the 28 miles. This 5 day Inca Trail trek also gives you a night at a nice and comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes town so you can shower and clean up for a second visit to Machu Picchu on day 5 and have the opportunity to climb Huayna Picchu mountain after you have concluded your guided tour of the city.

The Saint Gatien Cathedral district
It is at the foot of the Saint Gatien cathedral that our walk in the Old Tours begins. Built on the remains of the Roman city of Caesarodunum, this cathedral was named in memory of the first bishop of Tours. The bishops of Tours have often played an important role in the history of France. Especially Saint-Martin. More than 500 villages in France are named after him and his story is told on the walls of many churches. As a Roman soldier, Saint-Martin would have given half of his coat to a poor man suffering from the cold. The following night, Christ would have appeared to him and he became the most illustrious evangelist in the western world. After many peregrinations, he took the reins of the bishopric of Tours. At his death he was the object of a real cult and Tours saw pilgrims from all over Gaul flocking to him. One of his successors, Gregory of Tours, was the author of a History of the Franks which was a mine of information on the poorly documented period of the Merovingian kings. Although the first cathedral was built in the 4th century, it was between the 13th and 16th centuries that the Gothic style of the present cathedral was developed. Adjacent to the cathedral, the Psalette cloister is a very beautiful construction which oscillates between Gothic and Renaissance. You can admire a beautiful spiral staircase which is a miniature replica of the François I staircase of the Blois castle. What once housed the archbishopric of Tours in the 17th and 18th centuries now serves as a showcase for the Fine Arts Museum of Tours . There you can admire works inherited from lost castles (Richelieu, Chanteloup) as well as from the great abbeys of Tours. The museum’s masterpieces are two paintings by Andréa Mantegna from the altarpiece in the church of San Zeno Maggiore in Verona, brought back by Napoleon on his return from his campaigns in Italy.
The castle of Tours
On the other side of the cathedral, facing the bridge that the Tourangeaux people call the “Pont de Fil”, stand two towers. These are the only remains of the Château de Tours, a powerful medieval fortress built by Philippe le Hardi at the end of the 13th century. This quadrilateral-shaped castle had a high tower at each of its corners. The two towers are therefore all that remains of it. The higher of the two was raised in the 15th century. It is named Tours de Guise in memory of the son of the Duke of Guise who was imprisoned there for three years. Between the two towers, the Logis de Mars, rebuilt at the end of the 18th century, now houses a Museum of Modern Art.
Saint Julien church district
We continue our walk through the streets of Tours to the church of Saint-Julien. Founded in the 6th century by Gregory of Tours, this abbey was home to the relics of Saint Julien. Partially destroyed by a hurricane in the 13th century, it mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles. In the former monastery buildings of the abbey, you can nowadays visit the Touraine Wine Museum and the Compagnonnage Museum. This museum looks back on a long tradition of excellence among French craftsmen who used to take them on a tour of France in order to perfect their art before presenting their masterpiece to an assembly which awarded them the title of Compagnon du Tour de France (Companion of the Tour de France). This museum, unique of its kind, offers a complete panorama of the history of the Compagnonnage. Strolling through the streets surrounding the church of Saint-Julien, you can see the house of the “Pucelle Armée” at 39 rue Colbert. It is said to have been the home of the man who made Joan of Arc’s armour. Before going into Old Tours, we do not fail to go and admire the Wilson Bridge which spans the Loire. It is the oldest bridge in Tours. The Tourangeaux (Tours inhabitants) nicknamed it the “Pont de Pierre”.
Around the Place Plumereau in Tours
After a few steps in the Old Tours, you can admire the superb Italian Renaissance façade of the Gouin Hotel. Just next door stands the CCCOD of Tours, the Centre de Création Contemporaine Olivier Debré (Contemporary Creation Centre Olivier Debré), a showcase for contemporary art exhibitions. We finally arrive at Plumereau Square. The real heart of the city, this square is a former crossroads. It is lined with beautiful half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries. The sculptures that decorate the facades bear witness to the extraordinary liveliness that animated this square in the Middle Ages. It is the ideal place to take a break and have a drink. It is indeed one of the high points of Tours’ life as soon as the sunny days allow the terraces. Just a stone’s throw from Place Plumereau stands the former basilica of Saint-Martin. As early as the 5th century, pilgrims came from all over Gaul to visit the tomb of Saint Martin. This basilica remained an important religious centre until the end of the Middle Ages. Unfortunately, it was partially razed to the ground during the French Revolution. Only the Charlemagne Tower and the Clock Tower remain of the original building. To get an idea of what the basilica was like, you can go to 3 de la rue Rapin where a museum is dedicated to the former basilica. In the courtyard of a neighbouring private building (5 rue Descartes) you will find its cloister, a small jewel of the Touraine Renaissance.
The Chateauneuf district
It is pleasant to stroll around Place Plumereau. By taking the rue des cerisiers, the rue de la rôtisserie, the rue de la serpe, the place du grand-marché or the rue du change, we discover streets lined with half-timbered houses whose names are full of history and tell the story of life in Tours in the past. This district was known as the Chateauneuf district, a neighbourhood with its own fortifications. For several centuries Tours was indeed a double city with two poles of attraction which were the basilica and the cathedral. It wasn’t until the 14th century that a single rampart united the two districts to form the old town centre of Tours.
Jean Jaurès Square in Tours
We leave the former Chateauneuf to reach the Place Jean Jaurès. The latter houses the imposing Law Courts and Town Hall. The latter was designed by the Tourangeau architect Victor Laloux, to whom we owe the famous Orsay Train Station in Paris. Behind the Town Hall, every Wednesday and Saturday, Boulevard Bérangère hosts one of the oldest flower markets, a magnificent mix of scents and colours. A few steps from the Place Jean Jaurès, we leave the historic Tours for a Tours that already has a foot in the future. Opposite the elegant 19th century railway station stands the Vinci congress centre, designed by the architect Jean Nouvel. Faced with this building with its resolutely modern forms, one cannot help wondering what a stroll through the “Vieux Tours” will look like in a hundred years’ time.

Tickets and Reservations
Be sure to have a copy of your receipt to go on a tour. You can use a screenshot of your receipt or bring a paper copy. Ticketed tours with a ranger are required to enter the cliff dwellings. Tours run from mid May to the middle of October.
" Tour tickets can be purchased only on recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. Tickets are available 14 days in advance, 8:00 am MT, on a rolling daily window. For example, tickets for May 17th will be available starting May 3rd at 8:00 am MT. Demand for tour tickets is high. We recommend reserving tickets as soon as they become available. " ~ Recreation.gov
Cliff Dwellings & Tours
Mesa Verde National Park is open year round; timed-entry reservations are required between May and October. Once in the park, tickets are available for ranger-led tours of a number of cliff dwellings.
7. Cliff Palace
Get up close and personal with Cliff Palace. As the largest cliff dwelling in North America, the architecture and design is amazing. It was built between 1190 and 1280 CE, and offered residence to over 100 people.
Getting to Cliff Palace requires you to climb down uneven stone steps and four ladders. Total walking distance is 1/4 mile.
Cliff Palace
8. Balcony House
Scaling ladders as the Ancient Puebloans must have done and then squeezing through a narrow tunnel on your hands and knees makes this a tour for adventurous souls. Some of these passages were used over 800 years ago!
Check the website for the tour specification and times.
Square Tower House
9. Square Tower House
Square Tower House is the tallest standing structure in the park complete with original plaster, paint, roof, and rock art. Mesa Top Loop offers a great view of the tower from the overlook, but the ranger-led tour of Square Tower House is a glimpse into one of Mesa Verde's most impressive cliff dwellings.
The hike to Square Tower House is a strenuous 90-minute, 1-mile round-trip hike. If you have a fear of heights, you may wish to view this dwelling from one of the overlooks. The path is unpaved and uneven and includes cliff drop-offs, switchbacks, and two ladders for you to climb down. Each tour participant must have the ability to climb over boulders and navigate steep trails unassisted.
10. Ranger-led vs Ranger Assisted Tours
Ranger-led tours are hour long tours through some of the ancestral dwellings. The ranger-assisted tours are timed-entry experiences that allow you to move through the cliff dwellings at your own pace. Rangers are stationed along your route to answer questions and facilitate your experience.

Final thoughts on 10 epic mesa verde tours on a national park road trip in colorado.
On our first visit to Mesa Verde National Park, Chris and I marveled at the cliff dwellings. I found myself wondering how the Puebloan people climbed down to their homes using small footholds and ladders? What about small children? Did these homes keep intruders out? You may wonder the same.
Be sure to sign up for one of the Mesa Verde tours to experience an up close and personal experience for yourself.
You will surely leave with a greater sense of their building skills, adaptability, methods of self-preservation, and a general sense of day to day life on the mesa.

How to make the most of Passport DC’s free embassy tours
Dozens of countries from Armenia to Zambia are hosting open houses Saturday during the annual Around the World Embassy Tour , one of those “only in Washington” events you’ll tell friends and relatives about. How often do you get invited into an embassy to explore its art collection, sample traditional cuisine, and watch free music and dance performances, let alone play cornhole in the Norwegian Embassy’s garden? Here’s a guide to planning for a successful day of globe-trotting without leaving D.C. Also, many of these tips are just as helpful on May 11, when the European Union hosts its annual E.U. Open House embassy tours.
- Because the event is popular, lines are common, and they get longer at some of the better-known locations, such as the Korean Cultural Center at the South Korean Embassy, or the embassies of the United Kingdom, Jamaica and Thailand. If there’s a particular embassy you must visit, get there before doors open at 10 a.m. to improve your chances of getting in.
- If you’re trying to visit a variety of embassies, pick a particular neighborhood to explore — maybe Massachusetts Avenue near Scott Circle, the string of embassies on Massachusetts northwest of Sheridan Circle, or the embassies dotted among the streets of Kalorama — and research the participants within a few blocks. That way, if you get tired of waiting outside one embassy, you can head to another, preferably smaller, destination nearby. Also, as veteran Around the World-ers will tell you, the embassies clustered around International Drive and International Court in Van Ness — China, Bangladesh, Egypt, etc. — are closer together and can be easier to get into than the ones on Embassy Row.
- You don’t even have to go indoors to get a taste of a country: Some embassies offer outdoor live music, dance performances or, in the case of China, lion dances to entertain the crowds waiting to enter their buildings.
- If you go to a busy neighborhood, try starting at the embassies that are farthest from the Metro station — people have a tendency to stop and get in line at the first embassy they pass. Walk past them, then work your way back.
- For serious explorers, this is a good weekend to skip brunch. Participating embassies and cultural centers are open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and lines get longer as the day goes on. An early start will help you make it to the most locations — getting to five or six is a solid day of sightseeing.
- Even if you plan well, you might be able to avoid lines at only a handful of embassies. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a phone charger and a book, just in case.
- Carry cash or a credit card. While many embassies offer free samples of food or drinks, some also charge. Last year, the Embassy of Barbados handed out free sweets and had a chef preparing traditional Barbadian dishes as a teaser for the upcoming Barbados Food and Rum Festival. Everyone sitting on a chair in the embassy’s front garden watching the cooking demo got a two-bite hors d’oeuvre. But in the parking lot behind the embassy, there was a party raging: The ambassador was hanging out next to a DJ spinning upbeat carnival songs; a bar served potent rum punches ($6 each) and beer ($4); and a team of cooks was dishing up flying fish with rice and beans, oxtail platters, barbecued pig tails, and macaroni pie (main dishes $15-$35 with sides, smaller plates $1-$10). While the Barbados Association of Washington did have a credit card reader, that’s not true of every embassy we’ve been to.
- Some embassies have marketplaces with art or textiles from native artisans. The Embassy of Kenya transformed the forecourt of its building into a showcase of baskets, clothing and jewelry; Ukraine House, the Ukrainian cultural center, had traditional Ukrainian fashions, nesting dolls and accessories for sale on tables in its garden.
- Related: Even if you don’t plan on buying anything, grab the first free tote bag you see, because you’ll pick up plenty of tchotchkes, pamphlets and other gifts throughout the day.
- Don’t be shy about asking what you’re in line for. The Dominican Republic hosted a veritable street party last year, with a DJ on its front porch and people dancing in the road. Depending on which way you approached the building, though, there were two very different lines: One was to access the indoor embassy tour, and the other was to purchase food and a rum tasting. You don’t want to get to the front of the line to find out you’ve spent 20 minutes waiting for the wrong thing.
- Bigger isn’t always better. Some of the more popular embassies can be so crowded that you don’t really feel like you’re learning anything about the country. At an off-the-beaten-path embassy, such as the Embassy of Gabon, you have a better chance of getting face time with a staffer who can talk about the cultural uses of elaborate masks on display, or explain how national parks cover more than 10 percent of the country. (That’s about three times the percentage in the United States.)
The Around the World Embassy Tour is part of the month-long Passport DC program, and souvenir passports are available from booths near the Dupont Circle and Van Ness Metro stations; at the Mexican Cultural Institute ; and at the International City Food Festival , held at the Square food hall. Visitors can collect stamps while visiting embassies and cultural centers, though there’s no reward for filling the book.

3 Day Southwest USA National Parks Tour from Las Vegas
I wasn’t 100% sure about doing the tour experience because I’m not one who usually enjoys meeting strangers but this tour was all planned out for me so my lazy side went ahead and booked it. I ended up having such a great time!! Our tour guide, Joel, was definitely a 10 out of 10 and our group of travelers were from all over the world. My husband and I got to share these beautiful places with new friends. All the hotels were safe and clean, food was tasty, and the van was reasonably comfortable. Joel was a plethora of interesting information and the tour was well organized without feeling rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour, our guide Joel, and Bindlestiff Tours.

7 Day Southwest National Parks Grand Canyon Camping Tour
This has been one of the best travel of our life. The landscapes are all breathtaking and all the activities are extraordinary. The only negative point is that this is a lot to do in 7 days and we would have like to spend more time in each national park.
- Christmas & New Year
Magnificent West – 8 days
Except the hotels and breakfast, rest of the tour was great.
Hiking Utah's Mighty 5
Fantastic experience. The hikes were all different but the landscapes equally stunning. Our CEO was excellent in his knowledge and his guidance of the group. There was alot of driving but it was the only way to see all 5 Parks, and was definitely worth it. It was a full on tour, but then that is what we wanted and paid for. Worth every penny!
California National Park Discovery
the tour itself was amazing. The national parks do not disappoint. The travel accomodations were very cramped and uncomfortable. I am only 5 foot tall and I was cramped in this 14 passenger van. Food opportunities were limited.

Magnificent West - 7 Days
Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe Die Organisation war gut Die Unterkünfte auch Es wurde viel Trinkwasser verteilt Die Reiseleiter, insbesondere Eduardo, fand ich sehr informativ und sachlich.
Best of Utah & Arizona National Parks
Great parks. Convenient not to need to play any logistics!
Mighty 5 From Salt Lake City
Our tour of the Mighty Five was amazing. This was our first group tour experience and the bar is set high for future adventures.
Sedona, Monument Valley & Antelope Canyon – 3 days
Lorenzo and Ozzie were both incredible - amazing photos, lots of stops without feeling rushed, and plenty of humor! Would definitely recommend.

National Parks Tour 3 Days Small Group Tour from Las Vegas
The activity was a once in a lifetime menorable experience. Our tour guide Hayley was one of the best tour guides we could possibly have. She was extremely knowledgeable about each location in the tour and was very nice to talk to. We went for the camping experience and she went above and beyond to set up our tents and took care of our food requirements. The entire group was very friendly and I am still in touch with all of them after the tour. Definitely recommend!

Hike Alaska: Glaciers and Denali
Exceeded expectations, everything was smooth. Great guide.
Alaska Kenai Adventure 9 Days
Me and my wife wanted to visit Alaska and when we saw this tour it was exactly what we wanted! We had an amazing time in Alaska and I believe it was because all the conditions that got mixed on our trip: the nature, the tour people and our guide. Thanks David for the awesome time! Our group was relatively small and the trip felt more like a private tour from the beginning until the end. David was really knowledgeable of Alaska, its wildlife and nature. You could see his passion for it when he was explaining us the wildlife and stories while driving. During the trip there were a variety of activities that are suitable for everyone. My favorite ones were kayaking and wildlife watching. I cannot express enough how good David's eyesight was for detecting bears, goats, whales, otters, you name it! Without his help, I think we would have missed it all. Great experience and Great job Infinite Adventures :)

Best of the Canyonlands (7 Days)
This was my first bus tour trip so it was all new to me. There are only a couple things that I think would have made it an excellent trip: 1) Since we were going to the Grand Canyon, I would have preferred to visit either the Pictographs or the Mazes at Canyonlands, and 2) in Arches, a visit to Delicate Arch. Monument Valley was the highlight of the trip for me.
What people love about Fully Guided Tours in USA
Mike Brown was the BEST guide I have ever had!! His knowledge of the history, culture, flora and fauna of the southwest was phenomenal. He was articulate and had a pleasing way of talking. He was also accommodating and helpful. wow! We were lucky to get him for our tour!
We did the 7 day Southwest National Parks Grand Canyon Camping Tour with Adriann as our guide and it was outstanding! We drove through beautiful landscapes, had the opportunity to hike in all the national parks and were able to take great photos. Adriann is very accommodating, knows a lot about the individual places and manages to make the trip an unforgettable experience for everyone. We chose the camping option and didn't regret it. The sunrise over the Moment Valley was particularly unique! We can highly recommend Bindlestiff and especially Adriann Narciso :)
Great tour, good group size too

Gary Player joined the German KW Golf YouTube channel to discuss various topics, including his health, fantastic golf courses, exercise, golf coaches and the difference between pros and amateurs.
But most interestingly, he voiced his opinion on Tiger Woods' career and how the Big Cat’s choices saw him underachieve, relatively speaking of course.
Starting at 8:45 in the video, Player dropped the microphone.
“Tiger Woods had his career ruined, completely ruined,” Player said. “He won the 14th major at the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. He won by 14 shots. The next week, he’s having a lesson from a man who, I don’t know if he played in the Masters, couldn’t break 80, but he’s having a lesson from this guy.”
He did not stop there. The 88-year-old explained how Woods continued to make what he deemed poor decisions.
“Then he goes to another guy who couldn’t break probably 85 in the Masters, with the pressure or the British Open or the PGA on the final day, and he’s having lessons from them,” he said. “Why did Tiger do that? He was so good, but I understand he wanted to get better. If he went along and never changed, he would have won a minimum of 22, maybe more.”
“He would have gone down as the greatest athlete the world has ever seen, man or woman on the planet, but he made the wrong decision,” Player said.
Player goes on to state there are at least 20 players that have screwed up their game because of their swing coach choices. He named Trevor Immelman, Mike Weir, Michael Cameron and Woods as a few examples.
Tiger won his 15th major in 2019 at the Masters, taking home the green jacket for a fifth time. After that, the horrific 2021 car crash set him back.
“Unfortunately, he’s hurt his leg so badly. Whether he’ll win another tournament or not is debatable,” Player noted.
The 24-time PGA Tour winner explained how he will always root for Tiger because of how he changed golf.
Player did not drop any swing coaches’ names, but those who have followed Tiger’s career likely know who he is hinting at ruining the 82-time winner’s career. Regardless, he voiced a strong opinion that will certainly create some discourse.
Did Woods ruin his career by changing his swing so many times, or were injuries and other elements causing him to underachieve as a golfer? Sound off in the comments, and let us know what you think.

Five Boro Bike Tour is pedaling back to NYC this weekend. Here’s what to know.
The TD Five Boro Bike Tour, the nation’s biggest communal bike ride, is returning to the Big Apple this weekend for its 46th iteration through the streets of all five New York City boroughs.
Forecasters are predicting a wet and rainy day on Sunday, May 5, but that won’t stop about 30,000 cyclists from getting on two wheels and pedaling along the 40-mile course, which begins in Manhattan, grazes the Bronx, returns to Manhattan, then travels through Queens and Brooklyn before ending on Staten Island.
The tour, which is organized by Bike New York and supports bicycle education programming, has run every year since 1977 except for 1991, when it lost its original sponsor, and 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first wave of cyclists will begin the tour at 7:30 a.m. in Lower Manhattan, while the sixth and final wave will depart at 10:25 a.m.
Numerous streets will be closed to auto traffic for the tour. Those include Sixth Avenue in Manhattan between Franklin and West 59th streets, the FDR Drive between the Third Avenue Bridge and 63rd Street, the Queensboro Bridge upper level, the Brooklyn-bound span of the Pulaski Bridge, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway from Downtown Brooklyn to Bay Ridge, and the lower level of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.

2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson best bets, predictions: PGA Tour odds, picks
- View Author Archive

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.
The PGA Tour stops in McKinney, Texas, this week for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, a name that doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
This will be the fourth time TPC Craig Ranch has hosted this event and each of the first three turned into birdie-fests.
The winning scores in the previous three have been -23, -25 and -26, so golfers will need to make a lot of birdies in order to contend this week.
The course is a par-71 that measures more than 7,400 yards. It features tree-lined fairways and water hazards on 13 of the 18 holes.
You would think that would translate into a difficult test for the pros, but that hasn’t been the case. It has played as one of the five easiest courses on the tour in each of the last three years.
Wind and rain are in the forecast, so perhaps it won’t be so forgiving this time.
Given the length of the course, it certainly doesn’t hurt to have some distance off the tee. There are very few wedges used at this event, as 70% of approach shots in 2023 came from at least 150 yards.
Golfers who have good proximity numbers with their mid and long irons will have a significant advantage this week getting onto the large bentgrass greens.
Course history has not been very predictable at this event, so don’t hesitate looking at golfers who have never played at TPC Craig Ranch.
At the end of the day, this week will be all about making birdies.
Top odds to win the CJ Cup Byron Nelson
Cj cup byron nelson best bets, si woo kim to win (+1800, betrivers ).
Kim has struggled on the greens this year but has still managed to make the cut in all 11 of the events he has started.
He has gained at least 5.7 tee-to-green strokes in six of his last eight starts, which puts him up there with the best in the field over that timeframe.
He’s a good total driver of the ball, excellent on approach, and he has been terrific around the green this season.
He’s one good putting week away from capturing his fifth PGA Tour title. I could see it coming this week since he finished second at last year’s event.
Adam Scott to win (+2500, BetMGM )
If you just look at Scott’s finishes, he appears to be having a very consistent year, but his strokes-gained metrics in his game log are all over the place.
He’ll gain off the tee and around the green one week and he’ll gain on approach and on the green the next week.
The way I see it, he just needs all parts of his game to fire on the same week and he’ll find himself back in contention.
I like the number that we are getting in this weak field and the fact that he’s finished T32 and T8 in his two starts at this event.
Nate Lashley top 40 (+125, bet365 )
My model always seems to love Lashley. For what it’s worth, he’s come through more often than not this year.
If you look at his statistics, he’s above the field average in all four of the strokes-gained metrics.
You might see a lot of missed cuts in his game log, but they have almost all been by one or two strokes.

On a strokes gained basis, he’s actually having a very good year.
He’s finished in the top 25 at this event in each of the last two years, and we are getting +160 on him to finish in the top 40 this week.
Peter Kuest top 20 (+330, FanDuel )
Kuest burst onto the scene last summer and rattled off a number of top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour. Eventually, he ran out of sponsor’s exemptions and failed to secure his tour card for this season.
However, he has played well on the Korn Ferry Tour and got an invite to play in the Corales event a couple of weeks ago. He finished in the top 10 and earned himself a spot in this field.
He’s a bomber off the tee and can make birdies in bunches. He played here last year and finished T14.

Zion Basecamp Tour
Best of Utah Basecamp
Bryce and Escalante Basecamp
More about utah camping vacations, why a camping experience.
Camping is an absolutely fantastic way to see and experience Utah’s amazing Canyon Country and world-class national parks like Zion and Bryce . The other option is staying in lodges, which is also a wonderful way to experience Utah. Camping though is especially fitting for the moderate temperatures, brilliant night skies and long shoulder seasons of America’s 45th state. Utah’s weather is consistently excellent for hiking during the day and sleeping at night for a solid 6 months out of the year. The night skies are some of the best in the world, and it’s difficult to put a value on the experience of sitting beneath the Milky Way in 60 degree temps, with a roaring campfire and hot cup of tea, coffee or cocoa to sip on. What may seem illogical on the trip is that the camping experience also costs less than lodging, while adding many surprisingly enjoyable elements.
What Exactly is a Camping Tour?
At Wildland Trekking we call our camping tours “basecamp tours.” These trips are based out of vehicle-accessible campsites such as those at national park campgrounds, private campgrounds and state park or other camping facilities. We provide nearly everything so you can relax and focus 100% on the hiking and outdoor experience. Our Utah camping tours include tents, sleeping bags (professionally laundered after every trip), comfortable sleeping pads, camp pillows, camp chairs, campfires (where/when allowed), wonderful meals, hot drinks, cold drinks, backpacks, trekking poles and more. What this means is you don’t have to travel with or fuss with gear (outside of a few small items), and the logistics of a national park adventure (reservations, transportation, fees…etc.) are all taken care of for you. Additionally, your local guide will help bring the national parks to life through natural and cultural history, knowledge nuggets, observations, stories and their personal passion.
Which National Parks?
- Duration – the more parks included the longer the trip is. Our Zion Basecamp Tour is the shortest at 3 days and it focuses on what is arguably the heart of Utah’s Canyon Country. The Bryce and Escalante Basecamp Tour is 5 days in length and – as the name implies – features just Bryce and Escalante. Finally, there is our Best of Utah Basecamp Tour , which hits Zion, Bryce and Escalante and is 6 days in length.
- Solitude – solitude is another factor to consider. Zion National Park especially is quite crowded, and so if you’re looking for an experience of solitude we recommend looking at the Best of Utah Basecamp Tour, which offsets the busy-ness of Zion with visits to more off-the-beaten-path destinations. And the Bryce and Escalante Basecamp Tour skips Zion all together to focus on quieter (but equally stunning) destinations.
- Level of Renown of Destinations – let’s face it, some people may not necessarily plan a camping trip to Utah like this again, so many of our guests are looking at experiencing as much as possible of the destinations with the highest level of renown. Without a doubt, our Best of Utah Basecamp Tour is the best option if this is your philosophy. Zion and Bryce are the two most famous parks in Utah, and this trip spends ample time at both, plus time at destinations with more solitude.
When To Join a Utah Camping Trip?
Spring and fall are the best seasons for Utah camping. In general, mid March through mid June, and September through early November are the peak times. You’ll find that the days tend to be warm and the evenings cool, which is exactly the sort of weather that makes a camping trip truly great. If you have more questions about timing (or anything else!) please feel free to call us at 800-715-HIKE (4453) 7 days a week.
Are These Trips Good Family Options?
The short answer is YES! These trips are wonderful options for families. The whole family gets an opportunity to bond in the outdoors, with spectacular hikes and scenery gracing our daily excursions, and the guides doing all the heavy lifting with cooking, logistics…etc. We especially recommend our Best of Utah Basecamp Tour and our Bryce and Escalante Basecamp Tour for families for one major reason – our campground near Escalante is on the shores of a lake where kids can enjoy swimming and playing in the water after our daily hikes.
Families with children 11 and younger are asked to book private camping tours, but if your kids are 12 and older, then your family can join our scheduled camping trips. If you have questions about doing a family camping trip in Utah, give our Adventure Consultants a ring at 800-715-HIKE (4453).

A brief tour of pop music’s caffeine addiction.
Hear songs by Sabrina Carpenter, Squeeze, SZA and more.
By Lindsay Zoladz
Dear listeners,
A few weeks ago in our Friday feature the Playlist, I recommended a bubbly new single by the pop artist Sabrina Carpenter and made a bold prediction: “Get ready to hear this one everywhere.” Even more quickly than I imagined, the prophecy has come true. Last week, “Espresso” debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Carpenter’s highest charting hit yet. More important, it has taken over the nation’s psyche. You can hardly go anywhere these days without hearing someone quoting the song’s infectious hook “That’s that me espresso” or wondering aloud, “what is a ‘me espresso?’”
That’s a profound philosophical question for another day. Today, we are simply honoring the absurdist joy of “Espresso” with a playlist of songs about caffeinated beverages.
Coffee has been a consistently evocative theme throughout pop musical history, so this mix travels from 1940 right up to the present moment. That trusty beverage is often used to describe a sophisticated kind of romance (as it does on Otis Redding ’s swooning ballad “Cigarettes and Coffee”) or perhaps the idle hours waiting around for said romance to occur (see Peggy Lee ’s sultry take on the 1948 standard “Black Coffee”). Chappell Roan tries to use it as a shield against romance on a track from her 2023 album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” reasoning with a former flame, “I’ll meet you for coffee, ’cause if we have wine/You’ll say that you want me, I know that’s a lie.”
In “Espresso,” Carpenter uses the caffeine metaphor to suggest how restless she makes a guy she has wrapped around her finger: “Say you can’t sleep? Baby, I know.” Also, crucially, she understands that “espresso” rhymes with “I guess so.” That’s poetry.
It’s time for the percolator,
Listen along while you read.
1. sabrina carpenter: “espresso”.
A breezy summer bop with a dash of bizarro humor, “Espresso” is about to be blaring from every other beachside boombox. Carpenter’s gloriously unbothered vocal and the track’s disco-inflected sheen make the whole thing go down easy. ▶ Listen on Spotify , Apple Music or YouTube
2. Squeeze: “Black Coffee in Bed”
A memorable image — “there’s a stain on my notebook where your coffee cup was” — kicks off this smoldering, six-minute classic about trying to move on from a relationship while concrete memories linger all around. (And yes, that is Elvis Costello on backing vocals.) The British band Squeeze’s songwriter and guitarist Chris Difford revealed in a 2019 interview that an actual coffee ring inspired those opening lines: “Yeah,” he said . “I still have the notepad in my office.”
▶ Listen on Spotify , Apple Music or YouTube
3. Peggy Lee: “Black Coffee”
The great Peggy Lee kicks off her 1956 debut album with an elegant reading of this song, written by Sonny Burke and Paul Francis Weber and first made famous by Sarah Vaughan. That titular brew helps her stay awake as she waits up for an absent lover: “I walk the floor and watch the door/And in between I drink/Black coffee.”
4. SZA: “Percolator”
This brief but effervescent track from the deluxe edition of SZA’s 2017 debut album, “Ctrl,” chronicles the singer’s insecurities and doubts before declaring, “I wanna be a percolator.” I’m just going to pretend she’s talking about the coffee kind.
5. The Ink Spots: “Java Jive”
This 1940 single from the pioneering vocal group the Ink Spots is a fun and slangy ode to a hot cup of Joe. “Slip me a slug from the wonderful mug,” singer Deek Watson croons, “and I’ll cut a rug till I’m snug in a jug.” And you thought “that’s that me espresso” was silly!
6. Otis Redding: “Cigarettes and Coffee”
Companionship and good conversation make an ordinary moment glow — “just talking over cigarettes and coffee” — in this warm, crackling ballad from Otis Redding’s “The Soul Album.” “I don’t want no cream and sugar,” he sings, “’cause I’ve got you now, darling.”
7. Chappell Roan: “Coffee”
This playlist began with one rising pop girlie, and it concludes with another: the suddenly ubiquitous Chappell Roan. Over a sparse but theatrical piano arrangement, Roan figures meeting an ex “only for coffee” is a better bet than meeting for dinner or drinks: “Nowhere else is safe, every place leads back to your place.” By the end, though, she’s not even sure a quick, caffeinated date is innocuous enough: “’Cause if we did coffee, it’s never just coffee.” Don’t even ask her about espresso.
