Product Description

To improve on the highly successful X-20 Tour Irons, Callaway Golf added new features that allow the X-22 Tour Irons to play even better and feel even softer. Precision Notch Weighting and a new sleeker hosel combine to raise the MOI for better stability and allow the CG to be moved lower and more in line with the center of the face. This generates ideal trajectories and significantly enhances the level of feel. The head shape has been refined with the thinnest possible topline while still using 360-Degree Undercut Channel, and the optimized sole width progression provides better turf interaction.

Golf Club Review of Callaway X-22 Irons

Golfers on a green

  • DESCRIPTION Golfers on a green

Callaway X-22 irons boast stainless-steel heads, modified cavity backs and a revamped version of Callaway's bore-through hosel. Each club is cut with the company's Precision Notch Weighting (heel and toe weights), which balances center of gravity and kick-point. The X-22 series consists of a, game-improvement design and a more streamlined Tour model for advanced players. Each model (3-iron through pitching wedge) is available in True Temper steel or Callaway graphite shafts with standard flexes.

Callaway has a true gem with the X-22 series. Each club offers a balanced center of gravity and superb launch angle that propels the ball quickly. Tour model X-22s are just as comfortable and produce long, penetrating ball flights. Working the ball is effortless with the Tour's low center of gravity.

Like some Callaway irons of the past, X-22 wedges are a bit soft (gap wedge through lob wedge). Even the pitching wedge slightly fails to produce solid spin around the green.

Bottom Line

For performance, control and forgiveness, X-22s are superb clubs. Both models are versatile and live up to their claims. Although a wedge package (gap wedge to lob wedge) from Cleveland or Titleist is a better choice (and common), X-22 irons are at the top of the premium club heap.

Callaway X-22 Irons

Callaway x-22 irons .

The X-22 Irons don’t disappoint and are the best X Series irons Callaway Golf has ever created. By maximizing perimeter weighting, these irons boast an MOI that’s 10 percent higher than their predecessors. The ideal CG position has been preserved, generating optimal ball-flight trajectories.

This post very resonated with me! - tstoto

ขอบคุณสำหรับข้อมูล บทความนี้มีประโยชน์มาก! tstoto

I managed to swing the first shot well, and the golf ball flew beautifully to the middle of the field. We and tstoto walked together towards the place where the last ball landed. During the trip, light chatter and cheerful laughter accompanied us. A relaxed but enthusiastic atmosphere adorns every step we take.

So far there are no weaknesses

Good look, good feel, good results. 10 yards longer than any other irons I have ever had. Forgiving, but still able to work the ball. Roof Repair

Definitely nothing to say.

The X22 is by far one of the most forgiving irons I've ever used. It's definitely suitable for beginners to learn before proceeding to advance. The distance are very decent and the accuracy is fairly good as well. Highly recommended for beginners

Replaced my Palmers with X22's. Had them custom fitted by Callaway... Bad news. They added 1/2" to shaft length even though I'm only 5'7". Found the clubs at leasts 1 club shorter than my old ones. I talked to another independent fitter who said he had the same comments back on the X22. Callaway must have tweeked the numbers, angles etc. or ?? I'll avoid Callaway from now on

Customer Service

Taylor Ping, Palmer, Hogan,

Love them. Replaced grips with winn lites (medium). Shaved 3 strokes off handicap. I hit a really high ball now, so wind is more of a factor, but they deliver consistant trajectory and distance.

Callaway Diablo driver, woods, utility 3 hybrid.

I was one of the first in Holland to own an X22 golf set. From the beginning i was very satisfied. Love to use it!

Bought at Club hockey & golf in Tilburg. Great shop! Thanks to Levon van Haaren!

Ping classics.

Bought my set of graphite shaft X-22's from Golf Town. Saved $250 from the regular price and decided it was time to treat myself to a brand name set of irons, likely the last set I'll need to buy. I like them a lot. It is true, you will see a 10+ yard gain on your well-struck shots. I had a 150 yd. shot to the front of a green (normally a 7 iron) and I cleared the flag-stick, leaving a ball mark well beyond. I figured I hit that shot 165 yds! Very forgiving too and with the graphite shafts, reasonably light clubs. The ball flight can really sky if you want it to, yet despite being 'game improvement' clubs, they aren't the clunkiest looking option on the market. I am still learning to get the most out of these clubs, but they definitely inspire confidence. The quality is excellent. Highly recommended for anyone who loves to play golf every year. A good investment in more ways than one.

Before the X-22's, my golf bag was filled with a mix of junk clubs. None of a recognized brand name, that's for sure! LOL

Callaway X-22 Better Player Irons Review

What we say...

We love Callaway irons: cool, classy and better-performing than Steven Gerrard in a Liverpool shirt, they tick all the boxes. And the latest bats for 2009 look the business too.

And for those of you looking for a forgiving club, check out the Callaway X-22 irons . These beauties boast an MOI that is 10% higher than the X-20, which means even yuor bad shots have a chance of finding the target. Nice.

There is also a Tour range in the X-22 irons which benefits from great feel and a super-thin topline.

And for the wannabe ‘players’ amongst you, the new X-Forged irons sound ideal. Legend Roger Cleveland has been involved in the reshaping of the irons, with the CG in the long irons positioned a little lower than before, helping to send the ball on a higher flight. But with the shorter sticks, the CG has been raised to help promote the more penetrating trajectory preferred by better players.

2009 Review

Our test team agreed there is a lot going on in this clubhead, with a lot of potentially distracting lines on the face. That said, our testers got on pretty well with the Callaway X-22 irons , especially Richard expected more forgiveness from the 6-iron.

2010 Review:

The X-22 didn’t quite deliver the goods on this occasion, with the boys a little wild in   rms of dispersion ratings. Craig noted how well it flew when you caught it out of

the middle, and Alex thought the  graphics stood out well. But Colin  wasn’t sure bout the strange hosel and thought the head was a little too chunky.

Distance : 3.5   Dispersion : 2.5    Looks : 3.3   Feel : 3.7   Forgiveness : 3.8

Legendary performance of the X Series irons with even more forgiveness. Features Extreme Notch Weighting, VFT, S2H2 and Modified Tru-Bore.

The perimeter weighting of the X-22s has been maximised for a moment of inertia  that’s 10 percent higher than their predecessors, meaning you get more forgiveness on off-centre strikes.

The ideal centre of gravity position has been preserved, generating optimal ball-flight trajectories. Calalway have also incorporated the Modified Tru-Bore design, dampening vibration for enhanced feel.

The tour-inspired head shape has a slightly thinner topline and sole with a large sweet spot for improved aesthetics and forgiveness to boost your confidence. Essentially, Callaway's engineers took elements designed for Tour players and incorporated them into highly forgiving irons with a higher MOI so they can be played by a wide range of golfers.

The new Callaway X-22 irons are available in graphite for £849..

Here's a quick pre-review review. I only got them a few days ago and have been to the range twice in 20d weather... like hitting rocks on a frozen lake!

I am about a 30 handicapper... and I switched from X-16's to the 22tours mainly because I got tired of the tennis racket feel of the thick rounded 16's and wanted something cleaner and more accurate. Wanted to get the forged, but at my handicap I think the players irons are a stretch enough... so why be greedy?

I absolutely love these irons! I find they are better for me since I can actually tell what I am doing wrong by the flight of the ball, rather than do the same wrong thing over and over with the game improvement irons. The flighted rifle shafts are much better for me than the uniflex. You can really understand the penetrating ball flight on say a 9 iron and the high kick on say a 4. I feel like I have alot to work on, but these are the right tools to work with!

They feel pretty soft, and the added meat does inspire a little more confidence than one would have with a true blade. The sharp lines around the face feel more precise than the 16's... and they are pretty solid all around! I will post again after I have had them for awhile, but I felt like they needed some sort of review on here so a preview is better than nothing!

sheldonjhacker

what's the difference between the "flighted" PX which are standard on the new Callaway X22-tours and the "regular" PX which are standard on the Titleist AP2's ?

Just reading the review that indyvai wrote. I have the x20's now. Regular not the tour edition. I really really like the X-22 Tours. I too like the slim down version with less offset. My handicap after last season ended being 18. Little scared on switching to a harder club to swing. I can draw my X20's, but can't fade them at all (just goes too straight). I am a solid ball striker just not very long. 7 iron goes about 150.

If you were in my situation would you go for the X22's? or just hold on to my X20's?

You could be able to handle the x20 tours or 22's. However you should be prepared to have a break in period or time to get used to a less off set, and very narrower sole. i saythat because it will be much easier to dig the sole on the tour than your x20 which have more bounce. I say this because i went from the x18 to the x 20 tours and had this problem. However once i got passed it i have never looked back!

Thanks Cally4life. I think I am going to make the jump. I appreciate your help.

I currently have the X-20 Tour 3-PW.

Is there much difference between the X-20 Tour and X-22 Tour iron sets?

the tours still have a good amount of forgiveness?

silliwilli

they look fairly forgiving if you are coming from a blade or player type iron such as mp-52 or first generation x forged. They do look thinner than the x20 tours...like the x tour irons imo

I just today ordered the X-22 Tours, with the 6.5 project X shafts. I am going from the X-18's, what differences With distance, control, and feel will I notice going from the X-18's to the X-22 Tours?

i havent hit mine yet.......however they are very smaller, heel to toe, and sole width. However they say they are a forgiving club for a "players iron" so we will see. Im went from the x20 tours to these x22tours and they are very different in size!(smaller)

how is callaway marketing this in terms of swing speed? Should you be a higher swing speed player to use these clubs? Or avg to faster is fine?

The feel of the club is 10x better then my x20's. Distance was pretty much on par with my x20's. Didn't see a huge difference. The x22 tours just felt better. Alot less bulkier. There is still snow in Ny so i havent played a round with them though. They are amazing at the range though. We will see how they turn out when I actually get out with them in late March.

I just ordered the new x 22 tours, 5.5 flighted, came from Pings S 58's. I am looking forward to getting them in. I only tested out the X 20 Tours so I am hoping they will perform the same or better.

are the X-22 tours forgiving enough for a 14 handicapper?

I think you'll be just fine. If you're playing stiff, go to the 5.5's and if you're playing regulars, go to the 5.0's. The 6.0's are boards.

I can reply to both. I am a reg flex player in all irons and woods. i use fusions right now in uniflex and due to some hooking with offset want a less offset iron. I also want forgiveness but a slightly thinner profile.

I agree with other poster that i wish it was a tad slimmer, it truly is not much different in that regard compared with my fusions which are not bulky.

But i tried them in a sim and was shocked how much i liked them and thankful that i did not get the x forged as i never got a soft zuno like feel.

My plans were to get my next irons in the x forged model but it was not good for my swing. I am a 13 handicap and this iron will work well for low handicappers and if iron play is decent, i think up to the mid teens.

ON a weird note, i swing slow, but they only had 6.0 in stock (i will go back to test 5.0 which is r flex) and although it was like swinging a lead pipe, i still hit it good. Actually farther than i hit other irons in test. This does not mean i am a stiff just that in the right flex my gut says it will be a really nice iron. I am in lust and the pics orginally turned me off.

good lesson to see and hit in real life. I wish i could do outside but its too cold in toronto :)

Gang, I just finished shafting my new X22 tours over the weekend. I installed KBS tour stiff shafts. Now these are tour issued heads I picked up from a fellow WRXer. Some people say there is no difference between tour issue or regular store bought clubs. I lean more toward the tour stuff but that is just me.

I will set the stage a little. I am a die hard Titleist player and have been for years. To be honest I wouldn't consider Callaway clubs EVER...... For some reason the X22 tours caught my eye and I thought I would give them a chance.

The only thing I have to say is awesome. They are really nice to hit. They set up nice, distance is great and forgiveness is fantastic. I know what you are thinking, how do they feel compared to a forged club. Please keep in mind, I have played forged for 20 or so years. In my opinion they don't feel like a forged club but darn close to it. Everyone agrees Muzuno's are a little softer feeling then Titleist. The X22s defiantly are not buttery soft like the Mizuno's but they do feel close to my Titleist 695s and to me feel way better then the AP2s. I do wish the top line was a little thinner but I will get used to it pretty quick. Now the KB Tours are a great shaft as well and have some bearing on feel as well.

So a really great looking club that is more forgiving then my 695cbs that feels and looks just as good. Hmmm no brainer for me.

I hope this help any of you that are on the fence.

Granted I've only had 2 range sessions so far, i LOVE mine. I have DG TT S300 w/ Sensicore in them. Perfect combo for me, feel soft, go straight. I would reccomend there to anybody in heart beat. Perfect choice for both low and mid handicap...

Ohiogolfer1

I bought the X-22 tour irons with the 6.0 shafts but my swing speed is only 86 MPH should I pay the 285 bucks to switch to the 5.0 shafts will I really gain that much

I'd try to sell them and buy a new set w/ the 5.0. I think there would be less $ loss. And you'd have brand new again.

note: i bought my 4-pw that were a month old for $550. =0) So you could resell for about $78 a club i spose.

at the minimum 5.5 would be better.

golfdad907

I'lll bet a call or two to Cally cust serv could get this addressed for you far more reasonable than 285. Depends on who you talk to and how you talk to them. If tell them truth, just bought too stiff, often, at least for me, they reshafted sets for next to nothing, if not nothing.

I called cally 3 times they told me to jump off a cliff and pay them 300 bucks

i talk to a club fitter here and he said that all i will lose is distance about 10 yrds by sticking with these 6.0 if that is true then it is no big deal I hit a 8 iron 150 now so if I have to hit a 7 iron 150 so be it. Will i lose anything else

I now have my X-22 Tours, they look sweet, hit the 7 iron on thier vector thing at the place, if that plays true to outside then I am in love, I am going to the range with them today and going to play next week(hopefully).. Just glad to have them, now I get to play them. I will report back with some results from the X-22 Tours after a range session and a round hopefully

I went out and played a quick nine today, it was windy 20+mph, so distances were hard to compare to what I was expecting because of wind, but they sure felt awesome, no shanks, some fat and some thin shots but the majority of them were good shots. Very happy with the X-22 tours cant wait to play them in better conditions......

forgiving enough ?

Yes, you should be fine. I am pretty close to your cap(i'm a 12) and they are fine. You will love them!!!

well then if that is the case you lied or were wrong on your first post saying you are 86 mph and should you get the 5.0. With that swing speed regardless of style of swing or impact you are a 5.0 or 5.5 at best. You are also not getting 150 with the 8 iron. you would need a 90+ consistent swing for a chance at regularly hitting it that far.

unless you hit all your iron as thin wormburners?

ps cally switched my clubs and shafts for free...guessed i asked nicer ;)

“I like pretty much everything about it to be honest. And the ability to travel through the wind, being able to maintain its flight through cross winds or into the wind. A ball that flies through the wind also needs to have spin, and it has that around the greens.”

- XANDER SCHAUFFELE RANKED #5 IN THE WORLD

"The Chrome Tour Ball has made a big difference in my feel. The cover is so much better and this ball has exceeded my expectations, especially around the greens.”

- AKSHAY BHATIA 2024 Valero Texas Open Champion

“The feel is really good. Around the greens, I’m seeing the right spin and roll out with chip and bunker shots. Everything fit the window, the dispersion is better, and that’s why I’m in it. When I got it on the course it was better in the wind, and the consistency is great.”

- MIN WOO LEE 2nd on Tour in Total Driving

The hype is real.

X-22 Tour NG Irons

Description.

Performance irons designed for accomplished golfers seeking premium feel and stability. To improve on the highly successful X-20 Tour Irons Callaway Golf engineers added new features that allow the X-22 Tour Irons to play even better and feel even softer.

Temporarily unavailable.

Features & Benefits

callaway golf 22 tour

Performance irons designed for accomplished golfers seeking premium feel and stability. From the makers of the #1 Irons in Golf for 14 years and counting, the new X-22 Tour NG Irons feature new grooves that conform to the Condition of Competition introduced on Tour in 2010. To improve on the highly successful X-20 Tour Irons, Callaway Golf engineers added new features that allow the X-22 Tour Irons to play even better and feel even softer. Precision Notch Weighting and a new sleeker hosel combine to raise the moment of inertia (MOI) for better stability and allow the center of gravity (CG) to be moved lower and more in line with the center of the face. This generates ideal trajectories and significantly enhances the level of feel. The head shape has been refined with the thinnest possible topline while still using a 360-Degree Undercut Channel, and the optimized sole width progression provides better turf interaction.

  • Precision Notch Weighting : Precisely positions more weight to the perimeter of the iron to create a higher MOI for greater forgiveness and stability while maintaining the CG position that produces ideal trajectories and feel.
  • Tour-Proven Head Shape : Features the thinnest topline possible while still incorporating a 360-Degree Undercut Channel. The blade length is shorter and the CG has been moved lower and in line with the center of the face to provide unparalleled performance with enhanced feel.
  • Redesigned Hosel : The sleeker design significantly improves feel and allows the hosel to be more easily adjusted to fit a golfer's custom specifications.
  • Sole Width Progression : The sole width of each iron has been optimized based on the length and loft to provide better turf interaction through the entire set.
  • Callaway Golf Core Technologies : VFT Technology maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for more distance and forgiveness. 360-Degree Undercut Channel maximizes perimeter weighting by moving the CG lower and farther back in the clubhead, enlarging the hitting area and stabilizing the clubhead for more forgiveness.

How Blades Brown, 16, rallied to make the cut in PGA Tour debut at Myrtle Beach Classic

callaway golf 22 tour

Blades Brown refused to let his PGA Tour debut end after 36 holes.

The 16-year-old Brentwood Academy sophomore caught fire to make the cut at the Myrtle Beach Classic, shooting a 4-under 67 in Friday's second round to qualify for the weekend.

Brown made five birdies in all and closed with four in his final nine holes. That included back-to-back birdies on holes No. 6 and 7, part of his back nine after he teed off on No. 10 to start the day. He recorded just one bogey after making six in his 1-over 72 opening round Thursday .

"A wise man once told me that the tournament starts on the back nine on Sunday, and for me, I know today is not Sunday, but . . . that was the Sunday back nine for me," Brown said. "I just said, 'OK, whatever happens, happens.' "

Brown is 3-under 139 for the tournament and tied for 48th, up 41 spots from the first round. There were 70 players who made the cut, which was at 2-under. Chris Gotterup leads at 12-under.

Brown received a sponsor exemption to play in Myrtle Beach this week while the PGA Tour’s main event, the Wells Fargo Championship, is being played in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the top-ranked golfer in the Class of 2026, No. 4 in the AJGA rankings and No. 176 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

He became the second consecutive 16-year-old to make the cut in a PGA Tour-sponsored event. England’s Kris Kim , 16, did so at last week's CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Miles Russell, 15, tied for 20th at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Lecom Suncoast Classic last month.

Brown got some motivation to start the day from his mom, Rhonda Blades Brown, a former Vanderbilt women's basketball player and WNBA New York Liberty star.

"I was like, OK, I can either make the cut or do homework tomorrow and feel bad about myself. My mom was kind of throwing that at me this morning, and I was like, all right, Mom," Brown said. "It definitely feels surreal. After I made that putt on 9, that little 2-inch putt, I was like, yes, I can go chill by the beach."

Brown began his back nine one shot below the cut line after a bogey on his ninth hole, but birdied two of his next three holes. He ranks 14th in the field with 10 birdies in two rounds.

He finished Friday above multiple past PGA Tour winners, including former Vanderbilt and Montgomery Bell Academy star Brandt Snedeker (5-over), Aaron Baddeley (1-under), Ryan Moore (1-under), Bill Haas (1-under) and Kevin Kisner (even).

More: How 16-year-old phenom Blades Brown may be among best golfers in Tennessee history

"Yesterday was my first time ever playing a PGA Tour event, so I was a little nerve-wracked the whole day," Brown said. "Today I felt a lot better. Today I felt like I was playing golf that I know how to play."

His exemption at Myrtle Beach stems from his record-breaking performance in last summer’s U.S. Amateur, the nation’s premier amateur championship. He broke Bobby Jones’ record as the youngest medalist in U.S. Amateur history, tying for first place in the tournament's stroke play portion. Brown was eliminated in the match play portion in the round of 32 but earned recognition as one of the nation's top rising stars.

He became a client of Sportfive sports marketing agency and now has NIL deals with Callaway and New Jersey-based Transcend Capital Advisors.

Brown has been on the radar in Tennessee for some time. He has won three consecutive TSSAA Division II-AA individual titles and last season set the Tennessee Junior Amateur Championship record for the lowest score in tournament history, finishing 22-under in 54 holes.

In 2023, he was the first to win Tennessee Boys’ Junior and Men’s Player of the Year honors in the same year.

Best golf stand bags in 2024 for organizing and carrying your clubs

W hether you're cruising the course in a golf cart or going on foot, stand bags are some of the most popular golf bags  you'll see. They tend to be lighter than cart bags and the retractable legs allow you to stand it on the ground for quick access while teeing up. For walkers, that makes them a practical choice for carrying. For golf  cart riders, those same features make it easy to haul in and out of the cart so you can have all your essentials close to you as you prepare for your shot.

If you're ready to upgrade your game this spring, we've rounded up the best golf stand bags in 2024 that offer the stability, storage space and convenient features that you want in a golf stand bag.

Best golf stand bag overall: Ping Hoofer 2023 stand bag

The Ping Hoofer stand bag  boasts a well-rounded design and attention to detail that makes it an easy favorite and one of the most popular golf stand bags on the market. To start, the stand system is stable, durable and easy to use. Whether you're setting it on level ground or a hill, the base and legs keep this bag upright so you can grab your clubs and everything else you need without worrying it will fall over.

With 22 liters of additional storage capacity, there's not only plenty of room for your gear but plenty of ways to keep it organized. That storage volume is spread across 16 pockets. Yes, you read that right. Eight zippered pockets and eight slip pockets allow you to keep your golf balls , tees, gloves, towels, water bottles and everything else you might need in their own space.

With its stable design and ultra-organized storage, the Ping Hoofer lets you focus on your game rather than hunting for the right club or gear.

At 5.5 pounds, it's not the lightest stand bag but still comfortable to carry thanks to padded shoulder straps that convert easily into a single strap as needed.

Top features of the Ping Hoofer 2023 stand bag:

  • 16 pockets allow for maximum organization of all your golf gear and extras.
  • A zip-off ball pocket panel and magnetic golf rangefinder  pocket ensure your most important gear is easy to access.
  • The ergonomic top, adjustable straps and side handle make this bag easy to maneuver whether you're carrying or carting it.
  • The scratch-resistant legs and durable base keep this bag stable no matter where you set it.

Best golf stand bag for frequent carrying: Titleist Players 4 2023 stand bag

If you're more likely to hoof it than ride in a cart, you need the lightest, most comfortable-to-carry golf stand bag you can find. The Titleist Players 4 2023 stand bag fits the bill. Weighing just 3.7 pounds and coming with padded straps, this golf stand bag is lightweight and easy to carry.

The six spacious pockets include a full-length apparel pocket with a curved zipper for easier access. There's also a thermal-lined drink sleeve on the side to stash your water bottle (or other preferred golf refreshments). A separate, horseshoe-style tee pocket ensures you'll never hold up the game by hunting for a tee.

Durable, lightweight and loaded with enough pockets for all your gear, the Titleist Players 4 is built for golfers who don't want a good walk spoiled by a bulky, uncomfortable golf bag.

Top features of the Titleist Players 4 2023 stand bag:

  • Padded shoulder straps help distribute the weight and allow for comfortable carrying.
  • The 4-way, full-length divider keeps clubs organized and prevents them from banging into each other.

Alongside durable construction, this stand bag also protects your clubs by including a four-way shaft shield. This soft rubber divider prevents your clubs from banging against each other when you move the bag. The Flex Pod base on this new design also makes it easier to put the bag down. It can stabilize itself to stay upright without you needing to fiddle with the positioning to make sure it's stable.

Nice appetizers, bar has an excellent assortment of drinks, beers and is centrally located - love it! David was taking care of the group this visit and I really loved the vibe here! Come on by for a visit next time you are downtown!

Fire iron is always a great time but this location in Capitol Hill was great! Clean, great set up, friendly staff and fast service. Drinks are just OK and didn't try the food. Great for those rainy nights.

Came upon this place walking around the streets of Seattle after dinner. We were intrigued by the $1 deal ($1 for a whole hour of game play!) However, you do have to order 2 drinks/food items per person. We got a section in the back all to ourselves and staff kindly allowed us to extend the playing time after the allotted hour was up. It was still $1/hour. Pro tip: Chase sapphire reserve and sapphire members get a small gift with registration (luggage tags).

We've been into mini golf and virtual golf lately, it's nice to find indoor active activities that can be done on a cold wintery day. We've made it here a few times since they opened, it's nice to have another place to stop off when you are already on Capitol Hill. We've walked in twice and booked a bay without a reservation, but you could always just come by for food or a drink if that is your thing. I like the decor and the intimate feel of the various bays, the couches make the experience more enjoyable. We don't play actual golf but enjoy playing some of the for fun games for half an hour or so. It feels like a teeny bit of exercise and you can enjoy a drink while you do it. It's nice to be using real clubs and real golf balls, my Dad is an avid golfer and he would be proud that I sometimes pretend that I know what the different clubs do. They are even nice enough to provide men and women's clubs and have them available for left handers too. It seems like real golfers hang out here too, but don't be intimated if you are just there for a fun way to pass the time. There is a full bar here, drinks are pricey, but make the experience more fun. On our last visit it was nice to be able to order yourself from the tablet, rather than having to wait for someone to come by. I have found that some of the drinks were not the same on different visits, not sure why that is, but I have since changed my drink order. My main complaint is that it is hard to know when your time limit is approaching, I wish there was some kind of timer. I come with a set amount of time in mind and don't want to have to pay extra if I go over. I think next time I will set my own timer.

Book with Greg Enbusk for fittings or lesions!!! I scheduled a 3hr Full Bag fitting with Greg Enbusk and it was absolutely incredible. Not only was Greg extremely knowledgeable and helpful, he was just a great guy to be around. He started off the fitting ensuring I knew there's no judgements or need for me to feel self conscious about skill level or my swing and that we're here for one simple purpose and that's to improve my game. There was also no sales pitch or eventual attempt to set me up with gear that fit a bottom line more than it fit me. He led with "I don't work on commission so let's just find you the right clubs for you." Now apart from how personable he was, the session was even more insightful and helpful to my golf game. I learned things about my swing and habits that I never realized were the contributing factors to how I hit the ball. Specifically understanding where my club face is making contact with the ball and how I and upgraded clubs can help that situation. I walked away with recommendations for each club type in my bag and ended up upgrading my irons the following week based on his recommendation. I've played 2 rounds with my new irons and have dropped about 10 points of my game. Without a doubt I'm just hitting straighter and father as well. Also, my wife had done a mini-fitting with him the day before. She had never golfed before and was very unsure of what she should expect but was immediately met with the same warm and comforting approach I received. She's also got a starter set on the way courtesy of Greg's recommendations and has high enthusiasm for getting started with golf. I obviously had a rough idea of the positive experience I could expect with Greg based on my wife's but those expectations were exceeded for sure. Do yourself a favor and if you're in need of a club/bag fitting or a lesson, book time with Greg Enbusk! He's the absolute man!!!

I really hope this place is successful. They've got a good product and good food to eat at a very reasonable price while you're playing golf.

This place really has it all! Came in during the day to check it out and learned about all 5i has to offer in their state-of-the-art sims from Blair - so friendly and knowledgeable! - and ended up staying longer to enjoy lunch here too. Full service kitchen and bar here, the food was great - mostly American bar food but not greasy at all really well done. Such a cool spot with lots to do in one place - you can even book lessons with a golf pro at this location: see PGA certified Charles Lee!

Phenomenal place. Take advantage of $1 sims late night until July 5th (10pm to close for $1 on Fridays and Saturdays). Oh and they close at midnight, at least while late nights are a deal so not the 11pm time listed everywhere. Came for a Yelp event before, enjoyed my time, and returned. Golf experience really caters to everyone. Looking for a more fun activity? There's gamified golfing resembling Wii sports almost. From collecting monsters together to capture the flag or king of the hill, you can somewhat play as a team or against each other. Want to hit like you're at the range? There's that too, as expected. Track your shots and check form? All the analysis is here and you can record yourself easily at your booth. There's a little something for everyone whether they're new to golf or more advanced. Morgan is awesome! Friendly, attentive, all you could want. Amazing bar with all types of drinks. Great selection of seltzers, beer, wine, and cocktails. The watermelon juice was delicious, although it's basically all sugar it's like Gatorade on steroids. Thanks for introducing me to melawater. Started out with a Transfusion, John Daly, and Swing Oil. Snagged a Watermelon High Noon and Watermelon Water as well. Had the opportunity to grub on their pizza and sliders as well. Great pairing with drinks and golf as you relax on a sofa. Transfusion - a bit stronger than the John Daly, it's a similar drink as it's vodka with other liquids. Basic at it's roots. Good starter drink to sip and golf. John Daly - lightest drink which didn't have much alcohol in it's taste. Very basic as there's some vodka with other liquids. A nice drink to sip or start with before moving on. Swing Oil - a pretty loaded drink. Super strong, dark rum definitely kicks it up. Margherita Pizza - a nice small bite, but nothing exceptional. Comparable to frozen pizza for me, but I'm not coming here for the food so I wouldn't put a high emphasis here. Chicken Sandwich (Sliders) - MVP for sure. Tender, juicy chicken really hit the spot while being fairly light. I'd order this if hungry or wanting a snack.

SO MUCH FUN - from the atmosphere to the games themselves. It's a lot of fun. This would be a great space not only for friends but for cooperate events too :) We really enjoyed ourselves and the bar! The buttermilk chicken sliders were absolutely delicious!!

Will have to come back with some friends. Hidden in cap hill, this place is pretty fun. The golf games have multiple modes for you to try out. I'm not a golfer but somehow I got sucked in and kept trying to do better. I enjoy the setup. The seating was great for socializing. The have about 10-15 different golfing bays each fitting around 10 people. There are also a few table and sitting areas if u need to break away for a bit. Guess what. They have a bar and serve food also. The food is pretty decent. I had pizza, chip, and their sliders. The slider really hit the spot.
