CHICAGO — Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour is headed to Chicago — are you ready for it?

The megastar is scheduled to shake it off Friday-Sunday at Soldier Field, performing a three-hour retrospective of her 10-album discography with essentially no breaks. OWENN and girl in red will open the show Friday and Saturday, while MUNA and Gracie Abrams will kick off the festivities Sunday.

Swifties following the tour so far know all too well that planning ahead of time is crucial — from executing the best bejeweled outfit to figuring out transportation, bag policies and more.

Don’t have a cruel summer. Check out these tips and tricks to making your Eras Tour experience at Soldier Field live up to your wildest dreams.

Parking lots open 2 p.m., the doors to the show open 4:30 p.m. and opening acts take the stage about 6:30 p.m.

Based on the tour schedule so far, Taylor Swift tends to start her portion of the show about 7:50 p.m., and the set typically ends 11:15-11:30 p.m.

Getting there

By car: Major roadways like I-55, I-90, I-90/94, and I-290 all lead directly to Soldier Field. Get specific directions here . Parking is very limited near Soldier Field, but you can reserve a spot in advance through the venue’s website. Lots vary in proximity to the stadium. Currently, rates for the event range from $15-$85, plus fees, when bought ahead of time.

Shuttle service for the event will also be provided from the Millennium Park Garage and McCormick Place Lot B. The shuttle will run beginning at 4 p.m. and end at 1 a.m.

By public transportation: Concertgoers would be wise to use the city’s public transportation systems to get to and from the stadium.

Swifties heading in from rural towns or the suburbs can use Metra and Amtrak trains to get to Downtown. Passenger trains will arrive at either Union Station or Ogilvie Transportation Center , depending on the train line. From there, attendees will need to either hail a taxi, summon a rideshare service or take the No. 130 Museum Campus bus. At Union Station, the rideshare pickup location is at Canal Street and Adams Street.

Concertgoers coming from the south suburbs can take the Metra Electric line to 18th Street, which drops off passengers just steps from Soldier Field.

Attendees can also take the CTA Red, Green or Orange Line trains to the Roosevelt Station, which drops riders off about 0.75 miles from the venue — about a 20-minute walk to the stadium. Alternatively, the No. 146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express picks passengers up from the Roosevelt Station and drops them off at Soldier Field.

Travel tip: Park your vehicle at a Metra or Amtrak parking lot — or in a Chicago neighborhood — and take a train or bus to the stadium to avoid traffic and parking complications.

Taking the 146 bus from the Roosevelt Red Line, as well as just walking from the Roosevelt Red line.

Walking from the Roosevelt Station to Soldier Field.

By rideshare or taxi: People taking Ubers, Lyfts, or taxis to the show will be dropped off at the 18th Drive turnaround, which is just west of the stadium. There is a pedestrian walkway that leads directly to Soldier Field.

Rideshare/taxi drop-off at the 18th Drive turnaround just west of Lake Shore Drive. Also where 18th Street Metra is.

By bike: Bike racks are near Gate 14, by the Children’s Garden and behind the Kennedy Bas Relief. Bring a solid lock.

Tailgating at Soldier Field is allowed, with certain rules .

Traffic post-show will be chaotic; have patience.

Make sure to check Metra and Amtrak train times in advance, as many trains don’t run past 1 a.m. However, the CTA Red Line runs all night, though service tends to be more limited overnight.

If you are taking an Uber, Lyft or taxi after the show, the designated pickup area is at Balbo and Columbus drives for the first hour after the show. After one hour, rideshare pickup can be called to the stadium.

Rideshare/taxi pick-up after the show at Balbo and Columbus.

Travel tip: If you plan to use a Metra or CTA train or bus line, download the Ventra app (or download the Amtrak app for Amtrak trains) in advance and buy tickets there so you won’t have to wait in long lines at the stations.

Soldier Field abides by the NFL’s clear bag policy, which states the following:

  • Only a clear, 12-by-6-by-12-inch bag is allowed. This is important, since the stadium won’t let any other kind of bag in. Fortunately, a quick Internet search will yield plenty of clear, concert venue-approved bags, since this policy is pretty standard now at large arenas.
  • A 1-gallon clear plastic freezer bag, like a Ziplock, is also allowed.
  • In addition to a clear plastic bag, a small clutch bag is OK. However, it can’t be bigger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches.
  • If you do bring a prohibited style of bag, you can check it at lockers at the 18th Street Turnaround south of the venue along the walkway after passing through the tunnel under Lake Shore Drive.
  • Diaper bags aren’t allowed, so diapers must be brought in within a clear bag, and one bag is allowed per person, including children.

Swifties know one of the biggest aspects of this tour has been acquiring merchandise. Fans can stop by Soldier Field before the concert for early merch sales 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and starting noon on show days. Early merch stands will be outside Gates 3 and 4, along the sidewalk north of the Waldron Deck and at the Stadium Green.

You can also stay up to date with Swift’s merch truck by following @taylornation on Instagram, where you’ll likely get a notification asking if you’d like to join a broadcast channel. That channel will send direct messages to followers with information regarding the timing and location of the tour-themed merch bus.

However, there will also be merchandise stands throughout the stadium.

Tickets waiting at Will Call can be found at the large ticket booth across from Gate 10. A photo ID with a name matching the ticketholder’s is required for pickup.

What not to bring

According to Soldier Field, the following items are prohibited:

  • Water bottles
  • Standard purses
  • Fanny packs
  • Diaper bags
  • Mace/pepper spray
  • vVdeo/movie cameras
  • Confetti (don’t worry; it will be provided)

Smoking policy

It’s probably best to keep the lavender haze at home — smoking cigarettes, including e-cigarettes and vaping devices, are prohibited in the stadium, and Soldier Field doesn’t allow re-entry.

Helpful tips

Banners and signs are allowed, but they can’t obstruct the view of others or include any profanity, advertising or political slogans.

Want a better view? Standard binoculars are fine to bring, and cameras (without a case) are also OK. However, your camera must have a 6-inch or smaller lens.

Trying to decide what to wear? This tour has become known for fans’ expressive outfits; just make sure they don’t obstruct any views. And if you’re thinking of showcasing your best cosplay for “The Man,” leave the briefcase at home; it’s not allowed inside. Also make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the show lasts over three hours.

A cardigan may also be helpful, as the current forecast shows temperatures in the 70s. However, in Chicago, the weather can change at a moment’s notice, so make sure to keep checking the forecast.

Attendees may also want to opt for a poncho, as Swift has played at least two shows during rainstorms so far.

In Nashville, one show was delayed by a thunderstorm for about 4 hours before Swift took the stage to perform into the wee hours of the morning. The show at Soldier Field is expected to go on regardless of sunshine or midnight rain.

Important information for buying tickets during the TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan:

Our goal is to maximize the number of fans who have an opportunity to shop.

The link in your text will direct you to the show you were selected for — either a show that was available during registration or a show that was announced after registration closed.

If you were selected for a show available during registration, your code will enable you to shop  that  show  or any show in the same city  that was announced after registration closed. (You will not be able to shop a different show that was available during registration).

If you were selected for a show announced after registration closed — i.e., the link in your text directs you to one of those shows — your code is good for that show. We recommend you use the code for that show as it will have the greatest availability for you. If you choose, you can use your code instead for the show you prioritized first during registration; however, we expect demand for that show to be higher and your wait to be longer.

Remember, each code only allows you to purchase 6 tickets.

Taylor Swift fans swarm Soldier Field for 1st Eras Tour performance in Chicago

WLS logo

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The first of three sold-out Taylor Swift concerts was held at Soldier Field Friday night, part of a three-show stop on her Eras Tour.

"Since like two in the morning. Why? Because we wanted to be first," said Shona and Lorna Garcia, who lined up in the wee early morning hours.

Big crowds are expected all weekend long for one of the most-anticipated musical events of 2023. About 55,000 people are expected to attend each night.

Lynn is choosing to be a bit incognito on Friday night because, she said, her dad doesn't know she scored a ticket last night.

"I'm wearing a 'Red' outfit that she actually wore in her concert," Lynn said. "Dad, I love you. Please don't kill me. This was a graduation present."

Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' at Soldier Field: What you need to know before you go

One mother-daughter duo from Arizona has been bonding over Taylor Swift and her inspirational music for years.

"I was with her for reputation so it's really, to me, it's special part of life," said Nicole and Karley Sweer. "I've loved Taylor Swift for as long as I can remember, and this is like, the first musical artist I kind of loved."

The concrete walls of the football stadium were no match for the sound of excitement in the air, especially at the very moment Swift took the stage.

"I'm just so excited to be around everyone else. This has just been years in the making," said Kristina Johnson.

In fact, it's been nearly five years since Swift toured.

The excitement surrounding the shows really began on Thursday, as even more Swifties were lined up to buy merchandise ahead of this weekend. Most are after a coveted crewneck fans say are only sold at her concerts.

"It's because a lot of it is not going to be online and I feel like the blue crewneck everybody's going crazy for," said Angelica Tenuta and Emily Kriska, who live in Kenosha.

ABC7 spoke with people who had been camped out since 2 a.m. and don't even have tickets.

"I did not get tickets yet, it's actually very sad. If I can't get tickets, I'm going to get merch, because the tickets, right now, are really expensive, so I'm like, I'll just get merch instead," said Miroslav Uzelac, who lives in Skokie. "I love Taylor Swift. Laughs. I think I have a bit too much of her obsession with her."

They're hoping for some T-Swift luck to snag some.

"I just need two tickets. So, if someone has extra tickets, let me know, please," said Kedzie O'Malley, who lives in Orland Park.

If you're lucky enough to have tickets, there will be shuttle buses from the Millennium Park Garage. People can also get dropped off at the 18th Drive turn-around, just west of DuSable Lakeshore Drive.

Pick-ups will be along Columbus Drive between Balbo and Roosevelt. Parking passes are already sold out.

"We are going to be in the nosebleeds, but it's OK, wherever we are. It's worth it. It is it's so worth it," said Aubrey Tabler and Jslyn Peck, who are from Mishawaka.

The parking lots opened up at 2 p.m. to concertgoers. Gates opened at 4:30 p.m.

"I'm so excited to scream all the songs. And all the chants, we learned all of the chants," said Lucianna Cardamone and Brooklynn Jack, who live in Norridge. "We finally got tickets last-minute, so we're excited."

The merch tents opened at noon.

The Friday and Saturday concerts start at 6:30 p.m. with openers Owenn and Girl in Red. Taylor is expected to go on at 8.

The Sunday show starts at the same time with openers MUNA and Gracie Abrams. Swift will come on stage around 8 p.m. and play a three-hour set.

Here’s How to Get Taylor Swift Tickets to the 2023-24 Eras Tour Dates (Even if They’ve Sold Out)

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission.

Taylor Swift delighted fans when she released her new album Midnights and announced a new tour last year, but Swifties weren’t feeling happy right after, as overwhelming demand for Swift tickets caused Ticketmaster to cancel its public on-sale and prices to soar.

While Ticketmaster was the official selling partner for Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets , thousands of fans were previously left out of luck before the verified presale by Ticketmaster even ended. Fans had to sign up for the presale and be “invited” for a chance to buy tickets . And while the intention was good — no competing with bots for the best seats — few people actually got the chance to place an order.

And while Swift’s run of U.S. dates initially were scheduled to wrap up in Los Angeles, just as August started to already slip away, the star announced that the Eras Tour would make a comeback next fall and wintertime in 2024, with a slew of North American dates scheduled in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis, before heading to Toronto for six dates at the Rogers Centre.

“Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era 😝 Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams!” Swift shared in a post on social media August 3.

Swifties who want to score Eras Tour tickets for the newly announced stops had to register using Ticketmaster ‘s Verified Fan registration , which closed on Sunday, Aug. 5 at 5 p.m. ET. Now, Ticketmaster’s Verified Onsale for Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis tickets have also since closed. If you didn’t get lucky enough to buy Taylor Swift tickets this round, here’s where else you might find stubs if they sell out.

Where to Buy Taylor Swift Tickets Online

Your best bet to find Swift tickets online now is likely to go through a reseller if you don’t get them through Ticketmaster ‘s Verified Fan registration and Verified Fan Onsale, with many of them offering discounts or promo codes that you can use for Taylor tix.

Our suggestion: Do a little price comparison between the sites to find the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets online, and check back closer to the concert date in case ticket holders are trying to unload their seats — that’s when you’ll likely get the cheapest tickets online.

1. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on StubHub

Taylor Swift tickets on StubHub previously started at around $300 for upper-level seats. While there isn’t an active StubHub promo online right now, the site does have one of the best policies in case Swift has to cancel one of her shows. If an event is canceled, the site will give you a StubHub credit for 120% of the amount you paid.

2. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on Vivid Seats

Tickets on VividSeats.com currently run between $430 and $550 for 500-level seats for Swift’s last few dates in Los Angeles, with cheaper tickets available for dates outside of the U.S. Use our exclusive  Rolling Stone  promo code  RS2023  at checkout to save $20 off your $200+ order through the mobile app. Vivid Seats also has a rewards program that lets you buy 10 tickets and get the 11th ticket free.

3. Find Taylor Swift Tickets on TicketNetwork

You might not be able to find Taylor Swift tickets on Ticketmaster, but we spotted great seats available on TicketNetwork.com . The resale site has seats from $511 online , which is not cheap but still one of the lowest prices we’re seeing for concourse-level tickets for Taylor Swift ( regular seats start in the $1,500 price point for some L.A. dates ). TicketNetwork also works with Affirm, so you can buy your tickets now and pay over time. Want a Taylor Swift discount code? You can use TicketNetwork ‘s promo code TNTIX saves you $10 off your order.

Find Taylor Swift Tickets on SeatGeek

We spotted many Taylor Swift tickets on SeatGeek as of this writing, and the site is usually a solid bet for resale tickets to popular concerts and events. It’s worth checking future dates if your city sells out. Use the SeatGeek promo code TAKE5 to get $5 off your ticket purchase. It’s not a huge discount but still a chance to get save on Taylor tix.

SeatGeek will also often offer other promo codes, if you’re looking for discounted Taylor Swift tickets, so we recommend keeping an eye out on their site.

(Note: All of these promo codes were live and verified at time of this article’s publishing.)

What Stage Setup Can You Expect at the Eras Tour?

If you’re stumped on which tickets to get, checking out the stage layout is pretty helpful, and super easy to find while you’re purchasing tickets. While each stage layout may differ slightly depending on the stadium, it looks like all will have a main stage, a walkway leading to a diamond-shaped smaller stage, and finally, a ramp leading to a rectangular mini-stage (see below for an example). Obviously, Eras Tour tickets surrounding the main stage will be the priciest but you might find some decent prices next to the secondary stages.

How to buy Taylor Swift tickets: Eras Tour dates and prices compared

When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more

Taylor Swift's reign continues as she ramps up for the next leg of The Eras Tour. The singer-songwriter will kick off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her recent Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift will release her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, but it's unknown if any of those songs will make their way to the tour setlist.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options . You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift international tour dates

The Eras Tour international dates resume on May 9 in Paris. The European tour will run until August 20 in London. UK prices are listed in pounds, and start times vary from city to city. US dates start in October and can be found under the following table.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

StubHub's cheapest European tickets range from $392 (Madrid, Spain, on May 29) to ÂŁ978 (London, United Kingdom, on June 22). The latter is around $1,248 in USD. The lowest prices for most shows are around $450 to $1,000. On Vivid Seats , the cheapest tickets for these dates go for $549 and $683, respectively.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,045 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 8) to $2,081 (Miami, Florida, on October 19). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,200 and $1,800. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,133 and $2,212, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore will open for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations. It's unknown whether Swift will end up adding even more tour dates, but by the end of the upcoming US leg she will have been touring for almost two years, so fans shouldn't be surprised if she takes a break.

Where can I stream The Eras Tour concert film?

If you'd rather watch The Eras Tour from home, you could always stream it on Disney+. Check out everything you need to know about streaming The Eras Tour concert film in our guide .

Note: Certain services and regions prohibit the resale of tickets. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal reselling of tickets, and entry into an event is at the venue's discretion.

Taylor Swift sings while seated onstage.

This weekend, the Windy City becomes the Swiftie City.

Starting Friday, June 2 and running until Sunday, June 4, Chicago’s Soldier Field will host Taylor Swift’s ongoing ‘Eras Tour’ and fans that waited to scoop up last-minute tickets are having their patience rewarded.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we found on Swift tix was $691 before fees on Vivid Seats.

While that may seem like a hefty price tag, it’s virtually nothing compared to earlier in the week.

As of Tuesday, May 30 , ticket prices for the Taylor’s three-night residency started at a whopping $1297 before fees.

Therefore, if you held out until the first night of the ‘Eras Tour,’ you may have just saved over $600 .

Think of it this way — you can score quite a few goodies at the merch table with those savings.

Sometimes “all of this silence and patience, pining in anticipation” as Taylor sings in the “Reputation” classic “Dress” really does pay off.

Want to find out more about the three-day Swift extravaganza going down in the Second City this weekend?

Here’s everything you need to know and more.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Taylor Swift Soldier Field schedule

A complete breakdown of what ticket prices are now versus what they cost on Tuesday, May 30 for each of Taylor’s three Chicago concerts can be found below.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Taylor Swift 2023 ‘Eras Tour’ schedule

If ticket prices to see Taylor in Chicago don’t make sense for your budget, it might be in your best interest to catch the ‘Eras Tour’ at a later date.

After this three-show weekend, Swift has 21 North American concerts remaining on her schedule after this weekend.

You can find a complete calendar of all remaining ‘Eras Tour’ dates here .

Plus, as an added bonus, we a)  broke down all the best prices  for each upcoming show, b)  shared some helpful tips from a Swiftie who made it out to to see Taylor on the first weekend of the tour and c) came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift opening acts

This Chi-City weekend, Taylor is bringing Girl In Red, OWENN, Gracie Abrams and MUNA with her on select dates of the three-night residency.

Here’s what you need to know about the established openers.

Girl In Red  is the moniker for Marie Ulven Ringheim, a Norwegian-born singer-songwriter. Ringheim, who often records her indie pop in her own bedroom covers heavy topics like romance and mental health in her lyrics. It should be noted that you may also know Girl In Red by her Soundcloud handle, “Lydia X.”

OWENN , a powerful R&B singer, is the only male opening act on the “Eras Tour.” It’s possible that you may recognize him from Swift’s music video  “Lover”  where he played the romantic lead opposite Taylor. Haven’t heard his stuff? You’ll want to check out the catchy single  “Baby Girl,”  which will get you moving and grooving in no time.

Gracie Abrams , the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, is a star in her own right. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” has upwards of 100 million streams on Spotify, she opened for Olivia Rodrigo on the 2022 “Sour Tour” and headlined her own tour this spring as well.

MUNA  is the brainchild of of Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and Naomi McPherson. At this point in their career, the trio has put out three albums, opened for Kacey Musgraves on her 2022 tour and had their cover of Britney Spears’ “Sometimes” featured in the film “Fire Island.”

Huge stars on tour in 2023

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (possibly more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

Will it be the greatest concert film ever made? Taylor Swift’s movie made from her record-breaking Eras Tour that enchanted fans worldwide will likely break records of its own this weekend.

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” opens in theaters Thursday in the U.S. and Canada for early-access showings, moved up from its expected release on Friday — a surprise Swift announced before the movie’s world premiere Wednesday night in Los Angeles. It’ll open in 90 other countries Friday.

For fans planning to catch a screening in the Chicago area, we’ve compiled a list of what to know, how to score tickets, what’s included in the movie, rules for singing and dancing and more.

What is the ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ movie?

The Eras Tour is Swift’s ongoing concert tour that’s selling out stadiums across the country and internationally. It features music from the star’s 10 studio albums (or all her “eras”), from pop ballads to country twang. Thousands of people flocked to Soldier Field for Swift’s three-night stop in Chicago in June.

The concert film, directed by Sam Wrench, was recorded in August during the first three nights of her six-show run at SoFi Stadium in California. One of the most-anticipated parts of Swift’s concerts are the surprise songs. She performed nine during the three days of filming — “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” “Our Song,” “You Are in Love,” “I Can See You” and “Maroon” — meaning they have a chance of making the movie.

The movie is rated PG-13 for “some strong language and suggestive material” and has a runtime of 2 hours and 48 minutes, about half an hour shorter than the actual concert. Fans know what to expect.

“As Taylor, mother, instructed us to do: dance, trade friendship bracelets and be very excited. We’re just as excited as if this was going to be another concert,” said Jake Peterson, a 38-year-old Lincoln Park resident and self-proclaimed Swiftie.

Where can I watch the movie in the Chicago area?

Seemingly at every local theater. At tstheerastourfilm.com , you can enter your address to find venues near you.

Prominent Chicago destinations such as AMC River East, Chicago ShowPlace Icon, Davis Theater, Regal City North and more will have dozens of showings, but only on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Currently, AMC, Alamo Drafthouse and Cinemark have tickets on sale through Nov. 5. The screenings begin Thursday at 6 p.m.

At Classic Cinemas’ 16 theaters located primarily in the Chicago suburbs, CEO Chris Johnson said they’re expecting an “extremely successful weekend,” noting that they’ve already sold about 10,000 tickets.

“That’s huge,” Johnson said. “It’s like $175,000 in sales. It’s not to the ‘Avengers’ area, but as far as a movie that’s being released in mid-October, it’s big.”

“There’s certainly an audience that either couldn’t get tickets to the concert and or went to the concert and want to relive that experience,” Johnson added.

There’s been no word yet on any possible release on streaming services.

How do I buy tickets?

At tstheerastourfilm.com , or through your local theater. Most tickets have been available to purchase for weeks, but tickets for the surprise early access showing went on sale 10 a.m. Thursday.

Tickets cost $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for seniors and children, a nod to one of Swift’s albums and lucky number, respectively.

While tickets for opening night might be sparse at some locations, Johnson said one of the biggest misconceptions about the movie is that tickets are hard to come by. Additional showtimes were added Friday and throughout this weekend “due to unprecedented demand,” with Swift saying “look what you genuinely made me do.”

“There are definitely seats available at every location because we’ve monitored the number of ticket sales and added shows when needed,” Johnson said. “Even if you were sold out, there’s the next show. There’s quite a few shows.”

Many theaters will also have tour-themed popcorn buckets and fountain drink cups on sale for souvenirs.

What should I wear?

Friendship bracelets are always in style . During the tour, making and trading handmade friendship bracelets adorned with Swift’s lyrics became a popular pastime that some are planning to carry into theaters. It’s even how NFL player Travis Kelce reportedly caught Swift’s attention.

Swift herself encouraged Eras attire and friendship bracelets, and AMC’s website says dressing in costume is “strongly encouraged.”

Peterson and his family are coming prepared when they see the movie on Friday. He said his niece is wearing a sparkly dress and boots to emulate the “Fearless” era, and his costume is inspired by the song “ 22 ? with a list of the four locations Peterson saw the concert on a sparkly shirt. He’s traveled to Mexico City, Las Vegas, Denver and Seattle to watch Swift perform.

Can I sing and dance at the shows?

Dancing and singing during the film is encouraged at AMC, according to their website . They just ask that moviegoers don’t dance on the seats or block others from viewing, safely walking or exiting the auditorium.

At Classic Cinemas, Johnson said he’s got no problem with “people coming out and having a good time.”

Will the movie break records?

The film is projected to open to at least $100 million at the domestic box office, with global sales generating even more. It’s already surpassed $100 million in advance ticket sales according to AMC, making it the highest-grossing concert film in history, a record previously held by “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.”

Swift, the producer, circumvented Hollywood studios, making a distribution deal directly with AMC Entertainment to bring the movie to theaters. She reached an interim agreement with SAG-AFTRA to shoot the movie amid the actors’ strike. Beyoncé also made a deal with AMC to distribute her concert documentary, which comes out Dec. 1.

The Eras Tour had a sizable economic and cultural impact across the country, including Chicago, and interest in Swift is still going strong, whether she’s dancing at an awards show or watching a football game.

For fans like Peterson, the success of the movie and tour isn’t surprising. He said there’s no one he’d rather spend his money on. Beyond the fun costumes and friendship bracelets, Peterson said he’s grown up with Swift, and it almost feels like she’s one of his friends who hit it big. Her lyrics, he said, speak across generations.

“Her eras were my eras too,” he said. “My brother, who’s in the Marine Corps and served multiple tours in Iraq, goes ‘this is exactly who I want my daughter to emulate.’ She changes the industry, she is the man .”

A year of the Eras Tour: A look back at Taylor Swift's record-breaking show

chicago eras tour tickets

One year ago, the crowd in Glendale, Arizona, erupted into a massive cheer in State Farm Stadium when Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me" began playing and the backdrop screen transitioned to a countdown clock starting at 2:24.

None of the Swifties who traveled from all over the state of Arizona and the nation, dressed to the nines as one of her 10 eras, knew the tour would be three-plus hours. The fan screaming next to me from Pennsylvania who bought a ticket on StubHub.com for about $400 didn't know that we would go era-by-era through a 44-song track list. I don't think the singer, herself, knew when she hid inside a cleaning cart wheeled backstage, that her show would lead to a billion-dollar enterprise, Time magazine person of the year and an inundation of friendship bracelets. I didn't know the behemoth success following the Eras Tour star would send me packing from Phoenix to Nashville, Tennessee, to become the inaugural Taylor Swift reporter.

Swift's dancers flowed onto the stage through fog with pink, purple and orange parachute flaps. A compilation of songs from Swift's 10 albums — or eras — played as "it's been a long time coming" boomed into the stadium. Goosebumps covered the arms of thousands and tears cascaded down cheeks as the flaps revealed Miss Americana rising to begin her "Lover" set.

Eighty three shows later, here's a look back at the unprecedented tour that set a Guinness World Record . And fair warning, like her tour this article is an extensive rollercoaster.

Swept up in the hype, the world became Taylor Nation. Glendale, "Erazona ," was renamed "Swift City." Las Vegas lit up its arches in all 10 era colors. Arlington, Texas, dubbed one of its streets "Taylor Swift Way." Tampa, Florida, gave Swift a key to the city and invited her to be an honorary mayor. Houston renamed its venue "NRG Stadium (Taylor’s Version)."

Nashville, Tennessee, dedicated a bench in Centennial Park to the hometown singer. A Philadelphia radio station, 96.5 FM (WTDY), renamed itself Ninety-Swift-Five W-T-A-Y. Gov. Philip D. Murphy dubbed the "Taylor Swift ham, egg and cheese sandwich" the "state sandwich of New Jersey." Chicago lit up the top of Willis Tower in her album colors. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey renamed his city "Swiftie-apolis," and Santa Clara, California, Mayor Lisa Gillmor switched the city's name to "Swiftie Clara."

Internationally, fans in Brazil caught the attention of Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes and Father Omar, the rector of the Christ the Redeemer Sanctuary, who arranged to project a  "Junior Jewels" inspired T-shirt  onto the Christ the Redeemer statue. Flinders Station in Melbourne , Australia, flashed a wallpaper glaze of lights to welcome the Eras star. Singapore painted the Marina Bay Sands Resort all colors of vibrant lights.

It's a cruel summer with you

All four seasons met the fifteen dancers, four backup singers, six bandmates and hundreds of production and crew members, adding unpredictable weather to the mix. Mother Nature danced in a lightning storm to "Fearless" in Tampa and made the song "Midnight Rain" a reality in Nashville . Rain poured through the open-roofed stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where Swift pushed puddles forming on her piano . The Swiftie fandom created its own natural phenomenon in Seattle after a seismologist registered a 2.3 magnitude earthquake on her Richter scale.

The intense heat in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, caused Swift to throw water bottles to fans and temporarily halt her show. Ana Clara Benevides Machado, 23, passed out and died of heat exhaustion. The heartbreaking news prompted changes at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos to allow fans access to water. Swift invited Benevides' family to her concert in São Paulo.

I want you to think of the memories made

Swift incorporated custom messages into each tour stop. At her international destinations, she welcomed fans in their custom languages. "Bienvenidos al Eras Tour," she said in Mexico City before hoisting her hands in the air. While donning either her pink or blue guitar before the title track of "Lover," she commonly announced the stadium attendance often record-breaking.

Outside of stadiums, thousands "Taylorgated," or showed up without a ticket to hear Swift's beats and dance on the concrete. Tens of thousands more logged on to watch livestreams from fans with tickets who agreed to spend concert time holding up their mobile devices in a tricep-burning position.

The number of viewers would jump before the "Champagne Problems" speech and acoustic set. To keep things fun and interesting each night, fans filled out "Swiftball" ballots guessing the singer's outfits from four "Lover" bodysuits and accompanying "The Man" jackets, three "Fearless" dresses, two "Evermore" dresses, six "Speak Now" gowns, three bedazzled "22" shirts, five "Folkore" dresses, four "1989" crop top and skirt combos, six "Midnights" T-shirt dresses, three "Midnight Rain" body suits and four "Karma" faux fur jackets. To see how many times the Eras star wore each outfit, check out the "Data Swiftie."

For fans who wanted to get alerts to watch the shows without having to calculate time changes, Swift Alert became the app for that .

Double clap, audience chants

A secret language formed between fans and Swift as new traditions popped up along the tour. The four lines fans screamed at the top of their lungs, no matter the city or country, were "cause shade never made anybody less gay" in "You Need To Calm Down," "what a shame she's f----d in the head" in "Champagne Problems," "f--- the patriarchy" in "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" and "don't call me kid, don't call me baby" in "Illicit Affairs."

Swift started every show strong with a very important question: Did her fans know the bridge to "Cruel Summer?" "Prove it!" she'd yell at some stops and the audience would, every single time, bellow, "I'm drunk in the back of the car." For "The Archer," fans printed and dispersed signs that read, "We will stay," to hold up when Swift asks, "Who would stay?"

In the "Fearless" era, fans double clapped with "13" drawn on the back of their hands in the middle of the bridge to "You Belong With Me." A trend of marriage proposals during "Love Story" picked up during the 2024 leg with partners popping the question as Swift sang, "He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring."

During "Marjorie," Swifties turned their phone flashlights on in tribute to Swift's grandma. Fans started timing the standing ovation and ear-shattering applause after "Champagne Problems." Livestreamers, like Tess Bohne , would display a clock and fans guessed if the cheers would surpass one, two or three minutes.

A snake shape slithered through the light-up braceklets handed out before the show at the start of the "Reputation" era. Fans yelled "1, 2, 3, let's go b----" before the first verse of "Delicate" as Swift counts on her fingers. Later in the song, Swift sings, "Do the girls back home touch you like I do?" and fans reply, "No, they don't." On rare occasion, Swift would let out a three-note riff during her "Don't Blame Me" belt.

After rereleasing her third album, the "Speak Now" singer added "Long Live" to the set list, bringing the total to 45 tracks. In the first verse when she croons "the crowds and stands went wild," the crowd indeed went wild.

In the "Red" era, Swift crowned a deserving fan with a black fedora during "22." They were typically children, but one adult Swiftie was crowned in Melbourne . Dancer Kameron Saunders had the only speaking line on the tour besides Swift during her song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." He said "like ever" at the American shows, but when the tour went international, he switched up the phrase each night. And yes, we track that. Swift knew all too well each crowd had "10 minutes to spare," and she played her longest song, in total, for about 14 hours.

She was only tied to the "Invisible String" for five shows and traded the opening "Folklore" era number to "The 1" in Arlington, before news of her split from actor Joe Alwyn . She brought "Invisible String" back for one night in Nashville because the Tennessee capital is home to Centennial Park. Nashvillians also noticed that Swift switched a note during "The 1" lyric "you meet a woman on the internet and take her home." She kept the key change for every succeeding show.

Right before the first lyric of "Style" during the "1989" set, fans began a tradition of saying, "What time is it?" to which the singer replied, "Midnight, you come and pick me up." In Sydney, Australia, a "Blank Space" chant from the 1989 World Tour was reborn and repeated in Singapore. Taylor Nation, Swift's marketing team, tweeted that it hopes fans at every tour stop going forward shout their city. In Philadelphia, a "Bad Blood" remix originated when Swift noticed a security guard hassling a fan . "She's fine. She wasn't doing anything. Hey! Stop! Hey, stop!" became the cool thing to say after, "It's so sad to think about the good times, you and I." Fans also incorporated a Kendrick Lamar line from the "Bad Blood" remix: "You forgive, you forget, but you never let it go."

And then came the surprise set . (More on her collaborators and announcements below.) Each night, Swift performed one song on the guitar and one on the piano that she hadn't yet performed on the tour. That is until 2024, when she added mashups and threw out her rule of never repeating songs. At the end of the set, she swan dives into a hole in the stage. Fans later caught a red light that turned green to signal it was safe to jump.

After meeting her at "Midnights," fans sang Jack Antonoff's version of "Anti-Hero." When Swift sings "tale as old as time," the crowd chimes in, "Taylor, you'll be fine." Tyler Conroy made a viral video of him screaming , "Where you going Taylor?" during "Bejeweled" before she sings, "I'm going out tonight," and the trend caught on like a blaze ripping through the Lover house. Finally, after Swift changed the lyrics to, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs," in Argentina with her boyfriend Travis Kelce in the crowd, that became the standard for fans. She has only sang it that way four times, when he was in attendance in Buenos Aires, Sydney and Singapore.

If you would direct your attention to the back screen

In addition to boosting economies everywhere she went, Swift created an abundance of news. She announced "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" in Nashville. She announced a new version of "Midnights" and premiered the "Karma (Remix)" music video featuring Ice Spice as the upstart rapper joined Swift in East Rutherford, New Jersey. She released "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" right before her Kansas City, Missouri, stop and then debuted the "I Can See You" music video starring Taylor Lautner and Joey King who were at the show. Lautner backflipped on the catwalk.

It might have seemed strange that Swift ended the American leg of her tour on a Wednesday in Los Angeles, but not to the eagle-eyed Swiftie who realized the date was 8/9. That's the day she announced the rerecording of her fifth album, "1989 (Taylor's Version)." The album came out during her break before her Argentina tour dates. It topped the Billboard charts and allowed her to bypass Elvis for the most weeks with an album at No. 1.

Then, she announced her 11th album, "The Tortured Poets Department," at the Grammys after winning her 13th career award. At her tour stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, she revealed there were four total versions of "Tortured Poets" and told fans they would get a different bonus track on each one : "The Manuscript," "The Bolter," "The Albatross" and "The Black Dog."

Welcome to the acoustic set

One of the most anticipated portions of an Eras Tour show is the acoustic set. At most of the concerts, she only spoke before the guitar song. In rare instances, she tested the microphone before the piano song and made an announcement.

Occasionally she invited collaborators to join her onstage. Marcus Mumford surprised fans in Las Vegas to play "Cowboy Like Me." Her co-producer and close friend Aaron Dessner from The National joined her six times on stage, in Tampa (twice), Nashville, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Santa Clara. Jack Antonoff came out to play "Getaway Car" in New Jersey. Maren Morris did a "You All Over Me" duet in Chicago. When their opening acts were canceled for weather, Gracie Abrams performed "I Miss You, I'm Sorry" and Sabrina Carpenter sang a dyad mashup of "White Horse" and "Coney Island."

Some of the surprise songs came with hidden messages. Fans speculated she sang "Bigger Than The Whole Sky" as an ode to a fan who died , "End Game" to Travis Kelce watching her show from the VIP tent and "Gold Rush" as a congratulations to Jason Kelce for retiring. She has performed "You're On Your Own Kid" five times, in Tampa, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Tokyo and Singapore.

And he never thinks of me, except when I'm on TV

To close out the first year of the Eras Tour, Swift released the third film version of her concert to streaming service Disney+. This version included "Cardigan" and four acoustic songs: "Maroon," "Death By A Thousand Cuts," "You Are In Love" and "I Can See You."

The second version came out on Swift's birthday, Dec. 13. Fans could rent it for 48 hours at a price of $19.89, and it included "The Archer," "Wildest Dreams" and "Long Live" cut from the original movie.

The original movie was released Oct. 13, in the middle of the Hollywood strikes. Swift did what studios and streaming services were unable to: make a deal with SAG-AFTRA. She worked with the unions and was able to market and show her movie how she saw fit. The film made more than $250 million globally and got her nominated for a Golden Globe award .

If you're still with me on this walk down Eras Tour Lane, it's important to make one final note before the tour resumes in Paris in May. Before her magnum opus took off higher than the "Bad Blood" flames, Swift chose "Mirrorball" and "Tim McGraw" to be her very first surprise songs. She ended year one with the same two songs, but flipped the instruments she played them on in a full-circle moment.

Her new album will come out April 19 and the full Eras Tour is streaming on Disney+, which begs the question: What her show will look like come Paris? She has a two-month break before 69 shows scheduled for Europe and North America. She also has two rerecords left to release: "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" and her self-titled debut album.

If there's one thing any Swiftie knows, it's Taylor Swift's ability to make news and create lasting memories through her record-shattering tour. What a first year; on to year two!

How to win Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ tickets at Soldier Field in Chicago for only $30

If you are hoping to snag tickets to see Taylor Swift at Soldier Field in Chicago this June you might need to get a second job because tickets to the sold-out shows are, as of this writing, starting at over $700 on the secondary ticket market.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that the team here at Culturess has found a really cool opportunity for two lucky fans to potentially win tickets for as low as $30
and all while supporting a good cause. Just don’t tell your friends about this because the really great thing about this opportunity is that not a lot of people know about it so we are hoping a Culturess reader will be the one to win the tickets!

How to win Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets for $30

Our Culturess sleuths have discovered a little-known raffle that is happening in Chicago on April 30, 2023. There is a non-profit theater company in Chicago called Remy Bumppo. As a non-profit. Remy Bumppo has an annual benefit to raise money to pay for its upcoming work. Tickets to get into this benefit start at $125 for folks under 40 and go all the way up to $4,000 for a “Platinum Table.” The benefit is attended by generous donors who help this great Chicago theater do incredible work.

Our Culturess insiders have found out that at this benefit, Remy Bumppo will be raffling off two tickets to the June 3 Taylor Swift show at Soldier Field! Best of all, raffle tickets are available online and the winner does not need to be present at the benefit! Raffle tickets start at only $30!

Since the benefit costs money to attend, the crowd is relatively small. That means, as opposed to other Taylor Swift ticket raffles and contests being held at radio stations and places like that, the competition for this raffle will be much smaller! There appears to be no limit to the number of tickets you can buy and they even have a special deal with a book of five tickets only costing $125. That is just $25 per raffle ticket! This is definitely worth a shot and even if you don’t win the raffle, at least your money is going to support art and a non-profit company instead of a greedy ticket company.

We are providing more info on Taylor’s tour and the show at Soldier Field below.

Ticket Prices

'Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour': Movie tickets, where it's showing in Milwaukee, and more

chicago eras tour tickets

Who rules the world? This month, it's Taylor Swift.

"Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" comes to movie theaters everywhere on earth Oct. 13 — and the movie is drawing a lot of interest, and a lot of ticket sales .

In a year that has already had a few "event"-type movie releases — especially "Barbie," which grassroots passion and audience connection made 2023's top-grossing movie — the Swift movie is generating similar vibes.

“I’m looking forward to that joyful energy," said Cara Ogburn, artistic director of Milwaukee Film. The nonprofit organization owns the Oriental Theatre, which is showing "The Eras Tour" on two of its three screens this weekend. "‘Barbie’ was sort of that same way. It seems like people were just so happy to be there, be together and have an experience together.”

According to AMC Theatres, which is distributing the movie, more than $100 million in advance tickets had been sold worldwide for the "Eras Tour" concert movie's first weekend, Variety reported last week . That already makes it one of 2023's highest-grossing movies.

Here's what you should know about "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" just days before its arrival.

Where can you see the Taylor Swift concert movie in the Milwaukee area?

"Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" is showing in the Milwaukee area at AMC Mayfair Mall, ACX Cinema at Bayshore, Silverspot Cinema in Brookfield, the Oriental Theatre, and all eight local Marcus Theatres: Bistroplex Southridge, Hillside, Majestic, Menomonee Falls, Movie Tavern Brookfield Square, North Shore, Ridge and South Shore cinemas.

Most are showing the movie on more than one screen, with multiple showtimes daily.

Can you still get tickets to 'Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour' in the Milwaukee area?

The short answer is yes. With the movie playing at 12 of the Milwaukee area's 13 first-run movie theaters — and on multiple screens in most of them — there are seats aplenty for opening weekend.

But it's complicated.

In the Milwaukee area, and likely elsewhere, ticket sales for "The Eras Tour" had been heaviest on Friday the 13th — for the uninitiated, 13 is Swift's favorite number.

As the distributor for the show, AMC Theatres, including AMC Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, got a few days' head start selling tickets. As of Wednesday, all 10 of AMC Mayfair's Oct. 13 screenings were listed "almost full" on AMC's ticket website; seven of the eight screenings at the next nearest AMC theater, in Johnson Creek, were completely sold out that night.

REVIEW: Taylor Swift 'Eras' concert film is a thrilling revisit of her live spectacle

At Marcus Theatres, many Friday-night screenings were nearly sold out; the few remaining seats at the chain's Milwaukee-area theaters for screenings before 8 p.m. were in the front rows. A Marcus spokeswoman said the company has been adding showtimes to keep up with demand.

Similarly, at ACX Cinema at Bayshore in Glendale, the theater's 6 p.m. screening on Oct. 13 was nearly sold out, as of Wednesday.

But Swift and Company threw a wrench into all this on Wednesday night. She announced online that, because of all the opening-night demand, they were adding screenings on Thursday night, Oct. 12, as well as more screenings on the original opening night. Many theaters allow advance-sale ticket cancellations within an hour or less of showtime, so some fans might opt to swap their Friday tickets for the new "opening" night on Thursday.

So: If you still haven't bought tickets but want to see it the first couple of days, check the theater websites again to see what's available.

On the other hand, if you can wait until after opening night — whether that's Thursday or Friday — tickets are readily available at all of the Milwaukee-area theaters showing "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" on both Saturday and Sunday.

Is the Taylor Swift concert movie only showing this weekend?

"Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" is not your typical movie release. It's only showing on weekends — after this weekend, it's booked in many participating theaters from Thursday through Sunday for the following three weekends.

The unusual release pattern poses some challenges for movie theaters, which have to find other fare to fill slots on the days when Swift's movie isn't playing.

So if you can't get to theaters this weekend, you'll have to wait a few days.

How much are tickets for 'Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour'?

How much power does Taylor Swift have in the entertainment-industry ecosystem? She's even charging her own ticket prices for her concert movie.

Not counting fees and other theater add-ons, ticket prices are $19.89 — echoing Swift's birth year, and the title of one of her biggest albums — and $13.13, reflecting her favorite number.

Advance tickets are available at theater websites and at the box office.

Will there be anything special in theaters for opening weekend of the Taylor Swift concert movie?

On opening night, participating Marcus Theatres will have a friendship bracelet-making station (it's a Taylor thing), will be handing out official mini-posters (while supplies last), and will have Swift-themed cocktails and official Swift popcorn tubs and cups.

But the biggest special effect at opening-weekend screenings of "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" will likely be Swift's fans. If the attendees at this summer's concerts are any indication, the audience will bring as much energy to the experience as what is on screen .

While theaters often ask audiences to keep silent during the movie, "The Eras Tour," like the concert tour it's documenting, is certain to elicit much joyful noise from moviegoers. The Oriental is "very welcoming" for the anticipated singalongs at each screening, Ogburn said.

“That energy seems to be something we all are leaning into,” she said. “It feels a lot like a film festival, so it’s something we’re very familiar with.”

Taylor Swift: How you can still get your hands on resale tickets for the 2024 Eras Tour

The countdown is on until Taylor Swift's Eras Tour and if you are one of the many thousands who had no luck getting your tickets last year, there are ways to see her take to the stage

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour

  • 11:09, 4 Apr 2024
  • Updated 14:09, 5 Apr 2024

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm and the superstar is returning to the UK in a matter of months - but for many it will be a Cruel Summer with tickets very hard to come by.

While many fans got lucky and managed to snap up theirs when they first went on sale in 2023, thousands and thousands failed - but there's still a chance to see what will be an amazing show. We all know getting your hands on tickets has been a challenge for Swifties as they sold out almost as soon as they became available.

She is playing Wembley Stadium in London as well as dates in Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff. You can keep an eye on Ticketmaster and AXS for official tickets and any resale tickets are likely to be bought very quickly. You could also look at resale ticket websites and Viagogo and VividSeats are selling tour tickets. Right now, the cheapest ticket on Viagogo is ÂŁ310.

A spokesperson for Viagogo, a ticket resale marketplace, said: "The European leg of Taylor Swift's Eras tour has been long anticipated. We've not seen anything like this since The Beatles and with tickets having only just gone on sale, demand is at its peak right now.

"Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee. Sellers on our marketplace may list tickets at high values when demand is high, but prices can change and tend to reduce over time. We recommend Swifties wait for demand to settle and check regularly for a listing that meets their budget. Tickets for Taylor Swift's UK dates have already sold for as low as 172 GBP on our platform. Also, tickets listed at eye-catchingly high levels rarely, if ever, sell."

AXS, another approved ticket seller, warns: "The only way to obtain a valid ticket for Taylor Swift's shows is via an official agent. Any tickets found to be purchased via an unauthorised reseller will not be valid for entry into the concerts and will be cancelled in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale."

"Through official resale facilities, ticket resale prices are capped to help combat the inflation of ticket prices and put a stop to ticket touting. For more information on official resale facilities, fans should visit the website of their approved ticket agent," they added in a statement.

Taylor Swift Dublin: How to get resale tickets for The Eras Tour in Aviva Stadium

The world has been gripped by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and the show will finally make its way to Ireland this summer.

The superstar is set to perform sold-out concerts in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 28, 29 and 30.

Thousands of people tried to get their hands on tickets when they went on sale last year, and while some got lucky, there were plenty of other disappointed fans who missed out.

All hope is not lost though, as there is still a chance to see the impressive performance.

Fans who can’t attend may resell their tickets before the All Too Well hitmaker takes to the stage in June. Ticketmaster makes it easy to sell tickets fans can no longer use via its ticket exchange, meaning another fan can go instead.

Resale for The Eras Tour in Dublin has officially been activated. Tickets are likely to sell out almost as soon as they’re released, however fans can keep an eye on Ticketmaster HERE for official resale tickets and they could get lucky.

As it’s likely that Ticketmaster’s resale tickets will be snapped up very quickly, another option to consider is ticket resale websites. Viagogo and VividSeats are selling Eras Tour tickets for the shows across the UK and Europe.

As well as Dublin, the 34-year-old is bringing the concert to UK venues in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London, as well as European venues in Paris, Stockholm, Lisbon, Madrid, Lyon, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna.

Those desperate to see the concert and unable to nab Dublin tickets may consider jetting off to another destination and making a holiday of it.

These sites allow you to browse at your own pace, as tickets put up for sale by fans stay available until they're bought.

At the time of writing, there are tickets available on Viagogo in Cardiff from ÂŁ372 , in Edinburgh from ÂŁ269 , in Liverpool from ÂŁ408 and in London from ÂŁ397 .

When it comes to European venues, there are Warsaw tickets available from ÂŁ338 , tickets for Madrid available from ÂŁ278 , tickets for Amsterdam available from ÂŁ502 and tickets for Lisbon available from ÂŁ398 .

You can check Eras Tour prices for each of the UK and European venues on Viagogo HERE . Many of the venues are hosting several nights of the concert, so it is might be worth checking different dates to get the best value.

A spokesperson from Viagogo previously said tickets for Taylor Swift's UK dates have sold for as low as ÂŁ172.

They told Express.co.uk about people's worries over using resale tickets. They said: "The European leg of Taylor Swift's Eras tour has been long anticipated. We've not seen anything like this since The Beatles and with tickets having only just gone on sale, demand is at its peak right now.

“Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee. Sellers on our marketplace may list tickets at high values when demand is high, but prices can change and tend to reduce over time.
