Safari - Google image search - problem

I have iPhone 12 pro and the newest update of Safari. There is a problem that always accours when I Google for images on Google.com - image search in Safari. Every time I scroll down to see more images the page «jumps» back almost to the top. This happens several times during one search. My boyfriend also has the same problem with his iPhone 12 pro Max.

• Safari every time I search anything using Chrome or open literally any app on my iPhone 12 pro, a safari window opens as well. it’s really annoying especially since I’m not using the app/Safari. Then I have to close an extra window which I know doesn’t sound like a big deal but it’s just annoying. It didn’t used to do this and I don’t understand why it started doing it. Can't enlarge photos in google images Safari

Until yesterday, I was able to tap on a picture on google images to view the picture in large. For example when you search "Apple" on google images you get many photos of it, and if you want to view one of them in large you just simply tap it. But the problem is that since yesterday I suddenly can't do this! When I search anything on google images and get a lot of photos of it and then want to view it larger, it won't open. If I want to view the photo in large I have to do a hard long press and then it'll open. How to fix it? *i tried looking up photos on different Search Engine (Yahoo) and there It's all working good and I can view the image in large when i tap on it but I don't want use it, I wanna use Google.. My iOS is 10.0 and my Safari version is 10  

I just tried And did not have any problems. I’m on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 12.4.

Google Images Won't Load In Safari

Since you can't see images, go to Safari > Preferences > Appearance and make sure "Display images when the page opens" is checked.  

Yep - afraid to say this is checked already. If it wasn't, would this mean no images would load at all? I only find problems with google images. When I search google for a website, I click the link in the search results, and it loads fine, everything as it should be. However when I go to google, and click images, I just get nothing. I have no idea what is going on?  

Have you tried another browser to see if they load? If they don't load with Firefox or another browser, it's most likely your firewall settings.

Something of interest that I see in that screen shot is the status bar, " 21 errors occurred in opening the page. For more information, choose Window > Activity. " (21 errors, 21 missing images) So, do as it says and maybe it'll give some clues. You can post back if the messages don't make much sense to you.  

Yep, clicked Window > Activity after I did this search for "Daughtry No Suprise." Regardless of what I search for, I get the same message every time.  

Does this occur with a different browser like Firefox? This would tell us if it's a networking issue, or a browser issue. If switching browsers doesn't show images try restarting your router.

Same I have exactly that same problem. And I have Opera and Firefox downloaded, tried it and still the images are not displayed! If somebody knows whats wrong please tell! It's irritating those who don't know what's going on (me). HELP!

Evening all. The same thing is happening to me, and much to my annoyance, the 4.0.4 Safari update and the 10.6.2 update didn't do anything to help. 'Display images when page opens' checked, firewall is turned off. Also doesn't work in the latest Firefox (3.5.5). Gee thanks Snow Leopard.

problem solved It's not a Snow Leopard or a Safari issue. When viewing the Google results page, change your Search Settings. I'm not sure which setting fixes the problem. After changing several settings, the problem disappeared. Then I went and changed all the settings back to what they were, but the problem didn't reappear. Good luck.

Solution i have the problem since 1 year now i found the solution and Safari displays all the images in google or yahoo search... It's about your vpn ip adress (about your location) to change it 1. download the Hotspot Shield from any download sites (it's a free application) 2. run the program it automatically changes your vpn adress (you can also use this program if u have trouble to enter the locked websites) 3.after the running the program you can easily search what ever you want in google images or other search sites..

Hi, have been reading all you posts and playing around to fix this problem. Ended up turning off a firewall setting on my modem. So far everything is now working perfect. Heres the details. Modem: Belkin F5D5730au ISP: Bigpond AUS OSX 10.6.2 enter 10.1.1.1 into browser. Select firewall > Intrusion detection > UN tick SPI and Anti-DoS firewall protection. Hope this works a well for you has it has for me. Cheers. Matt.

still no luck. My parents were using a HP Laptop on the same modem, and have just bought a Sony Vaio....no problems on either machine when using Google Images. I only have this problem at home, the problem did not exist when I took my Macbook into the Apple Store, or when I take my Macbook to my friends house. Any ideas what settings I can change on my modem that might affect it? I can't see any options for "SPI and Anti-DoS firewall protection" like the previous poster said.

Everyone having this problem: Change ''Maximum incomplete TCP/UDP sessions number from same host'' from its default value to 20 (The default value is generally 10) in your routers firewall settings. This should solve the problem.

A software conflict may be the cause ... The problem MAY be caused by a conflict caused by Russel Gray's 'AdBlocker' v. 1.9.8.1. When I updated to version to AdBlocker version 1.9.8.2 the Google Image Search thumbnails immediately returned. I 'Quit' and then 'Restarted' Safari , although I don't know if that step was really necessary - I just automatically did it as a matter of standard procedure. MacOS X 10.6.3 Safari 4.0.5 (6531.22.7) AdBlocker 1.9.8.2 ( http://sweetpproductions.com/safariadblocker )

Got this problem as well... We use a few Macs at work, 10.4.11 (I know, but they don't want the "hassle" of updating...). Anyway, I can't load up most images from most image search sites (eg. google images, bing) no matter what browser I'm using. I can sometimes get google maps, but rarely google images. The work around I use is, if I search for what I need in the standard google, then select "images," I can get my results. Is the router "fix" working? Our tech guys get rather uppity when someone else suggests a technical solution...

Cannot Load Images on Safari... Open Safari. Pull down on 'Develop" located between bookmarks and window up top. See where it says, "Disable Images". Make sure it is unchecked. That should do it. I stumbled upon this after searching for a solution for days!

Step 1: Open the Settings menu and navigate to Screen Time.

Step 2: Tap on ‘Content & Privacy Restrictions’ and disable the toggle on the following screen.

6. Clear Browsing Data

Overwhelming browsing data can also affect Safari’s performance on your iPhone. Here’s how to clear it out so you can start with a fresh slate.

Step 1: Open the Settings menu on your iPhone and navigate to Safari.

Step 2: Tap on the ‘Clear History and Website Data’ option. Then, choose ‘Clear History and Data’ to confirm.

After clearing the browsing data, force-quit the Safari app and reopen it. Following that, it should load images as before.

7. Install iOS Updates

Aside from new features, iOS updates often fix known issues and bugs. That’s why running the most recent version of iOS is always a good idea. If you haven’t installed any iOS updates recently, here’s how to check for pending updates.

Step 1: Open the Settings app and select General.

Step 2: Tap on Software Update to download and install any pending updates. Since iOS updates don’t work over cellular, ensure your iPhone is connected to the Wi-Fi network.

After you apply the above solutions, Safari will start displaying images on your iPhone. There’s no need to reset your iPhone just for that. Alternatively, you may want to change the default browser on your iPhone temporarily.

If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on your Mac

If Safari doesn't load a webpage, stops responding, quits unexpectedly, or otherwise doesn't work as expected, these solutions might help.

These solutions are for issues that can affect Safari on Mac, including issues such as these:

A webpage is blank, doesn't load all of its content, or otherwise doesn't work as expected.

You can't sign in to a webpage, despite using the correct sign-in information.

A webpage asks you to remove or reset cookies.

Safari slows down, stops responding, or quits unexpectedly.

Reload the page

From the menu bar in Safari, choose View > Reload Page. Or press Command-R.

If Safari doesn't reload the page, quit Safari, then try again. If Safari doesn't quit, you can press Option-Command-Esc to force Safari to quit .

If Safari automatically reopens unwanted pages, quit Safari, then press and hold the Shift key while opening Safari. Learn how to control which windows Safari automatically reopens .

Install software updates and restart

Update macOS , which can include updates for Safari. If your Mac didn't restart automatically, choose Apple menu  > Restart. Some important background updates take effect only after restarting.

Check Safari extensions

If you installed any Safari extensions, turn extensions off. From the menu bar in Safari, choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Click Extensions, then deselect each extension to turn it off. Learn more about Safari extensions .

If you find that an extension is causing the issue, make sure that the extension is up to date.

Test with a private window

A website can store cookies, caches, and other data on your Mac, and issues with that data can affect your use of the website. To prevent the website from using that data, view it in a private window: From the menu bar in Safari, choose File > New Private Window, or press Shift-Command-N.

If that works, use the following steps to remove the website's data, including its caches and cookies. The website can then create new data as needed. If it's a website that you sign in to, make sure that you know your sign-in information before continuing.

Choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences), then click Privacy.

Click Manage Website Data.

Select the affected website from the list shown.

Click Remove.

Click Done.

Open the website again in a non-private browser window.

Check Safari settings

The webpage might not be compatible with one or more browser settings, which you can turn on or off as needed. From the menu bar in Safari, choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Then click Websites, Privacy, or Security to access these settings:

Privacy settings . These settings apply to all websites. For example, a website might require that you allow cross-site tracking, show your IP address, or allow cookies.

Security settings . These settings apply to all websites. For example, a website might require that you enable JavaScript.

Websites settings . These settings can be configured for specific websites. For example, a website might require that you allow pop-up windows, allow downloads, allow access to your camera or microphone, or turn off content blockers.

Check iCloud Private Relay

If you subscribe to iCloud+ and are using its Private Relay feature, try reloading the page without Private Relay: From the menu bar in Safari, choose View > Reload and Show IP Address. This menu item appears only when Private Relay is turned on for your network. Learn more about iCloud Private Relay .

Check VPN or other security software

If you installed VPN or other software that monitors or interacts with your network connections, that software could affect your use of the website or the internet. Learn about network issues related to VPN and other software .

Check network settings

Certain network settings, such as custom proxy settings or custom DNS settings , can affect access to content on the internet. Even if you haven't changed these or other network settings yourself, you might have installed software that changed them for you.

To find out whether the issue is with the network settings on your Mac, try viewing the page from a different web browser or different device on the same network. Or reset your network settings by setting up a new network location on your Mac.

If the issue affects other devices and web browsers on the same network, the issue is probably with the website, and you should contact the website developer for help.

If the issue continues to affect only a particular webpage, contact the website developer for help.
