We've been part of Scotland and its culture for generations. This is a chance to learn about the rich heritage of one of the country's most loved brands as well as about the production processes that have taken place at Wellpark from through the centuries up to today. Follow us from the very origins of brewing at Wellpark, to present day support of and passion for Scottish music and football. As well as a rare collection of vintage and retro Tennent's packaging, there's a chance to watch your favourite Tennent's adverts from over the decades and also a shop to buy exclusive Tennent's goodies... And to top it all off, there might even be a cheeky wee taste of Scotland's Favourite at the end of the tour in it for you. Tasty.

Tennent's is a beer with more than a century of history . It's based in Glasgow at the Wellpark Brewery, just a short walk from the Necropolis and the city centre. On this tour you will meet a local guide who will explain how the amber-coloured liquid is distilled and the history of the brand. This brewery tour lasts about an hour and a half and allows you to discover the Wellpark brewery. An expert guide will accompany you inside, explaining anecdotes, curiosities and the brewing process. During the tour you will also see the tools used in the past and, at the end, you can finish the tour with a refreshing pint.

The star product is Tennent's Super , a beer with a market share of almost 50% in Scotland. It is a strong, golden yellow lager with a pleasant malty and apple aroma and no bitter notes. Local ingredients, such as Highland water from Loch Katrine, are used to achieve this fresh taste.

The birth of the brand dates back to 1556 , when Robert Tennent founded a craft brewery in Glasgow. Two centuries later, in 1769, his heirs moved the brewery to its present location, while in 1876 the iconic red 'T' , the logo still in use today, was registered . Few brands have survived the centuries and two world wars and have become a true icon of Scotland around the world.

Following a seven-figure investment, we’ve launched the uk’s biggest beer attraction: the tennent’s story our new immersive visitor centre tour takes you through our famous beer, covering everything from its origins, production, provenance and even how to pour the perfect pint. centred on the story of hugh tennent and the first brew of tennent’s lager in 1885, we’ll take you on monumental and historic animated journey featuring artefacts gathered from the first days of brewing at wellpark in 1556 through to today.  on the tour you’ll discover how we make tennent's so special, from refining the ingredients to mashing, malting, brewing, kegging and more.  the tour ends at the revamped tasting experience which is home to the country’s latest tennent’s tank lager installation - serving up brewery fresh pints of tennent’s from impressive copper tanks filled with unpasteurised liquid straight from brewery floor only a few hundred meters away., production times, customers are advised that as the tour takes place in a working brewery, some areas of the production process may not be fully operational due to essential maintenance of the machinery between friday evenings and monday mornings including the full weekend., essential health & safety info  , please note: customers who are believed to have consumed alcohol before commencing the tour will not be admitted to the premises and the refund policy will not apply. customers are advised to wear sensible shoes (no heels, flip flops or opened toed shoes) and be aware they will need to climb over 100 steps.  also, you may be required to wear earplugs in some parts of the brewery as this is a requirement for all staff. tennent’s visitor centre is committed to providing an excellent service for all visitors. please advise us when booking if you or anyone in your tour party requires wheelchair access or may have difficulty with stairways or walking for an hour, so we can plan to accommodate your needs. as the event will take place in the brewery there is no place to accommodate smoking or vaping so it cannot be permitted for the full event. not adhering to the health and safety rules when on tours or events will result in being asked to leave the premises., no photos can be taken in the productions areas of the tour., cancellation policy, to cancel or change the date of your brewery tour, you must notify the tennents visitor centre no less than 48 hours prior to the tour by calling 0141 202 7145 or emailing [email protected]. cancellations within 48 hours of the tour will result in full payment being charged without exception. no refunds will be made available, and we will endeavour to reschedule your booking for another date..

Award winning Red Onion is situated in the heart of Glasgow city centre. Chef/patron, John Quigley's roller coaster career started in London’s West End where he quickly established himself and gained a reputation for excellent casual gourmet dining. He then took the opportunity to travel the world as a private chef to rock stars and celebrities such as Bryan Adams, Tina Turner and Guns n Roses. Since returning to Glasgow John has opened and established numerous successful restaurants which have achieved international recognition. In 2005 John, along with his wife Gillian, decided to open their own restaurant – Red Onion.
