100 gecs Announce North American Tour

100 gecs are going on tour this fall. The North American leg of the 10,000 gecs tour begins with a show at Fox Theater in Oakland on October 8. The itinerary includes shows in Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, and many more cities. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 16. Last year, 100 gecs released the 1000 gecs remix compilation 1000 gecs & the Tree of Clues . The duo’s Laura Les shared a solo track called “ Haunted ” this past March. She and Dylan Brady also put out a remix of Linkin Park’s “ One Step Closer ” at the beginning of 2021.

100 Gecs are set to kick off a North American tour later this fall.

The 34-date 10,000 Gecs tour will launch on October 8th at the Fox Theater in Oakland and run all the way through December 9th, when the run wraps at Terminal 5 in New York City. Tickets for all shows will go on sale July 16th at 10 a.m. local time via 100 Gecs’ website .

100 Gecs released their debut album, 1000 Gecs , back in May 2019, while last July they followed it up with the remix compilation, 1000 Gecs and the Tree of Clues . That featured new versions of songs on 1000 Gecs with contributions from Charli XCX, Fall Out Boy, Rico Nasty, Tommy Cash, Hannah Diamond, Dorian Electra, and more.

Earlier this year, 100 Gecs teamed up with Linkin Park for a remake of “One Step Closer,” which was part of the band’s 20th-anniversary celebration of Hybrid Theory . One-half of the group, Dylan Brady, also recently contributed to a 10th-anniversary remix of Rebecca Black’s “Friday,” as well as a new song with Pussy Riot and Dorian Electra, “Toxic.”

100 gecs announce 10,000 gecs North American tour

Taking place between October and December this year

100 gecs have announced a North American tour, kicking off later this year.

Dubbed the 10,000 gecs Tour, the duo’s 34-stop circuit includes shows in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and their hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Tickets go on sale this Friday (July 16) through their website.

The act released their debut album, ‘1000 Gecs’, in 2019, and quickly followed it up with an accompanying remix album, ‘1000 Gecs and the Tree of Clues’ featuring Charli XCX , A.G. Cook , Rico Nasty and Fall Out Boy , among others.

NME gave the remix album four stars upon its release, calling it a “brain-melting, genre-crushing vision of pop’s future”.

“By spotlighting upcoming artists alongside established names, 100 Gecs give an IRL boost to their ever-expanding community of internet collaborators on ‘1000 Gecs & the Tree of Clues’ while providing an exhilarating snapshot of pop’s alternative future.”

More recently, both members Dylan Brady and Laura Les have embarked on separate material. Brady produced a 10th-anniversary remix of Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ in February, and Les released her debut solo single, ‘Haunted’ , in March. The duo also remixed Linkin Park‘s classic ‘One Step Closer’ as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the nu metal band’s debut album, ‘Hybrid Theory’.

100 gecs announce North American tour dates with Machine Girl

The stateside shows promoting their upcoming album 10,000 gecs begin this spring..

100 gecs will embark on an extensive tour of North America this spring in support of their second studio album, 10,000 gecs , due out March 17. The dates begin after a handful of shows in Australia and New Zealand, kicking off on April 4 in San Jose, California. The experimental pop duo will perform for two months straight across the United States and Canada with Machine Girl opening. Artist pre-sale for the shows begins on January 25 with a general sale on January 27. See all of the band’s announced tour dates below.

10,000 gecs follows last year’s Snake Eyes EP, a surprise three-track drop that featured the Skrillex collaboration “Torture Me.” The new album will contain the previously released singles “ Doritos & Fritos “ and “ MeMeMe .” 100 gecs & the Tree of Clues , a full-length remix of the band’s debut album 1000 gecs , was released in 2020.

100 gecs Announce 2021 North American Tour Dates

The hyperpop duo's long-awaited headlining tour

100 gecs are riding their stupid horse to a city near you. Two years after their debut album, 1000 gecs , took over the internet, the experimental duo of Dylan Brady and Laura Les is finally embarking on a long-awaited North American tour in 2021. The aptly-titled “10,000 gecs Tour” commences in Oakland this October, with its finale going down at New York City’s Terminal 5 in December.

100 gecs made fans out of seemingly everyone in 2019 with their crunchy hyperpop instrumentals and irreverent lyrics. They performed a handful of sold-out shows and announced a lengthy run of dates just before the world shut down in 2020, meaning this tour has been a very long time in the making.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 16th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . See their schedule below.

100 gecs followed up their album with a track-by-track remix album, 1000 gecs and the Tree of Clues , which featured contributions from Charli XCX, Fall Out Boy, and more. In-between Brady’s numerous production endeavors for other artists, 100 gecs capped last year with their anti-Christmas banger, “sympathy 4 the grinch.” In January, the duo celebrated the anniversary of Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory by sharing a remix of “One Step Closer.”

At the very apex of internet culture, they are a fusion of chiptune, ska, and emo EDM. Causing waves across the hyper-pop genre, the duo is composed of Laura Les and Dylan Brady. After quickly becoming TikTok sensations with their self released LP '1000 Gecs' , their first album would continue to rack up streams, with their song 'Money Machine' accumulating over 83 million streams . The ambitious debut album also impressively took out VICE Magazine's 'Album of The Year'.

The duo went on to release a remix album in 2020, '1000 Gecs and The Tree of Clues'. The LP featured some massive industry names, including pop royalty Charli XCX and esteemed emo rock band Fall Out Boy. The highly acclaimed album is an unapologetic reflection on a frustrated generation of youth that glides effortlessly between genres and styles.

The energy 100 gecs brings to their live shows is unparalleled. As with their recorded music, 100 gecs live defy all logic and, especially, all rules. The one thing that can be counted on is the pure hype they’ll bring. Described by the Guardian as ‘a kind of weirdo love letter to emo and ska performed with far more reverence than one might expect’, expect the unexpected when 100 gecs take to the stage early 2023.

100 gecs’ 2023 us tour.

Moment Factory Music collaborated with Andrew Marchbank to deliver a striking, over-the-top show perfect for hyperpop maximalists 100 gecs ’ wild style.

Fresh off their latest critically acclaimed album, hyperpop extremists 100 gecs recently performed their American tour, with Moment Factory Music heading up tour production. Creative Director Manuel Galarneau, a longtime listener of the band, gave Notch Designer Andrew Marchbank an in-depth brief considerate of detail while leaving a lot of room for experimentation.

The creative team mainly sought to execute visuals that matched gecs’ unconventional yet powerful style. They aimed to illustrate the music with a flow of monochrome to saturated colours, as well as distorted textures, such as warped features, datamosh glitches, and abstract liquid looks. For more intricate effects, Marchbank used Notch’s Virtual Background and Face Tracker features.

The team used a disguise gx 2c media server running Notch, allowing for seamless effects integration and streamlining the overall workflow. Marchbank applied effects on timecoded tracks, which made it possible to keyframe the effect parameters and dial in how Notch would react at every second of the show.

“Notch allowed us to create experimental live visual effects and seamlessly integrate them with a media server, enabling us to keyframe parameters and have the greatest impact throughout the set.”

100 gecs are excited to announce their debut Australian & New Zealand headline shows in Wellington, Sydney and Melbourne , alongside their highly-anticipated appearances at Laneway Festival .

At the very apex of internet culture, they are a fusion of chiptune, ska, and emo EDM. Causing waves across the hyper-pop genre, the duo is composed of Laura Les and Dylan Brady. After quickly becoming TikTok sensations with their self released LP ‘1000 Gecs’ , their first album would continue to rack up streams, with their song ‘Money Machine’ accumulating over 83 million streams . The ambitious debut album also impressively took out VICE Magazine’s ‘Album of The Year’.

The duo went on to release a remix album in 2020, ‘1000 Gecs and The Tree of Clues’. The LP featured some massive industry names, including pop royalty Charli XCX and esteemed emo rock band Fall Out Boy. The highly acclaimed album is an unapologetic reflection on a frustrated generation of youth that glides effortlessly between genres and styles.

The energy 100 gecs brings to their live shows is unparalleled. As with their recorded music, 100 gecs live defy all logic and, especially, all rules. The one thing that can be counted on is the pure hype they’ll bring. Described by the Guardian as ‘a kind of weirdo love letter to emo and ska performed with far more reverence than one might expect’, expect the unexpected when 100 gecs take to the stage early 2023.

Their planned 2020 Australian tour, which sadly didn’t go ahead due to COVID restrictions, sold out in astonishing time – so make sure you get in early to avoid missing out!

A new wave one-stop shop will tour North America this summer when Howard Jones and ABC will be hitting stages across North America with special guest Haircut 100. The full itinerary appears below.

Of course, the evening will play out like an evening filled with hits from the early days of MTV, when the so-called “Second British Invasion” dominated the channel. Jones’ hits “New Song” and “What Is Love,” and “Things Can Only Get Better” probably segued into or out of ABC’s “Look of Love,” “Poison Arrow” and “Be Near Me” and Haircut 100’s “Love Plus One” and “Fantastic Day.”

All three acts have gone on to other successes, but this tour brings together the songs and sounds that first brought them to fame.
